Bonnie: Hello, fellas. I love you. Yes. All of you. Now, I'm not playing any favourites. But some of you are a little more endowed than others. Some are worth $100, and some are worth $50, and some a measly $20. Oh, never mind what they say. Size does matter. I wish Patrick had stuck around to shake hands with a few of you presidents and founding fathers, to see what a success his mommy turned out to be. Whoo! Thanks to Mickey Horton and the late great Alice Horton, bonnie Lockhart is finally getting what she truly... deserves.
Julie: Jennifer, I even looked under the sofa; the bonds are not there.
Jennifer: They're not upstairs, either.
Julie: Honey, you sit down and relax. I'll go look in the kitchen. Now, the bonds will turn up.
Jennifer: Okay. Oh, I hope so. Where in the world are those bearer bonds? Who could've taken those?
Patrick: I'm off to bed.
Jennifer: Uh... I just want to thank you for being here.
Patrick: Good night. I'm sorry, Jennifer, but I had no choice. I have to go.
Belle: Philip. Shawn is gone.
Hope: My God, someone's in the garage. Freeze! Shawn.
Guard: Ladies, look who's back. It's the Salem stalker herself. The peasants aren't too happy that you knifed one of their friends. Poor Tina.
Marlena: I didn't hurt Tina. You know I didn't hurt Tina.
Guard: And poor you. These gals ain't the "forgive and forget" kind.
Marlena: I didn't hurt Tina.
Woman: Ah, poor baby.
Woman #2: Ooh!
Nicole: Dr. Evans is returning to lockup tonight.
Crystal: You're kidding.
Nicole: And I'm still prepared to make good on my promise to set you up with a new life and the cash to enjoy it, reunite you with your daughter.
Crystal: What do I have to do?
Nicole: Finish the job. Kill Marlena tonight. What do you say, girlfriend? Do we have a deal?
Nicole: Crystal. Hello, are you even paying attention to me?
Crystal: How can I look at you when I can feast my eyes on tasty butt over there.
John: Nope. I haven't had any luck getting in to visit Marlena yet.
Brady: You're not going to give up, are you?
John: Not a chance. I'll call commissioner gordo to see if I can still pull some strings around this town.
Brady: I don't believe it. What are you doing here?
Belle: Kate, I didn't see you there.
Philip: Hi, mom.
Kate: Look, I hope you don't mind me tagging along. I was worried about you.
Kate: Will you let me make you something to eat?
Belle: That's very sweet of you.
Kate: No, no, no, I insist.
Belle: Come on in. Come on.
Philip: All right.
Belle: Let me just clean up. Ha ha.
Philip: Hey, uh, what happened? Did Shawn call? Did you talk to him?
Belle: Well, I, um, tried to get him to stay, but I guess he couldn’t. He needs time to think, to say goodbye to his grandmother in his own way, in his own time.
Philip: I'm sorry. Things are going to work out for you. I know they are, okay? Anything I can do, you know...
Belle: Oh, Philip, what'd I do without you?
Hope: You almost got yourself shot.
Shawn-D: I'm sorry. Next time I come home to my parents' garage, I'll be a little bit more careful. I called the station. They said you were on your way here, so don't worry. I wasn't going to leave without saying goodbye.
Hope: You already said goodbye...at the hospital.
Shawn-D: Okay, yeah, I know that --
Hope: So why turn it into some long drawn-out process, huh, Shawn?
Shawn-D: Well, maybe I was coming home to say goodbye to zack, okay? I figured that's what you'd want me to do.
Hope: Well, I think you're dragging your feet. I think you're stalling. I think you're hoping that something happens to keep you from leaving town. Admit it, Shawn.
Shawn-D: That's not what I'm doing. I'm leaving.
Hope: I'm talking about what you want. Who knows you better than your mother?
Hope: Well, I hate to say, but something is going to happen to keep you from leaving town.
Hope: Me. You're not going anywhere.
Crystal: Don't look now, Nicky, but there's a guy over there who's cute enough to be a Baldwin, and he's headed your way.
Brady: Trish! Wh-wh-- get over here!
Trish: Brady black?
Brady: What -- what are you -- I don't understand. What are you doing here?
Trish: Career change.
Brady: Do you like it?
Trish: You know, believe it or not, I do.
Brady: You... probably already know what I'm doing here.
Trish: Yeah. I heard about your step mom. When I heard about her arrest, I couldn't believe it.
Brady: Uh, yeah, neither could we.
Nicole: I have to go, but I can't let that guy see me. I know him. He can't find me here.
Crystal: Who is he, and what's his phone number?
Nicole: Back off, slut. He's my grandson.
Nicole: By marriage. At least, he was. Look, never mind. I need you to create a diversion so I can get out of here.
Crystal: I'm already scheduled for one favour for you.
Nicole: Come on. If you don't do this for me, then this whole killing Marlena thing is moot. Get me out of here, kill Marlena, and then we'll have that crystal party I promised you, crystal, okay?
Nicole: Thank you.
Crystal: Hey, Janet, Justine stole your bride magazine. Are you going to let her get away with that?
Brady: What's all that yelling?
Trish: I'm afraid it's trouble.
Nicole: This is it.
Trish: Okay, I need a lockdown in section 2.
Jennifer: What? What is it?
Julie: Jennifer, I, uh, I went into the kitchen, and I saw the light in the room above the garage, so I thought I'd go upstairs and ask Patrick if he had seen the bonds. Well, I knocked and knocked and... Jennifer, he isn't there.
Jennifer: Julie, he'll be back.
Julie: No, honey. I don't think he will. Darling, I don't know how to tell you this. His stuff is all packed up. Patrick is gone.
Patrick: I should call Jennifer, let her know I left town. On second thought, forget it. She'll know I'm gone soon enough.
Guard: You know what that sound means, ladies. Lockdown.
Women: Oh, boo! Boo! Boo!
Woman: That's for Tina!
Marlena: You're going to be sorry you did that.
Woman: Oh, yeah? Ooh! Ooh!
Marlena: Oh, yeah!
Woman: Come on! Come on!
Women: Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Trish: Yes, I want all the names of the people who were involved.
John: What's going on? I just gone done making my phone call, and the door slammed shut.
Nicole: I have to get out of here.
Trish: Okay, cancel the lockdown. The problem has been taken care of.
Nicole: Thank God. Now if they will just leave...
Brady: Apparently, two of the female prisoners started fighting.
Man on radio: Disturbance in the holding cell. Alert! Disturbance in the holding cell.
Trish: Brady, I have to go. Nice seeing you. Bye.
Brady: This is it, dad. Prison. It's the real thing. It's rough.
John: A little too rough for doc.
Brady: Did you get a hold of the commissioner yet?
John: Yeah. Yeah, he's going to try to arrange for me to see Marlena.
Brady: So it's not a done deal.
John: No, but I've got to see my wife. I'll tell you one thing, I'm going to hang out here all night long if that's what it takes.
Brady: Okay, so what do you want to do to pass the time?
John: Talking works for me. How about if I pick the subject?
Shawn-D: You're saying you're not going to let me go?
Hope: You're 21 years old. I know better than that.
Shawn-D: What are you going to say that's going to change my mind? I know you don't want me to leave. I'm sorry. But it's not like I'm not coming back. Mom, what if I got a summer job, okay? Or if I was going to college out of town? This isn't any different.
Hope: What? Of course it is, because of the reason you're leaving. I have one word for you -- regret.
Hope: Yes, regret. Leaving now may seem like the right thing to do from where you're sitting right now, but believe me, honey, I have made my share of mistakes, learned from them. If you leave town now, you'll regret it later. Belle needs you.
Shawn-D: Mom, we have been through this. I don't even want to --
Hope: It's not just Belle. I need you, too, okay? This is no time for the family to split up. We need to be together, to find a way to heal, to -- to overcome our grief together.
Shawn-D: Mom, dad is here for you, okay? 'Cause my head is so screwed up, I'm no good anyway.
Hope: That is not true, Shawn.
Shawn-D: Mom, don't you think I want to help? But I'm telling you, there's nothing that I can do.
Hope: Just do me one favour. Wait until your father comes home to say goodbye. Talk to him. You owe him that much.
Shawn-D: I've got nothing to say. Mom, not to you, not to him, and especially not to Belle.
Hope: Honey, you need perspective, and your dad can give that to you. You haven't even talked to him about what it was like when he left home, what he'd do differently, or if he has any tips if you do decide to leave. Stay here with me tonight. Spend some time with zack. Crash in your old room. Just... sleep on it. And who knows? Maybe you'll wake up in the morning and... you might feel differently about your life... and about Belle.
Shawn-D: Belle's history. I already told her goodbye. It's over, mom.
Philip: You know, I can't remember the last time you made a meal, mom.
Kate: Oh, well. Ha ha. I don't know if fixing a sandwich constitutes a meal anyway.
Belle: This is very sweet of you to do this, Kate.
Kate: Oh, honey, I wish there was more I could do.
Belle: This means so much to me that you're both standing by me like this, especially since my mom is the one that killed your husband and your daughter cassie. I don't -- I definitely don't deserve this.
Philip: Don't you dare say that, okay? We're not blaming you for your mom's crimes.
Kate: Belle, no one should hold you responsible for what your mother did -- no one.
Women: Fight! Fight! Fight!
Marlena: You don't want to do this. Trust me. You don't want to take me on, because if you do, you'll get hurt.
Woman: Ooh-ooh-ooh. I am just shaking in my jumpsuit. Ha ha ha ha. Bring it on, barbie. You don't scare me. Ha ha ha ha ha!
Guard: Now this is what I call a sporting event. Now, let's make it a little more interesting. How about a little incentive? The winner gets this.
Woman #2: Ooh.
Marlena: That's my ring. I want it back. Give it to me.
Guard: I will, if you win. If you lose, I think this diamond will look just marvy on veronica's finger.
Veronica: Yeah! Ha ha ha ha!
Marlena: You're supposed to stop fights, not encourage them.
Guard: It doesn't say that in the job description.
Marlena: If commissioner Gordon knew what you were doing, he'd have your badge.
Guard: Oh, this is my cell block. This is my world, my kingdom, my domain. What I say goes. Here there is no police commissioner, no mayor, no judge, no jury. Now listen up, you two. I want a nice, dirty fight, lots of cheap shots. Got it?
Veronica: Got it! Ha ha ha!
Guard: Ready? Go!
John's voice: I love you, doc.
Woman: Don't worry, veronica. I'll help you wax the floor with this bimbo.
Veronica: Get her!
Marlena: I don't think so.
Crystal: Wait a minute, ladies. I want a piece of this action.
Woman: Crystal, glad that you could make it.
Veronica: Yeah, let's show this penthouse bitch how we do things downtown.
Crystal: Actually, I'm going to side with her, gals.
Woman: You're joking, right?
Crystal: Wrong. Come on, doc. Let's make this a fair fight.
Marlena: Oh, my gosh.
Veronica: Big mistake, crystal!
Crystal: Oh, yeah, we'll see about that. All right, serve it up.
Mickey: I can't believe that Jennifer’s bonds are gone.
Jennifer: I can't believe that Patrick is gone.
Mickey: He didn't tell you he was leaving?
Julie: Well, the bonds are gone, and Patrick is gone, and it doesn't look good, and we need some answers.
Mickey: Well, maybe bonnie can supply some of them. I-I called her. She's on her way over.
Julie: Oh, joy.
Jennifer: Listen, I don't want to jump to conclusions, okay?
Julie: There's no sign of a forced entry, Jennifer. What other explanation can there be?
Mickey: Oh, good, bonnie. Thank you for coming.
Bonnie: Oh, Mickey, hi. I came as soon as I could. What's wrong?
Julie: Well, your son Patrick has stolen Jennifer’s bearer bonds and left town.
Bonnie: He did not. He would never do such a thing.
Julie: Maybe he wouldn't, but I'm sure that you would, so how about it? Did you take them?
Bonnie: I did not come over here to be insulted and accused. First, I'm not a thief, and secondly, I know those were jenny's legacy from her dead grandma, and in my book, that's sacred stuff.
Julie: Oh, come on. Nothing is sacred to you. I saw you ogling those bonds. I'll just bet you stole them, and I'll bet you've got them on you right now.
Bonnie: You want to search me? Come on, have at it. Let's go. Come on, Julie!
Mickey: Hey, girls, stop it.
Jennifer: This is completely out of control. I don't even know what to do now.
Julie: Well, I do. Call the police.
Bonnie: No, wait, wait. Wait. You can't do that.
Rita: Come on, come on!
Trish: Get her.
Marlena: Give me my ring.
Guard: Did you know the guy who gave you this rock is in the visiting area right now waiting to see you?
Marlena: John is here?
Guard: Yeah. Too bad he made this trip for nothing, 'cause I ain't going to let him see you.
Marlena: Yeah, but --
Guard: And in case you forgot, my word is law.
Marlena: Hey. Why did you help me?
Crystal: I know about all of those folks you killed. You're not the kind of person I want as an enemy. So what do you say? Can we be friends?
Hope: Let me ask you something. How would you feel if I were the serial killer?
Shawn-D: Oh. No, no. I am not going to play this "what if" game with you, mom.
Hope: Why not?
Shawn-D: Why? Because this is crazy. There's no way that you'd do anything...
Hope: Would you stop for one second and stop being so selfish and put yourself in Belle's shoes for one second? What if the mother you thought you knew, the mother you had loved and trusted, turned into some kind of monster? What if it was me, Shawn, who killed all of those people that I knew and supposedly loved? And because of that, now I'm being put to death. Look at me. Where would you go for comfort? Your whole world would be a hopeless place, wouldn't it? How could you ever love or trust anyone ever again? It would be hell on earth. That is the hell you have consigned Belle to live in alone because you have abandoned her.
Belle: Thanks again for the sandwiches, Kate. They were delicious.
Kate: Oh, sweetie. Look, I want you to know, Belle, that I am always going to be there for you.
Belle: I've been so emotional lately. I probably just look like a mess right now.
Philip: Oh, come on. You do not look like a mess.
Kate: I tell you what -- you might feel better if you go upstairs and just splash some cold water on your face. What do you think?
Belle: That's a good idea.
Philip: Thanks for tagging along, mom. That actually turned out to be a good idea. I think you put Belle at ease.
Kate: No, no, no, no. That's your influence. She obviously adores and trusts you.
Philip: Okay, here we go again. Do not start.
Kate: What do you mean? What are you talking about? That's just an observation.
Philip: Belle loves Shawn. She always has, and she always will. Now I'm going to go finish cleaning up, okay?
Kate: All good stories must come to an end, and when one story ends, another begins.
John: Son, you tell me you got your eyes wide open where Nicole is concerned, but every time Bo questions her about Victor's death, you are the first one to leap to her defence.
Brady: Because nobody else will. Dad, I realize that Nicole might be guilty, but right now, there is no hard evidence against her. Look, I know Bo is family, but let's be honest here -- can we really trust the Salem P.D.? I mean, think about it. They're not -- they're not trying to figure out the whole story behind what happened to Marlena. They're just happy to -- to sit back and let her fry.
John: Marlena's a victim in all this, Brady. Nicole is no victim, trust me.
Brady: Dad, I'm going to tell you exactly what I told Bo. If Nicole is guilty, I will be the first one to strap her to the table and administer the lethal injection.
John: Wow. Pretty strong words, kid.
Brady: I admire you and I respect you. You know that. But I'm not going to let you sit there and be a hypocrite. Dad, forgive me, but how -- how do you know who the victim is and who isn't? Marlena just confessed to nine murders, yet you are believing the best in her, holding out hope, and you are determined to prove that she's innocent.
John: It's because I love her, son. Can you say that about Nicole? What, do you love her, Brady?
Julie: Why don't you want us to call the police?
Bonnie: Because my boy Patrick ain't here to defend himself, and you're pointing your finger at me and him, and it isn't fair!
Julie: Oh, it is fair. It's called justice. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
Bonnie: I didn't do anything! Mickey, you have to believe me. Now, I know my boy's kind of, well, different. He's kind of a loner and a bit of a drifter, but he's a good boy. He would never do anything. He's not a thief!
Jennifer: Bonnie, we're not saying that he's a thief. But I can't believe that he left without even saying goodbye.
Bonnie: Jennifer, he would never do anything to hurt you. He was so fond of you and Abby.
Mickey: He was? Did you know he was leaving?
Bonnie: Kind of. He stopped by Alice’s on his way out of town.
Jennifer: Did he say where he was headed?
Bonnie: Stop calling me names! Keep your finger out of my face!
Mickey: Listen. Bonnie, listen. When he stopped by to see you, you weren't mildly curious as to where he was going?
Bonnie: That's the thing about my boy. He doesn't make plans, not like normal people. When he hits the open road, he goes where his heart leads him, and there's no telling when he's gonna come back.
Patrick: I hope I catch a ride soon. I need to put as much distance between myself and Jennifer as possible. Damn, it's cold.
Jennifer: Patrick, I don't understand. How can I save this baby?
Patrick: Jennifer, I want you to do me a favour. Hold this coin in the palm of your hand and focus.
Jennifer: That's the coin that Abby showed me, the one that you claim belonged to pirates.
Patrick: Exactly. Now just hold on to this and concentrate.
Jennifer: On what?
Patrick: Think about the love you shared with Jack, the love that created this baby.
Patrick: Trust me. It's called mind over matter. I knew it. You're okay. The baby?
Jennifer: The baby -- the baby's fine. Everything is fine. Patrick, thank you. Thank you so much.
Patrick: Hey, h, hey. It was all you. And maybe a little Jack.
Marlena: Well, I guess we'll get punished, too, for fighting. We'll go to solitary?
Crystal: Hey, we didn't start the fight, so...
Trish: Marlena Evans.
Crystal: It's okay. Don't be intimidated.
Marlena: Yeah. I'm right here.
Trish: Come with me, please.
Brady: I do not love Nicole, dad. That is ridiculous. I love Chloe. You know that.
John: Well, I know you better than you think. After all, you're a chip off the old block, always jumping to rescue the damsel in distress. And she's a beautiful damsel, isn't she? Spend all those months living under the same roof, it's only natural.
Brady: Only natural that I would what, get the hots for my step-grandmother? Please!
John: Strike a nerve?
Brady: Dad, come on! You are way off base here. Am I fond of Nicole? Yes. But only because she's been through hell. She's had it rough in her life.
Brady: Now I don't pretend to know what went on in grandfather and Nicole’s relationship. But what I do know is it was ugly. My grandfather, he made Nicole quit her job. He kept her a virtual prisoner in her own home. He treated his servants better than he treated his own wife.
John: Kind of makes me wonder why Victor forced her to quit her job. She was good at it. In fact, I was thinking about hiring her on at basic black, but Kate wouldn't have stood for that.
Brady: I'm going through a situation right now at titan, and I really don't know how to handle it, you know? I was gonna ask Nicole for her advice on the subject, but she'd already left the hospital.
John: Hmm. I always thought Nicole loved the cutthroat world of business -- maybe a little too much.
Brady: I just want my grandfather's murder to be solved. I want to close the book on the whole damn thing. Maybe then I could focus on my work at titan.
John: I see. So where does the Isabella Toscana black concert hall fit in?
Brady: It's my first priority, of course.
Trish: Brady, I have a surprise for you.
Brady: Hey, Trish, hang on. I just want to introduce you to my dad. This is John Black, Trish Alexander.
John: Hi, Trish.
Trish: Nice to meet you.
John: Nice to meet you.
Trish: There's someone who is here to see you, Mr. Black.
John: Oh, doc.
Julie: Yes, officer Ruiz. I appreciate your concern. Thank you. Thank you. Okay, Salem P.D. is sending a patrol car over here immediately and putting out an all-points bulletin to pick up and question Patrick.
Bonnie: That's just what I didn't want you to do. Thanks, Julie.
Mickey: Listen, bonnie, you've told us that Patrick could headed anywhere and may not come back here ever. Jennifer's bonds are missing. We have no choice.
Jennifer: Bonnie, I'm so sorry.
Julie: This whole thing has given me one colossal headache.
Jennifer: I have aspirin upstairs in my medicine cabinet.
Julie: I have aspirin in my purse.
Bonnie: I hope you both know that my son is completely innocent. He is a good boy! He never would steal anything from you, Jennifer! Oh, you stupid woman! That is my purse! Get your paws out of there!
Julie: Wait a minute! What have we here?
Patrick: [Grunts] Okay. Mind over matter -- that's what I told Jennifer, right? I believe I'll catch a ride with this next car.
Patrick: Oh, yeah, baby, I knew it.
Patrick: Oh, no, the cops.
Hope: Shawn, remember what I said to you, honey? Do the right thing. Don't throw your life away, and don't give up on Belle. Not when she needs you so much.
Philip: Belle, you okay?
Belle: Yeah, come on up.
Philip: You were gone so long my mom and I started to worry a little bit.
Belle: Sorry, Philip. This just hasn't been the best day.
Philip: I know.
Belle: I'm really glad you're here so I don't have to spend it alone.
Philip: Did Shawn get you that?
Belle: Yeah, for Valentine’s Day. His name is bumper.
Philip: Look, Belle, you don't need a toy. You just need a friend, okay? That's why I'm here. Come here.
Belle: He's not coming back, is he, Philip? I am so worried that I have lost Shawn forever.
Shawn-D: What are you doing here?
Kate: Well, I was just about to ask you the same question.
Shawn-D: I'm here to see Belle.
Trish: Glad we were able to give your father some private time with Marlena.
Brady: Yeah, me too. Thank you for arranging this visit. I didn't know you had so much power here.
Trish: I'm the assistant warden of this county corrections facility. I do what I can to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.
Brady: Well, you solved marlena's problem.
Trish: Not really. Things got pretty ugly in lockup earlier. I wasn't there to do crowd control. If it weren't for one of the other inmates coming to her rescue, your stepmother might not be alive right now.
Nicole: [Thinking] But she won't be for long. Crystal's got your back all right, doc. Pretty soon you won't be able to tell a soul that you saw me with Jan spears. Then all my problems will be over.
Crystal: [Thinking] Now that Dr. Evans is my new best friend, things will fall into place pretty fast. Time for phase two of my plan -- kill the psycho bitch. But I'm gonna need some help. Earl.
Earl: What do you want, crystal?
Crystal: I've been watching you shake your booty up and down that hall all day long.
Earl: Yeah? So?
Crystal: So... I'm here to tell you that today's your lucky day.
John: You've got more bruises on your face. What happened?
Marlena: I'm all right.
John: What did they do to you?
Marlena: I don't want to talk about it.
John: I need to hold you right now.
Marlena: I know. I do too.
John: I can't believe what's going on here. This is like -- this is like... some nightmare.
Marlena: This nightmare began a long time ago. I'm still reeling from when you told me that I -- I killed all those people -- our friends -- because I was in love with Roman? That's insane.
John: We are missing something here, something that we don't know, and I'm gonna find out what it is.
Marlena: One thing is certain. I did kill those people, and I -- I have to pay for it.
John: They let you keep your ring? How'd you get it back?
Marlena: I remember the day you gave me my ring. That was the happiest day of my life. A symbol of our love, of our life together. I think it needs to stay with you.
Marlena: Yeah. It'll be safer with you.
John: This -- this has to do with your bruises, doesn't it?
Marlena: John, give it to Belle. Give to Belle and tell her how much I love her, and I -- I wish I could see her sweet little face one more time.
John: Don't say that. No, don't say that, doc. You're gonna see her again. Don't you give up hope, okay? Don't do that.
Marlena: It isn't going to happen. I won't even get to see you again. John, I'm not -- I'm not coming out of here alive.
John: Don't you talk like that. I'm not gonna lose you, doc. Not now. Not ever.
“Next On Days Of Our Lives”
Patrick: I don't mind if we look through my knapsack.
Man: I already looked. No bonds, money, or --
Patrick: Because I didn't take your bonds. You do believe me, don't you?
John: If Shawn isn't man enough to give my baby girl the love and support she needs at this time, you are better off without him.
Nicole: Marlena has to be taken care of tonight.
Brady: What's that about Marlena?
