Brady: Finally. I thought you were going to sleep the day away.

Belle: Good morning to you, too.

Brady: So that was some night last night, huh?

Belle: I was hoping it was all a bad dream, but I guess not, huh?

Brady: No, unfortunately, it was all too real.

Belle: Especially for Chloe. Did you find her last night? Did you talk to her? Brady, what happened? [Knock on door]

Philip: Dr. Wesley?

Craig: What the hell are you doing here?

Philip: Hey, I don't blame you for being mad at me, but I have to talk to you about Chloe, about what happened at the dance.

Mimi: My fingerprints?

Roman: Yeah, congratulations, Mimi. You heard me right. We got your fingerprints all over those slides, and the nude web site of Chloe is registered in your name.

Mimi: But I didn't -- I didn't -- oh, my God! I was totally set up... By her! She's the one! She did this to me! [Doorbell rings]

Nancy: Coming! Mickey, thank you so much for coming so quickly.

Mickey: Well, you sounded a bit upset on the phone.

Nancy: I have been a wreck. Can't sleep, can't sit still.

Mickey: Yeah, well, that was a terrible thing to happen to your daughter, and you're wise to examine your legal options.

Nancy: Thank you. I-I just want to spare her any more pain.

Chloe: Too late.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Belle: Well, Brady, did you talk to her last night?

Brady: Yeah, yeah. I went over to her house.

Belle: Okay. How is she?

Brady: She was typical Chloe.

Belle: You mean no reaction.

Brady: No, not really, at least not a visible one, but you know Chloe -- there's always something going on beneath the surface.

Belle: Did you convince her you had nothing to do with it?

Brady: Mm-hmm, yeah. Then she admitted that Philip dumped her. I guess right after everything hit the fan, he accused her, then turned on her.

Belle: Philip was at the pub last night. The moment he realized what he had done, Brady, it was so awful. It's like it hit him how wrong he was about her and that he probably lost her forever.

Philip: I'm not here to cause problems, Dr. Wesley. I came here because you helped me once when you believed that I didn't rape Chloe, and I need you to help me now. I screwed up big time. I mean, my jealousy took over my head at the dance. I can't tell you what it was like to see Chloe up on that screen, naked. Something just exploded in my head. All I could think about was Chloe said she had, like, some kind of secretive plan, you know? And she had this thing to do to make money. I don't know. I mean, I guess when I just saw that display, I jumped to the wrong conclusion. No, I did more than that. I hurt her.

Craig: Mm-hmm.

Philip: Checked out on her when she needed me most. Dr. Wesley, I know what I did was terrible. If I could take it back, I would, but I can't, can I? So somehow I have to live with it and deal with it, too.

Craig: Well, Philip, you've, uh, you've certainly said all the right things. It's a good start.

Philip: No, that's not what I was trying to do. I just -- I just want you to help me. Will you?

Nancy: Sweetheart, I'm sorry. I thought you'd gone.

Chloe: I know.

Nancy: I promised I wouldn't do anything without your permission, and I won't. I just -- I just wanted to explore what the legal aspects might be about what happened to you, I mean, to find out what our options might be.

Mickey: Chloe, what those kids did to you was not only terribly wrong, it's a serious crime. I'm hoping that you'll allow us to pursue this.

Chloe: Well, there's no time like the present. Come, tell me what you have in mind.

Jan: What is she talking about? I didn't do anything. I don't even know why I'm here.

Cameron: Why was my client summoned for questioning? There's no evidence linking her to any web site or to any of the pictures of miss lane that were apparently shown at the Salem High dance.

Jan: Yeah, there's no proof, and I didn't do anything, and I wouldn't know anything about any of this.

Mimi: Oh, the hell you don't! I'm telling you, she set it up so I'd take the fall, but the truth is, we both did it, and we're both guilty!

Jan: Shut up, what you're talking about.

Mimi: Trust me, Jan. I am not taking the blame for this alone.

Jan: Stupid loser. I should have known better than to be friends with you.

Shayna: Scott, Cameron, I think you can see we have a case here, on the table.

Roman: I think that's a damn good idea. Do you girls have any idea what serious time you're facing here?

Scott: Can we skip the usual intimidation tactics. The girls took a secret tape of someone, posted it on the internet without her knowledge or consent, and as if that wasn't bad enough, she's a minor.

Roman: And you did it for money. Do you know how many laws you've violated? Do you have a clue as to what kind of trouble you're in? More than you ever dreamed. Believe me, more than you ever dreamed. .

Lexie: Eliana, would you put Isaac down for his nap, please?

Eliana: Yes, ma'am.

Lexie: Thank you. You'll need this. Thanks.

Eliana: Come on. That's it.

Lexie: Abe, honey, what's wrong?

Abe: I can't live like this -- a staff, servants. I'm a police officer. I don't make that kind of money.

Lexie: Honey, it's okay. My father's taken care of everything.

Abe: And that's supposed to make it all right?

Lexie: Abe, come on. Please, you promised me that you would do this for Isaac's sake. Honey, he'll be safe and protected here.

Abe: I can protect Isaac, damn it.

Lexie: Yes, i know, I know you can, and please don't take this as an insult, okay? It's not. I know that you are strong and smart and more than capable of taking care of our family, but the circumstances here are unusual, honey, which is why I'll feel much safer here.

Abe: [Groans]

Lexie: Abe, honey, you say you love me, so let's go inside and discuss this, okay? Honey, come on. You can't insult the staff on our first day here.

Abe: It may be our last. That's a positive thought.

Lexie: Honey, honey, please. Please.

Abe: All right, okay, okay.

Lexie: Okay.

Bart: Hey, Chief, no need to worry about the expense. Like your wife said, it's all been taken care of.

Abe: You were listening to us?

Rolf: Uh, no, no, no, no! Of course not. Bart is just assuming that Lexie told you, and we understand perfectly how you must feel. Well, if I might introduce myself. I am Rolf, the Major-Domo of this estate. This is our chef, Cookie, and this is Bartleby, the butler, chauffeur, assistant chief of protocol, and general factotum.

Bart: General what?

Lexie: Well, everyone, please, just go about.

Rolf: Cookie. Please.

Abe: How can you stand this? Living here is bad enough with just the three of us, but surrounded by Stefano's goons? No way, no way! I'm taking you and Isaac, and we are getting out of here right now. Let's go.

Chloe: No. I don't want their money. I want to see them punished and then some.

Philip: First off, I need to know that Chloe's doing okay. I want to make sure that she can get on with her life, no matter how disappointed she is in me. I can't live with what Iíve done unless I know she's going to be okay.

Craig: Well, I-I hear what you're saying, Philip, but you're telling the wrong person. You need to tell Chloe. She's the one who needs to hear all this.

Philip: You think she would talk to me?

Craig: No, no, not right now. No, this is something that you're going to have to just let up on. You can't rush something like this, and you're going to have to wait until she has some time to heal.

Philip: Yeah.

Craig: Mm-hmm.

Philip: Yeah, I'm sure you're right. So, I mean, for now could you at least tell her what I said, that I made the biggest mistake of my life?

Craig: I think that has to come from you, young man, and I think you're just going to have to wait until Chloe's ready to see you.

Philip: Well, maybe not. I just thought of something. Hey, thanks, Dr. Wesley. You've been a big help.

Belle: You should have seen Philip's face when he found out it was Jan and Mimi, that they were the ones behind it all.

Brady: Whoa, whoa, Belle, you expect me to feel sorry for Philip? He should have known from the very beginning that Chloe had nothing to do with it.

Belle: He betrayed her, and knowing Chloe, she's not going to get over it. But who could blame her? I mean, if a guy treated me like that, I would probably feel the same.

Brady: So, tell me, what would you do if Philip came crawling back on his knees, begging for forgiveness?

Belle: I guess if he proved that he was really sorry -- I don't know. I know how Philip is about Chloe, and he's going to learn from this and try and get her trust back. Brady, he loves her.

Brady: Hmm. Yes, but the real question remains -- does Chloe love him?

Abe: You're really into being Lady of The Manor, aren't you? I mean, you just had Stefano's lackeys jumping there. So, gee, maybe you'd like me to join the staff, too.

Lexie: Oh, Abe. Hey, take it easy, okay?

Abe: This is not going to happen, Lexie. I'm not doing this.

Lexie: Honey, would you just listen to me?

Abe: This is insane.

Lexie: Abe, please! Honey, we came so close to losing our son. That's what this house and the staff are all about -- protection.

Abe: From what?

Lexie: Well, suppose another one of Marlo's lovers, many lovers, shows up in Salem, claiming his son? This house gives us a security that we need, Abe. Can't you see that? You know, if your Salem police department hadn't chased my father out of town, we wouldn't be here.

Abe: You know, my police department was just doing its job. Your father's a sociopath...

Lexie: Oh, please.

Abe: And if we could get the proof we need, we could lock him up for life.

Lexie: Okay, look, I don't want to have this conversation.

Abe: Oh, good. Okay, then let's talk about going home, huh?

Lexie: I told you we will when my father returns, but until then can we just make the best of it? Honey, listen, if I can't have my father here to help protect me, can you at least

allow me to have his house?

Abe: Lex, your father's the sworn enemy of the Brady's and the Horton's, people who are like family to me. Now, don't you understand -- has it even occurred to you that I might be betraying them by living here?

Lexie: Okay, so you'll just explain the situation to them, Abe. You'll tell them that it's about the baby. Or blame it on me if you have to. Tell them the truth -- that I have nothing but love and admiration for my father. He gave us a beautiful little boy, and for that, I am eternally grateful to him, as I am to you. You are such a wonderful husband, Abe. You're such a caring, loving, loyal man. Please -- please do this for me. Ple--please don't make me live in fear, Abe. Please. I-I couldn't take it. [Crying]

Abe: Look, um, if I hadn't -- if I hadn't slept next to you all those nights and watched you toss and turn and have nightmares about losing Isaac... I wouldn't agree to do this, but if it'll bring you peace, I'll put up with it...For now.

Lexie: Okay. Thank you. Thank you. I love you so much.

Abe: I love you. Look, sweetheart, look, I, uh, I got to go, okay?

Lexie: Okay.

Abe: I need to, uh, get some more of my things and check in at work, and I'll let you and Isaac settle in.

Lexie: Okay.

Abe: I'll see you later.

Lexie: Okay, bye. Bye.

Glen: Barb, I'm sure Marlo wasn't with anyone else right around the time she got pregnant.

Barb: Here we go again. You know, I hate to speak ill of the dead, but that slut was messing around on you. How else do you explain those D.N.A. test results?

Glen: I can't, but how do you explain this? The baby that Lexie has is so healthy, and the one that we had...

Barb: With us was so sick.

Glen: Exactly. Is that weird or what?

Barb: I don't know.

Glen: Barb, did you ever get that D.N.A. test we had done on J.T. back?

Barb: Save this one.

Barb: Who cares what that test said? Can't we just forget about it?

Glen: Hey.

Barb: Huh?

Glen: Did you get those test results or not?

Roman: All right, what's up?

Cameron: A deal.

Shayna: I'm not so sure we're into making deals today.

Jan: We're sorry. I mean, we're just kids. I didn't know we were doing anything wrong. You can't send us to jail.

Shayna: Pardon my skepticism, but I have a feeling you knew exactly what you were doing, right down to how much money you'd make. And, Mimi, you did, too.

Mimi: Fine. Lock me up. My life is ruined anyway. I was a joke before this happened, and I'm an even bigger joke now, so just put the cuffs on and take me away.

Scott: Ms. Larson, can we kick this around in private?

Shayna: Let's go to my office. Roman, you stay with Thelma and Louise here.

Roman: What the hell were you two thinking when you did this?

Mimi: I guess we weren't thinking at all.

Roman: You got that right.

Jan: Can't you help us? Can't you do something?

Roman: It's not my call. It's up to Ms. Larson, and believe me, she's as tough as they come. You two aren't going to get out of this with just a slap on the wrist, so you better think about it. Maybe even pray a little bit while you're at it.

Belle: So you don't think Chloe loves Philip, that she ever loved him?

Brady: Well, I've never really been sure that she's felt for him the kind of love that she's capable of.

Belle: Brady, how do you know what Chloe's capable of?

Brady: Well, I know that Chloe has never been as passionate about Philip as she is about her music. When it comes to Chloe, she's very dogmatic when it comes to trust, faith, and justice in the relationship, which is why she'll never forgive Philip for what he did.

Belle: You know, you talk about Chloe not being able to forgive the same way you speak about your situation with my mom. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I believe you and Chloe have a lot in common.

Nancy: Chloe, please keep an open mind about this civil suit. Those -- those two brats, they made money off you, didn't they, off those horrible pictures that they took?

Mickey: But, for the record, that web site has been closed down. My -- my assistant is in the process of investigating exactly how much money was made.

Chloe: I told you, I don't care about the money. You can give it to charity for all I care. I just want justice, that's all. I want Jan and Mimi to pay. I want to see them punished.

[Doorbell rings]

Nancy: I'll get it. I'll see that no one bothers you.

Nancy: Yes?

Man: Delivery for Miss Chloe Lane.

Nancy: I'll take it.

Man: I've been instructed to deliver this to her personally.

Nancy: I said I'll take it.

Nancy: This was just delivered for you.

Chloe: For me?

Rolf: Your husband left. Madam. Quel dommage. I was hoping to speak to you both.

Lexie: You know, Rolf, uh, you look very familiar to me.

Rolf: I'm afraid I've not had the pleasure of meeting you before the other day. I wanted to remind you that I am privy to all your father's secrets. I know all about the baby situation, but not to worry. I am the soul of discretion. Your father trusts me, and you can, too.

Lexie: Look, I don't mean to insult you, but I feel very uncomfortable discussing this with you.

Rolf: As you wish. I'm only here to help.

Lexie: Help.

Rolf: As I have helped your father in the past with difficult situations, explosive life-and-death situations, one might say. Whatever situation might arise,

Lexie: I see. I appreciate that.

Rolf: The only thing we're not sure of is if Glen had little J.T. Brady's D.N.A. tested while he and his wife were on the run.

Lexie: I just pray to God that he hasn't. If he has, then he knows that J.T. is his son and Marlo's.

Rolf: Mm. Which could precipitate the revelation that little Isaac is actually Hope's baby.

Lexie: That must never happen.

Rolf: Exactly, which is why we're here and which is why I am here to help you and which coseur, is why your husband must be kept in the dark.

Lexie: Look, Rolf, I am very uncomfortable with the fact that you, a total stranger, know so much about me and my family.

Rolf: In time you will be glad that I do. You need an ally. I would die for your father and I would do the same for you.

Lexie: Well, um, let's hope it never comes to that, but, um,ou, Rolf. Alexandra.

Lexie: Well, um, don't worry about my husband. I'll handle him.

Rolf: I'll have your bags taken up to your room.

Jan: Idiot. Why didn't you keep your big mouth shut?

Mimi: Me? You're the one who's responsible for this whole damn thing. I warned you. I told you we were in for trouble, but you wouldn't listen. You laughed at me for worrying. You stood there and made fun of me for even thinking that this could blow up in our faces, which it has, in case you haven't noticed.

Jan: Would you stop yelling? Look, I had no idea this would be this big, that it'd piss off this many people.

Mimi: No? Well, is that supposed to make it all right -- that you had no idea? Listen, I don't want to hear what you expected and didn't expect. I want you to tell me what we are going to do now.

Jan: I don't know! I'm not sure.

Mimi: Well, I don't know, either, Jan, but I am praying our lawyers can come up with a way to keep us out of jail.

Belle: No, seriously, Brady, are you going to level with me about Chloe?

Brady: Why, you think Chloe and I are alike?

Belle: Yeah, I-I do.

Brady: And what gives you that idea? What did she say about me? Did Chloe say that we were alike?

Belle: No, not that I can remember. No. No, she didn't, but I do find it very interesting you're so curious.

Brady: You just listen to me. I'm not some scrawny high school kid getting ready to shave. This is serious.

Belle: What is?

Brady: My concern for Chloe, it's a -- it's a mature concern.

Belle: Oh, right, a mature concern. Okay. Just how mature, Brady? What's going on between the two of you?

Brady: I-I just think that she has a lot of potential, that's all. To be a good singer, I mean. She just hasn't connected with her soul yet.

Belle: And you're going to be the one to connect her.

Brady: All right, I know where you're going with this, and you can just stop. I've -- I've given her my opinions, and Iíve told her what I think she needs to do, and she can take my advice or not. I really don't care. I've got better things to do with my life than worry about Chloe lane.

Belle: Mm-hmm.

Chloe: "Please play this tape and I beg you, listen to the whole thing." It's not signed.

Philip: I'm sure now you see who this is from you want to bust your TV screen and rip the tape out, but please don't, okay? Please listen to me. [Sighs] Anyway, here goes. Let me just say that first of all I'm not the person you are. I guess that's pretty obvious now -- especially now. But I admire you so much. I have since the first time we went out a year ago. My admiration and love for you got me to the point where I was becoming possessive, you know? And I realize that. But I had never felt this way about anyone in the world. I mean, I love my parents, sure, but the love I had for you, it was just something new and something that I don't really even understand all that well. I mean, now I know Iíve totally screwed up, and every time that I -- every time I think I called you that name -- ghoul girl -- that I could have actually thought that you set up that web site, makes me sick. I'm sure by now you've realized that you're going to be better off without me, but there is one thing that I want to ask you, and that is that if you'll just let me say hello to you, you know, when I run into you at Salem Place or at Brady Pub or wherever. You know, and every time that I say hello, maybe you'll realize that it -- that means how sorry I am. But...I don't know. I just want to end this by saying that you've taught me so much about what matters in life and what's important, and I guess, you know, I'm so spoiled, being a rich kid and all and having everything given to me, that it'll probably take me a century to absorb it all, but even so, I'm so happy that I met someone like you.

Glen: Answer me, Barb. Did you get the D.N.A. results back from that other baby? You know, J.T., the one who was sick?

Barb: No. Look, I'm going to go take a shower, okay?

Glen: Wait. I --

Barb: [Thinking] I shouldn't have thrown that test away. I should have tan a look at it. Oh, my God. Glen said it and it's true. Something's just not right.

Bart: Very smooth, Rolfie.

Rolf: Keep your voice down and keep an eye out for her at all times. We don't want her to overhear anything she shouldn't.

Bart: Sorry. Got it. What's the plan?

Rolf: The plan is to keep her from finding out that Stefano had the babies switched and why.

Bart: But she already knows John's the father. Sooner or later she's going to put everything together, or else John will.

Rolf: Not if he's distracted by hope when she remembers the love they shared together when she was Gina.

Bart: Boy, if that happens, I see John kissing Marlena goodbye.

Rolf: Then you will hear the sound of Stefano's nails as he seals the Brady family coffin and Stefano himself shouting from Bo's roof, "cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war."

Lexie: Oh, thank you, Eliana. Is the baby asleep?

Eliana: Oh, like an angel.

Lexie: Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Yes, I could get used to this. My father's taste is a little baroque for me, but with a few changes, I could call this place home.

Scott: Look, it was a prank. There's no need to throw the book at them.

Shayna: I'm going to make an example of those kids. We've got to send a message to teens that their youth does not absolve them of responsibility.

Cameron: So you're saying you're going for the max with them?

Shayna: Damn right.

Mimi: I'm scared, Jan.

Jan: Yeah. Me too.

Brady: Chloe's problems are not my problems. I can't worry about her anymore.

Belle: I don't see you worrying much about anything lately, but you sure are giving a lot of people advice about what they should do with their lives. But what are you going to do with yours?

Brady: Actually, I've given my future a lot of thought lately, and yours.

Belle: Really?

Brady: Mm-hmm. So let's start with yours. What are your plans this summer, Belle?

Belle: Well, I decided that I need to change. Mr. Woods was right. We need to take responsibility and do the right thing. He's got this environmental expedition planned this

Brady: Oh, yeah, that "survivor" thing for kids, right?

Belle: No, no, it's really educational. Besides, wouldn't it be great to learn about our environment while doing something to help it?

Brady: Mm-hmm. Let me ask you something. Would Shawn Brady happen to be there, by any chance? I think love is in the air, Belle. But not for good ol' uncle Phil. Chloe's going to drop him like a bad habit.

Philip: So maybe you can find something from the past year that we've spent together that would, like, override what I did and the awful things that I thought, and I hope you realize that what I felt for you was real. I did love you. I do love you. And, you know, if there's anything that I can ever do for you, just help you with, you know.

Chloe: Oh, hey. I never told Philip that I loved him, so why do I miss him so much already, even after what he did? I know you loved me, Philip. I felt it.
