Liam: Are you sure this is how it's done?
Steffy: Do you know a better way to choose paint samples for the nursery?
Liam: I don't know. One kiss, no -- two kisses, yes?
Steffy: Well... I guess this one's a no, then.
Liam: What if I can't decide?
Steffy: [Sighs] Sometimes indecision is best. And plus you're being such a good sport. Not a lot of fathers are this involved in decorating the nursery.
Liam: I want to be in on it. All of it. Everything.
Steffy: Well, I'm working very hard to make this fun for you.
Liam: Well, guess what. It's working.
Thomas: Well, someone didn't get the memo.
Oliver: At least I got her to come over.
Thomas: Did you tell Hope we're going surfing today?
Oliver: Need to do something to get her mind off Liam.
Thomas: Yeah, well, good luck with that. So, what do you think?
Oliver: Pretty cool, huh? Taylor turning the beach house over to Thomas.
Thomas: It's a great place. You know, someone ought to be living here now that my mom's living with Eric. I just hope I don't regret moving in with this guy.
Oliver: He asked like a dozen girls. They all turned him down. I felt bad for him, so...
Hope: When did you get a motorcycle?
Thomas: I didn't. I'm just -- I'm holding on to it for Steffy since, um...
Oliver: Hey, what can we do to make you smile?
Thomas: Handstands? Funny faces?
Man: Would you like more information, Mr. Spencer?
Woman: We've worked up a complete prospectus.
Bill: Put it on my desk. That's all.
Alison: I thought I'd seen them all.
Alison: Bill Spencer's moods. This one's different. What's going on?
Bill: Katie's sister, Brooke. I was at Forrester yesterday, and I walked in on her and Donna. Brooke wasn't herself. She was trying to hide it, but... why would she do that with me of all people? Something's going on with her.
Donna: I asked you last night, Brooke, and you didn't answer. You're pregnant. It's Bill's child. What are you gonna do?
(Song) Ooh California days California nights
Maya: I don't know about this, guys. I've never even been on a surfboard before.
Donovan: That's where I come in.
Hope: Donovan is a really great instructor and a good friend.
Donovan: You surfing today, Hope?
Hope: No, not today. That water is cold. [Chuckles]
Oliver: You sure? Could be fun.
Hope: Yeah, no, it's just -- it's cold out. I, um... Oliver, you -- you really don't have to, you know, babysit me or try to keep me occupied. I mean, things are really hard for me right now, yeah, but I'm -- I'm fine.
Liam: I'm telling you. Spencer dynasty. We're doing our part.
Steffy: Your dad's done his.
Steffy: Two wonderful sons. But with Katie's health --
Liam: Yeah, well, they're lucky to have Will. I can tell you this much -- my dad's not gonna be making any more babies anytime soon.
Alison: You're worried about your sister-in-law?
Bill: As a matter of fact, I am. What?
Alison: Nothing. I just -- I know that you two became very close when Katie was dealing with postpartum depression.
Bill: Yeah, well, Brooke was a godsend for Will and me.
Alison: I was just wondering if it was more... or if it's become more.
Donna: I'm worried about you, Brooke. I'm terrified for Katie, for her family, our family.
Brooke: Stop it, Donna, please.
Donna: Honey, you can't hide from this. At least not for long. What are you gonna do?
Teresa: Thank you for including me today. I like Hope, admire her, what she stands for.
Oliver: Yeah, she's -- she's pretty special.
Teresa: Being a spokesmodel with Maya for Hope's line, wow. It's like I won the lottery.
Donovan: So, those are the basics. Everything else you need to know --
Thomas: You're just gonna pick up after your first wipeout.
Teresa: Maya's from the Midwest. We're both nervous, but I'm excited to learn.
Maya: Me too. Nope. Not at all.
Oliver: Ah, you'll figure it out. What do you think, Hope?
Hope: Yeah, you will.
Thomas: Hey, you know what? Why don't you guys just go on ahead and we'll -- we'll catch up?
(Song) Fill my heart with doubt you'll leave me with a heart of doubt
Liam: So, my mama-to-be, what else you got planned? Besides that. [Laughs]
Steffy: Hey, how do you feel about monkeys?
Steffy: Drapes for the nursery. We could do, like, a-a safari theme. Make it gender neutral, right?
Liam: [Chuckles] This one looks like my dad.
Steffy: Stop that. He gave you the day off.
Liam: So what? He took a day off for Katie the other day.
Steffy: Yeah, that's true. Which is so not Bill.
Liam: I know. Well, ever since Katie's last scare, I mean, he's -- he's changed. He's all about family now. Like me.
Alison: So, you wrecked your car and went to Brooke's to sleep it off?
Bill: Yeah. That's all that happened that night.
Alison: Katie didn't believe you?
Bill: Not then. The marriage wasn't in a good place for either one of us.
Alison: And it's turned around now? You and Katie have recommitted yourselves, everything's fine?
Bill: I love my wife very much.
Alison: And Brooke? You've been through a lot together. I feel --
Bill: Yeah, well, don't. Why don't you reread your employment contract? You're not allowed to feel anything. Our marriage is in a good place. And I intend to keep it that way. And I also expect this conversation to stay strictly between us.
Alison: Of course.
Bill: I'll be back.
Eric: I'm looking for Rick.
Donna: Oh, um, he's with Thorne. They're meeting with Mr. Mookjai. Our new Thai silk supplier.
Eric: That's right. I forgot he was coming in today. I didn't mean to interrupt, but, uh, but I'm glad I did. You're upset. Well, I'm not at all surprised.
Steffy: Look what I found.
Liam: Oh, my God. Where was it?
Steffy: You know what this means, right?
Liam: Yeah, I know what it means! Grillmeister's back, baby!
Liam: Suit me up, coach.
Steffy: You got everything you need now...
Liam: Yes, yes, yes.
Steffy: ...Veggies, ribs, your favorite beer.
Liam: Ohh. Me man. Me make fire! You woman. You...
Steffy: Manhandle man.
Steffy: My man.
Liam: [Laughs] So, you hungry?
Liam: No, no. [Laughing] No, I mean, I could fire up the grill. Or we could go swimming first. Whatever you want.
Steffy: I got everything I want right here. And here.
Liam: And here.
Steffy: Mm-hmm. But I do want to go see Thomas. He moved into my mom's beach house down PCH. I could pay him a quick visit and come right back.
Liam: Yeah. I'll, uh -- I'll just whip up some of my mystery barbecue sauce while you're gone.
Steffy: You really don't have to do that. I could just stop by the grocery store and pick some up.
Liam: You wound me. Store-bought barbecue sauce for the Grillmeister? You know, I could have my apron revoked for that.
Steffy: [Laughing] Oh, really?
Steffy: This is my life -- barbecue, a baby.
Steffy: A husband who makes me happier than I ever thought I could be. I keep thinking that this isn't real, but it is. This is real.
Steffy: I am the luckiest girl in the world. Don't miss me too much.
Eric: Brooke, I know.
Eric: You're dealing with a lot of changes right now -- physical, emotional. You can talk to me about anything. You can talk to me about menopause.
Bill: Hello there, Romeo.
Liam: Dad. What are you doing here?
Bill: Well, it's not often I give you -- or, well, anyone, for that matter -- the day off, so, uh, want to make sure you're not wasting it. [Clicks tongue] Where's Steffy?
Thomas: Hope, come on. You're wasting time. Go get changed. I'll grab our surfboards.
Hope: Actually, you know what? I think I'm gonna go. I don't need to end up saying something bad about your sister in front of you.
Thomas: [Sighs] Come on. You haven't said anything bad. Yet.
Hope: Yet. Exactly. I... look, she is living the life that I should have had. And it makes me angry, and it makes me sad, and... you're just gonna have to let me deal with it my own way, all right? Because pretending like everything's fine when it's not is just -- it's not gonna happen, okay?
Hope: Look, I'm... I'm gonna go get my bag. I'll slip out the back way. Thank you for inviting me over. And -- and thank everybody else for me, too, okay?
Hope: All right.
Steffy: You, uh, looking for these? There were out in the front on the table.
Thomas: Hey, sis.
Steffy: You settled in?
Thomas: Getting there.
Steffy: Wow. Really like what you've... done with the place. Wow.
Thomas: It's Oliver's.
Steffy: Where is he, by the way?
Thomas: Uh, surfing with friends. I was just about to join them.
Steffy: I would love to go. Thank you.
Thomas: Sorry, sis, not in your condition. You should be knitting booties, not hanging ten. Or you should be hanging out with your baby daddy.
Steffy: He's grilling as we speak. He's off today, so we're nesting, planning the nursery. Liam is so sweet. I-I feel like I'm the most pampered mother-to-be in the world. I have it all. I have everything that I've ever wanted. This is the best time of my life, brother. It is. Mwah.
Thomas: I love you.
Steffy: I love you.
Thomas: Let me see here.
Steffy: I'm getting bigger.
Brooke: It's not menopause. It's... [Sighs] Dr. Caspary thought it -- it might be, but it's...
Eric: It's something else?
Eric: Something serious?
Brooke: Physically, I'll be fine.
Eric: Well, Brooke, what is it? Tell me.
Brooke: Uh, I can't, Eric. Not right now.
Eric: Whatever it is, I'll always be here for you. Never forget that.
Bill: Look at you. You are just really into this, aren't you?
Liam: Yeah. Steffy's gonna be home in a minute. I got to finish this sauce. I got to fire up the barbecue. Uh...
Bill: Fire up the barbecue? I think that is a disguised invitation. I would love to.
Liam: Uh, yeah. No offense, no offense, but --
Bill: No offense taken. You want to be alone with your wife. You're totally into Steffy and your unborn baby, aren't you?
Liam: Well, not unlike you with Katie and my little brother.
Bill: I always knew this is how it was meant to be for you. And you and Hope, that was just --
Liam: Taste this.
Bill: Wow. That's actually pretty darn good.
Bill: Look at you. Model son, model husband, father-to-be, and, uh, Mr. Super Chef.
Bill: I am proud of you.
Liam: You're not gonna, like, hug me or anything, are you? 'Cause I think my ribs are still recovering from the last one.
Bill: I don't hug my son. I can't help it.
Liam: Okay. Okay. [Clears throat]
Bill: And, uh, you know, just so you know, you know, real men, they wear white aprons 'cause you got to see the mess. How do you see the mess on a black apron?
Liam: What are you do--
Bill: Mess, mess, mess. Right there. That's better. That's a real man.
Steffy: Go ahead. Say it.
Steffy: I sound like this sappy greeting card.
Thomas: Are you kidding? It's good seeing you like this, sis. You deserve it.
Steffy: Don't worry. You'll -- you'll find someone.
Thomas: Well, hopefully it's a bit easier than it was for you and Liam.
Steffy: It makes me appreciate what we have all the more. Anyways, I got to run. I'm gonna go see my hubby. Cha-cha-cha.
Thomas: Hold on. I'm coming out, too.
Hope: [Sniffles] [Sobbing]
Hope: [Clears throat]
