Bill: What we've experienced, Brooke -- the time we spend together, getting to know each other, helping each other -- it's made me feel things --

Brooke: Bill.

Bill: Are you gonna deny that you feel it, too?

Brooke: No. You've become very important to me, but --

Bill: You don't have to say any more. I'm glad I matter to you.

Brooke: You have no idea.

Katie: Oh, man. Finally got him down. Everything okay?

Brooke: Yeah! I was just telling Bill that I've got to go see Hope 'cause there's something that she wanted to tell Liam.

Katie: What?

Brooke: I don't know. That's why I have to go find out.

Katie: Okay. Well, give her my love, and please, please tell her that if she needs anything, I am just a phone call away.

Brooke: Okay.

Bill: Yeah, and if she needs any distraction, she could come and take Will for an afternoon. Katie and I could spend some time alone.

Katie: Well, don't make any promises. I don't want my son out of my sight for just even a second. [Chuckles]

Brooke: Okay. Well, I'll check with you later, okay?

Katie: Okay. Bye.

Bill: Really, Katie? Not even an afternoon?

Katie: Please, please don't start.

Bill: I just want to spend some time alone with my wife. Is that really so wrong?

Hope: [Sighs] Okay. Promise me that you will marry Steffy before the baby's born. [Sighs]

Liam: Hey.

Steffy: Hi, you.

Liam: What are you, uh -- what are you doing?

Steffy: Just putting stuff back the way I like it. You mind?

Liam: No. It's your house. We can even buy new stuff if you want.

Steffy: Oh, no. I don't want to do that. Oh, but we do need to make the guest room into a nursery.

Liam: Yeah. [Sighs] About that, um...

Steffy: Is something wrong?

Liam: I think you and I need to have a conversation about where to go from here.

Katie: Of course, it's not wrong for you to want to be with me. That's the way it should be.

Bill: Okay, great. Then I'm gonna have Alison set up nanny interviews. I think I can afford it.

Katie: It's not about economics -- it's about me spending time with Will, quality time.

Bill: We spend plenty of quality time with Will. What about quality time for each other?

Katie: I was gone. I was gone for important weeks, formative weeks.

Bill: Katie, you can't get that time back.

Katie: But I can try to make it up to him.

Bill: At our expense?

Katie: I hope not! I do like it that you're so hot for me.

Bill: Well, then, let me do something about it, and you'll like it even more.

Katie: Honey, I have to put Will first right now, at least until he's bonded with me.

Bill: And how long do you suppose that would take?

Katie: As long as it takes. Please, please don't be angry.

Bill: I'm not angry, Katie. Frustrated. Lonely. I miss my wife.

Katie: I'll make it up to you. I promise. But this is what I have to do right now. Please just bear with me.

Bill: Do I have a choice?

Katie: Why don't you tell me what's going on with my sister? She seemed a little off.

Bill: Do you have time to listen?

Katie: Yeah, of course. You have my undivided attention.

Steffy: I have to be sitting down for this? How bad is it?

Liam: Why are you expecting the worst?

Steffy: So I'll be pleasantly surprised when it's good. Okay, I can -- I can tell there's something important on your mind. You can -- you can talk to me.

Liam: Okay. [Sighs] I've been thinking a lot about you and us and the baby.

Steffy: And you're freaked out. It's -- it's okay. We're talking life-changing stuff, here.

Liam: I know.

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Liam: And I'm excited for the future. But it's... not the same as it was. It's not this faraway, distant thing that I can barely wrap my head around anymore. I mean, it's -- it's here already.

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: It's right now. It's -- it's inside you. And I want to set a wedding date.

Steffy: You what?

Liam: I want to marry you, Steffy... before the baby comes.

Steffy: [Sighs]

Liam: [Chuckles]

Steffy: Oh.

Brooke: Hi, honey.

Hope: Oh, hey, Mom.

Brooke: How did it go with Liam?

Hope: Good. I think he heard me.

Brooke: What did you say?

Hope: I told him to marry Steffy.

Brooke: Why in the world would you do that?

Katie: I know you think I'm being overprotective.

Bill: Oh, maybe just a little.

Katie: Well, the good news is that he went right back to sleep this time, so now you have my undivided attention. So, why don't you tell me what you think about this whole Taylor and Eric relationship?

Bill: Well, I actually haven't given it too much thought, beyond how it affects Brooke.

Katie: So she thinks that Taylor is pulling some kind of power play, like trying to keep Brooke and Rick and Hope in their places, so to speak?

Bill: That's about the size of it.

Katie: That seems awfully calculating for Taylor. I mean, maybe they're getting together because they're lonely. It happens.

Bill: It is pretty quick.

Katie: Maybe they figured why waste time? I mean, why not enjoy each other while they can? They're not getting any younger.

Bill: Yeah, you might not want to float that theory past Brooke. I don't think she's gonna break out the champagne and wish the lovebirds well. As a matter of fact, she's gearing up for a fight. And I'm going to help her.

Steffy: You're asking me to marry you?

Liam: In a completely unromantic way. I'm sorry about that.

Steffy: Are you kidding? You haven't been this romantic since you tore up those annulment papers and laid that kiss on me.

Liam: Yeah. I guess we were on the right track back then, too.

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: I can't help but notice you haven't said yes.

Steffy: I'm sorry. I'm just -- [Sighs] I'm -- I'm just really surprised. I wasn't expecting a proposal tonight.

Liam: Makes sense, right?

Steffy: That's what we have to figure out.

Liam: Do, you...want to marry me?

Steffy: More than anything.

Liam: Okay.

Steffy: If you're sure it's what you want. Yes, I am the mother of your child, and marrying me is the right thing to do, but we get to make up our own rules, and I'm happy just the way we are.

Liam: So is that a no?

Steffy: It's a "tell me all the all of the reasons why you want to marry me," and then I'll give you an answer.

Liam: [Chuckles]

Hope: I want you to marry Steffy.. before the baby's born.

Brooke: I don't understand. Why would you encourage Liam to marry Steffy? I know that's not what you want.

Hope: [Sighs] If I had my way, Steffy wouldn't be pregnant. But she is. And no matter how much it hurts, she is having Liam's baby. And I know how important it is to Liam to raise it with two parents in a stable home.

Brooke: Yes, but he doesn't have to be with Steffy. You and Liam could get married, and you could be the second parent.

Hope: No, it's -- it's not gonna work like that. Liam chose to raise his baby with its mother, and it would hurt me so much to know if I did anything to cause any pain to this child.

Brooke: Well, there is another way to look at it. You and Liam could get married, and the baby could benefit from all of your love and understanding. Unless, of course, it would be too painful for you to help raise Steffy's child.

Hope: I would do it I heartbeat if that's what Liam wanted.

Brooke: Does he know that? Maybe you should tell him.

Hope: I can't, Mom. I have to let him go.

Katie: Listen, I totally understand why Brooke wouldn't want Taylor to become romantically involved with Eric. I mean, Stephanie hasn't been gone that long. But they're consenting adults. I don't really know what she or you, for that matter, could do to come between them.

Bill: It's not about coming between them. It's about Brooke reasserting herself at the company. Listen, I'm no expert on Taylor, although in some of my dealings with her -- well, I have had to question her professional and personal judgment. Having said that, I don't know what her motives are. Maybe she has genuine feelings for Eric. Maybe she's just making a power play and using him to position herself and her family at the company. The point is... Brooke has a proven track record. And in business, it's all about money, and the more money, the stronger the bottom line. Brooke is a proven sales generator.

Katie: That's very true. The "Brooke's Bedroom" line was a phenomenon.

Bill: Most profitable line in the company's history.

Katie: And BeLieF made the company a lot of money, as well.

Bill: Right. So Brooke needs to get back in the game. Once she's generating sales, she can't be squeezed out.

Katie: I think it's a fantastic idea.

Bill: You do?

Katie: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, so much has happened to Brooke over this last year. She's lost Ridge. She lost Stephanie. I think it would be wonderful for her to throw herself back into something that she does better than anyone else.

Bill: And if Taylor is making a power play, this squashes it.

Katie: You're absolutely right. It's the perfect answer. So what did she say?

Bill: Well, she was a little reluctant.

Katie: I'll talk to her.

Bill: No need. I talked to her. And now she's pretty turned on by the idea. She's agreed.

Katie: Hmm.

Liam: When I, uh -- when I pulled you out of the tub and, uh, saved your life ...

[Both laugh]

Liam: I had no idea what was coming. I mean, I thought I knew my future. I thought I knew the direction my life was headed in. And then you just came on like wildfire. Nothing has been the same ever since.

Steffy: Yeah, well, tenacity is my specialty.

[Both laugh]

Liam: That, right there. The time I spend with you, Steffy, it's -- it's fun. You lighten me up. You make me happy. And now you've given me this incredible gift of a son or a daughter. It's a family I didn't ask for, I didn't expect, but... I'm so grateful to have. I know you don't like hearing "it's the right thing to do," but, Steffy, us getting married and raising this child together is the right thing to do. And it's not because I feel obligated. It's the right thing to do, because it's what I want. So.. Steffy Forrester.

Steffy: [Sighs]

Liam: I'm gonna ask you one more time. Will you do me the honor of being my wife? [Kisses her hand]

Steffy: [Laughs]

Hope: Liam's moving on, and I need to do the same and figure out who I am without him.

Brooke: I can help you with that. You're a beautiful, strong, principled young woman, smart and talented, wonderful and unique.

Hope: You are making me sound perfect. Thank you for that, but I'm not.

Brooke: You are perfect, to me.

Hope: You have to say that. You're my mom.

Brooke: Oh, honey, just wait until you get out there. There's gonna be lots of young men lined up for miles.

Hope: That might take a minute. I just -- I need to work on myself. [Sighs] You know, I-I need to -- I need to learn how to have my own back, you know, protect what's mine, stop being so concerned with the way other people are living and just get my own life in check.

Brooke: Okay, so how do you want to go about all of that?

Hope: [Sighs] Well, I'll start with the re-launch of "Hope for the Future." You know, I want to get involved in women's rights and environmental issues. I want to get out into the world and see new people and make new friends.

Brooke: Or reconnect with old ones. I heard that you were spending some time with Oliver.

Hope: Oh. Yeah. Yeah, he's -- he's a good guy, and he cares about me a lot. He's just -- he's -- he's just not Liam.

Steffy: I know the baggage you bring -- Spencer men not knowing or raising their sons. And I know you want to end that cycle. I see how committed you are to our baby and me, so if you're sure. You're absolutely sure you want to marry me?

Liam: I'm sure.

Steffy: Then you got yourself a wife.

Liam: Yes

Steffy: [Laughs]

Liam: Okay, when?

Steffy: Uh, yeah -- how? Where?

Liam: Oh, man. We got to get you a ring.

Steffy: What about the ceremony?

Liam: That's bride's choice.

Steffy: Okay, well, I don't want anything, you know, big or elaborate. Just friends and family, like a real celebration.

Liam: Yeah. Sounds great.

Steffy: Okay.

Liam: Okay. [Chuckles]

Steffy: Afternoon or evening?

Liam: You know what? How about candlelight?

Steffy: I like that. Yeah. I like that. Everything I ever wanted is finally coming true. And you know how cynical I used to be.

Liam: You? What? No.

Steffy: Oh, baby, you don't know what that word means.

Liam: [Laughs]

Steffy: You could.. growing up without a father. But there is nothing negative about you. You are warm ... and positive. And you are such a good influence on me. And I just know you're gonna be such a good influence on our child. Our baby is lucky to have a father like you. We're gonna be a family. We are.

Liam: Yeah.
