Bill: Did you even look at the photos? Well, how much does my wife look like my sister's wife? Nothing. They look nothing alike. And I'm gonna pay you nothing if nothing is all I'm getting from you. Katie and Danielle are playing bait-and-switch with the P.I. I hired.
Brooke: You're having Katie followed?
Bill: Of course I'm having her followed. She took my son out of state. She hasn't contacted me. I mean, she's lucky I don't have her arrested.
Brooke: No. No, okay. Nobody's gonna have anybody arrested.
Bill: Don't bet on it. I don't know what she's capable of anymore.
Brooke: Well, you know she's not going to hurt that little boy.
Hope: Hi. Hey.
Liam: So, you were up early.
Hope: Oh, yeah. We're going into production. I have so much to do.
Liam: Yeah, I got your note about wanting to have lunch.
Hope: What, you can't?
Liam: No, no, I can. I just know you. I know it means you want to talk, and I didn't want to spend all day wondering what about.
Hope: Um, well... well, I should've told you this last night. Um... somehow, Wyatt found out that I tried to pull the plug on their hope for the future contract.
Liam: Well, I mean, Eric did say no. It's kind of moot now, anyway.
Hope: Not to Wyatt. He told me that he would rip up the contract and walk away if that's what I wanted.
Liam: That's too easy. What's the catch?
Hope: I guess I am. I don't want him to walk away, and I told him so.
Wyatt: People are staring.
Quinn: What good is jewelry if it doesn't look good outside?
Quinn: Am I getting the silent treatment?
Wyatt: This is me happy. I told hope that she could void the contract if that's what she wanted. Business decisions were mine to make, you said.
Quinn: You mean that's what you heard. Then why are we here?
Wyatt: Because it's how she wants it. Because she cares about me.
Bill: Are you sure you want to live like this?
Brooke: I've been through scandals before.
Bill: Yeah, well, I've weathered a few myself.
Brooke: Well, sex scandals are a little bit different. People think they can say anything, just not to your face. Men seem to redeem themselves faster than women, so if you wanted to go back to Katie... I would understand. If that's what you want.
Liam: Something change your mind?
Hope: No, not really.
Liam: Nothing Wyatt said?
Hope: No, I think he was genuine. He would've called the deal off.
Liam: Oh. Well, why didn't you, then? I mean, it would've made a -- meant a lot to me.
Hope: Because it still doesn't make it right.
Liam: Okay. That's not what you said last time.
Hope: No. No, I went along with what you wanted because I was trying to prove something to you, that... that, honestly, I don't feel like I should have to prove.
Quinn: You changed hope's mind?
Wyatt: Wasn't anything I said.
Quinn: Told you how it all came about with Liam.
Wyatt: She never wanted to fire us.
Quinn: She went to Eric.
Wyatt: To keep the peace. Liam's a bully. He's not right for her. Do you know how long he's been keeping her hanging?
Quinn: Sweetheart, I'm sure it's none of my business.
Wyatt: All I had to do was go to her. Do you hear what I'm saying? She's never had from him what she gets from me. She doesn't have to wait for me to make up my mind. She's the one. She always has been. And now I think she knows that, too.
Bill: I want you to listen to me. I really want you to hear me. I'm not going anywhere.
Brooke: No one can know the future.
Bill: I love you... whether you want me to or not.
Brooke: And I love you, too. But if you really wanted to go back to Katie and try to make it work, I would understand.
Bill: [Breathes deeply] I'm tough on people. I'm tough on myself. We are embarking on this future together with some injuries. It broke your heart to be banned from your sister's life. And it broke mine not to be able to live up to the promise of "till death do us part." There's a lot of love between us, Brooke. I feel it from you. I hope you feel it from me. But there's also a lot of... well, for lack of a better word, broken-heartedness mixed in. So while it's not my strong suit... this is a time that requires a lot of patience. And I know this will sound a little odd coming from me... but it's not a time to be tough. It's a time to be gentle. So if I move too fast... if I expected too much... I'm sorry.
Brooke: I don't want you to be any different.
Bill: Well, that's too bad. Because I already am with you.
Quinn: All right, I'm gonna take these down to hope and have her sign off on the changes we want to make.
Wyatt: Oh, ah!
Quinn: Unless you would like to do it?
Wyatt: Sure! Sure, it's a great idea.
Quinn: Do you happen to know if Brooke is in the office yet?
Wyatt: I don't know. Why?
Quinn: No reason. Just wonder if she knows her daughter's fiancé is behaving badly.
Wyatt: Look, there's no need to bring that up. It's fixed. Liam's not a bad person. He just doesn't know what he wants. Probably most people who have everything are like that. They don't have to decide.
Quinn: Didn't you promise hope a piece of jewelry for her wedding?
Wyatt: I did. I also told her that I intend on being the groom. Don't ask me how that's going to happen yet, but it will.
Quinn: I don't know whether to be worried about you or to be happy for you.
Wyatt: I pick happy. Yeah.
Hope: Why do you need me to break the contract with Wyatt? You're not the one working with him.
Liam: [Scoffs] Is that a trick question? He told me he was gonna try and stop you from marrying me.
Hope: And I had to put up with that for how many years?
[Both laugh] Okay. Can we just kind of come out and say it, though? This is payback for me.
Hope: No, it's really not. I waited for you. I was loyal to you when you married somebody else -- twice. There was never anybody else for me, and there could've been. So why are you doubting me now? I mean, is it because some other guy is now paying attention to me?
Liam: No, it's 'cause you're paying attention to him.
Hope: It's because it's nice to be fussed over. You know, it's... it's nice that a guy thinks that I'm amazing. Only me.
Liam: It kills me to think that I don't make you feel that way. I'm so sorry.
Hope: I know that you love me.
Liam: I did have the attorney draw up the pleading for the annulment papers and send them to Steffy, already signed by me.
Hope: I know.
Liam: So what else can I do? Tell me.
Hope: Trust me. Don't ask me to go back on my word when I never have with you.
[Cell phone beeps]
Hope: Is that your office?
Liam: Uh, it is... an e-mail from Steffy, which I will read later.
Hope: No, no, no. Read it. I mean, if it's a bomb she's dropping, it's better that it drops on both of us at once.
Hope: So, what'd she say? Is she coming home?
Liam: She's sending back the annulment papers.
Hope: Well, that's not too much of a shock.
Liam: Signed and witnessed. Listen to this. "You're right. This isn't like last time. I wanted to leave you free to marry hope, and now you are. The papers should arrive by air courier the day after tomorrow."
Hope: [Laughs] You don't -- you don't have to read out loud any of the words that are just for you, okay?
Hope: I know.
Liam: Where'd my marriage go? It was here a minute ago.
Hope: Liam, if you want some time alone, it's okay.
Liam: No, no. She did mean what she said, though. She just, uh... needed some reminding.
Hope: Well, I haven't been very patient.
Liam: What are you talking about? You waited for this for how long?
Hope: I know, but I also know that it hurts you, too.
Liam: Yeah. I'm also a little better than I used to be at feeling two things at once, you know? Still want to marry me?
Hope: Oh, god, of course I do. I've disappointed you before. I've wanted too much.
Liam: No, you -- no, you wanted this to happen when we were both free, and now we are. And I think -- I think that a big part of my happiness is knowing you're happy. Are you -- are you happy?
Hope: Yes. Yes! I am.
Liam: I think we're gonna have it all this time. I love you.
Hope: I love you, too.
Brooke: You just missed bill. I'm not sure exactly where he was headed.
Quinn: Oh, it's just fine with me that I don't run into him.
Brooke: Oh, well, hope's not here, either. And I think it's fair to tell you that canceling your contract was not her idea.
Quinn: Oh, that situation has been resolved, and we are still happily on board.
Brooke: Oh. That's good to hear.
Quinn: I see you so seldom at Forrester. I feel like we haven't had the chance to become acquainted. This is really just a social call.
Brooke: Well, that's very thoughtful of you. Thank you, Quinn. Um, yeah, I've just been really busy, you know, working from home. My desk, upstairs.
Quinn: Creative people need privacy.
Brooke: [Chuckles] Yeah. Privacy. Come in, come in. Sit down. Actually, the truth is... there's so many different opinions out there about bill and me, and it just... I would rather not hear them.
Quinn: Love can be remarkably inconvenient.
Brooke: I can't argue that.
Quinn: I wonder if you're aware of the unexpected entanglement between my son and your daughter?
Brooke: I think I would call it a flirtation.
Quinn: Ah. Wow. That's not how it appears to me.
Brooke: Well, it certainly can't be anything serious because hope is engaged.
Quinn: Yeah. Uh, I understand it's been a tortured path between her and Liam.
Brooke: Mm-hmm. But they're past that. Almost. You don't really seem convinced.
Quinn: Oh, I've probably already said too much.
Brooke: No. No, if this is about my daughter, I'd like to hear what you have to say.
Quinn: [Sighs] Well... I'm a realist, Brooke. Sometimes people who get engaged, just like people who get married, don't always stay that way.
Brooke: Sorry. I didn't mean to be so inhospitable. Would you like something to drink or eat or --
Quinn: Oh, no, no, that's okay. I have a feeling that I might have already overstay my welcome.
Brooke: No. It's just...
Quinn: You think I should mind my own business.
Brooke: Well, it is our business, our children...
Quinn: Yeah, but you think I'm mistaken.
Brooke: I do. And if you're not, I need to know.
Quinn: Wyatt's never talked about marriage before today. And my son is happier than he's ever been, and I think it's because of her.
Brooke: Uh, I think Wyatt misunderstands this. I mean, hope is fond of him, yes, but --
Quinn: I just... I want you to understand that his attention to her is not for career advancement. You know what? My son is sincere, and he is a really good man. He's committed and he's responsible -- responsible well beyond his years. And I want him to be happy. Do I think that he's gonna find that with hope? Well, you know, I'm not so sure. But...until someone pronounces her somebody else's wife... I wouldn't count him out.
Liam: Don't say it.
Bill: I'm not saying! I'm thinking. Can I think?
Liam: No! Don't -- don't think it. Don't scheme to intercept the air courier. Don't contemplate bribing the judge into rejecting the petition. Just don't.
Bill: Well, you know, there's got to be a couple of legal questions there, right? Two annulments for the same couple? Come on.
Liam: Dad, that first one wasn't even filed. Look, you're gonna have to get used to this. Hope and I are getting married. Don't make me black ball you from the guest list.
Bill: Can you give me a moment? Can I have one moment to make a mental adjustment? When I walked in here, you were still married to Steffy.
Liam: I -- I know. I loved her. I tried. She left. Sound familiar? And, by the way, dad, have you noticed how supportive I've been of you and Brooke?
Bill: All right. Yeah, you haven't been a total pain in the ass. I'll give you that.
Liam: Okay. And that's what I'm saying. Did all of a sudden I start hating Katie and being on Brooke's side? No, it doesn't matter because the only side I should be on is yours. I want you to have the things that you think will make you happy. And what if I don't? What if marrying hope makes you more miserable than when you lost her?
Liam: Okay, first of all, that's not gonna happen. But let's say it did. What would I want? I'd want you to be on my side until I fix it up. I mean, that's what this is about. Be on my side, and I'll be on yours.
Bill: Gee. Isn't it too bad I didn't have you around to tell me how to act when I was your age. And I'm only being half sarcastic.
Liam: You know, my -- my life took a turn I never expected. Steffy was such an adventure, and I would not trade going down that road for the world. But my heart feels like it's back where it started. It's like being home.
Hope: What's that?
Wyatt: Changes for you to approve.
Hope: Oh, okay. Thank you.
Wyatt: I got another one for you. Don't do it. Don't marry him.
Hope: Wyatt... you know, things really aren't the same as they were yesterday.
Wyatt: I heard.
Hope: Uh, you heard what?
Wyatt: I came to the door when Liam was here, and I heard about the annulment.
Hope: Okay. So... so you know that we don't have to wait any longer.
Wyatt: You don't have to rush, either.
Hope: Wyatt, you knew that this was coming.
Wyatt: Just answer me one thing. Are you sure?
Hope: It is what I've wanted for so long.
Wyatt: That's not what I asked. What does time have to do with it? It's... it's never been right between you and him. It's always been right between you and me. You feel it. I know you do.
Hope: We hardly know each other.
Wyatt: So give me some time. Let me show you. Don't... don't marry my brother.
