Taylor: Thomas, there are other fashion houses. You don't have to go away to Paris.

Thomas: No, I'm thinking about doing something with Dad. Look, Mom, I'm a good designer. I'm talented. I've got business savvy. And I have to realize all of my potential. I can't do that here with all these Logans in my way.

Taylor: I don't want you to go.

Thomas: You know I can't stay.

Taylor: Paris?

Thomas: Well, at least there I have allies -- Dad, Steffy. Here, I don't have anything.

Taylor: Eric just stuck up for you.

Thomas: I don't need anyone to stick up for me, Mom. I'm sorry. This is what I have to do. I got to get this report filed for Rick before my flight.

Brooke: Oh. Uh, I'm sorry. I thought that...

Thomas: I was already gone?

Brooke: [Sighs] Thomas... I know this is difficult for you and your mother. But I really think Paris is going to be good for you.

Marcus: Hey!

Dayzee: Oh! [Chuckles]

Marcus: Being kind of obvious, aren't you?

Dayzee: Marcus, what are you doing here?

Marcus: Well, the same as you. I see you trying to be all incognito.

Dayzee: [Chuckles]

Marcus: You're checking out the competition.

Dayzee: Right.

Marcus: Mm-hmm. Okay, so, Babe, so, what's it gonna be, huh? Hot dog, barbecue, Asian?

Dayzee: Um...

Marcus: You pick. My treat.

Dayzee: I can't. I can't. I have to actually get back to the coffee shop and, Babe, you have to work.

Marcus: All right, well, let me walk you to your car. Where'd you park at?

Dayzee: Um...

Marcus: Babe, where did you park?

Dayzee: I think I left my sunglasses at one of the stalls.

Marcus: Okay, so let me help you go find them.

Dayzee: No, no, no. I can find them. I'll just meet you at home. Don't worry about it.

Marcus: Okay. Well, good luck with that.

Dayzee: Thank you.

Marcus: All right. Bye.

Maya: Was that your boyfriend?

Dayzee: Oh, God. It's my husband.

Maya: Handsome.

Dayzee: Thank you.

Maya: Is he helping you with my case?

Dayzee: No.

Maya: But you found my little girl, right? That's why I'm here. That's why you called me. You know where she is?

Dayzee: [Sighs]

Eric: Not that one. Come on.

Pam: Looking for this? [Chuckles]

Eric: Is there anything that you can't find?

Pam: A man who will stay with me forever.

Eric: [Chuckles] That must be kind of tough for you. To find somebody like that when you're spending so much time taking care of me.

Pam: No. You need my help right now. You're grieving. And I'm happy to be here. In time, you're gonna see. It'll be easy to move on and... maybe even find somebody new. But until that time comes, I'm here for you. I'm your friend. But I'm here because I want to be here. Not because I want something from you.

Thomas: Brooke, listen --

Taylor: You want my son out of the company.

Brooke: That's not what I said.

Taylor: You think Paris might be good for him?

Brooke: Rick spent years at International, and look what it did for him.

Thomas: Don't remind me.

Brooke: He won the challenge because of it. And he also matured. And he came back very assertive and very confident. He had a clear plan for his future.

Thomas: Yeah, so did I, but working under President Rick Forrester wasn't part of it.

Dayzee: So... are you staying out here?

Maya: Hoping to get discovered. The farmers market in L.A. I thought this place would be crawling with big producers and casting directors. Now the only thing I want is to get my daughter back.

Dayzee: Yeah. Maya, your daughter was adopted. You signed papers.

Maya: You talked me into it.

Dayzee: No, I didn't.

Maya: Yes, Dayzee, you did.

Dayzee: Not in the way that you mean. And you were desperate.

Maya: Of course, I was desperate. I didn't want my baby to be passed through the system.

Dayzee: And that's what we did. We prevented it. We found a way.

Maya: Yeah, you found a way. You found people who would take my little girl.

Dayzee: I found people who had a stable and loving home.

Maya: And now I want her back.

Dayzee: It doesn't work that way.

Maya: I have been rotting in jail for a crime I didn't commit. It was total wrong place, wrong time. So, yes, I was desperate. I had no family support. When I signed those papers, I was minutes away from being hauled off to prison. I wanted to fight my court case, but no one would listen to me. No one would listen to my version of the story. But I always knew I was innocent. And I never wanted to let go of my baby.

Dayzee: You told me that there was no other option.

Maya: You made me put my name on that piece of paper. And so now, years later, I finally find a lawyer who believes me, and I'm exonerated, a free woman. No harm done, right? And now you tell me that I can't get my daughter back. No, Dayzee. I have lost enough, and I want back what's mine. Things are different now.

Dayzee: Yes, Maya, I understand that, but you need to --

Maya: And so will the people who took her. What did they say when you contacted them?

Dayzee: You know, Maya, I want you to see something.

Maya: It's my baby.

Dayzee: And that's her new family. I wanted you to see how happy they are.

Maya: She is so beautiful. So little.

Dayzee: Well, um, yeah. That's 'cause I took that photo a long time ago... the last time that I checked in on her.

Maya: Wait. You said you would talk to them last night and tell them I want my child.

Dayzee: I know. I know, and... I'm sorry, but I couldn't.

Marcus: Thomas? I got your message. "I'm out"?

Thomas: I'm leaving. I'm asking Granddad to transfer me to International.

Marcus: Okay, why and when?

Thomas: I already booked my flight. Soon as Granddad signs off, I'm gone.

Marcus: Today.

Thomas: Sooner, the better.

Pam: Everybody says they have good intentions. And some might actually believe they do. But it's not true. You are a very important man, Eric. You're rich. You're very handsome. Beware of widows bearing casseroles.

Eric: [Chuckles] Casseroles. Come on.

Pam: You think I'm kidding. I'm completely serious. There are a lot of women in this town who would love to see you as a conquest -- some right here in this very building, one I can think of right outside that door, as a matter of fact.

Eric: Really?

Pam: Yeah.

Eric: Who?

Pam: I can't even believe she tried to pull that stunt with the honey-bear bottle last night. That was shameless, Eric!

Eric: It was funny. She was trying to cheer me up.

Pam: Cheer you up. With all due respect... you can do better. You've been down that road. But where'd you end up? With Steph. See, that's the kind of woman that you want to spend your whole life with. A woman with substance, you know, class... a real grown-up, someone that you can actually have a conversation with. When you do start looking... that's the kind of woman that I think you should be looking for.

Eric: I appreciate the concern. It's really unnecessary, but I appreciate it.

Taylor: I don't blame Thomas for wanting to leave. I don't want to hear this anymore.

Brooke: I know this is hard for you. Seeing him passed over like that -- it's not easy. And the fact that he might be living so far away -- I know you didn't want that for him.

Taylor: It's not what Thomas wants.

Brooke: He wanted to be president of this company. But that didn't work out, and now he's having a hard time dealing with it.

Taylor: No, he's having a hard time dealing with Rick.

Brooke: So why stay here and make a bad situation even worse? I think it was a very mature decision. If he's frustrated, he should leave.

Taylor: Everything he cares about is here. Why should he have to leave? He just doesn't feel like he's a part of anything anymore. Of course he's frustrated. And so am I.

Brooke: There's more that's bothering you. You made that very clear.

Taylor: My son is moving away to Paris. His father and his sister are already there. My family has been torn apart. Of course, that bothers me.

Brooke: And the idea that Steffy might not be with Liam anymore, the fact that I was with Stephanie a few hours before she died.

Taylor: You want to continue the list?

Brooke: No, I don't, really. I'd like to get over it. So maybe we could be a good example for our children. And if you just work through your issues, then --

Taylor: My issues?!

Brooke: It's obvious you're not very happy, Taylor. And it certainly isn't my fault.

Maya: Why don't you understand? I am her mother. My little girl should be with me.

Dayzee: You decided you wanted to give her the best life possible under the circumstances.

Maya: And you made me believe I didn't have any other choices. I'm sure that there were other options, but you didn't give me any. You just handed me the papers and told me that was the right thing to do.

Dayzee: Because it was.

Maya: Where is she?!

Dayzee: Look, I cannot imagine how difficult things must have been for you in prison. And I understand that you needed something to hang on to. But what you need to realize is that this is never gonna happen.

Maya: I was innocent. I'm not a bad person.

Dayzee: I am not saying that you are.

Maya: Then why won't you help me?

Dayzee: Because it's out of my hands. She's in a stable, loving home. She has everything a child could ever want.

Maya: Except her mother.

Dayzee: Who thought she was going away to prison for a long time.

Maya: Don't you judge me.

Dayzee: I am not. Do you have a job? Do you have a place to live? Look, if you need some money, I can --

Maya: I don't need your money. I need my baby. You did this, Dayzee. Now you need to make it right.

Marcus: You're in a tough spot, Tom.

Thomas: Man, I don't have a place here. It says "Forrester" on the building, but the Logans are running the show. No offense.

Marcus: None taken.

Thomas: In pairs, at International, I'll be on a level playing field.

Marcus: No, it's great over there. You're gonna love it. I know I did.

Thomas: You weren't there that long.

Marcus: Okay, I came back for Dayzee. But what about you? When are you coming back?

Thomas: When I don't feel like an outsider anymore.

Brooke: Blaming me won't solve your problems. It never has.

Taylor: Because you and your family never take responsibility for anything.

Brooke: For what? Should Rick apologize for being most qualified? Should Hope feel sorry that Liam still loves her? Should I be upset that Stephanie and I became friends and great confidants? And should I regret all that time I spent with Ridge and how much he loved me? I mean, what, Taylor? What would make you feel better?

Taylor: This isn't about me.

Brooke: Isn't it? I think Thomas made a very wise choice for himself.

Taylor: Thomas is uprooting his life.

Brooke: He's moving on. You should be --

Taylor: I should be what?! What, happy? Proud? I lost Phoebe forever. And Steffy -- she went away to Europe. And now Thomas is moving. That's supposed to be good? What the hell is the matter with you?

Brooke: I'm sorry you feel that way.

Taylor: No, you're not. You have never been concerned about me or my family. And you definitely never cared about Thomas. It's all about you... and your success and your family. Well, not this time, Brooke. No, my family has a right to be here. You're not going to drive them out the way you did Ridge. That is not happening this time, Brooke. Your games are over.

Pam: Oh! Marcus, I've been trying to call you. There's someone here to see you. Said that you'd want to see him.

Marcus: Okay, well, you could have sent him to the sky lounge, Pam.

Pam: Well, I didn't know if you'd want me to.

Marcus: Okay, so who is he?

Hello, Marcus.

Dayzee: All right, please listen to me. Maya, your daughter is happy. Her adoptive family is giving her a wonderful life.

Maya: If that's true, then why won't you let me see her?

Dayzee: Because it isn't gonna do either of you any good. You can't take her back now.

Maya: I have rights.

Dayzee: You signed a legal and binding agreement.

Maya: We never went to court. I never met those people. I'm not some girl from the sticks who came to Hollywood to be an actress. I'm not naive, Dayzee.

Dayzee: I know, Maya.

Maya: How much you get paid?

Dayzee: Excuse me?

Maya: I know you got money for this. Was it referral fees from the lawyer?

Dayzee: I put most of that back into the shelter.

Maya: But you didn't use any of it, did you, to get this nice life, your handsome husband?

Dayzee: That's none of your business, and no.

Maya: You just got lucky, I guess.

Dayzee: Yeah, I did. And you could, too. If you want to start somewhere, start with yourself.

Maya: I did. I did everything that I was supposed to do. Because I knew that the sooner I got out of jail, the sooner I could have my baby back. It was the only thing that made it bearable. And now you say I can't do that. No! I am not giving in. And I am not going away.

Brooke: The choice is made. It's out of your hands.

Taylor: I don't want him to leave. Eric, please, you've got to help me stop him.

Eric: What happened?

Brooke: Thomas is going to ask you for an official transfer to International.

Taylor: Don't do it. It isn't what he wants.

Brooke: Thomas isn't stressed out and frustrated enough?

Taylor: May I have some time alone with Eric, please?

Brooke: He could learn a lot there. If he wants to go, let him.

Taylor: Eric, please. I don't want to lose him.

Eric: Brooke has a point. There's valuable experience to be gained.

Taylor: If that's what he wanted, I wouldn't fight you on this. But he doesn't want experience. He's trying to escape.

Eric: Well, it certainly served that purpose for his father, hasn't it?

Taylor: And his sister. I can't help them, Eric, if they're not here. Thomas just feels so slighted... and defeated.

Eric: I know. I'm sorry.

Taylor: Not by you. You're not the one chasing him off. It's Brooke and her family. Once again, the Logans win. And my children feel demoralized and... [Sighs] ...Just utterly defeated. Thomas was ready to lead this company. He was ready, and all of the sudden, just out of nowhere, he loses his stock. And his position is taken away from him that his father gave to him. How many times can a person have the rug pulled out from under them over and over again, Eric?

Eric: All right. Here's a memo I just sent out to the company regarding your son's position here at Forrester.

Taylor: "To all departments, effective immediately, Thomas Forrester will no longer be co-lead designer working in the Los Angeles office. I am deeply grateful for the creativity and dedication he has brought to this company. His understanding of all aspects of this business gives him a unique and valuable perspective, which will serve him and the company in his new position. I congratulate Thomas as he takes the next step in his already exemplary career... as vice president of Forrester Creations."

Eric: I hope that's enough to keep him here... where he's wanted. Where you're all wanted.

Taylor: Eric.
