[Crickets chirping]

Bill: Katie, you agreed to shared custody.

Katie: I never agreed to these circumstances.

Bill: Well, what kind of custody arrangement doesn't let him stay overnight with me?

Brooke: You can't really think that any harm would come to will here.

Katie: I am not going to tell my son someday that I dropped him off while his father was shacking up with his aunt. No. I'm taking him home.

Will: [Fusses]

Why-y-y-y-y oh, oh-oh, oh-oh you-ou-ou

[Cheers and applause]

Hope: Whoo!

Howard: Great job, man. Give him a hand! Give him a hand! All right, guys. Is there anyone else who would like to come up here?

Malcolm: Hope, why don't you give it a try?

Hope: No, no, no, no. This place would empty out.

Oh, but you sing like an angel.

Hope: Me? No. No.

On the internet.

Wyatt: You sing?

Hope: Uh...

Wyatt: Really?

Hope: Not at all!

Yes, you can. See?

Hope: Yeah, that's, uh... that's not me.

[Laughs] Not me.

Uh, the e-mail said "hope Logan."

Hope: No.

Wyatt: That's -- that's got to be a fake or something.

Hope: Yeah.

Wyatt: Yeah.

Hope: Yeah. I, uh...I don't even open e-mails anymore unless I'm sure of who sent them.

Wyatt: Hmm.

Liam: Are you sure that's Quinn's e-mail address?

Pam: Well, yeah. Positive. [Chuckles] It's kind of obvious, isn't it? Quinn@quinnartisanjewelers.

Liam: No, I know. I mean, like, could it be a fake, like almost hers but not quite?

Pam: No. No. She e-mails me all the time. She never picks up the phone even when she's in the building, like today.

Liam: Well, somebody e-mailed this from my tablet, and it wasn't me.

Pam: Yeah, but what would Quinn want with a video that you made for Steffy?

Liam: I don't know. I mean, could it be Wyatt? I mean, would he use his mom's e-mail address?

Pam: No. I don't think so.

Liam: Type.

Pam: Ooh. I kind of like a man who's bossy, who isn't my actual boss.

[Cheers and applause]

You must go next.

It's your turn! You'll rock!

Wyatt: No. No, no, no. No, rocking is something that I don't do except in the car alone.

Hope: [Chuckles]

Wyatt: No. Hope's gorgeous, okay? Even if she messes up, nobody will care.

Hope: I mean, thanks.

Wyatt: Yes.

Hope: But no. I know that you will be wonderful.

Wyatt: If you heard me sing, you would run and hide.

Go, go, go, go, go!

Wyatt: And quit encouraging them!

Hope: No! Please. Please. Do it for me.

Wyatt: Oh, that is so unfair!

Hope: Life is unfair. Life is -- [Laughs]

Wyatt: Oh, my goodness. I can't -- no. Come on.

[Computer chimes]

Liam: Hi. Sorry. Uh, Pam said I could use the phone. My battery's dead.

Quinn: Why is she sending me my son's e-mails? This is the second e-mail she sent me for Wyatt. I know she's related to somebody, but really?

Liam: Maybe she thinks you two share an account.

Quinn: Never. She knows that.

Liam: So it was you.

Quinn: What was me?

Liam: It was you who went into my tablet, found the video I made for Steffy, sent it to yourself and then to hope.

Bill: You're not leaving here with my son.

Katie: I'm sure you would love will to grow up in a household where everyone just said, "whatever you want, bill," but that ship has sailed.

Bill: Brooke, would you mind taking will up to the den, please? That's where we have his crib set up for his afternoon naps.

Brooke: Come on. Let's go.

Bill: This issue isn't gonna go away by itself, Katie.

Katie: Fine. Go ahead.

Bill: You promised you would never try and keep my son from me.

Katie: Well, we all make promises. You promised that you would never leave us. You promised that you would love me and not my sister. And you called me unstable when I didn't believe you.

Bill: Katie... we have to stop this never-ending contest of hurt feelings. You and I are over. There isn't going to be justice. Nobody's gonna come along and make everything okay for us. What we should be concerned about is making sure that will doesn't get hurt in all this.

Katie: Yeah, I agree. I agree with everything you've said. And that's why I'm never going to allow him in this house again.

Rachel: Then you get what you want

stop being a good girl

when you show what you got

then you get what you want

stop being a good girl stop being a good girl.

[Cheers and applause]

Brendon: Encore! Encore!

Rachel: Well, if you insist. For my next song, I'd like --

Come on, Wyatt!

Yes! It's Wyatt's turn now!

[Cheers and applause]

Wyatt: [Laughs] No, no. I'm not in a rush to get up there. I'm okay.

Rachel: Well, your fans are, apparently.

[Cheers and applause]

Hope: Go, Wyatt!

Wyatt: No, I don't -- oh, man.

Hope: [Laughs]

Wyatt: Good evening. My name is Wyatt.

Ah!

Wyatt: [Laughs] Um, well, I was searching through the list to find a song with the least distance of the lowest note to the highest note so in hopes I don't mangle it. And if I do, it's her fault. That girl right there, hope. Um, yes, everybody clap. Say hi. Hi, hope.

[Applause]

Wyatt: [Laughs] She's really why I'm doing this, and, uh, she's the reason for most everything I do, so...

["I heard it through the grapevine" plays]

Wyatt: Oh, there it is. Huh? We know this one.

[Crowd cheering]

Wyatt: I bet you wonder how I knew 'bout your plans to make me blue with some other guy that you knew before two of us guys, you know I love you more it took me by surprise, I must say there it is! When I found out yesterday don't you know that I heard it through the grapevine longer would you be mine oh, I heard it through the grapevine yes, I did. [Laughing] Ohh. I'm about to lose my mind, yeah honey, honey yeah

[Crowd cheering] Huh?

[Cheers and applause]

Wyatt: [Laughs] Thank you very much.

Liam: I can prove what I'm saying, Quinn.

Quinn: I take it you don't really need to use the phone.

Liam: See, I bet you thought that you were trying to cover up your cyber fingerprints. Well, that didn't take.

Quinn: Hmm. Well, I'm sure you're more clever at those things than I am.

Liam: Well, given that that's what I did for a living the first time I ever set foot in this building, maybe.

Quinn: Oh, you've come up in the world since then, haven't you?

Liam: Okay, that right there. Is that the issue you and Wyatt have with me? You think I have, what? Risen above my station? You want to knock me down a few pegs?

Quinn: No, no, no, no. Wyatt had nothing to do with this.

Liam: I don't believe you!

Quinn: Oh. Liam. [Scoffs] You're confused.

Liam: [Scoffs]

Quinn: You're gloating as if you think you caught me doing something shameful when you're the one who got caught. Hope doesn't care how the video got to her. That's your issue, not hers. What she needed to know, which she does now, is that you never wanted her to see it in the first place.

Liam: [Sighs]

Bill: We have to think this through.

Katie: Oh, I wish that was possible. But unfortunately, this has to do with morality. I know that that's a painfully un-hip word, but that's what it's about. You've been marching to the beat of your own drum, so much so that you can't see that setting up a second home for my son in a house where you're sleeping with my sister is problematic. No. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. This is not negotiable. I have a responsibility to not only feed and clothe my son, but to also raise him with an ounce of decency.

Bill: Well, unfortunately, I don't see a way around this impasse that doesn't end up in court.

Katie: Oh. Would you do that to Brooke? A big, ugly custody battle with all the tabloid extravaganza that goes along with it?

Bill: So that's your solution? You want to try and break us up? That's not going to happen.

Katie: Oh, god. Do you really only know one conversation? "Oh, Katie, it's all your fault. You've ruined everything, and now I love Brooke." Doesn't matter. It's not about that. In fact, Brooke could end this discussion with two little words.

Brooke: [Sighs] If I knew what they were, I would say them.

Katie: Well, it's simple. This is your house. All you have to do is tell bill to move out.

Quinn: Were you expecting guilt? You hid something, and I uncovered it.

Liam: I wasn't hiding anything, Quinn. Honestly, I didn't even think I did something wrong.

Quinn: Well, apparently hope did, because she called it off with you.

Liam: You know something? People have been trying to break us up for years now. You think you're special? You and Wyatt are just the most recent, not the most damaging.

Quinn: No, no, no, no, no. I told you. I acted alone. Wyatt had nothing to do with it.

Liam: Oh, come on! What a crock! Wyatt wants what he wants, namely my fiancée, and you being his mom figured you'd lend him a hand.

Quinn: And you don't think hope had the right to know that you were whispering cyber sweet nothings to your ex while pledging your undying love for her?

Liam: Oh, is that the conclusion you jumped to without knowing the first thing about it?

Quinn: No, but hope did. Oh, wow. Frustrating, isn't it, that in the end, you're being judged by something you did, not by how you justified it to yourself?

Malcolm: [Laughs] Another one. Another one.

Wyatt: Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Why am I the celebrity all of a sudden? This is crazy.

Malcolm: Nice job, buddy. Who knew?

Wyatt: Did you guys not notice how bad I was? I was very bad.

[Indistinct shouting]

Malcolm: Say "tequila"!

All: Tequila!

[Camera shutter clicks]

Hope: [Laughs] Here you go. [Laughs] Yeah.

Oh! Our car is here.

We'll see you in the morning. And your wonderful diamond.

Hope: Thank you so much. It was great to see you tonight. Thank you.

Wyatt: Thank you. You were great.

Hope: [Laughs]

Wyatt: Thank you. [Laughs] Thank you. Oh, wow.

Hope: Well, well, well. You are officially an internationally acclaimed rock star.

Wyatt: [Sighs] Please tell me no one was taking a video of that.

Hope: Oh, I already put it up online.

Wyatt: Oh, really?

Hope: No.

Wyatt: God!

Hope: [Laughs]

Wyatt: Aah! Just, look, don't -- don't worry. I am not quitting my day job. Not as long as my day job is you.

Bill: You don't get to tell me where to live, Katie.

Katie: Oh, I know. Brooke does.

Brooke: Bill is free to stay or go. Whatever he thinks is best.

Katie: Oh. [Laughs] You must love that. I realize that deciding by not deciding is your special talent.

Brooke: [Scoffs]

Katie: Listen, you own a lot of apartment complexes. You're a rich man. Buy yourself another house. Spend five nights a week with Brooke, just not when you have will.

Bill: This is my home. Why should I live in two places?

Katie: Why should will? Shouldn't divorce be just as inconvenient for you as it is for him?

Bill: You don't want to accept the way things are. I get it. I understand it. Now, I know you want to think of our relationship as some sort of interim situation. It is not. Brooke and I have a future together. And this is what it looks like.

Brooke: [Sighs] Katie, mom and storm are gone, dad is working in Dallas, and donna is caught in the middle. If you and I turn our backs on each other, what's that going to do to the Logan family? I'm sure you don't want that.

Pam: Hey. How did it go?

Liam: Fine.

Pam: I just saw Quinn leaving. She looked a little more like the dog that won the fight than the dog that lost.

Liam: [Sighs] You know what? What she thinks doesn't -- doesn't even matter. Why is hope not answering her phone?

Pam: She's with Wyatt, remember?

Liam: Yeah. When she finds out what Quinn and her son have been up to, though, I have to believe all this is gonna change.

Wyatt: I love this.

Hope: What? Tonight?

Wyatt: Except for the karaoke.

Hope: No!

Wyatt: Oh, including the karaoke.

Hope: Okay.

Wyatt: [Chuckles] Being here with you, entertaining the buyers... watching you.

Hope: Watching me? What was I doing? [Laughs]

Wyatt: You were having fun.

Hope: I was.

Wyatt: Yeah.

Hope: I cannot help but remember that nothing ever went well here for Liam and me.

Wyatt: Yeah?

Hope: Yeah.

Wyatt: But it did tonight.

Hope: Yes, it did.

Wyatt: I know.

Hope: What? [Laughs]

Wyatt: [Chuckles] The way that I look at you.

Hope: What's wrong with it?

Wyatt: It's a lot. I know it's a lot sometimes.

Hope: Sometimes, yes. Sometimes.

Wyatt: I-I -- I look too long. I push too hard. I take up too much space wherever I am. I get it.

Hope: No, no, no, no. Just be -- just be patient with me, because I am someone who knows where her life is going, at least I think that I do.

Wyatt: Well, I'm not. And then here you come. That's the -- that's the change in me. You know, if this is being patient, having you this close to me, oh, I can be patient. [Laughs] Ah, there I go again. Okay. I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead.

Hope: Please don't. No. [Chuckles] No, I-I like that I never have to wonder what you're thinking or -- or if you're hiding something.

Katie: You're right, Brooke. I do miss us. The Logan girls and their big, strong brother. I lie awake in bed at night and I think about how happy we used to be, even when we didn't know it, because we had each other, because we stood up for each other. But I guess after storm was gone and mom was gone, then there just wasn't enough happiness to go around, because you set your sights on mine. I don't know how to be your family anymore. I don't know how to want to. Bring me my son. You people who don't work or raise children might have time for this, but I don't. What's all this?

Bill: We're getting away. Going on a climb.

Katie: You and Brooke?

Bill: Yes. In aspen. I haven't been able to free-climb for years, but now there are no restrictions on me.

Katie: [Scoffs] Not even the risk that you might not see your infant son grow up?

Bill: Oh, come on, Katie. That's not gonna happen. And I don't live in fear.

Katie: Do you know why he was grounded? Because as C.E.O., They forbade him from doing certain kinds of climbing.

Brooke: Yeah. I know.

[Telephone rings]

[Telephone beeps]

Brooke: Hello? Yes, he is. Ramona.

Katie: Oh, your aspen connection. Maybe she can talk you out of this.

Bill: Thanks. What's up? Excellent. Okay, well, uh, thanks for the information. We'll see you soon, Ramona. We got our permit.

Katie: Listen, as -- as difficult as things have been between us, I don't want will growing up without a father.

Bill: That's not going to happen. I'm not suicidal, Katie. I'm gonna get will for you. You can take him home. But this conversation is not finished.

Katie: Please don't encourage him. Please talk him out of this.

Brooke: He does what he wants. He doesn't get permission.

Katie: [Scoffs] God, yeah, I know.

Will: [Fusses]

Bill: What? What?

Katie: I know you have a death wish, bill.

Bill: Oh, come on, Katie.

Katie: Going up to a mountain, acting like a fool, that's the surest way to make that wish come true.

Will: [Babbling]

Bill: What?

Katie: I've got a bad feeling about this. Don't do it, bill.

[Wind whistling]
