Bonnie: "Now that you have the millionaire in your sights..." hmm, boy, do I. "Follow the instructions below." Okay. "One -- practice your new signature. Make it real. Take pen and paper and write out your married name." Mrs. Mickey Horton. Bonnie Horton. Missus...

Mickey: I'm looking forward to this.

Bonnie: Me too, cowboy.

Jansen: Is there any one person here who can come up with any one reason why this filly and this buckeroo should not be joined in wedlock?

Julie: [Muffled shouting]

Bonnie: Did you hear something?

Mickey: Not a thing, sweetie pie.

Jansen: In that case, I pronounce you husband and wife.

Mickey: Yeah!

Bonnie: Yeah! Whoo-hoo!

Jansen: Cowgirls and cowboys, I give you Mr. And Mrs. Mickey Horton!

[Horse neighing]

Patrick: "Mrs. Mickey Horton."

Bonnie: Yes...

Patrick: It'll never happen.

Julie: I know. It's so quiet. I just can't believe that grandma isn't in the kitchen, fixing some special treat for us.

Jennifer: I was just thinking the same thing. Oh, gram... I wonder why uncle Mickey called us to meet here.

Mickey: I thought this would be a good time for us to -- to say goodbye to the people we've lost.

Philip: Mom, how are you doing?

Kate: Not so great. Not so great.

Philip: Hearing Marlena confess tonight...

Kate: You know, I-I haven't had very many close friends because I don't trust people, but I really thought Marlena was one of my friends.

Philip: Mom, why don't you drink this? It's herbal.

Kate: She was my therapist. I confided in her about so many difficult times in my life, but she never seemed to judge me. At least I thought that she didn’t. But tonight, to hear -- to hear how much she despises me is --

Philip: I am so sorry.

Kate: She murdered Roman. She murdered him rather than to see him with me.

Philip: I can't even imagine what you're going through, mom. I can’t.

Kate: It's going to be more difficult for John. And the one I'm really worried about is Belle. It's going to be up to you to help her piece the parts of her life back together again.

Shawn-D: Just because I'm leaving doesn't mean that I'm not coming back. Okay? Of course I will.

Belle: When?

Shawn-D: I can't say. Right now I just know I need to get away. I-I've been wrong about so many things. I accused the wrong people, I couldn't save gran... and I hurt you. I can't trust myself anymore, and I'm just asking for time. That's it. Salem is my home. My future is here.

Belle: Does that future still include me?

Bo: Come on, Marlena, one last question, and I will leave you alone. Do you know who killed Victor?

Marlena: I...remember.

Bo: You remember what?

Marlena: Seeing them.

Bo: Seeing -- did you see the person who killed Victor? Is that what you're telling me? Come on, Marlena. Answer me.

Marlena: Yes, I... I know who it was.

John: Go on. Tell him, doc. Just -- just tell him.

Marlena: It's -- it's right on the tip of my tongue.

Lexie: The truth serum's wearing off. It'll be out of her system soon.

Bo: Come on, Marlena, think.

Bo: It was her, wasn't it? Nicole is the one who killed my father.

Shawn-D: I... I can't make any promises about the future.

Belle: But you said that you still love me.

Shawn-D: I do.

Belle: Shawn, you are my other half, and I am so afraid that I can't get through this on my own. My mom could be sentenced to death.

Shawn-D: This is killing me that I... I have to leave because I am no good to you right now. I am -- I am no good to anyone.

Belle: Is there anything I can say or do that would make you stay?

Nicole: You're hurting me.

Bo: It's nothing compared to what you did to my father.

Hope: Bo.

Judge: Commander Brady.

Bo: Marlena, answer the question. You were about to tell us. Is Nicole the one who killed Victor?

Jan: Dr. Evans. What are you doing here?

Marlena: My daughter lives in this building, Jan. What are you doing here? And what are you doing... with her?

Marlena: I can't quite remember.

Nicole: Get your mitts off me.

Hope: Marlena, come on, try again, concentrate.

John: What did you see, sweetheart?

Marlena: Nicole's face keeps coming up, but I don't know why.

Brady: It's because she's guilty.

Bonnie: Give me that.

Patrick: You know, just because Mr. Horton agreed to let you run this place, that doesn't mean he's going to waltz you down the aisle.

Bonnie: And how do you know, Mr. Smarty-pants?

Patrick: [Whistles] "How to marry a millionaire in 90 days."

Bonnie: Or less.

Patrick: I can't believe that a con artist like yourself would plunk down good money for this.

Bonnie: I'll have you know this is written by a Ph.D.

Patrick: Oh, yeah? In what, marriage scams?

Bonnie: I am not scamming Mickey Horton. I have genuine feelings for the man.

Patrick: Please. All you can see are dollar signs.

Bonnie: At first, maybe. But then I got to see what a sweetie pie he was -- a real gent. He gets a twinkle in his eye every time he looks at me.

Patrick: Probably indigestion from eating your food.

Bonnie: Patrick, I have waited all my life for a good man. I've kissed a lot of frogs, you know, and not one of them turned out to be a prince. But Mickey is the real deal. He's as good as they come. And who knows? Maybe his goodness is starting to rub off on me.

Patrick: Well, what does his niece Julie have to say about all this?

Bonnie: Nothing. I don't let that busybody interfere with my may-December romance.

Patrick: May-December. May has come and gone for you, mom. It's September already.

Bonnie: Don't be mean.'s Mickey’s other niece doing?

Patrick: Which one?

Bonnie: You know darn well which one -- Jennifer Deveraux.

Patrick: There's nothing going on between us, mom.

Bonnie: Not yet.

Patrick: Do you ever give up?

Bonnie: No. Not when I sense the kind of potential I sense between the two of you.

Patrick: She's a woman in mourning. She's pregnant with her dead husband's child.

Bonnie: I think she's smitten with you.

Patrick: In your dreams.

Bonnie: That's where it all begins pun'kin.

Patrick: Believe me, Jennifer and I are not destined to be a couple. Not ever.

Bonnie: Why not?

Patrick: Because I'm leaving tonight.

Mickey: We've been through a terrible ordeal, and I wanted our whole family to be here -- hope and Lucas and -- but that was impossible. So we know now how our loved ones died. And we needed to know that. All of it. But those are not the memories that we should hold in our hearts. So tonight I want to pay -- pay tribute to them and celebrate their lives.

Julie: Oh, uncle Mickey, bless you.

Mickey: And you know what? I brought some of my father's favourite Irish whiskey, and I brought apple juice for you, Jennifer. Ha ha ha. And I want to make a toast to Jack and to Maggie and Doug and to mom and give them a fitting send off.

Julie: Like grandpa tom used to do.

Mickey: Mm-hmm.

Jennifer: Why don't I, uh, get some glasses, okay?

Mickey: All right.

Julie: Well, without these family traditions, I just don't know -- I just don't know what I'd do.

Mickey: I know. We've lost so many friends and family. And I'm afraid we've lost Marlena, too.

Julie: I hope Marlena rots in hell, and I do not care what my church teaches. I'm never going to forgive her.

Mickey: Julie, please, don't -- we can't --

Jennifer: All right, here we go.

Mickey: Oh, look, perfect.

Jennifer: Gram's good glasses.

Mickey: Perfect.

Jennifer: There you are.

Mickey: Julie, that's for you. There you go.

Julie: If only I hadn't called Marlena up. If only I hadn't told her that Doug knew the identity of the killer, my husband and my grandmother would still be alive.

Jennifer: Oh, Julie.

Julie: Oh, I know Marlena did the killing, but I was just a fool to trust her. It's really my fault that they're dead. I'm never going to be able to forgive myself. Grandma.

Bonnie: You can't leave town. You just got here.

Patrick: What can I tell you, ma? You raised a gypsy.

Bonnie: But I was hoping that you would settle down here permanently.

Patrick: Nah, not possible.

Bonnie: What about your precious baby sister Mimi? She misses you so much.

Patrick: I missed her, too. But she's a big girl now. She's got a guy of her own. That is, if you don't get in the way.

Bonnie: What about Connor? He barely knows you. The little tadpole could use a big brother right now.

Patrick: When did you suddenly become all warm and fuzzy and full of family values?

Bonnie: People change.

Patrick: Not you, bonnie.

Bonnie: Wait. Wait. Even if you don't want to romance Jennifer, you could still carve out a piece of the pie right here. You could help me with the bar.

Patrick: Gee, thanks, but -- but no.

Bonnie: Who knows? Maybe one day I'll ask you to give me away at the altar.

Patrick: "Mrs. Mickey Horton."

Bonnie: Has a nice ring to it, don't it?

Patrick: What's this?

Bonnie: What's what?

Patrick: I don't believe it. You really are planning on stealing Jennifer Deveraux's bonds, aren't you?

Philip: Let's get some more.

Kate: Thanks.

Philip: Mom, whenever I'm not on duty, I will be here for Belle, but I don't want to push. She's got a lot on her plate right now, not just with her mom, but --

Kate: But with Shawn?

Philip: She overheard him telling his mom he's leaving Salem.

Kate: Well, did he say why?

Philip: To clear his head. But Belle thinks he's leaving because of her, because of the lie she told him to give her own mother an alibi.

Kate: Oh. That poor girl.

Philip: Well, the way I see it, Shawn’s fooling himself. Because if it turns out her mother wasn't guilty, he'd get over it, but his great-grandmother would still be dead and she still would've lied to him.

Kate: I see, so in other words, it's not the lie he's having trouble with, it's Marlena.

Philip: Yeah, well, he's furious with her just like the rest of us are. But unlike the rest of us, he's blaming Belle, and that's not fair.

Kate: Well, if Shawn’s leaving town, I don't see what kind of future they're going to have.

Philip: Well, sometimes, neither do I.

Kate: You know what? I think this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a move.

Shawn-D: I'm not deserting -- okay, well, I-I am. Look, I just -- I need to go and find me.

Belle: Can't you do that in Salem? Look, Shawn, I promise I will leave you alone. I won't bother you. I won't even knock on your door. It's just knowing that you're going to be so close to me...

Shawn-D: Don't you think that it's going to be harder for both of us?

Belle: I ruined everything, didn't I, when I lied to you about being my mom's alibi?

Shawn-D: No. No, don't -- don't do this to yourself.

Belle: You're right. Shawn, we have been over this a hundred times, and we always end up in the same place.

Shawn-D: It isn't about us, okay? This is about me, and I realize that is a very selfish thing, but I am at the end of my rope right now. This is just something I have to do.

Belle: Okay.

Shawn-D: Really?

Belle: Maybe I'm the one that's being selfish. Maybe you should go. I just -- I want to be here for you and to hold you, especially with the loss of your family. But if I am not the one who's supposed to do that --

Shawn-D: No, maybe you are when I come back. But until then... you know, you can pick up the phone or you can e-mail --

Belle: No, Shawn, you've already said over and over again you need some space.

Shawn-D: But if you really need to talk, come on, please, you can always call me.

Belle: Wait. I don't want you to leave without a kiss.

Bo: Brady, is there something you haven't told me? Do you have proof that Nicole murdered your grandfather?

Brady: Of course not. But ever since the killings began, Nicole has been at the top of your suspect list. And everyone's been pointing the finger at her without any concrete proof.

Hope: Get to the point.

Brady: Marlena hit her head when she fell from the penthouse terrace.

Bo: Oh, great, so now you're her doctor?

Brady: I think Marlena has been fixating on Nicole because you keep telling her to.

Lexie: Well, actually, Brady may have a point, Bo.

Bo: You're not off the hook yet. Marlena, you said you saw "them." Was Nicole with someone? Who was that person?

Marlena: It's a blur. I-I can't -- I can't remember.

Judge: Is Dr. Evans out from under the effects of the truth serum?

Lexie: Her heart rate is back to normal, so the effects of the drug are clearly wearing off.

Judge: Well, if we can't rely on the action of the serum at this point, we're outta here.

Nicole: Ah, finally.

Brady: Nicole.

Nicole: Brady, thank you for standing up for me. I thought those piranhas in there were going to have me for lunch.

Brady: Just because there's no concrete proof of your guilt doesn't mean you're innocent.

Judge: This is your typed confession of the serial killings you previously indicated you're prepared to sign.

John: Don't do it.

Bo: Oh, come on, John, she's confessed.

Marlena: I will sign. As soon as my husband tells me what I did and why.

Julie: Can you smell grandma's fragrance?

Jennifer: Lavender?

Julie: I feel her presence.

Mickey: Hmm. Mother's all around us, and I think she would want you to know, Julie, that none of this is your fault.

Jennifer: Absolutely.

Mickey: You confided in Marlena because you thought you could trust her. You couldn't have possibly have known that she was the Salem stalker.

Julie: I always loved Marlena. From the day I found out that she was the suspect, I've felt nothing but rage towards her. Until now. She must've been so troubled to have killed, and especially to have killed my grandmother.

Alice: One day, you'll find forgiveness.

Mickey: Time heals all wounds. And as our grief grows less raw with every passing day, I hope that we can think less about what we've lost and more about what we were and how blessed we've been. So... a toast... to the family.

Mickey: To Jack... and Maggie... and Doug and mom. And none of you was born a Horton. You chose to, uh, marry into this clan, and tonight, we just -- we want to salute you and tell you that we're going to be okay. And despite these -- these terrible partings, the Horton family is still on its feet. And, by God, no one and nothing is going to come between us.

Alice: Amen.

Patrick: I see you've been busy, figuring out how much Jennifer’s bonds are worth.

Bonnie: I can explain.

Patrick: Oh, yeah. Bearer bonds are "as good as cash" as you were so quick to tell me. You even figured out the interest on 500k after it somehow mysteriously ends up in your bank account.

Bonnie: How would you know how much those bonds are worth? Unless... you were planning on stealing them yourself.

Patrick: Wrong.

Bonnie: 'Fess up, Patrick.

Patrick: I would never do anything to hurt Jennifer or Abby. And I would never embarrass Mimi and Connor. I told you, I'm done with that life.

Bonnie: Oh. can change, but I can't?

Patrick: You said it.

Bonnie: Mm-hmm. And you would never embarrass this family, but I would?

Patrick: Repeatedly.

Bonnie: Okay, look, all right, maybe I wasn't the best mother in the world, but I always loved my children, especially you, my first-born beautiful boy.

Patrick: Goodbye, mom.

Bonnie: No, please, please. I want you to stay in Salem. I want you to get to know Jennifer. A girl like that -- she could turn your life around, like Mickey’s turned my life around.

Patrick: Oh, brother.

Bonnie: As you so sweetly put a few minutes ago, I'm not in the spring of my life anymore. I'm in the fall. I want grandchildren, and Jennifer’s pregnant.

Patrick: With Jack's child.

Bonnie: So what? You could help her raise it. And then maybe have a few of your own. Tell you what. Mickey and I will baby-sit for free.

Patrick: Ha ha ha ha.

Bonnie: Stop that.

Patrick: That's a nice try. But it's time for me to hit the road. I'm late for my next adventure.

Bonnie: Now, what adventure would that be, huh? Magic Mountain? Hooters? I want you to tell me the truth right now, son. Are you in some kind of trouble?

Patrick: I'll be in touch.

[Cellular phone rings]

Patrick: Yeah. No way. I'm heading out of town. I told you, I'm leaving Salem. I just have one stop to make before I go.

Bonnie: Why is he in such a hurry? Oh, no, you don’t.

Philip: Mom, what is that?

Kate: What's what?

Philip: On your cheek. What is that?

Kate: Oh. Probably where Sami dug her talons into me. That girl is lethal. She's lethal just like her mother.

Philip: Of course, mom, you realize that Belle is marlena's daughter, too, right?

Kate: You know, we have been over this before. Belle is different from her sister, and ever since she started to work at basic black for us, I've got to know her even better. She's so smart. She is so talented. You can depend on her, not like her deadbeat older sister.

Philip: Mom, believe me, if you're trying to convince me how wonderful Belle is, you don't need to.

Kate: Well, apparently, I do.

Philip: Mom, you want me to just walk in and poach Shawn’s girlfriend, and I won't do it.

Kate: Who is saying anything about poaching? Philip, I just want you to be open. I want you to honour your feelings. Come on, I know how deeply you feel about Belle. I just wish you wouldn't be so self-sacrificing, especially when Shawn seems hell-bent on dumping her.

Philip: Mom, this isn't even about me. You're upset about Sami and Lucas.

Kate: No, please, don’t. Don't even go there, okay? This is about you. I love you, you're my son, and I want you to be happy. But I also -- I also care very much about Belle. So all I'm asking you to do is watch over her, especially if Shawn’s going to be awol, and then we'll, um, we'll see what develops, huh?

Shawn-D: I do love you. One day you're going to understand why I'm doing this.

Belle: I hope so.

Shawn-D: Um, here, you should, um, you should hold onto this until I get...back. I-I'm not --

Belle: No. I don't want you to give me that back.

Shawn-D: It just doesn't feel right to be wearing it.

Belle: Okay. Um, just put it in your pocket.

Shawn-D: You sure?

Belle: Yeah. Only when you give me that ring back will I truly believe our relationship's over.

Nicole: You heard your stepmother confess to nine -- count them, nine -- killings, Brady. You know, if you're so in love with this accomplice theory, who's to say that the accomplice wasn't marlena's?

Brady: I think it's perfectly clear, Nicole, that Marlena was acting all by herself.

Nicole: Oh, so therefore, it had to be me.

Brady: I'm reserving judgment.

Nicole: How could you --

Brady: At least until after my grandfather's murderer is caught.

Nicole: Brady, how could you be so detached all of a sudden?

Brady: I'm just trying to be fair.

Nicole: Aren't you human? Don't you even have an opinion?

Brady: I would like to believe that you're innocent, Nicole, but I still have a lot of unanswered questions. Is there anything that I ought to know?

John: Doc... you don't remember what you just told us?

Marlena: No. I really confessed?

John: Lexie, what the hell's going on here? Why can't she remember?

Lexie: She's had transient memory loss ever since her fall.

Marlena: Will somebody please tell me what I said?

John: Judge Fitzpatrick, may I please have a moment alone with my wife?

Judge: I'll allow it.

Hope: Bo, come on. Come on, come on.

Bo: The woman's a serial killer. She doesn't deserve special treatment.

Hope: Well, you know what? John does.

Bo: Yeah, right.

Marlena: I -- I killed all these people? Did I say why?

John: Well, you said that you did it because... you're still in love with Roman.

Mickey: And may your love continue to fill our hearts through all the remaining days of our lives.

Julie: Hear, hear.

Jennifer: Yes, indeed.

Julie: Thank you for an inspiring toast.

Mickey: Thank you two for joining me.

Julie: Oh, of course, uncle Mickey.

Mickey: I just couldn't leave things the way they were at that hospital.

Jennifer: I-I'm sorry to rush out. I do need to get home, though.

Julie: Oh, yes, and you need to get off your feet. I'll drive you, darling.

Jennifer: Okay.

Mickey: Jennifer?

Jennifer: Mm?

Mickey: Are you sure you put those bearer bonds in a safe place, hmm?

Jennifer: Yeah, yeah. The house is -- is locked up tight, uncle Mickey.

Mickey: Good.

Nicole: I wish I had some kind of clue for you, Brady, but I don’t. Sorry.

Brady: I have to go call titan.

Judge: I was surprised when Dr. Evans suddenly couldn't remember anything more about the kiriakis murder. Is it normal for sodium pentothal to leave a person's system so quickly?

Lexie: Yeah. The drug is rapidly absorbed by the brain.

Judge: Oh. Well, then there's the matter of the female prisoner. Is it possible to give Dr. Evans another dose of the serum? I mean, after she's had time to rest, of course.

Lexie: Well, sure, but if we're lucky, the information may resurface on its own.

Judge: Oh.

Lexie: Yeah, let me tell you...

Judge: Okay. How would that work?

Nicole: [Thinking] No way can Marlena rat me out with spears. I know somebody who can make sure she doesn't remember a thing.

Brady: Where the hell did you go, Nicole?

Marlena: John, I said I killed all those people... because I l-loved Roman?

John: Yep. Starting with Abraham. You said that he knew of your feelings, and he wasn’t about to let you break up Kate and Roman, so you walked us step by step through each and every one of the murders, insisting that if you couldn't have Roman, no one could.

Marlena: That doesn't make any sense. Yes, I-I loved Roman at one time... but now it's only you. You're the man that I've loved all these years.

John: I know that.

Marlena: Why would I lie? And why would I lie under a truth serum?

John: Something's not adding up here.

Bo: It's time.

Jennifer: All right. Thank you for giving me a ride home, Julie.

Julie: Oh, sure, darling.

Jennifer: Would you like to stay and have some tea?

Julie: Only if you let me make the tea and you sit down.

Jennifer: Oh, all right. I won't argue with that.

Julie: Now, where are your prenatal vitamins?

Jennifer: Uh, oh, they're right on the counter by the sink.

Julie: Okay. Now, you find a nice safe place to put those bearer bonds. Remember, uncle Mickey said locking the house was not enough.

Jennifer: Oh, no!

Julie: What?

Jennifer: The bonds -- they're gone.

Philip: Did I put in enough sugar?

Kate: I don't know. Everything tastes like ashes to me.

Philip: Mom, I know it feels like your future's been torn away with Roman and cassie...

Kate: And Lucas. He's as good as dead as he -- if he insists on shacking up with Sami. And Billie- I don't think she's ever going to come back to Salem. Sami chased Austin out of town, too. You -- you are my only hope.

Philip: Mom, listen. As much as I love you and want to see you happy, I cannot do what you're asking me to do. I cannot take advantage of Belle when she's so confused, and I won’t. I can only be there for her as a friend. In fact, I should probably go check up on her right now.

Kate: Sweetie, thank you for the tea. Thank you for taking care of me. I know I'm not -- I'm not in a very good state of mind right now, so I really appreciate it.

Philip: I'll call you later.

Kate: Okay.

Philip: Okay

Kate: Oh, it doesn't matter how much you protest. I am not going to let you throw your life away like Lucas, because Belle is perfect for you, and somebody in our family is going to live happily ever after.

Shawn-D: Okay. I have to go. I-I --

Belle: I love you so much.

Shawn-D: I love you, too. Just know that we will be together one day. Just have faith, okay?

Belle: Please take care of yourself, Shawn, and come back to me, okay?

Shawn-D: Okay.

[Cellular phone rings]

Belle: Hello?

Philip: Are you okay?

Belle: No, Philip. I need you.

Judge: Dr. Evans? Have you signed those confessions?

Marlena: Not yet.

John: Don't do it yet.

Marlena: I said I would. I gave my word.

Bo: Okay. Let's go.

John: I love you, doc.

Marlena: I love you. I just love you.

Brady: Hey, dad. Dad, I'm so sorry.

John: Something's not right here, kid.

Brady: What?

John: Everything. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let her die in prison.

Nicole: Think I had forgotten about you, crys?

Crystal: What do you want, Nicole?

Nicole: Dr. Evans is returning to lockup tonight.

Crystal: You're kidding.

Nicole: And I am still prepared to make good on my promise -- set you up with a brand-new life and the cash to enjoy it, reunite you with your little girl.

Crystal: What do you want me to do?

Nicole: Finish the job. Kill Marlena tonight. Do we have a deal, girlfriend? What do you say?

Brady: Marlena just confessed and you are determined to prove that she's innocent.

John: It's 'cause I love her, son. Can you say that about Nicole? What, do you love her, Brady?

Rita: That's for Tina.

[Women laughing]

Marlena: You're going to be sorry you did that.

Shawn-D: I already told her goodbye. It's over, mom. Belle's history.

Belle: He's not coming back. I've lost Shawn forever.
