Days of Our Lives Transcript Wednesday 5/22/02
Nancy: Craig, just who is this Cecelia Marin person, anyway?
Craig: Nancy, she's world-renowned. She's the one who debuted at the met when she was 22 years old, and she's worshiped for her cosi fan tutte.
Nancy: Well, her cosi fan tutte is finito as far as this mother is concerned. Craig, I can't get anybody at that school to accept my phone calls. And furthermore, that secretary of hers, she told me that Miss Marin is selecting her master class today, and can't possibly reschedule Chloe's audition!
Craig: Sweetie, look, if there's nothing you can do, there's nothing you can do.
Nancy: This is Chloe's future we're talking about. It's her dream to be in that stupid class, and I am going to make it happen!
Craig: I know, sweetie.
Nancy: Craig, 17 years ago, I let my daughter down, and I will be damned if I will let it happen again.
Mimi: Can you believe what a tramp she is?
Chloe: Yeah, I've seen the proof.
Mimi: Miss Cynthia loves her lattés. But Phil's definitely on the right track about getting information out of her about Jan.
Mimi: Excellent move, Phil. Hey, are you sure you're okay with this? I mean, it's kind of weird, isn't it, watching your guy put his hands on another girl?
Jan: It's so much fun hanging out together like this. I love having quality time with you.
Shawn-D: Yeah, uh, so what's this important thing that you wanted to tell me?
Shawn-D: Um, I really want to hear what it is, but later, 'cause Belle's still over there, and I want to talk to her.
Jan: Shawn, you can't.
Shawn-D: What are you doing?
Sami: Trust me, Belle. My little book of tricks always snags them in the beginning. In fact, maybe you should take notes.
Belle: I don't know, Sami. We're really different, even though we're sisters. What works for you might not work for me.
Belle: How did the world get turned so upside down?
Sami: Belle, whining won't get you where you want to go. I know how to fix things. Are you up for it or not?
Hope: I love you, Brady.
Bo: Fancy Face.
Hope: Bo, we always assumed that the answers we were looking for were buried somewhere in my subconscious.
Hope: But what if it isn't me? I mean, what if the answers lie in something you can't remember?
Bo: What would I have forgotten?
Hope: Okay, just listen. I'm not 100% sure, but I remember being here... with you, wanting you. I remember strong feelings, intense passion.
Bo: Hope, what are you saying?
Hope: What I am saying is I think we were together right here in this room.
Hope: Oh, my God. I remember. But is it really possible?
Nancy: Craig, I just keep running into brick walls.
Craig: I know, sweetie.
Nancy: How could they only schedule one day for these auditions? Aren't opera singers allowed to get sick?
Craig: Well, it's not encouraged. Sweetie, it's not, not when someone in the audience is paying anywhere from $150 on up for a ticket to hear some diva do her thing.
Nancy: Well, according to Chloe, she's never going to get to be a diva unless she gets in this class. Craig, if I just had five minutes with this woman, I know I could convince her to give Chloe a chance. But how can I convince her if I don't know where she's staying?
Craig: Is that all you want to know? Take note.
Shawn-D: If I want to go talk to Belle, that's my business. It's no reason for you to get upset.
Jan: You're right. I'm sorry. I'm not upset about Belle.
Jan: No, Shawn, wait. Please, can't I just talk to you? I know how tough it must be for your family having me live in your house. I only want to try and make things better for all of you, and instead I'm just making it worse. It's okay, Shawn. I mean, you don't have to be polite. You can just go ahead and say it. Say it -- I'm a burden, and you can't wait to get rid of me like yesterday's trash.
Sami: Belle, don't you let her win.
Belle: She already has.
Sami: Why, because she got Shawn into bed and got pregnant with his child? Here's a news flash -- there is no baby anymore. Look, I know it sounds cruel, but it's true. There is nothing to stop you and Shawn from getting back together. He still loves you, right? Smile. That's a good thing. The only hold Jan had over him is gone, okay? So now the field is wide open for my little sister to make her move.
Belle: And what move would that be?
Sami: The ultimate -- you have to get him into bed.
Bo: Tell me. Is what possible?
Hope: You said yourself there were hours missing out of your life when you were in Paris with me that time. Well, I think I'm beginning to remember what exactly took place during those hours.
Bo: Well, tell me.
Hope: We were here...
Hope: In this townhouse, and, uh, you had that white mime makeup on.
Bo: So this is why you've been having those white flashes, because of this white makeup?
Hope: What else? I just need to remember more. I need to remember more, Bo.
Hope: It was definitely you. You had that whiteface on. You were out in the street performing.
Bo: Must have made DiMera's day, turning me into his trained seal.
Hope: It was a test. It was a test to see if the drug had worked, to see if you were truly under his control.
Bo: Damn him.
Hope: Bo, you beat him, 'cause you did something -- you did something Stefano never counted on, something he never knew about. You made love to me. That's what I remember.
Mimi: This spying thing could get old.
Chloe: Yeah, well, Philip can't rush it. He's got to act like he's interested in Cynthia, or she's gonna get suspicious.
Mimi: Yeah, she may be a slut, but she's a smart slut. I just hope this doesn't take too long.
Chloe: Me too.
Philip: Look, Cynthia, I wanted you to know how sorry I am that I treated you like that. I mean, you didn't force me to go over to your house to be with you. My breakup with Chloe wasn't your fault.
Cynthia: Wow. A guy being mature is a really big turn-on for me, not that it's ever happened before -- in real life, I mean. This is a first for me.
Philip: Well, I'm serious. I took advantage of you, and I don't want to do that again. But I would like us to get to know each other better.
Cynthia: What about Chloe?
Shawn-D: I have never treated you like a piece of trash. I wouldn't do that. But... it would be a good idea if you worked things out with your mom. That way you could move back home.
Jan: You would -- you would want me to go back there? After you saw the way she treated me?
Shawn-D: Jan --
Jan: I thought you'd always be there for me, Shawn. I should have known you were too good to be true.
Belle: I can't do something like that. Have sex just to get a guy? That's gross.
Sami: Okay, if you refuse to use a woman's best weapon, then we will move on to plan "C." Doesn't pack quite the same punch, but it will get the job done. It will certainly get Shawn's attention.
Bo: We made love? You're sure you remember us being together?
Hope: Yes, I remember. I remember, Bo.
Bo: Okay, well, slow down here. It's not that I don't want this to be true. I mean, I do, but maybe we want it a little too much. Now you're sure you haven't talked yourself into believing we were together?
Hope: No, no, it's true. It's true, Brady. I remember looking at you, touching you. Oh, God, the way you held me -- me. I was myself. I wasn't Gina during that time. I was Hope, and you were Bo, and, my God, in spite of everything Stefano tried to do to make us forget, we couldn't forget our love. You kissed me. It was like the first time you had kissed me. It was that magical. Bo, God, I wanted you so badly. I had never felt anything so intense in all my life. Of course, at the time, I mean, I didn't understand it, because the Gina part of me wouldn't let me, but... what I was feeling was our love. We made love right there. All this time I thought I had betrayed our love, but I hadn't. I thought Stefano controlled me so completely, but he couldn't, because our love was too powerful. Oh, my God, Brady, do you know what this means?
Philip: Chloe and I are history. I mean, why would I want to waste my time on a girl who isn't totally into me? Right? But I've got a feeling it could be different with you. I know we only had that one date, but, uh, we had a pretty good time, right? So I guess I'm wondering if you'd be into picking up where we left off. Sound good?
Sami: Oh, come on, Belle, I turned you into a total hottie. I can't believe I'm looking at my innocent little sister. Let go!
Belle: I can't believe it, either, okay? I am so embarrassed.
Sami: Oh, it will all be worth it when Shawn starts drooling.
Belle: Sami, I don't want to get him like this.
Sami: Oh, stop complaining. Snap out of it. God gave you good looks for a reason.
Boy #2: Nice.
Boy: Looking fine.
Belle: Do you see what I mean?
Sami: Yes. I've turned you into a total guy magnet. Shawn is not going to be able to keep his hands off of you, and he's going to be like, "Jan who?"
Mimi: Oh, my God, what are you doing?
Belle: May I please borrow your sweater? Hold this, Chloe.
Sami: Oh, you are being ridiculous, Belle.
Belle: I can't help it, Sami. I'm just not comfortable letting it all hang out.
Sami: Okay, fine. Good luck getting your boyfriend back without me. Goodbye.
Belle: I'm going to go return these stupid clothes. I'll be back.
Victor: Well, perfect timing, Sami. I believe you have something for me.
Bo: Okay, wait a minute. Just hold on.
Hope: No, no, no, I don't want to hang on. Bo, hold on? Hold on? I have finally remembered after all these years.
Bo: Yeah, but you're way out in front of me. I got to catch up.
Hope: You're catching up. I already told you, we made love right there almost three years ago. My God, Brady, we overcame Stefano's mind control to be together. We may have conceived a child. Okay, remember when you took Isaac out of my arms at .Com, and you had that white flash? Well, maybe it was your subconscious telling you, you were holding your son.
Bo: Hope, that's --
Hope: It's -- Bo, it's possible. It's truly possible. Isaac could be your son, Brady.
Craig: Damn. The receptionist wouldn't give me any information as to where Cecelia Marin was staying. I'm sorry, honey. It's just --
Nancy: Who do those Julliard people think they are, anyway -- the CIA? I mean, what's with all the secrets?
Craig: Okay, okay, wait. Let's think this through. If you were an opera diva and you were staying in New York City, where would it be?
Nancy: Well... it would have to be on 5th Avenue in a suite, of course, with, uh, a hairdresser on staff and a masseur.
Craig: And that's where we'll start.
Nancy: But wait a second. What if -- what if she's so private she's registered under another name?
Craig: Well, we're just going to have to find out.
Sami: What do you want, a high-five?
Victor: You know, it's amazing how you continue to have spirit, considering the fact that you are a broken woman and I'm the man that broke you. Hand it over, Sami.
Sami: Hand what over?
Victor: Cut the bull.
Mimi: Hey, Brady. How does it feel to be legal?
Brady: Mimi, unlike you, I haven't been jail bait for years.
Mimi: Will you wait for me?
Brady: How are you feeling?
Chloe: I'm okay.
Brady: Still bummed about the audition?
Chloe: I really don't want to talk about it.
Brady: Okay. But if you ever do, you know where to find me, any time.
Brady: Guess you saw that.
Chloe: You mean Philip and Cynthia? I'm not surprised.
Brady: You know, Philip has no class. How could he go from being with you to dating Salem High's resident sl--
Mimi: Hey. Watch your language. We're underage, remember?
Brady: Cynthia's had a bad rep since fifth grade. How could Philip get mixed up with her?
Mimi: Hey, don't be so hard on him. He's doing a favor --
Chloe: Yeah, um, Mimi's right, for once in her life. Philip is doing me a favor by moving on with his life. Now, if you will excuse me, I really have to get going.
Mimi: Bye, Brady.
Philip: All right, that beautiful smile tells me we're on. So can I take you to dinner?
Cynthia: Dinner. Sure. And then we can go back to my place for dessert. My parents are going to be out of town again. I can turn off the video cameras this time so we can have complete privacy.
Philip: Yeah, let's, uh, let's do dinner first, and then we'll -- we'll see about later. I don't want to take anything for granted, you know?
Mimi: He did it. He got a date with Cynthia.
Chloe: It won't be long now before we find out the truth about Jan and Shawn.
Jan: I guess I'm getting what I deserve. I laughed at Mimi when she was homeless. Now I'm the one that'll be living out of a cardboard box.
Shawn-D: Jan, you're not... we're not kicking you out, okay? You don't have to go until you're ready.
Jan: Really? Oh, I have been so miserable about losing the baby. It has -- it has meant so much to me to be close to you. You're such a great person. I mean, you're like my angel, the way you take care of me. You and your parents are the only people who've ever been so great to me, Shawn. Thank you. Thank you.
Bo: Hope, I don't think we sho--
Hope: You were saying?
Bo: I was saying I don't think we should go on feelings here. We got to look into this thing.
Hope: Fine. Go ahead. Do your own investigation. Go around, go door-to-door asking all your questions. We'll have a DNA test done when we get back to the States, okay?
Hope: And it'll prove exactly what I already know in my heart... that you are Isaac's father.
Hope: Oh, Brady, hold me. Oh, God.
Bo: Okay. [Drops keys]
Bo: See what you do to me? Come on...
Julie: Hi, honey! How do you like this beret? I couldn't resist.
Hope: Oh, sweetie, we have missed you so much!
Bo: But we got you now!
Hope: Yeah, we certainly do.
Julie: Well, I know he's a cutie, but remember, you just saw him at breakfast.
Hope: Oh, I love this beret on him. You know what? I'm going to get daddy one just like it, and you two can be twins.
Julie: Are you two okay? Perhaps a few too many café au laits?
Doug: Or maybe, just maybe they have discovered some clues about, you know, who the daddy is.
Hope: Well, we don't -- won't know about anything for a while.
Bo: No, but we -- we're just glad to be back with this little guy.
Julie: Well, don't get any dreams about playing tag with him. This kid has done Paris top to bottom, and he needs a nap.
Doug: So do grandma and grandpa.
Bo: Okay. You know what? You go ahead. I'll lay down with him.
Hope: You know what? I'm going to lay down with the both of you, and we'll sing. How about singing? Yeah.
Bo: Or maybe tell a story.
Julie: He doesn't need a slumber party, guys. He needs some rest, so Doug and I can take him right now.
Doug: Yes, nothing like an afternoon nap, Parisian style.
Julie: I can take him.
Bo: No, not yet, not yet.
Bo: Yeah. Daddy's waited a long time. Yeah.
Doug and Julie: Au revoir!
Bo: This is the best day of my life. Well, one of 'em, anyway. What, what is it? What's wrong? Where are you?
Hope: His name. Every time I hear his name, it reminds me -- I mean, it's like -- it's like Lexie is here in the room with us, keeping hold of our baby, stealing Isaac all over again. And you know what? Day after day, I just -- I can't deal with that every day.
Bo: Neither can I. How about we come up with a nickname for him? You know, something that's like Isaac, but not.
Hope: Um... how about Zach? I like it. Do you like it?
Bo: I think it's perfect. Zach -- yeah.
Hope: You're a genius, you know that?
Bo: Yeah, well, sometimes... I think I'm psychic. I really do. You know, when I was holding Isaac -- I mean, holding Zach...
Hope: Yeah. Zach. Zach.
Bo: Zach. I felt this connection, this... I really did feel like I could be his pop.
Hope: I know you are.
Bo: I just wish I could remember making love to you that time.
Hope: Hmm... maybe there's some way I could help you recover that memory.
Craig: Sir, if you are familiar with Ms. Marin's temperament, then I am sure you know how furious she'll be if I don't show up to do magic on her larynx, and I will be sure to inform her that it was you who denied her physician's access. You will? I mean, uh, thank you very much. Got it. Thank you. Hotel and room number. Make the call.
Nancy: Call? No way! We are going to go see Cecelia Marin in the flesh, Craig. Pack your bags. We're on our way to New York City.
Belle: Today is, like, the weirdest day. Is it a full moon or something?
Belle: Philip and Cynthia -- I thought I was seeing things. I mean, he hates her. He wanted to rip her eyes out. He was so mad about the videotape, and now they're, what, dating?
Mimi: He's -- he's a guy. They're a lower life form. What do you expect? I'm starved. I think I'm going to go get a cinnamon bun. They're huge. We can share.
Belle: Why is Philip with Cynthia, and why aren't you upset about it?
Chloe: Look, I know that you're just trying to help, but it's not your problem. Look, I've got to get home. I'll see you later.
Cynthia: Call me soon. Don't make me wait.
Brady: What the hell do you think you're doing?
Victor: Well, everything seems to be in order. The Roberto-Kate audio tapes and the x-rated pictures of Kate.
Sami: That's right. It's all there. I held up my end of the bargain, so I want to know when --
Victor: Bargain? This is no bargain, Sami. I gave you an order, and you had no choice but to comply.
Sami: All right. Fine, have it your way. I did what you wanted. Now, when do I get the tape from Las Vegas?
Victor: The tape? You actually thought this was a trade? That's not the way it works, Sami.
Sami: Damn it, Victor.
Nancy: Chloe. Sweetheart, um, what are you doing here?
Chloe: Due to an accident at birth, I live here.
Nancy: I'm sorry. I just mean --
Craig: I got the reservations, sweetheart.
Nancy: Uh, look who's here.
Chloe: Hi. I'm Chloe. I have a room at the top of the stairs, remember?
Craig: Yeah, uh, as a matter of fact, it's right next to ours. Um, I'm just surprised. I thought you were out with friends.
Chloe: Yeah, well, friends can be exhausting sometimes. So, what was that about a reservation?
Nancy: Oh, well, Craig found this romantic inn out in the country, and he decided tonight was the night we should go for dinner, and, uh, it's way out of town -- way, way out of town -- so we won't be home till late.
Chloe: Yeah, well, enjoy your dinner.
Nancy: We can't wait!
Nancy: Sweetheart, that was way too close.
Craig: Yeah. Nancy, I think we should tell her what we're doing.
Nancy: Are you kidding?
Nancy: If Chloe finds out, she'll kill us!
Sami: Damn it, Victor, I -- what do you mean, that's not the way it works?
Victor: I never promised to give you the tape.
Sami: I gave you that envelope. I don't see why you won't give me the Vegas tape.
Victor: Because I don't give up control, certainly not to the likes of you. I have got the power now, Sami, and if you want to survive, you'll do things my way.
Philip: What's your problem, dude?
Brady: You, Philip. As if you haven't hurt Chloe enough, she's got to see you sitting here with Cynthia's hands all over you. Do you have any idea what that does to Chloe?
Philip: Man, it's not what it looks like, Brady.
Brady: Yeah, I've heard that one before.
Philip: Just shut up, okay? You don't understand.
Brady: Then explain it to me.
Mimi: 'Cause we're too young to drown our sorrows in booze, sugar rush.
Mimi: So, did they give you a hassle -- I mean, about returning that crazy outfit?
Belle: No. They were actually really nice. It's good. I never should have listened to Sami in the first place.
Mimi: Yeah, her clothes are kind of tacky -- no offense.
Belle: She was just trying to help me change my life.
Mimi: You don't need changing. You're perfect. You're Belle Black.
Belle: My life was never perfect. That was just an illusion, or a mirage, or wishful thinking. I don't know. After the crazy stuff I've been through this past year -- everything with my Dad, Jan losing her baby --
Mimi: That wasn't your fault. It couldn't have been. No matter how big of a witch Jan is, there's no way you would hurt anybody like that.
Belle: Shawn thinks I would. He still thinks that I wanted to kill Jan's baby. Meems, I swear, I never wanted that to happen.
Bo: Fancy Face.
Hope: I love you, Brady.
Bo: I love you, Fancy Face.
Bo: Hope, Hope, I remember.
Hope: Are you telling me it worked?
Hope: Damn, I am good.
Bo: Yes, you are. It was just like you said it was. We were in Princess Gina's townhouse, and you took that makeup off my face, and we did it.
Hope: Oh, Bo.
Bo: We -- we -- I called you Fancy Face, you called me Brady. We weren't DiMera's pawns or robots or anything. We were ourselves.
Hope: That's right.
Bo: And we made love.
Hope: Yes, Brady.
Bo: Incredible, blow-the-roof-off love.
Bo: But nothing like this is going to be, if I can get out of these --
Nancy: I understand. Thank you. Sweetie, there'll be a car waiting for us at La Guardia. Now, I ordered a limo, but they couldn't promise on such short notice.
Craig: Okay, okay. What is with all this luggage, Nancy? We're not going to even be in New York long enough to unpack.
Nancy: Craig, I like to be prepared for everything. Oh, hurry, hurry! Chloe, honey, we're leaving now! Bye-bye!
Chloe: Only Nancy could get so excited about a dinner date.
[Telephone rings] [Ring]
Chloe: Hello? Confirming what? A limo in New York? No, I'm sorry -- on second thought, yes, I do. Nancy, you'd better not be. Cecelia Marin? Oh, my God, Nancy, I'm gonna kill you!
Victor: Are you quite clear, Sami? You get nothing, I get everything. That's the way it works from now on. Got it? Excellent. Think of yourself as a bug, a bug that I can squash anytime I feel like it.
Brady: Philip, I can't wait to hear your latest lame explanation. You've hurt Chloe so many times, so many ways.
Philip: And why is this any of your business?
Brady: Because Chloe's my friend, and I would really like to see her get on with her life without a loser like you messing things up for her.
Philip: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, she's not moving on with you, if that's what you're thinking. I'm getting Chloe back.
Belle: I never would have left that house if I thought something was wrong with Jan. I swear to you, Mimi...
Mimi: Hey --
Belle: She looked completely fine.
Mimi: Do I need convincing? You are a totally wonderful person, Belle, and everybody knows that.
Belle: Yeah, well, Shawn forgot.
Mimi: Yeah, well, he forgot a lot of things, the jerk. God, like that he loved you.
Belle: I really never thought he would lose faith in me.
Mimi: Forget him. Come on. There's a little baby bulldog puppy at the pet store. Let's cheer ourselves up.
Belle: Okay. Ha ha.
Shawn-D: I was wrong to blame you, Belle.
Sometimes I wonder how I ever got along without you,
