Hope: [Chuckling] You did not just say that.
Wyatt: Didn't it?
Hope: I mean, you're joking, of course.
Wyatt: Mm. Hmm?
Hope: Oh, my god. Stop it. S-stop it.
Wyatt: Stop what?
Hope: This thing -- this game that you're playing with me.
Wyatt: I am -- I am not playing games. When you wear this dress, I plan on being the guy standing right beside you wearing a tux and putting a ring on that finger.
Bill: Thank you for doing this for me.
Brooke: This estrangement between you and Wyatt has to end for both your sakes.
Bill: I'm not sure Wyatt gives a damn.
Brooke: He knows he was overreacting.
Bill: You got him to admit that?
Brooke: Yeah. He wants his father in his life, and you want your son.
Bill: Okay, so, why hasn't he come to me about this?
Brooke: It doesn't matter who steps forward first. This isn't about pride. This is about reuniting the family. Isn't that what you want?
Katie: Are all the documents in order?
Katie: Thank you. And the Spencer jet?
Ready and on standby.
Um, they're asking for flight details.
Katie: I will handle it directly.
Caroline: Hey. Is it okay to come in?
Katie: Caroline, sure. Come on in.
Caroline: How are you?
Katie: I'm well. How are you?
Caroline: Things are on the upswing.
Katie: Yeah. I heard about your successful rebranding of hope for the future.
Caroline: Yes, that was a very good day.
Katie: So, what can I do for you?
Caroline: I'm just checking in.
Katie: You've talked to your uncle.
Caroline: Yeah. Actually, I just saw him.
Katie: And he was with Brooke.
Caroline: No, he was alone... in her bedroom.
Caroline: I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have said that.
Katie: Don't be sorry. It's good to be reminded.
Caroline: Of what?
Katie: That I'm doing the right thing for me and my son.
Caroline: You mean the divorce.
Katie: Among other things. Did bill ask you to talk to me?
Caroline: No. No. I am -- I am Switzerland here, Katie. I am completely neutral in this.
Katie: That's an awfully enlightened point of view for bill's niece.
Caroline: Look... [Sighs] He's my uncle. I love him to death. But...he's a maniac at times. I know better than most.
Katie: He should be taught a lesson or two.
Caroline: Or three or six. I know that you're hurting. I wouldn't want to be married to the guy, either, or be anywhere near his girlfriend.
Brooke: I know it's what you want -- to be close to your son. It started out that way. Wyatt's a very impressive young man. He was just angry because he was being loyal and concerned.
Bill: Concerned for a little brother that he just met.
Brooke: He was trying to be protective of his little brother.
Bill: Yeah. Protecting him from a father that he thought would abandon him -- at least in Wyatt's skewed sense of what he thinks the patterns of my life are.
Brooke: Well, he knows now you're not going to abandon will regardless of what happens with Katie.
Bill: Because of you. Thank you for reaching out to my son.
Brooke: Of course. This family means a lot to both of us. It seems like Liam understands our feelings, but hope and Wyatt -- well, we need some damage control there. And we'll -- we'll make it happen.
Hope: Are you serious?
Wyatt: About wearing a tux? Well, I assume that's what you're gonna want me in.
Hope: [Chuckling] Okay, we are -- we are not even having this conversation right now.
Wyatt: Why? What's so funny?
Hope: You! You're -- you're crazy.
Wyatt: I had to ask. You know, I think I heard somewhere that Liam showed up in his underwear and a Mohawk...
Hope: Oh, my god.
Wyatt: ...To one of your many attempted weddings.
Hope: Where did you hear that?
Wyatt: The word gets around, kiddo.
Hope: [Sighs] Well, he's going to be in a tux this time.
Wyatt: Oh, if there is a this time.
Hope: Stop it. Stop it.
Wyatt: What? You've had an awful lot of misfires.
Hope: That is not something that I'm going to discuss with you.
Wyatt: I'm just saying. [Chuckling] I'm just saying. Don't you think it was romantic -- how we first met?
Hope: Um, a naked guy taking a shower outside and then chasing me through the woods?
Wyatt: Wait a second!
Wyatt: Uh, well, I was thinking a little bit later when prince charming kissed sleeping beauty and woke her up. You know, there's still time, hope. The bride-to-be can still wake up.
Liam: So, it's official.
Wyatt: Locked and loaded.
Liam: You sure you can deliver?
Wyatt: Wouldn't have signed if I weren't.
Liam: No, Wyatt. I'm serious. Production can't be held up because you can't come through.
Wyatt: I heard you. Of course, it would help if I had an office over here, maybe near hope since we're gonna be working so closely.
Liam: Uh, actually, hope, didn't you say that you were gonna be doing a lot of working from home just because we're planning a wedding and all?
Wyatt: Right. The wedding. [Chuckles] Wow. You -- you might be the one holding up production, not me.
Hope: I think we'll manage.
Wyatt: Well, don't make promises you can't keep.
Liam: [Laughs] Right. I think we're done here.
Hope: Uh, actually, before you leave, there is something that I'd like to say...to both of you.
Katie: Have you met Wyatt?
Caroline: No. Not yet. Have you?
Katie: Yeah. Yeah, he's interesting. He's very much like his father in some ways, but more sensitive.
Caroline: Well, that doesn't take much. How's will?
Katie: He's fine, all things considered.
Caroline: I bet he misses his dad.
Katie: Well, it wasn't my decision to raise him like this. It was bill's choice.
Caroline: And your sister.
Katie: Yes. Both of them. I'm sure you've heard bill's side of this.
Caroline: Well, there's enough blame to go around. That's kind of my attitude.
Katie: I agree. I-I am to blame for part of it, but I think when your sister and your husband sleep together, the onus of responsibility is pretty clear.
Caroline: Yeah. It doesn't take a genius. [Chuckles]
Katie: I can't forgive them for that. But I need to move on.
Caroline: And you're doing that, right?
Katie: In more ways than you can imagine.
Bill: You think I was too hard on Wyatt?
Brooke: Do you?
Bill: Maybe. But he had to learn a lesson.
Brooke: He's learned it, and now I think it's time for forgiveness.
Bill: He hasn't asked for any.
Brooke: [Chuckles] Well, maybe he shouldn't be the one who would be asking.
Bill: Wait, he's the one who got physical with me.
Brooke: Yes, but he was being protective of his baby brother. Now, isn't that what you want -- for your kids to be there for each other and to have each other's back? You would have done the same thing if you were in his place.
Bill: You're right. I have to talk to him.
Brooke: Yes, you do. [Chuckles]
Bill: All right. I've got to get ahold of Wyatt. I want to offer him a job.
Brooke: He already has a job.
Bill: No, a real job -- one where he can grow and function at a higher lever.
Brooke: [Chuckles] I know. Hope hired him and his mother.
Bill: For what?
Brooke: To be the exclusive jewelry designer for hope for the future.
Brooke: Yeah. Isn't that great? It's a wonderful opportunity.
Bill: Yeah, a wonderful opportunity for hope as well.
Brooke: Hope didn't know it was Wyatt's company when she made that decision.
Brooke: That's what she said.
Bill: Yeah. But she's been his biggest supporter from the very beginning, hasn't she?
Brooke: She wants to keep him connected to the family.
Bill: Uh-huh. Like mother, like daughter.
Brooke: [Chuckles] Anyway, I think you should ask Katie before you hire Wyatt.
Bill: I don't have to ask Katie. I still own 49% of the company. I can hire my son if I choose to. Besides that, Katie likes Wyatt. I'm sure it won't be a problem.
Brooke: Are you sure about that?
Bill: [Sighs] You know, I'm starting to see things differently with regard to Katie and my sons. I want this all to work out, and I believe that it can. That's because of you. You've changed my perspective. I see things -- I see things more clearly.
Brooke: You're not a man who can walk away from your children. I just wanted to remind you of that.
Bill: Yeah. I want to be as close to Wyatt as I am to Liam. And will -- I will be so involved in his life he won't even know that I'm not living in the same house. You know, I can't tell you what you've brought to my life. The moment I saw you in Monte Carlo...I knew this is how it had to be.
Caroline: So, you're moving on.
Katie: Yes, I am.
Caroline: That's very cool.
Katie: I'm not sure your uncle will think so.
Caroline: The divorce settlement? You're not, like, slamming him for money?
Katie: No, no. It's really not about bill. It's about me. I have a son to raise. I have a company to run. Those are my priorities. And I intend to fulfill them on my own terms.
Hope: Okay. This little competitive thing you guys have going -- it's -- it's flattering, but it's time to put it aside and get real.
Liam: Uh, agreed. Although I think what you're saying is that we're engaged and Wyatt needs to learn to respect that.
Wyatt: Is that what you meant? I didn't get that.
Hope: Yes, that's not exactly all of it.
Liam: What is all of it, exactly?
Hope: The two of you are brothers, okay? That's the reality of the situation, and that's not changing.
Liam: Well, it's an inconvenient biological fact. I'm not sure it means much more than that.
Wyatt: Amen. Wait, did I just agree with you?
Hope: Nothing more?! Excuse me? I don't think so. Do you really think that I went through all this trouble of proving this little biological fact only to have you tell me that it's meaningless? Uh, no. Look, the thing is, is I see something in both of you that neither of you sees in each other, and that's -- that's really frustrating.
Liam: Hope, just look at us. We are very different people.
Hope: Yeah. Look, all I'm gonna say about this is you two need to start getting along, or you're going to have some problems, and I'm not talking about with each other. I mean with me. Yeah, I will turn this car around.
[Knock on door]
Katie: Come in.
Brooke: I know you're busy. I'll only be a minute.
Katie: Actually, um, I'm glad you're here.
Brooke: You are?
Katie: Yeah. I, um -- I have some news.
Brooke: What about?
Katie: Me. I've made some plans.
Brooke: So, you've made some plans?
Katie: Yes. Would you like to hear them?
Katie: I'm leaving town.
Katie: It's business, but it will free you and bill up to do whatever it is...you do.
Katie: That's really all I wanted to tell you. I just wanted you to know.
Brooke: So, bill's going to be watching will.
Katie: Oh, no. No, I'm taking will with me.
Brooke: How long are you gonna be gone?
Katie: I'm carving out a life for myself, Brooke -- for me and for my son. I'll still be running the company, of course.
Brooke: Uh, from where?
Katie: Somewhere else. Anywhere but here.
Liam: So, quite the performance earlier with Wyatt.
Hope: Mm, well, I meant what I said.
Liam: Yeah, I think we both got that.
Hope: [Sighs] Will you please try and work things out with Wyatt? Just make an attempt.
Hope: It is non-negotiable.
Liam: We'd get along better if you guys didn't have to work together.
Hope: Well, you don't have to see him.
Liam: And that is getting along.
Hope: No, it's not. That's not how brothers get along.
Liam: Well, that's just, like, your opinion.
Hope: It is my opinion, and because I'm a woman, it's the only one that matters.
Liam: You're feisty.
Hope: Do you like it? 'Cause you're gonna see a lot more of it.
Liam: This is how it's gonna be from now on?
Hope: Yeah. Still want to marry me?
Hope: Good. Patch things over with Wyatt. Please. For me.
Bill: What's with the attitude? You have a problem?
Wyatt: Yeah, I have a problem with you walking out on another son! You have this incredible wife -- a smart, beautiful woman -- but that's not enough for you. You got to go and have her sister, too? What, did you get tired? You want a blonde now? Is that it? How selfish can you be?!
[Knock on door]
Bill: At ease.
Wyatt: I didn't expect to see you.
Bill: I was hoping to see you or at least get a call.
Wyatt: I owed you that, I guess.
Bill: Yeah, you did.
Wyatt: Come on. Let me have it. I got it coming, right?
Bill: No. No, I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna treat you the way you treated me, even though you deserve it. That's not the way a son speaks to his father, Wyatt.
Wyatt: I know. I know. I was...totally off-base.
Bill: And I overreacted. I've said some things that I shouldn't have in my day, or wouldn't have if I gave it a moment's thought. You said what you felt needed to be said. The problem is you got caught up in your anger. And I know all about that. [Chuckles] Don't ever lay a hand on me again.
Wyatt: It won't happen again.
Bill: You were standing up for an innocent child. I respect that. It says a lot about you as a man. That's what you should have done. It's what I would expect you to do as a Spencer, as a member of my family. It's done. Forgotten. I would appreciate it if we could give this another shot. So, what do you say, son?
