Brooke: How's the weather?

Bill: A little wind.

Brooke: How little?

Bill: We'll be fine. It's a perfect day for a climb.

Brooke: You know, we don't have to go today.

Bill: What?

Brooke: The mountain will be there any other day.

Bill: You're not up for it?

Brooke: I am. It's you. Katie's phone call. She's worried about the climb, and she has a point, bill.

Bill: Worried? Right.

Brooke: She doesn't want her son to end up without a father.

Bill: But she has no problem making me jump through hoops when I want to see him.

Katie: I don't think you want to do that. I-I understand. I understand, but our online content is really going to be amazing. I can send you a sizzle reel of what the prototype is gonna look like. All right. Just discuss it with your board, and -- and we'll talk. Thank you. [Sighs]

Liam: What happened?

Katie: I've been going around and around with this guy from our south African distributor. He -- he wants to bail. I'm trying to convince him it's a bad idea.

Liam: South Africa? Katie, we've had that account for 20 years.

Katie: I understand. And we've picked up other accounts since I have taken over.

Liam: I know. I know. Just, losing a long-time distributor, though, that's --

Katie: We're not going to.

Liam: All right. All right. I hope so.

Katie: Have you talked to your father?

Liam: Uh, since he's been in aspen? No.

Katie: Free-climbing. [Chuckles] No ropes, no harness.

Liam: Yeah. Right.

Katie: You're really okay with this? Because I'm not.

[Indistinct conversations]

Wyatt: Well, dad's gonna do what he always does.

Hope: Yeah. Exactly what he shouldn't. Mountain climbing with my mom.

Wyatt: Hmm.

Hope: You cannot tear your eyes away from that thing.

Wyatt: Well, except to look at you.

Hope: No, no, no. Nice try. You've been eyeing that diamond since we walked in here.

Wyatt: [Chuckles] Well, it's still drawing crowds.

Hope: Yeah, not as many as last week, though.

Wyatt: That'll change.

Hope: [Sighs] Look at those two.

Wyatt: Hmm.

Hope: Those ladies were in here yesterday.

Wyatt: They can't get enough of it. Then again, neither can I.

Hope: It's really a shame we have to close early today.

Wyatt: Right. Yeah. The private event.

Hope: Oh, my god. Look at Charlie.

Wyatt: Hmm.

Hope: [Chuckles] That man drinks so much coffee. Extra-hot, he tells me.

Wyatt: Extra-hot? Well, there's something you'd know about, huh? Hmm?

Hope: Oh, my god. I can't believe that my mom's going along with this mountain-climbing thing.

Wyatt: Yeah, well, they'll be safe.

Hope: Yeah, well, Katie's really worried. And she has every right to be.

Wyatt: I agree.

Hope: You agree with anything I say.

Wyatt: Whatever you say. [Laughs]

Liam: [Coughs] Listen, I mean, you don't want dad to climb mountains, give him his job back.

Katie: Once again, I'm responsible for all of bill's bad behavior. He created this reality. I didn't.

Liam: All right. Okay. Then I guess you're just gonna have to accept it, 'cause he seems like he has.

Katie: He has responsibilities, Liam. He has a son. He has three sons.

Liam: I know, but this son isn't worried about him. Neither is Wyatt. I mean, the guy's practically indestructible.

Katie: He's not indestructible.

Liam: Okay. Are you sure all this concern is really just about dad leaving us fatherless?

Bill: How's the harness?

Brooke: Good.

Bill: Not too tight? It shouldn't be tight.

Brooke: No. It's fine.

Bill: Okay.

Brooke: What about you?

Bill: Me?

Brooke: Yeah. Aren't you gonna get your things together? Ramona and the guys are gonna be here shortly.

Bill: No gear needed in free-climbing. Damn it. No text from Katie.

Brooke: About what?

Bill: Halloween. Will's costume.

Brooke: Will you stop this?

Bill: If she thinks she's gonna cut me out of holidays, too, forget it.

Brooke: Just stop. You're about to do a very dangerous climb. You need to focus.

[Indistinct conversations]

Charlie: You know, this actually happened in France. Two guys dressed as mimes strolled into a, uh, jewelry store. 10 minutes later, they stroll back out draped in more jewelry than the new York Knicks.

Wyatt: You know, I am so glad to have you on watch.

Charlie: Oh, yeah. Two eyes on the diamond, one on the door. Nothing gets past me.

Hope: You know, that's three eyes.

Charlie: Right. My last eye exam, the results were 20/20/20. Hey, uh, not so close. Get back.

Ria: Hope?

Hope: Yes, Ria.

Ria: The gift baskets, they're piling up in the back. Want me to send them to your mom's place?

Hope: Oh, uh, no. Why don't you send them to the office, actually? Thank you so much.

Wyatt: Gift baskets?

Hope: I don't know why, but people are sending me things. [Chuckles] Like, gift baskets and presents and stuff.

Wyatt: Well, that's probably because, you know, not only have you rebranded your line, you've rebranded your image. You're a role model for young girls everywhere. You should be proud of yourself. I am.

Hope: You know...

Wyatt: Hmm?

Hope: ...All of this publicity...

Wyatt: Mm-hmm.

Hope: ...It's because of you and that diamond.

Wyatt: That stone has only just begun to work its magic.

Katie: Bill knows how I feel.

Liam: Yeah, and you know how he feels. He's angry. He's frustrated. I don't blame him.

Katie: I'm not gonna spend the rest of my life catering to bill's bad behavior.

Liam: Okay, then you're gonna have more days like this, which isn't good for either of you -- especially you, though, with your health concerns.

Katie: I'm fine. I'm a modern medical miracle.

Liam: [Chuckles] All right. That's good.

Katie: Bill, on the other hand, continues to take risks. I mean, come on, Liam. Free-climbing a mountain? What is he thinking?

Liam: He's gonna come back from aspen safe and sound.

Katie: With Brooke in tow.

Liam: Why are you letting it be a problem? Will needs both of you.

Katie: He needs his brothers, too.

Liam: Right.

Katie: How are things going with Wyatt?

Liam: Fine, I guess. He's -- I don't know. He's still trying to make inroads with hope.

Katie: What you gonna do about that?

Liam: I don't know. Anything I can to get that ring back on her finger. I mean, I'm not gonna give up.

Katie: So, it seems we both have our challenges.

Liam: Yeah. Least you don't have a Wyatt.

Katie: Worse. I've got a Brooke. [Scoffs]

Brooke: I know.

Othello: Hey, guys.

Bill: What's up?

Othello: Hey. How are you?

Brooke: Good to see you.

Othello: Good to see you.

Brooke: Hi, Ramona.

Bill: Hi, Ramona.

Othello: So, you ready for this?

Bill: Bring it on.

Brooke: [Chuckles]

Ramona: That mountain will bring it on.

Bill: Good.

Ramona: Trust me. How you feeling, Brooke?

Brooke: Well, I'm excited. [Laughs]

Ramona: Well, you know, first climb. Don't push yourself, okay? When you're ready to turn back, that's what we'll do.

Bill: No, no, no, no. I want her at the top with me.

Ramona: Bill, it's a high climb. She's up for it, great. If not, you guys just go ahead, and we'll see you back at base camp, all right?

Brooke: No, no, no. It's okay. I really think I can handle this.

Bill: That's my girl.

Ramona: Brooke, you've got nothing to prove, okay? This is not a competition, all right? Bill, can I talk to you for a second, please?

Othello: Hey, listen, I talked to rick.

Brooke: Yeah, he mentioned something like that.

Othello: Yeah, I know exactly what's going on with you and Spencer, and, uh, I've never really been a big fan of his, you should know. But I do love your family. You know that.

Brooke: I know. Thank you. Just do me a favor. Keep a close eye on bill. He's a little distracted right now, going through some issues with Katie.

Othello: Yeah. No worries. I'm climbing with him, so I'll be all over him.

Brooke: Okay.

Othello: Got it.

Brooke: I appreciate that.

Othello: Yeah.

Ramona: I mean, we -- we just don't know what we're gonna run into up there.

Bill: It's not my first climb, Ramona.

Ramona: [Sighs]

Othello: What's going on?

Oliver: Bill wants to solo. Ramona's against it.

Ramona: Othello, you saw the weather report. It might get really windy up there.

Othello: Yeah, she's right. Bill, why don't you wear the harness this time?

Bill: Because I didn't come all the way up here to strap in.

Ramona: It's a challenging enough climb with the harness.

Bill: It's not gonna happen.

Brooke: Bill, just do it. For me, please.

Bill: Let's move out.

[Birds chirping]

[Indistinct conversations]

Hope: You've really given my daughter someone to look up to.

Hope: How old are you, Kerrie?

Kerrie: I'm a freshman in high school.

Hope: Oh, my gosh. That's awesome. It was not that long ago that I was starting high school myself. Are you excited?

Kerrie: Yeah.

Hope: You should be. You're a young adult now, you know, and that means that you have the power to choose the kind of life you want to live. You can make your own decisions. And I'm not taking anything away from mom here at all. But, you know, you can choose to act responsibly and to say no to things that your friends might be pressuring you into that seem wrong. And that's hard. I know it is.

Kerrie: I really want to be like you.

Hope: Oh, that's what I did, and it worked out for me. And I think that it'll work out for you, too.

Kerrie: Thank you so much.

Hope: You know what? I have a dress that would look so beautiful on you. Is it okay if I show it to you?

Kerrie: Yes! Yes!

Hope: Okay, good. Uh, it's...right here, actually. This color is amazing. That would look so good. Right?

[Birds chirping]

Katie: You're not in charge anymore, bill. [Echoing] I am.

[Wind whistling]

Othello: All right, everyone. Base camp.

Ramona: Hey, everyone. Make sure you drink some water.

Othello: Bill, water.

Bill: Yeah.

Oliver: Well, that is it for me. You two are on your own from here on out.

Ramona: You sure you don't want to join us?

Oliver: No, thank you. I'm getting out of this god-forsaken jungle.

Brooke: [Sighs] It's so beautiful. After all these weeks of planning, now we're finally here.

Bill: Hmm. Yeah. We're gonna get to the top of that mountain and leave everything else behind.

Brooke: Yes. We will.

Bill: I love you. Don't ever forget that.

Brooke: I love you. Stay alert out there.

Bill: Okay. All right. Let's climb.

[Indistinct conversations]

Hope: All right. I will be back for the event.

Wyatt: Okay. Don't be late, all right?

Hope: I won't. What is it, anyway? It's -- it's some sort of private viewing?

Wyatt: You'll see. Just be here.

Hope: Okay. Well, any publicity's good with me.

Wyatt: Oh, you'll get plenty of that. I want to get the world talking about your line and the diamond, but most of all, I want to get them talking about you.

Hope: You do enough of that already.

Wyatt: It was just the start, you know. I-I-I want to go way beyond that.

Hope: Okay, well, we should get the customers out of here.

Wyatt: I'll -- I'll... I'll take care of that. Hope, your message will be heard. It needs to be heard. That's my goal today. Okay.

Hope: Okay.

Wyatt: [Clears throat] Uh, we should probably close up. Charlie, want to give me a hand here?

Charlie: Folks, we're, uh, closing up.

Thank you for shopping at Forrester.

Thank you. Drive safely. Buckle up. If you're driving home, be sure you have a car. [Laughs]

Wyatt: Thanks, ladies, so much. I'll -- I'll lock up, you know, and set up for the event and everything. But thank you. Good work today.

Thank you.

Wyatt: Great day.

Charlie: Wyatt?

Wyatt: Hmm?

Charlie: Um... you put it away, right? I mean, the diamond's in the safe, right?

Wyatt: I-I don't know what you're talking about. I-I didn't touch it.

Charlie: What do you mean, you didn't touch it? Where is it?!

Wyatt: I don't -- I don't know!

Charlie: All right! Everybody, just stay calm.

Wyatt: Charlie, it's just you and me here.

Charlie: Right. Right. Okay, okay, okay. Let's look at this logically, huh? We should just look at it logically. Okay. You -- you didn't touch the diamond.

Wyatt: No.

Charlie: Right? And -- and -- and the diamond's not in the safe. And the diamond's not there. So then logic would tell us that... somebody's stolen the diamond. Oh, my god! Somebody's stolen the diamond.

Wyatt: Wow.

Charlie: Oh, my god. No. It's -- no. It's got to be here somewhere. It's got to be here. [Muttering]

Wyatt: [Clears throat]

Charlie: Why do people even steal a diamond?

Liam: I mean, you know dad's free-climbed before.

Katie: Not for years, Liam.

Liam: Yeah, I don't know what he's trying to prove.

Katie: He's always been reckless. But he has a young son. I just hope to god he comes back in one piece.

Bill: I love you. Daddy will always be here for you.

Katie: You'll see him every two weeks.

Bill: That's not enough!

Katie: I don't want him over at Brooke's.

Bill: You're stealing my company.

Katie: It's my company now.

Bill: You've taken everything -- my child, my job.

Othello: Bill.

Bill: You okay?

Othello: Yeah, man. Stay focused.

Bill: Yeah.

Bill: [Echoing] You've taken everything. . .

[Cell phone chiming]
