Brady: Hey, Chloe. Chloe, wake up. Chloe! Chloe, hey!
Philip: Damn you, Brady. No way are you stealing Chloe from me.
Sami: Well, what does the schedule say, Larry? Is Brandon coming in today? What do you mean, he took the day off? No, no, I tried his house and his cell phone. No, thanks anyway, Larry. I'll talk to you later. Bye.
Sami: Oh. Ahem. One hell of a light show. Damn it. Lexie Carver. That's who you're with today, isn't it, Brandon? [Scoffs] Well, you won't be with her for long -- not if I can help it.
[Knock on door]
Lexie: Oh, um, I'm sorry. There must be some mistake.
Man: No, this is Room 656. Are you Lexie Carver?
Lexie: Yes, but I didn't order breakfast.
Brandon: No... But I did.
Abe: Oh, man. [Sighs]
Abe: Yeah. Thank you, man.
Roman: Here you go, buddy.
Abe: Ahh... well... "Meteor shower provides spectacular light show."
Roman: Some night, huh?
Abe: Yeah. You know, we're just lucky that no one was hurt or worse. And if the truth be known, it's something of a relief to have some other news to focus on.
Roman: Today is Lexie's sentencing.
Abe: Yeah. And if she's forced to go to jail, it could push her over the edge.
[Knock on door]
[Knock on door]
[Doorbell rings, knocking]
Bo: I'm coming! What the hell --
John: We're looking for our daughter. Where's Belle?
Bo: How should I know?
John: Well, where's Shawn? She's with him. Did they go out last -- where are they?
Bo: What is with the third degree? I told you I don't know where they are.
Marlena: Bo, we're worried. Belle did not come home last night.
Hope: Neither did Shawn. I just checked his room. His bed hasn't been slept in.
Shawn-D: Sorry. Sorry. Any sign of them?
Belle: No, Shawn, and I have looked everywhere. It's like they just vanished.
Shawn-D: This is too weird. I just can't figure it out.
Belle: Shawn! Shawn, look out! No! Shawn, are you okay? It all happened so fast. The last thing I remember, I was being knocked to the ground.
Shawn-D: Yeah, and we must have really been out of it, because by the time we came to... They were gone -- whoever they were.
Belle: Shawn, you don't suppose that -- no. No, this can't be true.
Belle: You are thinking what I'm thinking. Maybe it is true. Shawn, maybe they really are...
Brady: Chloe. Chloe, come on, wake up. Let's go. Hello. Hey. Good morning, sleepy head.
Chloe: What time is it?
Brady: It's early in the morning. I was just waiting for you to wake up.
Chloe: You didn't -- you did. You stayed all night with me.
Brady: Here, you want to sit up?
Brady: Here, I'll help you. Ready?
Chloe: Maybe later. I have, like, zero strength right now.
Brady: It'll come back.
Chloe: Yeah, Craig said that after the first couple of days of chemo that I'd probably feel worse, that I'd --
Brady: All right, shh. Don't talk anymore, okay?
Brady: Hi... Mrs. Wesley. Um, I was actually on my way to work, and I thought I'd stop by and check up on Chloe. Her first visitor of the day. Yeah, okay, I see that you two need a good, solid mother-daughter moment, so, uh, I'm going to go to work. I'll catch up with you later.
Chloe: Thanks for everything.
Brady: No sweat.
Philip: Hey! You and I need to have a talk.
John: [Snaps fingers]
Hope: You want anything -- coffee, tea?
John: How about my daughter?
Marlena: Maybe we should call Roman.
Bo: Why won't we all calm down? I'm sure there's a logical explanation to all this.
Hope: You know, actually, Shawn did try to call us last night, but the connection was so bad we got disconnected before he could say anything.
John: That's a big help, isn't it?
Bo: Don't worry. They're very responsible kids.
John: At least one of them is.
Bo: Before we start placing blame, why don't we find out what's going on?
Hope: Which may be -- probably is -- all very innocent. Look, the kids were very excited about the meteor shower last night, so probably they just didn't --
John: What, forgot to call? Just maybe they forgot that there are people here who are worried about them! Well, I'm not going to and around talking about it. I'm going to go out and see if I can find them, damn it.
Belle: It isn't really possible, right, Shawn? I mean, there is no such thing as extraterrestrials, except in movies.
Shawn-D: I don't know what to think, except for that they were... Almost naked... And strong.
Belle: Did you see those strange lights on their wrists? Shawn, maybe we were just dreaming.
Shawn-D: Come on, Belle, how could we have had the same dream? It was real. You know it was.
Shawn-D: And it happened right about here.
Belle: There was all that smoke.
Shawn-D: And that green light coming from the -- oh, I don't know what to call it. Spaceship?
Belle: And then... Shawn! Shawn, look! [Screaming]
Shawn-D: The only -- only logical explanation, if there is one, is that these... Kids, or people, were from outer space.
Belle: But what do they want, Shawn? Why did they come here to Salem?
Abe: Damn it, Lexie, can't you see anybody's pain but your own? Anyone's truth but your own?
Lexie: I hardly know what is true anymore, Abe, about you. What was true about us, what wasn't true...
Abe: Well, the truth is I love you, and I always will.
Lexie: Then prove it. And I thought we had a chance. I thought that once you knew my father was dead, that you would open your heart to me, Abe, that you'd be there to help me through yet another terrible loss. What a fool I was to expect that.
Abe: Lexie --
Lexie: All you give a damn about is impressing your friends, being tough, ruthless, treating your wife like an afterthought, a burden, an embarrassment. Well, I've had it, Abe. I have had it with your cruelty and your disrespect. I've had it.
Roman: Partner, listen to me. You are obviously worried about this, so why don't you call Lexie? Better yet, why don't you go to her?
Abe: No, Roman, she doesn't want to see me. She's got her brother to keep her company, to console her.
Roman: Well, that's all she needs -- Tony DiMera in her life. Wow. What a wonderful influence.
Abe: Yeah, well, there's not a whole lot I can do to keep them apart. He's family. Walker, on the other hand -- I wish to hell there was something I could do about that.
Roman: Abe, let me ask you a question here. What -- what scares you about that? I mean, Lexie being friends with Brandon? Do you think that, uh, that he's going to hurt her somehow?
Abe: He's got a personal vendetta against me, Roman. You know that. I mean, all he's ever wanted to do was turn Lexie against me. And he'd sure as hell have an easy time of that right now.
Lexie: Mm. Nice.
Brandon: I thought your mom would be joining us this morning. Where is she?
Lexie: She's downstairs at the gym. Brandon, she was up at 5:00 this morning, pacing, worrying, driving me crazy. I told her to go and work off some of that steam before we meet at the courthouse.
Lexie: How did my life get so messed up? Today I'm sitting in this 5-star hotel with a gourmet breakfast in front of me, and tomorrow I could be behind bars, staring at a bowl of cold oatmeal. And why? My only crime was loving my little boy and wanting him with me.
Brandon: Don't think about that right now. Here. It would be a sin to let these go to waste.
Lexie: Mmm. Mmm. That's good.
Brandon: Here you go.
Brandon: Okay. Just kidding. For sure this time.
[Knock on door]
Man: Police. Open up.
Belle: I don't believe this, Shawn. We're standing here having a conversation about UFO’d and ET’s. We must be going out of our minds.
Shawn-D: Yeah, isn't this the sort of thing that happens in New Mexico or, like, somewhere out in the desert?
Belle: You know, I always thought aliens had huge heads and little bodies.
Shawn-D: Yeah, well, they definitely had human features.
Belle: Did you notice that weird glow?
Shawn-D: Aside from that, they still looked like us.
Belle: But when we brought them back to life, did you see their faces? They had genuine emotions, Shawn. They were seriously scared.
Shawn-D: Not half as scared as we were.
Shawn-D: Hey, hey, hey! Easy! Easy! Hey, hey, hey. Hey, easy, easy. What happened? What did he do? What happened? What happened?
Belle: He -- he touched my neck.
Shawn-D: Okay, all right.
Belle: I thought he was going to try and strangle me.
Shawn-D: Easy, easy, okay. Look at me. Okay. I'm going to call my dad, okay?
Boy and Girl: Aah!
Belle: Shawn, we can't let them get away!
Shawn-D: All right, all right, all right, come on! Come on! Come on!
Belle: It's an amazing story. But who's going to believe us? We don't have any evidence. No footprints, no scorched earth, not even the littlest piece of a spaceship.
Shawn-D: And without any evidence... How are we going to explain this to our parents?
Chloe: Sorry. I guess I'm not very good company right now.
Nancy: No, sweetheart, you're delightful company. I love being here with you. You know that.
Chloe: You've been really great through all of this -- strong.
Nancy: Well, you give me strength.
Chloe: Yeah, but I know what you're really feeling. This must be making you sad, my being sick.
Nancy: Sweetheart, yes, of course, but also very proud, impressed with the way you're handling it all. You're pretty tough, you know that?
Chloe: Must take after you, right?
Nancy: Well, I like to think so. I'd change places with you if I could, Chloe.
Chloe: I know you would.
Nancy: You know, I don't want you to ever think that you're facing any of this alone.
Chloe: I don't feel that. What bothers me is that I know I'm supposed to be all hopeful and positive, and that that will help my immune system, but... It's just that I've heard of so many people that have felt the right things and done the right things, and they're good people -- honest, kind, and they have everything to live for. And still they don't.
Chloe: Nancy, if they don't find a bone marrow match for me, then my doing all this chemo and getting sick, it'll all be for nothing.
Nancy: Honey, don't you say that. Don't you ever, ever say that.
Philip: Come on.
Brady: All right, you know what? Hey, we said we would not do this, that we would focus on Chloe and what's best for her.
Philip: Yeah? Well, I don't happen to think that you are what's best for her, okay?
Brady: Oh, shut -- you know, you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Philip: Chloe's sick, and you're using that to your advantage. Admit it, Brady -- you'd do anything, no matter how low, to get close to her.
Brady: All right, stop it! You can't be serious, Philip. Chloe is so weak right now, she can hardly sit up in bed, and you're jealous because you think she and I are -- well, what? What do you think we are? Go ahead, tell me.
Philip: Well, I'm not sure.
Brady: Exactly. So calm the hell down. Stop being jealous for one second, and I will explain it to you.
John: Tried all the usual places -- no luck.
Bo: Can we be a little patient here? There's been no reports of any accidents, no sightings of kids wandering --
Hope: Bo, please, just try Shawn's cell phone again, okay? Just call, please.
Marlena: Oh, my God!
Marlena: Oh, my gosh, Belle!
Hope: Shawn, I have been so worried about where you've been.
Shawn-D: I'm really sorry, Mom. I tried to call --
John: All right, out with it. Just where in the hell have the two of you been all night?
Brandon: Can I help you, Officer?
Man: Yes, I'm here to escort Mrs. Carver down to the courthouse.
Lexie: Are you serious? I am not a criminal! What does Abe think, I'm going to skip town? Besides, it's not even time to leave yet.
Man: I know it's early, Mrs. Carver. It's just it's better if we get there right away. In an hour, there'll be reporters all over the place.
Lexie: You tell my husband that I am capable of finding the courthouse on my own. Better yet, I'll tell him myself.
Man: No, wait. Look, I'm just trying to do my job here, okay? Serve and protect.
Lexie: Well, you are not serving me, and I don't need protection, so take a hike.
Man: Mrs. Carver, I'm sorry if I --
Brandon: You heard the lady. Get lost. There was something about that guy.
Lexie: It's my husband. How dare he upset me like that? I can't trust him anymore, Brandon. You're the only person I can trust.
Man: Sorry. I did my best. She wouldn't bite.
John: You know, I think you kids have some explaining to do.
Belle: I know, Dad, and we're really sorry.
Bo: You have a curfew, Shawn.
Shawn-D: Right, and like I said, I tried to call, I swear, but I dropped my phone, and it broke.
John: Well, that's convenient.
Shawn-D: It's true.
Marlena: No public phones?
Belle: Mom, we said we were sorry.
Hope: Why don't you both just start from the beginning, okay?
Shawn-D: Okay. Well, I don't know how to say this, and you're probably not going to believe it --
Belle: Do you promise to keep an open mind?
Marlena: Honey, of course we do.
Belle: Looks like Caprice was right. She said what happened last night could change our lives forever, and I seriously don't think Shawn and I are ever going to be the same.
John: Get to the point.
Shawn-D: Okay. Um, after the barbecue, we went out to lookout point.
Belle: To get a better view of the meteor shower.
Shawn-D: Yeah, and -- and the sky was so clear.
Belle: And the stars were amazing.
Shawn-D: Yeah, and that's when it happened.
John: What happened?
Shawn-D: Um, well... We were standing there and then, all of a sudden, bang.
Belle: It was, like, a close encounter. There was this green glow, and then these two bodies appeared, frozen and naked.
Hope: Frozen and naked.
Belle: But they weren't breathing.
Shawn-D: Yeah, so we had to give them CPR -- mouth-to-mouth.
John: You gave two total strangers mouth-to-mouth. My God, kids, you don't know where these people's mouths --
Belle: Dad, they weren't people.
Shawn-D: They were aliens.
Nancy: Sweetheart, you have every reason to be positive. You're young and you're strong.
Chloe: I'm not strong anymore, and if they don't find a donor...
Nancy: Sweetheart, it's only been a couple days, and what with all your friends being tested... Chloe, I want you to know that it's okay for you to be scared sometimes, and I want you to talk to me about it so that I can help you through it... Like you did just now. But I may be a little tough on you whenever I feel that you're being anything but positive and hopeful. But that doesn't mean, sweetheart, that I don't understand. But I want you to talk to me about it. I want to hear everything, okay? So I can help you through it and make it easier for you.
Chloe: One good thing about me being sick -- I really learned to appreciate my life. I mean, my life before the hospital. Always having you and Craig around, taking care of me, the dogs jumping on my bed, my fluffy down comforter, you coming in to wake me up in the morning for school or church or whatever.
Nancy: Soon, Chloe. You'll be home soon.
Brady: She was afraid, Philip. Chloe was afraid that if she went to sleep, she wouldn't wake up again, and she didn't want to be alone.
Philip: She said that?
Brady: Yes. Chloe asked me to stay with her. She wanted to feel safe. And if you think for one second that I would take advantage of that --
Philip: No, I don't, I don't, okay? Look, I'm sorry, Brady. It's just that seeing you and Chloe together like that -- well, I just figured that --
Brady: All right, look, never mind. It's all right. So let's get a grip, okay?
Philip: Right. From now on, no more paranoia, no more jealousy. I'm going to stay focused on Chloe like I said I would. Her getting better, staying positive -- that's all that matters.
Man: Look, I did what I could, okay?
Sami: Well, obviously, it wasn't enough. All I asked for was a few minutes alone with Brandon.
Man: Hey, I stuck my neck out for you, Sami, because you're Roman Brady's kid, and I didn't want to say no, but I took a big risk here. What if Mrs. Carver calls the Commander and complains? I could lose my badge here.
Sami: Oh, it's not that big a deal.
Man: Well, maybe not for you.
Sami: Well, I have learned my lesson. Never trust a man to do a woman's job.
Man: Yeah, I learned my lesson, too -- never try to do Sami Brady a favor, 'cause she's an ungrateful little brat!
Sami: Shh! Shh! Keep it down. There are people here. They might overhear --
Brandon: I had a feeling you were behind this.
Brandon: I've had it up to here with your games, Samantha. Today's going to be rough enough on Lexie without you adding to her problems. And just so you know, I'm going to be there for her whenever she needs me, whether you like it or not.
Sami: She is using you, Brandon. How can you not see that?
Brandon: I will be the judge of that.
Sami: And Abe -- he's not going to like it that you're hanging out in his wife's hotel room.
Brandon: I don't give a damn about Abe. And right now, you're not very high on my list either. Get real, Samantha. Grow up and move on.
Sami: I'm just trying to warn you, Brandon.
Brandon: I am warning you -- you keep this up and our friendship is history.
Lexie: What do you mean, my husband's not there? I need to speak with him. Well, where is he?
Woman: If I could just have a few minutes to examine her.
Nancy: Of course. Sweetie, I'll be right outside, okay? Oh, you're still here. Hello, Philip.
Philip: Hi, Mrs. Wesley.
Nancy: So, uh, Brady, I thought you were on your way to work.
Brady: I was, but, uh, Philip and I met up and started talking about Chloe.
Philip: Yeah, we were talking about how we need to stick together, do everything we can to get her through this.
Nancy: Thank you. You know, I'll admit I've had issues with both of you in the past, but now I can see that you both care for Chloe, and that means so much to me. You know, boys, I just wish there was a way we could lift her spirits. She wants to be home. She misses her room and her things.
Brady: You know what, Mrs. Wesley? I think I have an idea. Yeah. I might have a way to make Chloe feel better.
Shawn-D: I know it sounds insane -- aliens in a spaceship -- but it's true.
Hope: So what happened to these aliens? Where are they now?
Shawn-D: That's the thing. We don't know.
Belle: Somehow they got away. They just disappeared into the night.
Shawn-D: [Whispers] I think there might have been an easier way to tell them.
Belle: [Whispers] yeah.
Bo: Have there been any reports of unusual activity in the local foothills? You know, like UFO sightings, things like that?
Roman: What, are you kidding me? I mean, the switchboard's been lighting up all night. Every crackpot in Salem thinks they stepped into a scene of "Star Wars."
Bo: But has there been anything credible?
Roman: Well, just that one Jane Doe whose car hit the crater.
Bo: Yeah, I was hoping to get a statement from her, but by the time I got to the hospital, she was gone. It was strange. Nobody knows who she is or where she is.
Roman: Yeah, that, uh, that is still a mystery, but I think we can dump the theory that she was abducted by aliens.
Bo: Funny you should bring that up, Roman. Shawn and Belle are convinced they saw a spaceship last night.
Roman: What? A spaceship? Uh, Bo, hang on one second, all right? I'll be right back to you.
John: Were you two drinking last night?
Shawn-D: No, of course not.
Bo: Hey, hey, Roman, you can fill me in when I get there. I'm on my way. John, you better come with me. It won't be long.
Hope: What -- Bo --
Marlena: What is it?
Bo: Nothing to worry about. I'll fill you in when I get back.
Belle: I wonder what's going on.
Marlena: Don't know. Let's go, uh, back to the beginning. What were you doing? What was going on when you s-- when you saw this spaceship?
Belle: We were just standing there, totally relaxed, looking at the stars, and then all of a sudden, this flash of light streaked across the sky.
Shawn-D: Yeah, it got brighter and brighter, and then we realized it was headed straight for us.
Belle: We were afraid it was going to hit us.
Shawn-D: Yeah, so I grabbed Belle to protect her, and --
Belle: Just in time.
Shawn-D: Yeah, and that is when we heard the bang. After that, the spaceship opened, and these two bodies came out.
Belle: Look, we have wasted enough time talking about this. Shouldn't we be doing something?
Shawn-D: You're right, because they're probably -- the people -- or whatever they are -- they're loose. They're helpless and scared, I know. They obviously want to get back to where they're from, so we have to help them do it.
Belle: But how, Shawn? How are we going to find them again?
Man: Have you inspected the area for traces of radiation and other foreign substances?
Man #2: All's clear.
Man: Hold it right there.
Bo: What's going on here?
Abe: These men are clear. Agent Russell Spector, Detective Bo Brady. This is John Black.
Bo: How you doing?
Roman: Agent Spector is supervising the NASA investigation for the Federal Government.
Bo: So now the government's spending tax dollars to investigate meteor showers?
Russell: The U.S. government thinks we may have had a landing last night right here.
Philip: All right.
Brady: Here's the plan. You know what? I don't need to tell you now. It's just that I -- we can't do it alone.
Philip: We? We can't?
Brady: No. And we're going to need help from someone who has a lot of pull at this hospital.
Nancy: Really? Well, you're in luck, because I happen to know the chief of staff intimately.
Brady: Good, 'cause we're going to have to bend a lot of rules.
Nancy: Brady, if it's going to help Chloe, we can break every rule in the book.
Brady: Ha ha. All right. So... Here's what we're going to do.
Lexie: I was trying to get hold of Abe, but you hang up --
Brandon: Talking to Abe right now will only upset you. You need to be calm and cool for this.
Lexie: But Abe's sending that cop over to escort --
Brandon: I'm sure it was just some kind of a mix-up, so why even hassle with Abe over it? You know, the cop was right about one thing -- we should get down to the courthouse early. So come on. Let's go.
Brandon: There you go. Uh...
Lexie: Okay, look --
Brandon: How is that?
Lexie: Thank you for all your support. I can't imagine how I'd get through this day without you.
Sami: Well, I hope that they lock her up and throw away the key.
Bo: What are you talking about? What kind of landing?
Russell: Well, I've just been debriefed by the top NASA scientist. They found meteor fragments all over this hillside. In fact, we've had similar reports from throughout the area. More fragments found in the Salem river, and not to mention the meteor that hit on airport road.
Bo: You sure it was just meteors that hit?
Roman: Well, I guess all those, uh, reports about spaceships didn't pan out.
Roman: Wow, um, the guy's a laugh a minute, huh?
John: I'm just glad the kids didn't get hurt last night.
Bo: They sure were shaken up, though.
Abe: Look, you don't think that... Just what kind of credence do you give their story?
John: Abraham, I'm sure Bo feels the same way I do. I mean, they're teenagers -- they're prone to exaggerate, but... Make up something like this?
Bo: I don't think they'd do that. Spaceships? Aliens? The only thing I could think is... Somebody was playing some elaborate trick on them, some kind of hoax.
Hope: Shawn, honey, please wait until your dad gets back, at least, okay?
Shawn-D: We have to start looking, Mom. We have to start looking now.
Belle: I'm going with you.
Marlena: Uh, Belle -- Shawn, listen, please. You haven't slept. You're tired, you're hungry. Just rest a while and then -- and then go out again.
Shawn-D: Okay, we realize you don't believe us, and we don't blame you, okay? But we know what we saw. So we have to find the aliens and prove it.
Belle: Bye. [Knuckles cracking]
