Episode # 7408 ~ Bill makes Brooke an offer with a contingency plan; Nicole grows suspicious about Thomas & Sasha.
Provided By Suzanne
Brooke: [Chuckles] How is it you always manage to surprise me?
Bill: Well, doesn't that tell you something? The least predictable woman I know deserves the same in her man. At least we'll never be bored.
Brooke: [Laughs] I-I don't even know what to say.
Bill: Best deal you'll ever make.
Brooke: [Sighs] Because it includes you in the payoff?
Bill: Well, I don't want to put words in your mouth. You came to me with a business proposition -- include my 12.5% of Forrester in the divorce settlement. I gave you a counter proposal. You can have my shares free and clear. Give them to Forrester if you want to. I don't give a damn. That's my wedding gift to you.
Ridge: Brooke is a persuasive woman. She always was. And I think she can do this. She can get the shares from Bill.
Katie: Well, you may be right. But Bill is gonna want something in return. And we both know what -- or should I say who that is.
Thomas: Mnh-mnh-mnh-mnh-mnh. So, what, uh -- what made you really stop by today?
Sasha: Just my responsibility to you.
Thomas: Just to swing by and brighten up my day?
Sasha: [Gasps] See? You already know.
Thomas: Well, I'm glad you did.
Sasha: Good, 'cause I wouldn't want to be presumptuous.
Thomas: No, I kind of like it. It's -- it's hot.
Thomas: Makes me want another kiss.
Sasha: Go for it.
[Knock on door] Or maybe I should have called first.
Thomas: I'm not expecting anyone.
Nicole: Pam said that you left these at the office by accident.
Thomas: Thank you.
Nicole: Sasha? What are you doing here?
Sasha: Hey, Nic. What's going on?
Nicole: I'm good. Surprised to see you here. I didn't realize you and Thomas were friends.
Sasha: We're getting there.
Thomas: Yeah, Sasha and I have been hanging out. It's -- it's been really nice.
Sasha: It has.
Thomas: She's fun.
Nicole: Yeah, she can be.
Sasha: Well, Thomas just gets too serious sometimes. I'm just trying to lighten him up.
Thomas: She's doing a great job, too.
Sasha: [Chuckles] Lemonade?
Nicole: No, thank you.
Thomas: You know, I'm surprised nobody caught that you two were sisters sooner. It's -- it's pretty obvious, actually.
Sasha: You think so?
Thomas: Yeah. Oh, yeah. Definitely. Beauty times two. I mean, you guys must have been the tag team growing up.
Nicole: Uh, we raised a little fuss.
Sasha: A tiny bit.
Thomas: Oh, I bet.
Sasha: Oh, we would have had your head spinning in no time flat.
Thomas: Don't doubt that for a second.
Katie: Bill couldn't be more blatant about wanting Brooke back, and now he has something that she wants for you. He's not above leveraging that.
Ridge: Can I ask you something? Bill is such an -- he's - he's so -- he's so crass.
Ridge: Why -- why don't women see that?
Katie: Uh, women do. We do. I guess maybe perversely that's kind of part of his charm.
Ridge: Doesn't make any sense.
Katie: You should ask Brooke about that. Those two are looking for an excuse, any excuse, to be together. And maybe Bill's shares of Forrester give them exactly what they need.
Brooke: You're actually bribing me into marriage.
Bill: Hell, yeah, if it works.
Bill: No. It's my grand gesture to show you how much you mean to me.
Brooke: You are outrageous.
Bill: I've been called worse. What I am is in love with you. And you feel the same way about me, even if you're not ready to openly admit it again. I see the future, Brooke. And finally, life is good.
Brooke: [Sighs] Bill, I wish you wouldn't --
Bill: Yes, you do.
Brooke: You are an arrogant man. [Chuckles]
Bill: I prefer "confident." Sure of myself. And sure about us. And so are you. You just need a little incentive, a nudge in the right direction. And I'm happy to provide that for you. You want to give Forrester my 12.5% so he can pull off another little coup. Fine. All I care about is you, convincing you to come back where you belong. I've given you a lot to think about. So, mull it over. And then accept the deal...
Bill: ...So we can move on with our life together.
Thomas: You girls good?
Thomas: I, uh -- I left my phone on the roof.
Nicole: Uh, you know, I can just go if I'm in the way.
Thomas: Absolutely not. Stay. Talk with your sister.
Sasha: Okay, what is this look?
Nicole: No look.
Sasha: Come on, Nic. I know you. You've got questions.
Nicole: To be honest, it was a surprise to find you here.
Nicole: Do you come here often?
Sasha: [Sighs] Like I told you, Thomas and I are friends.
Nicole: You're not dressed like a friend.
Sasha: And how exactly does a friend dress? I've got nothing to hide here. If there was something serious going on, I would tell you.
Nicole: Is there a possibility that it could be?
Sasha: I don't know where we're headed. I just know that Thomas is a really cool guy, and I want to take the ride. Nic, please, just don't get in the way of this for me.
Bill: I want to jump on this now when Katie's in a good frame of mind to accept the divorce agreement. But moments of connection between us are fleeting, so I want this signed, sealed, and delivered A.S.A.P.
Justin: Well, you wanted me to sweeten the deal. How's this?
Bill: Wow. Well, that's pretty sweet. Could send me into a diabetic coma.
Bill: I'm glad I have money to burn.
Justin: Yeah. Katie's coming out of this marriage an extremely wealthy woman.
Bill: Well, she deserves it. I put her through a lot.
Justin: She holding up okay?
Bill: She's doing great from what I can see. I mean, she looks fantastic. She's got her confidence back. She's not drinking.
Justin: Oh, well, what about the Forrester shares?
Bill: They're a non-starter, not negotiable. I've got other plans for that 12.5% -- life-changing plans.
Justin: Something I need to know.
Bill: I'm offering them to Brooke as a wedding present.
Brooke: Katie. Hi.
Katie: Hi. Um, I can go. I-I know that you've just come from seeing Bill, and I understand if I make you feel uncomfortable.
Ridge: Did you, uh -- did you get anywhere with Spencer?
Ridge: Maybe? Don't tell me you got distracted.
Brooke: No. I went there to get the shares.
Katie: So, what happened? Did you convince him?
Brooke: It's possible. He sweetened your settlement agreement, by the way.
Ridge: To include the shares.
Brooke: More for the lack of them. He's giving them to me.
Brooke: As a wedding present.
Ridge: Wait, he's -- he's, uh -- he's trying to barter you into marriage?
Katie: Did you accept?
Brooke: He's given me some time to think about it.
Katie: [Scoffs] What's there to think about? I mean, it's the perfect solution.
Ridge: Look, if --
Katie: No, really. It's brilliant. I mean, leave it to Bill to go right to the heart of the deal. Everybody gets what they want. You get your shares to stop Quinn, and you get Bill.
Brooke: Katie, it's not --
Katie: Damn it, Brooke! Just do it.
Sasha: We've been through so much together, and unfortunately, most of it hasn't been good since I moved to town.
Nicole: Yeah, well, we're trying to move past all of that, so we should probably stop revisiting it.
Sasha: I don't think we have a choice. It's still here. It's the elephant in the room every time we're together. You and me being sisters, and I knew all along and didn't say anything. I've lost your trust, and I understand that. I have to gain it back, and that's gonna take some time, but I'm growing and changing more and more every day. But, Nic, you've got to let it happen.
Nicole: Why would I stop it?
Sasha: You might not like the idea of Thomas and me.
Nicole: Yeah, well, he has a son with Caroline.
Sasha: I know that.
Nicole: So, is he even available?
Sasha: He hasn't told me otherwise. Nic, we're not even there yet. Thomas is just a really nice guy, and I'm enjoying spending time with him. And I'd like to think he's enjoying spending time with me, too.
Thomas: You don't have to worry about that. I am. I can give you guys more time, if you need.
Justin: You sly fox. You seriously offered your Forrester stock to Brooke as a wedding gift?
Bill: It's time, Justin. Brooke and I should have been married a long time ago.
Justin: Except you were married to her sister.
Bill: Well, Katie and I are over, and I'm done waiting. I want my life with Brooke back as soon as possible. So, if that means I have to nudge it along a little bit, I can do that, conscience clear.
Katie: Please, God, Brooke, free us from our collective misery, especially me. I mean, haven't I been tortured enough? Bill wants you. You want Bill. There's nothing standing in your way, so go for it.
Brooke: You're still Bill's wife.
Katie: Yeah, well, that's a situation that's going to be rectified very soon.
Ridge: Katie, the breakup of a marriage -- that's a -- that's a painful thing. You can allow yourself to be sad.
Katie: Of course I'm sad. Bill was my husband. We had a family together. But that doesn't matter, because some things just aren't meant to be, no matter how hard you try. And some things can't be stopped. So, please, don't restrain yourself on my account. I'm moving on. You know what? There's a freedom in letting go. I'm allowed to be myself, whoever the hell that is after all of this. But I'm excited to find out. I'm taking control of my life.
Ridge: There's a lot to be said for that.
Katie: And there's a lot to be excited about -- you know, new start, endless possibilities. I mean, thanks to Bill's generosity, I've got plenty of cash. My son is healthy and happy. And best of all, I am beholden to no one. I'm not like you. I don't need a man to validate me. I can amuse myself until the right one comes along.
Brooke: I know you're angry with me, Katie.
Katie: Actually, I'm not. I know you don't believe that. Am I disappointed? Sure. I'm human. This is not what I wanted. And a part of my heart will always be a little wounded, but there's no point in being angry. It doesn't solve anything. The only person it hurts is me and -- and my son. It's a waste of time and energy, and I have wasted enough time and energy on you and Bill. So, please, do what comes naturally to you. I don't care.
Brooke: Why do you keep pushing?
Katie: Because it's inevitable. Everyone knows it. I'm not an obstacle anymore. I'm not really sure I ever really was. I'm starting a new project. I'm going back to work. And every day, my son is gonna wake up and look at an awesome mother who gives him everything he needs. I'm gonna instruct my lawyers to accept Bill's settlement. I'm going to put this ugly chapter behind me and move on. You should, too.
Ridge: Well, Logan... it's up to you now. What are you gonna do?
Thomas: Families are the best. And the worst. Nobody can hurt you like your father can, or your sister. I'm sure it packs an even bigger punch when your best friend from down the street is actually your sister.
Nicole: It makes things complicated.
Thomas: Sasha's been honest with me. For what it's worth, she loves you. She wants to be a part of your family. Don't lose that. Make up for past mistakes. Give her that chance.
Nicole: Look, I get that you're sincere. I respect your determination to change. And I'm rooting for you. But damage was done. And it'll take time for me to fully trust you again, but I'm trying.
Sasha: Fair enough. Just, please, Nicole, keep an open heart. Remember what dad said. You can't send or receive love if it's closed.
Nicole: I know. I hear you.
Nicole: Why not? I should get going.
Thomas: Nicole, thanks for dropping off those sketches. I appreciate it.
Nicole: Of course.
Sasha: You better be careful. You're working on quite a habit.
Thomas: And what's that?
Sasha: You defended me again.
Bill: I love you. Don't ever forget that.
Brooke: I love you.
Ridge: Look at me. Bill's shares of Forrester -- they could change a lot of what's wrong around here for sure. You and I could run this company, get rid of Quinn, and rick could be more involved. What do you want?
Brooke: I want that. You know, Quinn doesn't belong here, not after what she did to hope and Liam and Steffy. And poor Wyatt, his whole life. And now she's targeting Eric. That is unacceptable. And, yes, I want rick to work here, side by side with you, you giving him those opportunities, making him feel wanted, needed. That has been a desire, a wish of mine for a very long time.
Ridge: At what price? You want to marry Bill Spencer? He's such a tool.
Brooke: You and I don't see Bill the same way.
Ridge: You're right about that, but if you're gonna marry this guy, do it because it's what you want, not because you want to do it for me.
Brooke: I wouldn't. Believe me, I would never accept a proposal as a business opportunity, no matter what was on the table.
Ridge: So, that's what you want? You want to wake up next to that guy for the rest of your life?
[Cell phone rings]
Brooke: Hi, Bill.
Bill: I want to see you tomorrow. I know I said I'd give you time, but I can't wait any longer than that.
Bill: I just pledged my life to you. You already know what you want, so let's stop wasting time. I need your answer, Brooke. I want to move forward. Tomorrow.
Bill: I love you.
Ridge: So, what are you gonna do? You gonna marry that guy?
