Abby: Mom, mom... hey, Mom, Dad's not upstairs.

Jennifer: Uh, yeah. I know, honey. This is what I tried to tell you earlier.

Abby: Where is he? He's hiding, isn't he? Dad, come on, it's not fair. I want to see you now.

Jennifer: Abby, listen to me. Listen to me. Your dad is not here, and he may not be coming home.

Bo: Okay, just call me if you hear anything.

Bo: No word on the survivors yet. Doesn't look good.

Hope: I can't even imagine what Jennifer must be going through, having to tell Abby that she lost her father again.

Bo: Yeah. Marlena's family's gonna have to go through the same thing. Ah, man. Thank God I didn't lose you.

Hope: I still can't believe those two are engaged. Something's not right here. I'm telling you that. Shawn belongs with Belle.

Jan: I know that you don't approve of me, Mrs. Brady, but I love Shawn, and Shawn loves me. And nothing's gonna keep us apart.

Shawn-D: Yeah, you know, I really wish the two of you would give Jan a chance, okay? I'm really glad that the both of you are home, but a lot of things have changed since you've been gone. Belle and I are broken up, and Jan and I are together. So get used to it.

Belle: Okay. There. Better?

John: Yeah, sweetheart, that's much better.

Belle: I just wish I could do something to really help. But I know how strong you are. The doctors will have you walking in no time, dad. You'll be up and moving around before mom gets home. And she will.

John: That's right. That's the spirit. That's what you always got to keep believing.

Belle: Just like we had to keep believing that she was innocent, even when it seemed impossible. But now we know -- and she knew, too -- that she was not a killer. And -- and even if mom doesn't make it back to us, at least we know that she was not the Salem Stalker.

John: Your mother is coming home, Belle. Brady's still in the Caribbean helping with the search. She's gonna be all right. I know she is.

Kate: Perfect. Sami is going to self-destruct, and I won't have to lift a finger.

Sami: You were supposed to be long gone. Oh, God, please don't tell me that you spent the night in Salem last night.

Brandon: Yes, I did. Do you have a problem with that?

Sami: Well, you were supposed to be gone. Why didn't you leave?

Brandon: Plans changed. No big deal.

Sami: No big deal? No big deal? Brandon, if you didn't leave Salem last night, that means my life is over.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Kate: Sami deserves what she gets. There is no way she's going to marry my son.

Roman: You know what you can get for me? You know what you can get me? You know what would be the greatest wedding present I could ever have?

Kate: You just name it.

Roman: All right. Earlier tonight, when you tried to make peace with Sami, I can't tell you how much that meant to me.

Kate: Oh. You want me to keep trying.

Roman: I know it's asking a lot, believe me, but, Kate, something tells me that you can get through to her. So will you please, please give it another shot, okay? Don't give up on her just yet -- for me.

Kate: If it will make you happy, of course I'll do it. Oh.

Roman: Everything is going to work out. It's all going to work out.

Kate: I'm sorry I had to break my promise to you, Roman, but I couldn't let Sami ruin Lucas' life. And if Sami marries Lucas, she would make his life miserable.

Lucas: I heard what happened. I can't believe it. When's it gonna stop?

Sami: No, you can't be here. You cannot be in Salem.

Brandon: And yet here I am. Ahem. Look, I know why you're flipping out, Samantha. According to Lexie, Celeste made some kind of prediction that if I stayed in Salem last night, your future would be ruined. I mean, you don't really believe that, do you?

Sami: No. Look, Celeste hasn't been wrong about anything, okay?

Brandon: Ooh-hoo, then maybe I should have left.

Sami: Lexie told me that you did. Why didn't you?

Brandon: You know what? Actually, I did leave town last night. I was heading out of town, and my car broke down. I'm glad I did stay. It was Lexie’s birthday yesterday, and, man, did she ever get a surprise --

Sami: No, I don't care, okay? I don't care about Lexie or her stupid surprises, okay? You just have to leave Salem, okay? Please, just go. Go! Leave! Just -- oh, God. Okay, maybe I just don't see you. No, you're not here. I can't see you. You're not in Salem, and -- and that's it. You're not a part of my life. You are not gonna ruin my future with Lucas.

Brandon: Still here.

Sami: Damn it, this is a really bad omen.

Brandon: Will you calm down? I'm guessing you haven't heard the news yet. I have something important to tell you.

John: The whole time your mother was missing, all she could -- all she could think about was getting home to her family.

Belle: I just can't believe what mom went through. You know, first thinking that she was the serial killer, which wasn't true. And then being held hostage on that island with all the people she supposedly killed.

John: That was just a plot by Tony DiMera. All because of me.

Belle: What?

John: He was out to destroy me and anybody who was close to me. He was the one who set that volcano to erupt to wipe out his enemies. All I could do was try to fight him to the end.

Belle: Well, what happened to him, dad? Where is he?

John: He's gone. You don't have to worry about Tony DiMera anymore.

Belle: Okay, but are you sure?

John: I killed the man. I didn't have any choice, sweetheart. That's how all this happened.

Belle: Well, if you were hurt, then how did you get away?

John: That was your mother. She and Roman drug me out of the compound, got me out to this raft before the volcano destroyed the island. That's when we got hit by that tidal wave.

Belle: Yeah, I heard about that volcano and everything on the news, but I just had no idea that you and mom and everybody were in the middle of it.

John: Oh, yeah, we were in the middle of it, all right.

Belle: Then how did you get separated?

John: Your mom was so brave. She knew that I couldn't swim because of these injuries, so she -- she strapped me down to the raft.

John: What are you doing?

Marlena: I'm strapping you in. There's no way this raft can support both of us.

John: What are you talking about, Doc? Come on.

Marlena: John, you can't swim.

John: Yes, I can. Just let me go. I can.

Marlena: Darling, no, you can’t. You can't move your legs.

John: Forget about my legs. Just worry about saving yourself, Doc.

Marlena: John, I love you. I love you.

John: I can't let you do this. Just stay in my arms.

Marlena: No, no. John, please remember... just remember that I love you. I love you.

John: Doc!

John: Doc. Doc! [Sobbing ] Doc!

John: Your mother risked her own life to save mine, and it should have been the other way around. I'd give anything, honey -- I'd give anything just to have her with us right now.

Shawn-D: Belle lied to me.

Hope: About Marlena’s alibi? It doesn't matter anymore, does it? Marlena wasn't the killer, Shawn.

Shawn-D: Mom, she still lied to me, okay? Now she's sleeping with... someone who's supposed to be my best friend. I want nothing to do with her.

Hope: What?

Jan: I was there for Shawn when Belle broke his heart, and I'm the one who took good care of him after his motorcycle accident.

Hope: Did you? I'm not so sure about that.

Hope: Honey, are you sure that you're really okay?

Shawn-D: Mom, I'm fine. Aside from a few problems with my memory, the doctor says it's nothing serious.

Hope: Once again, I'm not so sure about that. Honey, could that be the reason why you changed your mind about Belle? I mean, why else --

Shawn-D: It's my life, mom. Please back off!

Abby: Dad's missing? What happened? Why didn't you stay with him?

Jennifer: Please, sweetie, listen to me. When that wave came crashing on our boat, it -- it threw us. We were scattered all over the ocean at that point. We were all separated.

Patrick: Abby, it was a miracle that your mother was able to hang on to your baby brother.

Jennifer: If Patrick wasn't there to save us, your baby brother and I wouldn't even be here right now, Abby.

Abby: No, no, no. I will not go through this again. I lost dad once already. It was all your fault then. It's all your fault now.

Jennifer: Abby, listen -- listen to me. How -- how could it be my fault? I went to look for your dad because I got a message on the computer that he was alive. I risked my life to bring your dad back to you, and you know what? We almost made it. What happened on that ocean was completely out of our control.

Patrick: And we're still searching, Abby. The Coast Guard is out there. Brady Black is with them.

Abby: And why aren't you? Why didn't you stay out there until you found him?

Jennifer: Because the Coast Guard wanted all of the survivors to get home to their loved ones, especially me with a new baby. I wanted to get back to you. Can you understand that?

Abby: And I want my dad back. I can't believe he was alive all this time. You knew. You never told me. You just shipped me off to camp and went looking for him yourself. I might not see my dad again. If you can make it home, why couldn't he?

Jennifer: Sweetie, he tried. I am telling you, he did everything he could to make it home to you, believe me.

Abby: I don't believe a word you're saying. If only one of you could come home, why'd it have to be you?

Patrick: Abby.

Jennifer: Abby.

Patrick: You weren't there. I know you can't mean that.

Abby: Yes, I do.

Chelsea: Abby, I know you're really upset right now, but you missed your mom so much, and now her and your brother are back, and they're safe.

Abby: Shut up. You never had your parents die and come back and die again. Nobody in this whole world has. This is crazy. I don't want to talk to anyone anymore. Just leave me alone.

Jennifer: I-I'm so sorry, Chelsea.

Chelsea: No, don't apologize, Ms. Deveraux. It's -- I-I can't imagine what she's going through right now. I'm just glad you're okay.

Jennifer: Thank you.

Chelsea: Well, I better go. Tell her to call me if she changes her mind and feels like talking.

Jennifer: I will. Goodbye, sweetie.

Jennifer: Okay, so what -- what, Patrick, what do I do now? How do we go through this all over again?

Kate: Lucas, I have done everything in my power to remain positive.

Lucas: Mom, I-I heard the news on the radio. I know Roman's missing at sea.

Kate: Yes, and I just have to believe that he's going to be rescued and that he's going to come home to me.

Lucas: Yeah, but -- I mean, I kept telling Sami there's no way her mother could be alive, and she kept hoping that -- that that was true, but I can't believe this. It's unbelievable. They've been alive the whole time, and now they're trying to come back home? Mom, knowing Roman, he's not going to give up. What can I do? Is there anything I can do for you?

Kate: No. No, I'm going to be all right. I am.

Lucas: Are you sure?

Kate: Look, how was your job interview?

Lucas: It was all right. It was all right, I guess. Have you seen Sami around? I'm supposed to meet her here. I got to get a blood test for the wedding.

Kate: Uh, yeah. She was here earlier.

Lucas: Does she know? I mean, did you tell her about her parents?

Kate: No. I-I don't know if she knows.

Lucas: Well, I'm really worried about her. I mean, after everything she's been through, this could really destroy her.

Sami: [Sighs]

Brandon: Samantha, I want you to just listen to me, all right? The reason I came to the hospital with Lexie is --

Sami: Oh, God. I don't want to hear it, okay? Please, I don't want to hear anything about her. That woman hates me. She's out to ruin my life. All I need is for you to please leave town, please. Just get out of my life.

Brandon: You just don't know how to shut up, do you?

Woman: Mr. Walker, Dr. Carver wants to see you at the second floor nurses' station. She says it's urgent.

Sami: No, no, no. Go running after Lexie. I know you're so thrilled you were here for her birthday. What, are you two getting hot and heavy again?

Brandon: Lexie is my stepmother. You know what? Forget it. Just have a nice life, all right?

Sami: What if Celeste’s prediction comes true? No. No, I'm not going to let that happen. I am not going to let Brandon come between me and Lucas.

Lucas: Sami. We need to talk.

Bo: You will not speak to your mother like that. Right now would be a real good time to apologize.

Shawn-D: I'm sorry, mom. It's been a rough day, I guess, not -- not that that is an excuse. I'm so glad to have you two back. You have no idea. I'll never take you for granted. You know that. Forgive me?

Hope: Of course. I just want to make sure you're okay, honey.

Shawn-D: I'm fine, mom. I'm fine.

Shawn-D: You know what, dad? I owe you an apology, too. I'm sorry.

Bo: Apology accepted.

Jan: Shawn, let's get the fire going.

Hope: He just doesn't seem himself.

Jan: I'm going to get us a couple of sodas, okay?

Shawn-D: Yeah, great.

Hope: You know, even if Shawn and Belle had a terrible fight, I mean, why would he take up with her? It doesn't make any sense, after the history those two have had. I thought he hated her. I just wish he'd realize that he belongs with Belle.

Bo: If Shawn and Belle are anything like us -- soul mates, meant to be -- no one will keep them apart.

Jan: [Thinking] You want to bet? If I get my way, Shawn will be mine forever and Belle will be history.

Belle: Dad, Brady will do everything he can to find mom.

John: And Vic. You know, Brady’s very concerned about his grandfather. You know, he was almost killed during an explosion in the compound. Now he's missing also.

Belle: I'm sure Shawn’s parents have told him the whole story by now. I hope he's okay.

John: Want me to call him for you?

Belle: No. It's not a good idea. It would just make things worse.

Kate: Hello. How's our patient doing?

John: Why don't you try asking me that when I'm up moving around?

Kate: Well, knowing you, that's going to be very soon. I tried to leave some messages for Philip at the apartment.

Belle: Oh, he's on duty at the base. No phone calls allowed. He's going to be so upset when he hears that his dad is missing.

Kate: I know. We just have to hold onto the hope that his father's still alive. You really understand how he feels, don't you? Thank God you both have each other.

Brandon: Hey, Lex. I got your message. How's Abe?

Lexie: He's not doing well.

Sami: God, Lucas, I have had a really rough day, okay?

Lucas: I understand. I heard.

Sami: You heard? And you understand?

Lucas: Of course I do. I-I know how upset you must be.

Sami: Wait a second. What are you talking about?

Lucas: Wait, you haven't heard, have you?

Sami: Heard what?

Lucas: Come on, let's sit down, okay?

Sami: What? No. Lucas, honey, just tell me. Whatever it is, it can't be worse than what I've already been through.

Brandon: Does Abe know what the specialist said, that he might not regain his sight anytime soon?

Lexie: Yeah. He's trying to be upbeat. It's breaking my heart.

Brandon: What now?

Lexie: I'm sending him to a state-of-the-art eye clinic for further tests and treatment. I'm filling out the paperwork now.

Brandon: Lex, why don't I stay in Salem a while longer? You know, in case you need help.

Lexie: No. I don't want you running into Sami Brady.

Brandon: Don't worry. I already did. It really can't get much worse than that.

Lucas: There's actually some good news, okay? So let's just start with that. Your mother is not the serial killer, Sami. Everybody knows that now.

Sami: I knew it. Isn't that what I was saying all along? God, and no one would listen to me. I tried to tell everyone. And of course, Bo -- he had to throw her in jail. It's his fault that she was shot and killed.

Lucas: That's what I'm telling you. That's why you need to sit down, okay? Come here.

Sami: What?

Lucas: Your mother -- she wasn't killed at that prison. She was never shot through the heart. She's been alive this whole time.

Sami: What? What are you saying, Lucas? My mother's alive?

Lucas: Yeah.

Sami: Where is she?

Lucas: Well, she -- she and all the other victims, they were never dead. They were never killed, Sami. They were buried alive, and then they were abducted, and they were taken to an island in the Caribbean by Tony DiMera.

Sami: Tony? Wait a second. He was -- he was mauled by a tiger.

Lucas: I know.

Sami: We all saw it. What is this, some sort of sick joke?

Lucas: No. No, it's not. It's not a joke. I mean it.

Sami: So they -- they really have... evidence that my mom is alive?

Lucas: Yeah, they do.

Sami: And everybody -- Lucas, what about my dad?

Lucas: Sami, your dad's alive, too. He was never killed. Never.

Sami: He's -- ha ha. How do you know? Are you sure? Have you seen him? Where is he?

Lucas: They escaped, Sami. They escaped the island, and... they were on their way back home, and I'm not really sure exactly what happened. I caught bits and pieces on the radio, but --

Sami: It doesn't matter.

Lucas: Honey, it didn't sound good.

Sami: It doesn't matter, does it? It's just -- my parents, they're coming back. I get to see them.

Lucas: Please don't do this to yourself, baby. We don't know for sure yet, okay?

Sami: It's okay. Lucas, think about it -- the news, they always try to make everything seem worse than it is, right? They do not know my parents and what my parents have been through already. My mom and dad -- they would do anything to come back home, and that's what's happening. They're coming back to me.

Lucas: Sami, they're missing.

Sami: Missing? What do you mean?

Lucas: I don't know. We should talk to John about this.

Sami: John. He's here, too?

Lucas: Yeah, he's in room 210. Sami, he was with your parents the whole time. He can tell us exactly what happened.

Kate: Have we heard from the Coast Guard?

John: I assume Brady’s still out searching with them. I thought I might have heard something by now.

Belle: I'm sure he'll be in touch as soon as he knows anything.

John: You mean as soon as he finds them, and he will.

Sami: Tell me! Tell me where my parents are, John! Damn it, what have you done with them, you bastard?! Tell me!

Hope: I know when something's not right with my son. He's different. I'm going to find out what Jan’s really up to.

Jan: There you go.

Shawn-D: Thanks.

Jan: You're welcome.

Shawn-D: Well, that should warm us up.

Jan: Yeah. Shawn... how long do we have to stay here? I really cannot wait to be alone with you, and I know another way I could warm you up.

Shawn-D: All right, would you give it a rest? I want to spend some time with my family. I haven't seen them for months. Until a little while ago, I thought they were dead. And now my uncle, my grandmother, and my grandfather are all missing. My family needs me. Are you stupid, or can you not see that? And this is warm. I'm getting another drink.

Jan: [Thinking] If Shawn ever finds out I tried to electrocute his grandpa Munster, I'm toast.

Jan: [Thinking] Why do Shawn’s parents have to be cops? I can't let them bust me. Oh, well. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Lexie: You saw Sami?

Brandon: Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Lexie: Brandon, this is what I was afraid of -- you running into Sami and getting caught up in her craziness.

Brandon: I'm sorry. Have I been acting crazy?

Lexie: You know what I mean.

Brandon: What do I have to do to convince you? I am not going to let Samantha get to me. She will not be an issue in my life. Look, I just went round one with her, and she doesn't want me here any more than you do, which is absolutely fine with me.

Lexie: And did you make that clear to Sami?

Brandon: I tried, but she went off the deep end as soon as she found out I stayed in Salem last night.

Lexie: Oh, yeah. I could imagine. She's afraid my mother's premonition will come true, that your spending the night means that her happy future with Lucas will be ruined. It would serve her right if it happened, but I don't want to ruin your happiness just to see her miserable. Given the chance, Sami will take any situation, and she'll turn it into a drama about her, and it always has an unhappy ending.

Sami: Damn it, John, just tell me what happened to my parents!

Lucas: Stop it, stop it. Calm down, Sami. Take some deep breaths. Please.

Sami: Oh, God. All right. All right, I can handle this, okay? I've been down this road before.

Belle: Sami, this was not dad's fault.

Sami: You mean your dad, right, Belle? Because my dad is still missing. And so is our mother.

Belle: And so is your Grandma Caroline, and your cousin Cassie, Jack, and Victor.

Sami: They're all still -- but what about -- what about the others? What about Jennifer and -- and Abe and Bo and Hope?

Kate: They're fine, Sami.

Sami: Oh. So it's my family that's still missing -- again.

Belle: Sami, I am so sorry. I know it's awful, but it is not my dad's fault.

John: We're doing everything we can to find them, Samantha.

Sami: Oh, really? What's this "we," John? 'Cause it looks to me like you're just lying here on your ass doing nothing.

Lucas: Please, Sami, stop it. Come on.

Belle: Come on, Sami. Let's just pray and be positive together.

Sami: Belle, I am positive. I am positive that my parents are going to be found. When they were missing before, and everyone told me that they were dead, I knew in my heart that they were still alive, and I still have that feeling now.

Kate: Well, Sami, that's a good thing, and what you should do is thank John for risking his life, 'cause that's what he did, going to the island to rescue them.

Sami: But he didn't succeed, did he? And I blame you, too, Kate -- you and all your false sympathies. Neither of you want my parents to be found, do you?

John: No, Sami, that's not true, and you know it.

Kate: Roman is my husband, and Marlena is John's wife, and we want them back.

Sami: John, please, please, just tell me what happened, okay?

Kate: Sami is completely irrational, and the longer that Roman and Marlena are missing, the more impossible she's going to be. Lucas, I'm warning you -- I am warning you, you're going to be caught in the crossfire.

Brandon: Samantha is not my problem anymore. Let Lucas deal with her personality quirks.

Lexie: Ah. Quirks. Hmm, very nice. Diplomatic. I have a hard time putting Sami in a sentence without expletives. Anyway, I've got to finish up this form for Abe’s transfer to the clinic. Oh... when I think of all the special occasions Abe missed this past year -- Theo’s first birthday, his first tooth.

Brandon: Yeah, he's got a lot of catching up to do. I mean, when I think of the lifetime of special moments between a father and a son... Abe never got to see me ride my first two-wheeler, or play little league.

Lexie: Brandon, it's not fair that Abe didn't know that you were his son. Or for you to have to be raised by a stepfather as abusive as Paul Mendez.

Brandon: That's all in the past. And I got through it. I'm just glad Abe has a chance to be a father to Theo.

Lexie: Mm. I just hope that he's able to see Theo ride his first two-wheeler, play in his first little league game.

Brandon: I'm sure Abe will be able to see again. But in the meantime, my father needs me. I'm going to stay here in Salem to be here for my dad.

Kate: Oh, God, Lucas? What? What?

Lucas: Don't try it. All right? Don't try to make trouble between me and Sami. She's going through enough right now dealing with her parents missing.

Kate: Sami never manages any crisis in a healthy way, Lucas. She makes life miserable for everyone. And she's gonna make it miserable for me and for John and eventually for you. She's gonna break your heart. Will you please -- will you please just get out of this doomed relationship before it's too late?

Lucas: Listen to me. I am not gonna turn my back on her. You understand? Not now, not ever. I love her. Just accept it. Now don't try it, okay? This is between me and Sami. This is my life. Don't try to break us up. Because if you do, you're gonna lose. I promise.

Kate: I'm going to check my messages.

Lucas: Fine.

Sami: Everything is gonna be different now when my parents come home. I'll bet you all that time they spent together on the island, they couldn't ignore their feelings for each other. I think they're still in love. And that's why mom didn't want anything to do with you, and that is why she's not here with you now, isn't it?

Belle: Sami, stop it. This isn't helping anything.

John: Belle's right, Sami. I think you ought to stop lying to yourself and just face the truth.

Jennifer: I can’t. I can't fall apart like this. I need to be strong for Abby right now.

Patrick: Jennifer, you are a great mother. You always put your children first, even on the island. You were willing to give up your own life for the baby.

Jennifer: Yeah, well, thanks to you, my baby and I survived. I really don't know what we would have done without you, Patrick. Without Jack.

Patrick: Well, I'm still here. So you can lean on me now. You don't have to be the strong one all the time.

Jennifer: Thank you. I'm just so worried about Abby. For her to lose her dad again. I mean, she's a teenager. She's had enough heartache to last her a lifetime. And what about my new baby? Is this innocent little boy gonna have to grow up without his father?

Shawn-D: What's wrong?

Jan: It's just -- seeing you reunited with your parents just made me think about my parents and -- and that stupid skiing accident, and how they're never gonna come home to me. How we're never gonna be a family again.

Shawn-D: I'm here, Jan. I'm sorry.

Jan: No, it's fine. I don't want to ruin your family reunion. I'm just gonna go.

Shawn-D: No, no, Jan. Don’t. Don’t. I have to take you home. You're not gonna be alone like this. All right?

Shawn-D: All right. Mom, dad, uh, I got to get going.

Hope: Oh, no.

Bo: Already?

Hope: Honey, you don't have to leave yet, do you?

Shawn-D: Yeah, yeah, I do. I do. I have to... spend some time with Jan. She needs me right now, so, uh, good night, mom.

Hope: Honey.

Shawn-D: And, dad...

Bo: Yeah?

Shawn-D: Good night.

Bo: 'Night.

Hope: We love you, honey.

Shawn-D: It's great seeing you guys. I'm so glad you're home. I'm really sorry about the bike. I'll replace it. I promise.

Bo: We'll talk about that later.

Shawn-D: Okay. Good night.

Hope: [Coughs]

Jan: Good night, Mr. and Mrs. Brady. Welcome home.

Bo: What the --

Hope: Why didn't you do something, stop them?

[Telephone rings]

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: Jan's up to something. By God, I'm gonna find out what it is.

Bo: Brady. Hey, Billie, what's up? Slow down. What is going on?

Jan: Hey. Thank you for taking me home so we can be together. I promise you, you're not gonna regret this.

Jan: I'm never gonna leave your side. And no one will ever come between us.

Bo: Yeah, I'm on my way. I got to go down to the station.

Hope: I don't think that's a good idea.

Bo: Billie discovered something about tony DiMera on that disk.

Hope: Bo, I don't think it's a good idea that you go to the station.

Bo: Why? What's wrong?

Hope: It's just a bad feeling that I have. I just -- I'm afraid the trouble isn't over for us, or for our family.

Patrick: Look, sometimes life is unfair. But you can't give up. You have to hope for the best. For your kids, for yourself.

Jennifer: I know that. I know. You're right. And I am going to cling to the hope that they find Jack alive. I'm just so thankful for your help and your support, and I'm so glad that you're here. I am so lucky to have you as a friend, Patrick.

Patrick: Hey, hey, I'll always be here for you.

Lexie: Brandon, that is very thoughtful of you, but --

Brandon: Thoughtful has nothing to do with it. I can't leave now. Abe's my dad, and he needs me to be here. I want to be here for you and Theo, too.

Lexie: Okay. That is very sweet, but I still think that you should move back to Chicago. Stay far away from Sami Brady.

Brandon: Lexie, do you realize how insignificant she is in light of what's happened to my dad? Look, we're gonna be too busy concentrating on him and his recovery. How you doing?

Lexie: I hope you're not making the biggest mistake of your life, Brandon.

Sami: You and Kate are both liars. I know you want my parents gone so you two can be together, and I think it's sick.

Belle: That's crazy!

John: I know that you've never accepted me in your mother's life, Samantha...

Sami: Mm-hmm.

John: But the fact is, I love her.

Sami: Yeah, I'm not buying it. And I know you better than that, John. You can't wait to get your hands on your next mistress, and this time it's Kate.

Lucas: Stop it. Stop it right now.

John: Hey, Kate. What is it?

Kate: I just spoke to Brady and the Coast Guard. And they've found something. They have news, and they're bringing back...

Sami: They're alive! It's my parents! They found my parents! My parents are alive!

Bo: You're leaving Salem?

Billie: Unless you could give me a reason to stay.

John: Is it possible that doc was somewhere on that trawler?

Hope: No.

Marlena: Oh, my gosh, Roman, we could be held captive by Tony forever.

Sami: You're the only person who understands.
