Mimi: I've never even had surgery before, Rex. I mean, unless you count wisdom teeth or...
Mimi: Nothing like this. I'm just -- I'm so nervous.
Rex: I know, I know. But, look, at least it's a laparoscopy, which means you're gonna heal really quickly with very little scarring.
Mimi: I don't even care about a scar. I just want everything to be okay.
Bonnie: Is my baby gonna die?
Mimi: Thanks, mom, that makes me feel a lot better.
Rex: Mimi's gonna be fine.
Bonnie: Right, right. I'm sorry, of course she is. You just gotta stay positive, sweetie.
Mimi: I'm trying.
Rex: Hey, you know how to do that, don't you?
Mimi: Remind me.
Rex: Just remember how much I love you.
Bonnie: I love you, too, sweetie.
Woman: Mimi, honey, we're ready to begin.
Mimi: Is it going to hurt?
Woman: We'll give you an anesthetic. You won't feel a thing.
Rex: You're gonna be fine. All right? See you in a little while.
Bonnie: This is all my fault.
Philip: We all knew this mission was dangerous when we volunteered for it. Obviously, to get to where we need to go, a fire fight is unavoidable. Do you have a problem with that?
Jake: A fire fight? Phil, we have to go right through this square. It's wide open. We'd be sitting ducks!
Philip: You're right. That's why I'm going alone.
Jake: No way, man! It's too risky! I'm going with you.
Philip: Forget it! I am in charge of this mission. This is my call. I need you to stay here just in case.
Jake: In case what? In case you don't make it back? I mean, think about your wife back home! How is belle gonna feel if she loses you?
Kate: Promising yourselves that you won't be intimate while Philip is away at war? How considerate of you! You -- you are not worthy to mention my son's name, and you shouldn't be in the same room with his wife. How could you? How could you do this to your husband? I always thought you were such a wonderful girl, faithful and true. And when Philip decided he wanted to marry you, I was thrilled! I thought you would make him just the perfect wife. Well, that didn't last too long, did it, Belle? I don't understand this! I don't understand how you can even disappoint your father this way! Not that I could tell him -- not in the condition he's in.
Belle: What do you mean? He should've gotten over that flu by now, shouldn't he have? Kate, there's something you're not telling me.
Sami: Look what I have for you.
John: So you're a drug pusher.
Sami: And you're a drug user. I'd say that works out perfectly.
Hope: If this is the only way to keep Billie from going back to jail, she can stay, but just... for a day or two.
Bo: Okay. And we can get back to our romantic evening together?
Hope: Not so fast. Even if I weren't furious with you, do you really think that Billie would allow us to be alone?
[Knock on door]
Billie: Hi. It's me again.
Billie: I am sorry to interrupt, but it's -- it's getting kinda late, and if I'm gonna call a hotel
Bo: The guest room is all yours.
Billie: Is that really okay?
Billie: Good night.
Hope: Good night. I don't know how this is gonna work.
Bo: Wait, wait, wait, wait. She's gone to bed. We're not gonna hear from her again tonight. Why let it ruin our romantic evening together?
Hope: Because you know why?
Bo: No. What?
Hope: Honestly, ever since I heard it's Billie and your wedding anniversary...
Hope: It kind of put me out of the mood for romance, you know what I mean?
Bo: Hold on, slow down. You're the only woman I love, and I'm gonna prove it to you.
Billie: [Thinking] I'd never do anything to come between Bo and Hope. But if she keeps driving him away, I'll be there.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.
Billie: What would our lives have been like if we had stayed together, if we had celebrated our anniversary every year?
[Giggling] Happy Anniversary, honey.
Bo: Yeah, Happy Anniversary.
Billie: You've done that every year since we've been married.
Bo: And never once banged your head on the door jamb.
Billie: What about yours?
Bo: Every year with you just gets better and better. Have a look.
Billie: [Gasps] Oh! Oh, look!
Bo: Georgia helped me set this up. She's becoming quite the cook.
Billie: Oh! Georgia!
Bo: She's not here. She's spending the night with a friend. We've got the house to ourselves. And we are gonna make the most of it with this sparkling cider.
Bo: Oh, come on, Bo, just because I don't drink anymore doesn't mean you can't have a glass of champagne.
Bo: Hey, I'm supporting you. That's what husbands do. And we are gonna celebrate.
Bo: To Billie Brady, the love of my life. The best wife a man could ever have... the best mom a kid could ever have... don't ever forget how much I love you.
Billie: Oh, come on, tell me how you really feel.
Bo: Come here. Tying the knot with you was the best thing I ever did. In fact, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. That gives me an idea.
Bo: Billie... will you marry me again?
Billie: If only we could've stayed together... but your other wife came back. And you'll always choose to be with Hope.
Hope: What are we celebrating? It's not our anniversary.
Bo: Mm, no. I want to celebrate every night with you.
Bo: You've been a little preoccupied with Billie lately.
Hope: Uh, no, you've been preoccupied.
Bo: Well, I haven't been fair to you, and I'm gonna make it up to you.
[Romantic music plays]
how I ever got along
though the best part...
as you make me feel
Hope: I'm sorry. This isn't gonna work.
[Hacking] I can't take this. I can't take any more of these drugs. Who the hell was that guy? These pills -- how'd he get into my house? Kate! Where are you, Kate? I need you, Kate. I need you to help me. Help me, Kate. Where are you?
Belle: Come on, Kate. Tell me what's wrong with my dad. I have a right to know.
Kate: I have to call her, check on her.
John: Yeah, it's tough on Belle, I'm sure. That's why I don't want her to know what's going on with me. Not until I at least kick this.
Kate: You know your father is in terrible pain from the injuries he suffered on the island.
Belle: I thought he was getting better.
Kate: He's trying to be strong, but I'm not about to tell him that his daughter -- his golden child -- is thinking of breaking her vows to her husband whom she just married and promised to honor, cherish, love. No, because I think that would kill your father to think about you cheating on Philip with Shawn.
Belle: We're not cheating.
Shawn-d: She's telling the truth.
Kate: The only truth is, is that she's a married woman! And you should be out of her life!
Shawn-d: I'm gonna go change.
Belle: I'm in love with Shawn, and I want to be with him. I made a terrible mistake marrying Philip, and I can't keep living this lie. But I am not going to be intimate with Shawn until I tell Philip the truth, and I promise, I'm not going to do it over the phone. He's coming home. I'm going to tell him myself in person.
Kate: What do you mean he's coming home? He just left. He just shipped out. He's going to be in combat duty for months. Has something happened? Was he hurt?
Belle: No, no, no, he's fine.
Kate: Then -- then why is he coming home, Belle?
Belle: Well, he called earlier, and he said that he's going on some special mission, and when it's over, he's going to fly to Washington and brief his superiors at the Pentagon, and when that's over, he gets leave, and he's coming home to Salem.
Kate: So he's -- he's defending his country, he's putting his life on the line, and all he wants to do is come home to a loving, faithful wife. And what are you planning to do -- to break his heart when he walks through the door? Because I think that's unforgivable! And I don't see how you could live with yourself.
Philip: Look, I know this is dangerous, but it's my job.
Jake: It's mine, too.
Philip: Look, I have I.S.A. and Recon training to do this. Once I infiltrate the enemy base, I will be able to download Intel on their forces, their armaments. We'll find out where these mercenaries are coming from. And our division will just have to launch an offensive. We'll retake the city with as few casualties as possible. That's the plan.
Jake: So what do you want us to do?
Philip: Stay put and provide cover in case I get spotted coming out of this building.
Jake: Are you sure?
Philip: Hell, yes. With any luck, I'll be in and out before the bad guys even know I'm there.
Jake: You better. 'Cause if these guys catch you, they're not gonna care about the Geneva convention regarding prisoners. You're as good as dead.
Kate: Listen to me, it's not too late. If you haven't been intimate with Shawn, then you haven't broken your marriage vows, and you still can be faithful to Philip.
Belle: I will, as long as we're still married. I take my wedding vows seriously, I do. I just think that marrying Philip was a big mistake. And as soon as he comes home, I'm gonna ask him for an annulment.
Kate: You better think about this very, very carefully because if you leave Philip for Shawn, you both will pay a very, very heavy price.
Kate: You have no right to be here with her. She's a married woman.
Shawn-d: What'd you expect Belle to say? She's Philipís mom. She has to react that way.
Belle, we knew this wasn't gonna be easy. But we're gonna get through this, okay?
Belle: I just wonder if we didn't make a huge mistake.
Shawn-d: What are you saying? Did she change your mind about us having a future together?
Rex: Wait, Mimiís medical problem is your fault? How? What are you talking about? Is it a genetic thing?
Bonnie: No, it's just -- I can't help feeling... responsible. I haven't -- I haven't always been the greatest mom to Mimi. I've said and done awful things to her. And, God, the advice I've given her... and now Mimiís suffering because of me. You know, Mimi, there are ways for a girl to get herself... unpregnant.
Rex: Bonnie, what exactly did you tell Mimi to do?
Man: Okay, she's under.
Rex: Okay, come on, Mimi. Stay focused, all right. Concentrate on your breathing.
Mimi: Oh, God! Oh, God! Here comes another contraction! Aah! When is this going to be over?
Dr. Aubrey: Well, it could be a while. After all, you're delivering twins.
Mimi: Huh? Aah!
Dr. Aubrey: I don't like what I'm seeing.
Hope: Honestly, I'm sorry, I just --
Hope: I don't feel I can exactly dance the night away knowing that Billieís upstairs living here in our house, even if it is for a day or two. It's rough.
Bo: Okay, if this is too much for you, we'll make other arrangements.
Hope: Like what? If she goes back to jail, it's my fault. And I don't wanna live with that kind of guilt. So...
[Sighs] We're stuck.
Hope: You know, don't misunderstand -- I want Billie to have every opportunity to find her daughter -- your daughter. If Georgia is out there, I promise I will love her because she is yours. But Billie -- I don't like her. I don't trust her. I never will, Bo. Are we ever gonna have peace in this house again?
Bo: Yeah, Fancy Face, I'm sure we will.
Hope: Don't make promises you can't keep.
Bo: What would you like me to say?
Hope: I don't know. I do know. I want you to try to understand what I'm feeling, and acknowledge the fact that I have every right in the world to be upset about this.
Bo: Yeah, Fancy Face, you do. I'm upset, too. I mean, this is a very complicated situation. Bottom line -- you're my wife. You and the boys, you're my family, my future. Now, what do you say? Can we forget about the person upstairs and get back to our romantic evening, huh?
Bo: You got some knots going on. Let me -- let me see if I can do something about that.
Billie: If we had stayed together, we'd be celebrating our anniversary tonight.
Bo: I, Bo Brady, commit myself to you with all my body and soul. I promise to always be there for you as the father of our child and as your loving, devoted husband. You have my eternal love.
Bo: Hey. Hey, what is it?
Billie: Don't you recognize tears of pure joy when you see them? I am so happy. When I met you, you saved my life. You rescued me from an addiction that could have killed me. I am so grateful that we've been together all these years. You're the only man I'll ever love, the only man I wanna spend my life with... now and forever.
[Front door closes]
John: There you are.
Kate: Hey. Are you all right?
John: About as all right as I'm gonna get.
Kate: You were sleeping so soundly when I left. What woke you up?
John: I'm not sure. I don't know.
Kate: Are you sure you're okay?
John: I'd just rather be anywhere else than where I am right now.
Kate: I know. I know. Let me straighten these. What's this?
John: I-I was -- I was doing a little praying to give me the strength to resist these drugs.
Kate: I think that's good. That's good. I'm sorry that I wasn't here, but at least you had the very best support.
John: Yeah, everything's fine. I'm really thirsty. Could you get me a glass of water, please?
Kate: I know you're gonna beat this because you've already made it through the worst part.
John: Yeah, I know, I just gotta get through the rest of it for Brady, Belle... something's wrong, Kate. What is it? Where'd you go tonight, anyway?
Shawn-d: You can't let Kate guilt you into staying married to Philip.
Belle: I know. I was just really letting her get to me. But what about my dad? He's gonna be so disappointed in me when he hears this. Everything I've ever done in my whole life has made him proud. I think about what he's going through, and --
Shawn-d: You can't make choices for him, Belle. You have to make them for you.
Besides, do you think he's really gonna want you to be miserable for the rest of your life?
Belle: No. But I don't think he's gonna understand why I married Philip in the first place.
Shawn-d: Let's be realistic. Most people aren't going to understand. But we're doing this for our future -- for the two of us.
Belle: And Philip.
Shawn-d: Right, and Philip. You know, we can't go on lying to him. We have to tell him the truth, no matter how much it's gonna hurt him.
Philip: All right, listen up! You guys cover me from here. In fact, I think we can turn 'em around.
Jake: Turn 'em around? How?
Philip: Just lay down some cover fire, and make it seem like we're coming from the opposite direction. I'll come in the side when they're distracted.
Man: It might work. There are enough buildings around here. They won't know where the sound's coming from.
Philip: Just don't hit the building that I'm in. The last thing we wanna do is destroy the information that we need.
Man: Or you.
Philip: Yeah, that too.
Man: Good luck, Kiriakis. You're gonna need it. Okay, Marines, I hope he knows what he's doing. Marines, give him some cover!
Bo: How 'bout I take you upstairs to bed, hmm? Hold you, make you feel safe and loved?
Bo: Let me show you how much I love you... and only you.
Bo: All these years, we've been together every night. And every time we make love, it's like the first time. And every time we make love, I love you even more.
Billie: Happy Anniversary, darling.
Bo: I love you, Fancy Face.
Hope: I'm sorry, I can't do this -- not with your ex-wife in the next room, Bo.
Dr. Aubrey: I see quite a bit of scarring and inflamed tissue. It's exactly what I was afraid of.
Mimi: [Grunting] Aah!
Dr. Aubrey: Okay, Mimi, boy or a girl, they'll have an older brother. You're almost there.
Rex: Let it go, Mimi. Come on, one more big push, and we got our family! Come on!
Bonnie: Oh, Mimi, he's beautiful! Oh, it almost makes up for the baby you got rid of.
Rex: Why are you so upset? What did you tell Mimi to do?
Bonnie: She always wanted a big family -- lots of kids. And I told her to -- I told her to wait. What if that was a mistake?
Rex: Okay, let's not go there. Let's wait to see what the doctor has to say. Okay, look, when I researched pelvic inflammatory disease, they said its most common cause...
Rex: Is sexually transmitted disease, which makes no sense because I haven't been with anybody else, and neither has Mimi. I mean, seriously, Bonnie, this makes no sense. How could she have this infection? Mimi wouldn't lie to me.
Bonnie: Of course, she didn't lie. It was probably that damn procedure.
Rex: What procedure?
Rex: What kind of procedure did Mimi have?
Bonnie: Did I say "procedure"? No, Rex, what I meant was, remember when she was having all those female troubles before? She came to the hospital for a bunch of tests. Who knows? She could have picked up an infection and not even known it.
Rex: Yeah, I guess that's possible.
Bonnie: I just pray that my baby's gonna be okay. Look, I know how much she loves you, how she's been dreaming about having a future family with you.
Rex: Yeah. I can't wait to marry Mimi.
Bonnie: I heard you proposed. I can't believe my baby got engaged in a hospital. Now she's in surgery. I still hope that all of her dreams can still come true.
Rex: Come here.
Bonnie: Meems, you did it! Grandma's got one of each -- a boy and a girl! Damn, am I proud. And don't worry about Rex. He's not upset that you never told him you were pregnant the first time. In fact, he's not even thinking about that other baby. Oh, I'd say he's got his hands full.
Rex: How you doing, mom? Your son and daughter wanna say hi.
Bonnie: There you go.
Rex: I am so proud of you, sweetheart. You did great. Mimi, you have made me the happiest man in the world. I love you. And I love our new family. I promise you, are lives are gonna be perfect from now on.
Dr. Aubrey: I'm not looking forward to giving Mimi the bad news.
Belle: Do you know if the surgery went okay? Oh, of course, I understand. Okay, so, when she regains consciousness, will you please just tell her that Belle Bla-- Kiriakis called? Thanks, and tell her I love her. Okay. Mimi's still in O.R.
Shawn-d: Yeah, I heard.
Belle: I hope she's gonna be all right.
Shawn-d: Wish I could stay here with you.
Belle: I love having you here. It's just making me feel so guilty.
Shawn-d: Look, if Philip really cares about you -- and I believe that he does -- he is not gonna want you to stay in a loveless marriage. It's not good for him. Hell, it is definitely not good for you. And I know you feel guilty -- I do, too -- but what's the alternative? I don't care what Kate says. We have to move on with our lives. And that includes Philip. Otherwise, we're all just gonna end up miserable.
John: Come on, Kate. Something's wrong. Where were you?
Kate: I went to, um, to check on Belle and to see if she had any news about Philip.
John: Mm-hmm. Is everything all right?
Kate: Yeah, he's, um, I guess he's gonna be sent on a special mission. And I'm just -- I'm worried it could be dangerous. But assuming that he gets through it, then he'll be sent to the Pentagon for a briefing. And then he'll get a furlough, and he'll get to see his wife and his family, so... what? Please, don't try to protect me. Just -- I wanna know the truth.
John: Kate, if Philip is being given a special leave of absence so soon after going into combat and Washington, D.C., wants to debrief him during a personal appearance, the fact is, he is on a very dangerous mission.
Philip: Kiriakis, you are one lucky bastard.
Philip: Jake! Jake, come in! Are you there?
Jake: Roger, go ahead. What's your status?
Philip: I'm taking enemy fire. I'm pinned down, damn it!
Jake: Abort the mission. As soon as you see a chance, get your ass back here!
Philip: Negative. I've gotta get to the headquarters. We'll proceed. You just cover my ass. I'm about to make a move. Out! I'm coming, Belle. I'm coming, honey.
Bonnie: Mimi, baby. Baby.
Mimi: Where are the twins? Where are my babies? Is every -- is everything okay?
Dr. Aubrey: I'm afraid I have some bad news.
Bo: Come on, Fancy Face. It's supposed to be a special evening for us. Can you ignore that?
Hope: I wish I could. I'm sorry. I just -- I can't ignore the fact that your ex-wife is in the next bedroom. She's in the same house as us, Bo... on what would have been your wedding anniversary.
Bo: Come on, I don't wanna fight.
Hope: Look, you know what? I don't wanna fight with you, either. But the fact remains that your ex-wife is here in the house with us in the next bedroom, Bo.
Bo: I'm not gonna be able to sleep. I'm gonna go downstairs.
Belle: Maybe... maybe it can work out, and we can all live happily ever after. But for now, while Philip is away at war, putting his life in danger, there is just no way we can be together.
Shawn-d: Belle --
Belle: No, we have to keep our promise, okay? We can't be together romantically in public or in private until we have a chance to tell Philip the truth.
Shawn-d: We'll put our relationship on hold... for Philipís sake. I promise.
Belle: Thank you.
Belle: What if he was taken hostage or something?
Shawn-d: He will find a way out of it.
Philip: An American Marine is smart enough to gut you like a pig.
Patrick: I realize I'm not Jack, but I'm a guy, and I'm here, and I'll be with Jack, Jr.
Rex: What happened? What's wrong?
Mimi: Oh, God, I'm so sorry.
