Caroline: I always wanted to make a tour of the medieval castles of Europe. Well, this isn't quite what I had in mind.
Victor: If that bastard DiMera would show himself again, maybe we can get some answers. In the meantime, if I have to be trapped somewhere, I'm glad it's with you.
Caroline: I don't know what I would do if you weren't here.
[Door opens in hallway]
Victor: Someone's coming.
Victor: Well, speak of the devil.
Tony: Well, good morning, my dear friends. I come bearing gifts in the spirit of the season. A little something to remind us of our loved ones back home.
Brady: I gotta get Nicole off my mind.
Nicole: I know you wanted to be alone, Brady, but I can't leave you alone. I love you too much.
Brady: Nicole, Nicole -- I'm sorry, we can't do this. I did the right thing. I can't be making love to Nicole.
Nicole: Says who?
Nicole: Brady, I don't understand what the problem is. We already have. There's no going back.
Brady: I know. I just feel that we -- we rushed things a little bit. We weren't ready, you know? But I have an idea. Why don't we start over? From the beginning. And I'll treat you the way you're supposed to be treated. In fact, if you're not doing anything tonight, I made reservations at the Penthouse Grill.
Nicole: Why, Brady Black, are you asking me out on a date?
Brady: That's right -- date. Anything wrong with that?
Nicole: No, no, I-I would love to go out on a date with you. And as luck would have it, I'm free.
Brady: Well, great, I will pull the car around.
Nicole: I'll be waiting.
Nicole: Yes! Oh, he asked me out on a date! That means he likes me. He really likes me. And that means he's finally over Chloe.
Chloe: Brady, I'm sorry. I can't let you know I'm alive. I can't let you see what I've become.
Bo: Fancy Face, um, I pr-- I promised you a romantic evening at the Penthouse Grill.
Hope: You don't want to go, do you?
Bo: Would you mind?
Hope: Are you kidding me? I don't care where we are as long as we're together. Tell you what. I'll go change, and then we'll order some -- some dinner in, okay, and watch a movie.
Bo: Oh, oh. Actually... I have a better idea.
Celeste: See for yourself, Brandon, my vision -- you and Samantha standing in front of the Justice of the Peace.
Brandon: That is not gonna happen. I don't know how you did that, Celeste -- how you put that crazy premonition of yours into my head -- but it's wrong. There's no way I'm gonna marry Samantha tonight.
Celeste: Where are you going?
Brandon: I'm outta here. And if I have to get in my car and drive straight through till dawn, I will.
Celeste: You can run, but you can't hide, Brandon. Fate has a way of finding you wherever you go.
Sami: Abe? Abe? Oh, my God, Abe!
Sami: Abe, Abe. Help! Somebody help me! Help me! Abe, oh, my God!
Lexie: What happened? What happened? What'd you do to him, Sami?
Mimi: Oh, hi, going somewhere, Jan?
Jan: Yes, as a matter of fact, I am, so if you'll excuse me --
Mimi: I don't think so. Not till you tell me exactly what it is you've done to Shawn.
Jan: I don't know what you're talking about.
Mimi: Like hell you donít. There's no way that he would dump Belle to be with a crazy bitch like you on his own.
Jan: I said it before -- do not call me crazy!
Mimi: Why not? It's what you are. You're sick, Jan. You have been ever since I've known you. You're sick and twisted, and there's no way Shawn could ever really love you.
Jan: You bitch! I'm gonna make you so sorry that you ever said that!
Belle: Shawn, I was afraid you weren't gonna come. What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that? Shawn, what's wrong? Talk to me.
Shawn-D: I'm sorry. But I've made a huge mistake.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.
Tony: Are you sure you don't want to know what it is?
Tony: Well, truth be told, more for Victor -- reminders of home, as I said.
Victor: What the hell are you talking about?
Tony: Why, your lovely wife and your grandson, of course.
Brady: I'm really worried about Abe.
Nicole: So am I.
Lucas: Abe, are you sure you're okay?
Abe: Yeah, I'm fine. I just, you know, got a little disoriented. I lost my balance. It happens when my vision gets blurry, that's all. Where's Lexie?
Sami: Look, I don't know why Abe fell, but it certainly wasn't my fault.
Lexie: Sami, I am warning you, if you do anything to ruin Abeís last moments of happiness, I promise you, I will do whatever it takes to make your life miserable.
Sami: God. Why is everything always my fault? I hate that witch. Oh, you want to make my life miserable, huh, Lexie? Well, two can play at that game.
Lexie: Lucas, thank you for your help.
Lucas: No problem. I'm just glad Abeís all right.
Lexie: Honey, are you okay? What did Sami do to you?
Abe: Nothing, nothing. We were just talking about John. I lost my balance.
That's it. Don't -- don't worry about it.
Lexie: All right, if you say so.
Tek: Well, well, well, look who it is.
Abe: Hey, hey, hey! Tek! Hey, man, good to see you!
Tek: Good to see you, man. It's great to see you out.
Abe: Oh, it's good to be out, believe me.
Tek: Lexie, Abe, Lucas, I'd like you to meet my lovely date Jackie.
Jackie: Nice to meet you.
Abe: Nice to meet you, Jackie.
Lexie: Tek didn't tell us that he was dating someone.
Tek: Actually, this is our first date.
Jackie: Will you excuse me for a moment? I just need to go powder my nose.
Tek: All right.
Abe: Now you see what you did? You scared her off.
Lexie: Oh, honey, I was just being curious.
Sami: So am I. Tek, weren't you dating someone before you and Brady took off for the island?
Abe: Well, Tek, you holding out on me? Do I know her?
Brady: I know, it's chilly out tonight, but I just wanted to show you something.
Nicole: Oh, yeah, what's that?
Brady: A star I named for Chloe after she died. Let's see if we can see it tonight. Yep, look, up there -- it's that little twinkling one right next to the North Star.
Nicole: Oh. Well, isn't that something?
Brady: You know, I sometimes wonder if she's up there, looking down on us.
Nicole: Well, if she is, I doubt she'd want to see this.
Chloe: Donít. Turn them off.
Nancy: Chloe, I just got off the phone with Craig, and guess what. He's coming back for Christmas, and he's bringing your sister. He'd like to call Brady, and --
Chloe: No, I told you. I don't want anyone to see me. Not Craig, not joy, and especially not Brady.
Nancy: But, Chloe, they love you. They don't care what you look like. You were in an accident. And I'm sure that Brady would just be thrilled to know that you're alive.
Chloe: I'm not alive. The person that Brady loved is dead, and in her place is a monster.
Nancy: Chloe, that is not true.
Chloe: It is true. All the surgeries, the promises -- it's supposed to be getting better, but it only keeps getting worse. There's nothing they can do for me, Nancy. I should've just died in that accident.
Hope: This is to finding your daughter and bringing her home safely.
Bo: Thank you.
Hope: You don't have to thank me.
Bo: I'm sorry, I -- I should've been there to help you deal with Shawn.
Hope: You were worried about Georgia. I don't blame you. I am, too.
Bo: Yeah, I am worried about her, but... it's more than that.
Hope: What do you mean?
Bo: Well, this -- it's eating me up inside. It's my fault that this happened in the first place.
Hope: How can you say that?
Bo: I should've known something was wrong, Hope. I should've been there for my little girl and for Billie.
Jan: Get off of me! Get off of me!
Jan: You wanna fight? Come on, I have mace, you low-rent loser!
Mimi: Face it, it's over, Jan! You're over. Your days of screwing with my best friends are over.
Belle: No, I'm the one who made the mistake. I should've insisted we talk a long time ago. Look, I know how much Philip loves me. And the last thing I want to do is hurt him, but I can't marry him until I know... until you can look me in the eye and tell me that it's definitely over, that we have no future together. Can you tell me that? Honestly.
Brandon: I don't care what Celeste says. There's no way I could be with Samantha again -- not tonight, not ever.
Abe: Hey. Well, what's the big secret, huh? Who's this girl you're seeing? Hey, Lex, do you know who it was?
Tek: Look, hey, you're embarrassing me.
Jackie: So, what'd I miss?
Abe: Oh, just nothing, nothing. Just some old friends catching up, that's it. So, uh, look, I'll check you a little bit later?
Sami: Oh, wait a second. I'm sure Jackie doesn't mind if the two of you catch up. Tek was just about to tell us --
Lucas: Actually, I-I think we're intruding, Sami. Why don't we let Tek and his date and the Carvers get back to their lovely evening?
Abe: Oh, you're not intruding, it's fine.
Lucas: No, I think we are. Honey, let's go. Right now.
Sami: All right. You're right. Abe, it was really nice to see you. Glad you're doing okay.
Lexie: You're a dead woman.
Abe: So good to see you.
Lucas: Come on, dear.
Sami: I'm coming.
Lucas: Come on.
Sami: What is that for? Let me go.
Lucas: I was just about to ask you the same question. What are you doing? You really think Abe wants to hear about his wife and one of his best friends having a little thing when they thought he was dead? How can you do that? How can you do that to Abe? He's your godfather, Sami. You have any idea how much you're hurting him right now? The poor man's been through enough.
Sami: You're right. You're right. It's just that Lexie makes me so angry, I don't think.
Lucas: I know, I know.
Sami: Next time I will try to turn the other cheek and be a good little girl.
Lucas: There you go. You see? You be a good little girl, and I'll give you your surprise later.
Sami: Ha ha ha. What? What's my surprise?
Lucas: Oh, I can't tell you that. It's a mystery. Pay this bill here, and then we're out.
Celeste: [Thinking] I'm afraid this is going to end badly.
Sami: Thank you.
Man: You're welcome.
[Cellular phone rings]
Lucas: Oh, honey, why don't you give me a couple minutes, okay?
Lucas: Is everything set?
Brady: You know, every time I look at that star, I'll always think of Chloe.
Nicole: You're always telling me how she'd want you to be happy.
Brady: Well, I am happy. You make me happy.
Nicole: Do I?
Brady: More than you even know.
Sami: Oh, I knew it! Your grandfather is barely cold, and already you're doing his whore of a wife? And poor Chloe, she must be spinning in her grave.
Nancy: Sweetheart, I was on the way back from the cafeteria, and I ran into one of your surgeons, and guess what? He would like to try some reconstructive surgery for you.
Chloe: Oh, really? He thinks he can reconstruct this?
Mimi: It's empty! Lucky for you. You probably get your kicks by terrorizing small children --
Jan: The only one I'm gonna terrorize is you.
Mimi: Oh, you are certifiable. Oh, my God. Oh, my God! You -- that's Belle and Philip. You've been spying on them -- videotaping them.
Jan: Boy, has their porn show been a hit. It's made Shawn hate Belle even more than he already did.
Shawn-D: You're asking me if we have a future together?
Belle: I need to know because --
Shawn-D: Because if not, you're gonna take sloppy seconds with my former best friend?
Belle: It's not like that, and you know it. Look, I do care for Philip. In fact, I love him. But -- but -- it's --
Shawn-D: Go ahead. It's what? Not the way you loved me?
Shawn-D: You know what? You talk about how much I hurt and humiliated you. Have you ever stopped and thought about it once how much you hurt and humiliated me? You hooked up with my best friend the second my back was turned. I mean, you lost your virginity to him after telling me for how long that you wanted to wait and save yourself for marriage. I mean, what a load of crap that was, right?
Belle: You don't understand. I was hurt. You were with Jan.
Shawn-D: I blamed you for my great-grandmother's death because of your lie -- now right or wrong, you should have given me some time to come to terms with that. But instead, you add insult to injury by hooking up with the first guy who comes your way. That's how much you cared about me.
Shawn-D: And it's that image that I am not gonna be able to get out of my head. Belle, you and him... together. No matter how hard I try, I don't think I'll ever be able to.
Belle: So I was right. You really don't love me anymore.
Shawn-D: No. I really donít.
Tony: A thank you would be nice. After all, I sent all the way to Bodega Bay for these two little beauties. But, you know, I've decided I'm going to call them Nicole and Brady, after those two other lovebirds back in Salem.
Victor: You're really enjoying this, aren't you? Sticking it to me? Well, I hate to disappoint you, Tony, but I'm well aware Nicole has her claws into my grandson. But he won't be fooled for long.
Tony: You either overestimate your dim-witted grandson or you underestimate your wife. Despite what you think, Victor, she's more than just a pretty face. She has a heart and soul.
Victor: She has neither of those.
Tony: After I was attacked by Horton the tiger, she came to my bedside. She was afraid that you were gonna frame her for the serial killing, and then turn Brady against her. She pleaded her case. She begged me to help. You know, I was deeply moved, even on my presumed deathbed. And the fact that I knew that everybody else was still alive, I couldn't tell her, of course. All I could give her was that "I feel your pain, and I'd like to help, but I'm dying here" look. And then I did die.
Caroline: But would you have helped her?
Tony: I did. I killed Victor, even though Nicole believed she had accomplished the deed along with her other accomplice, Jan Spears -- which, ironically, she's involved with your other grandson Shawn.
Victor: You bastard.
Tony: Oh, forgive me, Victor, for having felt your wife's position. After all, she is -- how do you say it -- a woman after my own heart. She knows exactly what she wants, and will not stop until she gets it. And we all know exactly what it is she wants -- Brady.
Lucas: Whoa, whoa, whoa. What's going on?
Brady: I'll tell you what's going on. Your fiancťe decided to come out here and verbally attack us for no reason.
Lucas: All right, Sami, what is wrong with you tonight, huh? I'm really sorry --
Sami: Hey, don't apologize for me.
Lucas: All right, fine, then you do it.
Sami: No, I wonít.
Brady: Lucas, Lucas, I don't expect much from my stepsister. But what I won't tolerate is how you treat Belle.
Sami: What are you talking about?
Brady: Sami, I heard you pitched a fit over the fact that the two of you were gonna share the same wedding day.
Sami: Oh, first of all -- no bride would wanna share her wedding day, anyway.
Brady: Philip is being shipped off to war, Sami. I don't understand how you can be so selfish over this whole thing. Show a little class for once.
Sami: I'm sorry. Do you really wanna talk about class? This from a man who is screwing his grandfather's widow?
Lucas: All right, that's enough. Come on, let's go. Come on. You're -- you're done.
Brady: Lucas, you know what? Don't even bother. We'll go. Come on.
Sami: He makes me sick.
Lucas: Would you stop it? Well, you're in rare form, aren't you? What's with you? You know what? Forget it. I don't even care what it is. I don't wanna hear it. I'm calling the Justice of the Peace and canceling this whole damned thing.
Sami: Wait a second. Wait a second. Did you say Justice of the Peace?
Lucas: Yes, that's what I said.
Sami: That was gonna be your surprise, that we were gonna elope tonight?
Lucas: That is what you wanted.
Sami: Yeah. Yeah, Lucas, it is. Lucas, I just wanna get married. I just wanna marry you.
You're the hurt
that stays till the end
I'll never hold you...
Nicole: What's wrong?
I'll never hold you...
Brady: This is the last song Chloe sang before she died.
Nancy: It's more beautiful than I imagined. You know, they just released it in the states. I should send Brady a copy.
Nancy: Sweetheart, um, I'm sorry about -- about dropping the tray earlier. It's -- it's just that you startled me.
Chloe: You mean my face did.
Nancy: No, no, it's -- it's getting better. The -- the swelling, the bruising, it will all go away.
Chloe: What about these lovely scars and the infected incision that won't heal? Mom, I've accepted that my life is over.
Nancy: No, it is not. Only if you give up. And since when is Chloe Lane a quitter? You have faced and fought worse battles than this, and you've won. Chloe, you'll do it again.
Brady: Please, stop pushing me away. Tell me that you'll -- you'll let me help you through this. Tell me that you can -- you can turn to me and count on me. Because you can. Chloe, I love you.
Brady: Chloe, if you won't do it for yourself, do it for me. Do it for us.
Hope: Come here. I want you to listen to me. Now, look into my eyes and listen to me. The DiMeras are gone now, and you are on your way to finding your daughter. And when you do, she's gonna be a part of your life and Billieís life forever.
Bo: She'll be a part of yours, too, fancy face.
Hope: I know.
Bo: Ours together 'cause we're a team. Don't forget that. We always will be.
Hope: I never will, if you donít.
Mimi: I don't believe it. I finally have proof of what you've been up to. You have been spying on Philip and Belle, taping them, and probably using this stuff to brainwash Shawn with, or something.
Jan: Yeah, looks like you've got it all figured out. Except you're wrong. See, Shawn, he actually took that video footage himself. He's been the one spying, and I have the backup copy.
Mimi: Uh-huh, yeah. I'm gonna believe that.
Jan: Well, you better, because it's the truth. And because if you don't, I'm gonna tell sexy Rexy how you sent Rex Jr. to permanent summer camp. Now, get out.
Mimi: I'm not going anywhere.
Shawn-D: You're just not the same girl I fell in love with in high school.
Belle: I'm not the same?
Shawn-D: If you think I can just forget what happened, and pick up where we left off --
Belle: Yeah, yeah, I get it. It's never gonna happen. I got my answer.
Shawn-D: I'm sorry it's not the one you wanted.
Sami: Will is gonna be blown away when he finds out.
Lucas: He's also gonna be pretty mad. He wanted to be there when we got married.
Sami: Yeah, but he'll understand. He'll be so glad that we actually got married that he'll forget to be angry.
Lucas: He did think we were too scared to go through with it.
Sami: This is what you planned all along, isn't it? That's why you wanted me to get all dressed up and go out with you?
Lucas: Well, I wanted it to be a night you'd never forget.
Brandon: Damn, this fog is --
Lucas: Getting heavy.
Brandon: I better get off the highway.
Lucas: It's like pea soup. I can't see a --
Brady: Nicole, I am so sorry. Tonight didn't exactly turn out the way I planned.
Nicole: Brady, if we're gonna give this a chance, then --
Brady: Then what?
Nicole: We have to do something. And I know you're gonna think I'm totally
Nicole: Come on. Come on.
Brady: Where are we going?
Nicole: Come on, come on, come on.
Brady: What are you doing?
Nicole: I want you to help me exorcise Victor and Chloeís ghosts.
Brady: What? Okay.
Nicole: Brady, they're everywhere. Every place we go and everything we do.
Brady: Okay, if that's the case, then I don't want them out of my life, Nicole.
Nicole: No, no, no. I'm just saying let's let them rest in peace, and maybe they'll help us live again... maybe even love again.
Nicole: And though, dear Victor and Chloe, you were loved, and you will be missed by some, if not all of us, it's time for the living to go on with their lives, and the dead to pass on into the next world. So goodbye and God bless.
Brady: Rest in peace, Chloe. And you too, Granddad.
Victor: I may be your prisoner now, DiMera, but I won't be forever. I'll find a way out of here, and when I do, I'll take care of Nicole. She won't get away with ruining my grandson's life.
Tony: Hmm. You may be already too late, Victor.
Victor: Brady, no!
Tony: Hmm. Well, enjoy the lovebird, Victor. I'm sure your counterparts back in Salem are enjoying each other as we speak.
Nancy: Chloe, what are you doing?
Chloe: I want to go home, Nancy -- home to Brady.
Nancy: Oh, sweetheart, that's wonderful. I will go call him right now.
Chloe: No, not yet, not until they put me back together again -- the way I used to be.
Mimi: Oh, honey, you can't kick me out of here. I live here with Rex, remember?
Jan: Not for long, you donít.
Mimi: Shawn. What happened? Did you talk to Belle?
Shawn-D: Belle and I are history, Mimi. We're finished, okay?
Shawn-D: Now it's time for me to focus on other things.
Mimi: Ugh. I took Janís keys.
Mimi: Which actually just might come in handy.
[Cellular phone rings]
Belle: [Clears throat] Hello? Yeah. Philip, I got my answer. I'm free to marry you.
Bo: I better get that.
Hope: Yeah, you better get it.
Bo: Brady. Billie, slow down. What -- hold on. What are you saying? I'm on my way. Billie thinks she's found Georgia. I got to go. I'm sorry.
Hope: No, no, that's okay. I understand.
Bo: Fancy Face, I'll make this up to you. I promise.
Hope: Don't worry about it.
Bo: I'll be back as soon as I can.
Celeste: You are foolish to run, Brandon. In spite of your efforts, you and Samantha are about to be reunited.
Sami: Aah! Brandon! Oh, my God! Brandon!
Celeste: Oh, God, no!
Lucas: Are you okay?
Lucas: Are you sure?
Sami: Yeah, I'm fine. What about the other driver?
Lucas: I don't know. I'll call 911.
Sami: Okay. Excuse me, sir? Are you all right? Oh, my God. Brandon! Oh, my God! Oh, my God, Brandon! Brandon, are you okay? Oh, my God, I can't lose you, Brandon! Brandon!
Bo: I want to find our daughter just as badly as you do, and if I can't talk you out of going tonight, I'm going with you.
Jennifer: I hate to even say this, because Billie is a friend, but you know when it comes to Bo --
Hope: I know. You don't have to say it. I know she can't be trusted.
Brady: Chloe, please. You know I will always love you. And you're always beautiful to me, no matter what.
