Austin: Have you lost your mind, trying to strangle my mother?
Sami: Oh, my God! She set this up! Austin, she made this happen!
Kate: Aah! I canít breathe!
Sami: Oh, you liar!
Austin: Mom, do you need a doctor?
Kate: No, I donít -- I donít think so. Oh, Austin, I was just so afraid she was going to kill me.
Sami: Oh, you canít kill a witch! I just wish I could.
Austin: That's it. I'm taking you out of here.
Sami: Austin! Let go! I'm going to get you, Kate.
Kate: Ha ha ha ha. That's right, Sami. You canít kill me, but you can keep on trying. That's exactly what I want to happen. Ha ha ha ha.
Belle: Oh, Shawn. What is going on with you and Jan? Why canít you tell me? Guess all I can do is wait. Nothing's going to be right with us until things are right with your family.
Hope: You like this? It's a new recipe. Personally, I think it has a little bit too much oregano. Sort of takes over -- you know, but then again, who ever said I could cook, because I canít?
Bo: Hope, Hope. Stop.
Bo: Pretending everything's okay.
Hope: Well, it is... right now.
Bo: And tomorrow? What happens tomorrow?
Hope: Bo, please.
Bo: Say it.
Hope: Glen will be spending some time with J.T.
Bo: With his son.
Hope: Donít. He's your son, Brady.
Bo: It's not up to us. Now, we have to accept that.
Hope: Yeah -- canít I just spend a pleasant evening with my family as if this whole mess never happened?
Bo: Well, it did happen, and we've got to face it. This is just the beginning. If we canít deal with this now, what's going to happen when -- if things get worse?
Lexie: We're paying Cameron Reese a fortune to make Glen Reiber go away. Why the hell is he still here making trouble?
Rolf: Well, unfortunately, my dear, working with mental lightweights presents special challenges.
Lexie: I want them gone, Rolf -- now.
Rolf: Fear not, Alexandra. Even a cretin like Glen Reiber will be able to read the writing on the wall eventually.
Lexie: Oh, oh, wonderful, wonderful. So in the meantime, we'll just sit back while Bo, Hope, and John scheme to take my son away from me?
Rolf: They havenít got one scintilla of proof that Isaac is Hope's son, and our lawyers will make sure they donít get any for at least another year. By then, you and your little boy will be more bonded than ever, and the judge will be even less likely to take him away.
Lexie: I hope you're right, Rolf.
Rolf: Relax, Alexandra. Your precious Isaac is going to grow up right here with you, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
Marlena: Oh, there you are. Where are you going dressed like that?
John: I wonít be long, sweetheart.
Marlena: You didnít answer my question.
John: I'm going to go see Lexie. I'm going to talk some sense into her.
Marlena: Please donít do that. The situation is so volatile already, especially between you and Lexie. She sees you as a threat to her security and... to the security she feels with her child. What could you possibly accomplish by -- by confronting her again?
John: There are ways to make people cooperate.
Marlena: Well, that sent chills down my spine. What are you talking about? How would you make her cooperate?
Chloe: I'm doing what I donít want to do.
Philip: Chloe Lane never does anything she doesnít want to do.
Chloe: That's what scares me, Philip. Sometimes when I'm around you, I donít feel like me.
Philip: I know how that goes. I guess it's true -- love changes people.
Chloe: Yeah, but it shouldnít change who we are, and it shouldnít make us more miserable than it makes us happy.
Philip: Wasnít the miserable part being away from each other? I-I'm sorry for what I said to you before -- bringing up all that stuff from the past. This was supposed to be a special day for you.
Chloe: I'd rather it be real. And, Philip, I do feel something being here with you. Like I said before -- scared. And the truth is, I'm afraid of being with you, and I'm afraid of not being with you. But what I'm really afraid of is feeling this way.
Brady: Chloe! Chloe, what happened? God, Chloe, are you all right? Chloe!
Belle: Shawn... will it ever be like that again?
Hope: I canít face this. I canít do it, Brady. Anything but this. I canít face it.
Shawn D.: Mom? Dad? What happened? What -- is it J.T.? Is he sick?
Bo: No, no. He's fine. He's sleeping.
Shawn D.: Now? Whoa, this late in the afternoon, he sleeps -- I guess him and I are going to be up late watching Carson Daly tonight.
Bo: There's something you need to know.
Shawn D.: Okay, well, if it has anything to do with J.T. being taken away, I donít want to hear it.
Bo: The two of you are going to have to learn to deal with this. Starting tomorrow, everything's going to be different.
Shawn D.: Tomorrow? What are you talking about?
Bo: Glen Reiber's going to be spending time with J.T. Like I told you, he's got court-ordered visitation rights.
Shawn D.: So soon?
Bo: Yeah, and we're going to have to learn to deal with this...
Bo: All of us.
Shawn D.: It's not me I'm worried about. What if J.T. canít deal with it? What if he gets upset or scared and he has trouble breathing, Dad?
Bo: Glen and the social worker know all about J.T.'s condition. They have agreed to stay near the hospital in case something goes wrong.
Shawn D.: Oh, that's great. Perfect, Dad. Why donít you make it really easy on them?
Hope: Shawn, stop it. Stop it.
Shawn D.: Sorry. I didnít -- I-I didnít mean --
Bo: It's okay. You're looking for someone to blame. I understand. Like I told your mom, the only thing we can do right now is pray that Glen Reiber decides to leave J.T. with us... where he belongs.
Shawn D.: I'll pray for that, harder than I've prayed for anything in my entire life.
Hope: Honey, uh, sit down, okay? And I'll bring you something to eat.
Shawn D.: Mom --
Shawn D.: I'm sorry. I donít -- I donít have any time.
Bo: What's up?
Shawn D.: I told you, I need to borrow the truck. I was just coming down to grab the keys.
Bo: Where are you going?
Shawn D.: Dad, I'm in a hurry.
Bo: What's going on tonight that's so urgent?
Jan: I'm going to get rid of this baby, but I canít do it here in Salem. I need you to drive me to Chicago. Will you do it? Will you come with me?
Shawn-d: I'm sorry, Dad. -- I canít tell you that.
Hope: Well, that makes it very easy for us, because if you canít tell us, you canít go, honey.
John: Forget what I said, all right? I didnít mean anything by it.
Marlena: Why do you need your briefcase to talk to Lexie?
John: Oh, I thought I'd stop by the office on the way home. I've got a ton of reports to put in the computer.
Marlena: Have Kate do that, huh?
John: Well, I would, but she's out of town.
Marlena: Is there something you're not telling me?
John: Actually, there is.
John: I love you.
Marlena: I love you.
Belle: Talking to yourself, Mom?
Marlena: Oh, well, it happens to the best of us, honey.
Belle: So... what did dad do now?
John: Get yourself ready, Lexie. I'm on my way over.
Philip: Chloe. Chloe. Chloe, what happened? Why did you pass out like that?
Chloe: I donít know. Maybe I'm coming down with the flu or something. I-I wasnít out. I could hear you.
Philip: Oh, my God, you're -- you're bleeding. I'm taking you to the hospital to get you checked out. Come on.
Chloe: No. I'm fine, really. I'm fine now.
Philip: No, it isnít.
Chloe: Just... take me home, Philip. Take me home.
Philip: All right, come on. Let's go. Careful.
Austin: Sit down.
Sami: Come on. No, Austin, you have to understand.
Austin: Pull yourself together, please.
Sami: Look, your mother made this happen. Kate is evil.
Austin: My mother made this happen? That's impossible. You hold all the cards here, Sami. You have an ironclad deal. We wouldnít even be here unless you said it was okay.
Sami: And the only reason I did was because of you, Austin. I didnít want you to hate me. If I told you, "no, I really donít want Lucas to wake up," you'd think I was a horrible person, right? See? I'm right, arenít I? Kate wins either way. I mean, she made me choose between you hating me and helping her bring her rotten, alcoholic son back into this world. Either way, I lose.
Kate: Oh, sweetie... it's me. It's mom. Guess what -- I won again. Sami tried to choke me, and Austin saw the whole thing. Well, I know some people would say that I shouldnít tell you things like that, that I should keep everything positive and upbeat -- but I know my Lucas, and when it comes to Sami, you feel just the way that I do. Bad news is music to our ears.
Kate: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, I knew it. You're coming back to me. Oh, sweetie, you're coming back.
Kate: I'm here, sweetie. I'm right here. Your mom's here, and she loves you very much. Oh, Lucas... you have to wake up. You have to wake up. You have to open your eyes. Please talk to me.
Kate: Will, come here, hurry. Come on, sweetie. You're going to have to come over here -- here you go -- and talk to your daddy again. Ask your daddy to wake up just like you did before.
Will: Daddy, wake up, please. Wake up.
Kate: Oh, that's right, honey, that's right. It's Will. Will is right here. He's sitting right next to you. Honey, he loves you so much. He does, sweetie, but you have to tell him that you love him, too. Oh, please, Lucas. Lucas, wake up. Wake up.
Marlena: Your father had some business to take care of, something about inputting reports into his computer.
Belle: Then why do you look so worried?
Marlena: I always look worried. I am a mother. What's going on with you?
Belle: Me? I'm okay. It's Shawn that I'm worried about. He just loves his little brother so much. I can tell he's been trying not to talk about it too much the last couple of days -- the whole J.T. situation, but... I just know it's torturing him.
Marlena: Of course it is. He must be so grateful for all your support. I bet it makes a big difference.
Belle: Maybe not.
Marlena: Why would you say that?
Belle: I just -- I donít think he relies on me that much anymore. You know, he has his other friends.
Marlena: Other friends?
Belle: He's been spending a lot of time with Jan -- Jan Spears.
Marlena: Yeah, I know -- I know who Jan is, mm-hmm.
Belle: He said he's helping her with something.
Marlena: With what?
Belle: I donít know, because he wonít tell me. He said Jan asked him not to.
Marlena: Do you not believe him? Do you think he's not telling you the truth?
Shawn D.: Look, I understand that you guys are concerned, but I'm not doing anything wrong. You have to believe that.
Hope: Well, honey, if it's not wrong, then why canít you tell us about it?
Shawn D.: Because I promised I wouldnít. A friend of mine is in trouble. I told her I'd help her.
Hope: In trouble, how?
Bo: We can trust his judgment.
Hope: Fine, fine. You can go, but at least eat something first, okay?
Shawn D.: Mom, thank you, but, really, I donít have any time, okay?
Hope: But I-I...
Shawn D.: I love you.
Hope: I love you, too, honey. Well, if he's just not going to eat anything, then I'll make him a sandwich, and he can take it with him.
Bo: Hope, wait.
Bo: I have a little something I want to tell you. I love you very much.
Hope: I feel your love every minute, Brady. I couldnít go on if I didnít.
Bo: We're going to make it through this. All we go to do is hang on to each other. Things are going to be okay in the end.
[Doorbell rings] [Doorbell rings]
Lexie: Where is Eliana?
Lexie: Go away.
John: Wait, wait, wait. I'm here to apologize.
Lexie: Yeah, right.
John: I'm serious. I'm serious.
Lexie: John, I donít believe anything that comes out of your mouth.
John: Look, Lexie, you and I relate to each other on a whole different level than anybody else in Salem.
Lexie: Really? And why is that?
John: Because, in a sense, you and I are both DiMera.
Lexie: You're up to something.
John: What would you say if I -- I told you I changed my mind about letting you raise my son?
Lexie: I'd say you're lying.
John: Well, I guess there's only one way to find out.
Lexie: Okay. All right. I'll hear you out. But let's make one thing clear -- Isaac isnít your son. He's mine. Nobody's but mine. Understood?
John: Yeah. Did your father ever talk to you about nerve bundles?
John: See, this wonít hurt... much, I think.
Bo: Hey. I'm not trying to placate you. I really do believe everything's going to be okay. No matter what happens, you and I, we're strong enough to make it through this.
Hope: I'd better make that sandwich for Shawn.
Hope: Oh. [J.T. Cries]
Shawn D.: Hey, bro. Hey. Hey, hey. Yeah, I wish I could hang out, too, but there's something I got to do. Remember that girl I told you about -- Jan? Yeah, well, I got to go help her out. She's in some trouble. But, hey, I want you to do something for me, all right? Tomorrow, when that guy comes for you, I want you to remember what I taught you, okay? "I wonít go." That's all you have to say. He's going to probably pretend to be all nice, but donít let him fool ya, all right? All right, yeah, okay? Donít him let him con you into thinking that you belong anywhere else but here... with us. With me. Come here, bud. Come here. Come here. [Laughing] I love you, buddy. I love you.
Shawn D. : You belong with me, all right? I canít let you go.
Belle: Of course I believe Shawn. I love him, and I'm committed to him. I donít know how I ever got through life without him. Why are you looking at me like that?
Marlena: Well, it's... great to be in love, but --
Belle: But what?
Marlena: But when you said "I donít know how I could've gotten through life without him" --
Belle: I donít. It's true. Would you have been able to get through life if you had never met dad?
Marlena: Your father and I have been together a very long time.
Belle: Oh, oh, so that makes your relationship more important than mine.
Marlena: No, no, I did not say that.
Belle: But you're thinking that. Shawn is just one of the millions of boyfriends I'm going to have in my life, that it's no big deal.
Marlena: Belle --
Belle: It is a big deal, Mom, and Shawn is a big deal. He may be keeping something from me, but -- but it's not that unusual.
Marlena: What does that mean?
Belle: Wasnít dad doing the exact same thing to you?
Marlena: We're not talking about your father and me right now.
Belle: What, Mom? It's a pretty good analogy. Come on. Dad could do what he did with Shawn's mom. What makes you think he's not keeping other things from you?
John: I've always found this particular lock down your daddy taught me highly effective. I hope you're not very uncomfortable.
Eliana: Rolf! Oh, my gosh, he's dead.
John: I should've done that years ago.
Nancy: Nothing, nothing. Just keep reading your journal.
Nancy: Well, all that talk we just had about brides and things -- it's got me sort of feeling bridal, if you know what I mean.
Craig: You little vixen you.
Nancy: Ooh. Vixen?
Craig: Or, should I say, the innocent farmer's daughter?
Nancy: Oh, no, no, Mr.. Traveling Salesman, not now. The south 40 still needs to be plowed.
Craig: Yeah, well, got anything else that needs plowing, missy?
Nancy: [Giggles] Fresh.
Craig: That's what I'm trying to be.
Nancy: Well, you know what I do to fresh boys.
Craig: Ooh, remind me.
Nancy: [Giggles] [Whispering]
Craig: Ha ha ha! Thanks for reminding me.
Nancy: Ha ha ha!
Chloe: Philip, look, you can go now, seriously.
Nancy: What's he doing here?
Craig: I donít know.
Chloe: Thank you for taking me home, but you can go now.
Philip: No way. I'm not going until you tell them what happened.
Chloe: I can handle this, Philip.
Nancy: Handle what? What happened?
Chloe: Nothing. Philip was overreacting, as usual.
Craig: Well, um, why donít you tell us and let us decide, hmm?
Philip: Not if Chloe doesnít want me to.
Nancy: Tell us what happened, one of you, right now!
Philip: Look, I'm sorry, Chloe, I have to. Look, Chloe fainted.
Craig and Nancy: What?
Philip: She wasnít out for very long, but when she came to, her nose was bleeding.
Craig: Sweetheart, are you okay? Have you ever had a nosebleed before?
Philip: No, no, this was her first one.
Chloe: Okay, you guys can stay here and talk about nothing. I'm going upstairs to lie down.
Craig: Chloe... hey, tell me exactly what happened. Take it from the beginning.
Chloe: Oh... oh, I'm dizzy.
Chloe: Oh, my God, what is this? What's wrong with me?
Sami: This was such a mistake. I never should've let this happen.
Austin: Why, because there's nothing in it for you? I donít believe you. My brother has been fighting for his life for months, and the only thing you can think about is you.
Sami: No, this is not about me, this is about what's best for my son, Austin, and I can tell you that Kate and Lucas Roberts are not it. I know that much.
Austin: I donít believe this.
Sami: Austin, your mother is evil, through and through. She's the only person I know who would actually sell her soul to the devil for power. I mean, and she's a witch. I mean, her son is just as bad, and you know what? If he ever wakes up, that'll be it for us, Austin -- the end, finito.
Kate: Lucas, darling, we're here for you. Will and me have been waiting for you to come back to us. Oh, Lucas, you need to come back to us.
Doctor: What's going on?
Kate: Lucas, it's me. It's your mom. Honey, I know you can hear me. It's time for you to wake up, to look at us. Look at me. Please, Lucas.
Doctor: He hears you. He's trying to respond.
Kate: His heart is so filled with love right now... for me and mostly for this little boy, for his little Will.
Kate: Sweetie, that's right. That's right. Will is right here. He's right here with me. We're waiting for you, honey.
Shawn D.: I just, uh, I needed to see him.
Bo: Yeah, I understand.
Shawn D.: Look, Dad, uh, about what I said to you before --
Bo: Hey. Forget it.
Shawn D.: No, I'm not talking about downstairs, I'm talking about over at DiMera's, when I said that you didnít want to keep J.T. because he's not yours. That was totally unfair... and awful. I know that you love J.T. just as much as we all do.
Shawn D.: So I-I'm just -- I'm sorry.
Bo: Life is all about choices -- some you regret and some you donít. But I'll tell you one thing, you'll never regret loving someone. No matter how it turns out, it's always worth it. Only thing in life that is.
Shawn D.: I got to go, Dad, so... can you --
Bo: Shawn, hey, you sure you wonít tell me where you're going? Hmm?
Shawn D.: I promised I wouldnít, but, uh, donít worry. I'm doing the right thing, just like my dad.
Shawn D.: See you, bud.
Marlena: Belle, your daddy is an honest decent man, and he's not -- I repeat -- he is not hiding anything from us. Belle, we -- we -- you and Brady and I -- we are everything to him, and he would never want to do anything that would hurt us or deceive us. You know that about him.
Belle: I do, Mom, but everything just feels so different now. Mom, why canít everything just be the way it was?
Marlena: It will be, I promise you. It will be.
Eliana: You killed him. Oh, my God, you killed him!
John: Shut it up, or you'll be next.
Eliana: What do you want?
John: Where's the baby?
Lexie: Unh-unh, unh-unh!
John: Where is the baby?
Lexie: [Muffled screams]
John: Sit down! You're not going anywhere, are you? No.
Eliana: Donít hurt him, please. Donít hurt the baby! Please donít hurt the baby!
Austin: I feel like our relationship is strong enough, that nothing can hurt us, but that's what I believe. I wish you would, too.
Sami: I want to, Austin, but I'm just scared because I know your mother is going to be able to find a way to use this against us, the way she always does.
Doctor: He's back. Ms. Roberts wanted you to know.
Doctor: Lucas -- he actually spoke to his mother! Just a word or two, and now he's trying very hard to talk to his little boy.
Kate: I knew it. Now we're going to have everything we ever wanted -- you and I, Austin and Will. We're going to have it all. But first we have to dispose of one little thing. Sami.
Nancy: Look, Philip, maybe you did something to upset her.
Philip: I didnít. I swear. In fact, it's the best talk we've had in ages.
Nancy: Oh, so you were pressuring her then.
Philip: It wasnít like that!
Nancy: Then what --
Craig: Easy! Relax.
Nancy: Craig, donít tell me to relax. I saw Chloe's face! Now, I may not have been a mother for very long, but I know a sick child when I see one. Craig, she had a bloody nose. She's never had one of those before. It must mean something!
Craig: What it means, Nancy, is that she had a bloody nose. It's very common. It's -- it's not necessarily indicative of anything, okay? Now, just tell her that dinner is ready and say goodbye to Philip. Now.
Craig: Thanks for bringing her home, Philip.
Philip: Dr. Wesley, I really feel funny leaving until I know how she is. If I could just see her for a second --
Craig: She's going to be okay. I'll see you later, okay? Thanks.
Philip: Ah, forget it, man, you're not going to see her now, not while Nancy's around.
[Knock on door]
Nancy: Chloe. Chloe, honey.
Nancy: Chloe. Oh, my God. Craig! Craig, get up here right now!
Marlena: Honey, try not to worry about this anymore. I know it's a rough time. It's rough for Bo and Hope and Shawn, and for us. And we are going to make it through this just fine.
Belle: You still say that like you know it's true.
Marlena: I do. You know, when you were a little tiny, tiny girl, I used to say to you, "everything's going to be all right." And you believed me.
Belle: Maybe I should believe you again just for old time's sake.
Marlena: You should, because it's true.
Shawn D.: I have to change your mind, Jan. I canít let you do this.
Bo: You want a book? There you go. You know something, little guy? I'm trying to be strong for your mom and big brother, but... when it's just you and me... okay, I'll read to you in a minute. How do you do it, huh? How do you do it, little guy? With everything that's happened to you -- and I'm sure you sense what's going --
Bo: You're so happy. Yes, you are. Those first few weeks after you were born -- how could I have backed away from you?
Bo: Yeah, I'm your dad. You're a joy, you're a blessing. And your mom, your big brother, and I, we're crazy about you. Thank you. Thank you. I canít lose you, J.T. I canít.
Lexie: [Muffled screaming] Get my hands. [Panting]
John: That's right -- Isaac's DNA. I'm going to find out whose baby you really have.
Lexie: You're crazy. You canít use that. No court in the world will allow stolen evidence.
John: It's not for a court. It's for me. And once I learn the truth, I'll know what to do with it.
Lexie: You'll pay for this, you bastard! I'll tell Abe what you've done!
John: The hell you will, and I'll tell you why. You are in the DiMera training program right now. I graduated a long time ago, and DiMera do not talk. Therefore, I know you wonít breathe a word of this to anybody.
Rolf: [Groaning] What happened?
John: All right, bring the car around. The lab's waiting.
Lexie: I've never seen John like that. He's crazy, insane! He pushed his way in here, gagged me, tied me up --
Rolf: No, no, no. There is no need to go on. I know exactly what happened.
Lexie: What do you mean?
Rolf: He's back -- the old John is back, and I am afraid our world will never be the same.
