Rex: I don't need you to defend me.

Mimi: He's accusing you of attempted murder.

Rex: Right. And he's a Brady. Which means the police will treat him better.

Mimi: So what are you going to do?

Rex: I'm going to handle it in my own way, all right?

Shawn-d: What are you waiting for? Why don't you show me what you got?

Mimi: Okay, you guys, calm down! There's got to be a better way to settle this besides punching each other's lights out.

Rex: Just stay out of it, Mimi. It doesn't concern you.

Mimi: You're getting all upset over nothing.

Rex: The guy broke into my house, hacked into my computer. I'm going to teach you to mess with me.

Mimi: Rex, stop it! Please don't hurt him!

Belle: I'm soaked. Let's get out of here.

Philip: No, not yet. Hold on.

Cassie: That'll teach them.

Bart: My suit is not drip-dry! This way! Here, here, here!

Cassie: Peeping toms -- lurking around while I'm sunbathing.

Bart: What the hell is going on here? I hope this polyester doesn't shrink up on me.

Roy: The problems that we have been having with the security system may be interfering with the sprinkler timer. I want to check the main box back at the house.

Bart: All right, let's do it.

Philip: All right. Go. Go, go, go.

Hope: It was really nice of Mickey and Maggie to bring Zack by, wasn't it?

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: Poor little guy. He seemed kind of worried, didn't he?

Bo: Yeah, he did. He didn't have to be, thanks to the fact that his mom is so hardheaded.

Hope: I guess you would know, huh?

Bo: Mm-hmm. I am the easygoing one in the family.

Hope: Ha ha ha. Okay, okay, okay. Maybe I can be a little set in my ways.

Bo: A little?

Hope: But you know what?

Bo: What?

Hope: You would be totally lost without me, Brady, and you know that.

Bo: I do know that. I would be totally lost without you. So would the boys. I'm going to find the bastard who did this to you.

Hope: Correction -- we're going to find the bastards who did this to us.

Jack: Like any help with that?

Woman: Everything looks good. I'll go notify the doctor.

Sami: Thank you so much.

John: He's awake?

Marlena: Just now.

Sami: Tony, I am so glad that you are okay.

Marlena: Sami. He hasn't recovered from his wounds yet.

Tony: Wound?

Sami: Don't you remember what happened, Tony?

Tony: All I can remember is being in this hospital, and, Sami, you were calling my name. You got your voice back.

Sami: Good as new.

Tony: Oh. Oh, thank god.

Sami: Oh, Tony, don't worry about me. Let's just focus on you -- getting you well and getting you out of here.

Tony: What happened to me?

Sami: You were stabbed with a scalpel, and you fell into a coma.

Tony: Oh, yes, I remember that. Strange man with a knife...

John: Maya's henchman. Should've seen that one coming.

Sami: I tried to call out to you. But I couldn't get your attention.

Tony: Yeah, but you tried to help me and to protect me.

Sami: Well, I guess it didn't really work out that way. I'm so sorry.

Tony: No, no, no, no reason for you to be sorry. My god, you tried to save my life. I will never forget that. I mean, that you found it within yourself after all that you've been going through. If anyone had a right to be silent, it was you.

Sami: I'm not holding a grudge, Tony. We worked everything out before all of this happened, don't you remember?

Tony: Yeah... yeah, I'm beginning to recall some of the things. Uh, you and Lucas were in the hospital room with me, and...

Lucas: Yeah, we were there when you got out of your surgery, Tony. And then you lapsed into a coma.

Tony: Right. And I... had placed Sami's hand in yours, and I asked you to take care of her for me. Did you do that, Lucas?

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

Bo: Come on.

Jennifer: Here you go.

Bo: Make yourself comfy.

Hope: What did you -- oh. Hi. What did you do, hold up the gift shop?

Jennifer: You look great.

Hope: Is she talking to us?

Jennifer: I'm talking about you. I'm serious.

Jack: Well, you're obviously feeling a lot better if you're already talking about going after the person who did this to you.

Bo: Yeah.

Jennifer: I can't even believe that someone would do such a thing. Think about all the people that were around that day.

Jack: Do you have any leads?

Hope: Well, the Salem P.D.'s working on it.

Bo: Things are still in the early stages. Only so much investigation you can do from a hospital bed.

Jack: Well, I meant what I said -- anything I can do to help.

Bo: We'd appreciate it. We could use all the help we can get.

Jennifer: Yeah, well, whoever did this doesn't stand a chance. He definitely picked the wrong two people to mess with.

Hope: Yeah.

Tony: So, did he take good care of you?

Lucas: Of course I did... as much as she'd let me.

Sami: Yeah, Lucas did the best he could. I'm just glad you're back now, Tony.

Woman: Dr. Evans, the board's about to convene on that disciplinary matter.

Marlena: It's time already? Thanks, Brittany. Sami, we shouldn't keep them waiting.

Sami: I can't leave now. Tony just woke up.

Marlena: You can leave. It's about your future.

Sami: It's about Lexie's paternity test.

Tony: Oh, I see. Well, there does come a time in one's life when they have to face the music for one's actions.

Marlena: Sami, let's go.

Sami: I'll be back as soon as I can, Tony.

Tony: Yeah. Good luck, my dear.

Tony: Well, I'm so glad you decided to stay, John. I have a few questions.

John: That makes two of us.

Hope: Oh, please, please help me out with these.

Bo: Yeah, right.

Jennifer: No, they were giving everybody samples in the gift shop. We've had some.

Hope: Jack, don't let me down.

Jack: All right, I'll have one.

Hope: Thank you. We should probably put these flowers in some water.

Jennifer: You know what? Let me get a vase.

Bo: No, no, Jen, you stay here. I'll take care of it.

Jack: Right. I'll, uh, I'll give you a hand. After you. Ahem.

Jennifer: Ha ha ha ha ha!

Hope: Guess it's a job for two men, huh?

Jennifer: I guess so. They were very subtle, though, weren't they?

Hope: Oh, yeah, really. They forgot the flowers.

Jennifer: You know what? I'm glad that we have this time alone, anyway, because I feel like I haven't seen you the whole summer.

Hope: Yeah, I know. Hey, once I'm out of here, we will have a girls' night out, okay? Maybe try that new cafe downtown. What do you say?

Jennifer: We were so worried about you, Hope. You know, Shawn and Caroline -- they were here earlier. And gram, of course, was here. She said father Christopher did a special mass for you and Bo.

Hope: Everyone's prayers emended to work. Thank god.

Jennifer: I'm just so glad you're okay. Mm.

Hope: Did you ever have any doubt? We Horton women are very tough. Have you forgotten?

Jennifer: Yes, we are so tough. Ha ha ha ha.

Hope: So, how's the youngest Horton woman, huh?

Jennifer: She's tough.

Hope: She is tough, also. Is Abby still at camp?

Jennifer: No, she's home from camp. Now she's at softball.

Hope: Hey, is she a good player?

Jennifer: Well, she's better than I am, and she's better than Jack.

Hope: That doesn't say much.

Jennifer: He's not into sport b but last week, they were playing softball, and Abby -- she hit a line drive and I'm telling you, that ball hit him right in the --

Hope: Oh, no!

Jennifer: Yes, right there. Yeah, it was painful.

Hope: I bet.

Jennifer: A little TLC was all it took, if you know what I mean.

Hope: It seems like you two are still on your honeymoon.

Jennifer: Oh, yeah, like you and Bo aren't?

Hope: Mm... I think we're gonna have to take it easy for the next few weeks. But we'll have a lot of fun making up for it.

Jennifer: Ha ha ha ha! You know what, Hope? It feels like Jack and i have been making up for all these years that we were apart. Do you know that the sex now is better than it has ever been? Jack would kill me if he knew that I just said that to you. Isn't that crazy?

Hope: That's great.

Jennifer: I know. It's like he's a totally new person.

Hope: It sounds like it. He's a newlywed again. What do you expect?

Jennifer: I don't think it's just that. He's working on this new story. Some exposé that will rock Salem, as he says.

Hope: What's it about?

Jennifer: I don't know. All he'll tell me is that it's very important, and it could possibly get dangerous.

Hope: That doesn't sound so good to me.

Jennifer: No, but, you know, I have to trust him. He says that this story is going to win him the Pulitzer and get him a job at the "New York Times."

Hope: Wait a minute. Wait. The "New York --" what about Salem? What about the talk show?

Jennifer: Well, we still have the talk show, you know. But it's always been more my thing than Jack's, you know? He wants to go back to his roots. He wants to be an investigative reporter. He wants to move on. He doesn't want to do stories about cooking and taming your toddler anymore.

Hope: You know, I liked that episode.

Jennifer: He just wants more. And if the job comes up at the "New York Times," I mean, what does the bible say? "Whither thou goest, I will go."

Hope: You have to think about your family, Jen. I mean, what if this is just another one of Jack's harebrained schemes? Do you really think that you two can survive it?

Bo: I haven't been able to get much investigating done, but now that Hope's feeling better, I want to find the psycho who did this. Got anything for me?

Jack: Well, nothing concrete, but the nature of the attack would indicate that it was personal.

Bo: Yeah.

Jack: Someone's got some serious anger issues with you two.

Bo: No kidding.

Jack: So the question is, who have the two of you ticked off lately?

Rex: Look, Shawn broke into my house, headed into my computer, accused me of committing a heinous crime, and you're worried about me hurting him?

Shawn-d: All right, cool it, Rex, all right? You can yell at me all you want, but do not take this out on Mimi.

Mimi: Shawn, it's okay. I'll be fine. It's just --

Shawn-d: No, it's fine. I can handle him, all right?

Rex: You're through, Brady. You're not gonna get away with this.

Shawn-d: You are not going to get away with what you've done, you liar!

Cassie: Wait, Shawn, let go!

Mimi: Rex! Rex! Stop it!

[ Both panting ]

Philip: You okay?

Belle: That was way too close, and I'm soaking.

Philip: Well, you know, if you want, you can, um...

Belle: If you suggest that I take my clothes off again, I'm going to deck you.

Philip: I was just going to say I have a sweatshirt in the back if you want to borrow it.

Belle: Oh. No, I'm fine.

Philip: Okay.

Belle: How can you be so calm? We have to do something.

Philip: Take it easy. We made it this far, didn't we?

Belle: I'm not talking about us, Philip. I'm talking about Shawn. He's still in there. We have to help him.

Philip: Look, Belle, don't, okay?

Belle: We need to do something, Philip.

Philip: Shawn is a resourceful guy. He's the one that helped us out of that tight spot on the ship, remember? Try not to worry about him, okay? And you know he'd want you out here where it's safe, anyways.

Belle: I just feel so helpless. I wish I knew what was going on in there.

Philip: Shawn's going to be coming out here any minute.

Belle: I hope you're right, 'cause if we're right about Rex and he did try and kill Bo and Hope, then Shawn's in deep trouble.

Jennifer: You know, Hope, I'll have to admit, I was afraid that this would be another one of Jack's crazy shenanigans, but, you know, that's the old Jack. The new Jack is completely different.

Hope: Well, maybe he has changed. Jen, what is it? What's wrong?

Jennifer: He's just -- he's so stubborn, Hope, and he will do whatever he has to do to go after a headline, and that's what I'm afraid of. I'm afraid he's going to get really hurt out there.

Hope: Jen, he's going to be careful. He may want this story, but he wants to come home to you and Abby even more.

Jennifer: I know that he does.

Hope: I do kind of understand, though, where Jack's coming from. He needs to chase the story like Bo and I need to chase the fugitives. Yeah, sure, we've had some close calls, but we've always managed to dodge the bullets.

Jennifer: Yeah, until now.

Hope: Correction. We were not on a case when this happened. We let our guard down. We were vulnerable. Jack knows what he's getting into. He'll be prepared.

Jennifer: I hope so.

Hope: How much you wanna bet Bo's probably lecturing him right now?

Bo: The first name that comes to mind is Dimera. Hope and I spoiled a little investment plan of his. Probably cost that maggot millions. We took what could have been a very powerful weapon, and made sure he didn't get his hands on it.

Jack: Did this all happen before Tony landed in the hospital?

Bo: After.

Jack: After. So if he was in a coma --

Bo: We don't know that he really was.

Jack: Whoa.

Bo: Dimera turned up missing from his hospital room at the exact time Hope and I were attacked.

Jack: What do you mean by missing?

Bo: He was AWOL. And then he showed up here at the hospital in a different room, apparently still unconscious. Some dyslexic orderly put him in the wrong room.

Jack: Well, looks like we've got a lot of work to do.

Bo: Yeah. What I need is for Dimera to wake up. I got some questions for him.

Tony: So, how long have I been here?

Lucas: A little less than a week.

Tony: I've wasted so much time. Oh, by the way, how are the twins? How's Lexie?

Lucas: The twins are very concerned about you. And Lexie ran in right after it happened.

John: So you don't remember anything about the last few days?

Tony: Well, as I told you, the only thing I recall is Sami calling my name, that man with a knife, uh... I remember slightly that Lucas and Sami were in the same hospital room with me, and that's about it. So what ever happened to the man who stabbed me?

Lucas: Uh, dead. He took a bad fall and hit his head.

Tony: What a shame. Well, I suppose all our problems are solved.

John: Well, not quite.

Man: I thank all of you people for being here today. Mr. Kiriakis will not be joining us due to illness, but he's given his proxy to Dr. Evans. Well, let's get down to business, shall we? We're here to discuss a matter this hospital takes very seriously. Samantha Brady has used her position to access private files and tamper with test results. It's incumbent upon this board to send a clear statement that such actions will not be tolerated at university hospital. Since this is a hearing, the employee in question has the right to speak in her own defense. Miss Brady, anything you wish to say?

Sami: Yes. Yes, there is.

Mimi: Rex, no! You guys, quit it! Shawn, we're out of here right now. Come on.

Rex: This is far from over.

Shawn-d: Well, you got that right, Rex!

Mimi: Please, now!

Cassie: What the hell was that about?

Shawn-d: Damn it, I was right!

Mimi: About what?

Shawn-d: Your boyfriend was involved in the attack on my parents! And I am more convinced now than ever.

Philip: Look, Bo and Hope Brady were jumped and attacked in the dark. Now, Shawn's in Rex's house in the light of day, and he's totally on his guard, and besides, Mimi's in there with him.

Belle: So what's she going to do?

Philip: Look, Rex would never do anything to Shawn in front of her.

Belle: But even if Rex did do something, Mimi would think that Rex had a good reason to. She's so head-over-heels for that guy. He could persuade her of just about anything.

Philip: You know, they seem so wrong for each other.

Belle: You think so?

Philip: Yeah. I mean, I would think Mimi would be with someone down-to-earth, you know, somebody with a great sense of humor.

Belle: I guess you're right, but ever since Kevin left town, Mimi's been so lonely. She's so insecure, like, you know...

Philip: She always has been.

Belle: Which I don't understand, 'cause she's so smart and funny and pretty, and yet she acts like a guy's doing her a huge favor by asking her out. Why do you have to be the lucky one to be going out with Rex? Why can't Rex be lucky? But, no, she'll never buy it.

Philip: Yeah, she's always had pretty low self-esteem, I guess.

Belle: I think it's because she always felt she didn't measure up to us because of her family, because they had problems. It's just sad, because she used to tell me, you know, she'd be proud to have parents like mine.

Philip: Right, meaning that she's ashamed of her own.

Belle: Well, she doesn't even know where her dad is. He left her mom a long time ago. She told you that, right?

Philip: Yeah, I mean, she didn't give me any details, but I know her dad is gone.

Belle: I think she's just ashamed. She doesn't invite me over to her house anymore. I haven't seen her mom in ages. Uh, where's Shawn? He should be out of here by now.

Philip: Well, all we can do is wait, right? We can't exactly go in there like this.

Belle: I must look horrible.

Philip: You look great.

Belle: Yeah, right.

Philip: No, I mean it. You're beautiful.

Belle: You know, maybe I will take that sweatshirt -- something to dry off with.

Belle: Yoo-hoo, Philip.

Philip: I'm sorry.

Belle: I just need something to dry off with.

Philip: Yeah. Um, right. Hold on.

Philip: Wha--

Belle: Philip.

Cassie: He broke into your room, Rex? Oh, my god. What are we going to do?

Rex: About what? There's nothing to worry about.

Cassie: I saw the blood stain on your shirt and on the pipe. I covered for you. Would you stop playing games with me? My god, just tell me what happened at the fashion show.

Rex: My god, stop talking about that!

Sami: I know what I did was wrong. I was under extreme stress at the time, and it obviously clouded my judgment. I realize that that's not a good excu - -- in fact, there is no excuse for my actions -- but please, I've learned my lesson. You have to believe me. I've never done anything like this before... not when I was an employee of this hospital.

Man: Well, that's all, Miss Brady?

Sami: No, um, I just need another minute, please.

Man: Go on.

Sami: You see, this job -- it's all I have. Miss Martinson, you have children, don't you?

Miss Martinson: Two boys.

Sami: Well, put yourself in my shoes -- being a single parent, raising those two boys all on your own. As hard as that is, imagine what I'm going through. If I lose this job, how am I supposed to support my son? I try to be a good role model to him, and I know I am not perfect, but I think that I deserve a second chance. I think that I deserve a chance to prove myself. But... I'm begging you, if not for me, then for my son. Please. Please don't fire me.

Man: Thank you, Miss Brady. We'll take a short recess before we vote.

Marlena: You did fine.

Bo: All right. We got some water for these flowers.

Hope: Oh.

Jennifer: Great. There we go.

Jack: Um, look, I'm sure...

Bo: That'll work?

Hope: Perfect.

Jack: Bo and Hope need their rest, and I - I'm -- I got a load of work to do, so we should be heading out.

Hope: Why do I get the feeling this has a lot more to do with you needing to work than us needing rest? It's okay, Jack. I understand.

Jack: Well...

Jennifer: All right. I'll call you later.

Hope: Okay.

Jennifer: I love you.

Hope: I love you, too.

Jennifer: Bye.

Hope: Bye, sweetie. Hey, thanks for the jammies for me, for Bo.

Jennifer: Oh, you're welcome.

Hope: Wait. How about taking the chocolate off my hands?

Jennifer: No, absolutely not.

Hope: Two boxes of it.

Jennifer: No. We can't.

Jack: No. No, okay... we'll talk later, all right?

Bo: Yeah, we will.

Jennifer: All right, I love you.

Hope: I love you, too. Bye.

Jennifer: Bye, sweetie.

Hope: Thank you for everything. Thanks, Jack.

Jack: Bye-bye. Thank you. Thanks for getting better.

Bo: I hate these things.

Hope: So?

Bo: Hmm?

Hope: What did you need to discuss with Jack that you couldn't say in front of me?

Bo: Just guy stuff.

Hope: Guy stuff?

Bo: Yeah, NASCAR, Mets doing pretty good.

Hope: Nice try, but try again.

Bo: Dimera.

Hope: What about him?

Bo: Well, it was quite a coincidence that he turned up missing at the exact time you and I were attacked. When it comes to Dimera, I -- I don't believe in coincidences.

Woman: Excuse me, Mr. Black?

John: Mm-hmm?

Woman: I'm sorry to interrupt, but Dr. Evans wanted me to tell you that the board's in recess.

John: Thank you. Excuse me, will you? I want to be with Marlena and Sami, but I'll be back in a minute.

Tony: Well, I'm not going anywhere. Obviously, there are certain things going on that I don't understand. Would you like to fill in the blanks, Lucas?

Lucas: We have some bad news, Tony. It's about the substance we were hoping to secure.

Tony: Go on.

Lucas: Look, some things happened that were out of my control, and the cave where the substance is, um... well, it was cut off.

Tony: What?

Lucas: Bo and Hope Brady found out about the substance, what we could use it for. They thought it was going to end up in the wrong hands, so they blew the cave, Tony. I can't believe it.

Tony: Dear god.

Lucas: That's not all. The saints they are -- they gave away Horton foundation money to the Native Americans on that land. Now, do you believe that one?

Tony: Damn them for interfering.

Lucas: I'm so sorry. I am. I did everything I could.

Tony: I suppose there's no good reason for living in the past, is there? What's done is done.

Lucas: The problem is I don't think it's over. At least, John Black doesn't think so.

Shawn-d: What are you guys doing?

Belle: Nothing. It was nothing. We were just --

Philip: We were just waiting for you, bro. You think something's going on in there?

Shawn-d: Let's discuss what's going on out here first. So what happened? You two go for a swim or something?

Belle: Oh, that -- no.

Philip: No, it was the sprinklers. They went off after we climbed out the window. Now tell us -- did you find out anything new about Rex?

Cassie: Rex, just relax. Think back to the fashion show and -- and tell me exactly what happened.

Cassie: Did you have anything to do with the attack on Bo and Hope?

Rex: Look, I don't know what happened, all right? I already told you, I can't remember.

Marlena: Oh, honey. Hi, hi, hi.

John: Tell me all about it.

Marlena: Well, oh, my gosh.

John: Hmm?

Marlena: You know, she just -- she feels awful about all of this, and I -- I'm sure she's learned her lesson.

John: Hmm. Sounds like you're going to let her off the hook.

Marlena: No, no, not entirely, but I -- I thought about suggesting to the board that they not terminate her, but that they -- they give her a different job in a different part of the hospital where she won't have access to confidential records.

John: Mm, big mistake.

Marlena: Excuse me?

John: I want you to think objectively, doc, like the doctor that you are and the board member that you are, and not as a mother.

Marlena: Well, I --

John: What Sami did was horrible -- come on. She not only hurt herself, she hurt Abraham. She hurt Lexie. She hurt Brandon. Now, I don't want to come off as the evil stepfather here, but this isn't her first offense, is it? This isn't the first time that she has sworn that she is so sorry, she'll never do this again. You heard her whine.

Marlena: What do you want me to do, John? Vote against my daughter?

John: Look, all I want is what is best for Sami. If she isn't punished for this, what's going to stop her from doing it again? I know this isn't what you want to hear, but a slap on the wrist isn't going to cut it. The bill is due, Sami's got to pay for what she's done. She needs to be severely reprimanded and fired.

Tony: What do you mean, you don't think this is over?

Lucas: Bo and Hope were attacked at the Basic Black fashion show.

Tony: What? That's terrible. Are they all right?

Lucas: They were pretty banged up, but they should recover.

Tony: My god.

Lucas: Yeah, but, um...

Tony: Is there something else you want to tell me?

Lucas: There was a mix-up at the hospital, and at the exact time of the attacks, you were unaccounted for.

Tony: And?

Lucas: Well, John knows that you had a stake in the substance at the Indian reservation, and he also knows that Bo and Hope wanted to ruin our plans.

Tony: I see.

Lucas: For some reason, he thought that you just popped out of your coma, got yourself to that fashion show, and bashed Bo and Hope on the head for revenge.

Jennifer: Here you go. You need to slow down, and you need to come up for some air. Jack.

Jack: Can't. The sooner I break this story, the sooner I'm going to be able to prove to the Horton family that Jack Deveraux is respectable and worthy of you -- worthy of being a part of the Horton clan.

Jennifer: Stop, stop, and look at me. You do not have to prove anything. You are worthy.

Jack: I love it that you believe that about me, but I gotta believe it, too. Can you understand that?

Hope: [ Groans ]

Bo: Well, that'll keep you.

Dr. Ruiz: I thought I would find you two together.

Bo: Yeah, separate rooms never worked for us.

Dr. Ruiz: Just finished going through your test results and wanted to give you the news at the same time.

Hope: What is it?

Dr. Ruiz: How would you like to go home?

Man: We’re about to resume.

John: Think about what I said. Good luck.

Man #2: Board members only. Sorry.

Sami: But I --

Man: I hope everyone has taken time to consider the matter before us and made their decision. So unless there's anything else, it's time for a vote.

Lucas: I would actually like to say a few words. Ahem. Now, I know that this is a, uh... unusual request, but I'd like to say a few things about Sami before you make your final decision -- as director of the Horton foundation.

Man: Any objections? You may proceed, Mr. Roberts. Please sit down.

Lucas: Thank you. I appreciate it. Ahem. Well, I'm sure you've all made up your minds by now, but hopefully, after you've heard what I have to say, you'll rethink your decision. Now, I'm not going to sit here and tell you what Sami did was acceptable. We all know it wasn't. It was wrong. It was ugly. And I know that because I'm the one who turned her in. But I will say that woman feels remorse. She is truly sorry for what she's done. And she's paid profusely for her mistake. I just don't think she can handle losing her job right now. My grandmother Alice Horton -- she's a champion of second chances. She appointed me head of the Horton foundation because she believed in me so much. Ladies and gentlemen of the board, I guess what I'm asking is, I want you to believe in Sami Brady. Please. Give her the second chance she deserves.

Man: Thank you, Mr. Roberts. We'll take your comments under consideration.

Lucas: Well, thank you. I appreciate your time. Have a great day.

Man: In addition to what we have just heard from Mr. Roberts and Ms. Brady, we have all read the statements from Dr. Carver, whose records Ms. Brady tampered with, and from Eugenia Williams, the lab technician who's already been dismissed for her complicity in this matter. If there are no further questions, it's time for a vote.

Shawn-d: I didn't have a chance to check out that suspicious file on Rex's computer in detail, because he walked in the room.

Belle: Oh, my god, Shawn, he caught you?

Philip: So, what happened?

Shawn-d: Well, I did find out something about the guy. He's got serious anger issues. If Mimi hadn't walked in the room, I think he would've tried to bash my head in.

Philip: So you think he's hiding something?

Shawn-d: Oh, definitely. I'm more sure now than ever that he's responsible for that attack on my parents, and you can be damn sure that I'm going to prove it.

Cassie: You can't remember? Rex, it doesn't make any sense. Oh, my god, unless...

Rex: Don't say it. I'm sure the only reason I'm drawing a blank is because there's nothing to remember.

Cassie: I hope so.

Jennifer: Of course I understand. And I will do everything that I can to help you, but not because you have to prove anything, but because if it's that important to you, then it's that important to me.

Jack: Thank you.

Jennifer: Jack, I need to ask you one thing, though.

Jack: Name it.

Jennifer: You need to be very careful, because I know you. You're going to get in over your head, Jack, and --

Jack: Who -- me?

Jennifer: Yes -- you.

Jack: Ha ha ha.

Jennifer: Jack, listen to me. If anything never happened to you, I don't know what Abby and i would do.

Jack: Oh, come on, now listen to me. Nothing is going to happen, I promise. I promise. Okay, there is one thing you can do for me. I want a triple cheese...

Jennifer: Burger deluxe from Buddy's.

Jack: Right.

Jennifer: Gotcha.

Jack: Just to keep my strength up.

Jennifer: Okay.

Jack: And then those little, those spicy...

Jennifer: The little spicy curly fries, I know. Okay, cheese triple-stack deluxe coming up, spicy curly fries, and then on the way home, I will go to the drugstore and I'll get a bottle of antacid to wash it all down.

Jack: Right. Good.

[ Door closes ]

Jack: Mickey. Mickey, hi, this is Jack. Uh, yes, yeah, we just got back from the hospital seeing Bo and Hope, but that's not what I want to talk to you about. Look, um, I want to talk to you about my will. I want to make some changes.

Hope: Are you serious? We get to go home?

Dr. Ruiz: I'm going to prepare your discharge papers now.

Bo: Thanks, doc.

Dr. Ruiz: So take it easy. No intense physical activity, all right?

Bo: Yeah, okay.

Hope: Thank you, doctor.

Bo: Oh, we're outta here.

Hope: I cannot wait to get out of here. I don't want to see the inside of a hospital for as long as I live, not until our grandchildren are born, which is going to be a very, very long time.

Bo: Yeah, that sounds good and everything, but once I get you home and settled in, I'm coming back here.

Hope: Why?

Bo: 'Cause until we find out who attacked us and why, I'm going to be in Dimera's face.

Tony: Oh, John. My doctor just stepped out. Perhaps you can still catch him.

John: Excuse me?

Tony: Well, in case you need a witness that I was here the entire time you were gone. I understand you think that I magically disappeared from a hospital bed. Perhaps I should take my act to Las Vegas and give David Copperfield a run for his money.

John: Somebody tried to murder Bo and Hope, but you find that amusing?

Tony: You think that someone was me?

Sami: Leave him alone, John. Leave me alone, too.

John: Easy, Sami.

Sami: I heard you, John. I heard you tell my mom that you think I should get fired. How dare you? You know, this would be none of your damn business, anyway, if you weren't married to my mother, which you shouldn't be, in my book.

John: Look, I know that you're upset.

Sami: Yes, I am upset. How could you? Haven't you hurt me enough?

John: You need to calm down.

Sami: I am not going to calm down. I have a son to take care of, I have bills to pay, and you just don't care.

John: Of course I care.

Sami: You want to see me fired. If I get fired, I am blaming you entirely. Mom, what happened? What did they say?

Marlena: Sami, I'm sorry. The board voted against you. Because you switched the test results on Lexie's baby, they decided to let you go.

Sami: What about you, mom? Did you vote against me, too?

Marlena: I did, Sami. I'm sorry.

(On the next Days of Our Lives)

Marlena: He is trying to buy your affection. Can't you see that?

Sami: I see that you're jealous. Yeah, I think you want Tony for yourself.

Bo: I am going to put you away for the rest of your miserable life.

Tony: It seems a new Brady-Dimera feud has begun.

Celeste: This is a very bad sign.
