Liam: [Sighs]

[Liam’s flashback]

Ivy: I don't want to regret not telling you the truth. Liam, I can't forget what it's like to be with you. I can't forget about these feelings.

[Present time]

[Door opens]

Steffy: [Sighs] I will never take this office for granted again. It was awful thinking I couldn't be in here.

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: [Sighs] Someone's far off. What's going on?

Liam: No. [Chuckles] Nothing. I'm just, uh... thinking about Ivy and Wyatt.

[Ivy’s flashback]

Ivy: If you marry Steffy, I'll be happy with Wyatt. But shouldn't we at least explore our possibilities first and make sure we haven't made a huge mistake? I mean, can't we just have some time together?

[Present time]

Ivy: Oh! Hey! Mm. Mm. That's nice. What's that for?

Wyatt: Well, I supply the mistletoe, and you supply the Ivy.

Ivy: Oh! Very funny. Never heard that before. What am I gonna do with you?

Wyatt: [Chuckling] I don't know. Mm. [Chuckles]

Maya: Did you really make this in preschool?

Rick: There's a reason I'm not a designer.

Maya: I think it's cute!

Rick: Yeah, yeah. Just put it near the back of the tree somewhere. Make sure it's up there, though, because you'll hear it from my dad. [Chuckles] You know, I was thinking. Why don't we involve your parents in our holiday plans?

[Julius’ flashback]

Sasha: Don't like that, Mr. Avant? Should I call you something else? Do you want me to call you what you really are? Daddy?

[Present time]

[Door opens]

Vivienne: Whoo! It was crazy out there.

Julius: [Chuckles] Well, I told you it would be.

Vivienne: Yeah, but I just wanted to get a few more things. Oh! How you like this?

Julius: That's fine, darling. Whatever you say.

Vivienne: Oh. You don't have a lot of holiday spirit, huh? You okay?

Julius: Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I mean, just 'cause I'm not whistling "deck the halls" doesn't mean I'm not happy. [Chuckles]

Vivienne: Don't even try that with me, Julius. I know you too well. You got some weight on your shoulder. Is it one of your daughters?

Sasha: Is that the best you got?

Zende: Nope. The best I've got's standing right next to you.

Nicole: Aww.

Zende: Come here.

Nicole: Thanks, babe.

Sasha: You're looking good.

Zende: Well, you know, I'm working on it. [Chuckles]

Nicole: And he means all the time. If Zende and Carter aren't around, I know exactly where to find them.

Sasha: Man, you know, people back home just are not gonna believe this.

Nicole: [Chuckles]

Sasha: Nicole Avant living this life. There's Forresters to the left, to the right, growing inside.

Nicole: Yeah. Sometimes I can't believe it myself.

Sasha: Well, I hope you're savoring every single moment. You got yourself a good roll going here, but, you know, unfortunately, rolls don't last forever. So you got to appreciate them while they're happening.

Nicole: Yeah, she's the cynic. I'm the optimist. [Chuckles] I'm gonna be so sad when you leave, girl.

Sasha: Ouch. Are you trying to tell me something?

Nicole: Of course not. I'd love it if you moved here permanently, but I just assumed you'd want to spend the holidays with your family.

Sasha: You know, actually, I've been thinking I want to spend them right here.

Maya: I hope one day things won't be so complicated. As far as my dad and I have to go, I-I think that being together, as tough as it can be, is what's best for everybody, like at Thanksgiving.

Rick: Yeah. I was hoping you'd say that. Things will keep progressing as long as we keep working at it. So why don't we invite them over? We'll extend the invitation in person.

Maya: Okay.

Vivienne: So, which one of your daughters is so heavy on your mind?

[Cell phone rings]

Julius: Hey. Something wrong?

Maya: Why would you say that?

Julius: Well, you usually call your mother's phone.

Maya: Well, I'm calling you. Can you guys come over? Now, if possible?

Julius: Yeah, sure. Yeah, we're on our way.

Vivienne: What?

Julius: Maya wants us to come over to the house.

Vivienne: Did she say why?

Julius: I guess we'll find out when we get there.

Ivy: [Laughs]

Wyatt: [Chuckles]

Ivy: What?

Wyatt: Nothing. You're just... you're something. You know that?

Ivy: Oh, really?

Wyatt: You were devastated, literally knocked off your feet, and somehow you found a way to do the right thing.

Ivy: You're talking about the restraining order.

Wyatt: Mm-hmm.

Ivy: Mm-hmm.

Wyatt: And I'm glad you dropped it, you know? And your relationship with Steffy, you're giving it another chance. I think that's good.

Ivy: Yeah, well, we're family, right? I have to make the effort because that ain't gonna change.

Wyatt: No. [Chuckles] And, you know, maybe we all will -- you, me, Steffy, Liam. It'd be nice if we could all just -- all just get along.

Ivy: Yeah.

Liam: You get me anything?

Steffy: Maybe. You're changing the subject.

Liam: So are you.

Steffy: You said you were thinking about Wyatt and Ivy. Something happen I don't know about?

Nicole: Seriously? You're gonna stay through the holidays?

Sasha: Let's just say I haven't completely ruled it out. I mean, unless you don't want me to.

Nicole: Are you kidding? I would love it.

Sasha: Cool. Okay.

[Cell phone chimes]

Nicole: Oh. Maya wants me home.

Sasha: Oh, well, then I'll just, um, hang out here until you get back.

Nicole: You, too, babe. Um, why don't you come with us?

Sasha: Are -- are you sure that's okay?

Nicole: I don't see why not.

Sasha: Great.

Zende: Okay. Well, let's go see what's up.

Nicole: Yeah.

Liam: Hey, has Ivy seemed, uh, I don't know, different to you?

Steffy: Is that a trick question?

Liam: No. No, it's just ever since the accident --

Steffy: I'm withholding judgment. Hoping to turn a new leaf with Ivy.

Liam: Yeah. Well, that's the thing.

Wyatt: [Clears throat] You guys got a minute?

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, sure.

Wyatt: Uh, we just need you to sign off on these pieces we talked about. We think they turned out pretty well.

Steffy: Oh, wow. Wow. Yeah. They're gorgeous.

Ivy: Yeah, well, Quinn and I would like to start production on those as soon as possible.

Wyatt: Ridge and Caroline aren't here?

Steffy: No, but I'm sure they'll approve. And if we need changes, then we'll deal.

Wyatt: Excellent.

Ivy: Cool. Great. Well, I'll tell Quinn.

Steffy: Hey, Ivy, I'm really happy you're back.

Ivy: Oh, yeah, thanks. Me, too.

Steffy: I know I've said this before, but, um, it bears repeating. I'm really glad that you're back and you're okay and you've been gracious enough to put this horrible accident behind us.

Ivy: Steffy, I've told you, you do not have to keep apologizing to me.

Wyatt: Yeah, we can keep moving forward together. It's a good thing.

Liam: Yeah.

Ivy: Mm-hmm.

Liam: Yeah. No point in dwelling on the past.

Ivy: Well, when it comes to Steffy and I now, I 100% agree.

Steffy: I know it wasn't easy for us at the beginning. You know, we had a rocky start when I got back from Paris, and it kind of went down from that. But we're close, and we're family, all four of us, so... maybe we can take advantage of the holiday spirit to make that happen.

Ivy: Well, I'm willing to try.

Vivienne: Wow! Wow, the house is so beautiful.

Rick: All the credit goes to Maya.

Maya: Nicole, too. All of us, really.

Julius: You know, I don't think I'm ever gonna get used to it.

Maya: What's that?

Julius: Celebrating the holidays, uh, and it being 70 degrees outside and me not shoveling snow.

Vivienne: Oh.

Julius: I got to tell you, I love it. [Laughs]

Rick: I'm glad you brought that up. I mean, the holiday part.

Julius: Hey, listen, Rick, I know where you're going with this, and -- and we're fine. I mean, Vivienne and I really enjoyed ourselves at Thanksgiving, and we're not expecting a repeat invitation for the Christmas holidays. Maya, you got a new family. Your first Forrester Christmas. So enjoy it. Your mother and I will be just fine.

Vivienne: Yeah, don't give us another thought. [Laughs]

Maya: Mom, of course we want you to be here.

Rick: Actually, we don't.

Maya: Rick!

Rick: I was gonna wait until Nicole and Zende got here, but as you can tell, the secret is dying to come out. We've made arrangements. We're spending Christmas in Hawaii.

Julius: Oh.

Vivienne: Oh!

Julius: Congratulations. I'm happy for you guys.

Rick: Well, not just Maya and me. You and Vivienne and Nicole and Zende. We're all going!

Vivienne: Wait. What?

Julius: Hawaii?

Maya: That's real? I can't believe you. [Laughs]

Rick: I think we should spend the holidays all together.

Maya: Oh, thank you. Thank you. Please say you'll come.

Julius: Is this what you want?

Maya: Very much.

Rick: Have you ever been to Hawaii?

Vivienne: Many times. In my dreams!

[Laughter]

Rick: Well, then come for real, because it's magical this time of year.

Julius: Vivienne and I will be happy to accept your kind and generous offer.

Vivienne: Oh. I don't know how to thank you.

Rick: Ohh. You don't need to thank me.

[Door closes]

Nicole: Hey. What's going on?

Maya: We are going to Hawaii.

Nicole: Oh, wow. Like a second honeymoon for you two?

Maya: No! No, no, no, no! All of us. Mom, dad, you, Zende.

Zende: Wait. For real?

Rick: Yeah. An Avant family Christmas.

Nicole: Seriously? This is epic!

Maya: [Laughs]

Rick: Be great.

Maya: I didn't even know.

Nicole: Really?

Maya: Yeah.

Nicole: I can't believe it. A Christmas in Hawaii with my whole family and Zende.

Zende: Aww.

Nicole: This is a dream.

Maya: Well, my husband is a dream maker.

Rick: That's me.

[Laughter]

Maya: Thank you.

Julius: The Avants are going to Hawaii. [Laughs]

Vivienne: I haven't had a bathing suit on in years.

Maya: Don't worry, Mom.

Julius: I got you.

[Indistinct conversation]

Nicole: Hey. Are you okay?

Sasha: Sure. Yeah. Why?

Nicole: I mean, we're going on and on about this trip, and you're not invited, so...

Sasha: Oh, that's all right.

Rick: I'm sorry. I really wanted this to be a-a family vacation. There's a lot of, uh, growth that still needs to happen, and the only reason I invited Zende was -- was because I don't want him and Nicole to be apart on the holidays.

Maya: Look, Sasha, Rick didn't know. I mean, none of us knew that you were gonna be here.

Sasha: No worries. Just family. Got it.

Steffy: I feel so good about us moving forward. I think we might actually be able to do it this time.

Ivy: Yeah. Well, it won't be through lack of trying on my part. I promise.

Liam: Well, uh, I will be the first to use the excuse of the holiday spirit to say that I'm grateful for all of you, especially this one. I've had the happiest year of my life since you came back to me. Big year for you guys, too, right?

Wyatt: Yeah. Ivy and I found each other.

Ivy: Mm-hmm. Lucky me.

Wyatt: Lucky us.

Liam: Bright futures all the way around, right?

Ivy: Yeah, well, who knows where we'll all be this time next year.

Sasha: What?

Julius: Okay, enough with the looks.

Sasha: What? So now I'm not allowed to look at you in front of your precious family? You know, you could have said something.

Julius: About what?

Sasha: Including me in the trip!

Julius: You heard what Rick and Maya said. It's a family vacation. The Avants and the Forresters. See, this is what I've been trying to tell you. There's no place for you here. Do yourself a favor and go home!

Sasha: You are my home. I wish you could see that, Dad.

Julius: Sasha, now you listen --

Sasha: Look, I know how much you don't want that to be true, but it's who you are. You're my father. A family trip in Hawaii? I want to go.

Julius: You're talking crazy.

Sasha: I'm family, too. Except no one knows.

Julius: Sasha.

Sasha: Maybe we ought to change that. Let's put me out there like a surprise Christmas present. What do you say, Dad?

Julius: You lower your voice.

Sasha: I'm tired of being ignored while Nicole gets all your attention.

Julius: See -- see that's another reason you can't be here. You're full of resentment.

Sasha: It's because you have rejected me my entire life. Well, that's over. I won't be left back in the Midwest while you're jetting off to Hawaii with your new family. I want a shot at that kind of life, too. Look, I'm not asking for money or fame. I don't need your handouts. I can make my own way. But it would be nice to just, you know, have some of your support so I can open some doors, make connections, so I can better myself. I don't think that's too much to ask after keeping your secret, Dad.

Julius: Hey, now. You listen to me. I will not be threatened by you or anyone else. You are not the first, nor will you be the last to have to deal with challenges. I've had to deal with challenges, too, because at one time, I had a great life. Yeah, had a decent job. I even had a membership at the local country club. Every Sunday I got a chance to sit down and have dinner with my wife and my daughter Nicole. I even sang in the church choir. And now what am I dealing with? Now I got to deal with Maya and this pregnancy that she's pushed on Nicole. I don't have a job, and I don't have a place to live. So the last thing I need is for you getting up in my face, telling me and making demands that I can't meet.

Sasha: I'm your daughter, too. And I'm not going anywhere.

Julius: [Sighs]

Ivy: Did you think about our conversation?

Liam: [Chuckles] Uh... yeah, how could I not? Do you remember what you said about coming so close to death?

Ivy: Yes, of course. That's what made me realize I still have feelings for you.

Liam: Okay, but if it's like a false positive?

Ivy: What does -- what does that mean?

Liam: [Chuckles] Okay, experiencing what you have, knowing that you could have died -- I mean, I would imagine that that would make you want to, you know, revisit all the moments in your life that felt unfinished and kind of get some closure one way or another. But I-I'm just saying you don't have to do that with me, 'cause you moved on, right? You're with Wyatt. You're committed. He loves you. He forgave you for whatever that was with Thomas. And I... I really don't want either of you to get hurt.

Ivy: Liam, you don't have to come here and explain to me why Wyatt is so great.

Liam: Really? I kind of feel like maybe I do. Not explain, but remind.

Ivy: Wyatt's -- Wyatt is wonderful. I know that.

Liam: Okay, well...

Ivy: But that near-death experience, Liam, it -- it put things into perspective for me. I'm in love with you. And I wanted to spend forever with you, and I thought you felt the exact same. And then Steffy came into town, and everything just went haywire. The immigration marriage, Aly died, all of that stuff with Thomas -- it's not who I am. I feel like I lost myself when I lost you.

Liam: [Sighs] Yeah, but what does that mean for my brother? Is -- is he just a rebound?

Ivy: Right now I-I don't know. Look, I know that I'm happy with Wyatt and I am in love with him and I know that I would be very happy with him, but... there's one small hurdle in the way. And that's the life I want. And it's the life that I want with you.
