Jack: It feels so good to sink my teeth into a real story again. I'm telling you, Jennifer, if any -- Jennifer. Jennifer.

Jennifer: Huh? I'm sorry. What?

Jack: Abigail is perfectly capable of going to the takeout counter by herself.

Jennifer: I know that. I'm just worried. What if they give her the wrong change?

Jack: Then she'll tell them. She can speak her mind, believe me.

Jennifer: We just keep pushing her to grow up, Jack. She's still a little kid.

Jack: I'm not pushing her. I just think she'd have fun going to get some coffee by herself. You've got to stop worrying about her so much. You were -- you were upset and scared the whole time that she was away at camp.

Jennifer: Well, I know that, but it wasn't my idea to send her away to camp for the whole summer.

Jack: No, it was her idea. She wanted to get away -- all that hiking and camping and getting away from mommy and daddy, 'cause that's what being 12 is all about.

Jennifer: She is not 12 yet.

Jack: Practically. Now, listen, um, I rely got to run, okay? I'm going to get over there to the Dimera mansion and check out the grounds.

Jennifer: You know what, Jack? That's another thing. This big story -- why does it have to involve investigating the Dimeras? Bad things happen to people when they get close to that family.

Jack: No risk, no gain.

Jennifer: Oh. Okay, well, that makes me feel better.

Jack: Listen, everything's going to be great. I love you. Have great shopping with Abigail.

Jennifer: Jack, Jack --

Jack: All right. Cautious is my middle name. Remember that.

Jennifer: No, Jack, reckless is your middle name.

John: Is there a doctor in the house?

Marlena: Out here, my dear.

John: [ Yawns ] Oh, why didn't you wake me, sweetheart? Whoa.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

John: What is the occasion?

Marlena: I am just celebrating my good fortune at being married to you.

John: Unh-unh. I'm the lucky one.

Marlena: Well, I'm actually thanking you again for hiring Sami.

John: You thanked me last night.

Marlena: Well, I wanted to give you something a little extra-special.

John: Got a long way to go to top last night. Ha ha ha.

Marlena: Ha ha ha ha. Mm.

John: Mm.

Mimi: Rex! Rex? Oh, good, you're here.

Rex: Where else would I be? I just got up.

Mimi: Well, remember last night, when I couldn't find you? I got really freaked, so when I woke up and you weren't cuddled up next to me, I-I thought maybe you were off on one of your mysterious missions or something like that.

Rex: No. Good morning.

Mimi: It is now.

Rex: You know, I was just going to take a shower, but I just got a much better idea.

(Celesteís premonition)

Woman's voice: Such a shame. So young.

[ People sobbing ]

Man's voice: Tragedy.

Abe: [ Chuckles ] Good morning, Celeste. Celeste, are you all right?

Celeste: [ Sighs ] I just wish that Alexandra hadn't gone out.

Abe: It's okay.

Celeste: I'm sorry, Abraham, but s-someone close to me is in great danger.

Abe: And you're worried it's Lexie.

[ Doorbell rings ]

Tony: I'll get the door, Mabel.

Lexie: Hi.

Tony: Alexandra. Good morning. Please come in.

Lexie: Good morning. Well, I don't know how you're feeling, but, uh, you look mahvelous.

Tony: Oh, thank you. Well, 'cause I just came out of a coma. So what do I owe the pleasure of this visit this morning?

[ Doorbell rings ]

Lexie: Oh.

Tony: And I'm popular, too.

Lexie: Uh-huh. Ha ha. I'll get it. [ Sighs ] She's the reason I'm here, Tony. Kill the witch for me, will you?

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

Abby: Where's dad?

Jennifer: He's, uh, off chasing a story, sweetie.

Abby: He's a really good newspaperman, isn't he?

Jennifer: Yeah. Yeah, he is.

Abby: Jessica! Mom, it's Jessica Mayor. I haven't seen her since school got out. Can I go over and say hi?

Jennifer: Uh, where is she, sweetie?

Abby: Over there with her mom.

Jennifer: Yeah, okay, sure.

Abby: Thanks. Be right back. Don't worry about dad. He's got an angel on his shoulder. Besides, how much trouble can a reporter get into in Salem? Jessica!

Jennifer: Well, baby, your daddy could get into trouble just about anywhere. So much trouble.

Celeste: You probably think that my visions are the result of an overactive imagination, huh?

Abe: Well, I used to be skeptical, but your premonitions have come true too many times, and I'd be stupid to ignore this one. Celeste, I've assigned a police officer to guard Lexie.

Celeste: Oh, bless you, Abraham.

Abe: Otherwise, I wouldn't have let her go out alone. I'm also taking some other precautions. Keeping my family safe is my first priority.

Tony: Oh, please, come, ladies. It's such a beautiful morning. To be sniping at each other...

Lexie: Sami is no lady.

Sami: And you are?

Lexie: Look, after the stunt you pulled last night --

Sami: Oh, she's just trying to make you hate me, Tony. Don't let her do it.

Tony: Mm. So why did you come by?

Sami: I can't discuss it in front of her.

Tony: You know, there's a wonderful tray of croissants in the living room along with Mabel's great coffee. Could you wait for me in there, please?

Lexie: All right, all right, all right. But get rid of her.

Tony: So, what can I do for you?

Sami: I'm here about my job at Basic Black.

Tony: What, it came through?

Sami: No, I haven't heard from my mom or that rat she's married to.

Tony: Well, the rat happens to be my brother, also your future boss, if it all goes through as planned.

Sami: Yeah, well, I don't have to like John to work for him. But I ran into Kate last night, literally, and I don't think she's going to let me get that job.

Tony: Don't worry about Kate. I promised you the job would come through.

Sami: Well, yeah, but if you think --

Tony: There are no ifs. Now listen to me. Have faith in Tony. In Tony you trust. That is your motto from now on, okay? Good. Now off with you. And remember -- I always keep my promises.

Sami: Okay.

Bart: Excuse me, boss. I couldn't help overhearing again. I mean, when your job's spying, you just can't turn it off.

Tony: Yes, Bart.

Bart: Sir, how can you be so sure John Black is going to give sexy Sami this job?

Tony: Because Marlena wants it, and John Black always likes to please his beautiful wife.

Bart: But if he doesn't --

Tony: If he doesn't, then Sami will understand that her step-papa hates her, and that will bond her even closer to me.

John: I love you so much.

[ Telephone rings ]

John: No. What timing.

Marlena: You know what? It might be Sami.

[ Ring ]

Marlena: I've left messages for her everywhere, and -- and, um, she doesn't even know about the job yet.

John: Let me talk to her.

[ Ring ]

John: I want to start this fence-mending process.

Marlena: I love you.

John: Not half as much as I love you.

[ Ring ]

John: John Black.

Abe: Hey, John, it's Abe.

John: Ah, Abraham. Hey, any new leads on the attack on Bo and Hope?

Abe: [ Sighs ] No, no. I'm still working on it. Then I'm going to make whoever did it pay, especially if it's Tony Dimera. John, um, listen, I need a favor. My mother-in-law has been having some premonitions about someone she loves being in danger.

John: Premonitions, huh?

Abe: I'd like to get some of your high-tech surveillance gadgets to keep closer tabs on Lexie.

John: On Lexie?

Abe: Celeste is afraid that someone close to her is going to die, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let it be my wife or son.

[ Rattling ]

Rex: What's that noise?

Mimi: Huh? It's a garbage truck. Why do they pick up so early?

Rex: No, no, it's good.

Mimi: Good, huh? A second ago, you were worshiping my earlobe, and now you're all jazzed about garbage?

Rex: Don't be silly. All right? There was some things I wanted to get rid of, and now they're officially gone, so I'm glad.

Mimi: Things? What things?

Rex: Your earlobe is delicious.

Mimi: Rex, why are you always so mysterious?

Rex: To keep you interested.

Rex: Are you sure the garbage truck pulled up? 'Cause I don't hear anything.

Mimi: Oh, my god! You really are more into trash.

Rex: Damn it.

Mimi: What? For goodness sakes!

Rex: Stay in bed, all right? I'll be right back.

Mimi: What the heck's his problem now?

John: Well, Abraham, I can't say that I believe in visions, but I'll set you up with whatever you need.

Abe: Thank you, thank you. Uh, I don't want Lexie to know about this. She's already upset enough after Sami went off on her last night.

John: Do I want to know?

Abe: She was listening at our window.

John: Listening?

Abe: She said she came by to ask me to help her get back with Brandon, if you can believe that.

John: Oh, brother, I'm sorry.

Abe: It just so happens that Lexie and I were on the phone with Brandon, and Sami hears that. She makes this big fuss about wanting to get on to talk to him. Can you imagine that?

John: Oh, yeah.

Abe: Well, when we wouldn't let her, she -- she calls us every name in the book. She made some really horrible threats against both Lexie and me.

John: Look, Abraham, I'm not going to defend Sami here, but, you know, she's a pretty big talker.

Abe: Yeah, yeah, I know she wasn't serious, but my wife doesn't need to be abused like that.

John: No, of course not. I will set you up with whatever you need right away.

Abe: Thanks.

John: See you soon.

Marlena: Hey. You never came back. Well, well, well? Was Sami thrilled?

John: It was Abraham on the phone. He's afraid that someone is going to try to kill Lexie.

Tony: I'm sorry.

Lexie: What did she want, my head on a stake in the middle of Salem place?

Tony: Forget that girl. She's so insecure. She comes to me for encouragement.

Lexie: Tony, she's dangerous.

Tony: Nothing your big brother can't handle.

[ Cellular phone rings ]

Tony: It's you.

Lexie: Excuse me.

[ Ring ]

Lexie: Hello?

Abe: Lexie, where are you?

Lexie: I'm at Tony's, having coffee.

Abe: Can you please come --

Celeste: Alexandra, darling, please, come home, and stay home. And do not take Theo out under any circumstances.

Lexie: Now, look, both of you, no one is going to make me a prisoner in my own home. I'm going shopping, mother. Tell Abe to relax.

Celeste: She insists on going shopping, and she wants you to relax.

Tony: You know, the officer I placed with Lexie will follow her from the Dimera mansion. She's being watched, Celeste.

Celeste: : Thank god for that.

Abe: Celeste, can you stay with Theo? I've got to get to work.

Celeste: Oh, yes, of course, darling. I treasure every moment with my beautiful grandson. Of course.

Abe: I'll check with you later, huh?

Celeste: All right.

Celeste: Please be careful, Alexandra. Your son needs you, darling.

Lexie: So, um, the reason I came to see you...

Tony: I was wondering when you'd get around to that.

Lexie: My mother had one of her visions last night.

Tony: I see.

Lexie: Uh... she, uh, well, she thinks that someone she loves is going to die.

Tony: Oh, lovely.

Lexie: Tony, do you know of anything -- I mean, have you heard about any threats against Abe or the baby?

Tony: Good god, no. I would've told you immediately. I know how much you love them both.

Lexie: Are you sure?

Tony: What, do you think I'd lie to you about something as important as that?

Lexie: No, no, but --

Tony: What is it, John Black's infernal suspicions of me? Do you know that he and Bo and your husband, by the way, suspect me of trying to kill Bo and Hope? Did they put doubts in your mind about me?

Lexie: Oh, Tony... you know I love you. I- I'm just worried to death about Abe and the baby.

Tony: You have not answered my question. Do you think I tried to kill the Bradys?

Rex: Hey, what the hell do y think you're doing?

Jack: You're the one in the towel, bud.

Rex: Stop doing that.

Jack: Do we have a problem here, Rex? You have something stashed in this trash that you don't want anyone to find? 'Cause I think you're going to be out of luck. If there's any treasure in this trash, I'm about to uncover it.

Rex: Like hell you are.

John: So, Abraham wants my help to protect Lexie.

Marlena: Just in case.

John: Just in case.

Marlena: Well, I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing. I feel for them. John, Sami still hasn't called?

John: No, no.

Marlena: Well, I'd like to tell her she's got that job at Basic Black. Maybe I'll try her cell phone again.

John: Listen, if you talk to her, I'd like to speak with her.

Marlena: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Marlena: Sami, hi, it's mama. Um, please call me at home as soon as you get the message. Bye-bye. Ooh, I just so badly want to give her that good news.

John: Mm.

Marlena: And I'm kinda thinking that maybe she'll use this chance to turn her life around.

Sami: Damn Lexie.

Abby: Oh, my goodness, mom, isn't that dress so cool?

Jennifer: Well, which one, sweetie?

Abby: The white one with the spaghetti straps.

Jennifer: The white -- the white? No. That is way too grown-up for you, honey.

Abby: It's the style, mom.

Jennifer: But we're here for school shopping, remember? Just for school, honey.

Abe: You're late.

Man: It's lucky for you I'm here at all.

Maggie: Abe, hi.

Abe: Hi, Maggie.

Maggie: How's Lexie and that new baby doing?

Abe: Very well, thank you.

Maggie: I'm so glad. I have a gift, and I wanted to know when I can stop by --

Abe: Maggie, why don't you call Lexie at the house? I'm in the middle of something here.

Maggie: Oh. Okay. I didn't mean to interrupt. I guess when you're a cop, your time is never your own.

Abe: Well, I'll tell Lexie I saw you.

Maggie: Okay.

Abe: So, how is this information going to help bring down the Dimeras?

Lexie: Of course I don't believe that you attacked Bo and Hope. You were in a coma.

Tony: Thank you.

Lexie: It's just that the Bradys are two of our closest friends -- Abe's and mine -- and Abe is determined to find whoever tried to kill them.

Tony: Yeah, but that's Abe's job -- protecting the public, bringing criminals to justice. I know. More power to him.

Lexie: Yeah.

Tony: So what is that, uh, stunt that Sami was supposed to have pulled last night?

Lexie: Oh, Tony, she showed up at our home while we were talking to Brandon.

Tony: You're still in touch with him?

Lexie: Well, yeah, of course. He's Abe's son. I mean, he's -- he's Theo's older brother. Anyway, when we wouldn't let Sami talk to Brandon, she threatened us. She started making some crazy, crazy threats.

Tony: You know, Sami's anger puts new meaning to the expression "use your words," and that's what they are -- words. She won't follow through.

Lexie: Are you sure?

Bart: Boss, it -- whoops. Sorry, didn't know you had company.

Tony: My sister's always welcome in her ancestral home.

Bart: Absolutely. My bad.

Lexie: Well, I'm sure you both have business to discuss, and I've got a sale to get to, so I'd better go. Goodbye. I'll show myself out. Thank you, Bart.

Bart: You're welcome. [ Sighs ] Boss, it is so wild that your sister is married to the police commander.

Tony: Yes, entirely too wild.

Bart: What are you going to do, right? I mean, love is love. You can't fight it, right?

Tony: But I'd prefer my sister to be a widow than married to that man.

Mimi: Mr. Dimera, Bart, you've got to come quickly.

Tony: What, is it Rex?

Mimi: Yeah, he's trying to kill Jack Deveraux.

Tony: What? Where?

Mimi: On the grounds by the trash cans. I saw them through the windows. Oh, god.

Tony: Come through here, come through here. It's much faster. Come on, come on.

Rex: Tell me why you're looking through our garbage.

Jack: I'm -- I'm -- I'm a collector, yeah. And the -- the Dimeras g all kinds of treasure, you know. I mean, you must have all kinds of treasure in this trash.

Rex: You're lying to me, you son of a --

Jack: Aw, come on. Come on. Unhand me, we can talk about this.

Rex: Not until you tell me the truth.

Jack: The truth?

Tony: What's going on here?

Mimi: Let go of Jack, Rex!

Rex: He was trespassing.

Jack: [ Coughs ]

Rex: I caught him going through our garbage.

Tony: Really? To think our throwaways could be that fascinating. Tell me, Jack, what exactly were you hoping to find?

Sami: It's so hot. God, why haven't they called me yet? What, do they enjoy torturing me?

Abe: All right, hurry up and give me whatever you got on the Dimeras.

Man: You're going to find it interesting -- and useful, too.

[ Cellular phone rings ]

Abe: Excuse me. Abe Carver.

Jennifer: Abe, hi. Uh, listen, it's Jennifer. I- I hate to bother you. Um... I'm just -- I'm really worried about Jack. I think he's snooping around the Dimera mansion.

Abe: What on earth for?

Jennifer: He's working on a big story. That's all he'll tell me. But could you please send someone over there to check on him? I really hate to ask.

Abe: Well, don't be silly. You're upset. And seeing as it's the Dimeras, I'll check on it personally. Don't you worry. I've got to go do something for a friend. I'll meet you back here in half an hour.

Lexie: Ha ha. To hell with the money, Jennifer. If you want the dress, buy it.

Jennifer: Hi.

Lexie: Hi.

Jennifer: I'm not shopping for myself today. We're shopping for school clothes for Abby. God only knows what she is trying on in there.

Lexie: Uh-oh. Well, I just bought the cutest little outfits for Theo. It's a great sale.

Jennifer: Oh, good -- sale. That's great.

Abby: See, mom? It's got this tete silver chain on it. Oh, hi, Mrs. Carver.

Lexie: Hi, Abby.

Abby: Tell my mom how cool this dress is.

Jennifer: Sweetie, I- I realize that you are feeling very grown-up right now, but that is inappropriate, and it sends the wrong message.

Abby: That stuff's all in your head, mom.

Jennifer: Well, you know what? I love you. Get in there and keep trying. Go on.

Abby: This is so outrageous. Maybe I can find a nun's habit.

Lexie: Ha ha ha ha ha. Well, they say girls are harder. Oh, Jennifer. She's just testing you. It's the age.

Jennifer: Yeah, yeah. You know, it's -- it's not really Abby that I'm worried about. It's -- it's my husband.

Lexie: Oh, god. You, too.

Marlena: [ Sighs ] Why doesn't Sami call, for heaven's sake? I-I mean, so you can tell her the good news. Unless you want me to tell her the good news.

John: [ Laughing ]

Marlena: What? What?

John: I've been working you. You're dying to tell her, so go on. You be the one to tell her the good news, all right?

Marlena: Yeah, if she ever calls.

John: Hey, you know the old expression -- a watched phone never rings.

Marlena: Is that the old expression?

John: That's the old expression.

Marlena: I was wondering what the old expression was. Well, there you go. I don't know what we'll do in the meantime.

John: Whipped cream and strawberries on the terrace.

Marlena: I'll race you for it.

John: Whipped cream -- oh, I love this girl. Ha ha ha ha.

Tony: So I don't know what you're in search of, Jack, that you might find more than you've bargained for, namely, danger.

Jack: Yeah. Perhaps...for you.

Rex: Mimi, go back inside. I told you to stay in my room.

Mimi: Ooh, sorry for not obeying.

Rex: Damn it, Mimi, just go back inside.

Tony: I thought you were smarter than that, Jack. He actually thinks the Dimeras are going to be throwing away some incriminating evidence in trash cans so that any bum that came along may find.

Bart: Pretty hilarious.

Tony: Yes. Never let it be said that Tony Dimera got in the way of any man on his mission. So go ahead, Jack. Rummage your heart out. Pick any can. Maybe you'll find it stuffed with plenty of all kinds of goodies.

Jack: Thanks. I will.

[ Whistling ]

Tony: On second thought, I'm not in the mood to suffer fools this morning. Jack, you've had your fun. Now get out of here.

Jack: Ha ha. Well, I knew you people had some secrets. I guess this is my lucky day. Let's see -- ahem. Maybe there's something the police would like in this can.

Rex: Hey, look, you heard my father. He said get the hell out of here, damn it.

Sami: Ew. Gross, Sami. Okay, okay. I can't stand it for one more minute. I am calling mom myself. I'm such an idiot. I didn't turn my stupid cell phone on this morning. Come on, come on, messages, please? Yes. Yes, okay. Please be home, mom. Please be home.

[ Telephone rings ]

Marlena: Hold on. Sami, is that you?

Sami: Yeah, mom, it's me. I just turned on my phone and saw that I had messages from you.

Marlena: I've been trying to reach you everywhere. Hey, girly-girl, you got the job at Basic Black.

Sami: I did? Oh, mom, that is so great.

Lexie: Why are you worried about Jack, Jennifer?

Jennifer: Well, he's, uh, he's just working on a really big story right now, and I am so afraid that it could be --

Lexie: Dangerous?

Jennifer: Yeah.

Lexie: I know how you feel.

Lexie: Ha ha.

Jennifer: Oh, my. That is why I need for Jack to be really careful right now, because I am not going to make it through Abby's teenage years without her father to back me up.

Lexie: Well, Jennifer, you know, I guess the question is why are we attracted to men who live for danger? What's the matter with us?

Jennifer: We can't help it, Lexie. And you know what? Abe and Jack -- they captured our hearts a long time ago, so there's no going back.

Maggie: Excuse me. Aren't you the man that was talking with Abe carver a little while ago? You're not from around here, are you? Uh, hi, I'm Maggie Horton. Okay, your unofficial welcome wagon. Did you and Abe go to college together?

Man: Have you seen Abe? Is he back?

Maggie: I don't know where he is. Is something wrong, huh?

Man: I got to go. I got to go.

Maggie: Okay.

Tony: Hey, hey, hey, hey.

Jack: Watch my dry cleaning.

Abe: I got a report of a disturbance here.

Tony: Well, we rate, don't we? The commander himself comes to investigate.

Abe: What's going on?

Tony: Well, we caught Jack Deveraux going through our trash. I'd like to file a formal complaint for invasion of privacy and trespassing.

Jack: Well, I guess my hunch was on the money. Somebody's hiding something here. Abe, if I were you, I would, uh, confiscate the Dimeras' trash.

Rex: Well, that's ridiculous.

Abe: You know, if you want to file a complaint, you're going to have to come down to the station. As for you, you better get a move on.

Jack: Abe, look, I mean it. I'm onto something here.

Abe: We don't want to make trouble here, do we, Jack, right?

Jack: Right. Just -- all right, just tell me, what happens to the garbage?

Tony: That's none of your business. Bart, take the trash into the shed, would you?

Bart: Yes, sir. See if I watch your show anymore.

Jack: Right.

Tony: Why were you so upset? Was there something incriminating in the trash cans? A piece of advice that was passed on to me from my father -- if you have something that needs to be destroyed, you do it yourself and leave no evidence behind.

Jack: I am not letting this go, Abe. Something stinks around here. My gut's telling me I almost found something in that garbage can.

Abe: Don't push it. The Dimeras don't play around.

Jack: Yeah. Well, neither do I.

Abe: I may have another angle on this thing. Someone with information is waiting for me at Salem place. Why don't you get in your car and meet me there?

Jack: Somebody else bringing down the Dimeras? I'm right there with you.

Sami: Oh, mom, thank you so much. So -- so what about the job? When do I start, what about the salary, and -- and, um... oh, gosh, do I have vacation pay? And -- and what about -- what about health benefits?

Marlena: You've got so many questions. Hold the phone. Your boss is right here, dying to talk to you.

Sami: Mom, I have to go. I have another call.

Marlena: All right, honey. Um, okay, well, go ahead, but don't forget who's responsible for you getting this job, okay?

(Samiís flashback)

Tony: It may take a little finagling on my part, but I think I'm confident enough that I can help you land a job at Basic Black.

Sami: Really, Tony? That is so amazing. Thank you for coming to my rescue again

Tony: Ha ha ha ha.

Sami: I don't know how to thank you.

Tony: Oh, it's my pleasure. I live to make you happy.

Sami: Yes, mom, I know exactly who I have to thank.

Marlena: Good. And you'll see that you do.

Sami: Oh, of course I will, mom. Don't worry. You bet I'm going to thank him.

[ Voices sobbing over baby monitor ]

Woman's voice: Such a tragedy. So young.

Celeste: Theo.

[ Sobbing continues ]

Man's voice: Tragedy.

Lexie: I just guess this is where "for better or worse" kicks in. We just hold our breath while our men risk their lives.

Jennifer: And we just pray that god takes care of them and keeps them safe.

Lexie: Amen to that, hmm?

Abby: It's not short, and it's not black, okay?

Jennifer: No, it's not okay.

Abby: Mom!

Jennifer: Go on, keep trying. I'll be in, in a minute.

Abby: It's so outrageous.

Jennifer: Ha ha ha ha. Were we ever that stubborn and opinionated?

Lexie: Uh, let's ask Abe and Jack about that, huh?

Jennifer: Oh, yeah, that's a good point, actually.

Lexie: Yeah. Ha ha ha ha.

Maggie: Lexie?

Lexie: Yeah?

Maggie: Hi, Jennifer.

Jennifer: Hi, Maggie.

Maggie: Lexie, do you have any idea where Abe is?

Lexie: Um, no, um... I'm sure he's working, wherever he is. Why?

Maggie: Well, I probably shouldn't be sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong, but I-I got -- I just got a little worried just now.

Lexie: What? What happened, Maggie?

Maggie: Well, um, it's probably nothing, but I saw Abe having coffee with this man that I had never seen before, and then I guess Abe left, and then later, when I was talking to this same man, well, he seemed just terrified, Lexie, and he scared me.

Celeste: Oh. Thank god my precious Theo is all right. Seeing his sweet face... my premonition is not of him. I sense that strongly. But I feel the presence of death moving closer and closer to someone, but who? Who? Alexandra? Abraham? Oh, I don't know. I don't know. All I do know is the one in danger is someone that I love.

Lexie: Maggie, are you sure this man was talking to Abe?

Maggie: Oh, yes. I saw them sitting together at the java cafe. I think Abe was trying to get rid of me. I mean, he didn't even introduce me, and I was standing right there in front of him. This man was extremely anxious for Abe to come back.

Jennifer: Lexie, we were right. Something is going on.

Lexie: I feel like someone just walked over my grave.

Maggie: [ Gasps ] Lexie, don't say that. My mom used to tell me that if you say it, it comes true.

Abe: I'm not sure this informant can be trusted.

Jack: Well, as long as whatever he gives you gives us enough to bring down the Dimeras --

Woman: You're Commander Carver, aren't you? Oh, please, come quick.

Abe: Police! Stand back, stand back.

Jack: It's all right. Listen, Commander Carver's in control. Everything's going to be fine.

Abe: Oh, god.

Jack: Just a minute. Uh... uh, let me hazard a guess. Your informant?

Abe: Yeah.

Jack: Yeah.

Abe: He's dead.

Jack: Poor guy. Must have had something pretty incriminating to bring you about the Dimeras, and somebody stopped him dead -- literally. Three guesses who did it.

Tony's voice: When you have something that needs to be destroyed, you do it yourself and leave no evidence behind.

Mimi: Here you are. I was looking for you. Oh, my god. What are you doing now?

Rex: Following Tony's good advice.

Mimi: Yeah, well, you're scaring me to death.

Marlena: Say... you haven't even touched your breakfast. You just can't live on love alone, you know.

John: Hmm. A little distracted, I guess.

Marlena: Why?

John: You were so psyched to tell Sami the good news, I didn't want to burst your bubble.

Marlena: Well, it's all set, isn't it?

John: You know, when I was talking to Abe earlier, he said something kind of upsetting. It seems that Sami came to visit him last night, asking for help to get Brandon back.

Marlena: What?

John: It gets worse. Apparently, she overheard a conversation Abe and Lexie were having with Brandon at the time, and she -- she went nuts and made some pretty ugly threats against them.

Marlena: Oh, my word! So many people try to help that girl, and it's never enough for her.

John: Hey, where are you going?

Marlena: I'm going to find that girl and stop her before she self-destructs.

Sami: Tony! Tony, Tony! Tony, Tony, Tony, Tony, Tony!

Tony: Okay, okay, just -- just slow down, will you? Just slow down. I don't want a repeat performance of that unfortunate accident you had.

Sami: Oh, no. I just want to thank you. I got the job.

Tony: Oh, you did? Well, I told you it would come through.

Sami: Well, it did. How did you do it? I mean, John still hates me, Kate hates me more than ever, and yet they hired me. What did you do? Did you threaten them?

Tony: I can't reveal my secrets.

Sami: Oh. Oh, well, I just wanted to come over in person and tell you how eternally grateful I am.

Tony: Aw, it was my pleasure. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Sami: [ Coughs ] Well, I'm glad, and thank you again, and you know what? I have to go shopping. I have to buy all new outfits for my new job. Thank you.

Tony: Ha ha.

Sami: He's the best, huh?

Bart: He sure is.

Sami: Bye.

Bart: Boss, you are beautiful. You didn't do squat to get Sami that job, but you got all the credit.

Tony: I took all the credit. Ha ha. That was a delicious moment, wasn't it? "Oh, thank you, Tony. I'm eternally grateful, Tony." Ha ha. Oh -- hmm. You know, I'm spinning a web for Samantha Brady, and she's falling into it quite nicely. Soon I'll have her positioned exactly where I want her.

Bart: Positions? What -- what are we talking, boss, a little romance?

Tony: Oh, don't be stupid. A position for revenge. You see, Sami Brady is my key to the destruction of all my enemies.

Philip: What are you doing here?

(On the next Days of Our Lives)

Cassie: You're going to help me break up Shawn and Belle.

Philip: No, Shawn, no!

Caroline: Hasn't Marlena suffered enough?

Sami: Marlena's a whore. You roll over on your back and let Joe Millionaire have his way with you.

Marlena: How dare you speak to me like that?

Tony: That's why I tete to say to my sister -- let's kill her husband.

Man: You know, Commander, I'd call it a threat.
