Brady: Chloe, you're kidding yourself. All summer long you were talking about getting voice lessons, going to New York to see opera. What happened to those plans?

Chloe: Where is this coming from?

Brady: I care about you. I'm not going to watch you put your future on hold because you have a destructive relationship with Philip Kiriakis.

Chloe: Where do you get off judging me?

Brady: I thought you liked honesty, Chloe.

Chloe: I don't like being talked down to.

Brady: Fine, but if you're going to be self-destructive, I've not going to hang around and watch. Our friendship will be over.

Belle: Ha ha ha.

Shawn-D: Ha ha ha. Oh, can we stop for a second?

Belle: Yeah.

Maggie: Well, that looks like fun.

Alice: Why aren't you two dancing?

Maggie: Oh, well, we're just taking a little break.

Alice: You aren't babysitting with me, are you?

Mickey: Mom, you got to be kidding. We rely on you to babysit us.

Alice: Ha ha.

Maggie: Lexie's sure put together a beautiful party, hasn't she?

Alice: She certainly has.

Maggie: But...

Alice: But what? Everybody keeps saying that.

Mickey: Well, I think we just all feel, uh, a little ill-at-ease maybe?

Alice: Oh, maybe it's the place. You see, I never thought of myself as drinking champagne in the DiMera garden.

Lexie: You know, honey, I知 going to go tell them to play some good music, okay? Be right back. Time to have another chat.

Abe: Marlena, Bo.

Bo: Hi.

Abe: Hey, look, uh, it's not that you two aren't a lovely couple, but I wonder where the guest of honor's gotten to.

Bart: It's too much, Rolfsky. You're killing her.

Chloe: You don't want to be my friend? Well, you wouldn't be the first.

Brady: I hope you're not lumping me in with the rest of them.

Chloe: We're both compelled to be honest. You have to say it. You don't like the way that I知 running my life. You don't respect me anymore.

Brady: I don't understand what you're doing to yourself. You're putting all of this energy into staying stuck in one place and not moving on and not taking care of the things that are most important to you.

Chloe: I don't have the heart to sing. You're right. You said that when I faced my feelings, my music would come alive, but instead I feel paralyzed, and it's really got me thinking. I was so sure that being an artist was what my life was about. My art should come first.

Brady: Chloe, that's what I知 trying to tell you.

Chloe: But it hasn't come first -- you're right -- and my singing? It's not even art. It's like you told me. It's empty notes. Otherwise, this experience would have changed it. It would have given me passion, but lately, basically, I致e been questioning my whole existence, and I guess you can take some credit for helping me realize that I am an untalented fraud.

Brady: Whoa, whoa, I never said that.

Chloe: Just let me finish. And I know why I知 like this right now. I know it's Philip.

Brady: Glad you realize that. What are you going to do about it?

Chloe: I don't know. I'm confused. Didn't I just get through telling you I'm confused? I just know that, lately, bad things happen when Philip and I have been together.

Brady: Well, what about when we're together?

Chloe: Never.

Belle: Really?

Shawn-D: Maybe a little.

Belle: You don't have to have an excuse, you know.

Shawn-D: I know.

Marlena: Oh, hi, uh...

Belle: Hi, mom. We were just...

Marlena: I'm sorry for my bad timing. I was just coming out to --

Belle: To look for us because you were getting worried. I know.

Shawn-D: Yeah, it's our -- well, my fault, really.

Belle: Your fault. Ha ha.

Shawn-D: We went to Buddy's Burger Barn. See? There's ketchup.

Marlena: Oh, you know what? It's cold out here. Come on. Let's get inside.

Shawn-D: Yeah.

Man: Good evening. Invitation, please?

Shawn-D: Yes. Here you go.

Man: Thank you.

Shawn-D: Thanks.

Man: Ma'am?

Marlena: Hmm? Yes.

Man: Uh, may I see your invitation, please?

[Door closes]

Philip: How am I going to get past security? I hope you appreciate this, Chloe.

Caroline: Oh, dear, well.

Shawn: Oh, my G-- here they are. We thought we saw you earlier, but then you disappeared.

Elizabeth: Oh, yes, I left my bag in the car and then we had to deal with the valet.

Shawn: Ha ha.

Barb: You want to get rid of me? Then give me the down payment on my $2 million or else I really will tell everyone. Do you want to put all these happy-go-lucky partygoers through the shock of hearing that their precious guest of honor has Glennie's baby and that you have Hope's?

Lexie: Stop saying that.

Barb: Then fork over the dough.

John: Problem, ladies?

Lexie: Oh, ha ha, no. No, John, um, Barb was just sharing a recipe.

John: Well, how nice.

Lexie: Ha ha. Yeah.

Barb: A recipe for disaster. I'm telling you, Lexie.

Lexie: If you'll excuse me, I have to go and find my husband.

Belle: Hi, dad.

John: Hey, honey. There you are. Well, now your mother can stop worrying..

Marlena: Oh, dads worry more, don't they?

Belle: Yeah.

John: Yeah, well, maybe. Hey, if you're hungry, help yourself.

Shawn-D: Uh, yeah, we're -- we aren't really hungry.

Belle: Not hungry. Is Brady here?

John: No, he hasn't made his appearance yet.

Belle: Hmm. Mrs. Wesley, is Chloe here yet?

Nancy: No. Ha!

Hope: My God, what is happening to me?

Bart: My God, what are you trying to do? Stefano's going to kill us.

Rolf: You idiot!

Bo: Hey, Fancy Face. What's wrong?

Chloe: You know, you have become one of the most important people in my life, Brady. You're the only person that I can talk to, and I understand why you're exasperated and feel like going away. Hell, I'm exasperated with me, too, but please... Be patient. Don't desert me like everyone else in my life always has.

Brady: Chloe, you know, I can usually walk away from people without looking back.

Chloe: I hope not this time.

Brady: No.

Chloe: I'm glad you said what you did. I really am. It's important for friends to tell each other exactly what they're thinking.

Brady: Well, now that we have all that out of our systems, want to go party? May I?

Chloe: Thank you.

Man: Hey. Hey, you. What are you doing?

Mickey: Jennifer? Hey, you all right?

Jennifer: Yes. Yeah, I'm fine.

Maggie: I think we're all a bit out of sorts. We were just discussing how odd it is to be here.

Mickey: Well, there are a lot of -- a lot of ghosts in this place.

Jennifer: [Sighs] Oh, yeah.

Belle: Ha ha. Sami, I didn't know you guys were going to be here.

Sami: [Laughing] Hey.

Austin: Neither did I. Whoa.

Belle: Well, I'm glad you did come. You look like you're having fun.

Sami: We are celebrating.

Belle: Oh, yeah?

Sami: Well, yeah. Let's dance.

Austin: Okay. All right. You want me to tell your sister that you're engaged?

Sami: No, Austin, I want to tell everybody at the same time when there's been a proper buildup.

Nancy: Here you are -- Chief of Staff, University Hospital -- and not one person is sucking up to you.

Craig: Shh. Nancy, not now, please.

Barb: Can I just say you might want to keep a better eye on your staff. They're not so on the ball.

Craig: Um, do I... I do know you. We fixed your face -- knife wound.

Nancy: Oh, my God, you're the woman who had her face --

Barb: Slashed. Yep, that's me.

Craig: Well, it -- it actually looks like it's healing quite nicely. I-I'm sorry, what was this you were insinuating about, um, hospital errors?

Barb: Oh, I guess you can't do anything to straighten it out unless you know, which you obviously don稚. So maybe I should tell you... But, you know what? Not now. This is a party. So I値l just catch you later.

Craig: Ha ha.

Barb: Oh, and, uh, thanks again for fixing my face.

Abe: Lexie?

Lexie: [Gasps] Huh? Yes. Honey, I値l be right back, okay?

John: Where's she going?

Abe: I-I don't know. I don't know. You know, I-I -- she's so tense. She just wants to make sure everybody has a good time. I hope you are. You having a good time?

John: Oh, you know I am, and I will have even more after I toss down some of your fine champagne.

Abe: Oh. Please. Ha ha.

Bo: Hey, you don't look so good.

Hope: Just a little tired.

Bo: Dizzy, tired -- maybe...

Hope: Maybe what?

Bo: No, you would have told me, unless, of course, you're not sure.

Hope: Not sure of what? Bo, please, say it.

Bo: Could it be you're just a little bit pregnant?

Hope: Yeah...

Bo: Yeah?

Hope: Maybe I知 just a little bit pregnant. That would be wonderful, wouldn't it?

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: Come on. Let's go back outside. All these people did come here to see me. I should probably spend a little time with them, don't you think?

Bo: We could go home.

Hope: I'm fine. I promise. Come on.

Bo: [Sighs] Okay.

Rolf: Get away from me! I know what I'm doing!

Bart: No, you don't. You killed one lady with this voodoo machine and now you're going to do it again!

Rolf: The only person I might kill is you. Now back off!

Man: I said what are you doing?

Philip: My -- my girlfriend's in there, I think.

Man: Let me guess. You don't have an invitation.

Philip: Uh, look, in the interest of romance, and your bank account, maybe a couple $20's would, uh --

Man: Hold it right there. Hands where I can see them. Up against the wall -- now!

Craig: Oh, hello, there. You made it after all.

Nancy: I told you he would.

Craig: Ha ha. I guess you can't avoid the Hortons forever, can you?

Colin: No, I suppose I can稚.

Nancy: So, Elizabeth, um, does this party meet with your lofty European standards?

Elizabeth: Well, I certainly approve of the music, don't you?

Colin: Yes.

Elizabeth: Am I going to have to ask you to dance?

Colin: Um, sorry. You'll excuse us?

Maggie: Jennifer, honey... I can see you're upset. I just want you to know that whatever it is, I知 here.

Jennifer: Thank you, aunt Maggie, and you know that I know that, but to hear it makes me feel a lot better.

Maggie: You know what I知 going to do? I'm going to get us some dessert. A little bit of chocolate makes the whole world a brighter place.

Jennifer: Ahoy, there. Ha ha.

Colin: I'm sorry. I've had quite a lot on my mind lately.

Jennifer: Yeah, I've sensed that.

Colin: The truth is I値l be leaving here soon.

Jennifer: Oh. Well, uh, I'll certainly miss our little talks out here by the fire.

Colin: I will, too.

Colin: It's a pity you won't be coming to Ireland.

Jennifer: Why do you say that?

Colin: Because I've enjoyed getting to know you.

Bo: Hello? Hey.

Hope: Hey. I'm sorry. I'm just, you know, a little nervous. You know how I hate being the center of attention.

Bo: Hmm.

Hope: You know what? I'm going to go freshen up. And, yes...I'm fine. So you save the next dance for me, okay, Brady?

Bo: Okay.

John: I'm looking for Lexie. Have you seen --

Hope: John, you've got to help me.

Bart: He did it.

Lexie: Are you crazy?

Bart: Yes!

Rolf: Y-you burst in here unannounced. How was I to know friend or foe?

Lexie: You have eyes. Next time, look before you shoot. Better yet, don't shoot!

Rolf: Do I not call the shots here -- or no shots, as the case may be?

Lexie: Fine, then you tell me what to do. Brandon has deserted me. Barb is relentless. If I don't give her the money tonight, she's going to tell everyone that I have Hope's biological child. You said that you would take care of Barb. She almost told Craig Wesley a few minutes ago. Oh, God, what am I going to do? I can't lose my baby!

Philip: Chloe...

Man: Hey, I don't care about your romance problems. I'm here to keep you out. You understand?

Philip: But my girlfriend -- she's right there.

Shawn-D: Wow. Well, your sister is definitely in the party mood tonight.

Belle: Look how happy she is. She's so in love.

Shawn-D: Haven't her and Austin known each other for a really long time?

Belle: Yeah, it seems like forever. She's had a crush on Austin since the day they met. She told me she knew then they were destined to be together. There you are. We have been looking for you.

Brady: Hey, Belle, Shawn, we just got here.

Shawn-D: You guys have to try these desserts. They are awesome.

Brady: Ah, I kind of want to dance first. You want to dance?

Chloe: Sure.

Brady: Let's go.

Elizabeth: Your wife has been so kind about helping me acclimate in Salem.

Colin: It was very good of her to invite us.

Caroline: Oh, Colin, Elizabeth, have you met our granddaughter Sami?

Colin: Yes. Hi.

Sami: Hi.

Colin: Here we are, working together, but it took some time before we realized we were related. This is my fianc Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Yes, we've met.

Sami: Boy, did we. And this is my -- my Austin.

Austin: Ha ha ha. How you doing? Nice to meet you. Now, how -- how are you two related again?

Colin: I'll leave that up to our genealogy expert uncle Shawn.

Shawn: Ha ha ha ha.

Colin: And now, if you'll excuse us, Elizabeth and I are parched.

Sami: Oh, oh, sorry. Ah.

Jennifer: Oh, yeah, that's great, Monica, thank you.

Elizabeth: I'm going to the powder room for a second. I'll meet you in the foyer.

Jennifer: Oh, yeah, give her a kiss good night for me. Okay, tell her I won't be late. All right. Bye-bye.

Bo: Hi.

Marlena: Hey there. Where's our guest of honor?

Bo: Ladies' room. She's not feeling too well tonight.

Marlena: Shall I check on her?

Bo: Do you mind?

Marlena: Not at all. Let's go. Let me just grab my bag.

Hope: John, I think you were right. It was wrong for me to come here tonight.

John: What is it?

Hope: Maybe it's the power of suggestion. I don't know. After everything you said to me, I'm just -- I don't know --

John: Just tell me what happened.

Hope: I keep having these flashes of -- I don't know. I'm in a strange place, maybe I'm alone, I... I see colors... Weird distorted images, John.

John: Oh, my God, look at you. You are white. You're shaking.

Hope: No, I知 fine. I don't know maybe I知 coming down with something.

John: I'm getting you out of here right now.

Hope: John, wait. I'm okay. I'm better. I'm okay.

John: You are far from okay, trust me.

Hope: John, just listen to me, okay? When I was pregnant with Shawn, I felt woozy like this all the time. My senses are heightened, okay?

John: I see. And you think that you're...

Hope: I don't know. Maybe.

John: Hope. It is happening. It's happening right now, and you know it. Don't try to suggest it away. I've got to get that chip out of your neck right now.

Hope: Not here, John.

John: Don't worry. Just do not leave this party without me. Damn it! This is what I was afraid of. They're trying to turn you --

Marlena: Hi. There you are. Your husband's been worried about you.

Hope: Oh, Bo, I知 sorry. You know me. I took a trip to the dessert table and, well, you know me and my 馗lairs and desserts.

Marlena: You sure? You look pale.

Hope: I am fine. Actually, what would make me feel even better is to dance in my husband's arms. What do you say, Bo?

Marlena: Hmm. Me too.

Lexie: You said you had everything under control, Rolf. You can't even control John Black. He's there, every time I turn around. And Barb is blackmailing me in front of the whole town.

Rolf: John Black and Barb are easy. You are the problem, Alexandra. I've now lost the last how many minutes talking to you? Now you get back out there and put on your happy face.

Lexie: What about John?

Rolf: Ignore him. Ignore everyone but Hope.

Lexie: And Barb?

Rolf: Just dangle the carrot a little longer. Carrot and stick. That's all that has any meaning to her.

Lexie: I hope it works.

Rolf: Now get out, and do it!

Rolf: Aah! She will never be a DiMera. Never! I will destroy her if I have to -- her and John Black. And it goes without saying, bye-bye, Barb.

Bart: Me?

Rolf: No, no, not Bart, you idiot! The other idiot -- Barb!

Man: I couldn't go through so much trouble for a girl.

Philip: Oh, but I am.

Philip: [Thinking] You think you know what's best for her, but you don't even care. It's always all about you, and that is not good enough for Chloe.

Chloe: I'm really glad that you came back tonight, Brady.

Brady: Yeah, it's nice we got all that stuff out of the way, so we could have some fun tonight.

Chloe: The thought of losing you as my friend... I'm really glad that we came here together.

Brady: Chloe, if our friendship is ruined over this, I'd be really mad if I missed your debut at the met.

Chloe: Ha ha ha. Well, I wouldn't be having one if I kept this up. I'm finally convinced.

Brady: You are?

Chloe: Yeah. You know, I love it when you talk about our friendship in the terms of my dreams. I used to think that you didn't believe in me. Now I understand. Maybe you believe in me even more than I do.

Shawn-D: You know, uh, your brother and Chloe look really together over there.

Belle: And here I was, hoping that they didn't hook up.

Shawn-D: Don't feel guilty.

Belle: I don't feel guilty. I just -- I want Brady to be happy. Of course I want Chloe to be happy, too, I just think that --

Shawn-D: Philip's not going to let them be, no matter what we think.

Belle: He's not going to leave them alone because he's in love. And finally, I totally understand how that feels.

Nancy: Mm, it looks like Chloe is very happy that I forced her to come to this party.

Craig: Mm-hmm.

Nancy: I also twisted somebody's else's arm.

Craig: Oh, yeah, yeah, so you were right as always. You are my better half. Now make me look like I can dance. Ooh.

Nancy: Ha ha ha.

Barb: Mmm...

Lexie: Okay, I'm ready to talk.

Barb: Look, in case you didn't notice, I知 in the middle of eating here.

Lexie: Fine.

Barb: Well, wait. I'll save us some time and eat on the run. My hubby's dying to leave. Look, you'd, uh, want me to tell you the truth, wouldn't you?

Lexie: What?

Barb: Real lame party, hon. I mean, you need a juggler or something or maybe a magician.

Lexie: Well, Barb, you found one.

Barb: Have I?

Lexie: Mm. Yeah. I know I promised you the $50,000 installment tonight.

Barb: And you forgot, 'cause you were so busy doing all this work for your party, ordering people around. Whoo! Very exhausting.

Lexie: Mm, you would know, wouldn't you?

Barb: So you forgot. Well, Lex, all the banks are closed now, so...How do you think you're going to get your hands on my money, 'cause it has to be tonight or else.

Lexie: Okay, okay, I have a way. You just have to be patient.

Barb: Mm, of course, I've never been very good at that, but, hey, I'll give it a try.

Lexie: Good. Hmm. And you know, you might want to watch that food consumption, Barb. Too much of a good thing can make you sick.

Barb: Don't you know it.

Barb: Ha. Yeah, right.

Marlena: I don't understand this. Hope was having memory flashes, but she's not remembering anything?

John: She is. She just says she's feeling woozy, and since I put the idea in her head that something may be happening, perhaps she's just imagining it.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

John: "Mm-hmm"? Come on. Don't you think it's crazy?

Marlena: Well, no, it's actually very logical. You see, human beings are very suggestible, and memories are not concrete things.

John: Tell me about it.

Marlena: And paranoia is contagious.

John: Paranoia, huh?

Marlena: Well, I'm not discounting your suspicions here, but --

John: You're just trying to make me feel better, right? Well, let me tell you something, Doc, you're doing a damn good job of it, 'cause you don't know how wrong I want to be about this thing.

Bo: Walk this way.

Hope: What are you doing?

Bo: Well, you said you didn't like to be the center of attention. How about a little private attention?

Wait for me

Sami: You know how sometimes you want something so badly, and then when you finally get it, you're like, "now what?"

Austin: Yeah.

Sami: Well, that's not at all how I feel. I feel like I've finally gotten everything I ever wanted, and it's perfect. And now I just hope it never changes.

Colin: Hi.

Jennifer: Hi.

Colin: That song they just played -- it's such a coincidence. A lot of coincidences here, really. We danced to it once. Do you remember?

Barb: Oh, just one more of these, okay? They are so good. You got to try these things. They're great. Thank you. Aah! Ha ha ha. Look at this frosting.

Maggie: Really.

Barb: Sorry, honey.

Abe: Excuse me.

Barb: Hey.

Abe: Uh, you know, I know that my wife invited you, and I don't mean to be rude, but, uh...

Barb: Oh, no, no, you're always very polite, even when you're lying through those pearly whites of yours.

Abe: You know, all the people here, they're friends and family of the Brady痴, the child you recently kidnaped. Now, I think surely you can see that your presence here might cause some discomfort.

Barb: Mm-hmm.

Abe: And I'd like to ask you to leave.

Barb: We will.

Abe: All right. Thank you. I appreciate it.

Barb: Got it.

Glen: Well, good. So we can finally get out of here?

Barb: Yeah. We will. After we get rich.

John: Well, Lexie's making me as nervous as Hope -- always appearing and disappearing, inviting random lowlife kidnappers to this lousy party.

Marlena: [Gasps] John!

John: I don't care who hears me.

John: I wonder what the hell is going on inside that head of hers right now.

Belle: Hi.

Marlena: Honey.

Belle: What's wrong?

Marlena: Nothing's wrong. We're having a nice time, same as you are.

Belle: You know what? I haven't danced with dad yet. Dad?

John: Yeah, yeah, we'll definitely have to do that sometime, sweetheart.

Bo: What is it?

Hope: Bo, it was -- it was like d駛 vu, except I know I was never there.

Bo: Where?

Hope: We were dancing, and all of a sudden we were in this huge ballroom, and my hair was up and I was wearing this beautiful white gown that was trimmed in black velvet, and I had these -- my dad was there, and Julie --

Bo: Oh, my God.

Hope: What?

Bo: It did happen. You were there, Hope, only you thought you were Gina at the time.

Hope: Oh, my God.

Bo: That's it, I'm getting you the hell out of here right now. Come on.

Hope: No, Bo, I am fine.

Rolf: Alexandra! Alexandra! Hope is leaving!

Lexie: What?

Rolf: Hope is getting away! Stop her!

Colin: Jennifer...

Elizabeth: There you are, darling. You're missing all the fun. Oh, look, the fun's coming to us.

Maggie: Well, Jennifer's not in here, and she's not outside.

Shawn-D: Wait. Did someone say cake?

Abe: Yeah, I said cake.

Belle: How could you eat another thing?

Shawn-D: It's my mother's party.

Abe: What do you know? Lexie tells me to round everybody up, and then she disappears. Shawn, have you seen your parents lately?

Shawn-D: No, not for a while. But the last time I did see them, they didn't look like they wanted to be bothered.

Abe: I see.

John: [Blows] Disappeared.

[Alarm wailing]

[Alarm continues]

Brady: Hey, you think somebody else crashed the party?

Bart: Good plan, Rolfsky. Bo's a cop. Now he'll have to stay and investigate the alarm, and Hope will be stuck here.

Rolf: I didn't set the alarm, and Bo won't care. There are 15 security guards, as well as the Police Commander. No, Alexandra has got to convince Hope to stay, and she better figure out what is going on here, or I will take over completely.
