Kate: Philip. No. Don't hurt him. Don't hurt him.

John: [Groaning]

Kate: What is it? What is it? Are you all right?

John: I'm sorry. I didn't -- didn't mean to wake you. I'm sorry.

Kate: It's okay. The pain's getting worse, isn't it?

John: If I could -- if I could just get some sleep.

Kate: Look, I can't -- I can't give you any more of the medication, it's too -- what about some warm milk, tea, or...

John: I don't think warm milk's gonna cut it. I'm gonna try to take a hot shower.

Kate: Are you sure? Do you want me to help you?

John: No. I think I can make it myself this time.

[Water running]

John: Whoa!

Kate: John?

Rex: Wow. Oh, home sweet home. Aren't you glad to be out of the hospital, sweetheart? Are you hungry? I can make you some soup or something.

Mimi: No, thank you. I'm not hungry. And I'm not an invalid.

Rex: I know you're not, but you did just have an operation.

Mimi: It was more like a test to find out --

Rex: Sweetheart, it's all right.

Mimi: No, it's not. I'm so sorry, Rex. I'm so sorry I can never give you children.

Rex: Mimi, look, I told you you don't have to be sorry. Okay, we'll find a way to get through this, but you gotta stop blaming yourself. This isn't your fault.

Jan: Are you sure about that?

Rex: I am warning you, Jan, back off. This isn't the time.

Jan: I was just trying to tell you --

Rex: I don't give a damn what you were trying to tell me. Just shut your mouth, or I swear to God I'll shut it for you.

Shawn-d: Belle, talk to me. Wait. Why'd you run out of the hospital? What did Jan say to you that made you so upset?

Jan: What you're doing to Philip is the absolute worst. He'd fight the enemy, crawl through the belly of hell for you, and all you can do is sit here and cheat on him with his best friend. At least they were best friends before you tore them apart.

Belle: We are not cheating on him.

Jan: You're pathetic. At least when Shawn and I got together, you were out of the picture.

Belle: How did this happen? How did we end up in this mess?

Man: Now are you ready to talk? Who are you? Where are your troops? And what were you sent to do?

Philip: Kiriakis, Philip. Private first class, 2-4-4-7-3...

Bart: Count D., I hate to interrupt whatever nastiness is going on here, but we need to talk. We still can't find Deveraux anywhere. There's no sign. It's like he -- he vanished from the face of the earth.

Jennifer: I love you, Jack. And I don't wanna spend the rest of my life alone. But I can't even think of life without you. Oh, my gosh, it can't be. No, it can't be.

Jack: Jennifer. Jennifer, sweetheart, wake up. It's me. It's me. Wake up. It's all right. It's me, all right. I'm here.

Jennifer: That's not possible.

Jack: It's possible, Jennifer, it's possible. I'm here. I came home to you. I came home to you and Abigail and the baby. I thought I'd never see you again.

Jennifer: Jack, how? How can you be here?

Jack: I left you a message on the phone. Didn't you get it? You get my phone message? It's right on the phone.

Jennifer: No.

Jack's voice: Jennifer, Jennifer, it's me. It's Jack. Listen, I know after you got my last message, you must be wondering where the hell I've been all this time. Suffice it to say that my escaping from my little prison in Europe was the easy part. But the good news is I'm on my way home, and I'm alive -- in that order. As a matter of fact, I'm right here in Salem. I'm right around the corner. I can't wait to see your face and hear your voice for real. I love you, and I'll see you in just a minute. Bye.

Jennifer: I can't believe it. I can't believe it. You're alive. I'm not dreaming. I'm not dreaming.

Jack: Jennifer, believe me, I'm here, and I'm never, ever gonna leave you again -- never.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Shawn-d: Hey, stop crying, okay? It's gonna be all right.

Belle: It's not. Nothing is all right. Philip is off at war risking his life on some dangerous mission while we're here planning our future together behind his back. You know, Mimi and Rex -- they just got engaged, they wanna start a family, but they can't because they just found out they can't have any more kids. And then there's my dad. Okay, no one we know is happy. What right do we have to think we will be?

Shawn-d: You can't think like that. God knows we have had our share of hell. But we deserve to be as happy as anyone else... and we're gonna be, starting tonight. Okay? Come here.

Bart: Ouch.

Man: One last time, and then we will get rough. Who are you? Where are your troops? And what were you sent to do?

Philip: Kiriakis, Philip. Private first class, 2-4-4-7-3-4.

Tony: They're laying it on a bit thick, aren't they?

Bart: Boss, I'm very worried about Deveraux.

Tony: Are you? I'm not.

Jack: Oh, I can't wait to see Abigail’s face and the baby's face. I know they're asleep.

Jennifer: No, Jack, wait. Listen, they're not here.

Jack: They're not here?

Jennifer: No, Doug and Julie have the baby, and Abby is spending the night at her friend Chelsea’s house.

Jack: Oh.

Jennifer: I'm sorry. You must be so disappointed.

Jack: No -- yes -- no, no. I-I-I suppose that means that at least for a little while, we have the house all to ourselves, doesn't it?

Jennifer: Yeah. Yeah, it certainly does.

Jack: Oh, Jennifer. It feels so good to hold you in my arms.

Jennifer: You have no idea how much I've dreamed about being in your arms again, Jack. But listen, I wanna -- I wanna know everything. I wanna know what happened. I wanna know how you are -- what happened to you.

Jack: What the heck is that? What's that?

Jennifer: What? What? What's wrong?

Jack: Jennifer, is that -- is that Patrick Lockhart and my family?

Jennifer: Yeah. Yeah, that's Patrick, Jack. He has been wonderful to us. I just didn't get a chance to tell you --

Jack: Tell me? Tell me what?

Jennifer: Tell you that he's been living here with us.

Jack: It's too late. It's too late.

Jennifer: What? What do you mean, "it's too late"?

Jack: How could -- how could you do -- Patrick -- Patrick Lockhart and you -- how could you --

Jennifer: No, Jack. No, no, you don't understand. We're not -- we're not living together. We're friends. Patrick's living in the apartment over the garage. Yeah, and I'm so glad that he is. He's been such a good help. Jack, I can't believe that you even thought that Patrick and I --

Jack: No, no, I'm sorry. I'm jumping to conclusions here. I just -- I've been alone too long in the dark, and having dark thoughts.

Jennifer: No, I can't even believe that you were thinking that Patrick --

Jack: No, I didn't wanna admit that I -- oh.

Jennifer: What, Jack? Admit what?

Jack: I-I've been having fantasies -- no, no, they were nightmares, really. They were horrible nightmares about you and Patrick.

Jennifer: Oh, Jack.

Jack: You loved him, and he'd taken over my family and my children. He had taken over my life.

Jennifer: How can you say that? Don't you know -- don't you know that you are the only man that I will ever love? Don't you know that?

Jack: I can't tell you how good -- it feels so good to hear that. It feels so good to hear that.

Jack: Oh, it feels so good to hear that. I don't wanna stop doing this.

Jennifer: No, and I don't want you to stop doing this. I want you to stay right here and keep doing this.

Jack: I've gotta call John. I've gotta call John and Bo. And I gotta call Abe. I gotta let 'em know what happened. I have to tell them what happened. It's gonna blow their minds.

Jan: Are you threatening me with physical violence?

Rex: Normally, I'd never think of hitting a girl, but in your case, I might make an exception.

Jan: Just to keep me from telling your fiancée's dirty little secret?

Rex: What happened to Mimi isn't a secret. And for your information, P.I.D. is nothing to be ashamed of.

Jan: Fine, whatever. Let's just change the subject. So, have either of you seen Belle or Shawn?

Rex: No.

Mimi: What business is it of yours, anyway?

Jan: It is my business. Shawn is still my fiancé.

Rex: Are you insane? He told you you were through. And as I recall, he told you to move out. So what are you even doing here?

Jan: I came to see him. He's just a little confused.

Mimi: Trust me, Jan, Shawn is not the one who's confused.

Jan: Why don't you keep your mouth shut or else?

Rex: If I were you, I'd take my warning seriously. Jan, if you keep making these crazy threats --

Jan: These are not crazy threats, which you'll find out once she stops undermining my relationship with Shawn.

Rex: You don't have a relationship with Shawn!

Jan: Of course I do. Don't I, Meems?

Mimi: Um, Rex, will you do me a favor?

Rex: Throw Jan off the fire escape?

Mimi: No, um, all of a sudden, I'm not feeling so great.

Rex: Oh, sweetheart, you want me to call Dr. Aubrey?

Mimi: No, no, no, it's nothing serious. She warned me that I would feel a little bit uncomfortable for the next few days. I just -- I need my prescription filled. Would you mind going to the drugstore?

Rex: Absolutely. I was gonna go anyway. I just wanted to make sure we got settled first. I don't feel really comfortable leaving you here with her.

Jan: Oh, please. I'm just waiting here for Shawn.

Rex: I hope he gets here soon so you can get it through your thick head that you don't live here anymore.

Jan: We'll see about that.

Rex: Yes, we will.

Mimi: Rex, believe me, I can handle Jan.

Rex: I know you can. I just don't want her upsetting you. You need to rest.

Mimi: It'll be okay. Please?

Rex: Fine. All right. I'll be back very soon, okay? I love you.

Mimi: I love you.

Jan: Don't you worry, Rexie, I'll take good care of her.

Rex: Just remember what I said.

Jan: Wow. He is such a cool guy -- so protective of his loved ones. I wonder how he's gonna feel when he finds out how you protected Rex Jr. -- His defenseless unborn child. Of course, I can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that that little kiss may have been your last.

Kate: Oh, my God! John, what happened? What happened?

John: I tried to turn the water on, and my legs gave out.

Kate: Let me help you get up. Careful, don't cut yourself.

John: Damn it, I can't take it anymore!

Kate: John, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Let me help you. I'm gonna call someone. I'm gonna call somebody who'll be able to help.

John: Thank you.

Bart: You know, sir, you really amaze me.

Tony: Oh, how so?

Bart: I mean, the way you can stay so calm and collected when you got so many balls in the air. I mean, it's bad enough that one of the balls has gone awol, but you got five other balls -- Salemites being held prisoner in the castle. And now here you got soldier boy Phil. I mean, what's the deal with that? I mean, what, are you trying to mess around with Belle Black and that Brady kid? And operation Georgia is going. And that is a huge ball, boss. That's like a medicine ball, because here, you're trying to break up Bo and Hope. And that's gonna take a lot of work, and you know that. And to top it all off, you got Sami Brady disguised as a man going around Salem doing still more of your dirty work.

Tony: Yes, and she -- I mean, he has been doing an excellent job. And thanks to our friend Stan -- who has kindly left the pills for my half-brother -- John Black will succumb to temptation and his eventual demise. Meanwhile, I'm just getting warmed up.

Shawn-d: You feeling any better?

Belle: Yeah.

Shawn-d: Good. 'Cause there's a few things I wanted to talk to you about what you said in the park.

Belle: I meant it. So many bad things have been happening, and they keep happening. How can we even begin to think about us?

Shawn-d: You're right. We are surrounded right now by a lot of pain and suffering.

Belle: For all we know, there's gonna be more.

Shawn-d: Which is why we can't and shouldn't wait to be together any longer.

Man: We've gotten very little information from him, sir.

Tony: Maybe we should try a new tack this time. Remind him of his loving wife and his devoted mommy waiting for him back home.

Man: May I ask why we're doing that?

Tony: Excuse me, you know all you need to.

Man: Yes, sir.

Bart: All part of the plan, right, sir? The master plan to destroy all the good people of Salem. But I gotta tell you something, if Jack gets back and blabs what he knows, you're the one that's gonna go down. And I'm telling you, when they get their hands on you, the Phoenix II is never gonna rise again.

Jennifer: No, no. You can’t. You can't call John or Abe or Bo.

Jack: What are you talking about?

Jennifer: Look, you don't understand. John is very sick. He is nearly disabled from everything that happened on that island. And, Jack, you just wouldn't believe Abe. I mean, they think that he's gonna go blind.

Jack: No, God, no, no. Tell me about Bo. Where's Bo? I gotta talk to Bo.

Jennifer: Bo's fine. He's good. He made it home safely, but he's wrapped up in details with Billie looking for their daughter.

Jack: Daughter?

Jennifer: Their daughter. It's a long story, but Georgia -- their daughter -- is possibly alive.

Jack: No, how could that be?

Jennifer: It's some old DiMera plot.

Jack: No, it's not an old DiMera plot. Tony is involved. Damn Tony. Damn him!

Jennifer: No, he is dead and gone, Jack. And if there's any justice in the world, he's gonna burn in hell --

Jack: No, no, no. He is alive, and he is well. Tony is alive.

Jennifer: What are you talking about?

Jack: Tony was the one who was holding me prisoner. Tony is alive.

Jennifer: Oh, my gosh, of course he is. Of course he is. Who else?

Jack: Jennifer. Jennifer, you better sit down.

Jennifer: Why?

Jack: 'Cause if that shocked you, you're not gonna believe the rest of it.

Bart: Boss, will you listen to me? You're starting to freak me out again.

Tony: Am I?

Bart: Yes, you are. I mean, you're not thinking things through. The consequences of Jack on the loose -- even this thing with John Black. All right, Kate, Nicole, Brady -- they all are hip to the fact that the guy is a drug addict. Now, what's he gonna do? How's he gonna hide it when he starts using again?

Tony: You know, my brother John -- among other things -- is clever and resourceful. He was caught once. He will not allow himself to be caught again.

Kate: Okay, thanks.

Lexie: John, hi.

John: Kate shouldn't have called you here. It's late.

Lexie: Well, I'm glad she called. You're my patient, my friend. I'm concerned about you. We both are.

John: Well, then, give me something to take the edge off! I'm kinda having a tough time here.

Lexie: Yeah, I know. Look, I think it might be best if we readmit you into the hospital. Kate told me about your fall.

John: I just had an accident. I'm fine.

Lexie: Okay, John, hey, I know this isn't easy for you, okay? I need you to be completely honest with me.

John: About what?

Lexie: About everything -- everything you're going through. Otherwise I can't help you.

John: You know all there is to know.

Lexie: Okay, fine. Well, I'll examine you, and then we can decide from there, huh?

Jan: Isn't this nice, Meems, you and I alone so we can actually talk? Have I ever told you how sorry I am that you can't have kids -- that you're gonna be barren for the rest of your life? Talk about a bummer. All could have been avoided if you hadn't had that little procedure done at the women's clinic. And I actually have the appointment slip right here in my purse.

Mimi: Yeah, the appointment slip that you stole from my purse.

Jan: An appointment slip that I made copies of just in case.

Mimi: Well, you just think of everything, don't you?

Jan: It's kind of ironic, isn't it? Getting rid of a baby you didn't want ended up costing you your chance of having one that you will. Poetic justice, if you ask me -- for you, anyway, not for Rex. For Rex, this is just terribly sad and unfair. That he loses the chance of having a family he so desperately wants because the woman he loved is a lying --

Mimi: Shut up! Shut up before I kill you. A that's easy for you to say.

Jan: The truth hurts, doesn't it, Meems? But I'm not shutting up. Here's what I will do. I'll make sure that you don't lose Rex, end up all alone -- damaged goods -- sitting on the shelf for the rest of your life. Sound fair?

Mimi: What would I have to do? I can hardly wait to hear.

Jan: It's very simple -- just help me get Shawn back.

Mimi: Jan, get a clue. Shawn is in love with Belle, and she's in love with him. And there's no way in hell he's ever going to get back with you -- not that he was ever really with you in the first place. You had him locked in a cage all last summer. And you know it's only a matter of time before he remembers everything you did to him.

Jan: But he won't remember, and you will help me get him back. It's gonna be very simple. Shawn's gotten used to having regular sex, and he damn well isn't gonna get it with prissy little Belle -- not, at least, while she's married to Philip. And, no, there is no way that she's gonna break his heart while he's off at war. You know it, and I know it. So why don't we just cut the crap and start talking strategy?

Man: We are tired of playing games with you, soldier. We can see that you're not going to cooperate.

Man #2: So now it's time to say goodbye.

Man: We couldn't help but notice that you're wearing a wedding ring. You must have a wife -- some lovely girl back home who doubtless means a great deal.

Man #2: And being that we're not completely heartless, we're going to give you the chance to say a few last words to her and anyone else you care about.

Bart: Now what's going on? What's with the videotaping?

Tony: So that my brother's darling daughter will be tortured with guilt the rest of her life -- as she deserves to be.

Bart: Oh, good, sir. You're leaving no stone unturned.

Tony: Speaking of which, when they find that slippery worm Deveraux, he is to be brought to the castle immediately.

Bart: If. If. This is the stone that you're not turning. How do you know we're gonna find him in time?

Tony: Because the alternative is unthinkable. Because if Jack -- if he goes back to Salem. And he exposes me, then all the hard work I've done has been for naught, and my enemies -- those who've wronged me -- they're gonna escape justice again. And what's worse -- John Black will win. And with his devoted Marlena by his side, he'll reassume that role of the great hero once again.

Bart: That's a fact.

Tony: Hmm, he may even find it within himself to come looking for his darling daughter's husband.

Bart: That's what I've been trying to tell you. Jack Deveraux could blow everything.

Tony: But we're not gonna let that happen, are we?

Bart: Well, what if we're too late, sir?

Jennifer: I can't even believe that you're telling me that Tony was holding you prisoner. And Cassie -- are you sure she's still alive?

Jack: As far as I know. When I left her, we were being held together -- first on this fishing trawler, and then in the castle. I can't believe you didn't get my first phone message.

Jennifer: I can't believe I didn't either, Jack. We thought you were all lost at sea -- Roman and Marlena and Victor and Caroline and Colin Murphy.

Jack: They're still alive. I believe it, and I believe they're being held prisoner. I'll bet my life -- no, I'll bet Tony’s life on it.

Jennifer: I can't even believe you're telling me this.

Jack: I've gotta get to the I.S.A. I gotta let them know what's going on as soon as possible. They've gotta get an agent over to that castle. I haven't been there in a while. He may have moved them.

Jennifer: We can't waste another minute. I know exactly who to call, Jack.

Lexie: Okay, the good news is you don't seem to have injured anything from the fall. But it did probably aggravate your muscle sprain. Oh, I'm sure the pain is intense.

Kate: John, are you sure you don't wanna go back to the hospital?

John: I'm fine. Just need to rest.

Lexie: I wish there were more I could do, John.

John: Thanks for coming by.

Lexie: Yeah, I'll check in with you again tomorrow, okay?

John: Mm-hmm.

Kate: I'll see you out.

Lexie: Thanks.

Kate: Not even the sleeping pills are working anymore. The man's not just in pain, he's completely exhausted.

Lexie: And what about you? How are you holding up? You seem to be pretty stressed out yourself.

Kate: Yeah, I am.

Lexie: But I take it you weren't too broken up over Sami and Lucas’s wedding biting the dust.

Kate: I don't wanna get into that right now. I really don’t. You know, what I'm worried about is Philip because he's being sent on a special mission, and there's a chance that -- well, it's very dangerous. And...

Lexie: And? And what, Kate? What is it?

Kate: And there's a chance that he might not make it back alive. And, Lexie, even if he does, what's waiting for him here could destroy him.

Philip: Mom, I don't have much time here. But I just want you to know how much I love you, how much I appreciate everything you've done for me. You've been an amazing mom to me. And I know that I've gotten mad at you sometimes for pushing me too hard, but I know it's just because you love me and you want me to be happy. Well, I want you to be happy. So you listen to me, mom. Do not -- do not let this destroy you. You understand me? If I die, it would be in the service of my country, and there's nothing I believe in more...

Man: Heh heh heh heh.

Philip: Except -- except... the love of my wife. Belle, the rest of this message is for you.

Belle: Shawn, I told you. We can't be together while I'm still married to Philip -- while he thinks I'm waiting here and being true to him.

Shawn-d: I know. Life is too short. Anything can happen -- you said so yourself. I think this will be better for Philip. I think he'll be hurt a lot worse if we let him go on believing that the two of you are gonna live happily ever after.

Belle: How am I supposed to tell him? What if he doesn't call?

Shawn-d: You should write him that letter.

Belle: A Dear John.

Shawn-d: Belle, there's no easy way.

Belle: No, but there is a better way. You know what? When this mission's over, he's gonna come home on leave.

Shawn-d: So you think it's better for him to be excited that he's finally coming home, cannot wait to walk through that door and hold his loving bride in his arms, and that's when you wanna lower the boom? How harsh is that?

Belle: I guess I never really thought about it that way.

Shawn-d: What happened to Mimi made me realize how precious... every moment is. And we have already wasted so much time.

Belle: He's gonna be devastated.

Shawn-d: But he's strong. He's a survivor. We'll talk to his chaplain, and he'll help Philip through this. I just want you to know, if this is not something you wanna do -- if you wanna wait, I will stop pushing.

Belle: No, no. You're right. I can't stand the thought of Philip on that plane just counting down the minutes coming home to something that doesn't exist anymore.

Shawn-d: So, you -- you will tell him. You'll write him the e-mail.

Belle: Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna do it right now.

Shawn-d: Okay. I think you're gonna feel a lot better once you do this. We both will.

Belle: I don't even know where to start.

Shawn-d: Just write exactly what you would say to him if he was standing in the room right now.

Belle: [Thinking] Philip.

Belle: I wish there was an easy way to do this -- a way to tell you the hardest thing I've ever had to tell anyone. You're such a special person. And you mean the world to me. And that, more than anything, is why I have to be completely honest -- even knowing how much this is gonna hurt you.

Shawn-d: Go on. You can do this.

Belle: [Thinking] I'm so sorry, Philip... but our marriage was a terrible mistake. And I realize now that I'm still in love with Shawn.

Mimi: Why can't you just leave me alone? I'm already being punished for what I did. I can never have any kids. Isn't that enough for you, Jan?

Jan: Nothing will be enough until Shawn and I are back together where we belong. Now are you gonna help me or not?

Mimi: Go to hell.

Jan: All right, I guess I have my answer. There is nothing left to stop me. I'm gonna tell

Rex everything as soon as he gets back.

Rex: Tell me what, Jan? More of your stupid lies? Look, I thought I told you to lay off Mimi. She's sick.

Jan: More sick than you'll ever know. And you're about to feel a whole lot worse when I tell you how she's been lying through her teeth for months.

Rex: That's a bunch of bull, and you know it. Mimi and I don't have any secrets.

Jan: Well, you're wrong, sweetie, and I have the proof.

Rex: All right, fine, Jan. Spit it out. Once and for all, what did Mimi lie about? And this better be good.

Jan: Oh, believe me, it is. It's gonna rock your world.

John: Oh, oh, Doc, if you were here, I know I could make it. I could get through this. I know I could. But without you... God help me.

Lexie: Shawn and Belle -- they told you they're still in love?

Kate: Belle wants to annul her marriage to Philip. Can you believe that?

Lexie: Wow. Well, I -- to be honest with you, Kate, I always believed that Belle and Shawn belonged together. But, my God, for her to have married Philip, and then realize it?

Kate: God, it's heartless, and it's completely unforgivable.

Lexie: Well, unfortunately, if they truly are in love, there's nothing anyone can do. You'll just have to be there for Philip when he finds out. Whoo, he is really going to need your support.

Kate: Oh, I know that. And I will be there for him. Thank you, Lexie. Thank you once again for coming by.

Lexie: Yeah, yeah. Anytime. You hang in there, okay?

Kate: Thanks.

Lexie: All right, I'll show myself out.

Kate: I don't give a damn if Belle and Shawn are in love, because they are never going to be together. Shawn's going to pay dearly for nearly killing everyone at the wedding. That little bastard's gonna go away for a long, long time.

Jennifer: Yes, Gram, thank you so much. I really appreciate you doing this. I know. I know it is completely unbelievable. I'll tell him. We love you, too. Okay, good night. All right, that's taken care of.

Jack: Are you telling me you called your grandmother -- Alice Horton -- to contact the I.S.A.?

Jennifer: Yes, and anyone else that she can reach tonight. She and Agent Spector are like this.

Jack: Are you kidding me?

Jennifer: No, I am not kidding you. They go way back, Jack. He adores her. And who better than Alice Horton to convince everyone of the truth?

Jack: Me! That's who. I need to be doing something.

Jennifer: You are -- you are doing something. You're doing something. You're reuniting with your wife tonight. And tonight I'm gonna show you exactly how much I've missed you, and exactly how much I love you.

Bart: Am I missing something here? 'Cause I don't really get this. I mean, how can you be so confident Deveraux won't blow the whistle, all right? It doesn't make sense.

Tony: I've come too far to let anyone -- least of all that bumbling buffoon Jack Deveraux -- to destroy all of my plans. Trust me, Bart. I won't allow that to happen. Now, I think it's time we listen to our dear friend's last words to his lovely bride. I'm sure it's gonna be touching.

Philip: Belle, my wife, my love, how am I supposed to even begin saying goodbye to you, sweetheart? How am I supposed to tell you how much you mean to me -- how happy you've made me? Belle, you have brought so much joy into my life... even though our time together was way too short, I thank God for the memories that we do have... 'cause they've gotten me through some pretty tough times while I've been here without you. And I'm going to take those memories with me to my grave -- memories of the most beautiful, kind, and selfless person I have ever known. I have to go now, sweetheart. You take care of yourself, okay? Just know that even if I'm not with you, I haven't left you. I will always be in your heart, Belle -- watching over you, loving you, and protecting you for the rest of your life. Goodbye, Belle.

Belle: Philip, you deserve so much better. You deserve a girl that's gonna love you the same way you love her, and that's just not me. I'm sorry. I thought it was, and I was wrong. And that's why I have to end this marriage before I hurt you any more than I already have.

Belle: There. It's done.

Shawn-d: You know it's for the best.

Belle: I know.

Shawn-d: So, go on, send it.

[Telephone rings]

Belle: I better get that.

Belle: Hello.

Bilbo: Mrs. Kiriakis?

Belle: Yes, who's this?

Bilbo: Lieutenant Bilbo -- your husband's commanding officer. Ma'am, I'm afraid I have some bad news. I'm sorry to inform you that as of 0400 hours this morning, your husband Philip has been reported missing in action.

Belle: No! No! [Sobbing]

Kate: You have lost so much. It's not fair.

John: It's time we move on.

Kate: Do you mean together?

Hope: I don't think she exists.

Billie: That's a lie. You may have taken Bo away from me when you came back, but I will not let you take away our daughter.

Belle: You didn't send him that e-mail telling him that you and I were together, did you? Tell me you didn't send it!
