Steffy: You think this is it? You think my marriage dies with my baby?

Hope: Don't go there, Steffy. Don't worry about me.

Steffy: Oh, I'm not. That's what I'm trying to get you to understand. Liam is not with you anymore. He is my husband, and you need to respect that.

Taylor: I'm not sure what Hope said to you about our talk --

Brooke: You encouraged your daughter to get pregnant again as soon as possible. That is foolish and irresponsible.

Taylor: Her obstetrician said that there was no need for them to wait. Another child would give them something to look forward to. It would be the best thing to help them heal.

Brooke: Would you suggest one of your patients to do that? I don't think so. The only reason you're pushing this is because there's no baby, then you know Liam would go straight back to Hope.

Taylor: [Sighs]

Brooke: It's your biggest fear, isn't it -- your daughter being left behind the same way you were?

Steffy: Liam and I are married, and we are surviving what happened together as husband and wife. And at some point, we will have another baby.

Hope: Yeah, your mom said as soon as possible.

Steffy: Yep. That's the plan, Hope. That's the plan.

Hope: Don't you want time to recover -- to let your body and your mind heal?

Steffy: There's no reason to wait.

Hope: Because, Steffy, I mean, having kids was never something that you wanted before. I mean, you're young. It's not like your biological clock is ticking. If you're so secure in your marriage with Liam, why don't you spend some time alone together before adding kids into the mix?

Steffy: I want to be a mother now. And what does it even matter to you? I don't need to have a baby to hold on to Liam. I'll say it again. We're married, and we're a family whether we have 10 kids or whether we have none. You need to understand that, and maybe that will help you move on.

Hope: I do understand, and I've been respectful of your marriage. I did step back. I left you and Liam alone.

Steffy: But losing the baby doesn't change anything. Is that what you're about to say?

Hope: No. I think it changes a lot. You can't tell me that everything is the same since before you got on that bike.

Steffy: Yeah. Pretty reckless, huh?

Hope: I didn't say that.

Steffy: There I was, tempting fate. Look at you. You're probably judging me.

Eric: So, you'll get back to me as soon as you've spoken to the suppliers?

I should have more info for you by this afternoon.

Eric: Good.

Working on Brooke's Bedroom again sure has energized you.

Eric: It has, hasn't it? Thank you. [Chuckles]

Taylor: Do I want my daughter to spend all of her time worrying about her husband being seduced away from her? The answer to that is no. But that is not the reason that she wants to have another baby.

Brooke: If she does, you think Hope will back off.

Taylor: Hope will back off because she's a decent person and she respects marriage vows. Steffy and Liam are married now. And I'm supporting Steffy trying again because this is what she wants. And getting pregnant again would help her heal. It would help her get past the loss and the pain and the grief that she's feeling right now. What greater joy is there than knowing that you're expecting a baby with the man you love?

Steffy: Yeah, I shouldn't have been on that motorcycle. You won't say it, but you think it. And you're hoping Liam thinks it, too. Yeah, it bothers him. Yeah, he's upset. Not nearly as upset as I am with myself. But we're gonna get through this, so do not get your hopes up. We're gonna work through this grief together. And, you know, the thought of having another child -- that's part of the healing process. Honestly, I don't even know why I have to tell you this, but I think you should know in case you want to throw yourself at Liam again. Or have you done that already? You've gone to him, haven't you?

Hope: Steffy, if I want to talk to Liam and help him --

Steffy: His child is dead. Give him space. If you're really convinced that he's just with me out of a sense of duty, then he should be running back to you any day now without your encouragement. So, let us be.

Liam: Hey, Steffy. I heard -- something tells me I'm interrupting.

Donna: There you are.

Eric: Looking for me?

Donna: Yeah, actually. Brooke texted me earlier and, um...she wanted me to talk to you. She wants to meet you -- the cabin on her grounds. She's gonna be there soon, and...she hopes you'll join her.

Eric: You know what she wants me to do. I'll meet her, but I won't do what she's asking. I won't hurt Taylor. I simply won't.

Taylor: Eric, uh, showed me pictures of Logan, and he's so proud of Bridget and the mother she's become. He's...bragging like a typical grandfather.

Brooke: I know you were looking forward to that. And it will happen someday. It just seems too soon for Steffy to try again. But you know what? I'm -- I'm gonna stay out of it. It's none of my business.

Taylor: Thank you.

Brooke: So... [Sighs] Eric had a good time over at my house?

Steffy: Yes. He did. He told me all about your talk. Whatever you said, it definitely convinced him that you're not interested in Bill at all. But he did say some things that made me start to wonder that maybe there is a reason that you're not interested in Bill anymore.

Brooke: What?

Taylor: Do you have your eye on another man? Is there someone new?

Brooke: I'm working on it.

Taylor: Well, I hope he's not married.

Brooke: No. No, he's definitely not married.

Taylor: Good. I think that's wonderful. As long as he's not married, I'm all for it. I just hope you find the kind of happiness I've found with Eric.

Brooke: [Chuckles] I'd like that. In fact, that's exactly what I'd like.

[Door closes]

Brooke: So? Eric agreed to meet me?

Donna: Reluctantly. Look. [Sighs] He feels for you, Brooke, but what you're asking isn't fair. He's not gonna do this to Taylor.

Brooke: I'll have to get him to change his mind.

Donna: Honey, I-I don't think it's gonna work.

Brooke: What am I supposed to do? I don't want to hurt Taylor, but I need to protect Katie. There's no way she can find out that this is Bill's baby.

Donna: Another guy, maybe? You know, someone who's single. It would be more believable anyway.

Brooke: No. No. Eric is the most believable. I've been married to him. I have children with him. He understands me better than anybody. It's got to be Eric. Besides, him being with Taylor -- I don't think that really matters. Everybody knows my reputation, so they wouldn't bat an eye when they see me going after her man.

Donna: [Chuckles] And you're okay with that?

Brooke: Yes. I don't care. I-I really don't care. My main focus is to make sure that Katie is protected. That has to happen. And it has to happen soon. I'm gonna start showing, Donna. I can't model that lingerie line. Everybody would know. I have to make it obvious that Eric is the father.

Donna: Okay, well, the cabin's set up. You better get going. Good luck.

Liam: Should I come back?

Hope: No. No. I was, uh...just about to leave. Welcome back. I really am sorry for your loss. You're in my prayers -- both of you.

Liam: [Sighs] Hey, so...how you feeling? I mean, you feeling okay?

Steffy: Yeah, yeah. I think I'm -- [Strained] I'm -- I'm fine.

Liam: Whoa, no, no, no. Don't do that. Don't do that. No, no. Sit. Sit back down, please. Please?

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: Sit.

Steffy: [Breathing shakily] Maybe it's too much. Maybe it's too much coming back to work so soon.

Liam: I'm so sorry.

Steffy: Don't let go. Don't let go.

Taylor: Donna. I thought Brooke was still here.

Donna: Oh, uh...nope. She...had some place to be.

Taylor: Like a date? It's okay. I know everything. I know Brooke has her eye on another man. And thank goodness, because at least she won't be a threat to Katie's marriage now.

Brooke: [Sighs]

[Soft jazz music plays]

Brooke: Hmm.

Liam: It seemed kind of intense when I walked in. Everything okay?

Steffy: It will be...when Hope stops hovering. She thinks the only reason you married me was because of the baby. And I know that's not true. You told me about our future and our life together whether or not we have a child. And you already know this. You know that that's why I didn't tell you at first -- because I needed to know you wanted me for me and that I wasn't forcing you into anything. And you get that. Hope doesn't. And I know. I know you're mad about the motorcycle --

Liam: Okay. Well, you know what? We don't need to talk about that right now.

Steffy: No, it's -- I am. I'm disappointed in myself.

Liam: Hey. You know what? It was an accident.

Steffy: Liam, come on. I know you're mad. It's okay to be mad. Don't hide your feelings. The only way we're gonna get through this is honesty. This is gonna make us stronger. And this is gonna make us a better couple and better parents for our next child, when the both of us are -- are holding our baby in our arms. I don't -- I don't want to hurt Hope, but she's wasting time just waiting. And soon enough, she's gonna realize that we're gonna be together for good, and then she'll move on. So, thank you. Thank you for never letting me forget how much you care about me. [Chuckles]

Liam: I love you.

Steffy: I love you.

Liam: [Smooches]

Steffy: [Sighs]

Hope: [Sighs]

Donna: Brooke told you about this guy that she's interested in?

Taylor: Not much. Just that he's [Chuckles] Not married for a change.

Donna: [Chuckles] Nope. Not anymore.

Taylor: Do you know who he is? Have you met him?

Donna: Yeah. Yeah, I have.

Taylor: What? Is it someone I don't like?

Donna: [Chuckles] Mm, no. He's -- he's great.

Taylor: Good. I'm glad. I'm glad to hear that. I'm sorry. I don't mean to make you uncomfortable asking you a lot of questions. Donna, I do want you to know, despite all the things that I've said about Brooke and the things that we've been through, I do want her to be happy. I want what's best for her. I mean, after all the years of us fighting over the same man, wouldn't that be ironic -- neither one of us end up with Ridge? And both of us end up happier than we've ever been with somebody else? Me with Eric and Brooke with...whoever the lucky man may be.

Donna: [Chuckles]

[Soft jazz music plays]

Eric: Brooke? Brooke? I know you're here. Look, the only reason...

[Music stops]

Eric: The only reason I came is to tell you, once again, that I-I can't do this. I'm sorry. Now, I know you're in a -- you're in a terrible position. [Sighs] I wish I could help you. What is this? What are you doing? What are you doing?

Brooke: You won't believe what I have in store for you, Eric. Tonight...I make you mine.
