Bonnie: Dr. Phil told me that if I can visualize what it is I want, then it's just as good as mine. But like everything else, it takes lots of work and lots of practice. Whew. Ready when you are.

[Max barks]

Bonnie: Okay, Max, work with me now. If I can visually lasso Mickey Horton in my mind's eye, then it's only a matter of time before you get that air-conditioned doggie condo up by 1313 Mockingbird Lane.

[Max barks]

[Max whimpering]

[Max barks]

Bonnie: Luckily for me, I used to date a cowboy. Okay, now, bon, focus. Instead of Max, think of sweet old Mickey Horton.

[Drum roll]

Bonnie: Good. Steady... count of 3... 1...2...3!

[Rim shot]

Mimi: What are you up to now, Mom?

Jan: I sure hope so. It's about time Salem P.D. got that nut job off the streets.

Shawn-D: Jan! I know you can hear me! Come on, just let me go! Don't you realize that you're not gonna get away with this? You know, I got to go to the bathroom. Hello!

Nicole: God, Jan. You better be taking care of Crystal's bail. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Shawn-D: Jan! Come on. Come on, just let me out of this cage. I'm not gonna run away, okay? It's just my wrists are killing me, and my back -- I think I'm cramping up.

Nicole: Brady.

Shawn-D: You're not Jan.

Hope: Hey.

Bo: Hey. Just getting back from the funeral?

Hope: Yeah.

Bo: Wish I could have gone but it's best I didn’t. How's Sami holding up?

Hope: I thought we were going to have to bury her along with Marlena.

Bo: Why? What happened?

Hope: She wouldn't let go of the casket. She thought she heard Marlena calling out from the grave.

Bo: Oh, man. I'm gonna give her a call, see how's she doing.

Hope: No, wait. Don’t. Trust me on this. You're the last person in the world she wants to hear from right now.

Sami: Besides will, I don't have anyone.

Lucas: You have me, Sami. You have me.

Marlena: [Faintly] Help me! Help me!

Marlena: Help me! Help me, somebody, please!

[Pounding] Help me! Anybody? Help me! [Sobbing] I'm alive! I'm alive! Help me, please, somebody! Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives. Be out in a minute.

Mimi: Mom, God, what are you doing? Are you getting Max ready for a dog-roping contest? It's an exercise. I'm visualizing what I want and going after it while the getting's good. Uh-huh. So you want, what, another dog?

Bonnie: No.

Mimi: Oh, I know, I know. You're out to hog-tie Mr. Horton.

Max: [Barks]

Mimi: See? Even Max knows what you're doing is immoral. Can't you think about someone else besides yourself?

Bonnie: I am thinking of someone else. I'm thinking of Mickey.

Mimi: Oh, great, Mom. You know, if you thought anything about Mr. Horton, you would try to be considerate of what he's going through right now. Don't you realize that Dr. Evans was buried today?

Bonnie: Yes, it's all so very sad.

Mimi: Sad? Sad?! Mom, it's tragic. Not only did Belle lose her mom, but a lot of people, including Mr. Horton, were reminded of all the loved ones they lost.

Bonnie: See, that's the thing about life, Meems -- one chapter ends and a new chapter begins. Mickey Horton is going to be in a very vulnerable place, and I am just the one to comfort him. And if I'm lucky, I will not only get my name printed on the Mickster's checks, but he will ask for my hand in marriage, too.

Lucas: Look, I'm sorry. I know it must have been hard for you to see your mom buried.

Sami: I know everyone thinks I've gone off the deep end, including you, but I ear, Lucas, I swear that I -- I heard my mom calling for help. She was begging me to help her get out of that coffin.

Lucas: You told me that once, when you were little, that you lost your mom, and if all that didn't happen, your -- your whole life would be different. I don't know what you're going through. I really don’t. Your mom, she -- she'd be good at explaining it to you, though. I mean... she always had a full understanding of the mind and how it copes with things like this. I -- I just wish she was here to help you through it.

Sami: Yeah. But she's not. It's not possible, is it?

Lucas: No. I'm afraid it's not.

Sami: Lucas, I just can't believe it. You know, I -- I can't believe that my mom is gone and -- and that she's never coming back.

Sami: [Sobs]

Lucas: Sami, you got them to open that casket. That has got to give you some peace of mind. Your mother isn't suffering. She wasn't buried alive, Sami. She's at rest. She's finally at rest.

Sami: [Sighs]

Marlena: Help me. [ Sobbing] I can't die. I can't die. I can't die. I'm alive. Help. Oh. Please, John. [Sobbing] John. Sami. Eric. Belle. Oh, Belle.

Bo: Look, I know Sami's angry with me, but I'm her uncle. Roman would want me to help her out.

Hope: Sami is very fragile right now. Could you just trust me on this? If you call her and talk to her, it's only going to make things worse. She needs time to heal.

Bo: Sami? Heal? How is that going to happen when she picks at her own wounds?

Hope: If it makes you feel any better, Lucas is with her right now.

Bo: Look, I didn't want Marlena to die like this, but she -- she's a murderer. She killed my mother, my brother, your father, Mrs. H., and five other innocent victims. She would have been dead whether that sharpshooter obeyed my order to stand down or not.

Hope: I know. We always said when the Salem stalker was caught and punished, this nightmare would be over. But do we really feel any kind of closure? Because I don’t. Even with Marlena's confession, we still don't know what happened.

Bo: Under the sodium pentothal, her only explanation was that she was in love with Roman. She killed with premeditation over and over again. How do you explain that kind of evil?

Hope: I wish I knew.

Bo: Hey, you in the hat.

Shawn-D: You're not Jan, but I know you. I know your voice. So who are you, and why are you helping Jan? Wait, wait, before you go, just at least listen to what I have to say. My name is Shawn Brady, and something very horrible has been happening in Salem. If you live there, you probably know about it. A lady by the name of Dr. Marlena Evans, the Salem serial killer -- she was shot to death in the women's facility last night. She has a daughter named Belle who I am very much in love with. The problem is, when I left Salem, it wasn't on the best of terms with her, and now her mother is dead, and she has to go through this alone. So she probably thinks since I haven't been back there, that I don't want to be there for her, when the truth is, all I want is to be there for her. Jan is -- she's crazy, and whatever she tried to tell you about my being here, she is wrong, okay? It's all wrong. And I'm afraid if you don't let me out of this cage, I will never get out of here. Haven't you ever been in love?

Brady: Answer him, Nicole. Have you ever been in love?

Nicole: Yes.

Brady: Then you have no choice. You have to set him free.

Bonnie: Why are you still here?

Mimi: Max and I have been having a discussion, and we've decided that we are no longer going to let you prey on Mr. Horton.

Bonnie: Yeah, well, um... I'm not sure what language you both are talking in, but I think you both ought to get a clue. Take a good look around. I certainly didn't have the start-up money to run this kind of joint, and I didn't get it by keeping my mouth shut. Opportunity knocked, and I --

Mimi: Bled it dry.

Bonnie: Ha ha. Not yet, I haven’t.

Mimi: Okay, you know, Mom, I feel for you, but duping s senior citizen is not the way to get money for your bar, and it's not the way to get a husband.

Bonnie: It's not like I'm not fond of Mickey, because I am. I have never met a man like him. Something cute and endearing about the old coot. And he really cares about me. And if you're lucky, you might very well have a new daddy in the not-so-distant future.

Mimi: Oh, you know what? I am this close to going straight to Mr. Horton and telling him everything.

Bonnie: You wouldn't dare. Would you?

Mimi: Oh, yes, I would. I think it's about time he found out who the real Bonnie Lockhart is.

Mickey: It's too late. I already know.

Lucas: I love that.

Sami: What?

Lucas: The way your face lights up when you look at a picture of will.

Sami: Ha ha.

Lucas: You're not alone, Sami. You have him. Here.

Sami: Thank you.

Lucas: And he has you. I mean, you are his world. You just got to stay strong for that little boy, okay?

Sami: I know my parents would say the exact same thing. I need to not wallow in self-pity, but focus on will.

Lucas: Right. You really are an amazing mom.

Sami: Lucas, I always had my parents to help me.

Lucas: I'll help you. I'll help you in whatever way I can. You still have family, Sami. You still have people who care about you. Look at this.

Sami: What?

Lucas: Come on. Look, you have Grandpa Shawn and Belle, and you have Hope and --

Sami: Hey, don't say it.

Lucas: Sami, come on.

Sami: Don't you dare mention Bo or John to me. As far as I'm concerned, they are responsible for my mother's death and you know that I'm going to do everything I can to make them pay.

Marlena: Help me. I can't breathe. [Gasps] Please help me. I can't die. Our father... who -- who art in heaven... hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done... on earth... as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread...

[Faint rumbling]

Marlena: And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the... [Gasps] Oh! Oh! Aah! Aah! [Screaming]

Brady: You're doing the right thing, Nicole. Not only are you making Shawn happy, you're making Belle happy, too. Belle needs Shawn just like he needs her.

Nicole: [Thinking] What am I doing? No, Brady. If I let the caged hunk out, he's going to turn Jan in, and the psycho bitch will finger me, and then I'll lose you for good.

Brady: I hope you know what you're doing, Nicole.

Shawn-D: Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Come on, hurry up with the keys. No, wait, wait, what are you doing? Where -- where are you going? Just -- come back! Please -- no, please!

Nicole: I'm sorry, Shawn. It's too risky. You're going to have to find your own way out of this mess.

Shawn-D: Damn it. Damn it! Damn, I knew it. Who are you? Listen, there's no way Jan is going to get away with this, all right?! You tell her that. And by you helping her, you both are going to get caught.

Bo: Hold on. You dropped something. It's under the table here. Let me...

Jan: Thanks.

Bo: Yeah. Hey, what's wrong?

Hope: Nothing

Bo: Don't give me "nothing."

Hope: It's nothing.

Bo: Something's bothering you other than what we've been talking about. What is it?

Hope: It's Shawn. No one's heard from him since he's left, and I know what you're going to say, but excuse time is over. Bo, I am really beginning to think that he could be in some kind of trouble.

Bo: I'm sure he doesn't know Marlena's dead. Otherwise, he'd be home by now.

Hope: Unless something has happened. I don't want to wait and say -- look, I know that procedure says that we have to wait at least 48 hours before we send out a squad car. Can we sidestep that little rule?

Bo: It hasn't even been 24 hours, Hope. But I do have a little pull down at the station. Tell you what -- I'll put out an unofficial order to have all on-duty cops keep an eye out for him. Is that all right?

Hope: Yes. Thank you.

Bo: You're welcome.

Hope: That makes me feel a lot better.

Bo: Come on.

Hope: And I'm sure Belle will feel a lot better, too.

Bo: Yeah.

Jan: [Thinking] You'll never find your son, Mr. And Mrs. Brady, and even if you do, he'll never be with Belle again -- never.

Mickey: I went by the house today, and I saw the flowers that you sent.

Bonnie: Oh. Well, I-I just figured, you know, with the serial killer -- Marlena being buried -- I hope it wasn't too inappropriate.

Mickey: No, not at all. I'm surrounded by, uh, reminders of Maggie, and I wanted to thank you for extending yourself just to show me how much you cared.

Mimi: Excuse me. I'm going to go get Max some water. Come on.

Bonnie: You look like you could use some iced tea.

Mickey: Well, well, thank you. Ha ha. That would be very nice. You know, I appreciate the flowers. I'll take them over to Maggie’s grave after a while.

Bonnie: Well -- ahem. That was the idea.

Mickey: Oh, thank you.

Bonnie: To Maggie.

Mickey: To Maggie. Oh-ho. This is good iced tea.

Bonnie: Ha ha ha ha ha.

Mickey: Well, that's, um... a-a Kentucky recipe, isn't it?

Bonnie: Very good. How did you know?

Mimi: Oh, my God, Max. This gets worse and worse.

Mickey: Just a wild guess. You know, Maggie would be very happy to know, uh, how kind you've been to me.

Bonnie: So how did it go? Uh, Marlena's funeral.

Mickey: Well, I went to the church, but I couldn't bring myself to go in. I thought maybe if I saw the woman that had murdered Maggie and my mother and all our friends -- if I could see her dead and buried, it would give me some -- some sense of -- of closure... some inner peace -- temporary. But, um... I got all upset, and, uh... I just -- I just realized, uh... oh, God, how alone I am. Oh. There's just -- there's such a void in my life. I-I --

Bonnie: Oh. I'm here, Mickey. I'm here.

Mimi: Oh, brother.

Mickey: I'm sorry.

Bonnie: Oh.

Mickey: I'm sorry. What -- what kind of a man must you think I am?

Bonnie: Oh. A very sensitive man. A good man who's been beaten down by grief.

Mickey: Well...

Bonnie: Is there anything, anything I can do to make you feel better?

Mickey: Well, yes. As a matter of fact, there is. You could do me the honor of accepting this.

Bonnie: Oh.

Lucas: How are you going to make them pay, Sami, huh? More pain, more suffering? You want John and Bo and my mom to die, is that it? You want to kill them?

Sami: Look, I don't know what I want. I just --

Lucas: You want them to feel the same hurt that you're feeling right now, right? Well, guess what, Sami -- they do.

Sami: Don't you dare say that. They are not going through the same kind of pain that I am.

Lucas: I'm sorry. I am. Maybe it's not the same kind of pain, but come on, pain is pain. Bo is the police commander. He lost his parents, his brother. It was his job to put an end to these horrible murders, Sami, and your mother confessed. He had her arrested, and she stole a gun from a guard, and she tried to escape. What the hell was he supposed to do?

Sami: Bo wanted my mom dead.

Lucas: No, that is not true. Hope said that Bo told that sharpshooter to hold his fire.

Sami: A likely story.

Lucas: Why would they lie about that? Come on, Sami. John even said it was true.

Sami: What, I'm supposed to trust John now? I still think he's behind all the murders. He's Stefano’s mercenary. I'm telling you, my mom could never have hurt her family and friends like that. You know what? John set her up. He made her confess. He turned her in.

Lucas: No, he didn't, Sami. Now, I know it's hard for you to accept that your mom committed these crimes, but she did. She confessed under truth serum. John loved Marlena. He would never hurt her. He would never do that to Belle. You think he'd really hurt his own daughter's mother?

Sami: God, whose side are you on, anyway? You come over here offering support, but it sounds like you're on Bo and John's side.

Lucas: No, Sami, I'm on your side. But you're consumed with hate and anger, and you know what? It's going to prevent you from being happy in the future.

Sami: What future? My life was over the minute my mother died.

Marlena: Where am I?

Marlena: [Gasps]

Bo: Yeah, right away. Thanks. The department's been alerted. You feel better?

Hope: Mm. A little bit. You know, Bo, it's just not like Shawn. That's all. Belle just lost her mother, and our son is nowhere to be found. John's furious. He told me he's not sure that our son is the man for his daughter.

Bo: Well, I feel the same way about his daughter.

Hope: Bo, come on.

Bo: Look, I know he's being a protective father and everything, but it makes it sound like he's not concerned that our son could be in trouble. This is Shawn we're talking about.

Hope: Exactly. That's why I'm worried. It's not like him to disappear into thin air.

[Door opens]

Shawn-D: Damn it, she's back.

Nicole: Mm. God, what took you so long?

Jan: I was doing what you told me to do. I had to go get the money from the bank, then I went over to cherry's bail bonds. Not the nicest part of town.

Nicole: So you bailed out Crystal and left her the money in the locker at the bus station?

Jan: Your friend Crystal's good to go.

Nicole: Oh, beautiful. I only hope she loses my phone number. She's the last person I ever want to see again. I'm out of here. Out. Oh, um... you do realize that Bo and Hope aren't just going to stop looking for Shawn. They're going to do everything they can to find him.

Jan: Yeah. I know. But by the time Bo and Hope find Shawn, he'll be deeply in love with me. He's not going to go anywhere.

Nicole: You might, uh... to jail. You know, kidnapping charges.

Jan: Shawn's not here against his will, Nicole. I haven't done a single thing wrong.

Nicole: Wow, I have to hand it to you, Jan. You are one twisted, delusional woman. Which is why I have to get Victor's evidence that I killed Colin Murphy away from you, Jan, before you get busted and blame everything on me.

Jan: Oh! It's showtime!

Bonnie: I don't know what to say.

Mickey: Go on. Open it.

Bonnie: Oh... oh...

Bonnie: Oh, my -- oh, my God, it's beautiful. Oh.

Mickey: When I went to the house today and saw the flowers you sent for Maggie, I realized what a real gem you are. Not only have you taken such good care of me during this whole tragedy, but of so many others as well.

Mimi: Oh, thank God, Max. For a minute, I thought he was going to ask her to marry him.

Mickey: When I was going through Maggie’s things to give to Melissa and Sarah, this is the one thing that I couldn't give up.

Bonnie: This pin belonged to Maggie?

Mickey: Mm-hmm. I gave it to her the day she opened Tuscany. And I told myself that I would know the time when it was right to give it again. And that time is now.

Bonnie: Oh, Mickey. Oh, I'm sorry. I -- as much as I would love to accept this gift, I can’t.

Mickey: I don't understand, Bonnie. Why won't you accept the pin?

Bonnie: It's such a wonderful gesture, you giving me this pin, but... I wouldn't feel right taking it. It's Maggie’s pin. You should retire it someplace. Keep it safe. Take it out once in a while and look at it.

Mickey: That's very thoughtful of you, Bonnie, but I insist that you accept this as a token of my appreciation and friendship. There. It's exquisite.

Bonnie: Are you sure?

Mickey: Mm-hmm. So, I had better take your flowers over to Maggie’s grave before dark. I'll see you later.

Bonnie: Okay. Oh, please do not yell at me. I did not want to take it.

Mimi: I know. Max and I saw everything. We believe you.

Bonnie: Oh, God, I am a complete and total failure.

Mimi: What do you mean?

Bonnie: I so -- was so, so close to lassoing my man, but my heart went and got in the way -- not to mention Mickey's dead wife oh...he was so vulnerable and ripe for the picking. Maggie's pin. Oh, how can I seduce a man when he's offering me his dead wife's jewelry?

Mimi: Well, I'm proud of you, Mom. Bye, Max. You gonna be good, okay? [Chuckles] Bye-bye. Here.

Bonnie: Come on, stay, Max. You got to stay with Mommy. Sit. Bye, sweetie.

Mimi: Bye.

Bonnie: Okay, so, maybe I was a little behind in my game. Yep. Once Mickey is over his grief, I am gonna wrap my rope so tight around him that even the ghost of Maggie Horton isn't gonna be able to! Bull's eye!

Bo: You know what? We got to relax and trust our son. I'm sure he's out there on the road someplace. Once we find that motorcycle, we'll know what he's up to and where he is.

Jan: Did you miss me?

Shawn-D: Where's your accomplice?

Jan: She's long gone. It's just you and me, stud. Forever.

Brady: Been looking for you. You didn't go to the funeral after all.

Nicole: You didn't seem to think I belonged there. Plus I had to take care of some last-minute titan business. Once Jan is out of the picture, this will all be over. I finally got Crystal taken care of, and now I can start moving forward with my life.

[Knock on door]

Brady: I got it.

Crystal: Hi-ya! Hi, Nicole.

Lucas: I just hate it when you talk that way.

Sami: Sorry, Lucas, but what do I have left? Everyone who's ever loved me and supported me is gone.

Lucas: They didn't leave you with anything? They didn't give you great examples of courage and honor and love, Sami?

Sami: I guess I didn't learn that very well, did I?

Lucas: No, you did. You did, Sami. It's all -- it's all right here. It's just your anger's getting in the way of what they taught you. Now, look, your life hasn't ended just because your parents are dead. You said you were going to be strong for will. Now, you did mean that, didn't you?

Sami: I'm afraid that I don't know how.

Lucas: Sami, you are the strongest person I have ever met. Even though Roman and Marlena are gone, they're still watching over you. I believe that. Maybe they can help you now more than they ever could before.

Sami: Lucas, do you realize what you're saying? You're saying that my mother is in heaven.

Lucas: Yeah.

Sami: That's the only thing that is helping me get through this, is the idea that my mother is in a better place.

[Birds chirping]

[Animals calling]

Alice: Hello, darling. I've been waiting for you.

Marlena: Alice?

Alice: Yes. Now.

Marlena: Oh... I knew it. I'm dead.

Alice: Oh, no, you're not. You're not dead. You're alive.
