Wyatt: I can't believe this. Are -- are you sure? You're positive?
Steffy: I was in the office when my grandfather brought Quinn in.
Wyatt: Eric offered her a job?
Wyatt: She didn't accept?
Steffy: Oh, she accepted, all right.
Wyatt: She wouldn't do that.
Steffy: She did.
Wyatt: Well, why -- why is Eric offering her a job?!
Steffy: Because he's not thinking straight. Because he's being taken advantage of by your mom.
[Knock on door]
Quinn: Look at you.
Eric: Look at you. Come in.
Quinn: [Chuckles softly]
Eric: May I? Here.
Quinn: Wow. Eric, it's beautiful. But ridge -- if he sees me here...
Eric: Ridge won't be a problem tonight. Tonight's just you and me.
Ridge: Hey, Katie. Do you mind?
Ridge: Thanks for coming.
Katie: Uh...everything okay? You sounded a little stressed out.
Ridge: Yeah. A little tense.
Katie: I'm assuming this is about bill's 12.5%?
Ridge: Have you talked to him about the settlement, or...?
Katie: Yeah, briefly.
Ridge: 'Cause I need that stock now more than ever.
Steffy: I respect my grandfather, but he thinks that we're treating him like a child. But this isn't about my grandfather. This is about Quinn and how we all need to be protected from her! And that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
Wyatt: Well, she completely ignored me. I demanded that she stop.
Steffy: She doesn't respond to stopping. She doesn't respond to demands. Her language is threats, and I'm gonna start speaking it if she doesn't stay away from my grandfather.
Quinn: I thought you preferred a martini before dinner.
Eric: Normally, yes. But this seems like a champagne sort of evening.
Eric: To two of the things you've brought to my life in a very short time -- a beautiful woman and a wonderful evening... one I think we'll never forget.
Katie: Bill's not gonna give anything up without a fight.
Ridge: Well, I know, and I know it wasn't gonna be easy, but we can do this. You'll sue him. Brooke and I will be there. You get the 12.5% sell it to me. Win-win.
Katie: Right. Listen, I've talked to bill. He pretty much knows you're behind this, so he's not gonna go for it.
Ridge: Yeah. That's not a shocker. But once we start negotiating, he'd want to give up 12.5% of Forrester instead of a piece of Spencer publications.
Katie: Spencer Publications is not on the table.
Ridge: It will be on the table... if he doesn't want to give up the 12.5%.
Katie: [Sighs] Did something else happen since I spoke to you last? This seems especially important.
Ridge: My dad is important. He's not in charge anymore. Quinn is.
Katie: I just can't believe that Eric hired Quinn back.
Ridge: Yeah, he sure did. He brought her to a meeting like some kind of trophy. He's not himself anymore. Bringing Quinn back here after everything she's done? No one wants her here -- no one.
Katie: Not her own son.
Ridge: Especially her own son -- and Steffy. He just hired the one person that can single-handedly destroy her marriage.
Wyatt: How -- how could she do this?
Steffy: She's treating you the way she treats me -- with total disregard.
Wyatt: Well, I-I couldn't have been more blunt with her. I said, "stay away from Steffy, Eric, Forrester, everything." She knows the repercussions that'll happen.
Steffy: I don't think she does. I don't think she gets it. It's like everything we say -- it means nothing to her.
Wyatt: Well, I can't accept that. I know her all too well. Trust me -- rejection from me is her worst fear.
Steffy: Maybe she believes it's never gonna happen.
Wyatt: I warned her, Steffy!
Steffy: Well, warning her has no impact. I'm sorry, Wyatt, but you don't have any power over her. None of us do.
Steffy: So, unfortunately, for my grandfather, for my entire family, there's going to be a price to pay. [Sighs]
Eric: You should help me play this. Come here. Come here. Right here -- these two notes right here.
See these? Fingers here.
Eric: Yeah? When I do this, you play, right?
Eric: We're great together. You having a good time?
Quinn: Since the moment I floated through that door.
Quinn: And you?
Eric: Time of my life.
Quinn: Mmm. I have to imagine you've had a lot of those in this place.
Eric: Not this.
Quinn: [Sighs] This has been the most... wonderful evening. As much as I want to stay longer... I don't want to cause any more conflict between you and your family.
Eric: You won't.
Quinn: Ridge is gonna be home soon, I suspect, and you know how he's gonna react if he sees me here.
Eric: There's something you don't know. I asked ridge to move out. His bags are all packed. This is my house. I loaned it to the kids for a while, but now I told them that they have to do what I did at their age. They have to take control of their lives and their families and get on with things. That's what I did -- took control of my life and the business, everything else. I'm so full of energy these days. I'm so happy, and it's all because of you.
Katie: This is a terrible situation for everyone.
Ridge: Especially Steffy.
Katie: Well, it's hard on Eric, too, I'm sure. I mean, he's got to listen to his granddaughter, whom he loves, begging him to stay away from Quinn.
Ridge: That's what I mean. He wouldn't do this. This is Steffy. He loves her. It's his family.
Katie: And family comes first with Eric.
Ridge: Yeah, usually. That's changed now. He asked me to move out of the house.
Katie: Are you serious?! Because of Quinn?!
Ridge: Yeah, I guess because of Quinn. He wants her. He wants his privacy. What he doesn't want is to take advice from his family.
Katie: Well, I don't...really see how there's anything you can do about that.
Ridge: There's not. It's his private life. But I got to protect the business. My dad's in charge now, and he's got Quinn in his ear, so I need that 12.5%. I know it's hard, but it's gonna benefit you and your future and the future of Forrester.
Quinn: Mmm. You are such a good man.
Eric: I have my moments.
Quinn: I'm gonna be worthy of you. I will.
Eric: You are.
Quinn: No, your family was right. I was a shrew. But you tamed me.
Eric: And that's the last time I want to hear you refer to yourself that way. You're not a shrew. You're a beautiful, stunning woman, and I'm -- I'm grateful to have you in my home.
Quinn: [Chuckles] In all my years... I have never heard a man ever say once that he was grateful to have me in his home. That, I think, alone should give you pause to think.
Eric: I do not condone some of the things you did, but I think that we all deserve a fresh start. That's what you gave me. I have a whole new life... and I have you to thank for it.
Quinn: You believe in me. You truly believe in me. And I love you for that. And if this is the only night... we ever spend like this... [Sighs] ...It'll be enough.
Wyatt: I hate what this is doing to you.
Steffy: To both of us.
Wyatt: No. I've been dealing with this my entire life. You have only had the starter course. Look, I made a promise to you, and I'm gonna make good on that. I'm gonna make sure she's out of our lives permanently.
Steffy: Wyatt --
Wyatt: No. I mean it this time.
Steffy: Look, I want to believe you -- I really do -- but you've tried and you've tried and --
Wyatt: No, this has been a never-ending battle for me, all right? But nothing and no one is gonna get in between us. I've already lost so much because of my mother. I'm not gonna do it again. So, I'm gonna go to her place. I'm gonna make her not accept that job offer, and she's gonna end any and all involvement with Eric once and for all. Look, trust me, okay? I'm gonna make it happen. All right?
Ridge: Hey. Glad to see you.
Ridge: I've been thinking about you.
Steffy: Thinking or worrying about me?
Ridge: It's the same thing these days, isn't it? Did you fill in Wyatt?
Steffy: Wyatt was at Quinn's place. I've never seen him so determined to just get Quinn out of the country, away from my family... away from my grandfather.
Ridge: Well, good luck with that.
Steffy: You know what? I want to believe Wyatt's gonna get through to her. We can't go on this way.
Ridge: It's a tricky situation.
Steffy: [Sighing] Oh, yeah.
Ridge: Dad asked me to move out of the house.
Steffy: What?! Why?!
Ridge: I don't know. I guess he wants some privacy with Quinn.
Steffy: Oh, he's lost it.
Ridge: Yeah, it seems that way.
Steffy: You know, it's one thing to make a mistake in design, but this -- this just makes me wonder --
Ridge: Makes you wonder what? About his mental capacity?
Steffy: What? No. I don't want to think that way, dad.
Ridge: I don't want to think that way, either, but he's made some weird choices -- to side with Quinn instead of his family, after what he's done to you, what he's done to me?
Steffy: I told him to stay away from Quinn, but he doesn't listen. He didn't listen to me.
Ridge: He's running our company.
Steffy: [Sighs] Yep. The business, my marriage -- it's like none of that matters to him.
Ridge: It's taking a toll on you, isn't it?
Steffy: Quinn has to go.
[Crickets chirping, dog barks in distance]
[Siren wailing in distance]
Wyatt: Mom! Open the door!
Wyatt: Are you in there?! Where is she?
Quinn: So lovely. Ah, I could spend the rest of the evening... just like this.
Eric: Maybe another glass of champagne to go with that?
Quinn: Not if it means you have to leave me.
Eric: It's right there. I won't be gone very long.
Quinn: Okay. I guess I can handle that.
Quinn: [Sighs] You promised me an evening that I would never forget... and I won't. Thank you, Eric.
Eric: I also promised you a surprise, if you recall.
Quinn: Spending the evening in your home like this is surprise enough. [Sighs] You've changed me, Eric. And I am going to earn your respect.
Eric: You won't have to work very hard to do that.
Quinn: Oh, yes, I will. I heard what you said in the office. I was mortified that you even had to say that, but you did, 'cause your family only knows me as the woman I used to be.
Eric: That's not the woman you are anymore. Change takes time, though, you know?
Quinn: I don't expect you to wait for me.
Eric: I'm not gonna wait for you. I'm gonna be there with you. We're gonna do this together -- you and me. But it would make it a little easier if I could spend a little more time with you, if you were around a little more, if you know what I mean.
Eric: Here's to surprises.
Quinn: Oh, wait. There's something in my glass.
Eric: No, don't -- don't -- don't -- don't swallow that.
Quinn: What in the world?
Eric: I believe that fits the front door. I don't want to be too forward, but I'm wondering if you're interested in shacking up with me, my fair lady.
Quinn: Are you kidding me? You believe in me that much? [Sighs] Well... Eric, I won't let you down.
Eric: Does that mean you'll move in?
Quinn: Yes. I would love to shack up with you. [Chuckles]
Steffy: It's a deal-breaker, dad. I can't have that woman in my life.
