Justin: I am really happy for you, dollar bill. Both of you. Both of you.
Bill: Incredible, isn't it?
Justin: Yeah, these things happen for a reason.
Bill: Yeah, I never really believed that, but hanging from that mountain, face-to-face with death...
Justin: Yeah, it changes a man.
Bill: It changed this one. That's for sure.
Justin: Katie, you done? It's all there. I checked everything. If you could just sign, I'll go. 'Cause I know you two have plans.
Donna: You have to let up on yourself.
Brooke: [Sighs] I have children, donna. What kind of an example have I been for them?
Donna: R.J.'s in boarding school. And your other children are quite grown.
Brooke: But hope was horrified by this.
Donna: Well, you could be proud of her for that. I mean, she knows what's right.
Brooke: I am. I am. It's just, what -- what does that say about me? Am I really that weak and that vulnerable not to be able to resist my sister's husband? [Sighs] I don't know how I'm gonna live with myself after this.
Wyatt: Hey. Check it out. The British, the French, and the Japanese are still talking about it.
Hope: You're an international hero.
Wyatt: It's not me. I'm a footnote. It's you, your line. You better dust off that passport, girl, 'cause it's world-tour time.
Wyatt: What's -- what's the matter?
Hope: Um... have you talked to bill lately?
Wyatt: No. Not really. Why?
Hope: You might want to give him a call. There have been some big changes in his life.
Wyatt: Last I heard, dad was rock climbing in aspen with your mom.
Hope: Uh, well, he had an accident on the mountain.
Hope: He's fine. He's fine.
Wyatt: Wait. What happened?
Hope: He isn't hurt, but, um... he fell. Luckily, he was wearing a harness. But he did dangle there for a while, my mom said. He could have fallen to his death.
Wyatt: I mean, that guy's got to slow down.
Hope: Apparently the experience changed him.
Wyatt: Please tell me he's giving up rock climbing.
Hope: Nope. He's giving up my mom. He went back to Katie.
Donna: You act like this is all your fault when you know it isn't.
Brooke: I could have said no. I should have said no.
Donna: You were pressured from all sides.
Brooke: Donna, don't make excuses for me. I fell in love with him, and I shouldn't have done it. I need to take responsibility.
Donna: You have. It's over. You encouraged bill to go back to Katie. Look, you know what you did was wrong. You've asked Katie for forgiveness. But now you've got to forgive yourself.
Brooke: I can't.
Donna: Why? What's holding you back?
Brooke: [Sighs] Bill went back to Katie, and that's -- that's good. I'm glad that he did that. That is where he belongs. But I'm not gonna lie. I still love him.
Bill: Katie, if there's a problem, we don't need to do this now. Right?
Justin: It's just a signature.
Bill: What's the rush?
Justin: Just wrapping up some loose ends now that you two are back together.
Bill: Katie, now or later -- it's your call.
Katie: Well, I guess we should just put this behind us.
Bill: Let's do that.
Katie: All right. Done.
Bill: All right, well, beat it. Get out of here. My wife and I are behind schedule.
Justin: I won't ask what that means. See you later.
Wyatt: I really thought those two would end up together.
Hope: My mom and bill?
Wyatt: Yeah. I mean, I know you were against it. I was, too. But bill was just so determined. He just -- he wouldn't back down.
Hope: I think you played a key part in that.
Wyatt: In what?
Hope: In bill's decision to go back. You were pretty determined yourself.
Wyatt: I just didn't want Will losing his family.
Hope: Mm. From what I heard, you made the point quite fiercely. I really admire that.
Wyatt: Then in that case, I will take all the credit.
Hope: [Laughs] I still feel bad for my mom, though.
Wyatt: Well, she deserves a whole lot more than what bill's given her.
Hope: Yeah. She does. God, this really weighed on her. It did. Knowing what she did to her sister, she's -- my mom has a good heart. She knows right from wrong. And she really does want what's best for Katie and Will.
Wyatt: And you were the angel on her shoulder.
Hope: Now I just have to help her get through this.
Wyatt: And you will. I know how.
Brooke: How could I have let this happen?
Donna: The perfect storm. Katie wanted you with bill. Bill wanted you with bill. And...you had just lost ridge.
Brooke: So I went after my sister's husband.
Donna: You did not go after him. Brooke, I know how hard you fought that attraction.
Brooke: Don't make excuses for me, donna. Katie is our sister. I betrayed her. It was wrong.
Donna: You have to move on.
Brooke: And I will. Just a few days ago, bill and I were talking about our future together... and spending the rest of our lives with each other. And now today it's just... it's gone. Almost like it never even happened.
Brooke: No, it's -- it's... this pain that I'm feeling, I've earned it. I deserve it. What I did to Katie, what I did to myself... I just want my sister back. I want to repair that damage.
Katie: I think Will is sleeping better since you've been back.
Bill: Think so?
Katie: I'm sleeping better.
Bill: It was only one night, Katie.
Katie: Yeah, but what a night. [Sighs] I'm sorry.
Bill: For what?
Katie: For everything.
Bill: Well, it's done, Katie. We're beyond it.
Katie: Are you? Truly?
Bill: I missed my son, and I missed my job. I missed you. But it's behind us.
Katie: I was just hurt.
Bill: So was I.
Katie: I guess I'm still in shock. I'm sure Brooke must be, too. You must have been terrified on that mountain.
Bill: It was quite an ordeal. But it opened my eyes.
Katie: I want to believe that everything is as it appears. But so much has happened that I guess it's gonna take a minute for me to get used to everything. Like these papers. Wasn't sure if I should sign them.
Katie: Lack of trust. I guess that's something I'll have to get over.
Bill: Well, I appreciate it. Like I said, it could have waited. I want to believe in you. I want to believe in us. I want our son to be raised by two parents who live in the same house. I want our family more than anything.
Bill: Well, one of us better get to work. I'd like to go in and spread the good news.
Katie: Okay. Go ahead. Have fun.
Wyatt: You want to help your mom? Encourage her to become more involved here at Forrester creations. We're swamped. You could use her.
Hope: That's not a bad idea.
Wyatt: [High-pitched] It's a great idea, Wyatt. [Normal voice] I want to hear you say that so bad.
Hope: It's a great idea, Wyatt!
Wyatt: There we go! I mean, look at this -- the reviews and the blogs and the articles, not to mention the sales. She's a genius at P.R., From what I hear -- her bedroom line.
Hope: That is how she made her mark.
Wyatt: What's the problem? I-I hear a problem coming.
Hope: Um... I-I don't want to tie hope for the future with my mother.
Wyatt: Why not?
Hope: It's just that our -- our branding is -- is very different.
Wyatt: Got it. My mom has this, uh... public sensual thing going on that I'm just not really comfortable with.
Wyatt: Not to be argumentative, hope, but you -- you do have a little bit of that going on yourself.
Hope: [Laughs] Thank you. My mom and I -- we're not in the same category.
Wyatt: I'm not saying that. But if you're gonna tell me that you're not sensual, well, I-I respectfully disagree.
Hope: Thank you.
Hope: But what I think my mom needs right now is a period of stability.
Hope: [Sighs] Meaning she was just left by your dad, and I don't know how she's gonna react to that.
Wyatt: She'll find someone else.
Hope: I don't want her to find someone else until she's really over your dad. I think she's still vulnerable to him, and that concerns me.
Brooke: What are you doing here?!
Bill: We need to talk.
Brooke: No, bill, we don't.
Bill: Yes, Brooke, we do. I need to tell you something.
Brooke: There's nothing that you need to tell me. Just go home and be with your wife.
Bill: You've got to calm down and listen to what I have to say.
Brooke: What could you possibly say to me?
Bill: When we went to aspen, you know what I was going through.
Brooke: So what does that have to do with --
Bill: Katie was trying to control my life. Took my company, every other weekend with Will. I couldn't take it. It was enough, and I had to do something.
Brooke: And you did. And I am fine with it.
Bill: You don't understand.
Brooke: Yes, I do understand. I've been telling you this for a long time now. You should be with Katie. You're married to her.
Bill: Everything in my life was swept under the rug, and I couldn't think straight.
Brooke: You shouldn't have been climbing.
Bill: No. You're right. I shouldn't have been climbing. I couldn't focus. Because everything Katie was doing was swirling around in my head. I lost my job. I lost my son. Thank god for you, 'cause everything else -- everything else in my life was in ruins. I had nothing left.
Brooke: You could have been killed.
Bill: I could have been. But I wasn't. I slipped and fell. And while I was hanging there, everything became clear.
Brooke: Yes, you made a decision to go back to Katie.
Bill: I made a decision. To get control of my life. I lost everything -- my son, my company. And I had to do something to get them back.
Brooke: So you went back to Katie, where you belong.
Bill: No. That's not the decision I made, Brooke.
Hope: My mom doesn't get over a man that easily.
Wyatt: Maybe this will be different.
Hope: Mm. I'd like to think so, but this all happened so quickly.
Wyatt: Now... there's a couple that'll keep 'em talking, huh?
Hope: We made the cover of eye on fashion.
Wyatt: Oh, we made the cover of everything. We're the hottest thing since grace Kelly and the prince of Monaco. There's some similarities, too, there. Look at that face, that style.
Hope: Really? Do you think so?
Wyatt: I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about me.
Wyatt: I'm just saying. You're beautiful, and you know it.
Hope: I mean, thank you. And I know if I ever forget that, you'll remind me.
Wyatt: You're a star.
Hope: You're a star maker.
Katie: There we go. Yeah. That's daddy's picture, huh? So happy to have him home. Everything is gonna be okay.
Katie: Yeah, it is.
Brooke: [Scoffs] I have no idea what you're talking about.
Bill: I never wanted to hurt you.
Brooke: Will you stop? I don't want to hear this.
Bill: Telling you I was leaving was the hardest thing I ever had to do. But it had to be done.
Brooke: I know. And you made the right choice.
Bill: A few days of sacrifice was worth it.
Brooke: Worth what?
Bill: A lifetime of happiness. And that's what we're going to have.
Brooke: Yes, you are -- you and Katie.
Bill: No, not me and Katie. You and me. I had to lie to you, Brooke. Otherwise Katie would have seen it all over your face.
Brooke: [Sighs] You're not making any sense.
Bill: I went back to Katie, yes. But only to get the job done.
Brooke: What job?
Bill: You see this envelope? There are papers inside. I had Justin draw them up as quickly as possible. Katie signed them, giving me joint custody of Will for the rest of my life.
Bill: And in addition to that, she reinstated me as C.E.O. She signed the paper, Brooke, giving me irrevocable control of my company.
Brooke: That's great. So now you have your company, you have Katie, you have Will -- everything you always wanted. I'm happy for you.
Bill: No. No. I don't have Katie. I don't want Katie. I only went back to get her to sign these papers. Don't you see? This is my home. I love you. I did what I had to do to get control of my life back.
Brooke: So...you're not going back to Katie.
Bill: No. I'm sorry for what I put you through. But I had to make it right, Brooke, and this was the only way. We have everything. Our life can begin. It wasn't pretty, but I got the job do. You can forgive me. .
