Wyatt: You seriously think I should be working at Spencer?

Quinn: It's your birthright.

Wyatt: Certainly more opportunities to advance in a company with your name on it.

Quinn: Exactly. Working with your father. Now that Liam has abdicated his throne, Spencer Publications could easily be yours someday if you position yourself correctly.

Liam: Eve?

Quinn: Uh, hey, I've got another call coming in. Think about what I said, okay?

Katie: Hey. Ohh. I know that look. Did you have to fire someone? Did we have to let Alison go? Well, she will be missed. What's going on? Who screwed up?

Bill: You're partially right. Someone's making a huge mistake. But I can't fix it by firing them.

Katie: [Sighs] Is this about Wyatt? You're upset with him for proposing to Steffy?

Bill: No. It's Liam. He's the problem.

Ridge: Congratulations. I'm happy for you.

Steffy: You aren't just saying that, are you?

Ridge: I'm happy if you're happy.

Steffy: [Chuckles]

Ridge: Wyatt seems like a good guy, and you guys are good together, so... can I ask you something?

Steffy: Yeah.

Ridge: If Liam walked through that door right now with an explanation, with an apology... what would you do? Would you still be wearing Wyatt's ring?

Katie: What about Liam? Did you hear from him?

Bill: Oh, no, no. I mean, he couldn't be bothered to answer his phone. It's why I had to leave him a message about the engagement.

Katie: [Sighs] Do you really think that was wise?

Bill: He needed to know.

Katie: I thought you were going to support Wyatt.

Bill: I do. Even more so now. Liam texted back.

Katie: What did he say?

Bill: He said that he is too busy, uh, finding himself to care about Steffy or work or... or any of us.

Steffy: Liam's not coming home anytime soon, and if he did, I highly doubt it would be for me.

Ridge: So you're letting him go. After everything you've been through, you're just gonna give up?

Steffy: He gave up, not me. And it really hurt, but Wyatt is helping me through it. If you think I'm just settling, if I'm just with Wyatt because Liam's not around, you're wrong. I deserve to be with a man that I can count on.

Wyatt: I agree.

Quinn: Hey, I thought you were sleeping.

Liam: I -- yeah, I'm trying to, but... [Sighs] This headache's getting worse. Do we have, uh, medicine or something?

Quinn: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll get it for you.

Liam: Okay. Hey, did I hear you on the phone?

Quinn: Um, yeah. I was talking to a coworker who just got engaged. I was telling him how happy I am for him and, you know, giving him a little advice.

Liam: Well, if he's smart, he'll take it.

Quinn: Okay. He usually does. Here.

Liam: Oh, thank you.

[Knock on door]

Liam: Are you expecting someone?

Quinn: Uh, no. I'm not. Probably a salesman. But if it's somebody that you know, I promise you I'll come and get you, okay?

Liam: Okay.

Quinn: All right. Please get back to bed.

Liam: Okay. [Sighs]

Quinn: There you go. Okay.

Liam: Okay. [Sighs]

[Rain pattering]

Quinn: Rest. What do you want?

Deacon: I want to get paid. Got your doctored photos here of all your beautiful moments from your life with Liam.

Katie: Listen, I know that it's difficult not to take Liam's text personally, but you have to try. He obviously has big things to work through.

Bill: Big enough to give his entire life over to Wyatt?

Katie: Maybe it's not the life he wants.

Bill: [Sighs] Maybe Quinn was right all along.

Katie: [Chuckles] Whoa. You have, like, a fever? Are you feeling okay? Right about what?

Bill: Maybe I overlooked Wyatt for too long.

Ridge: So, you thought you could propose to my daughter without asking me?

Steffy: He's -- he's -- he's joking. Right?

Wyatt: You know what? I-I-I will ask you. Because it's important to me to know that you're 100% on board with this decision. And I want to make sure that you understand how much I care about your daughter. Like, I-I will treat her better than any man has ever treated her. And she can always count on me.

Ridge: I'm just messing with you. You didn't have to ask me.

Wyatt: Oh, come on.

Ridge: I just want to make sure that you stand by your words.

Wyatt: Done.

Ridge: Congratulations.

Wyatt: Okay, I-I-I didn't think I was gonna be sweating this much.

Steffy: Yeah, he has that effect on people.

Wyatt: Yeah. Uh, but it went well, though, right?

Steffy: It did. It did. So, did you tell your parents? Was your mom shocked?

Wyatt: Actually, uh, no. She, uh, she wasn't surprised at all.

Deacon: So, where's Liam?

Quinn: Keep your voice down. Just give me the albums and go.

Deacon: You know, you can relax. You don't have to be so nervous. I mean, it doesn't matter if Liam hears us. He doesn't know who I am. He could come out here right now and chit chat with us and, you know, like you said, the guy doesn't remember squat.

Quinn: His name is Adam.

Deacon: Oh, Adam.

Quinn: Okay? That's his name. See? I can't trust you not to slip up, so yeah, it matters. You might say something or he might hear something in your voice that stirs his memory, and I can't have that happening, not now when everything is going so well.

Deacon: Wait, wait, wait, wait. Something happen?

Quinn: Wyatt and Steffy are engaged.

Deacon: Seriously?

Quinn: Mm-hmm.

Deacon: Your crazy plan's actually working?

Quinn: For now.

Deacon: Okay, so that's why you're dressed all...

Quinn: Shhh!

Deacon: Like, what is this? This is weird. It's like something Pam would wear.

Quinn: No, it's not.

Deacon: Yeah, it is. Like, all colorful and...

Quinn: So what? So I put a little color in my life. I'm not the same woman I was when I was shackled to you.

Deacon: Oh, oh, no, right. Yeah, 'cause now you're Eve.

Quinn: Yes. I am playing the part of the doting wife. Stop criticizing me.

Deacon: I'm not criticizing. Matter of fact, I'm actually impressed. I mean, you have no idea how much I wish Liam would come shuffling out here right now so I can see you in action. I could actually see what it would look like. He'd come out here with those -- those puppy dog eyes and his lips all pursed, whispering sweet nothings to you, saying those three little words. Come on. Tell me, Quinn. Has he said it yet? Has he told you he loves you?

Quinn: He said the words.

Deacon: Oh, my God! If he only knew! How would you even keep a straight face? I mean, how do you keep your stomach from turning? How do you avoid saying it to him? Oh. Oh, you don't avoid it. Quinn, that's so sweet. Aww. You told Liam you wuv him.

Bill: I devoted a lot of time and energy to training Liam, to teaching him about this business. And he's talented. I mean, I'm not always sure that he has the cojones, but he does have the brains, and he's proven that time and time again. And now all of a sudden he's just poof, gone.

Katie: Not forever.

Bill: We don't know that, Katie. All I know is that Wyatt is here. And maybe Liam's suggestion is a good one. Maybe it's time to get Wyatt away from Forrester and bring him in to the family company.

Steffy: Your mom wasn't surprised?

Wyatt: No. She said she always believed we'd be together.

Steffy: But she's happy, right?

Wyatt: Yeah. Oh, yeah. She's -- she's thrilled.

Steffy: Good. I didn't want to have any mother-in-law drama.

Wyatt: [Chuckles] Well, no, I can't promise anything 'cause you know how she can be.

Steffy: We work well together. I think we'd be great in-laws.

Wyatt: Yeah. Um, speaking of work...

Steffy: Mm-hmm?

Wyatt: She, uh, she kind of suggested something to me today.

Steffy: Okay. What?

Wyatt: Well, now that Liam's gone, she thinks I should be working at Spencer, because it's -- it's my birthright.

Deacon: Couple weeks playing nurse, and you're already throwing around the "L" word with Liam?

Quinn: Stop making fun of me.

Deacon: I'm not. I mean, you know, as long as you don't mean it. Do you? I mean, you've denied it before, but...

Quinn: Of course, I don't mean it. It's all part of the game. Wyatt needs some time with Steffy, and I'm doing whatever it is I have to do.

Deacon: And you're telling me that there's not even a teensy, weensy, little part of you that's maybe starting to fall for him?

Quinn: Don't be stupid.

Deacon: I don't know. You know, last time I was here, you were talking about your feelings and saying how it didn't matter if, uh, if he remembered.

Quinn: Well, you misunderstood. You really think I could fall for him?

Deacon: No. You like a man who knows how to make a decision. Liam hems and haws too much for you. He's not your kind of guy.

Quinn: Exactly.

Deacon: You like a guy --

Quinn: No, don't touch me.

Deacon: You know what? You hate that guy so much, probably be the ultimate turn-on for you.

Quinn: Don't be ridiculous. I'm just using him. And when this job is done, when Wyatt and Steffy are married, I'll be more than happy to be rid of him.

Deacon: Yeah, but the thing is, how do you know when enough time's gone by? I mean, marriages -- they can be annulled, right? But, you know, if Steffy figures out why Liam stayed away...

Quinn: Well, she can't. She can't see him. He can never see her again.

Deacon: How do you plan on preventing that?

Quinn: I don't know. He might have to disappear for good.

Deacon: Kind of like the Hope Diamond guy. Ricardo Montemayor? See, now, there's the Quinn that I know. Thought you were going soft on me for a minute.

Quinn: Over a guy like Liam? Please.

Deacon: I don't know, you know. I mean, uh, the way you've been talking lately...

Quinn: You know what? It might seem like feelings are starting to build or whatever, but that just shows you how much time I've invested in this. I haven't been able to break character, not at all. I have to pretend to be that man's wife for 24 hours a day, all the time. I can't take the chance of him figuring this out too soon. So yes. Moments are...created.

Deacon: "Moments"?

Quinn: He's a blank slate. He doesn't know a thing about me. So I get to talk to him and open up in ways I've never been able to with any other man I've ever met. He has no preconceived notions about me. He has no judgment. The way he listens... I can see why women would fall in love with him. I mean, women who like that sappy kind of stuff, like -- like Hope and Ivy and Steffy, but not me. Definitely not me.

Deacon: Maybe you do. Maybe you're just realizing it now.

Katie: Listen, I think it would be great to have Wyatt here, and I would certainly welcome the help, but this is a big decision, so maybe you should think about it.

Bill: I need a son I can count on. And Wyatt's here. He hasn't received enough of my attention, because I didn't think he had what it took to be my right hand given who his mother is. And that whackjob has had way too much influence over him for most of his life. But Wyatt is very much my son. He takes charge. He steps up. He's a Spencer. And he belongs here.

Steffy: It makes sense that you want to be part of your family company. Just one problem. I still want to see my husband-to-be at work.

Wyatt: [Chuckles] Look, I-I value my position here.

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Wyatt: And I really do enjoy the work. But there is a part of me that's always wondered what it would be like to work for my dad and learn the family business. I mean, like, Liam's gone and... he didn't just leave you. He left my dad, and he left the company and -- and now maybe I have a chance to -- [Sighs] I don't know.

Steffy: As president of Forrester Creations, I absolutely forbid you jumping ship. But as my fiancÚ... I say go for it. Yeah. Yeah, the -- the timing is right, and -- and like you said, Liam's gone. Who knows if he'll ever come back.

Wyatt: [Chuckles]

[Rain pattering]

Quinn: I hope you didn't take all of the turkey. I was saving that.

Deacon: For who? Captain veggie burger?

Quinn: Shh! Adam likes it.

Deacon: [Chuckles] Oh, man. You're really diabolical. I mean, stealing the guy's girlfriend -- that's terrible. But forcing him to eat meat? [Clicking tongue]

Quinn: [Sighs] Thank you for the pictures. Here's your money.

Deacon: You know, I was thinking, Pam probably has a meat loaf recipe or something you should try.

Quinn: Shh. You can go now.

Deacon: Well, if you need any more photo doctoring...

Quinn: Go.

Deacon: You know, you probably are gonna have to do it. I mean, this only ends one way. Steffy dumps Wyatt and you -- [Chuckles] You wind up in jail.

Quinn: Well, he may not remember.

Deacon: What are you gonna do? You gonna keep him locked in there for good? What about Wyatt, huh? You gonna ban him from coming over here? Are you just gonna lock Liam up in his room every time he does? I mean, this can't go on much longer.

Quinn: Actually, Wyatt has been here, and he hasn't noticed anything. And I've been able to keep Bill and Steffy at bay with texting, so it's working.

Deacon: Yeah, but sooner or later, they're gonna want to hear his voice.

Quinn: Steffy already has heard his voice. I had Liam leave her a message saying to stop calling.

Deacon: How the hell did you manage to do that?

Quinn: I told him I was getting prank calls. He may not have a memory, but his hero instinct is still intact.

Deacon: This is a disaster waiting to happen, okay? This cannot keep going on like this.

Quinn: You know what? I don't know what the endgame is. I just know that Wyatt deserves to be happy. With Liam out of the way, he gets a chance to shine. He gets to show Steffy that he's the right man for her. He gets to show his father what he can do for the family company. And none of that's gonna happen with Liam in the picture.

Deacon: But that all goes away if Liam comes back.

Quinn: Okay, so fine. So maybe he doesn't come back ever. Maybe -- maybe I have to do what you said earlier, okay? Maybe I'm just gonna have to kill him, okay? Just get out. Now. Go! Don't come back.

Deacon: You know what? I'm not planning on it. Because I don't want to be anywhere near this when it hits the fan. On second thought, actually, I'd like to be a little bit near it, because this is one train wreck that I can't stop watching.

[Birds cawing]

Liam: Hey. Eve? Eve?

Quinn: Uh, I'm coming!

[Rain pattering]

Quinn: What's the matter?

Liam: Uh, it's the headache. It's worse. Uh, it's, like -- it's, like, pounding.

Quinn: Oh. It's okay. It's okay. Everything will be all right. Maybe I have to do what you said earlier, okay? Maybe I'm just gonna have to kill him.

Liam: Hey, look at that. Feeling better already. [Chuckles]

Quinn: [Echoing] Maybe I'm just gonna have to kill him... I'm just gonna have to kill him... I'm just gonna have to kill him... maybe I'm just gonna have to kill him.
