Jan: I can't wait to get you in our little love nest, Shawn. You're finally going to see what you've been missing.

Nicole: Jan, there's only one problem.

Jan: What?

Nicole: How are you going to get him here? Okay, wait. Make that two problems. 'Cause even if you could, how is holding Shawn hostage going to make him fall in love with you?

Jan: Trust me. It'll happen.

Nicole: If you believe that, you're even crazier than I thought.

Jan: I am crazy -- for Shawn. My future prisoner of love.

[Knock on door]

Shawn-D: Who is it?

Hope: Hi, honey. It's mom and dad.

Shawn-D: Hold on one second. Hi -- I thought you'd already be on your way to the funeral.

Hope: We were, but we thought we'd stop by and see if maybe you wanted to ride with us, honey.

Bo: Your mom's worried about you.

Hope: What's with all the boxes? Is Rex moving out?

Shawn-D: No. I am.

Bo: What?

Shawn-D: Yeah, yeah. I decided I'm leaving Salem.

Mimi: Bel.....

Belle: God, I just can't believe my Mom's a serial killer.

Mimi: It has to be some mistake.

Belle: Yeah.

Mimi: Here, have some tea.

Belle: No.

Mimi: Belle, you haven't eaten, you haven't slept. We can't have you passing out at the funeral.

Belle: I'm not going to the funeral. Shawn doesn't want me there, Mimi, and I don't blame him. I am the one that's responsible for his great-grandmother's death.

Julie: Oh, God. My darling Doug. And Grandma.

Jennifer: Last night... I had a dream that gram was here... that she came to her own funeral.

Julie: Jennifer, did she speak to you? Did -- did she tell you Marlena killed her and Doug?

Lexie: Mom. Mom, what are you doing here?

Celeste: Oh, Alexandra, could it be I was wrong about Marlena, darling? What if she's not innocent? What if she truly is the killer and she's planning to kill again?

Marlena: John, it's a mistake. They're making a terrible mistake.

John: I need to talk to you, Doc, ask you a few questions -- just you and me.

Marlena: That won't change anything. I didn't do this. John, I'm innocent.

John: Then why'd you confess to me? Before you fell off the terrace, why did you look me right in the eye and tell me that you were the serial killer? The truth, Doc. If I hadn't stopped you, would I have been your next victim?

Celeste: Oh, darling, if I was wrong, and if Marlena was to ever get free and kill again, Alexandra, I'd never forgive myself.

Lexie: Okay. You don't have to worry about this, Mom, because as soon as Marlena recovers from her injuries, she is going straight to jail, and if she's the killer, she is sure to get the death penalty.

John: Answer me. If I hadn't have stopped you, would you have killed me?

Marlena: Oh, John.

John: I was the only one who could put you in jail at the time. You confessed to me --

Marlena: I don't remember confessing. I don't re-- I don't remember holding you at gunpoint. I don't remember any of it. Okay. What happens now?

John: Well... I hate to say this, Doc, but... if we can't find some way prove your innocence... you could be sent to death row.

Mimi: Belle, we both know your mom can't be guilty, right? So how can it possibly be your fault that Shawn's great-grandmother was killed?

Belle: Mimi, if I walk into that funeral today, everyone's going to t thinking that I am the daughter of the serial killer. They all know I lied to Shawn to give my Mom an alibi for his Grandpa Doug's murder, and they're going to be thinking that if I hadn't done that, Alice Horton might still be alive, and there's a chance that's true. I cannot go to the funeral today and face Shawn. I don't know if I'm ever going to be able to face him again.

Bo: What are you talking about, leaving Salem?

Shawn-D: I'm thinking about maybe joining the Merchant Marine like you did when you were my age.

Hope: You're not serious.

Shawn-D: I don't know yet, but whatever I decide, I'm leaving today, right after the funeral.

Hope: Shawn, don't do this. Now is not the time to be without your family. Isn't that right, Bo?

Bo: Yeah, on the one hand. But on the other...

Hope: On the other hand, what?

Bo: I understand what he's going through. Maybe leaving Salem is the best thing for him right now.

Hope: How can you say that? You're encouraging him to leave town?

Bo: I don't want him to leave any more than you do. But he's a grown man. If he wants to go, I think he should have our blessing.

Shawn-D: Thanks, Dad. I knew you'd understand. I'm gonna go get ready for the funeral.

Hope: He may have your blessing, but he doesn't have mine, and I'm going to put a stop to this right now.

Jennifer: No, Julie. In my dream, Gram didn't name her killer. She didn't even mention Marlena.

Alice: I'm here to tell you that you mustn't be sad or frightened. You must lean on each other and love each other, just as we always have. And above all, have faith, because happier days lie ahead.

Mickey: Sounds just like something Mom would say.

Julie: After Doug died, I thought the only way I'll make it through this day is to have Gran to lean on, and now... she was the heart and soul of this family.

Jennifer: I know. And I just -- I can't imagine the person that I would've become if I had stayed in boarding school and didn't come here and live with Gram and Grandpa.

Alice: Jennifer, darling, that's something else you'll have to learn.

Jennifer: What?

Alice: That grandmothers are the most understanding people in the world, and if I don't understand, I'll try. I'll listen to you. You can count on that. And you can count on that from every other member of your family. 'Cause we Hortons stick together.

Jennifer: But now... now Gram's gone.

Jennifer: And the really sad part is, is that she will never see her new great-grandchild.

Mickey: Yes, she will, Jennifer.

John: You know, Sami is convinced that I am the killer, programmed by Stefano, and that I am just trying to frame you for all the murders that I committed. But you don't believe that, do you?

Marlena: No. I don't. And I wish you had the same faith in me.

John: I haven't given up on you, doc, because I just can't believe that you could be a cold-blooded murderer. And I'm going to get to the bottom of this. That is my promise to you.

Marlena: That almost gives me hope because you will see that I'm telling the truth.

John: I love you, baby.

Marlena: John. Would you please do one thing for me?

John: What's that?

Marlena: I need to say goodbye to Alice and Doug. Could you take me to the funeral?

Lexie: Over my dead body.

Belle: Mimi, there's just no way I could face Shawn and his family. [Knock on door]

Mimi: Hmm. Mrs. Brady, hi.

Hope: Hi, Mimi. Is Belle here?

Mimi: Yeah, she's right here. Come in.

Hope: Thanks.

Belle: Hi.

Hope: Hi, sweetie. I was, uh, just in the neighborhood and was wondering if we could talk.

Belle: Sure.

Mimi: I'm just going to go change.

Belle: Okay. Hope, again, I'm really sorry about your grandmother.

Hope: Honey, I know you are. But that's not why I'm here. I don't blame you.

Belle: Thanks. I just really wish Shawn felt that way, too.

Hope: Why aren't you dressed for the funeral?

Belle: Oh, um, I'm not going. I just don t think it's appropriate.

Hope: Honey, that is ridiculous. Gran adored you. You know that. But most of all, you need to be there for Shawn. Despite what you might think, he needs you.

Belle: Hope, Shawn came right out and told me that if I hadn't lied --

Hope: Belle, Shawn is not himself right now. Whatever you might think, whatever he said was out of anger and grief at the situation, not at you. And believe me, he'll realize that soon enough. But only if you don't give up on him.

Belle: I don't want to, but I don't know what else to do.

Hope: Do you want a future with my son? Belle, you're going to have to fight for him.

Shawn-D: You don't have to do that.

Bo: You do understand I'm not saying I want you to leave, right?

Shawn-D: I know, Dad. This is just something I have to figure out on my own.

Bo: All right. In that case, here.

Shawn-D: No way. Your motorcycle?

Bo: Yeah. I remember the day I rode out of this town, the feeling of freedom I had, leaving all the bad stuff in the dust. Not that all my experiences out there were good ones. Far from it. But it helped me figure out who I am. Maybe the same thing will be true for you.

Shawn-D: Thanks, Dad, for your support. For everything.

Bo: If you change your mind, that fine. You can hang around, think about it...

Shawn-D: No, no, if I'm leaving, I gotta leave today right after the funeral.

Hope: Shawn, no. I won't let you do this.

Nicole: Jan, Shawn's just not going to walk into some overgrown hamster cage and start making mad passionate love to you.

Jan: Maybe not at first.

Nicole: How long is it going to take, Jan, huh? Don't you think Shawn will be missed? His family will be looking for him.

Jan: Well, they won't be looking here. You know what? I have to go. I'm going to be late for the funeral.

Nicole: Whoa, whoa, whoa, what? Funeral? Are you freaking crazy? There will be cops swarming all over the place. What if they see you? Have you forgotten that you murdered Victor?

Jan: When are you going to learn, Nicole? When it comes to getting my man, nothing or no one stands in my way.

Lexie: How dare you? I am still horrified that you had the gall to go to Abe and Jack and Maggie's funeral, and all your other victims. I think of you sitting there crying your fake tears --

Marlena: My heart was breaking for all the victims. Lexie, I swear. I didn't kill them.

Lexie: Well, we'll just leave that for a jury to decide, hmm? John, uh, if you wouldn't mind, I need to examine Marlena. Would you wait outside, please? John, I can assure you Marlena is safe with me.

John: I'll be right outside.

John: Celeste, I need to talk to you.

Celeste: Yes?

John: You know, last night when you held Marlena's hand to try to pick up on a vibe or something like that, you came away with a feeling that she was innocent.

Celeste: Yes.

John: Do you still feel that way right now?

Celeste: All I can say, John, is it seemed so at the time, you know?

John: I wonder if she has convinced herself. How about this one is it possible that what you were picking up on last night was her belief in her innocence?

Marlena: Lexie -- Lexie. I need to find some way to convince you. Lexie, I swear to you, I didn't kill Abe. I didn't kill any of them. Lexie, please. Please. I need to go to the funeral. I need to pay my respects to people I loved so much. Please!

Lexie: Or... maybe what you need is to get out of here so you can kill again. Hmm? Is that what you're really up to, Marlena?

Zach: Come on, give it another try.

Shawn-D: Mom, I just need some time on my own. I just want to ride off on Dad's bike and --

Hope: Wait, wait, whoa, whoa. Back up. Your dad's bike?

Shawn-D: Yeah.

Hope: Is that what you said?

Shawn-D: Yeah. He offered.

Hope: Bo, you didn't. Your motorcycle?

Shawn-D: I'll be safe, Mom. He knows that.

Hope: Yeah, you'll be careful.

Shawn-D: Mom, just please try to understand, okay? I need to do this. I need to try and experience life outside of Salem. I think it's important. And I think Gran would, too.

Hope: What makes you so sure?

Shawn-D: Just something that she said to me after Uncle Roman's funeral.

Hope: Your Great-Gran was a very wise woman, honey. But if she were here right now, I don't think she'd be telling you to go off on your own, especially not without talking to Belle first.

Shawn-D: You know, I need to finish getting ready so we're not late.

Lexie: You're in no condition to go to that funeral or anywhere else.

Marlena: Lexie, I know my rights as a patient. I can sign myself out of here against my doctor's orders.

Lexie: Are you forgetting you're officially under arrest? There's a guard right outside that door. If you think you're just going to walk out of here, you're wrong. [Door opens]

John: How is she?

Lexie: I'm afraid Marlena's not up for going anywhere.

John: Of course you're speaking as her physician.

Lexie: Of course. She needs to build up her strength. And Lord knows she is going to need it to make it through her first night at the prison.

John: Ah...

Marlena: Prison?

John: Hey, hey.

Marlena: I can't go to prison. John, I can't do that. I-I can't do that. I've got to find a way to prove my innocence. John, you've got to help me.

Nicole: What the hell?

Jan: Duh! [Old lady voice] It's so I won't be recognized at the funeral.

Nicole: Oh, yeah, you blend right in.

Jan: You know what? I can't take any more of your negative energy. What I need to focus on right now is kidnapping Shawn and getting him to love me. And not you, Belle, or anyone else is going to stop me.

Nicole: Hey, no -- wait a minute! Jan, this is rid-- uhh! [Door slams]

Hope: Julie.

Mickey: Hi, dear.

Hope: You're not going to talk to her?

Shawn-D: I can't.

Hope: Honey, don't you think you should at least tell her that you're planning on leaving Salem?

Jansen: We're ready to begin the service if you are.

Mickey: All right, Father, we'll take our seats.

Hope: Maybe you'll change your mind about all this after the funeral.

Shawn-D: I doubt that.

Belle: Mimi, this doesn't feel right. I don't think I should be here.

Mimi: Yes, you should be. Look. Philip.

Philip: Hey, Belle, Meems.

Mimi: Hey.

Belle: I didn't know you were going to be here.

Philip: Well, I wanted to make sure you were all right. Why aren't you sitting with Shawn?

Belle: Because he's with his family, and I don't think he's too thrilled that I'm here.

Philip: You belong here as much as anyone, Belle.

Mimi: That's what I keep telling her.

Philip: Can I sit with you?

Belle: I'd like that.

Abby: What's Belle doing here? Her mother's the killer. John, I need to go to the funeral.

John: I don't think that's possible. Besides, Lexie just said that you're not really up for it.

Marlena: I can do that. I can do it. Just get the hospital release forms for me, and I'll sign myself out.

John: Even if I did that, the police would not let you just walk out of here.

Marlena: You can make them. You could have them release me into your custody.

John: I don't know. You know, Doc, I just keep thinking about Doug and Alice, our family and -- and friends, and... they are all convinced that you are the killer.

Marlena: But I'm not! John, I have to go. I have to say goodbye and pay my respects to people that I loved so much. Please! Please! [Sobbing] Please! Please, will you help me? Please, won't you take me?

Kate: I promise you, Roman, your murderer will not be buried next to you. I'll see to that.

Celeste: We mustn't be so quick to judge our friend. No one knows for certain if she's guilty or innocent, Kate -- perhaps not even Marlena herself. But the dead know, yes? And I am hoping that today they will at last give up their secrets.

Jennifer: Abby, you listen to me. Belle has every right to be here. She is not responsible for what her mother has done -- or allegedly done. And you remember that everybody is innocent until they are proven guilty. Do you understand me?

Belle: Um, I think I should go.

Philip: No, Belle, stop. No one blames you for what happened.

Belle: Shawn does. God, Philip, he won't even look at me.

Mimi: Belle, he's upset right now. He's grieving. He's going to come around, though, I promise. In the meantime, you need to be with him and show him you're still there, right, Philip?

Philip: Right.

Shawn-D: I can't believe she showed up. Does she really think that I wanted her here?

Hope: Don't you think you're being a little harsh?

Shawn-D: Sorry. I can't help it. Just...every time I look at her, I remember.

Hope: Honey, do you plan on avoiding her for the rest of your life?

Shawn-D: Let's just say I'm more convinced now than ever that getting out of this town is the right thing to do.

Shawn-D: Gran and Grandpa had a lot of friends that I didn't know, like that woman there. Do you know who she is?

Hope: No, I have no idea.

Jansen: Friends and family, we have gathered here to praise God and to witness to our faith as we celebrate the lives of Alice Horton and Douglas Williams.

Bo: At first Doug and I didn't -- well, we didn't get along so well. But what finally brought us together was the deep love that we both shared for his daughter, my wife Hope.

Bo: I'm going to miss you, Doug. I will miss you, too, Mrs. H. God knows, she was always there for all of us.

Alice: I don't believe in breaking the law. I've never believed in breaking the law. If a law is wrong, then you work very hard to change it. But I don't know. This is different. It's -- there's something wrong. Roman is innocent. He didn't kill anybody, and there's some maniac out there murdering people. Roman is the best detective in the Salem Police Department. He's got to be free so he can help stop these killings.

Bo: I'm glad you agree with me on this.

Alice: Give me the stuff.

Bo: Okay. Ahem.

Alice: Is that all we need?

Bo: Yeah, just enough. Just enough to be dangerous.

Bo: Go ahead. Whew.

Alice: All right. Now I start the doughnuts. You stir.

Bo: Thank you, Mrs. H., for being one of the few people who never judged me, and for making me a better person.

Hope: Because when my Mother died, I was very young, and my grandmother, along with my Dad and Julie, helped raise me. Not that that was always such an easy task. But I don't think there's ever been a little girl who felt more loved, and that feeling definitely continued into adulthood. And now that they're gone... all I have are memories.

Doug: When your mother was pregnant with you, she got it into her head that, uh, all mothers are supposed to knit little things for their babies, you know. Now, Addie did not know the eye of a needle from the eye of a potato, but that didn't stop her. It took her six months working every day to turn out this beautiful little blanket for your crib.

Hope: Oh, Dad, it's -- it's beautiful.

Doug: Uh-huh. And, uh... you got very attached to this, you see. You would hold it close, just like you're doing now, and never let go. So I figured that maybe your baby would like it, too. You like it, sweetheart?

Hope: Oh, dad, I love it, and I love you, too. Come here.

Doug: I love you, too, princess.

Alice: I have something for you.

Hope: You do?

Alice: Yes. Your mother... let's say your mother and I -- she wanted you to have these specially, and she wanted you to have them on your wedding day.

Hope: Oh, Grandma, they're beautiful. They're just beautiful.

Alice: I know, and I stashed them away to save them for the day you got married. Well, of course, I took them out on the day that you married Larry Welch, but I didn't give them to you. I knew in my heart that your real wedding would be the day that you married Bo Brady.

Hope: Oh, Grandma, I love you so much.

Alice: Darling.

Hope: I know that now is the time to say goodbye, but... Gran always said the ones you love are never far away. They're always in your hearts, and I'm grateful knowing that she and Daddy will always be with me... with all of us... forever.

Celeste: [Gasps]

Celeste: Alice. You've come back. Oh, darling. And I'm sensing you have news -- something to tell me.

Alice: Yes. Yes, I do.

Celeste: Alice, you must tell me. Is what you're about to say about the killer? Is Marlena guilty?

Alice: My darling, I can only say that... before the suffering is over, one more death will come to Salem.

Celeste: God, no. How can we bear to lose another loved one?

Jennifer: I don't believe that any of us could ever forget Alice Horton. Her kindness, her grace, her wisdom...

Jennifer: And, Gram, I -- I want you to know that you will continue to live on in our hearts, guiding us and showing us the way... today and tomorrow and all the days of our lives.

Jansen: Let us offer one another a sign of Christ's peace.

Belle: I wish I could be there for Shawn. Mimi, I have to find a way to get him back.

Shawn-D: I'll be right back.

Shawn-D: I'm sorry, I -- I don't believe we've met. Were you a friend of my great-grandmother's? I'm sure she'd be touched that you were here. I'm sorry. What's your name?

All: [Gasping and muttering]

Bo: What in the hell is she doing here?

Belle: Philip, have you seen Shawn?

Philip: I'm sorry, Belle, but if he loves you so much, he's the one who should be right here by your side.

Bo: We have solid evidence you came back to Salem before you said you did. That's more proof you're the Salem Stalker.

Bonnie: Why can things never, ever, never, ever go my way?!

Shawn-D: I love you so much, Gran.
