Episode # 7705 ~ Saul and Darlita choose a Halloween costume for Sally, and it brings to life her worst fear; Liam offers Bill several scenarios of compromise in order to avoid further conflict.

Provided By Suzanne

Bill: I want the three of us working side by side -- the spencer men bringing this property to life!

Liam: On spectra property?

Bill: It's -- it's not spectra property. I explained to you over and over again why it is not spectra property. Do you want me to get justin to explain all the legalities to you again?

Liam: No.

Bill: That the bottom line... is that spencer publications owns the building and the property that sally and her band of bozos -- not "bozos." That was disrespectful. That sally and company occupy.

Wyatt: Liam, dad already offered to relocate sally elsewhere. Like, this doesn't have to be the end of spectra fashions.

Bill: No, exactly! Sally's the comeback kid! She's gonna come back from this, too. But whether she does or she doesn't, that tower, sky, is going to be built on spectra property.

Wyatt: Yeah. You got to face it, bro. You either got to accept this or...

Liam: Or what, guys?

Sally: Oh, great.

Darlita: Trick...

Saul: Or treat! So...what do you think of the costumes?

Darlita: I already told you i like them.

Saul: No, no, not -- sally. What do you think?

Sally: You guys are adorable! Where did you get these amazing costumes?

Saul: Those new sewers you hired.

Darlita: Yeah. They whipped them up in no time.

Saul: Mm-hmm.

Darlita: I just wanted to try it on before the party at bikini tonight.

Saul: Now, we know there's a lot more work to do, but, uh, they made you one, too.

Sally: A costume? Oh, I'm almost afraid to ask.

Darlita: Close your eyes.

Sally: [ Inhales deeply ] I do not have time for this!

Darlita: This won't take long. Take off your blouse.

Sally: What?

Darlita: Saul, turn around.

Saul: Yeah.

Darlita: Okay, put this on.

Sally: [ Sighs ] Ugh.

Darlita: Put this on. Saul, help me. So...who's the scariest brunette you know?

Sally: Easy. Princess steffy on a tear.

Saul: Oh, bingo!

Sally: Wait. Hold on. You want me to go as steffy forrester for halloween?

Saul: Almost done.

Darlita: One last thing.

Saul: Okay. Now...open.

Darlita: Take a look.

Steffy: Well, well! Aren't you all festive?

Sally: Well, look who it is. From one princess to another, happy halloween.

Steffy: I got to admit, you two look good.

Darlita: Thanks!

Steffy: Might be your best work from spectra I've seen.

Sally: Cute. We were just trying things on. Why don't you and saul get back to work so we can get to that party later?

Darlita: Right.

Sally: [ Sighs ]

Steffy: I had, uh, a quick tour of your building. Made some progress since the last time I was here.

Sally: Didn't think we could pull it off, did you, princess?

Steffy: That still remains to be seen. A fashion house is more than just new drywall and electrical.

Sally: True, yes. It's sewers and designs, and we have got 12 of them -- sewers, that is. I hired the last one today.

Steffy: Don't you think that's a little premature?

Sally: We're putting out a comeback collection. We need all hands on deck.

Steffy: I think what you need is inspiring designs. What's this? Is that the latest?

Sally: No, no, no. No. That is top-secret. We wouldn't want forrester stealing for spectra.

Steffy: [ Laughs sarcastically ] So, this relaunch -- when is it happening?

Sally: I'm not sure. But we're moving a lot further along than I expected.

Steffy: Yeah, I see, with my husband's help.

Sally: [ Sighs ] Yes, your sainted husband. We wouldn't even be anywhere if it wasn't for him.

Steffy: Well, he seems to think you're worth it.

Sally: Yeah, well, it's more than just that. I mean, he's righting a wrong, and I really admire him for that.

Steffy: A wrong? What are you talking about?

Sally: Bill spencer, the fire. He wants this place burned to the ground, never to rise again. But liam is your husband, so you already knew that, right?

Liam: That kind of sounds like a threat.

Bill: No. No, no, no. There's -- there's no threats. Nobody's threatening anyone. We are family. And we might have our differences, but I am open to compromise.

Liam: Well...[Scoffs] That's great. I applaud you for that. But relocating spectra is not as simple as picking up a suitcase and moving into the other room. I mean, sally is in the middle of organizing her comeback show. A relocation at this point would just be another huge disruption for her.

Wyatt: Liam, come on! Just why -- [ Scoffs ] Work with dad a little here.

Liam: I am working with him! You know who else is? Sally, 'cause she's planning on paying back every cent. You know what that means. That means the property is an investment. It's not a gift. It's not a gift. We can even go into business with the spectras if we want.

Bill: Whoa, whoa, liam! What are you talking about?! Come on!

Liam: Dad, there are so many options on the table. Who are you kidding? But that building coming down is not one of them.

Steffy: Let me get this straight. You've known about bill's involvement with the fire, and you kept it to yourself?

Sally: Ever since I sort of stumbled onto the truth, yeah.

Steffy: How do you sort of stumble upon something like that?

Sally: The point is it was important to liam for me not to say anything 'cause he didn't want his father going to jail for arson.

Steffy: Well, why would he confirm it with you in the first place?

Sally: I'm sure he didn't want to, okay? But, like I said --

Steffy: Oh, you just, what, ingeniously put it together? 'Cause liam wouldn't lie -- obviously not to you.

Sally: Not to anyone. Okay? Liam is the most honest man that I've ever met.

Steffy: [ Scoffs softly ]

Sally: Anyway... I heard that his dad is back at spencer.

Steffy: Oh, let me guess. Let me guess. You heard it from my husband. Of course you did, given all the time you've been spending with him recently.

Sally: Do you have a problem with that?

Steffy: I have a problem with you, the woman who has stolen from my family and plays games to get ahead.

Sally: Oh, gee, princess. You sound just like your father-in-law.

Steffy: I don't condone what he's done. It was wrong. But so much of what you've done since you've come to L.A. Was wrong, too.

Sally: Including appreciating your husband for the kind, decent man that he is?

Steffy: Why do you have a picture of my husband on your wall?

Bill: You're talking about how disruptive it would be to relocate sally? Do you have any idea how much time, money, and effort have already gone into the development of that property? I've had to grease the may-- finesse the mayor, the zoning commission, the city council. I got a stack of paperwork this big just on demo alone. You know what it took to get that approved? Sally? Really? She's got to throw three sewing machines and four mannequins in the back of a van, and, "see ya! Bye-bye!"

Liam: I have explained to you why it's more than that.

Bill: And I've explained to you why this is how it's going to be.

Liam: Let me ask you something. That reconciliation that took place between us -- did that actually ever happen? Did you actually mean any of the stuff you said to me?

Bill: You know I did!

Liam: No. No, I don'T. I really don't -- not anymore. If you can't put yourself in sally's shoes for even one second -- here's what's happening, okay? You're using power and money and influence against somebody who has basically no defense, and you think that's totally fine? I mean, you're telling me you want to be this more compassionate person. Well [Scoffs]...

Bill: I do. But that doesn't mean that sky isn't going up. Look, this is a tremendous undertaking with many moving parts, liam. Sky is no ordinary skyscraper, and I'm not gonna delay getting going on that project one minute longer, and that is non-negotiable.

Liam: So, this is -- this is what learning from me looks like to you? I mean, on paper, we're all running the company equally until the second you get challenged, and then, suddenly, it's non-negotiable because you always have wyatt. Well?

Justin: Uh... sorry. I'll come back.

Liam: No, justin. Come -- say what you got to say.

Justin: I just spoke to the demolition team. Everything's set. You can have spectra flattened whenever you're ready.

Steffy: I asked you a question, sally. What is that doing there?

Sally: My grams did it.

Steffy: Why?

Sally: Because liam saved us and the building. He's like a patron saint around here, so she put it up there out of respect. Look, there's no sense in getting all bent out of shape about it. Grams was just goofing around.

Steffy: Right. I'm sure she was.

Sally: Seriously? Really? You're gonna make a big deal out of this? Because I am telling you, steffy --

Steffy: I am telling you, don't you get any ideas. Liam stood up for you, and it almost cost him his relationship with his father. The only thing that can come between them is you.

Sally: Okay, stop, all right? This is getting ridiculous. I had no intention --

Steffy: You know, I mean it, sally. I really do. You were just a little project to liam. He gave you this building. It's over now. You don't need a savior anymore. You're not the underdog any longer.

Sally: Tell that to your father-in-law. If he could get this building back, spectra would be dust in a nanosecond. Heck, it already would be if liam hadn't come in to rescue us. So excuse me for being grateful, for admiring liam. Look, I already said it once, steffy. You really are a princess. And you are married to an honest-to-goodness prince.

Justin: All the permits are in order. The demo team is prepped. Just waiting on your go-ahead, dollar bill.

Bill: We'll talk later, justin.

Justin: Okay.

Liam: So, you got a demo crew on standby, ready to go? It's like spectra's already rubble to you.

Bill: Dust. However, in the spirit of, uh, cooperation and to show that, uh, I am evolving, in addition to the funds that I have committed to setting aside for sally's relocation, I will send a team over there, and they can help sally pack up all her junk. There. Now, how's that for compromise?

Liam: That's your version of compromise, where you still get everything you want.

Bill: [ Groans ]

Wyatt: Come on, liam. He's trying his best here.

Liam: How is this trying his best? He's not even hearing me.

Bill: I have listened to every word.

Liam: No, there's -- there's a difference between listening and hearing, okay? When I tell you that that building is the heart and soul of spectra fashions, when I tell you that the spirit of sally's great-aunt is living in the walls, does that mean anything to you? No? Nothing?

Bill: It means, uh, that, for the majority of their existence, spectra has been a bottom-feeding rip-off shop.

Liam: Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Sally was changing that. You stopped her. You sabotaged her. And, thankfully, now she's got a new collection. She's got to focus on that. She's got to stay inspired. And that building, which is everything to them, by the way, is the inspiration. Now, you want to take that away? Fine. You want to take that away.

Bill: Wow. You say I'm obsessive? You're irrational! I'm not taking anything away! That building is mine. The property is mine. And if sally is as talented as you contend, she can do her designs and produce her line anywhere. But there is only one place that works for sky, and I picked that site for very specific reasons. Now, I'm sorry, son, but I've compromised. Now you're going to have to compromise, as well.

Steffy: Liam is a prince, sally, but he's a prince to everyone. Look, uh... I know it's been hard for you after the fire. But liam gifted you with this building. He got you back into the game.

Sally: Is that what worries you, princess -- that your husband is aiding and abetting the enemy?

Steffy: Honey, I don't even think you're in my league.

Sally: Oh, gee. Thanks.

Steffy: But that doesn't stop you from wanting what I have.

Sally: A boatload of money and the proper pedigree?

Steffy: Someone special. Someone to make you feel like... anything's possible.

Sally: Anything is possible.

Steffy: No. Some things will never happen. For instance, my husband spending time with you, get spectra back on its feet -- it won't go beyond that.

Sally: Do I detect a little insecurity, princess?

Steffy: No. No, I have no insecurity when it comes to my husband and my marriage. But if you have more feelings towards my husband other than gratitude, well, you're gonna be disappointed. So be smart. That photo... needs to go, and you need to get on with your life and stop leaning on liam. You reaped the benefits of his goodness. Don't try for more.

Bill: What's it gonna be, liam? I've made concessions. Time for you to make some.

Liam: Okay. O-- all right. Okay. How 'bout this? I go to sally, okay? I tell her spencer publications is ready to take responsibility for its actions. We give them... one year -- one year in the current building to see if they can get spectra back on its feet. After that, we talk relocation, which we will pay for and support because of everything we've done to them.

Bill: Everything I've done to them, you mean.

Liam: Dad, I'm not -- I'm not even pointing fingers right now, okay? I'm just trying to find a viable solution, which this is. We back spectra. We can even arrange to take a fixed percentage of all their profits until the building is paid for. We see how that goes. If it goes well, we get them a new building. You get your property to build sky on. It is a win-win for everybody. Dad, come on! This -- this is the bare minimum we could be doing for them.

Bill: Let's put it to a vote. Relocate sally, demo crew comes this week. We put it off for a year, per liam's plan. I know how you feel. You know how I feel. Wyatt...it's up to you.

Liam: Look at me. Hey. Bro, look at me. I have made huge concessions here, but who are we if we can't pay restitution for the millions in damages we have caused spectra? I mean, this -- this is the least we should be doing.

Bill: Level it now, wait a year? Who do you support, wyatt?

Wyatt: I got to support dad.

Liam: Oh, come -- what?!

Wyatt: He knows what he's doing, liam.

Liam: What the --

Wyatt: I know you want to do the right thing, but we got to do what's best for this company!

Liam: That's --

Wyatt: Putting dad's project on hold...

Liam: Oh, my god.

Wyatt: ...Just to accommodate sally spectra --

Liam: That's not what this is about! This is about taking responsibil-- I can't believe this is happening right now.

Bill: It's happening. You're gonna go to sally. You're gonna tell her that, in reality, she doesn't own the property and to start packing. Spectra's coming down, son. And there's nothing you can do to stop me.

Liam: But I will. I will stop you -- maybe not like this... but I will stop you. . . .
