Episode # 7499 ~ Quinn is dumbfounded by Ridge's sudden change in attitude toward her; Wyatt attempts to get Liam to admit that Quinn has some positive attributes.

Quinn: Uh, well, this has been a seminal moment in my career. [Chuckles] Not to mention surreal.
Quinn: I'll never forget it, being in the same room with so many brilliant and talented minds. And to hear such...unexpected, kind words. I'm gonna leave here more inspired than I ever have been. [Laughs]
Ridge: Well, that sounds like a wrap-up line if I've ever heard one -- are we done, Cyndy?
Ridge: Okay, and I want to just thank everybody for coming. Thank you for your questions, and, once again, it was a great evening. And, yes, we leave, like you said, inspired and invigorated, and more than anything else, we leave united. Thank you.
Thomas: So, how long did you say you've been staying here?
Steffy: Oh, I know. I-I'm sorry. I'll pick up everything. Sorry.
Thomas: It's fine. It's just crazy seeing you back in here.
Steffy: Yeah, it won't be for long. I mean, if that's a problem... I kind of just descended on you. I can get a hotel. I don't mind.
Thomas: Steff, come on. No, you don't have to do that. Mi casa... it is, uh -- it is a little surprising seeing you move out of Liam's place.
Steffy: [Sighs] Yeah.
Liam: Good news?
Wyatt: I guess I could be wrong, but apparently, the symposium was a huge success.
Wyatt: Yeah. Ridge was very complimentary -- that's a surprise -- and there's evidence. Look. A photo.
Liam: Well, I guess someone's plan is working.
Steffy: I really didn't want to move out. Liam and I, we were so happy living together. It's been really tough being apart from him.
Thomas: Well, you and Liam have been through a lot together. I was surprised when you said you wanted to move back in here.
Steffy: Yeah, granddad took me to task.
Thomas: Really? Mr. Live and let live?
Steffy: Well, he has opinions. I mean, it's wrong for me to be living with Liam while I'm still married to Wyatt. It's really disrespectful and unfair to him. And I also have this image to uphold as C.E.O.
Thomas: Granddad and Quinn have really been working on you. Effectively, from what I see.
Thomas: So what does this mean for you and Wyatt?
Wyatt: Eric's a very astute guy. I mean, I need to sit at his feet and learn. I mean, look at this. My mother's radiant, Ridge is beaming at her, tensions seem to be easing. It's like a coming out party. [Chuckles] My mom's finally getting the recognition she deserves.
Liam: Yeah, I mean, she makes jewelry.
Wyatt: My mom ran Forrester when Eric couldn't. She came up with the jewelry pass idea all on her own, which was innovative and ultimately very profitable for us. So, yeah, she should get all this recognition.
Liam: Yeah, uh, I'm sure everyone will be seeing Quinn much more clearly after this.
Quinn: How can this happen? Obviously there was a communication breakdown because we both can't stay here. We need another room.
Ridge: Oh, forget about that.
Quinn: Forget it?
Ridge: Yeah, it's gonna work itself out. You were a star tonight.
Quinn: Yeah. Well, I mean, I did kind of feel like a star.
Ridge: Well, you did a beautiful job.
Quinn: You think so?
Ridge: I do. You were flying blind. You didn't know about symposiums and what to do, what not to do, and you were charming, and you... "you were a real asset to Forrester," he says reluctantly.
Quinn: Oh! I accept your reluctant compliment.
Ridge: You're welcome. Let's drink to that. Let's see what they got.
Quinn: A martini is good for winding down at the end of a long day. Tequila is either having fun or drowning your sorrows.
Ridge: Look what I found.
Quinn: Uh, tequila?
Ridge: Yep! You want to give it a shot?
Quinn: Pun intended? Yeah. Yeah. Tequila works.
Ridge: Good. All right, now, I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I still despise everything about you.
Quinn: Well, the feeling is mutual. [Coughs] Smooth. [Coughing continues]
Steffy: I'll always care about Wyatt. Just couldn't make the marriage work.
Thomas: It's a tall order, expecting somebody to obliterate their mother like that.
Steffy: I thought you were team Liam.
Thomas: I'm team Steffy. I will always be team Steffy. I'm just trying to figure you out.
Steffy: Go for it. I'm an open book.
Thomas: No, you're not. You always cover something up. [Clears throat] My guess is, Wyatt's still fighting for you.
Steffy: He's pretty tenacious.
Thomas: So you like that about him?
Steffy: Yeah, he's -- he's incredible. I was lucky to have him. I mean, any woman would be lucky to have him. He's not gonna be alone for long.
Thomas: Does that bother you? The idea of him with someone else?
Steffy: That wouldn't be fair. I'm the one insisting on a divorce, and once the divorce is final, I'm moving back in with Liam, and we're gonna have our future.
Thomas: Steff, you've been through a lot. Honestly, I can't believe how Quinn rearranged your life. She stole Liam away to that cabin for months, manipulated you and Wyatt into getting married, and here she is, front and center.
Steffy: ...As long as she's married to granddad.
Thomas: Interrogation over. I'm gonna get a workout in, all right?
Steffy: Don't hurt yourself.
Thomas: [Playfully laughs]
Wyatt: Can I give you a little brotherly advice?
Liam: I'm not sure. What is it?
Wyatt: How to stress less, 'cause clearly you've got a lot of it right now. I get that you have issues with how closely Steffy's gonna be working with my mother and me, and I get that you hate -- hate the whole social media campaign, but you know what? You glowering at everyone is not gonna make a bit of difference because things are in motion right now. Steffy and I are gonna be working together. Marketing is my job, and I am damn good at it, and my mother's good at her job, too. So we're not going anywhere.
Liam: Yeah, well, a guy can hope.
Wyatt: You know what? I'm not worried about us. Because we're brothers. And whatever differences that we have, we're gonna be fine. But my mother is no longer an outsider. She is Forrester family. So I suggest that you just figure out a way to deal with that.
Liam: You're right.
Wyatt: See? Now, was that so hard? Like, you look less stressed. You look relaxed.
Liam: Quinn does need to be dealt with.
Wyatt: You know, I just -- [Sighs]
Quinn: This is pleasant.
Ridge: It's not bad for a mini bar.
Quinn: No, I'm not talking about the tequila. [Clears throat] I'm talking about you and me. This is a civilized moment.
Ridge: Mm, who would have thought?
Quinn: [Laughs] Well, it never ceases to amaze me how wise Eric is. Sending us to san Francisco might have been just the ticket.
Ridge: Ticket to what?
Quinn: A friendlier vibe between us. I mean, I'm not saying that we're ever gonna be...friends, friends, but we can be more tolerant, respectful of each other.
Ridge: Well, I guess anything's possible.
Ridge: Can I freshen your drink for you?
Quinn: Yeah. Thanks.
[Knocks on door]
Ridge: I'll get it. Hey.
Mr. And Mrs. Forrester, I wanted to personally apologize about the mix-up. Originally, we did have reservations for two suites.
Ridge: Well, the ticket was probably on the wrong reservation. That happens.
Quinn: Uh, well, whatever the problem was, we absolutely need another room.
Unfortunately, the hotel is booked, but rest assured, I will be working on this as quickly as possible.
Ridge: Thank you. Really appreciate it. Thanks. Well, it looks like we're gonna be stuck in my room, your room, this room for a little longer.
Quinn: Whoever's room it is, um, I think I'm gonna go take a bath. It's been a long day. Do I need to lock the door?
Ridge: I would.
Ridge: No, I'm just messing with you. I'm gonna go to the bar and have a drink and talk to the hotel manager. Take your time.
Quinn: All right. See you later.
Ridge: See you.
Liam: Yeah, well, I'm at Forrester right now, so, um...
[Cell phone beeps]
Liam: Uh, just have Alison get that to you. Okay. I have another call coming in. Thanks. Ridge.
Ridge: I've got Quinn alone. By this time tomorrow, she'll be out of the picture for good.
Liam: Good news.
Liam: Hi. Is Thomas home?
Steffy: He's working out.
Steffy: Mm, I like the way you say "hi." Come on in.
Liam: [Chuckles] So, you heard from your dad or Quinn?
Steffy: Uh, no. I'm assuming things went well.
Liam: Yeah, I hope so. So...here you are.
Liam: Living in your brother's home when you could be living in your own with me.
Liam: You know you don't have to listen to Eric and Quinn. In fact, you can come home a lot sooner than you think.
Quinn: Oh! I didn't think you'd be back so soon.
Ridge: Eh, the bar was depressing. It's all lonely people down there. I thought we'd continue our party up here.
Quinn: Uh, no, no, no, no. I-I told you, I'm already a tequila newbie.
Ridge: Well, that's the thing about tequila -- practice, practice, practice.
Quinn: All right. [Sighs]
Ridge: Here you go.
Ridge: Talked to the front desk -- still no room. Cheers.
Quinn: Oh, well, then I guess we'll just have to be patient.
Ridge: That's not something that either one of us are very good at.
Quinn: [Chuckles] What?
Ridge: I don't know, I was impressed with you tonight. That wasn't an easy situation. You were charming. You were great. We were just seeing the real Quinn Forrester for the first time. I'd like to see more of her.
Quinn: Did you hit your head? [Laughs] What's with all these compliments?
Ridge: I don't know, I -- I keep surprising myself, too. I don't know where it's coming from.
Quinn: I-I appreciate it, coming from you. I mean, despite our differences, I've always admired your creative genius. [Laughs]
Ridge: "Creative genius." Nice. No, that's good. Maybe you should write my next press release.
Quinn: No, you don't want me to write anything for you.
Ridge: Probably not.
Quinn: [Sighs] All right. [Clears throat] Um...
Ridge: What's wrong?
Quinn: Oh, I'm just -- I'm looking for my body lotion. I can't seem to find it.
Ridge: This it right here?
Quinn: Yes! That's it. Here. What are you doing?
Ridge: Being a gentleman.
Quinn: [Laughs] I got it. Thank you.
Quinn: [Clears throat] So... earlier, you said that you saw the real Quinn. And, uh...you said that I was a true artist. Just the tequila talking?
Ridge: Probably. You missed a spot.
Ridge: Right there. Mm-hmm.
[Knocks on door]
Ridge: I'll get it.
Sorry to interrupt. My manager wanted me to get this to you right away. The other room's available right now. Again, our apologies on the mix-up. Like my boss said, a gentleman called and specifically requested the change from two rooms to one.
Quinn: Wait a minute. You said a gentleman called?
Ridge: Here, thank you so much for taking care of this. Bye. Okay. Where were we?
Quinn: Ridge, what's going on here?
Steffy: What do you mean, sooner than I think?
Liam: Just, um...that I'm choosing optimism. I'm just -- I'm just choosing to believe that all the things wrong right now -- Quinn's omnipresence, Wyatt's media onslaught, your grandfather's campaign to get you away from me -- that all those things will be made right. And you'll be back where you belong. You know, there's so many things that get in our way, so many obstacles, and we always end up right back at this same place. Not here. Not here. But, you know, here. Do you know what I believe in? Us, and our future together. And nothing -- and no one -- is going to stop us. Do you know why? Because we are written in the damn stars, my love, in big, bright, shiny letters.
Steffy: I love you so much.
Liam: I love you. And that is why we're unstoppable.
Quinn: What are you up to?
Ridge: I don't know. These moments keep happening.
Quinn: Define "moments."
Ridge: This -- you know what I mean. These moments between us. There's something going on. It's inappropriate and we got to stop it.
Quinn: You're right. Moments do keep happening.
Ridge: You started it.
Ridge: Yes, you!
Quinn: No, no, no, no, no...
Ridge: Taking a naked shower outside so I could see you.
Quinn: I am onto you! After I twisted my ankle and you gave me such a nice massage. And then in the steam room. And now this -- one room instead of two? No. I told you playing me wouldn't work.
Ridge: And yet, here you are, putting lotion on your legs and having drinks with me. I have a theory.
Quinn: No, I have a theory! That your father is rubbing off on me! That I'm always trying to see the best in people. The only thing I did wrong here is I wanted to believe you. You were up on that stage and you were so honest and apologetic.
Ridge: I meant what I said.
Quinn: No, you didn't! You're trying to lead me down some sort of a path! So that I would -- I would ruin my marriage, so you could destroy my life!
Quinn: You are so angry. You are so consumed with hatred for me that you would seduce your father's wife?
Ridge: Don't -- don't do that. Don't make this about me. This is us. There's something. I don't know what it is, but we got to be honest about it.
Quinn: [Scoffs] You're trying to disgrace me. You're trying to get me to cross a line that Eric would never forgive. What kind of a person does that? What kind of a son does that?
Ridge: The kind of son who will protect his father at all costs! That's why I have to get you out of his life. Did you really even for a second think that I had feelings for you? Are you kidding me? I had you this close to the edge, this close to showing me how much you really love my dad.
Quinn: I would never betray Eric because I love him. And I'm committed --
Ridge: This close to falling! That's the kind of woman you are, and that's why I got to cut you out of his life.
Quinn: Well, it's too bad you misjudged me. Because when I tell Eric what you tried to do to me, you're the one who's gonna get cut out. Cut out of the company, cut out Eric's life forever. You tried to play me in the worst possible way, but you failed, and I am telling you this right now, so listen to me! You're the one who's gonna pay the price.
