Lucas: I must be dreaming.
Lucas: Wait, Sami! Sami!
[ Door slams ]
Jennifer: Okay. [ Groans ]
All right. Oh, that felt good.
Jack: Yeah. But it feels
even better to stop.
Jennifer: Yes, it does.
Whew. Can I, uh, interest you in a shower, Mr. Deveraux?
Jack: Well, you'll notice,
Mrs. Deveraux, that I broke the 8-minute mark just now. The last mile on the way
home -- I just broke it. Of course, I had very good incentive.
Jennifer: Oh, I see.
Jack: To the shower.
Jennifer: To the shower.
[ Doorbell rings ]
Jack: Go away.
Jennifer: Go away.
[ Ring ]
Jennifer: Okay, okay,
okay. Just hold that thought. Stay right here.
Jack: Hold it, stay.
Jennifer: I'll get rid of
them, whoever it is.
Jennifer: Hi. Hi, Hope.
Hope: I'm sorry we didn't
call. I... I hope this isn't a bad time.
Belle: Hey, Phil.
Belle: I didn't think
you'd come all the way down here to work out.
Philip: Free membership.
Nice equipment. And it's mixed company. It's a big improvement from the base,
not to mention I don't have anybody yelling at me to drop and give 'em 20.
Belle: I can't even
Philip: You could do 20.
You could do 120.
Belle: No, I don't think
so, but I'm working on it. Hey, do you want to spot me on the bench press?
Belle: Uh... this one --
I'm trying to increase my weights.
Philip: All right. Are
you, uh, training for anything in particular?
Belle: Yeah -- no, of
course not. And now that I know exactly what you're up to, I don't have to
follow you around anymore.
Philip: You shouldn't have
been following me in the first place.
Belle: I know that now.
And I'm sorry I got you in trouble, but everything turned out okay, right?
Philip: Well, Maya's in
jail. That's all that matters.
Belle: Right. Okay.
Philip: All right.
Belle: So, what's your
Philip: I don't know. I
may not have one.
Tek: I didn't think you'd
be all that eager to return to the scene of the crime.
John: Ah, the sauna seems
like a pretty safe place to hang these days.
Tek: Yeah. And we can hope
you had your last near-death experience for a while.
Tek: Now that you and
brother "D" are in peace talks.
John: We're not exactly
talking. If we were, I'd just ask him what the hell was going down on that
yacht. You know, whatever Maya wanted to kill Tony for, whatever that was about,
I'm sure the stakes were pretty high. So if that entity is still out there
somewhere up for grabs, we got to make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong
hands. Of course, the only problem is, we don't where to look, 'cause we don't
know what the hell it is we're looking for.
Maya: So, who's going to
start his day coming to see little old me?
Guard: Oh, you think it's
a gentleman caller?
Maya: Educated guess. I
don't have too many female associates.
Guard: I bet you don't.
Tony: You seem surprised
to see me.
Maya: No. I don't want to.
Tony: You didn't think
you'd seen me for the last time, did you? What, just because you tried to kill
me? We're partners, right? Right. Right to the bitter end.
Like sands through the
hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
Jennifer: Oh... come on
in. Come on in.
Hope: You sure?
Jennifer: Is everything
Hope: Yeah, everything's
fine. We're just on our way to the gym.
Jennifer: We just came
back. We were just running back from the gym.
Jack: As you can tell.
Hope: You know, we should
really work out sometime.
Jennifer: I know. I can't
believe we don't do that. We never work out together.
Shawn-D: Mom, you going to
tell them now, or...
Jennifer: What? Tell us
Hope: We have some news.
Jennifer: Good news?
Hope: Well, I hate to call
it that, but -- you don't know, do you?
Jack: You got a real knack
for relating a story, Hope. Lots of suspense. Just like your cousin.
Hope: Okay, in the middle
of the Bicentennial celebration last night, Larry Welch tried to kill Victor.
Jack: That's dropping a
bombshell. See, you got -- wait a minute. Victor Kiriakis?
Jack: There was nothing in
the "Spectator" --
Jennifer: Larry Welch?
Jack: Larry Welch! Wait a
Jennifer: Larry Welch is
Hope: He is now.
Jack: Wait a minute. So --
so that big explosion during the prison transfer was actually an attempted
escape -- no, it was a real escape.
Hope: That's right.
Jennifer: Are you telling
me Larry Welch has been out there the whole time?
Hope: Yeah. But we're
lucky. Very, very lucky.
Hope: But it's really over
this time, I promise you. I was there when he died last night.
Jennifer: Hope, he didn't
Hope: No, no, no, no, no,
no. I got a call and heard that he was brought into the hospital, and --
Jennifer: No, donít.
It's all right. It's all right. You don't have to. It's okay.
Hope: I'm sorry.
Jennifer: It's okay. Hey,
let's go and sit down.
Hope: Anyway, it happened
very, very late last night, and I thought you two might want to know.
Jack: Well, you know, a
good investigative reporter would have been onto that jailbreak. I mean, or a
good cop. Salem P.D. is just not the same without Bo.
Hope: Jack, Jack, Jack,
even Bo and I were convinced. I guess we all wanted to believe that Larry Welch
was really dead and out of our lives forever.
Jennifer: Well, he is now,
and that's what matters, but what about you being alone at the house without Bo?
Are you okay?
Hope: Yeah, yeah, he said
he'd come back if I wanted him to, but we're fine. Just fine, right?
Shawn-D: Yep. We're good.
But actually, I have to get to the gym, 'cause I have class this morning.
Jennifer: Wait. Class?
Shawn-D: Yeah, summer
school. I'm taking a couple classes to get them out of the way now that I
finally declared my major.
Jennifer: Oh, yeah. What
Jennifer: Oh, that's
great. Jack was pre-law.
Jack: Yes, that's back
when I wanted to be a politician when I grew up.
Jennifer: Ooh, wait a
minute. You know, uncle Mickey is going to be so happy that someone in our
family is interested in his profession, and not just when we need him as a
Jack: Hear, hear.
Shawn-D: Yeah, well, it's
a lot more interesting than I thought it would be, so...
Jennifer: Oh, that's
Shawn-D: Yeah, but I got
[ Telephone rings ]
Jennifer: I have to get
Hope: Would you give me a
ride to the...
Jack: Oh, absolutely. I'll
give you a ride.
Jennifer: Hello? Barry,
Jack: Good workout. Good
Jennifer: I know what
you're going to say. I think that we should do a special show on all of our
guests that cancel on the day of the show they're supposed to be here. No, we
didn't get a call. I just guessed. Well, I'm glad that it's not impacting our
ratings, because it's definitely impacting our sanity. Wait. Yes. Yes, I do have
an idea. I will call you right back.
Jennifer: All right.
Jack's gonna take you to the gym in a little while, right?
Hope: Okay, yeah.
Jennifer: All right, so,
this is just a question. You don't have to say yes, but I really don't want you
to say no. There's something that you can do for us right now.
Lucas: What? Don't even
give me that look. You're the one who let yourself into my apartment and climbed
into bed with me. I thought I was dreaming. I mean, it was a nightmare dream,
because you were there. Can we just go to the hospital, please? Look, don't
worry about it. They're not gonna keep you there that long. Don't you want to
know what's going on? You're not going to go by yourself. How are you going to
explain things to the doctor, huh? How are you going to explain what happened?
Oh, you're gonna write it down? You can't write it down. You don't remember. You
were sleeping the whole time. I'm the only one who heard you. You know, I'd say
I'd drag you kicking and screaming, but it's not fair, because you can't. Great.
We can go. Wonderful.
Tony: Don't look so
frightened, Maya. In fact, this may be the luckiest day of your life.
Maya: Why? Am I going to
Tony: Well, if you have
desires a atone for your past sins. You're out of business, Maya, but I'm not.
Shortfall of funds due to a failed diamond acquisition. Just a temporary
setback, but I will acquire the Promised Land.
Maya: No one promised it
Tony: I promised it to
Maya: You don't know where
Tony: And neither do you.
Maya: I've got the
Tony: And I've got the
longitude. You have an opportunity here. That would be to your advantage to
share, just this once.
Maya: I'm not staying here
Tony: You might prefer
that to the alternative.
Maya: And I'm not telling
Tony: Good. You get one
chance. You don't comply, I go straight to the source.
Maya: You can just go
straight to hell. You wouldn't be here if you thought he'd give you what you
need. He wonít. I wonít. And if you can't have the one thing you want, you
don't have any power at all, count Anthony Dimera.
Lucas: In here.
Woman: Excuse me! You need
to go back to the chairs and see the triage nurse and then wait your turn.
Lucas: We were told that
Dr. Galloway was on duty at the E.R. today, and this is Sami, one of his
patients. We'd like to see him as soon as possible.
Woman: Dr. Galloway's an
E.N.T. I don't see any blood -- ergo, this isn't an emergency. So go up to 4 and
make an appointment with his secretary. I believe he's booked solid for the next
three weeks or so.
Lucas: No, no, no. We're
not waiting three weeks or so. We're not waiting three minutes.
Woman: You're free to
Lucas: And so are you.
Woman: Excuse me?
Lucas: Lucas Roberts, head
of the Horton foundation.
Lucas: I allot funds to
the trauma center, and I don't know whether you know this or not, but Sami here
has been a long-standing employee of this hospital.
Woman: I'm well aware --
the receptionist on 3 who never delivers a message. How do you keep that job,
Lucas: Wait a minute. Just
because Sami is Dr. Evans' daughter does not me she receives preferential
treatment. You got that?
Woman: Dr. Evans'
daughter? The one who had that terrible accident? I am so sorry. That's why you
Lucas: Yes, but she will
be able to if you'd just get Dr. Galloway. Please.
Woman: I will go get him.
Wait right here.
Lucas: Thank you, nurse.
We appreciate it. What? What?
Dr. Galloway: Hello,
folks. What can I do for you?
Lucas: Dr. Galloway, that
was quick. I'm Lucas Roberts. You remember Sami, right?
Dr. Galloway: Of course.
How you doing?
Lucas: Well, she, um, she
was crying in her sleep, and that's the first sound she's made since this
Dr. Galloway: Ahh. Have
you been able to vocalize at all since then?
Lucas: Well, I heard it. I
mean, I know it was her voice. I know that for a fact.
Dr. Galloway: Well, don't
be discouraged, Sami. If it happened once, it wasn't a fluke. It can happen
again. Let's get a look with the laryngoscope, see what's going on, shall we?
Lucas: Wait, what is that?
Dr. Galloway: I'm going to
thread a tube down her throat. We'll visualize her vocal cords and see how she's
Lucas: Isn't that going to
Dr. Galloway: No. It'll be
a little bit uncomfortable, but we can do it right here. I'll have a nurse come
in and get you gowned.
Lucas: Thank you, doctor.
Don't worry about it. Really, everything's going to be fine. The hard part's
over. You're gonna get your voice back. It's gonna be great.
Woman: The opening goes in
Lucas: Oh, right. Yeah,
I'll leave. Um...good luck. Not that you need it or anything. Yeah, right. Uh...
uh, I'm gonna go, and then I'll be back later to pick you up, take you home,
Belle: Wait, wait. You
might not have a job because your case is over, right?
Philip: Uh, no, because
they didn't like the way that I solved it.
Belle: But you did solve
it. Oh, my god, Philip, this is my fault, isn't it?
Philip: No. No, it's not.
Belle: But the only thing
you did wrong was letting me get involved -- only you didn't let me get
involved. Look, I know I was a big pain, but it was just because I was worried
about you, and of course my dad would overreact. But shouldn't he know that no
one could have stopped me?
Philip: But I'm an
operative, Belle. That's my job.
Belle: And you're not
going to lose your job because of me. I'll talk to my dad.
Philip: No, you wonít.
Okay, look, Belle, I appreciate your help and everything, but that's how we got
into trouble last time, remember?
Philip: The only thing you
can do for me here is just please promise me that you're just going to stay out
John: Tony told me his
business dealings were legit.
Tek: Yeah, in the
technical sense, sure.
John: Which means his
promise to keep his nose clean won't alter his day-to-day business at all.
Tek: But he couldn't stay
in business if he didn't punish Maya for her transgression.
Tek: Mr. Big can't let a
death threat go unanswered.
John: Maya's in jail. That
should be punishment enough, and if it isn't, well, then my brother and I are
going to have a problem after all.
Maya: This meeting is
Tony: Like hell.
Maya: Did you just say
Maya: You're the one
making threats you can't carry out. Salem P.D. wants you so bad, but you want
something even more, and I'm the only one who can help you, and I wonít. I'll
never roll over for you, Tony.
Tony: Oh, please, donít.
No. I wouldn't expect you to play... dead. Good day, Maya.
Maya: Hey. Get me out of
here. I want to go back to my cell.
Jack: So, let me guess.
Jennifer: Well, I know,
but at least Mrs. Kittridge gave us more than five minutes before canceling
being on the show.
Hope: That wouldn't be the
Miss Kittridge from the kids' room at the library, would it?
Jennifer: Yeah, she was
going to come on the show and go over a whole summer reading list for the kids,
but I guess she had a panic attack last night. Apparently, she's very camera
Jack: You know, literacy
is something we can promote almost any day of the year.
Jennifer: Yes, well,
preferably more than one day out of the year.
Jack: And the Larry Welch
story is going to be old news very fast.
Hope: Whoa, whoa, whoa,
whoa. Wait a minute. I didn't capture him or anything. I was just a bystander.
Jennifer: Hope, you were
Hope: But I didn't even
know that he was alive. I had no idea.
Jennifer: I know, but
that's the reason you and Bo opened this whole business together -- because of
people like Larry. Really, everything you went through last fall -- it was
horrible, and that's when you decided you wanted to do something to make a
difference, right? Well, there are a lot of people out there living in fear, and
you are an incredible example of how to overcome, to turn something potentially
tragic into something truly positive.
Jack: And couldn't your
new business use a little free publicity? I'm speaking for all of us here. We'd
like to get the criminals off the street, madam bounty hunter.
Jennifer: That's right.
You don't have to talk about anything personal. Just be comfortable. Talk about
whatever you want to talk about, okay? And if you don't come on the show and
talk about it, we're going to have to talk about the reading list...
Hope: All right, all
right, all right, my god, the guilt on my shoulders. You guys drive a hard
Jennifer: No, we donít.
Hope: Yes, you do.
Jack: You know, actually,
we cut a really good deal with Mr. Nobu for his appearance, but we could double
that if you stay for the whole show.
Hope: Oh, no, absolutely
not. This is for free. I will not accept it otherwise. It's for the greater
Jennifer: So you'll do it.
Hope: I'll do it.
Jennifer: Yes! You'll do
Jack: Yes! Good, good.
Jennifer: Thank you, Hope.
Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Hope.
Jack: You're going to love
Hope: We'll see.
Jennifer: Ha ha ha ha.
Belle: Look, Philip, I
don't want you to get in any more trouble at work, but I really think if you
just let me --
Philip: Belle, it's not
Belle: But I think that --
Philip: Okay, we made a
mistake before, and we cannot go there again.
Shawn-D: Can't go where?
Tek: At least Maya's safe
John: In theory. Just keep
in mind Dimera's got people everywhere. You know, Tek, Tony might just need Maya
Tek: What if Maya still
needs Tony dead? Ready to run to your brother's rescue again?
John: Just when you think
it's over... it never ends, does it?
Woman: My, aren't we the
popular one today?
Maya: What took you so
Sal: Traffic. Look, I got
here in 10 minutes. What's the matter with you?
Maya: Tony Dimeraís the
matter with me. He's going to kill me.
Tony: Hmm. Now you have my
undivided attention. Are you happy?
Sami: Front and center --
that's where I like to be.
Tony: Ha ha ha. Sami
Bradyís all grown up.
Sami: Well, a lot has
changed since you left Salem.
Tony: Swimming with the
Sami: If I have to, to get
what I want.
Tony: And what is that, to
destroy my family?
Sami: I want to be your
Tony: [ Chuckles ]
Sami: I'm serious, Tony.
Tony: John thinks I tried
to kill him. Bo blames me for every tragedy that has befallen him and his
family. And your mother -- well, we won't even go there.
Sami: Well, let's let
bygones be bygones, shall we, and move on with our lives. You need a friend in
this town, and I'm volunteering.
Tony: And if you're here
as a spy for your family, your tactics are far from subtle.
Sami: My family would have
me committed if they even suspected I was anywhere near you.
Lucas: Hi. Sorry I'm late.
[ Telephone rings ]
Tony: Yes, Erin, I'd like
to arrange an additional flower delivery for Sami. Yes, this morning. Well,
let's see. Um, "My apologies for the untimely end to our lovely, lovely
Lucas: Ahem. Ahem.
Tony: One second.
Lucas: You might want to
know that Sami's in the hospital right now.
Tony: I'll call you back.
What's the problem?
Lucas: No problem. She
could be getting her voice back, we hope. I left her with a specialist. He's
running some tests right now.
Tony: Well, she shouldn't
be left alone. I'll go to the hospital.
Lucas: She said she wanted
to be by herself.
Tony: Well, maybe that's
what she indicated to you.
Lucas: You know, I know
you feel partly responsible for Sami's accident, but you've never liked her. So
what's with all the handholding, and the flowers, and the dinner dates? Why are
you so interested in Sami all of a sudden?
Tony: [ Chuckles ]
Dr. Galloway: All right,
Sami. Your vocal cords have healed to the extent that we finally have an
accurate assessment of what your long-term prognosis will be.
Belle: Philip is in
trouble with his superiors because of me, and I just wanted to explain to them
that it's not his fault that I was following him around when he was tailing
Philip: And I asked Belle
to stay out of it like she should have done in the first place.
Shawn-D: You don't want to
mess with the Marine Corps or Miss Belle Black.
Philip: Belle, just trust
me that I can take care of myself, okay?
Belle: I do.
Shawn-D: See, he wants you
to take care of you. He's a good friend.
Philip: Yeah. Um, I don't
have much time, you guys, so I'll catch you later.
Philip: See ya.
John: Hey, Shawn. How's
your family holding up this morning?
Shawn-D: Did -- did you
Belle: Yeah. I hope you
Shawn-D: No, of course
not. We were kind of freaked out knowing that Larry was out there, but whatever
he was planning, he's not going to get a chance to do that now... ever.
John: That's a fact.
Listen, I know your dad's out of town, so if you need anything...
Shawn-D: Yeah, thanks.
John: You or your mother,
John: Yeah, sweetheart,
Philip: So am I fired?
Tek: The jury's still out.
Philip: What am I supposed
to do in the meantime?
Tek: You wait, take
orders, all right? You prove you're not going to be a cowboy out there.
Philip: That's what they
want us to be.
Tek: Not when you're the
Philip: Look, I know this
job demands that we take chances except when it involves someone else's life,
but I would never do that, especially not with Belle. Why don't they understand
that? Damn it.
Dr. Galloway: Hey, you can
release that breath you've been holding. Things are looking good. There's still
some swelling, but the scarring is minimal, and as you continue to heal, your
vocal control will be improving by leaps and bounds. With a little retraining,
you should be able to achieve full volume and normal range, which means you'll
be able to speak clearly with no pain and with hardly any residual effects from
your accident. Good as new.
Lucas: I'm sorry. I-I know
your personal life is none of my business.
Tony: Ha. How quite right
you are. Although I would not have hired you if I didn't think you had a certain
natural curiosity. As I recall, I expressed concern about Sami when she was in
the hospital, about your involvement in her personal life.
Lucas: Yeah, you said she
didn't need mixed signals, and I agree with that.
Tony: Right. And you need
to be decisive, Lucas. I mean, Sami's background is certainly different than
mine, and yet I identify with her survivor instinct. I admire her spirit.
Lucas: So what are you
saying? What are you saying? Are you in love with her or what?
Jack: No. No, no, no, no,
Barry: Do you know how
many people in their homes feel victimized the way Hope Brady did? She could
give them hope. This is a feel-good story, Jack.
Jack: But -- yeah, but --
Barry: No, no, no, no, no.
On the other hand, this could be a cautionary tale. You never know what dangers
Jack: TV is not about
Barry: TV is about
Jack: Have you ever taken
a journalism class, ever?
Barry: This isn't
journalism, Jack. Now, just get out there and have some fun.
Jack: This is not fun,
Barry. Let me -- listen, journalism is an important...
Hope: Okay, remind me why
I said I was going to do this.
Jennifer: Hope, look, if
there's just one woman out there who -- who feels like she's lost control, you
can convince her to take her life back.
Hope: How am I going to be
convincing if I look completely terrified? Where do I look? There's so many
Jennifer: You just look
over here in this direction, kind of like you're modeling. You remember. Just
look -- you're okay. You're going to be fine. And it doesn't matter, because
you're here with me and Jack, and we're talking, we're -- just conversation,
it's very comfortable, in the living room, and you have something very important
you want to say.
Man: Places, everybody.
Mrs. Brady, you're going to sit right here...
Jack: Okay, look, it's
going to be over before you know it, and before you know it, it'll be over, and
you won't remember what you said.
Man: All right, we're
ready, people, and we are live in... 5, 4, 3, 2...
qWho's in the house now? q
Barry: And we're "In
the house" with Jack and Jennifer.
qWho's in the house now? q
Dr. Galloway: Why -- why
can't you speak now? Because it hurts, for one thing. What you could do in your
sleep when you weren't thinking about it, you were just following instinct, not
forcing it. Your voice needs to rest, Sami. You don't need to keep testing it.
It'll come back when it's ready to -- in the heat of the moment, when you least
expect it to, when you have something important to say.
Tony: Am I in love with
Sami? I never asked myself that question. I'm not quite sure I have the answer.
Ahem. With Sami, there's a certain fascination about, uh... we have a certain
understanding with each other, much more than we're willing to admit. But it's
important, isn't it? To have someone in your life who can see through you and
not turn away.
Lucas: Yeah, it is. I know
what you mean. So you think that's Sami, you think she's the one? Is that it?
Tony: Hmm. Time will tell.
Lucas: You're just going
to keep dating her? Is that what you're saying?
Tony: Ha ha. I don't know.
I'd like to pursue a serious relationship with Sami. Yes, I would.
Maya: He just came to see
me. He sat right there, and -- and he basically said he was going to kill me,
and he's got people in here, Sal. I'm a target 24/7. Where am I going to go?
Sal: What do you want me
to do? I can't break you out of here.
Maya: I want you to kill
Tony before he kills me.
Belle: I just wanted to
say thank you for trying to help not just Shawn's family but... you've always
been great to all of my friends. And I love you.
John: I love you, too.
I'll see you tonight, okay?
Shawn-D: What was that all
Belle: Nothing. I just --
I almost lost my dad, and I don't think I get to say those things often enough.
Shawn-D: I know what you
mean. So, how are you doing?
Belle: All right. A little
Shawn-D: Oh, like I care.
How long have you been here?
Belle: A while. But mostly
I've just been standing around.
Shawn-D: You know what?
I'm not even going to have time for a workout, 'cause I have to get to class.
John: Listen, kid, I know
I came down on you pretty hard for something that was partially my daughter's
John: If -- if you give me
your word that we won't revisit this issue again, I'd like to see you get a
Philip: Thanks. Now, wait
a second, did Belle...
John: Talk to me about
this? Not exactly.
Philip: Well, good. 'Cause
I made her promise me that we would never talk about any of this again.
John: Thank you for that.
Now, you know the mission that you were brought on for is over.
Philip: It's not over.
John, we don't even have any answers yet.
John: Maya's in jail,
Tony's neutralized, and we will get the answers we're looking for, whether
you're a part of the agency or not. It's a hard fact to accept, isn't it? That's
something you need to learn going in. Every agent is expendable.
Philip: Are you saying I'm
John: I'm saying it's not
my call, but I will help you every way I can.
Philip: Thanks. I
Dr. Galloway: All right.
You can go ahead and get dressed, and I will tell your husband to come in. Oh,
you don't want him to come in? Oh... he's -- he's not your husband. I-I'm sorry.
Well, do you want me to go and give him the good news, or do you want to tell
your boyfriend yourself? Oh. All right. And keep faith, Samantha. Someday soon,
you'll be able to say the three most important words there are.
Tony: So, let's reschedule
our meeting later today, assuming Sami is able to be left alone.
Lucas: Well, I'm sure she
will be. I told her I'd pick her up, so if you're going to the hospital, I'll go
Jennifer: And, Hope, thank
you so much.
Hope: It was my pleasure.
qWho's in the house now?q
qWho is it? q
Jack: Tomorrow, tune in
for a -- tune in for a surprise.
qWho's in the house now?q
Man: And we're clear.
Who is it?
Jennifer: That's it.
Jennifer: That's it. We're
done. You did it! See? You did great. You sounded -- didn't she sound warm? And
caring and so smart.
Hope: Thank you so much.
I'm glad that I did it. I really am, and it really helped to talk about it. I
hope it helped a few other people, too.
Jennifer: I know it did.
[ Cellular phone rings ]
Hope: Oh, my gosh. I forgo
t to shut the phone off. I can't believe I did that.
Jennifer: It's all right.
Hope: It's Bo. Hey, Brady.
Jennifer: That was great.
That was great. It really went well, didn't it?
Jack: What would we do
without your family?
Jennifer: Well, something
tells me that you'd manage. Now, what were you talking about a surprise for
Jack: I would do anything
to convince Barry over there that we are journalists. We've got to be more than
just a daily dose of fluff.
Jennifer: Well, I hope
that we are. I mean... yeah, you know what, Jack? You're right. Our name is on
this show. What should we do about it? I want it to be good.
Jack: I've been thinking
about it, and we'll come up with something.
Hope: I'm so sorry about
Jennifer: How's Bo?
Hope: He thinks he has a
Jack: A lead. Lead -- pray
tell, on what?
Hope: Not for journalists'
ears yet. Sorry.
Jack: Right. But when you
two crack the case...
Hope: Then you'll want us
both on the show, I hope.
Jack: Exactly, exactly.
I'm going to talk to Barry about that right now. Excuse me.
Hope: Oh, wait, Jack --
Jack: Barry, I want to
talk to you about bringing Hope...
Jennifer: All right, so
you're going to go see Bo. Why don't you let us take care of Zack?
Hope: I have it covered.
Shawn and Caroline are going to watch him for a little while. Hopefully, the
case won't take too long.
Jennifer: Yeah, I hope
not. So you're going to leave today?
Hope: I'm leaving right
now. I'm going home to pack.
Jennifer: Well, be
Hope: I'll see you later.
Jennifer: Give Bo our
love, and be very careful.
Hope: I'm always careful.
See you later.
Jack: Yes, and bring us a
Hope: Oh, Jack.
Shawn-D: I better get
Belle: Right. You have
Shawn-D: Yeah. Did you
finish your sketches?
Belle: I think the
question is, did I start the sketches? I wish summer could be work-free.
Shawn-D: But you like your
Belle: I do. And I have
all these ideas. It's just when I go home... I just want to be with you.
Shawn-D: I think I know
what you mean.
Philip: So, can you tell
me anything about Maya's case?
John: Nothing to tell,
really. The charges might not even stick. All the forensics that could tie her
to the bombing are on the bottom of the ocean, along with the yacht and the
Philip: Well, Maya's no
scientist, and neither is Tony, for that matter. Somebody had to supply them
with that ultra-sensitive piece of equipment, right?
John: That's a fact.
Philip: I mean, how hard
would that be to trace? I mean, once we do that, we can figure out what they're
supposed to be using it for. What did Tony Dimera know... um... you know what,
john? I'm all set here. I'm going to take off, all right? Thanks again.
Tony: I have to find
Sami's doctor. What's his name?
Tony: Yes, yes. I need to
understand what is going on so I'll be able to support her in any way I can.
Lucas: Well, I don't know
how much they'll tell you. You're not family.
Tony: I'm Tony Dimera.
Lucas: Right. I'll ask a
nurse if she's seen Dr. Galloway.
Sami: [ Weakly ] Luca--
Lucas: Excuse me. I'm
Woman: Carol, is next
week's schedule posted yet?
Carol: Mm-hmm, here. Let
me pull it up.
Maya: I want you to kill
Tony before he kills me.
Cassie: Is there anything
I can do to help you?
Rex: I need you to get
close to Philip.
Brady: Nicole was telling
me a little bit about her father. She said that he forced her to do something.
Nicole: How could you?!
How could you do this to me?
