Episode # 7399 ~ Wyatt & Liam argue over Steffy and the effect Quinn has in her life; Eric's decision regarding Quinn is met by his family with frustration and hostility.

Provided By Suzanne

Steffy: Granddad, please just listen to us. Quinn is dangerous. She's not good for you or the company.

Ridge: And hiring her would be a huge mistake, dad.

Rick: I've got to agree with ridge on this one. She's just gonna cause more problems.

Pam: Listen to them, Eric. You don't want to do something that you might regret.

Steffy: Might? We all know what Quinn is capable of. Think about what she did to Liam.

Eric: All right, all right. I've heard enough. I know where you all stand on this issue. Look, you're my family. I hate to do anything to upset any of you, especially you, Steffy.

Wyatt: It's over with Eric. My mom promised me that she was backing off. What? It's like you're hoping that she'll mess and do something stupid.

Liam: It's not that. I just have no faith in the woman. Wyatt, it is naive to think that Quinn has changed, that she's not gonna affect Steffy's life anymore.

Wyatt: Okay, well, you let me worry about Steffy, okay? You go worry about your charities and saving the world.

Liam: I am very committed to my foundation, but I'm even more committed to looking out for Steffy.

Wyatt: Huh.

Sasha: You know, I've heard all the rumors about you, Thomas Forrester.

Thomas: [Clears throat] You shouldn't believe any of them.

Sasha: Really?

Thomas: No.

Sasha: Hmm, because word on the street is that underneath that handsome, eligible bachelor façade you got going on, you're a pretty thoughtful guy.

Thomas: Oh! In that case, yes, you should believe everything you hear, absolutely.

Sasha: Oh, that's a different tune.

Thomas: Yeah, yeah.

Sasha: But seriously, the way you defended me to my father earlier -- it's just really nice to know that somebody's got my back.

Thomas: Like I said, any time you need me, I'm there.

Sasha: God, it's such a big change -- you know, coming out to L.A. And working for Forrester creations.

Thomas: Hmm.

Sasha: I don't take any of it for granted at all. In fact, like, I practically have to pinch myself every day to make sure this is still real. Like, is this my life? Look at me!

Thomas: Well, you're doing an amazing job.

Sasha: Thank you.

Thomas: You even make workout clothes look amazing.

Sasha: [Chuckles] Well, that's good to know, because I practically live in this stuff.

Thomas: Oh.

Sasha: Yeah, it's um -- it's super comfy, a little sexy. Dress it up, dress it down. Put a little "Sasha" on it.

Thomas: Oh, I like it. A lot.

Sasha: Thanks. Yeah, and it really works with this super-laid-back L.A. Lifestyle.

Thomas: How so?

Sasha: It's actually a big step up for me. Well, not too long ago, this girl was rocking a burger uniform.

Thomas: Really?

Sasha: Yeah, it was grease-stained shirts, name tags, hair nets, the whole shebang.

Thomas: I bet you still looked beautiful.

Sasha: No, no, no, no, no. Not even Beyoncé could pull that outfit off. It was awful.

Thomas: [Laughs] Ahh. Activewear, though. You know, maybe that's something that Forrester should look into. I mean, you certainly look gorgeous in it.

Sasha: Well, coming from a designer like you, that's quite a compliment.

Wyatt: Still no word from Steffy.

Liam: Well, she's still in that meeting with Eric. I'm sure you'll hear from her soon. Unless Quinn has Steffy locked in a closet somewhere, which is a distinct possibility.

Wyatt: Oh, come on. Will you just stop already? Give it a rest, Liam!

Liam: Hey, let me simplify this for you. If you love Steffy, then you recognize Quinn has to be completely absent from her life, and that is not possible if she's married to you.

Steffy: Good. I'm glad you finally realized hiring Quinn is a terrible idea.

Rick: And, dad, we didn't mean to come down on you so hard. We were just worried we weren't getting through to you.

Ridge: So we're all in agreement. It's settled.

Steffy: It's time for you to leave, Quinn. My grandfather's made himself clear.

Pam: So, I'll walk her out?

Ridge: I'm gonna have Charlie make sure she stays off the property.

Pam: Come on, Quinn.

Eric: All right, hang on. I want to finish here. You're all so important to me, but a man reaches a point in his life when he feels he's earned the right to make a decision and stand by it.

Steffy: Granddad, what are --

Eric: Steffy. I'm sorry to upset you. I really am. But you've made decisions that I don't agree with. And I've supported you. I've supported you and your wisdom and your knowledge of what you want to do. I'm asking you to do the same for me now. I enjoy Quinn. I enjoy her companionship and I respect her artistic skills and I know that she wants to make big changes in her life. I want to be the person to help her do that.

Thomas: So, L.A. Is your new home. You're all settled in. You know some cool places to go, you know some cool people -- me. And you're finally a California girl. How's it feel?

Sasha: It feels like a California girl with a Midwestern heart.

Thomas: Ah, best combination.

Sasha: You know, as much as I'm loving it, I can't imagine ever growing up here, you know? Being a part of such a prestigious family. That must have been a trip, being one of the privileged Forresters.

Thomas: Yeah, it wasn't always so privileged.

Sasha: Why not?

Thomas: Don't get me wrong, you know, I got just about everything that I needed, and I've had opportunities that I'm incredibly grateful for. But it's not healthy to think that you can get everything that you want because you can't.

Sasha: What --

Thomas: No matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you push for something, some things are just -- they're out of your hands.

Sasha: What could you possibly want that you don't have?

Thomas: My son. I wish he was here. I wish -- I was Caroline hadn't gone to new York. But I can't make her stay. This is what she needed, and I have to respect that.

Sasha: You really care about her, huh?

Thomas: She's the mother of my child. I -- I told her how I felt. But she was committed to my dad.

Sasha: Uh, well, not anymore. I mean, they're getting a divorce now.

Thomas: Yeah. And now she's thousands of miles away.

Sasha: So, what does that mean for you?

Thomas: Means I keep moving forward. I have to live my life.

Wyatt: So, as long as my mother continues to breathe, my marriage is doomed.

Liam: That -- [Sighs] That's not what I'm saying.

Wyatt: Yes, it is. You said there was no hope for Steffy and me.

Liam: Okay, fine. Yes, it is. Steffy shouldn't have to deal with this constant threat to her and her family.

Wyatt: I agree! That's why -- there's only so much I can do, Liam!

Liam: Exactly, Wyatt! That's my whole point! You have no control over your mother, and as long as Steffy's with you --

Wyatt: Just stop! Oh, you're being so ridiculous right now and totally out of line. And I'm not gonna stand here and let you "predict" the end of my marriage.

Ridge: Dad. You can't change her. She's been like this all her life.

Eric: Do you know how insulting it is for all of you to speak to me like this?

Rick: Hey, we're not trying to disrespect you. But you need to understand how concerned and disappointed we are.

Pam: And afraid for you. Afraid for all of us.

Eric: Quinn, I want to say something to you in front of my family. Steffy's right. Nothing is more important to me than family. And I'm going against their better judgment, in a way, here, and maybe even mine, for that matter. And if I'm wrong... [Sighs] If you go back to your old ways, if you begin to scheme or manipulate at all, your employment here at Forrester will be over. And our relationship will be over, too.

Quinn: I understand.

Eric: This is how we begin.

Quinn: You have my word.

Ridge: What? You're buying this? You're smarter than that, dad!

Steffy: She's on her best behavior. She's never gonna change. She's not capable of it.

Rick: Come on, Dad. Don't you understand? It's just a matter of time --

Eric: All right, I've heard enough. I've heard enough. I need a moment with my family.

Quinn: Okay.

Ridge: Well, all right. You've officially lost it. I'm not gonna let this happen.

Eric: God, you're all so concerned about this old man. I'm the father here. I'm the grandfather here. I raised you boys, not the other way around. I founded this company 50 years ago. There was nothing here! And Stephanie and I began. We built it into a world-class fashion house. Now, I appreciate everything that you have contributed to this company, but I'm the C.E.O. Of this company and I'm the patriarch of this family, and you will respect me. All of you!

Sasha: No, I don't buy it. I got to be honest. I always imagined that somebody like you grew up with the perfect family and the perfect childhood. No worries, no struggles, just fabulous.

Thomas: Just birds chirping out of my window and a rainbow flowing right on through.

Sasha: Exactly. That's exactly what I thought.

Thomas: Ah. Not the case.

Sasha: Well, I mean, at least you still had your father around. That's something.

Thomas: We were never the type to have family dinners on Sunday. Never went on long road trips together, ever. I swore that I would never do that to my son. I -- I didn't want that for him. But as time goes on, I can't help but feel like that's the case. I love him. I just -- I want him to know that I will always be there for him and his mother. I -- but until then, I have to keep living my life.

Sasha: Yes, you do. And with a little fun.

Thomas: [Laughs] "Fun." That's a word I haven't taken part in in a long time.

Sasha: Hmm. Well, I guess I'm just gonna have to change that.

Wyatt: I'm not letting you get in my head.

Liam: I'm not trying to.

Wyatt: You know, you won't admit it, but you're just -- you're hoping that I'm gonna fail, like I'll do something to just mess it all up. But you know what? Don't waste your time because Steffy and I are good.

Liam: [Scoffs] Okay.

Wyatt: You know, I told my mother to go away, to create a life somewhere else, and she will. She is no longer gonna be a problem for Steffy and me.

Pam: D-don't touch anything.

Quinn: [Sighs] I see not much has changed since my hiatus.

Pam: You were fired, Quinn.

Quinn: Well, I'm back now. [Chuckles] I can't believe it -- working at Forrester again.

Pam: Don't get ahead of yourself. I'm sure Eric's family is talking some sense into him right now.

Quinn: I know how you feel about me, pam. And I know what Eric means to you. He's your brother-in-law. And you feel protective over him. But there's no reason to protect him. Not from me. He's a wonderful man, and I genuinely care about him.

Eric: I see that you're all disappointed. I know what I'm doing.

Ridge: No, you don't know what you're doing. You're not thinking straight. That woman isn't gonna be part of our company. She's not gonna be a part of your life.

Eric: You think that talking down to me like this, berating me is gonna get you somewhere, ridge?

Steffy: We are saying these things because we care about you.

Rick: We're trying to protect you.

Eric: I have feelings for Quinn. I can handle this.

Steffy: You have no idea what you're getting yourself into!

Rick: Really, dad.

Eric: Now, you two, please, give me some time with ridge alone, please, will you?

Steffy: Maybe let's just --

Eric: I asked you to go. I want you to go now. Please.

Rick: That's fine. I'm tired of talking about it.

Ridge: Did you hear them? That was your family pleading with you.

Eric: It was my family. You want to talk about family, ridge? Okay. I'm all about family. I've tried to support you and your kids for years. I even let you displace your brother and Maya out of the big house, and I encouraged you and Caroline to move in there with that baby of yours. Your son. That you lied about, you claimed was yours. You lied to Thomas about it. You lied to everybody. You lied to me about that. There have been some changes. There have been things that you've done that I've disapproved of. Now I'm doing something that you don't like.

Ridge: What are you saying?

Eric: I want you out of the house. I want you to pack your things. Get out now.

Ridge: You want me to move out of the house?

Eric: You're old enough to run my life, you're old enough to find a house of your own. I want my house back.

Ridge: Fair enough. But, tell me -- Quinn is not moving in. That's -- because that's absurd.

Eric: You can't tell me what do with my life. That's my house. I want to live in it.

Ridge: What am I gonna do with you? You're not making sense. What, did you lose your mind?

Eric: Lose my mind? What am I, some kind of geriatric case to you? Am I a project for you?

Ridge: I don't know who you are anymore. My father wouldn't do this. Not to the family. And not to me.

Eric: Get out. You're dismissed.

Ridge: You're not getting away with this.

Wyatt: Hey. You got my text. Are you okay?

Steffy: I -- I am so furious right now.

Wyatt: Steffy, what happened? What did Eric say?

Steffy: He asked -- he asked me, he asked rick, he asked my father to go into his office...

Wyatt: Yeah.

Steffy: ...And we reiterated how much we didn't want Quinn in his life, that we wanted it to be over.

Wyatt: Well, he already did that -- he ended things. It's over between them.

Steffy: It's not over.

Wyatt: No, Eric broke things off in Monte Carlo. He told me himself.

Steffy: No. Quinn was in my grandfather's office.

Wyatt: What?

Steffy: My grandfather hired her back at Forrester creations.

Quinn: Is the coast clear?

Eric: Yeah, come in. I'm sorry you had to hear all that.

Quinn: Well... you're at odds with your family. It must be taking its toll.

Eric: I stand by my decision.

Quinn: Yes, but they are worried about you. And I don't blame them.

Eric: I don't want their concern. I want their respect. I demand it.

Quinn: And you deserve it. [Chuckles] I -- I can't believe this is all happening. It's so exciting and unexpected. You know, we are going to get the acceptance and the happiness of your family and my son.

Eric: I already have happiness. I'm in charge again. I'm happy and I'm strong. I haven't felt like this in years. Come to the house tonight.

Quinn: But ridge is gonna be there.

Eric: No, no. It's all right. Don't worry about the kids. It'll just be you and me. We'll have dinner. We'll get a little drunk. We'll celebrate your return to Forrester. What do you say? And maybe a surprise.

Quinn: A surprise?

Eric: Yes.

Quinn: Uh, what is it? I'm just -- I'm not used to surprises. At least none that are any good.

Eric: Well, hopefully, you'll think that this is a good surprise.

Quinn: [Chuckles] I can't believe this is happening to me.

Eric: We'll make this a night you'll never forget. How does that sound?

Quinn: It sounds so good.

Steffy: Your mother is targeting my grandfather. She needs to be stopped.
