Billie: If our D.N.A. tests match that lock of hair, we'll know for sure that our daughter's alive.

Bo: Or at least she was.

Billie: It's our first solid clue, Bo. She's out there. I know she is.

Hope: Any word yet?

Billie: Not yet. Maybe it's just that I want it to be true so much, but... I know our D.N.A. is gonna match. We're gonna find her, Bo. We are.

Hope: I hope you won't be disappointed.

Patrick: Am I holding you too close?

Chelsea: Not close enough.

Toby Keith: She came through the front door looking fast as a big train booking down the line

Abby: Chelsea's asking for major trouble. So far I'd say you're batting zero.

Chelsea: Just wait. I have a secret weapon.

Abby: What is that?

Chelsea: It's just some herbal stuff I found in my mom's medicine cabinet. It's supposed to be some type of mood enhancer.

Abby: Your mom uses it?

Chelsea: When she's stressed, it helps her mellow out. And Patrick is about to be one very mellow fellow.

Abby: What if Chelsea gets caught?

Chelsea: And now for the finishing touch. Your mother's --

Abby: You stole my mom's perfume?

Chelsea: Uh, borrowed. Eau du Jennifer is not exactly my style. But I figure, since it's hers, Patrick probably likes it. Anything to drive the guy crazy.

Abby: I hope Chelsea knows what she's getting into.

A country boy like me

don't never get

no uptown lovin'

she's sweet

she's got 'em melting

in her hand

Patrick: You're beautiful.

Chelsea: And you're so totally hot.

Sure is a lucky man

she's sweet

telling you boys

she's babelicious

I can't reach

that Georgia peach

but she sure looks delicious

Patrick: Jennifer.

I had nothing else to do

so I threw down

two more shots of booze

and it made me strong

I strapped my courage on

would you like

to dance with me

In my best southernese

John: Philip and my daughter, Kate... it never would've happened if Marlena were here. She needed a parent to be there for her.

Kate: You're in too much pain of your own.

John: Translation -- I was hammered on drugs. That's a pathetic excuse. I just should've made damn sure that she was over Shawn before she ever married Philip. I'm so sorry.

Kate: You can't -- you can't be there for your children every minute. Sometimes, they have to make mistakes of their own.

John: They need guidance. Shut up, John Black. Here I am, whining about being a lousy father, and you're worried sick whether Philipís even alive or not. I'm sorry.

Kate: He has to be. Missing in action -- that means that they really don't know anything, right? Oh, God. I know that I have to be strong, but I-I feel so weak. I feel so afraid. Living longer than your child -- it's just not natural. Oh, please, God, please -- please let my son be alive.

Jan: Call it blackmail if you want to, but I'm not the one that had the abortion, Meems.

Mimi: Shut up. Rex is in the other room. He's trying to find out some news about Philip on the internet, okay?

Jan: Well, that's a waste of time. Philip is M.I.A. The guy is toast.

Mimi: Don't say that.

Jan: I'm just being realistic. Besides, this is great news for me. As long as Philipís in this limbo land -- not dead, not alive -- Belle won't break her wedding vows. And then she won't be with Shawn, and you're gonna make sure of it, Meems, unless of you course you want me to tell Rex the gruesome truth.

Belle: Did you see the way my dad looked at me?

Shawn-d: Yeah, he loves you. He wants you to be happy.

Belle: I know. He wanted that so bad for me. I mean, he walked me down the aisle when he was in so much pain, and he had tears in his eyes when I exchanged vows with Philip. How do I break those vows now?

Shawn-d: Your dad knows this isn't your fault.

Belle: It is my fault. Look, you've gotta leave. I can't be with you right now.

Shawn-d: No, don't start doing this right now.

Belle: Look, we can't be together, okay? Just --

Shawn-d: I'm not leaving you -- not now, not ever.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Billie: I won't be disappointed. That D.N.A. test is gonna tell us something one way or another. And when those tests come in, I'm gonna start looking for Georgia again.

Hope: You have criminal charges pending against you. You can't just leave town.

Billie: I know that. That's why I'm gonna get the charges dropped.

Bo: You know what? I'm gonna get us some coffee. Decaf, right?

Hope: Yeah.

Billie: Hi. Are the D.N.A. test results in yet?

Man: No, it's one of those things you can't rush. Yeah.

Billie: Okay, thanks, yeah. Well, listen, I gotta go take care of something very important at the Cheatin' Heart. So if those results come in and I'm not here, call me on this number. It's my cell.

Man: Okay.

Billie: Thank you so much.

Bo: Where's Billie?

Hope: She left.

Bo: Left? Why'd you let her leave?

Don't she look delicious?

Chelsea: Here's my number. My name's Angelica. Think you can remember that?

Patrick: You're not Jen?

Chelsea: I'm Angelica. Call me. We can hook up.

Patrick: I've got something to do.

Chelsea: I'll save you a dance... anytime.

Don't she look delicious?

She's sweet

look here

Patrick: Okay, Eddie. That's very funny, that's very funny. What, drugging my drink -- that's the only way you can win?

Eddie: What the hell are you talking about?

Patrick: Who was it, huh? Frank? Louie? Which one of those geniuses did you get to do that to me, huh? [Groans] head.

Eddie: Hey, look, I'm not saying I never cheat, but tonight was on the square. You lost, Lockhart. Your marker is still in play, all right? And, uh, I'm looking forward to getting what you owe me.

Patrick: Yeah, that's fine. Don't worry about it. I'm good for it.

Eddie: Yeah, well, as long as you are, then it'll be a pleasure doing business with you.

Patrick: Hey, man, don't -- how do I get myself into these things?

Chelsea: Did you see?

Abby: Was it a good kiss?

Chelsea: Was it good? I never knew a kiss could be that good. I guess that's the difference between a boy and a man.

Abby: It was still just a kiss, Chels.

Chelsea: He wanted me.

Abby: You drugged his drink. He would've kissed anybody who came on to him, and if he wanted you, you wouldn't have to wear that and my mom's perfume. And you wouldn't need him to be half-unconscious. Come on, let's go.

Chelsea: No. No. I'm gonna make sure he doesn't forget me.

Baby, you know my heart

it's in the right place

Chelsea: Wanna dance?

Patrick:'s you.

Jan: I don't even feel sorry for you, you know. You brought this problem on yourself.

Mimi: Like I don't know that.

Jan: You act like this is something you don't have to pay for.

Mimi: I am paying, believe me.

Jan: I'll believe you when you get your butt over to Belle's loft and convince the slut to be

true to her husband and leave my man alone.

Mimi: He is not your man. It is a total fantasy. He doesn't love you, Jan. He never has.

Jan: You don't know what it's like when we're together. He loves me.

Mimi: I do think I know how it was last summer. I don't know how you did it, but I know you kept him prisoner.

Jan: He's stronger than me. How could I have done that?

Mimi: You're evil.

Mimi: God. I can't believe Jan did this to Shawn. I have to tell him and Belle. It's time everyone knew the truth about that sick bitch. You kept Shawn locked in that cage and tormented him with videos you were making of Belle and Philip getting closer, which never would've happened if Shawn had been in Salem.

Jan: Fascinating story. You should send it in to one of those teen magazines.

Mimi: It's not a story. It happened, Jan. And when Shawn gets over his amnesia from the motorcycle accident and remembers what you did to him, I certainly wouldn't want to be you.

Jan: Well, I certainly wouldn't want to be you if rex finds out that you got rid of the only kid you and he could ever have together. Now do what I'm telling you. Go to Belle's and tell her that she has to be loyal to Philip. She can't see Shawn anymore. It's not that hard, Meems. You just have to go there and tell her to do the right thing. That way, you can save yourself. You know, I think I'm being very nice by giving you a second chance at happiness.

Shawn-d: You're going through one of the worst times in your life, and you want me to walk out of here and just leave you alone? No. I love you.

Belle: Stop it, okay? Stop saying that. We can't be together.

Shawn-d: But we don't know how much longer Philip is gonna be missing. I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm just being honest. He could be returned to his unit tomorrow, he could be held indefinitely. But you cannot spend the rest of your life waiting for him to come back.

Belle: But I should. I married him. I'm his wife, and I promised to be till death do us part.

Shawn-d: No, you -- I love you, and you need me. I know you do.

Belle: No, people wouldn't understand. Even if all we did was talk and be friends, people would think that I was cheating on Philip.

Shawn-d: That's not true. You don't know if people --

Belle: Shawn...

Shawn-d: Who cares?

Belle: Please leave. And don't come back.

Kate: I'm sorry.

John: It's okay.

Kate: No, I'm sorry. I don't want to burden you with all this. You have enough to deal with.

John: Kate... we're family. My daughter married your son. I'm living this nightmare right along with you. And that's why I need to be strong for you and Belle. I gotta get past this pain.

Kate: The best way you can do that is to stay in bed -- to stay in bed and rest, okay? Look, I have to tell -- I have to tell Lucas the news. I'll be back.

John: It's this... damn pain that's keeping me locked down to this bed. I gotta get out of here if I'm ever gonna help Kate and Belle. And there's just... one way that's gonna happen.

Bo: Why did Billie leave? You guys have another fight?

Hope: I'm not her keeper. It's not like she checked in with me.

Bo: Do you know where she went?

Hope: I overheard her telling a lab technician she was heading over to the Cheatin' Heart.

Bo: Oh, great. An alcoholic going to a bar. That's perfect. The judge is itching to throw her in jail. That's why she's staying at our house. Look, I know you're anxious to get rid of her, but --

Hope: You know what? Stop right there, okay?

Bo: What?

Hope: I will not let you make me the evil wife while she plays the innocent ex. Well, I'm sick of it.

Bo: I'm trying to protect her.

Hope: From what?

Bo: From getting hurt.

Hope: We all get hurt, don't we? It's a part of life.

Bo: Yeah. It is. And right now she's a basket case waiting for these test results, thinking our daughter is within reach. I gotta go find her before she gets in more trouble.

Hope: Wait a minute. Now you're following her to the Cheatin' Heart?

Bo: I don't want her to get drunk again, and neither do you, 'cause then we'll never get rid of her. I gotta go get her and bring her back here.

Hope: You have a point. Let's go.

Bo: All right.

[Pop music playing]

Patrick: Do I know you?

Chelsea: It's me -- Angelica. I gave you my number. You don't remember? Anyway, this song makes me want to dance. Come on.

Look at my heart

look at my face

talk to my heart

baby, you know my heart

it's in the right place

Billie: Oh. Well, he's a free agent. He's single and gorgeous. So what if he's dancing with that tramp? Hey, how's it going?

Chad: Not bad.

Billie: Good.

Chad: Punch any cops lately?

Billie: As a matter of fact, ha ha, no. And I'm sober.

Chad: Good. 'Cause I don't need another brawl in here.

Billie: Look, I didn't come here to make any trouble, I promise. I actually came here to ask you for a little favor. You know that cop that I hit? Um, I was hoping you might be able to talk to him and try and get him to drop the charges against me.

Chad: Why should I?

Billie: Well, 'cause it'd help me out, obviously. And, more importantly to you, it'd be good for the bar. Because, you know, if this thing goes to trial, the Cheatin' Heart's gonna get some pretty bad publicity, and you don't want that.

Chad: Good point.

Billie: Look, what happened the other night really was a misunderstanding, and if you could help me out... I'd be grateful forever.

Chad: No problem. The guy comes in here all the time when he's off-duty. I'll see what I can do. Here you go. Soda on the house.

Billie: Ha ha. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Chad: Anytime.

It's in the right place

baby, you know my heart

it's in the right place

baby, you know my heart

Patrick: I gotta talk to somebody.

Baby, you know my heart

hey, hey

Patrick: Hey. How you doing?

Billie: Hey, whoa. Much better than you. How many have you had?

Patrick: Uh, just a couple.

Billie: Yeah. Yeah, right. Hey. You okay?

Patrick: Um, yeah.

Chelsea: Look at that. She's all over him.

Abby: She's holding him up, Chelsea. That's what that stuff you put in his drink did to him.

Chelsea: Well, I have more in my bag, and I'll put some in her glass. That way, she'll be too weirded out to put the moves on my guy.

Abby: Everyone would think she was drunk. You can't do that.

Chelsea: Well, then she better keep her hands off my guy, or I'm gonna get her into some serious trouble. We're daring bucket users

Billie: Whoa, come here, come here, sit down, sit down. I can't believe the bartender kept serving you.

Patrick: I told you, I didn't have a lot to drink. I think someone spiked my drink, okay?

Chelsea: Billie is not even paying attention to her drink. I could go in there, put it in her glass, and she wouldn't even know. No problem.

Abby: I won't let you do something stupid like that.

Chelsea: Give that back. That's mine.

Abby: Technically, it's your momís.

Abby: That's my mom's cousin and her husband.

Chelsea: So what?

Abby: They're cops. Hide. I hate this whole night. I'm going home.

Chelsea: No. Okay, fine. You can go home and explain to your mom why you're not spending the night at my place like you're supposed to be. I'm staying here. I gotta keep my eye on Patrick.

Bo: Aw, damn it, I knew there'd be trouble.

Hope: Bo, hold on a second.

Bo: Lockhart, let go of her.

Billie: What? Hey!

Bo: How stupid can you be, huh? In your situation, you're out on bail in a bar hanging out with this loser. Would you stay the hell away from her?

Mimi: Here. Poor Philip.

Belle: I just feel like it's all my fault.

Mimi: You didn't do this to him, okay? You love Philip. You married him.

Belle: Yeah, but I'm in love with Shawn, and maybe subconsciously he knew that, and that's why he put himself in danger.

Mimi: Oh, stop thinking that way. Belle, you have to stay positive. The marines are going to be doing everything they can to find him. And Rex is monitoring the search on the internet. If he finds out any news, he'll tell us.

Belle: I know. It's just so hard.

Mimi: Well, you cannot give up hope.

Belle: I'm trying. I told Shawn I didn't wanna see him anymore.

Mimi: That's good. I'm proud of you.

Belle: He didn't wanna leave.

Mimi: Well, you know Shawn, he wants what he wants when he wants it.

Belle: He loves me.

Mimi: I know, I know. He always has. But, um, I think -- I think Philipís always been secretly in love with you the whole time, too -- even when he was dating Chloe. I just think he probably didn't think he stood a chance against Shawn.

Belle: It felt like the right thing to do, to tell Shawn not to come back, but I just don't wanna break his heart, too. God, Mimi, I don't know what I'm doing anymore. You are -- you are my best friend, and I trust you. What should I do? Should I -- should I keep Shawn out of my life?

Shawn-d: Why are you still here?

Jan: I made some coffee. Want some?

Shawn-d: No, I don't want coffee. I want you to get out. We're not engaged anymore. Why can't you get that?

Jan: Because I'm in love with you, that's why -- totally and hopelessly in love with you and only you. I can't even imagine looking at another guy ever. Why are you home? I thought you were with Belle.

Shawn-d: I was.

Jan: Oh, my God, she is so stupid. She threw you out, didn't she? See, that right there -- that is something that I would never do. I can't bear to be away from you. I want you always.

Shawn-d: But I don't want to be with you.

Jan: No, you just think that you donít. I know that it's hard to let go of a dream. But sometimes you just have to. And then other times, you have to keep believing. And that's what I'm doing with us. I'm believing that you're gonna remember all the love you feel for me. Shawn, what's wrong?

Shawn-d: Get these cuffs off me, I'll get my arms around you.

Jan: No, I do not believe you.

Shawn-d: What?

Jan: If you really wanted to be here, then why were you yelling for help, huh? You were trying to get the keys and get out. And that, Shawn, is very, very naughty. I'm afraid you are gonna have to be punished. Honey, what can I do for you?

Shawn-d: I know what you did to me.

They're so much a part of us.

Wonderful guys, wonderful guys.

Our country is hurting. We have lost four dedicated citizens who were willing to do something about it.

Bo: Can't stay away from the booze, can you?

Patrick: I didn't get drunk.

Bo: Uh-huh. You're real sober. Slobbering all over Billie -- what -- why are you hanging out with this loser? You do that, you'll wind up doing time. You'll be able to find your daughter from behind bars, yeah.

Patrick: Someone put something in my drink, okay? I was drugged.

Bo: Right. Who'd want to drug you?

Patrick: I don't know, I don't know. I was playing poker, all right? And I was losing.

Bo: Okay, so you're lousy at cards.

Patrick: No, that's not it. I -- there was this guy Eddie. And he had guys with him. It was them.

Bo: Okay, where's Eddie and his guys?

Patrick: I don't know, man. I don't -- I don't see them. They're -- they're probably still in the back room.

Bo: You're full of lies.

Hope: If he says he was drugged, maybe he was, Bo.

Bo: Okay, fine, where's your drink? We'll have it tested.

Patrick: I don't have my glass. It was -- it was cleared away, along with the guys I was playing cards with.

Hope: Patrick, I believe you.

Bo: Why are you taking sides with him?

Hope: Shouldn't I? You always take Billieís side, don't you?

John: Kate's been there for me through this whole withdrawal. And... now, when she needs me most, I'm in too much pain to help her. I can't just lie here in this damn bed while Philipís God only knows where. Who are you?!

[Groaning in pain] Oh, you lousy scum! You burst into my house with those drugs... who the hell are you?

Sami: I told you, I came to help you. And this is how you thank me?

John: For the last time, get out of here, or I'm gonna kill you.

Sami: Ouch. Looks like you're in a little pain there, pops. Maybe you need these after all.

John: Hang in there, John. You just be strong.

Sami: You can be strong tomorrow.

John: Aah! One little pill, that's all it would take, and you would feel so much better.

John: Get out of my house.

Sami: All right, sure. I'll go. I'm gonna be a nice guy, put these here with you. Sooner or later, I know you're gonna want 'em. And when you do, remember, there's plenty more where that came from.

Kate: What are you doing?

Shawn-d: I keep having these memories -- these flashes of being shackled to a bed in a cage.

Jan: Kinky. We can do that if you want. You know, I'll do anything you want, Shawn. Shawn, I love you. What's wrong with you that you're rejecting a woman who only wants to make you happy so you can get rejected by a woman who's only thinking about her husband? Let Belle go. She doesn't deserve you.

Shawn-d: You don't know anything about our feelings for each other.

Jan: It was a high school romance. How many people who fall in love when they're kids grow up and get married? Practically nobody. There's a reason for that, Shawn. People change. You and Belle -- look, I don't want to hurt your feelings, but your parents are blue-collar cops. Belle's parents are professionals with trust funds. Face it. Philip is more in her league.

Shawn-d: No. See, Belle is not like that. She respects my mom and dad.

Jan: Okay, fine. But if she loved you with the type of love that actually lasts, she would be here with you right now. But she's not. She can't even tell Philip that her marriage is over. That's because she's not sure it really is. Shawn, look at me. Look at me. Can you honestly say that Belle loves you more than I do?

Belle: I'm so afraid I'm doing the wrong thing about Shawn. I love him so much, but it just doesn't feel right to be with him, you know, even as a friend while Philipís missing. What do you think?

Mimi: I think you -- you need to just follow your instincts and do what you think is right. I mean, you can't always follow your heart.

Belle: Thanks. I knew you'd be honest with me. It really helps to have your support.

Mimi: Um... if Philipís missing for, like, you know, a really long time...

Belle: What will I do about Shawn? I don't know. I've thought about that. I mean, it could be months, even years, right?

Mimi: Yeah. And with Shawn right here... and then what if Philip was rescued and got sent back home and -- and was expecting to just pick up where he left off and be your husband? He'd be a hero, you know? There'd probably be reporters all over the place asking questions. I can see the headlines. "Hero reunites with his loving wife who waited for him." I mean, the whole country would expect you to stay with Philip.

Belle: The whole country?

Mimi: Well, you know how those stories get blown up in the press. I mean, would you ever really be able to break Philipís heart and tell him that you want to be with Shawn?

Hope: There's no reason to believe Patrickís lying, Bo.

Bo: Are you kidding me? He's bad news. I don't want him anywhere near my family.

Hope: Are you including Billie when you say "your family"?

Bo: You know what I mean.

Hope: No, actually, I donít.

Bo: We have to get back to the hospital. We're gonna have the D.N.A. results pretty soon.

Billie: Right. See, 'cause Bo and I have a family that has nothing to do with you, and that's something that none of us can help, so why don't you stop fighting it, Hope? And while you're at it, quit fighting me.

Bo: Hope, Billie, come on.

Billie: What? Ow, ow!

Bo: Would you not make things worse?

Hope: How are you getting home?

Patrick: I've got my car, okay?

Hope: Oh, no, wait a minute, wait a minute. There is no way I am letting you get behind a wheel like this, no matter how you got that way. We'll drop you off at Jenniferís on the way, okay?

Patrick: No, it's fine. You know, I'll walk. The air -- it's gonna -- it's gonna clear my head.

Hope: Patrick, take it easy.

Chelsea: Look at all the older women going after him. Who's next -- Alice Horton?

Hope: Hey, if your drink was spiked, you really need to be careful for the next few hours, okay, until the effects wear off. You also need to watch your back.

Patrick: I will, I will. And, hey, Hope, thanks for believing me.

[Cellular phone rings]

Billie: Billie Reed.

Man: Miss Reed, it's the lab at University Hospital. You know, the D.N.A. test results will be in soon, okay?

Kate: You are not supposed to be out of bed.

John: I'm not.

Kate: That's just because I caught you before you got up.

John: Now, you think you know everything, don't you? Well, you're wrong. The fact is, I've already been out of bed, and I got myself a glass of water, and I was just getting back into bed.

Kate: Yeah, well, that's exactly what I'm supposed to be doing for you, okay? Would you please not risk all that progress that you've made?

John: Ah, Kate, Kate, Kate...

Kate: Here, lay down.

John: Kate... you're running Basic Black all by yourself, and now you've got a whole 'nother set of issues to deal with. The last thing you need to do is play nursemaid to me.

Kate: You know something? If I could go over there with an AK-47 and try to find Philip, then I would do that. But since that's not gonna happen, I can at least feel useful here taking care of you.

John: How did Lucas take the news?

Kate: Not very good. He's only had bad news lately. And his biggest worry is how to tell will. That poor kid -- his parents' marriage broke up before it even got started. Now his mother's taken off. So if he didn't have Lucas as a strong presence in his life, I don't know what -- what would happen to him.

John: In all my experience, it's best never to keep the truth from the kids.

Kate: Yeah. Well, one of Salemís soldiers is now missing in action. I know it's gonna be all over the news. There'll probably be satellite trucks pulling up in front of Belle's loft. It's gonna be a strain on everyone. Now I have to find a way to tell Billie. God. John. Life is just so hard for us.

John: That's -- that's why we're gonna be here for each other. Now, I want you to listen to me. You -- you just worry about your kids, and I'm still gonna do everything I can to bring Philip safely home to you.

Kate: You are in no condition to do that.

John: That's okay. I've got the phones here. I can call my contacts.

Kate: As long as you don't overdo it. Please. I am so proud of the way you have hung tough through -- through all of this recovery. John... if you have a relapse now, you could go to a place that you might never come out of.

John: That's not gonna happen.

Kate: You promise me?

John: Yeah, I promise you.

Kate: Call me if you need something.

Chad: Here, you forgot this.

Chelsea: Oh, thank you.

Chad: You're welcome. Have a good night.

Chelsea: You too. Now that I've been kissed like that by Patrick, I can't live without more. And I know he feels the same way.

Abby: I'm getting you out of here before my relatives see us and call my mom.

Hope: I hate to leave you like this. Are you sure you're gonna be okay?

Bo: Since when are you his keeper?

Patrick: I'm gonna say good night to Billie. Thank you.

Bo: Why is he thanking you?

Hope: For believing him.

Bo: The D.N.A. results are gonna be in soon. We gotta get back to the hospital.

Hope: I honestly hope you get the results you want, Bo.

Billie: Hey, someone tried to hurt you tonight, and I don't like it. You be careful, okay?

Patrick: Okay. I will if you will.

Billie: It's a deal.

Patrick: Good night.

Billie: I got your back.

[Cellular phone rings]

Billie: Hey, mom. What's up?

Kate: Sweetie, I have something I have to tell you, but I need to do it in person. Where are you?

Billie: Well, I'm on my way to the hospital, so I want you to meet me there because, hopefully, I have something to tell you, too.

Kate: The hospital? Are you okay?

Billie: Well, hopefully something may finally be very, very right. Bo and I got a lock of hair sent to us anonymously, and we have reason to believe it's from Georgia. Now, we took it to the lab for D.N.A. testing, and we're about to get the results right now.

Kate: Oh, my God, sweetie, this could be just the thing that -- that gets you together as a couple and as a family with Georgia. Oh, honey, I'm so excited for you.

Billie: Mom...

Kate: Just meet me at the hospital, okay?

Kate: Hey. I have to go out. Are you gonna be okay?

John: Yeah, I'm fine. I got the phones, and... we're -- we're working on getting Philip home to you safely, Kate.

Kate: I'm so grateful to you. Don't overdo it, though, okay? I'll be back.

John: I can't live like this. I gotta get myself strong again for the people who need me... for Philip.

Jan: Just look at the facts, Shawn. That's all that I'm asking you to do. I am here for you, and if you let me, I'll stay with you forever. Where's belle, huh? Where is she? She's not here with you. She's not thinking about you.

Shawn-d: Stop. Stop.

Jan: You can't ignore reality. She just sent you away. That ought to tell you enough about what her true feelings are. Look, I know that I'm not objective. I can't be. I love you too much. Maybe Belle will prove me wrong. If she says she loves you, maybe she'll follow through and really be with you. But, personally, I just don't think so.

Mimi: I mean, what would you do? How would you feel if the media's in your face with, like, "Belle, Mrs. Kiriakis... are you happy that your husband's home? How do you feel, Belle?"

Belle: God. I can't think about that right now.

Mimi: Well, you've got to think about it right now. If you wait until it happens, it'll just be terrible for everybody, especially if you get involved with -- with Shawn while Philipís M.I.A. The press will find out. They go digging for dirt like that.

Belle: This is breaking my heart.

Mimi: I know that, but... your whole -- your whole life could fall apart if you're not strong right now.

Belle: I know. I know. And that's why I have to stay away from Shawn and... concentrate on finding Philip and bringing him home. And Shawn will just have to understand.

Mimi: You... this might mean that you won't ever have a future with Shawn.

Belle: Yeah, well, my mom used to say that life doesn't always give you what you want, and the true test of character is what you do with what you're given.

Mimi: Your mom was such a smart lady.

Belle: And I have to make her proud of me wherever she is. So I have to do the right thing by Philip, even if that means risking my future with Shawn.

Jan's voice: I know it hurts, but Belle just doesn't love you enough to be with you.

Jack: As soon as I finish with the police, I'm taking you upstairs to that bedroom.

Jennifer: I have one more surprise in store for you.

Bo: We'll get the results, and then we'll go take care of whatever's up with Shawn.

Hope: You're putting a child who may not even exist ahead of your own son.

Belle: I have to be strong for Philip. And he wouldn't want you here, so you have to leave.

Philip: I will always be with you in your heart, watching over you, loving you, and protecting you for the rest of your life.
