Roman: Maggie.

Maggie: Hmm?

Roman: Thank you for the tip.

Maggie: You know me -- I always cooperate with law enforcement.

Roman: Because you are a fine upstanding citizen.

Maggie: Ha ha. Well, the suspect that you have been tracking is, uh, right over there. Good luck.

Roman: I'll need it.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: Roman.

Roman: Kate, it is such a small world. Can you imagine that -- you and me winding up here, same place, same time?

Kate: Too small.

Roman: It's been a while, Kate.

Kate: Look, it's just not a good time right now.

Roman: Not a good time now? Wh is a good time? Because you keep ducking my messages, won't take my calls, always too busy.

Kate: Okay. I'm sorry. It --

Roman: I thought you had feelings for me, Kate. 'Cause you know what? I know I got feelings for you, and they are strong -- the long-lasting kind. I am not exactly the sit at home, wait by the phone type, so I got to know here -- do we have a chance, or would you rather that both of us spend the rest of our lives alone and miserable?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Sami: I'm not going to calm down. I have a son to take care of, and I have bills to pay, but you just don't care because I'm -- mom. What did they decide?

Marlena: Sami, I'm sorry.

Sami: No.

Marlena: The board voted against you because you switched the test results on Lexie's baby. They're letting you go.

Sami: What about you, though, mom? Did you vote against me, too?

Marlena: I did, Sami. I also cast Victor's vote against you.

Sami: Oh, my god. So it's bad enough that I'm getting fired, but on top of it, you have to put the final nails in my coffin? Well, I know that it is all John's fault. He has turned you against me.

Marlena: Why don't we talk outside?

Sami: Good idea. I don't even believe it, mom.

Marlena: Calm down.

Sami: I don't know how this could happen.

Marlena: Calm down. Calm down.

Sami: What, do you really hate me this much, mom?

Marlena: Of course I don't hate you.

Sami: Then tell me, please, how could you do this to me?

Marlena: Sami, I didn't do this to you. John didn't do this to you. You did this to yourself.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Tony: No wonder Samantha's so heartbroken -- to be betrayed by her own mother.

John: Betrayed?

Tony: Yes, I feel it's the duty of a parent to stand by their children no matter what the circumstances.

John: Yeah, that's right -- the Dimera code of ethics, right? The end justifies the means, destroy your enemy before they destroy you. I understand.

Tony: Oh, please, John, don't make this about me.

John: Mm, that was the logic behind your latest crime, wasn't it?

Tony: I'm sorry?

John: The attack on Bo and Hope.

Tony: You really think I was responsible. Such a clever man.

John: [ Chuckles ]

Lucas: Wait a minute. You --

Tony: Yes, he was absolutely right. I did it. I'm as guilty as sin. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Bo: Great news. The doc just gave me our release forms. We are out of here.

Hope: Oh, yes. Won't it be great to be home with our sweet little angel? God, I have missed him so much, Bo.

Bo: Yeah, me too, but like I said, once I get you settled in, I'm going after the maniac who did this to us.

Hope: You're still thinking about Tony Dimera?

Bo: Well, our so-called comatose patient was missing in action at the same time you and I got clobbered.

Hope: Right, but when they found him, they found him in a different hospital room, and he was still in a coma. So how does he pull off a trick like that? Unless...

Bo: What?

Hope: Unless Tony Dimera has developed superhuman powers.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Roman: So, you sexy woman, are you going to answer my question?

Kate: All right, I admit...

Roman: Yeah? Go on.

Kate: When you look at me with those big brown puppy dog eyes, I find you very hard to resist.

Roman: Well, then, why would you do that? Why resist?

Kate: Roman, it -- it's -- it's just, um, it hasn't been easy with us lately, okay? There's so many things that we have to disagree about. Sami, for instance -- your daughter and i detest each other.

Roman: I am not asking you to love Sami. I'm asking you to love me.

Kate: [ Groans ] Lucas. Lucas getting involved with -- with Tony Dimera. I mean, he knows that I don't approve, and yet I cannot make him see the error of his ways.

Roman: And what the hell does that have to do with anything?

Kate: You know, and eventually down the line, if Tony gets Lucas to break the law -- I mean, god forbid -- you would have to arrest him, and how could we ever live with that?

Roman: Boy, are you getting way ahead of yourself. You are giving us problems we don't have yet.

Kate: Yet -- you see, that is the operative word.

Roman: Kate, why are you being so negative? In any relationship worth its salt, you take care of your problems one by one. You know why? Because the bottom line is you love each other, and there is nothing -- and I mean nothing -- that can get in the way of two people who love each other very much.

[ Cellular phone rings ]

Roman: All right, I got to take this. Yeah. Captain Brady.

Marlena: Roman, I need to see you.

Roman: What's up?

Marlena: It's Sami.

Roman: I'll be right there.

Kate: Something wrong?

Roman: Yeah, I got to go over to the hospital, talk to Marlena. Can we continue this later on, pick up where we left off?

Kate: No, no, no. No, I'll go with you. In fact, I should check on Lucas, make sure he's not getting in over his head with Tony.

Roman: That's right. You take care of Lucas, and I will take care of Sami.

Kate: Ah, I see. One problem at a time -- is that it?

Roman: There you go. Let's go.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Sami: That's typical -- times get tough, and you call dad and make a federal case out of it.

Marlena: He's your father. He's got a right to know what's happening.

Sami: Of course, because I'm consorting with the enemy. I'm associating with the evil criminal mastermind Tony Dimera.

Marlena: Sami, we're your parents, and we have a right to worry about you.

Sami: I just feel like you're not on my side.

Marlena: Honey, I am on your side.

Sami: Mom, you had two votes including Victor's proxy.

Marlena: I was doing what was best for you, honey.

Sami: Oh, really? By voting against me twice.

Marlena: I spoke to John about it. We both agreed it was the thing to do.

Sami: Yeah, John talked you into this.

Marlena: No. I voted my conscience. Sami, look at history. We know what Victor would have done, and you showed very poor judgment when you switched those test results. And you hadn't handled your own life any better since then.

Sami: Why are you all ganging up on me?

Marlena: 'Cause we're scared for you. Because your life is spinning out of control. Because your judgment is flawed. And hooking up with Tony Dimera is the worst mistake you could ever make in your entire life.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Tony: It's a bloody joke, isn't it? Dimeras are always guilty until proven innocent.

John: Yeah, it's a regular farce, considering your track record.

Tony: You know, I'm quite flattered, John, that you would think I was capable of escaping a coma and a hospital and then find myself on the other side of town to bash in the skulls of two people I have no reason to harm.

John: Well, now, wait a minute. Bo and Hope thwarted your plan. You were in the middle of obtaining a highly explosive substance. Would have made you a fortune.

Tony: What happened to our truce, John? I thought you'd given up this foolish idea of wanting to incriminate me. I thought you went beyond inventing lies about your brother.

John: Tony, I'm not investigating you. The police are. They only know you had motive, and they know that you were missing when Bo and Hope were attacked.

Tony: Well, I didn't do anything to harm Bo and Hope Brady, and you can take your groundless accusations, and you can go straight to hell.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Bo: Well, don't get carried away here. I'm not saying Dimera has superhuman powers. I'm saying he was behind the attack on us.

Hope: He wasn't --

Bo: What? What is it?

Hope: I just got a terrible feeling, like someone just walked over our graves.

Bo: Hey, cut that out.

Hope: God, Brady, I'm so afraid, like something else is going to happen to us -- something bad.

Bo: Hey, come here, come here. Nothing bad is going to happen. Nothing. I'm going to protect you. You got to believe it.

Hope: Okay, that's it.

Bo: Okay. All we got to do is sign these release forms, and we're out of here.

Hope: That's music to my ears, Brady.

Maggie: Oh.

Bo: Hey, Maggie.

Maggie: Hi. I'm so glad you're okay.

Hope: Yeah, we're going home, as a matter of fact.

Maggie: I- I know, I know. I heard that, but, um...

Hope: What?

Bo: What? What's going on?

Maggie: I got a little call from Mickey a while ago, and he is worried about his mom.

Hope: What? Gran's okay, isn't she?

Maggie: Yes, she's physically fine. It's just that she's having trouble sleeping.

Bo: Did he say why?

Maggie: Well, she's sort of having bad dreams, apparently, um, almost like premonitions about the two of you. Anyway, I told Mickey that I would stop by here and make sure that you were all right so he could reassure Alice.

Hope: Please tell Mickey I am fine, Bo is fine.

Bo: The doc gave us a clean bill of health.

Hope: Yeah, Bo, um, listen, I'm a little worried about Gran. Can we swing by the house on the way home?

Maggie: Yeah, I'll go, too.

Hope: Um, do you mind?

Bo: No, of course I don't mind. We're family. That's what we do -- take care of each other.

Maggie: Okay, all right.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Marlena: Do you see what I'm getting at?

Roman: All right, all right. What's the problem now?

Marlena: Thank you for coming.

Sami: Dad to the rescue -- always the hero, answering mom's mayday call. Well, maybe you should just pull out the handcuffs and arrest me right now.

Roman: Cut the nonsense, Sami.

Sami: I've broken the Brady law, dad. I was nice to a Dimera. I should go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200 -- and just when I could use the cash.

Roman: What the hell is she talking about?

Sami: Well, I was fired today, dad, thanks to my lovely mother and her cohort the wicked stepfather of the east.

Marlena: All right, all right, that's enough. The board fired Sami for switching the test results.

Sami: Mom voted against me twice. Not once -- two times.

Roman: Sami, Sami. Cool it. Now, I am sorry you lost your job, but what you did was wrong, and you deserve to be punished.

Marlena: Maybe having some time will give you some perspective, Sami. Maybe you'll start making better choices in your life.

Sami: That's a really good idea. I'll work on that right after I figure out how I'm going to pay my bills.

Marlena: Stop seeing Tony Dimera. Stop behaving like he's some kind of a long-lost friend to you. He's not. He's the reason you lost your voice.

Sami: That was an accident. He was trying to calm me down because I was out of control. He would have saved me if he could have, just like I tried to save him.

Roman: Sami, we've been through this.

Sami: He was stabbed, dad. I called out to him, and he turned around, and he took that scalpel right in the chest. I tried to help, but all I did was ma h his injuries worse.

Marlena: This is not your fault, Sami.

Sami: Look, mom, he was in a coma, and he almost died, but does he get any sympathy from either of you? No. No, he is just as misunderstood as I am.

Marlena: You are identifying with him. That is so unhealthy.

Sami: I have compassion for the man.

Marlena: The man himself has no compassion for anyone. He is dangerous. He is vindictive.

Roman: Sami, we don't want to see you hurt.

Marlena: Can you see that he is trying to buy your affection? Can't you see that?

Sami: You know what I see? I see that you're jealous.

Marlena: What?

Sami: Yeah, I think you want Tony for yourself. Admit it.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: Oh, hi.

John: Hi, Kate.

Kate: Um, Bo and Hope -- is all well? They okay?

John: Yeah, seems like it.

Kate: Oh, thank goodness.

John: Yeah, pretty lucky.

Kate: Um, you haven't seen Lucas, by any chance, have you?

John: Yeah. He's with Tony. They're discussing Dimera business.

Kate: [ Sighs ]

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Tony: So tell me, what's the bad news?

Lucas: Well, sir, I, uh... I just checked with the bank --

Tony: Spit it out.

Lucas: Well, ever since our deal fell through to acquire the substance from the Indian reservation, we've kind of run into a little cash flow problem.

Tony: Damn Bo and Hope.

Lucas: Yeah, it is so typical of them, always butting in to other people's lives.

Tony: Yes, they'll pay a price for interfering in my life. Anyone who strikes at the Dimeras does so at their own peril.

Lucas: Look, Tony, I know I lost a considerable amount of money for you, but before you read me the riot act, I want you to know --

Tony: Lucas, just forget it, will you? It's just money. We'll survive.

Lucas: I am so relieved to hear you say that.

Tony: Well, I am so happy you're relieved. Now get out of here.

Lucas: Okay.

Tony: I need my strength. I've got to rest. We've got a lot to accomplish.

Lucas: Right. I'll -- I'll be right outside if you need me.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: So what's it like doing Tony Dimera's dirty work? Are you enjoying yourself, Lucas?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Tony: Like the phoenix that rose from the ashes, I will revive stronger and deadlier than ever.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: So I wonder how long it will be before Tony has you break the law for him.

Lucas: You know what, mom? I know better than that.

Kate: Hmm. I know the job pays well, but is it going to be worth it when you go to jail?

Lucas: That is never going to happen. You got that? Now if you'll excuse me, I have a phone call to make.

Kate: Oh. For Tony?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: Fire him.

Tony: Kate.

Kate: My son. Leave him alone. Let him go.

Tony: Well, you seem to have dispensed with the pleasantries. Hello. Why, yes, I'm feeling much better. Thank you for not asking.

Kate: Tony, I don't want him working for you anymore.

Tony: He's a grown man. He can make his own decisions.

Kate: Once you sell your soul to the Dimeras, you can never go back. Your life is ruined.

Tony: Are we talking from personal experience here? Tell me, Kate, do you have some deep, dark secret from your past with the Dimeras?

Kate: Oh, Stefano, please. Because I canít. No, I know -- I know I have no choice.

Kate: I want to support Lucas. I have to support Lucas. I have to take care of my son. All right, all right. I'll do it, Stefano. I will do it. I will do anything you want.

Tony: Kate. Please, take me for a stroll down memory lane. I would just love to reminisce with you.

Tony: Hmm. Ha ha ha ha ha.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Marlena: I will not dignify that comment with a response.

Sami: Seems like I've hit a nerve.

Marlena: I don't want Tony Dimera for myself. I'm in love with my husband. I will not allow you to insult me or him with your comments.

Sami: Mom, keep your voice down. Do you want the whole world to hear you?

Marlena: Tony Dimera is a liar and a criminal. He has no value. He has no morals. And that's why I don't want him around you.

Sami: Yeah, well, it's too bad you don't get to tell me what to do.

Marlena: I can't do this anymore.

Roman: All right. I'll take care of it. All right, Sami. You and me -- alone. We're going to have a little talk. Let's go.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Hope: We're totally fine, Gran. You see? We're out of the hospital and we are in great shape.

Bo: Just like nothing ever happened.

Alice: Thank god.

Hope: So no more worrying, okay? Don't worry.

Alice: Well, Mickey said something.

Maggie: Well, of course he did. He's concerned about you.

Hope: Hey, what a beautiful candle. What's it for?

Maggie: Oh, Alice lit that when you and Bo were injured. It's been burning ever since as a sign that you are going to be all right.

Alice: It did it again.

Maggie: The candle's flame keeps flickering like that even though there's no obvious draft and no windows open.

Hope: Air conditioning?

Alice: It's off.

Bo: It's okay now. Hey, what's up with this?

Hope: Grandpa.

Alice: Well, I mean, I'm sure the picture was in the rightful place before you came over.

Alice: My goodness. That's odd. Where is it?

Bo: Where is what?

Hope: Where is what?

Alice: Your picture. The wedding picture of you and Bo, it's -- it's gone.

Bo: Well, maybe you moved it.

Alice: I didnít. No, I'm sure of it. I -- what is going on here?

Hope: Gran, don't worry, okay? I'm sure it'll turn up. We'll find it.

Maggie: Could you have taken it upstairs, Alice?

Alice: No. No, I'm certain I didnít. I --

[ Doorbell rings ]

Maggie: I'll get it.

Hope: Gran, you know what I was I thinking?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Maggie: Celeste!

Celeste: Hi, darling.

Maggie: Hello.

Celeste: How are you?

Maggie: So good to see you.

Celeste: Bo.

Bo: Hey. Hi.

Celeste: Hope.

Hope: Hi, Celeste. How are you?

Celeste: Oh, thank god you two are all right.

Hope: We're on our way home.

Celeste: Oh, that's wonderful news. Well, listen, I'm sorry to interrupt your family gathering here...

Maggie: Oh, don't be silly.

Celeste: But I stopped by because I have a check here for Alice, and I wanted to bring it in person. It's my donation to the Horton foundation, darling.

Alice: Oh, thank you so much. That's so sweet of you.

Celeste: Well, since I didn't get a chance to donate during the fashion show, you know...

Maggie: Oh, Celeste was probably babysitting Theo, of course.

Hope: How is the little guy?

Celeste: He is wonderful, and getting just so big already. But anyway, listen, I don't want to interrupt your family gathering, so... I'm so glad that you two are all right, really.

Hope: Thank you.

Alice: And thank you for coming, dear. And thank you for the check.

Celeste: My pleasure.

Hope: Celeste, wait.

Celeste: Yes, darling?

Hope: You have ESP, right?

Celeste: Quite often, yes.

Hope: We're trying to figure out who could have attacked us at the fashion show. Do you -- I don't know -- do you get any vibes?

Bo: Hope, do we have to do this right

Hope: Brady --

Celeste: As a matter of fact, when I was getting out of the car in your grandmother's driveway, I did get a very strange vibration. Has something been amiss here?

Maggie: The photos and, uh, the candle.

Celeste: Is there a photo missing?

Hope: Yes. Yes, of Bo and me.

Bo: Hey, we don't have time for playing games.

Celeste: Oh, this is a very bad sign.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Lucas: You can't be serious. There must be a mistake.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Marlena: Hey there.

John: Hey, honey.

Marlena: How did it go with Tony?

John: Well, I'm not convinced that he wasn't involved in the attack on Bo and Hope. What's up with you and Sami?

Marlena: Well, she won't listen to reason. Roman's trying to talk to her right now.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Sami: Dad, this is so unfair.

Roman: So unfair? Sami, it's so simple. You just have to face up to your mistakes, that's all.

Sami: I am.

Roman: You abused your position at this hospital. You falsified records. Damn, you're lucky Abe didn't press charges.

Sami: I'm lucky?

Roman: Yes!

Sami: Lucky? I have no job and no money and no way to support myself, dad.

Roman: You'll think of something.

Sami: I may not have loved that job, but it was a steady paycheck, and I thought maybe -- maybe one day I could work my way up to administrator. Now my life is completely ruined.

Roman: Oh, come on, come on, don't be so dramatic. Everybody goes through rough patches.

Sami: Yeah, and I know exactly when mine started -- when my mom slept with John while she was still married to you. God, it makes me sick to even think about it.

Roman: And we don't have to relive it.

Sami: That's easy for you to say, dad. You didn't have to walk in on them having sex in that boardroom. God, and John didn't even show remorse for it, did he? He just wanted to destroy our family.

Roman: Sami, Sami, you can't blame your problems on other people -- not John, not anybody else.

Sami: Why can't you even try to understand what I'm going through? You know, I have dreams, dreams that I want so badly to come true.

Roman: Okay, Sami. What are those dreams?

Sami: I want to be with Brandon. I love him still. I love him so much, and I know that we could be happy together.

Roman: Have you even heard from Brandon?

Sami: Well, no, but that's only because he needs time. He needs time to get over what I have done.

Roman: My god! Sa-- Sami, you lied to him about something very, very important.

Sami: So what he is not the father of Lexie's baby, so in the end, no harm done.

Roman: No harm?! Think what you're saying. You broke the trust in that relationship.

Sami: Because I was trying to save the relationship!

Roman: Sami -- Sami, please, please listen to me, okay? If you keep lying, you keep scheming, you keep playing the victim, you are never going to find a man to settle down with, you are never going to be happy.

Sami: This is really great, dad. Now I find out that my own dad doesn't even believe in me.

Roman: Oh, you know that's not true.

Sami: You know, I really wish Eric would just come home. My twin brother is apparently the only person that I can Count on, the only person who believes in me and has never judged me.

Roman: I'm not being judgmental. I just want you to face the truth in yourself, that's all.

Sami: Really? What about you, dad? Shouldn't you face the truth in yourself?

Roman: What the hell are you talking about?

Sami: Your relationship with Kate is a joke.

Roman: Stop right there.

Sami: You are completely wrong for each other.

Roman: Sami, we've been through this before.

Sami: Yes, we have been through this, and you never listen to me! Why can't you just get back together with mom, and we can be a family again?

Roman: We are a family! Marlena and I are never going to get back together again. You have to accept that. But we'll always be your parents, and we will always love you. But we'll be damned if we are going to stand around and watch our daughter self-destruct.

Sami: I will not stay away from Tony Dimera. If that's what you're about to say next, you can just forget it.

Roman: Sami, listen to me!

Sami: If I want to get close to him, I will, because he doesn't tell me what to do! He is my friend! And there is nothing that you, mom, or John can say that will change my mind about that, so don't even try it!

Marlena: Sami.

Sami: Give me a break.

Marlena: Sami Ė

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Marlena: Didn't go so well, huh?

Roman: Could have made it worse. You know what they say -- as soon as something is forbidden, it becomes all that more attractive. Well, I think you telling her to stay away from Tony is only driving her closer to him. In fact, I think she's gonna get even tighter with Tony just to spite us.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Sami: Well, Tony, I have great news. I have been fired. I have lost my job. So now I'm probably going to lose my apartment, and I have no way to support my son.

Tony: Sami, you're going to be fine. Hey, it was a job at the hospital. It was no big deal. Huh? It wasn't such a great job.

Sami: Tony, that was the best job I could get.

Tony: Yes, but you could do better. You're capable of so much more. You'll find a position that's much more fulfilling for you.

Sami: You think so?

Tony: Absolutely. Listen to me. I don't want you to worry about financial things. I'll find some way of taking care of it.

Sami: Tony, that is really -- really generous of you. But I do have to find a career for myself, okay? I just can't rely on you for everything. But you're right. I was undervalued and underpaid here. I deserve to make what I am worth.

Tony: Ha ha. Atta girl.

Sami: I'm going to find a great job with perks and benefits and enough time so that I can really take care of will.

Tony: Absolutely, and I'll help you. Yeah, I'll put in a good word, but, please, don't be afraid to ask.

Sami: Tony, that is really sweet of you. I knew I could count on you.

Tony: Ha ha ha ha ha.

Brittany: I have to prep Mr. Dimera for a fin e exam before they release him.

Sami: You hear that, Tony? You are going home.

Tony: Yes. Well, you will visit soon, I hope -- at the mansion.

Sami: Of course I will. We're friends, right?

Tony: Always.

Brittany: I hate to be pushy, but scoot.

Sami: Oh, yeah, of course. I'm leaving. Um... I'll see you soon, Tony.

Tony: Soon.

Tony: [ Thinking ] We'll spend lots more time together, Samantha. And through you, my dear, I'll gain the upper hand with all my enemies.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: Yep, go ahead. Keep working for the Dimeras. Throw your life away.

Lucas: And you know from what, personal experience?

Kate: Yeah, as a matter of fact, I do.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Sami: Well, I am finally out of here. I am so glad to be rid of this dead-end job, I can't even tell you.

Woman: Sami --

Sami: No. Adios, everybody.

Woman: Sami, wait. A call came in for you earlier. It sounded important.

Sami: Oh, I knew it. I knew that he would come back to me.

Marlena: Sami, who's coming back?

Sami: It's from Brandon. He says there's an important letter from him waiting for me at my apartment.

Lucas: Sami, wait a minute. How do you know that's good news?

Sami: Of course it's good news. Brandon wants to get back together with me. I just know it. Brandon has come back for me. My life is perfect now.

Marlena: Sami, I dot t want you getting your hopes up.

Sami: No, you are not ruining this for me. I am not going to hear another negative word out of any of you. Brandon and I are meant to be together. He is the love of my life.

Lucas: Wait, Sami -- I'm gonna make sure she's okay.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: Lucas, wait. Lucas!

Marlena: Oh...

Marlena: I've got a very bad feeling about this.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Bo: I don't believe in omens.

Hope: Then how do you explain it?

Bo: A draft from the flue.

Hope: Brady, you shut the flue months ago.

Bo: The candle went out. It's no big deal.

Alice: All of a sudden, I'm very cold.

Hope: Oh, Gran.

Maggie: Would you like me to get you a shawl?

Alice: No, no, I'm fine, dear. Will you re-light the candle, please?

Maggie: Yes.

Alice: Now, where is that picture? I don't understand how it can be missing.

Hope: Gran, I'll look for it. I'm sure it will turn up. It's bound to. Okay...

Bo: Isn't this getting a little silly?

Hope: What, you're not taking any of this seriously?

Bo: Hey, couldn't it be that Mrs. H is getting a little forgetful?

Hope: No.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

[ Cellular phone rings ]

Bo: Brady.

John: Bo, John Black.

Bo: Hey, man. What's up?

John: Giving you a heads-up. Tony was just released from the hospital.

Bo: Got it.

John: If he's the one who attacked you and Hope at the fashion show, you might want to watch your back.

Bo: Hey, thanks for the warning, but I think the best defense is a good offense. I know exactly what I got to do.

John: Keep me informed.

Bo: Yeah, I will.

Hope: What was that about?

Bo: I got to run a little errand. I'll be back soon.

Hope: Uh --

Maggie: Where's he going?

Hope: I don't know, but I'm about to find out. I'll see you girls later.

Celeste: Okay.

Hope: Gran, good night.

Maggie: Bye-bye, bye-bye.

Hope: Good to see you, Celeste.

Celeste: Bye, darling. That bad vibration I had -- it just got a lot worse.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Kate: Wow. Sami wouldn't listen to you. I'm shocked.

Roman: Well, maybe the father of her child can get through to her.

Kate: Oh, I doubt that. I don't think anyone could get through to her.

Roman: Yeah. Yeah. You and my daughter have that in common.

Kate: Now, what's that supposed to mean?

Roman: It means that no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to break down the walls you put up.

Kate: Well, maybe the walls are there for a reason, Roman.

Roman: I love you, Kate. I love you. All I want is for you to be happy. I just -- I just wish to hell you'd open up to me. Stop shutting me out. Tell me what's troubling you.

Kate: I canít.

Roman: It has to do with your past, doesn't it?

Kate: Roman, please.

Roman: Kate. Look, we can do this the easy way, which means you come clean and tell me what the problem is, or we can do it the hard way, which means I keep digging and digging until I get the answer. What's it gonna be?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

John: So, Sami lost her job at the hospital. Well, you know what I say? She's young, and she's got her whole life ahead of her.

Marlena: Her whole life... to make more and more mistakes.

John: Not if she learns from them. And maybe she will this time.

Marlena: Maybe. She's so lost right now. I wish there was something we could do for her, some way to help her.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Sami: I knew it. I knew that Brandon would want us to get back together. Oh, this is gonna be so great. It's gonna be so much better than before. Brandon's --

Lucas: Sami. Sami! Sami! Sami, wake up. Wake up, Sami. Sami, it's me -- Lucas. Wake up.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Tony: You know, you don't have to wheel me about like a sack of potatoes. I am perfectly capable of walking.

Brittany: It's hospital policy, Mr. Dimera.

Tony: Well, damn hospital policy. I am not an invalid.

Bart: Don't worry, nurse. I'll make sure Count Dimera tows the line.

Tony: Oh, Bart, do us a favor and shut up.

Brittany: Mr. Dimera, just remember not to overdo it, okay? Give yourself a chance to heal.

Tony: Mm. Thank you.

Bart: Very much. And don't worry. Don't worry about a thing, nurse. I'll keep an eye on him, all right? I'll call you with updates.

Brittany: Okay, you guys take care.

Tony: Mm-hmm. Shall we?

Bart: You got it, Count.

Tony: Ah, thank you.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Bo: Hey! You're not going anywhere.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Roman: Kate, I know all about it. I know your problems stem from the Dimeras. I know Stefano left you a secret bequest -- hush money for services rendered. You've just never told me what those services are. But I got a feeling if you talked to me out --

Kate: No!

Roman: You can't let the past haunt you, Kate. Damn it, you want to get rid of those ghosts, talk to me.

Kate: Please. Please, I can't take it. Don't put me through the third degree now.

Roman: Okay.

Kate: What I really need for you to do right now is hold me.

Roman: You got it.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

John: Sweetheart, Sami's not going to let you help her. She's already made her mind up about Tony. You can see that, can't you?

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

John: Mm-hmm.

Marlena: The more we warn her, the more she's drawn to him.

John: Mm-hmm. So maybe you should just... resign yourself to the fact that she's a grown woman and she needs to live her own life.

Marlena: What kind of life does she have? This fantasy that Brandon's coming back to her, that they'll live happily ever after? That's why she's rushing home. John, it's not going to happen.

John: Well, you don't know that, do you?

Marlena: Not for a fact, but I've got a very strong feeling about it. That letter is not what she's expecting.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Lucas: Sami. Sami! Sami, wake up.

Sami: What is it? What happened?

Lucas: I don't know what happened. You must have passed out. Why?

Sami: Oh, god, I don't believe it.

Lucas: What? What? You don't believe what?

Sami: It's annulment papers, Lucas. Brandon sent me annulment papers to sign. Because he doesn't want to be married to me anymore. He -- he never wants to see me again.

Lucas: Sami, I am so sorry. It's going to be okay, all right?

Sami: No, no, it's not going to be okay, Lucas. My life is over. It is all over for me.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Maggie: Oh, here it is. Oh, right here in the drawer. Well, I guess that is one mystery solved.

Alice: Well, it's odd. I didn't put it there.

Celeste: Something strange is going on here, and it worries me terribly.

Alice: It's Bo and Hope, isn't it?

Celeste: They must be very careful not to cross a powerful enemy.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Bo: You're a pathetic coward. You attack us in the dark from behind. You're not going to get another shot at us. I'm going to put you away for the rest of your miserable life.

Bart: You wouldn't be threatening the Count, would you?

Tony: No, no. It's all right, Bart. It seems a new Brady-Dimera feud has begun.

Bo: You got that right.

Tony: Yeah. May the best man win.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Hope: Not now, Brady. Not now.

Bo: I'm gonna rip his heart out.

Bo: Dimera's responsible. He declared war. It's gonna be a fight to the finish.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

(On the next Days of Lives)

Sami: You ruined my life. All of you. As far as I'm concerned, I don't have parents anymore.

Tony: They're not going to get away with it this time. I'm not going to let this one go.

Rex: Let me fight them with you.

Tony: Two Dimeras against the Bradys? I don't think they'll stand a chance.
