Episode # 7347 ~ Steffy unleashes her anger and resentment on Quinn; Caroline begins to unravel from the weight of the secrets she's been keeping.

Brooke: Thomas...

Bill: Yes. Thomas is that little boy's father, not Ridge.

Brooke: Oh, God. I don't believe it.

Bill: Look, Brooke, I-I... I shouldn't even be telling you any of this. But it's the answer you're looking for to keep Rick from leaving town. This could change everything at Forrester. Thomas is Douglas' father. Ridge is a fraud. He's living a lie.

Ridge: So we're all in agreement. We're gonna do what's best for Douglas.

Caroline: Because if the secret of Douglas' paternity ever got out...

Ridge: He'd be scarred for the rest of his life. And this company doesn't need another scandal. So the four of us, we need to agree that no one else finds out about that. Is that understood?

Quinn: Steffy. How are you? H-how is your husband? I miss spending time with the both of you.

Steffy: Wyatt's fine. I'm not. Because of you.

Quinn: Oh, honey --

Steffy: No, don't you "honey" me. I'm not your friend.

Quinn: But you are my daughter-in-law.

Steffy: Yes, I made a commitment to your son. But Liam's right. You have completely altered my life, and I am never gonna forgive you for that.

Quinn: You do realize that I nursed Liam back to health. I helped him in his recovery.

Steffy: He hasn't recovered. Neither have I. Or your son. After what you've done...

Quinn: What I've done is I have given you a wonderful husband.

Liam: That husband should have been me. And it would have been me if it weren't for you.

Quinn: That's not true. Is it?

Ridge: Thank you.

Katie: Uh, yeah. I'm -- I'm gonna head home.

Ridge: You were pushing for the truth. And Thomas has it now. But no one else can find out, so I-I need to hear it. I need a commitment from you.

Katie: Yeah, of course. Uh, from this moment forward, I won't tell a soul.

Brooke: [Sighs] I'm just having so much trouble with this.

Bill: Rick is on the verge of leaving town and Forrester. This puts a stop to it.

Brooke: If it's true, yes. But I can't see Ridge doing something like this. Raising his son's child as his own?

Bill: It's crazy. I know that. But he's desperate.

Brooke: Desperate for what?

Bill: To hold onto his marriage, his job, the company.

Brooke: And Thomas knows about this? He's going along with it?

Bill: No, like Caroline, I don't think Thomas really had much of a choice. This is Ridge at his worst. Bullying. Intimidating. Pulling no punches.

Brooke: How did you find out about it?

Bill: Katie.

Quinn: I know you, Steffy. You never would have married Wyatt if you didn't love him as much as he loves you. Isn't that right?

Steffy: This isn't about Wyatt. Are you not hearing us? This is about Liam. The train wreck you made of his life.

Quinn: No, no, no, no, no. See, I gave Liam all of me. I-I-I-I took care of him. I brought him back from this horrible concussion. And you might not want to admit this, but we did -- we did discover something together. We -- we found love. You may not be ready to call it that again --

Liam: Call it that? I'll never call it that, Quinn, 'cause it wasn't love. It was obsession. You were obsessed. And you still are.

Quinn: And you?

Liam: Me? I -- [Sighs] I was -- I was dependant, I was incapacitated, and you took advantage of that. You knew Steffy was the one I wanted, and you kept her from me. And on top of that, you made her believe that I didn't want her anymore. And you don't see the cruelty in that? Really?

Steffy: No, she doesn't. Cruelty has always been her trademark. You belong in prison, where you can't hurt anyone. Now go. Get out of here and never come back.

Thomas: Hey. How's Douglas?

Caroline: [Sighs] Resting peacefully.

Ridge: Unlike Katie.

Caroline: [Scoffs] You noticed that too, huh?

Thomas: I know you guys are worried she might tell Bill. She's not going to. She told me she wouldn't. I-I believe her. She doesn't want a scandal any more than we do.

Caroline: I wish I could say the same for my uncle. But...if he even gets a sniff --

Ridge: Well, we don't have a choice. We have to trust the fact that she's gonna keep our secret.

Brooke: So, Katie pulls it out of Caroline, and gets Ridge to come clean with his son, and then what? They raise the child together? Just sounds strange to me.

Bill: Ridge had a vasectomy, right?

Brooke: Yes, and then he had it reversed.

Bill: Wouldn't you know, the doctor who was treating him happened to die in a bizarre accident.

Brooke: What are you getting at?

Bill: What if the vasectomy wasn't reversible? And only the doctor and Ridge knew about it?

Brooke: Are you suggesting that Ridge had something to do with the doctor's death?

Bill: Well, I don't want to go that far. Yet.

Brooke: Ever. That is ridiculous. What about your wife?

Bill: She wanted me to keep quiet about this. I promised her I wouldn't tell anyone.

Brooke: You can't betray her confidence. You already have with me.

Bill: I didn't intend to, Brooke. Then I saw you like this. Look, uh... you know, I've never been Rick's biggest fan, but I know how important it is to you to have your son and his family living in your home.

Brooke: Probably not for much longer.

Bill: Doesn't have to be that way. Not if Eric finds out about this, and the public.

Brooke: I just can't fathom that Ridge would do something like this, especially with his own son.

Bill: I know you have a soft spot for the guy. But he's out of control, Brooke. He's power-crazed. Look how he holds the C.E.O. Position over your son's head.

Brooke: I do appreciate what you're trying to do, to help me keep my family together.

Bill: My family too, Brooke. I mean, Caroline has to be going through hell over this. Does Ridge give a damn? No. He only cares about his, uh, dictatorial control over everyone. Most importantly, my niece. Listen, the repercussions from this are significant for everyone involved. Including you and Rick. I just want you to be happy. That's why I had to tell you.

Katie: What's going on? What did you tell her?

Ridge: Spencer can't find out.

Thomas: Yeah, I mean, that guy's been gunning for you ever since you got back from Paris.

Caroline: All these secrets. And now there's four of us that w he

Ridge: Spencer can't find out.

Thomas: Yeah, I mean, that guy's been gunning for you ever since you got back from Paris.

Caroline: All these secrets. And now there's four of us that know. Do you really believe that no one else is going to find out?

Ridge: Yeah. No, I believe that. I-I -- I think we're gonna be fine. And, Bill, he's too busy with Wyatt and Liam, and I just have to trust Katie. It's gonna be fine.

Katie: So, what were you two talking about? I mean, it looks like it must have been [Sighs] Pretty intense.

Bill: Her son is leaving town. With his wife and baby.

Katie: Wow. Really? That's -- that's sudden. I'm sorry. That must be tough.

Brooke: Yeah. I don't want him to go.

Katie: Is Ridge sending him to Europe?

Brooke: No. [Sighs] Rick is quitting. He just is continuously disrespected by Ridge, so...

Bill: Rick should be running Forrester. And he would be. If Ridge were to step down.

Katie: Or be pushed aside. What did you say to Brooke about all this? You told her, didn't you?

Bill: It could keep her son from leaving town, Katie. She's your sister.

Katie: And I am your wife. I confided in you, and you promised me that it would stay between us.

Bill: This is different. We're talking about your nephew. It's not a big deal.

Katie: Oh, it's no big deal. Betraying my confidence, it's -- it's not a big deal. Betraying my trust. Again. With my sister of all people. That's no big deal.

Quinn: Steffy, please don't talk to me that way.

Steffy: Is that a threat?

Quinn: No. I'm not like that anymore. I would never hurt you. You're my family.

Steffy: You hurt Liam.

Quinn: I never meant you any harm. You need to know that by now.

Liam: Of course you hurt me. You took away the one person that means more to me than anything else in my life. How can you possibly expect me to love you? Or even like you? You -- you used me to manipulate Wyatt and Steffy.

Quinn: Yeah, but they're happy together. You've seen them. They adore each other.

Steffy: Quinn, enough. You may be my mother-in-law, but that doesn't mean I have to like you or have anything to do with you.

Quinn: But you and Wyatt wouldn't even be together if it weren't for me. I mean, that has to count for something.

Steffy: Just stop! Stop! Don't you get it? What you did was disgusting.

Quinn: What I did was give you the man you're gonna spend the rest of your life with. It might not have happened otherwise.

Liam: It shouldn't have happened. And it wouldn't have happened. I would be married to Steffy right now if it weren't for you. Just get out, please. Get out. I mean it, Quinn. If you ever come through that door again, I... stay away.

Quinn: Then this is... this is truly goodbye?

Liam: Yep. Don't.

Steffy: That was exhausting.

Liam: Yeah. I'm sorry you had to hear all that. Actually, no, I'm not. At least you heard what I said about you. How much you mean to me. How much I love you.

Steffy: Liam... I suffered the trauma of losing our baby. Losing you to hope. You disappearing on me. And as much as I love you, I've made a commitment to Wyatt.

Liam: Yeah, but that's just another result of Quinn manipulating. Steffy, it's -- it is not over between us.

Steffy: Yeah, it'd be great if it were that simple. But it's not.

Liam: [Sighs] Okay.

Steffy: Not -- not right now. Not for me.

Liam: You tell me. You tell me, what am I supposed to do? Am I supposed to respect this marriage under these circumstances?

Steffy: I don't know. I don't know how to answer that. But the thought of hurting Wyatt, I-I --

Liam: I don't want that. I love my brother. And I -- [Sighs] I know that you love him, too. But, Steffy, being in this place with you, where every room is so full of memories... all I want to do is reach out... and touch you. And hold you. And love you. I am not giving up on us. And I am not letting you get away from me again.

Ridge: No, listen. Both of you. Katie is not gonna be a problem. No one is. It's -- it's just time that we focus on that little boy up there, and give him a good life. A good life surrounded by people that love him. Can we do that?

Brooke: Is it true, Katie? Douglas isn't Ridge's son?

Katie: Yes. I've heard it from Caroline and Ridge and Thomas. I was just with them.

Brooke: [Sighs] I can't believe it.

Katie: Yeah. And I can't believe you. I'm so disappointed. Makes me think, like, there's nothing I can say to you that won't end up in Brooke's ears.

Bill: Oh, come on, Katie! Ridge is out of control. He's got to be freaking stopped.

Katie: That is not the point. This is about a promise that you made to me, your wife. There is no excuse for violating that promise.

Bill: Why are you so intent on keeping a secret for a guy who is using, abusing, and manipulating everyone around him? Most importantly, my niece?

Katie: Are -- are you not seeing this on purpose? Because you don't want to? Or do you truly not understand the concept of intimacy between a husband and a wife? What Ridge is doing is Ridge's business.

Bill: Not anymore.

Katie: I confided in you. Because I'm supposed to be able to trust you because you are my husband. And once again, you betray my trust with my sister.

Brooke: Wait a minute. I'm losing my family over this. My son, my granddaughter, my daughter-in-law --

Katie: There is nothing you can say to justify his behavior, Brooke, so don't even try it.

Bill: Once Eric finds out about this, it could change everything at Forrester, and her son won't have to leave town.

Katie: And there it is.

Bill: There's what?

Katie: You're doing it for her.

Bill: I am doing it for Caroline and Douglas and your nephew, Rick. And, you know what, for all of us. 'Cause once you know a fraud is being committed, Katie, and you do nothing about it, that makes everybody complicit.

Katie: You are so transparent.

Bill: Come on.

Katie: And yet you think that I can't see it. You think I'm stupid.

Bill: I don't think you're stupid.

Katie: You must, or you must not care. This has nothing to do with Rick or Caroline. You are rescuing her. It has everything to do with my sister. It always has to do with my sister.

Brooke: That's not true, Katie. I don't need to be rescued. I need to keep my family together. That's all that I have now.

Katie: And who better to help you than your knight in shining armor? You have put my life under a microscope. My drinking, my depression. "Katie's overreacting." And it's all filtered through Brooke. And I have tried. I have tried so hard to tolerate that, to live with it. But we have this intimate conversation where I confide something in you... as my husband, and I ask you to not tell anyone about that, and you can't do it. You can't do it. She needs something, and you can't wait to give it to her. She takes priority over anything that we share. And that is how you hurt me the most.
