Mimi: [Sobbing]

Rex: Hey. What's wrong?

Mimi: Nothing.

Rex: It's not nothing, Mimi. You're thinking about your brother.

Mimi: I just -- I just still can't believe he's really gone. And just when my family was back together. Rex, I just -- I miss him so much. How will I ever get over this?

Rex: You won't.

Belle: Whoa! [Groans]

Jan: Oh, aren't they just the perfect couple? Anybody can see that they're in love -- and lust. Check out that look in Philip's eye. It's so obvious that he's having impure thoughts about her, no doubt fantasizing about all the things he's going to do to little miss innocent once he gets her into bed.

Shawn-D: Shut the hell up.

Jan: Excuse me, why are you angry at me? You should be thanking me. If I didn't show you this little video of Belle and Philip's date at the Penthouse Grill, you wouldn't even have a clue as to what's been going on behind your --

Shawn-D: There's nothing. Nothing is going on, 'cause they're not on a date. They're not in love. They're not on anything. They wouldn't do that to me.

Jan: Are you sure about that? I mean, you've been gone for quite a while, and people do move on -- some a little faster than others.

Shawn-D: I've known Philip my entire life. He's family, for God's sake, and my girlfriend would never do that.

Jan: Ex -- ex-girlfriend. Ex.

Shawn-D: There is no way in hell that they would ever hook up, okay?

Jan: What is it going to take for you to finally --

Shawn-D: A hell of a lot more than some stupid video of them just going out to dinner as friends. And if you'll please excuse me, I'm going to go do the only thing I can do in this cage besides sleep -- take a shower.

Jan: So you need more than Belle saying that she never wants you in her life again, do you? Well, that shouldn't be a problem. I will do whatever it takes to make you see the light, and once you do, you'll be all mine -- forever. [Crickets chirping]

Doug: What's wrong, Marlena? Why does she keep passing out?

Marlena: Doug, she's suffering from complete exhaustion.

Roman: Doc, we really need to talk to her. Do you have any idea when she'll come around again?

Marlena: It could be hours.

Doug: Hours?

Roman: Pard, we don't have that kind of time. Those people out there need us. Jennifer could be into labor as we speak.

Abe: Yeah, I know, but Hope is the only one that knows where they are.

Roman: And how to get the hell out of this prison to get to them.

Abe: If she doesn't wake up soon...

Roman: Well, she has to. That's all there is to it. Doc, isn't there something you can do?

Abe: Something you can give her, some kind of drug -- a stimulant to make her come around, just for a minute.

Marlena: Well, there is a drug, but it doesn't come without a risk.

Doug: What kind of risk?

Marlena: Doug, if I gave it to her, she might not wake up at all.

Jennifer: [Groaning] Oh, God. [Grunts] [Panting] [Grunts]

Patrick: Jennifer, take my hand. Hurry! Okay. I can pull you up.

Jennifer: Okay. Aah! Oh!

Patrick: Hurry!

Jennifer: [Gasps] Oh. Oh. Aah!

Patrick: Hang on, Jennifer. I've got you.

Jennifer: Oh! Oh! I can't -- I can't. I can't. The contractions -- Patrick, this baby's coming!

Patrick: The baby has to wait.

Jennifer: Oh, God. Oh, I'm so scared.

Patrick: You'll be all right, I promise. Now, on the count of 3, I'm going to lift you up. Are you ready? 1, 2, 3.

Jennifer: Aah! Oh! Aah! Aah!

Patrick: Jennifer!

Jennifer: [Screaming]

Jennifer: Aah! Aah! Oh! Aah!

Patrick: I've got you! I've got you.

Jennifer: Patrick, you're going to fall. You're going to fall!

Patrick: [Grunts]

Jennifer: Okay, all right. Patrick, I'm okay. I'm okay. All right, you saved me. You saved me and the baby.

Patrick: You all right?

Jennifer: No. No. I'm just going to lie down.

Patrick: You can't. You understand? And whatever you do, do not let go of my arm. That ledge is about to go, and the rest could go at any second.

Jennifer: All right. I'm going to try, but --

Patrick: You're not going to try -- you're going to do it. Jennifer, think about the baby, about Jack and Abby. You have too much to live for. You can't let go.

Jennifer: I don't want to. But what if -- what if I can't help it?

Patrick: You can help it. It won't be for much longer. Hope will be back soon with help, and Jack, too.

Jennifer: What if -- what if they can't find someone to help us? What then?

Patrick: One of them will. You can bet on it.

Jennifer: Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!

Patrick: It's okay. Just take it easy. Don't move.

Jennifer: Aah! No! No, Patrick! It's happening! This baby's coming! I can feel it.

Patrick: Come on, Hope. Where are you?

Doug: Now wait a minute. You're not giving my daughter anything that's going to put her life in jeopardy -- no way. No way. I won't have it.

Marlena: Doug, I did -- I did not mean to alarm you. I'm so sorry. I-I simply miss spoke. What I should have said is the drug is completely safe if administered under the right circumstances in the right dosage.

Abe: You know, whatever it is, we better get on with it. We don't have much time.

Roman: Yeah, where is it? Do you have that thing here at the house?

Marlena: It's in my medical bag at home -- in real Salem.

Roman: Well, then, it's probably here, too. I mean, since our captor's pretty much duplicated everything down to the last detail.

Marlena: Well... [Gasps] Oh, my gosh. It is here. I wish I'd thought to look for this sooner. And everything is intact.

Roman: All right, and the drug to wake Hope?

Marlena: It's here.

Doug: What is it exactly?

Marlena: Adrenaline.

Roman: Like you'd use to jump-start a heart.

Marlena: Exactly, but I'd be giving Hope a much smaller dosage.

Doug: Okay, okay, and it really is safe?

Marlena: Well, it couldn't hurt her unless--

Doug: Unless what?

Marlena: Unless the medicine had been tampered with. I know that's very farfetched, but our captors might have been able to do that, and then a medicine meant to help somebody would --

Abe: Might actually cause harm.

Marlena: Or worse.

Abe: I don't suppose there's any way you can tell if the drug's been altered.

Marlena: No. Not without a-a lab analysis.

Roman: Well, it's simple, then. We don't use it.

Abe: No, no, of course not. It's too great a risk.

Roman: Damn it! What the hell do we do now?

Doug: Try it on me.

Abe: What?

Doug: Yeah. Give me a small dose of that -- of that drug. If it's lethal, we'll find out. And if it's not, well, then, we can revive Hope, and we can help the others.

Mimi: You mean I'm going to feel this way forever?

Rex: No. Look... what I meant is that the pain you feel when you lose someone you care about -- it never completely goes away, but in time, it does get a little easier.

Mimi: Is that what happened with Cassie?

Rex: I'll never get over losing my sister. I just miss her every day. I-I wish she were here, and -- I know I always will. But when I think about how I felt right after it happened...

Mimi: I thought I understood what you were going through, but I didn't -- until now.

Rex: I would give anything to have you not go through that pain.

Mimi: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up all this bad stuff. I just -- I've been trying so hard to be strong.

Rex: You don't need to do that, all right? You shouldn't. You need to feel the way you're feeling. Let it out.

Mimi: It just hurts so much. Just thinking I'm never going to see him again... I mean, how did you even deal with that?

Rex: To be honest, I don't know if I could have if it hadn't been for one thing.

Mimi: What was that?

Rex: You. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't been there for me. You saw me through the hardest time of my life, and now I want to be there for you. I want to help you get through this, but you got to be willing to let me. Are you?

Mimi: Oh, Rex. [Water running]

Jan: Oh, Shawn, you are so fine. I know if you just try me, you'll like me, and the time to prove it is now.

Jan: Hey, lover. Are you ready for some good, clean fun? What the hell? Shawn. Shawn, let me in! Shawn, I know you want me. Come on! Shawn! Shawn! Shawn!

Jan: Forget it. As long as he thinks that, that bleached blond Pollyanna's still saving it for him, he'll never even give me a chance. No, there's only one thing I can do. I can see that now. I have to go back to that loft tonight and shoot Belle and Philip.

Philip: Belle?

Belle: What are you doing?

Philip: Are you okay? I am sorry. You just -- you surprised me. I thought you were somebody breaking in. Are you all right?

Belle: Oh -- oh, my back. My back.

Philip: Did I hurt you? Do you need a doctor? I'm so sorry.

Belle: Don't be ridiculous. I just -- I think I pulled a muscle or something.

Philip: Well, I thought you'd gone to bed.

Belle: Well, I couldn't sleep. I mean, with the air out, it's, like, 1,000 degrees in here. I just came down to get a fan.

Philip: Did you have to sneak up on me in the dark?

Belle: Don't you ever look before you attack?

Philip: It's defense training. It's a force of habit. And, look, my mind was just on other things. I am so -- I'm sorry.

Belle: It's okay, it's okay. You can stop apologizing. Just -- it's okay. Oh, but it hurts to walk.

Philip: Hold on. Don't -- don't move, don't move. I'm going to get you on the couch. Here, put your hand here. Come on. There we go. There you go. Now just take it easy. Let me take a look at you. All right, roll over. Let me see. The spot right down here, right?

Belle: Oh, ow, ow, ow, ow.

Philip: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Looks like you def-- well, looks like I tweaked a muscle right down here. But you're a lucky girl, because... I know something that's going to make you feel better just

Belle: What?

Philip: This.

Rex: Wait, are -- are you up for this? We don't -- we don't have to do this.

Mimi: No, I -- I need you, Rex. I want to make love. Don't you?

Rex: Yeah, of course I do. I love making love to you. It's just -- I feel like this is more out of escape.

Mimi: So... what if it is? That's the Lockhart way of dealing -- ignore whatever's wrong or whatever hurts, and maybe it'll all go away.

Rex: And that works for you?

Mimi: No, but it helps for a little while.

Rex: Yeah, but you know what really helps? Talking about it.

Mimi: About Patrick?

Rex: Yeah. Remember when Cassie died and you asked me about my favorite memory of her? I know I went on for hours, and all you did was listen, and it really helped.

Mimi: It made you feel better to talk about her.

Rex: Yeah. Come on, why don't you give it a try? I-I don't know. Just, uh... about -- let's talk about when you guys were kids. I mean, what was Patrick like?

Mimi: Well... I mean, I was still pretty young when he moved out, but... he was always very protective of his little sister. But he was a rebel, too.

Rex: Aah, he got into some trouble, huh?

Mimi: Yeah, and not the usual kind. Oh, my God, I remember this one time, the only family vacation we all ever went on nearly ended in disaster because of him.

Rex: What? What happened? Where was this?

Mimi: The Caribbean.

Rex: The Caribbean? I thought you said your parents were always broke.

Mimi: They were, but my Mom won this trip with her grocery store green stamps, if you can call that winning. It turned out to be this mosquito-infested hellhole on some no-name island practically off the charts. Anyway, uh, she and my Dad -- they managed to have fun, though, losing their money in the casino. And anyway, one day, while they were doing that, Patrick suggested that we venture off into the jungle on what he called a mini-safari.

Rex: By yourselves?

Mimi: Yep.

Rex: Isn't that a little... dangerous?

Mimi: Well, see, my brother was a huge fan of those Indiana Jones movies, and he was sure he was going to find the temple of doom.

Rex: Ha ha ha. And -- and did he?

Mimi: Well, I guess you could say in a way, because he nearly lost his life.

Jennifer: Oh, my gosh. Oh. Patrick, what am I going to do? The contractions are -- ugh. Oh, God, they're getting closer. This baby's coming.

Patrick: Jennifer, think about the coin. Remember when you had it in your hand and the labor pains went away?

Jennifer: Patrick, Hope has the coin.

Patrick: It doesn't matter. It has no power by itself. It was just to help you focus.

Jennifer: Oh -- what?

Patrick: And you did, because you're strong, and you do what you need to do, and you have the power inside of you. It's mind over matter. Just keep telling yourself that. Tell that baby of yours it's not time. Tell he or she they'll have to wait a little while longer until it's safe, until Jack can be there.

Jennifer: Patrick --

Patrick: Jennifer, just tell the baby. Trust me.

Jennifer: Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. Okay, can you feel that, little one? Listen, I know -- I know that -- that -- that you want to get here, but you just got to -- you just g t to wait, okay? You just got to wait, got to stay inside your mommy where it's really safe. And I'm going to help you, and I'm going to concentrate really hard to make sure that you do.

Patrick: [Grunts] Now all I have to do is hang on till help arrives.

Philip: [Sighs]

Belle: Philip, you're scaring me. What are you going to do to me? I-I mean to my -- to my back.

Philip: Oh, no, Belle, this is a tried and true military technique. It's been used in the field for centuries.

Belle: Really? What is it?

Philip: Whiskey.

Belle: Whiskey.

Philip: Oh, yeah, yeah. If you're in an emergency, and there's no medical help at hand, it is by far the best anesthesia.

Belle: Well, I could certainly use some anesthetizing, but, uh, I'll take mine with diet soda.

Philip: Coming right up.

Belle: Okay.

Philip: Whew. All righty. Whew. Let's see...

Belle: Sorry it's so hot in here. I did call the super today, and apparently, the air's out in the entire building.

Philip: That's great -- just in time for the biggest heat wave of the summer, right?

Belle: Isn't that always the way?

Philip: Well, actually, the humidity will probably be good for your back, and once my amazing healing hands get started on it, we'll be all right.

Belle: You mean as in a massage.

Philip: Well, yeah. I mean, I hurt you. I figure it's the least I can do, right?

Belle: You do have a point.

Philip: But first, your medicine.

Belle: Oh.

Philip: Go ahead.

Belle: [Coughs] Ew. Strong.

Philip: Well, just think of it as a muscle relaxer. Get that and a little deep tissue action, you'll be feeling better like that.

Belle: Okay, Dr. Kiriakis, let's see what you can do.

Philip: All right, but first I just need you to take your top off.

Jan: [Thinking] All systems go. I shoot Belle and Philip looking all cozy at home, and Shawn will have to be convinced they're more than just good friends.

Jan: [Thinking] Oh, my God. This is even better than I hoped.

Belle: Oh, that feels good.

Philip: Yeah?

Belle: Yeah.

Philip: You just relax and enjoy. I'm just getting warmed up.

Doug: Well? Any reaction?

Marlena: Well, your blood pressure is slightly elevated, but that's because of the adrenaline. I'd say you're just fine.

Abe: So, how are you feeling?

Doug: I feel fine. Better than fine.

Roman: All right, then, it's working then, right, Doc? We can inject Hope.

Marlena: Yes, I'd say the drug has not been tampered with.

Abe: Thank you, Doug. You're very courageous to be the guinea pig.

Doug: Well, better me than my daughter. I just hope that we're in time to save Jennifer and the others.

Marlena: Yes, so do I. All right.

Marlena: All right, she's coming around. Hope?

Hope: Daddy?

Abe: Doug.

Marlena: Oh, Doug! Oh, my gosh.

Roman: No, Hope.

Abe: He's got a pulse, but it's weak. It's weak.

Roman: That adrenaline must've been tampered with.

Hope: What's going on? What have you done to him? What have you done to him?

Rex: My God, Patrick almost died in this trip to the jungle? How?

Mimi: Banana spiders. He managed to stumble into a whole angry nest of them.

Rex: You're kidding. They're one of the most deadly arachnids on the planet.

Mimi: You know about banana spiders?

Rex: Yeah, I learned about them in my entomology class. They are as big as tarantulas, and...as aggressive as hell. You don't want to mess with them. I mean, their bite is not only painful, but their neurotoxins can paralyze a human in five seconds. Patrick is lucky -- he's lucky he wasn't bitten. He could've nearly died.

Mimi: He was bitten, and he nearly did die. The island doctor couldn't even treat him, so he had to be flown to Miami.

Rex: Whoa.

Mimi: Yeah, they said if I hadn't pulled him out of the nest when I did --

Rex: You're lucky you weren't bitten.

Mimi: Well, I'm lucky that I insisted on bringing my purse on our mini-safari.

Rex: What do you mean?

Mimi: I have this cheap strawberry-scented perfume. I totally fumigated those little bastards to within an inch of their lives.

Rex: Wow, it sounds like you were the Indiana Jones of the family.

Mimi: Nah, that was Patrick. He was pretty tough. He was always a daredevil, even after that. Except when it came to spiders. He never got over being terrified of them.

Rex: Yeah, well, who could blame him?

Mimi: And not just because of what happened, but because the doctor said that if he ever got bitten again, there would be nothing that they could do besides watch him die a slow and really painful death.

Patrick: Jennifer... are you okay? Can you tell the baby to wait?

Jennifer: Oh, my gosh... oh, my gosh, I don't believe this. I don't believe this. The contractions stopped.

Patrick: Thank God.

Jennifer: Patrick... are you all right? You were right. Talking to the baby worked just like you said.

Patrick: I knew you could do it. Now all we have to do is wait for Hope to get back.

Shawn-D: Damn you, Philip. I'll kill you for this.

Philip: Is it too cold?

Belle: No, it feels great. I'm burning up.

Philip: Yeah. Me too.

Shawn-D: Oh, my God... oh, my God, I gotta get out of here. I gotta find Belle and stop her before she does something she'll regret.

Hope: Let go of me. Tell me what you did to him.

Roman: Hope, until we know what's going on, you have to stay still.

Hope: Whatever you injected him with, you gave it to me, too. I want to know what it was. What was it?

Roman: We thought it was adrenaline. Marlena thought it might've been tampered with, so your dad volunteered to test it before we gave it to you.

Abe: He appeared to be all right.

Hope: Well, he doesn't appear to be all right now, does he? How the hell could you let him do that? Please, Daddy, wake up. Daddy, please wake up.

Doug: Hope?

Hope: Daddy, I'm here. I'm right here. I'm right here, Daddy. You're all right. I'm right here.

Roman: Is he, Doc?

Doug: What happened?

Marlena: He just fainted.

Doug: What happened to me?

Marlena: You apparently got lightheaded from the adrenaline.

Hope: Are you all right? Are you sure?

Doug: Yeah, I'm fine, now that I see that you're awake. How's my little girl?

Hope: Daddy, I'm fine, but we got to get to Jennifer. We've got to get to Jennifer. She's about to give birth any second, and she's trapped. We've got to help her.

Abe: And we will, Hope. Now, I just want you to calm down. So first, tell us how we can get through that force field. How did you do it?

Hope: It was Patrick... and this very strange coin of his. What does that coin have to do with it?

Patrick: It's too complicated to explain.

Hope: Patrick, if you are capable of opening up that force field, then you have got to do it. We have to rescue Jack and Jennifer.

Patrick: I am telling you for the last time. You are not going.

Hope: Then neither are you.

Hope: Patrick, wait!

Abe: Unbelievable.

Roman: I'll say.

Hope: When needed to get back, Patrick gave me the same coin to break through the perimeter again.

Marlena: And it worked?

Hope: Like a charm.

Hope: And I jammed the keypad just as he had and threw the coin into the force field.

Hope: And he was right. The force field opened up, and I stepped right through. And I can do it again, but we've got to hurry. We've got to get out there and rescue Jennifer before it's too late. Come on, let's grab some things and go. Daddy, come on. Abe --

Roman: Hope, no. You are not going anywhere.

Rex: I'm sorry. I know that wasn't the most pleasant memory of your brother. Probably didn't make you feel a whole lot better.

Mimi: I don't even know w I thought of it, but I do feel better -- a little -- knowing that nothing bad will ever happen to him again. He's safe in heaven now and watching out for me, just like he always did.

Rex: He's not the only one watching out for you. I love you, Mimi. And I want to spend the rest of my life taking care of you, making you happy.

Mimi: You do make me happy, Rex -- every day. Just promise me you'll never stop.

Rex: Never. I promise.

Jan: Ooh, baby, if this gets any hotter, I'm gonna need a cold shower.

Mimi's voice: Oh, Rex, I love being with you like this. So close...

Rex's voice: It's perfect, so perfect.

Belle: Oh, my God.

Philip: What the hell is that?

Belle: It's Rex and Mimi.

Mimi's voice: Rex...

Philip: Are you kidding me?

Belle: No, I usually try and shut the window to get it out, but in this heat with no a/c?

Mimi's voice: Rex!

Philip: I guess we'll just have to deal with it, huh?

Belle: I am so sorry.

Philip: Hey, this is not your fault.

Belle: [Groans] Ahh...

Philip: So, does Mimi know that we can hear her?

Belle: And you think this is embarrassing for us? I heard them for the first time on the island, and I asked her what it was like, you know, to have sex.

Philip: What'd she say?

Belle: Nothing. It doesn't matter.

Philip: No?

Belle: Why don't you tell me?

Philip: Tell you what?

Belle: About sex. What it's like when a man and a woman make love.

Jan: Did you hear that, Shawn? Your little virgin wants to know what it's like to have sex. And if I had to bet, I would say that Marine Private Philip is about to give her a firsthand demonstration.

Shawn-D: No, Belle, what the hell are you doing?

Hope: Roman, what is wrong with you? We're wasting time. We need to get out there now. Or don't you care about saving Jack and Jennifer and their baby? Patrick is also on that ledge.

Roman: Patrick is part of the reason they're in danger, that we all are. Hope, don't you see this? The fact he knew how to alter that force field proves what we suspected all along -- that he's in on this or connected to whoever is.

Abe: Look, I agree with Roman. This man is obviously a threat, and one you're in no condition to deal with at the moment.

Hope: Well, I thought that Patrick was involved at first, too. But now I know that's not true, at least not the way we suspected. He has risked his life time and again trying to save Jennifer and her baby. Now, if he is working for whoever is holding all of us hostage here, then why would he do that? Daddy, please, tell them we're wasting time. Tell them we need to go. We need to go now. We're wasting time!

Abe: Roman and I will take it from here. Hand over the coin.

[Mimi and Rex moaning]

Jan: Jeez, Louise. Once I finish getting these two on tape, I should sneak over and get the Rex and Meems on tape, too.

Philip: Belle, come on, I mean, we're friends. I can't tell you about stuff like that.

Belle: Yes, you can. I don't want you to tell me. I want you to show me.

Philip: What?

Belle: I want you to make love to me, Philip. Right here... right now.

Jan: Yes.

Mimi: Ow... ow.

Mimi: What? What's going on? What's happening to me?

Hope: There is no way in hell. Jennifer's my cousin. I'm going with you. Besides, I'm the only one who knows where she is.

Roman: Hope, will you please think about this? Think about Zack and Shawn and Bo. What the hell good are you gonna do to them not alive?

Marlena: Hope, listen to them. Do as they say. The only reason you are still conscious is because of the drug that I gave you, and that will not last forever. Honey, you need to rest. Regain your strength before you become seriously ill.

Doug: Sweetheart, you can tell us... now that we know how to get through the force field.

Roman: But we still need that coin. Hope, please, you are not gonna do your cousin or anybody else any good if you collapse out there in that jungle.

Hope: All right. I'll try to explain where she is. I'll give you the coin, but you've gotta hurry. Oh, my God.

Roman: What the hell's wrong?

Hope: The coin. My God, the coin -- it's gone. Oh, my God.

Jennifer: Patrick, Patrick, don't move. Patrick, there's a tarantula on your hand!

Patrick: Banana spider.

Jennifer: Is that poisonous?

Patrick: One bite, and I'm dead.

Jennifer: Do something, Patrick! Flick it off!

Jennifer: Oh, God, no! No! Oh, Patrick, no!

Hope: That coin is the key to everything. Without it, we'll never be able to rescue Jennifer and Patrick.

Shawn-D: None of this would've happened if you hadn't locked me up, if you hadn't made Belle think that I was gone, and that I didn't care about her or her mother died or we made a promise that we made to each other!

Bonnie: I'm just looking out for your future, hon.

Mimi: I may not even have a future.
