Wyatt: Nice. Oh, ceviche.
Katie: Do you two need some time for your own private little photo shoot?
Steffy: Oh, no. I-it's part of Wyatt's marketing strategy for Spencer.
Wyatt: Yeah, I'm building a whole social-media platform around my beautiful wife.
Caroline: Uh, details, please.
Wyatt: Spencer Publications needs more brand identification with the younger demographic. So we're going in your face. All about the lifestyle. Steffy's heading it up. We're gonna be active on all outlets.
Katie: Huh. That's a-a good idea. Was it yours?
Wyatt: Yeah. I mean, you know, any chance to work with my hot, sexy wife and make her a bigger star than she already is is fine by me.
Steffy: Oh, the things you do for me.
Wyatt: Yeah. Oh, can you take one of us? Please?
Caroline: Oh, yeah.
Wyatt: We'll do one. Let me get the tray. Let me do the tray.
[Camera shutter clicks]
Caroline: So, I saw Uncle Bill outside, and Thomas is in his way, so that just leaves Liam. Is he coming?
Liam: You don't get to cheat on your wife and then lecture me about integrity and loyalty. Why don't you show me how strong Spencer men should be? Tell your wife the truth.
[Cell phone rings]
Liam: [Scoffs, laughs] Oh-kay.
[Cell phone beeps]
Liam: Yes, Father?
Bill: Where are you?
Liam: Does it matter?
Bill: Your brother and Steffy are throwing a family party, and you're not here.
Liam: Yeah, that's 'cause I'm not coming.
Liam: [Scoffs] Are you -- are you kidding me right now?
Bill: How about you hold off on the judgment, Mr. Eagle Scout? All right? My marriage has been difficult for a while now. But Katie and I will work it out. I told you that. We can't fix things if you say anything about Brooke and me. Now get your butt over here and act like the Spencer you are.
Liam: Now, if I do that, is it the same rule? Respect Steffy and Wyatt's marriage? Kind of like the way you respect your own marriage? Yeah, no thanks.
Bill: Liam –
Thomas: Hey. Hey. I'm heading to the beach. Do you need a ride?
Thomas: To Wyatt and Steffy's. I know -- I'm pretty sure you were invited, right? Yeah.
Brooke: Oh. Right.
Thomas: So, are you going?
Brooke: No. No, I think it's best I sit this one out.
Wyatt: Yes! Tilt it just a little bit.
[Camera shutter clicks]
Wyatt: Whose hat is that?
Steffy: [Laughs] Why?
Bill: All right, l-listen. That's not bad. This will be better.
Steffy: What --
Bill: Here we go, Wyatt. Check that out. Huh?
Wyatt: That's very manly of you.
Bill: Screams me, right?
Bill: How about this one?
[Camera shutter clicks]
Wyatt: Got it.
Bill: Yeah? Can I see it?
Bill: Let me see it.
Wyatt: Yes! Look at that. Check out how many followers you have now.
Steffy: Yes, honey! Look.
Wyatt: I mean, I'm not surprised. I mean, who wouldn't want to follow you?
Steffy: Oh, spoken like my husband.
Bill: Oh, boy.
Steffy: Uh, get -- thanks.
Bill: Dressmaker coming today?
Caroline: Ridge offered to stay home with Douglas.
Bill: Oh, gosh. I am disappointed.
Caroline: I'm sure you are.
Katie: Has anyone heard from Brooke?
Steffy: Uh, no. Not so far.
Katie: I asked her to come. Hope she makes it.
Brooke: Liam. What are you doing? Why aren't you going to the party?
Liam: Not interested. Kind of have a problem with hypocrites. [Sneers] I'm talking about my dad. I can't stand to be around him right now.
Brooke: Your dad?
Liam: I know you two are having an affair.
Wyatt: All right. My official taster.
Steffy: Let's see, here.
Wyatt: Get in there. Huh?
Steffy: Mm! Strong.
Wyatt: Exactly what I like to hear. [Laughs] You want one?
Katie: No, I'm good. Thanks.
Wyatt: Hey, Thomas. What's happening?
Bill: You good?
Katie: Yeah. I have no reason not to be, right?
Bill: None whatsoever.
Katie: I'm glad that we're here together. I love our Spencer clan. You know that, right? How much I love being your wife. Being Mrs. Bill Spencer. I'm glad you haven't let everything that we've been through lately blow it all up.
Bill: Nothing's blowing up.
Katie: Good. I believe you.
Thomas: Ooh, yes. Amen. So, Douglas is in one of the rooms? Where is he?
Caroline: Uh, he stayed home with Ridge.
Thomas: Oh. Why? You absolutely should have brought him here. We totally could have watched him.
Caroline: Yeah. Yeah. It just -- you know, Ridge was really grateful for the time. You're not upset, are you?
Thomas: No. No, no. I just -- I just want to be sure that he knows who his parents are.
Liam: So, I opened the door to this -- this napping room, and, uh, saw the two of you kissing. And meanwhile, by the way, he's married to your sister, who lives in constant fear of this exact thing.
Brooke: I feel awful.
Liam: I don't understand how you could do this to Katie.
Brooke: Liam, it's a complicated situation.
[Cell phone rings]
Brooke: Hi, Katie.
Katie: Um, where are you? We're at Steffy and Wyatt's. I thought you were gonna join us.
Brooke: No, I'm -- I'm not really feeling up to it. Besides, it's a Spencer celebration, and I don't really belong there. It's your family with Bill. So just enjoy. Have a good time.
Katie: Well, it would be fun if you -- you came by.
Brooke: [Sighs] Honey, you'd be distracted, and trying to make sure that I was having fun. Really, I want you to enjoy yourself and have some quality time with your husband and your son. Okay? Don't worry about me. Got to go.
[Cell phone beeps]
Bill: Talking to someone?
Katie: Yeah, Brooke. Um, she was gonna come by, and then she decided not to, I guess.
Katie: Yeah. She sounded kind of off on the phone, like upset about something.
Bill: Well, I'm sure Brooke's fine. I wouldn't worry about her.
Liam: You know, I can see on your face how much this is torturing you. Keeping this huge secret and lying all the time and sneaking around and making lame excuses to Katie, it's -- it's eating away at you.
Brooke: I hate that I betrayed my sister.
Liam: Okay, so come clean. Tell Katie the truth.
Steffy: All right, all right, all right. I just wanted to thank all of you for coming, and being an awesome family.
Caroline: You're one of us now.
Wyatt: Hell yeah she is.
Katie: Wives of Spencer men, party of two.
Wyatt: Well, until Liam brings home a wife of his own. But, you know. Hey, I just want to add my thanks, too. For making our first party as husband and wife such a success. I mean, not to mention our wedding reception.
Thomas: Well, it's all about the guest list, right?
Caroline: He's right.
Caroline: I mean, you can't really go wrong with this bunch, so...
Wyatt: It's true.
Bill: All right. You know, as head of this family, I have, uh, something I would like to say. You know, this is a good-looking crew here. [Katie and Caroline laugh] Caroline. My beautiful, talented niece. The daughter I never had. You came, you conquered, you, uh -- you started your own branch of the Spencer family. I wish you would have done it with someone else, but you chose Ridge. Come on, give me a break, all right? I try my best to be good with this on a daily basis.
Caroline: Yeah, you -- you do good.
Bill: Okay, well, I'll take that. You threw me a bone. That's all right. Wyatt. I couldn't be more proud of you. I admire you, son. You're smart, you're ambitious. The new social-media campaign is a perfect example of that. You have good instincts. Good intuition. And that's why you married this spectacular woman right here. Steffy, you are a brilliant addition to this family, and I'm glad my son had the good sense to marry you. Thomas. I don't know, uh, exactly what the Hell you are to me, but...
Thomas: Fair enough.
Bill: ...so far, I don't mind having you around.
Thomas: Thank you for that.
Bill: You're all pretty -- pretty incredible people. But I wouldn't fully be able to appreciate it, to realize any of this if it wasn't for Katie. You taught me what I didn't know about the importance of family by becoming my wife, giving me our son, showing me the power of a child to bond two people together. We've had our struggles. Or challenges as a -- as a couple, like -- like most people. But the fact remains that we are family in the deepest, most permanent sense of the word.
Brooke: I feel horrible about all of this.
Liam: Well, Katie deserves to know that you and my dad are involved again. What the hell happened, Brooke? It was supposed to be over a long time ago.
Brooke: Yes. It was. That breakup was real.
Liam: Okay, well, something changed.
Brooke: It's all my fault. Katie and Bill were fine. And then I had to open up my mouth and tell him that I love him. And then all of a sudden it was like a runaway train. So if you want to blame somebody, blame me. Don't blame your father.
Liam: Yeah, no, he could have turned you down.
Brooke: No. We tried, Liam. Once we both acknowledged our feelings, those feelings were impossible to ignore.
Liam: So you acted on them.
Brooke: Yes. No.
Liam: Can't be both.
Brooke: We were close. But we weren't intimate. Not like that, anyway.
Liam: Oh. Well, that's something, I guess.
Brooke: I just never should have said anything. Because Katie overheard, and --
Liam: Wait. Wait a second. Katie heard you?
Brooke: Yes. That's when she spun out of control, and she started acting erratically, and started drinking. And then she blamed Bill and me for flirting right in front of her, which we were not doing, and then the next thing you know she's inviting us over to dinner so we can all bond. I mean, it was really very strange. Not that I'm justifying anything.
Liam: Wow. Well... I-I didn't know anything was going on between you and my dad. But I have been spending a lot of time with Katie lately, and I've had, like, a front-row seat to -- to what she's going through, and I can tell you, she thinks she's losing her mind. I mean, 'cause she sees something, right? You know, she -- she knows in her gut that it's there. But you -- you guys keep telling her she's wrong. So you got to think, from Katie's point of view, either -- either, what, she's crazy, or the two people she trusts most in the world are lying to her. Again. I mean, arguably that's -- that's even worse. So you got to stop. You got to stop putting her through this mental torture. 'Cause, for one, y-you're better than this. And two, it's not fair, Brooke. Tell your sister the truth.
Katie: Sorry. Sorry, I'll -- I'll turn it back on in a second. My husband inspired me to say a few words, so... I just want you to know how much I appreciate what you said. That no matter what struggles we have had, our marriage will endure. Marriage is about surviving the bad times so that we can appreciate and savor the good times. And we're survivors. You and me. We all are, actually. Everyone in this room. You know, Spencers are strong. Especially with someone like you to show us the way. Bill says that I-I taught him about family, but [Sighs] he teaches me every day about love and faithfulness and compassion. I know I'm lucky -- We all are. [Chuckles] -- to be surrounded by so much love. And I just want you to know how much I value this. Our family. You and Will and everyone in this room. Brooke. I haven't said it enough lately. So I want to say it now. I love you.
Brooke: I hear what you're saying, and I'd agree, but maybe there's no reason to tell her anything. Bill and I are over.
Liam: Brooke, Katie deserves to know that her suspicions weren't just paranoia. I mean, 'cause even -- okay. Even if it was purely emotional and nothing else, the affair between you and my dad is still real. And you know what that means? That means Katie's right. She deserves to not apologize anymore. She -- she needs to not feel guilty anymore.
Brooke: I don't disagree, Liam, but is it really worth sending her into a tailspin when it is over?
Liam: This what I'm telling you. She's already there, Brooke. I mean, the -- the woman is constantly questioning her own sanity, her own judgment. I mean, it -- [Sighs] I get that you're concerned about her reaction, but, respectfully, maybe you and my dad should have thought about that before you fired it up again.
Brooke: We did. Katie was the first thing we thought about.
Liam: Fine. But it didn't stop you.
Liam: Look, I -- [Sighs] Brooke, what's done can't be undone, but you -- you can make it right. Katie's in a really precarious place right now. She needs -- she needs to be on firm emotional ground again. And you can -- you can give that to her just by telling her the truth. I mean, you said yourself it's over between you and my dad, right?
Brooke: Yes, it is.
Liam: Okay, great. Tell her that. Make her believe that. Because, Brooke, I'm telling you, she's your sister, she wants to believe you. It's just -- it's just got to be true this time. It's just got to be true. 'Cause [Sighs] one more betrayal, one more inner doubt or question about you and my dad, and I'm worried it's gonna put her over the edge.
[Cell phone rings]
Liam: My dad?
[Cell phone beeps]
Brooke: What is it, Bill?
Bill: Katie wishes you were here.
Brooke: I already told her I'm not coming.
Bill: You sound upset. Is something going on I should know about?
Brooke: Liam's here. And we've been talking.
Bill: I assume you know he knows about us.
Brooke: Yes. You can't keep calling me any time you want.
Bill: Let me talk to Liam.
Brooke: I'm hanging up.
Bill: No, no, no. Brooke, wait. Don't let Liam talk you into doing something crazy. I will get him in line. Okay, Brooke?
Katie: Bill? Who's on the phone?
Bill: Oh, uh, nothing. Just, uh, the office. What's wrong?
Katie: I heard you say Brooke. So, which was it? The office... or my sister?
