Liam: A little girl?
Steffy: Are you happy our baby's a girl?
Liam: Yeah, I was hoping she would be.
Liam: It's just, uh... it's kind of amazing, to see her.
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, we made her. Together. She was created out of love. Please don't ever forget that, how much we care about each other. She's what matters. Our daughter. I may not deserve your forgiveness, but she does. So if you could just try to find it in you to forgive me... do it for our little girl.
Hope: You wanted to see me?
Ridge: Yeah, come on in. Couple of things. First off, I want to thank you.
Hope: For what?
Ridge: For supporting steffy. I know you care about liam, so this can't be easy for you.
Hope: [ Sighs ] Look, I still don't understand how she did what she did. I don't support it, but, you know, they're married. They have a child on the way, and right now, that is all that matters.
Ridge: I'm glad you see it that way.
Hope: I mean, for me, it's the only way to look at it, but I wish I could say the same for liam. He's still struggling.
Ridge: He showed up for the ultrasound.
Hope: Yeah, I know. It seems like a good sign.
Katie: [ Sighs ]
Thorne: Just forget about wyatt. Think about moving on.
Katie: I can'T. I can't, I can'T. I can't do this.
Ridge: I appreciate your willingness to support steffy, regardless of how you feel about what happened.
Hope: Look, I'm rooting for her and liam, I truly am, you know? This is an exciting time in their life, and I want them to be able to enjoy it, to be happy, and just leave everything else in the past.
Ridge: You are wise beyond your years.
Hope: [ Chuckles ] Well, it doesn't always seem that way.
Ridge: Well, it is. You're a remarkable young woman.
Ridge: And that brings me to the second thing I wanted to talk to you about. How would you like to bring hope for the future back to life?
Hope: What -- you said the numbers were...
Ridge: Well, I ran the numbers again, and they make sense, and I have no doubt you'll make it a success once again.
Hope: Are you serious?
Ridge: What do you say?
Hope: I say yes! Yes! Thank you. Thank you so much, ridge. I -- oh, my gosh, this is such big news! Thank you.
Steffy: I don't want to ruin this moment for you. I wish things were different. I hate this tension between us. Liam, I hate what I did. I hate that I hurt you, that I might have already ruined our family. I hurt our little girl before she even gets here.
Liam: Steffy, you can'T... you can't think that way. We're gonna do whatever it takes, and we'll just -- we'll find a way not to let this affect her life, that's all.
Steffy: But it would, liam. We both know that it would. We can change that. It doesn't have to be this way. If you just find it within yourself to move forward. Let us be a family for our little girl.
Katie: I swore I wasn't gonna do this today.
Thorne: What, kiss some random guy on the couch?
Katie: No, kiss you on my couch.
Thorne: Why do I get singled out?
Katie: You know what I mean.
Thorne: No, I don'T.
Thorne: Okay. All right, all right. We'll slow things down a bit. It'll give us both something to look forward to, I guess.
Katie: [ Chuckles ] Okay, thank you.
Katie: I'm glad we're on the same page, I mean...
[ Sighs ] I'm just not ready. After wyatt ended our relationship, or whatever that was.
Thorne: I understand.
[ Cellphone chimes ] Oh!
Thorne: Ridge. Wants me to come see him at the office.
Katie: Well, then, you should go.
Thorne: You're kicking me out?
Katie: Yep. Yep, I am.
Thorne: Okay. All right. Listen, don't, uh, think about that guy while I'm gone, okay? You may have noticed that I am more than willing to help you forget about him.
Katie: Yeah, I'll, um... I'll make a mental note of that.
Thorne: Okay, you do that. See ya.
I'd still like you to continue with the folic acid.
Steffy: Oh, yes, I'm taking the prenatals dr. Campbell prescribed.
Okay, excellent. Just make the prenatals have dha.
Steffy: Okay, yeah.
Liam: Yeah, so I was reading up on that. That's supposed to be good for brain development?
I'm glad to see you so involved. As the baby's father and steffy's husband, it's important that you do your part. She needs your help to get through this pregnancy. Taking long walks together, making nutritious meals. Just treating steffy with extra-special care. I'm sure I don't have to remind you. I can tell you've been a wonderful partner so far. Steffy is doing great, and your baby is healthy and developing right on track.
Steffy: That is great news. I really appreciate you fitting us in today.
Oh, it's my pleasure. Congratulations again on your baby girl.
Liam: Thank you, doctor.
Steffy: Thank you. Thank you so much. I am just so happy our baby's doing so well.
Liam: Yeah, it's a relief.
Steffy: I swear, I didn't put her up to that. About the baby needing you. But it's true. I do, too. We both do, liam.
Hope: [ Sighs ] Can you tell I'm excited?
Ridge: I believe in you. I know you're gonna make it work.
Hope: I hope so.
Ridge: There is one caveat.
Ridge: I'm gonna guide you, I'm gonna support you any way i can, but I can't help you creatively. I'm too busy.
Hope: No worries, you know, I totally understand, I can put together my own design team...
Ridge: I've thought about all that already.
Thorne: Hey. Got your text. What's up?
Ridge: I want to run something past you.
Ridge: You came back to L.A. Because you want to be part of the creative team. So I looked at your designs again, and they're... they're pretty good. No, they're not. They're better than good. They're really good. You got natural talent. And that's why that aly line worked in europe the way it did.
Thorne: Oh, boy, that was hard for you to say, wasn't it?
Ridge: You have no idea.
Thorne: Thank you.
Ridge: Anyway, hope came back here because she wants to bring her hope for the future line back to life. Unfortunately, our best-looking, greatest designer is busy with couture, so I thought -- how about this? How about slightly younger, less-experienced designer helping her bring her vision to life?
Thorne: So, let me get this straight. This is your way of asking me to design for forrester creations?
Ridge: I guess it is. What do you think?
Steffy: I'm grateful you came. Means a lot that you made it.
Liam: It was one of those days you don't forget, you know? Seeing our daughter for the first time. And I almost missed it.
Steffy: She's lucky to have you as a father.
Liam: I want you to know that whatever happens... whatever happens, I'll always be there for our daughter.
Steffy: Yeah. We made her, liam. We made her. Our healthy baby. Half you, half me. The best of both of us.
Liam: And I'm completely devoted to her well-being, just so you know. To raising a happy, healthy child.
Steffy: I wouldn't doubt that, not for a second. I can't already see how much she means to you.
Liam: It's weird, it all became... it all became so real today. Just...seeing her inside you, resting peacefully and growing stronger and...
Liam: I know -- I know this hasn't been an easy time for you. It hasn't been easy for me, either, but... I'm also not the one with the blessing and burden of actually carrying the baby, and so I -- I know there's all this extra pressure on you to stay healthy and not be stressed, and I -- I know that's not easy. I know that. I just... I'm really proud of you for doing everything you can to take care of our child.
Steffy: Yeah, I'm, uh... I'm trying. I'm trying my best to give our baby a calm, loving environment, but it's hard being away from you, knowing the pain I caused.
Liam: [ Sighs ]
Steffy: But, liam, I got to ask you. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but before we welcome our little girl into the world, if there's any chance we can be a family again, like we always wanted to be.
Ridge: So, what do you say?
Thorne: It's a definite yes.
Thorne: Thanks for the opportunity.
Hope: This is awesome. Can't wait to work with you, thorne.
Thorne: Can't wait to work with you, boss. Revamping hope for the future is gonna be fun.
Ridge: Glad you're on board.
Hope: Me, too.
Ridge: You're gonna be a great team.
Hope: I mean, there are so many causes and movements we can tap into. I can't wait to get started.
Ridge: Then don't wait. Go!
Hope: Thank you again, ridge. I mean, this means more than you know. And, thorne, I will call you later with initial concepts, and then we can brainstorm from there?
Thorne: Sounds good.
Hope: Okay. I'll be back.
Ridge: Ah, to be young and full of enthusiasm.
Thorne: She's excited. So am I.
Ridge: Good. Didn't know if you were gonna be into it.
Thorne: Timing couldn't be better. You know, when I came back from paris, I was proud of what I'd done. I was eager to make an impact here at the family company. Believe it or not, I actually wanted to get along with you.
Ridge: Really? Had a strange way of showing it.
Thorne: Yeah. Okay, I admit, I had a little chip on my shoulder. I stirred up some trouble. But then you asked me to be your best man.
Ridge: And you accepted.
Thorne: Now you're giving me the opportunity to design. Maybe you're not so bad after all.
Ridge: I'm glad you finally realized what a great guy I am.
Thorne: [ Laughs ] Yeah, okay, I guess you're kind of a decent guy.
Ridge: Thank you. Thank you for saying that. I got to take some responsibility. When you came back from europe, I could have handled things better, but I didn't want to. So I'm sorry.
Thorne: I appreciate that.
Ridge: I don't want to fight with you.
Thorne: Yeah, well, we're brothers. It's what we do, right?
Ridge: I guess so. But I appreciate you standing up for me. And there's something that i think you should have.
Thorne: Oh, you got me a gift?
Thorne: Wow. Mom and dad's martini shaker. Has a lot of memories.
Ridge: A lot of martinis.
Thorne: Yeah. Mom and dad sure knew how to have a good time, didn't they?
Ridge: Just a little reminder not to take life so seriously.
Thorne: You know, I think mom would really appreciate us getting along.
Ridge: I'm sure she's taking full credit as we speak.
Thorne: Yeah, I'm sure she is.
Ridge: Read the card! Man, what's wrong with you?
Thorne: You know I never read the card. Sorry. Okay. "Dear big brother, use this in good health. Cheers, ridge." "Big brother," huh?
Ridge: Well, you've outgrown me by an inch or two. I thought it made sense.
Thorne: How about you just call me brother?
Ridge: Okay. Glad you're home, brother.
Thorne: I'm glad to be here.
Liam: [ Sighs ] So, I suppose we should get going.
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah. Dr. Phillips probably needs the room for another patient. I just don't want to leave.
Liam: Yeah, I know.
Steffy: Thank you for being here today. Sharing this moment with me. It means everything. Why don't you take this with you? I have one for myself, plus, i have her with me all the t time, and you could have this with you all the time.
Liam: Uh, yeah. Yeah, I will.
Steffy: I believe in us, liam. The future we want for our daughter. We've been through so much together. We can overcome this. We can be happy. We can make this work. And we can give our daughter the absolute best start in life. So take your time. Just know I'm thinking about you. And I'm loving you more than i ever have. Just promise me you'll think about what I said. Think about our daughter. The life we want to give her, the family she deserves.
Liam: You know that's -- you know that's all I think about, right? Since the moment I found out you were pregnant, I wake up every day and I think about that. I want to forgive you, steffy. I wish I could forgive you, but there are some things...
Steffy: Liam, I wish I didn't do it.
Liam: I wish that night never happened. That's what I'm saying.
Steffy: So do I. I wish that more than anything. Liam, I put you a terrible position, I made it hard for you to even look at me.
Liam: [ Sighs ] That's the thing. I believe in forgiveness. I believe in second chances. And I'm -- I'm doing my best, you know? I'm doing my best, and it's just -- it's still...
[ Sighs ] It's in my head, and it hurts so much, and I can't -- I can't get over it. Not yet.
Steffy: I understand. But you said "not yet."
Liam: No, I don't -- I don't think that's how you should interpret --
Steffy: No, you said it. That means there's still a chance whether you realize it or not. The door's still open, even if it's just a tiny bit. I choose to hold onto that. I choose to have faith. I got to, I have to. For us, our baby, our future. Liam, I love you. And I always will.
