Stephanie: I can't stop thinking about it.
Hope: I know. Me, either.
Stephanie: Everything those young people have been through-- imagine.
Hope: I know. Being just tossed out into the world just because they've aged out of the foster care system.
Stephanie: Except for the lucky ones we met today.
Hope: Yeah. I really messed up blaming her for ripping us off.
Stephanie: I'm just as guilty as you are where Beverly is concerned. Come on.
Stephanie: Did you get the feeling that something like this has happened to her before?
Hope: After the way she reacted, yeah.
Stephanie: Yeah. (Sighs) Look, we've got to figure out who stole the designs.
Hope: Yeah. (Sighs) (groans) And--and--and how they got past our security. I just--I don't get it.
Stephanie: Well, that's what we have to figure out, and when we do when we find out who's done this, boy, they're going to pay, and they're gonna pay dearly.
Eric: This is like six months' work. Jackie, it's hours and hours of preparation, and I have nothing left. How could you do this?
Jackie: Do what?
Eric: You stole my whole damn collection.
Jackie: Oh, I did not. I mean, it's ridiculous. Eric, calm down. Oh, gosh.
Eric: How did you break through our security? When I find how you did that-- what are you doing, Jackie?
Jackie: Nothing. God.
Eric: Is Sally your inspiration now? Are you the new Spectra Fashions?
Jackie: What, is it so impossible for you to believe that I could create a marvelous collection?
Eric: No, what you premiered was my collection. Those were my designs.
Eric: Admit this to me.
Steffy: (Jingles bell) You rang?
Bill: Someone's in the holiday spirit.
Steffy: What-- what do you have against the holidays, Mr. Grinch?
Bill: Mr. Grinch?
Bill: Mr. Grinch?
Bill: You should be calling me Kris Kringle.
Bill: That's why I asked you here. I'm making plans girl.
Steffy: Mm. Okay, do tell.
Bill: I want us to be together.
Bill: The family-- you and your husband, my wife and me.
Steffy: Okay. Um, how does your wife feel about it?
Bill: Don't worry about Katie. She's my problem.
Katie: (Sighs) Can we talk?
Liam: Um, kind of busy, actually.
Katie: Well, you're not too busy for what I have to tell you. Apparently, your father is planning a family holiday vacation, just the four of us. He didn't tell you?
Katie: Yeah, he seems to think it's a great idea if we could go to Mexico as one big happy family.
Liam: And you're not thrilled.
Katie: Not so much. Frankly, I'd rather have my husband to myself than share him with your wife.
Eric: You're not gonna admit it, are you? (Sighs) I thought you were my friend.
Jackie: I am. We are friends.
Eric: Friends don't do this to one another.
Eric: I thought this was maybe my best collection ever. I thought perhaps it would be my last collection, my, uh, my grand finale.
Eric: No way in hell that's gonna happen now.
Jackie: (Scoffs) Well, then whoever did do this to you did you a tremendous favor, didn't they, because you have no business retiring. You're much too talented.
Eric: Don't do that, Jackie, not after this betrayal.
Jackie: Is that what you see here, a betrayal?
Eric: That's exactly what I see.
Eric: I trusted you.
Jackie: Yeah, well, I trusted you, and look where it got me. (Scoffs) Life doesn't always turn out the way you want it to, Eric.
Eric: You think I don't know that, Jackie?
Jackie: Why don't you tell me something, if you don't mind. All those kisses that we shared, the affection that you so desperately needed, what happened to all of that? Because one day, you couldn't get enough of me, and the next, it all came to an abrupt halt.
Eric: The way my collection just did?
Jackie: I thought-- I really thought that you were finally finished with Stephanie. I thought you realized that you would never, ever be first with her. But no, she just throws you a little token glance, and Eric comes back to her side so dutifully. God, it's sad. Such a sweet man like you settling for that... can you call it a life again? (Laughs) You could have had so much more with me. But no. You turned your back.
Eric: The way you turned your back on me. You're admitting it, aren't you?
Jackie: Yes, I'm admitting it, all right? What are you gonna do about it? Now you've got your confession. Handcuff me. Take me to jail. Throw away the key. Make Stephanie really, really happy.
Eric: Is that what this all comes down to-- a woman scorned?
Jackie: My company was in dire trouble...
Eric: I know, Jackie!
Jackie: And I saw no other way.
Eric: I know that. Why didn't you come to me?
Jackie: What, and get humiliated again? Eric, I love you. Don't you understand that part of me has always loved you? When I set Owen free, I saw the potential for a future with you. I saw everything that I could be to you that Stephanie wasn't. You were so miserable. You seemed so starved for affection. And I would... I would have been really willing to give it to you. But... it's too late now, isn't it?
Hope: Okay, so what do we do now? I mean, the show is scheduled, but we have nothing to show, because Jackie M. already did.
Stephanie: There's nothing we can do. It's postponed, period.
Hope: I know, but think of all their hard work that they're not gonna get credit for. That's heartbreaking.
Stephanie: Yes, it is. And that's why we have to find out who stole the designs before we risk a repeat.
Hope: (Groans) I really wish I had thought things through a lot more before I accused Beverly.
Stephanie: Stop being so hard on yourself.
Stephanie: Come on. She'll forgive you. Once she gets to know you, she'll realize there isn't a malicious bone in that body of yours.
Hope: Thanks. I don't think your granddaughter would agree with that. I'm sorry. Um... I'm sorry, Stephanie. I-I know that you love Steffy very much, but that marriage-- it's--it's wrong for so many reasons. Stephanie, I'm really sorry, but just so you know, I-I'm not giving up on Liam.
Katie: So your dad didn't say anything about this family vacation?
Liam: Uh, no. He probably wanted to surprise me.
Katie: Yeah. He's--he's full of surprises these days. I mean, Steffy now has a seat on the Spencer board, and he's planning family excursions to Mexico. Liam, we have got to take a stand. We can't go along with this.
Steffy: You still haven't said, amigo-- this whole holiday shindig in Mexico?
Steffy: Is Katie thrilled or not?
Bill: Are you kidding me? She's already whipped out her sombrero.
Steffy: Oh, my God.
Bill: She can't wait. Seriously, I think this little trip is just the ticket for some much-needed family bonding.
Steffy: Mm. And we all know how much that means to your wife.
Bill: It's important, Steffy.
Bill: All right, now listen, I haven't talked to Liam about the trip yet. I wanted to run it by you first.
Steffy: Okay. What if I give it a big thumbs-down?
Bill: Hmm. Well, if you do that, I will have to find some way to change your mind.
Steffy: Oh. (Chuckles) And how exactly would you do that?
Bill: Are you saying no? Because if you are, you should realize by now that Dollar Bill Spencer...
Together: Never takes no for an answer.
Bill: Very good. Very good.
Bill: Hey, I have personally seen to every detail of this trip we're gonna leave on the Spencer jet the day after Christmas. We're gonna go down to this wonderful, quaint, romantic little cabana hotel just outside Cabo. I've got a private chef. We will not want for anything-- food, drink, magnificent beaches, the most incredible snorkeling you have ever seen in your life. It is the perfect romantic getaway... for the four of us.
Steffy: What if Katie won't go? Bill, she despises being around me.
Bill: Katie will go.
Steffy: How do you know?
Bill: Because as much as she despises being around you, the last thing he would want is me being around you without her. So you're on board, right? Hmm? Fun in the sun down Mexico way for the whole Spencer famiglia.
Bill: Well, pack light. You won't need much more than a bikini.
Liam: Is it really the end of the world, Katie? I mean, you and my dad, my wife and I vacationing in one of the most amazing spots on the globe as a family?
Katie: Is that how you see this?
Liam: Well, it's obviously how dad sees this. Otherwise, he wouldn't be making these plans.
Katie: He wants me to accept Steffy as part of this family. He's willing to do anything to make that happen.
Liam: I know, including subjecting us to an awful week of fun in the sun, sailing, snorkeling, kicking back--oh, you're right. It sounds like torture.
Katie: Liam, you know why we have to keep them apart
Katie: When they're together, there's chemistry. You see it and I see it. This could be a very volatile situation.
Liam: Katie, you don't honestly believe that.
Katie: Maybe it's subconscious. I don't know. But we're not doing anyone any favors by ignoring it.
Liam: You're not gonna let this go, are you?
Katie: (Sighs) I know how deeply you loved Hope.
Katie: And what I don't understand-- what I can't understand is that when you found out that Steffy locked her in that gondola, that she kept you two apart, that she manipulated this marriage, why didn't you go to her? Why didn't you run to her?
Liam: I did.
Katie: You did?
Liam: Yeah, I did. I went straight to Hope, and she was already locking lips with Thomas, so--
Katie: So what? Why should that stop you?
Liam: It's not... (Groans) It's not that. It's... what Thomas said about--about how I need to let go of Hope because I'm hurting her. I mean, look, my mind was in a million different places at once, but I could tell... that he was right. I mean, Steffy's my wife. No matter how that happened, it's--it is a reality. And me constantly, you know, running back to Hope, running back to Hope, I can't do that. It's just salt on the wound, Katie. It's not fair.
Katie: I can see how much you still love her.
Katie: (Sighs) I can, and it's-- it's not gonna go away, Liam.
Katie: More and more, you're gonna lie awake in bed at night, and you're gonna think, "what happened to my hopes and my dreams?" It's not too late to change things.
Stephanie: You saw Jackie?
Eric: (Clears throat)
Stephanie: You didn't find out who stole the designs?
Katie: Listen, I know that you have feelings for Steffy, too. But this marriage was based on lies. Liam, it shouldn't even be legal.
Liam: Katie, come on, just--
Katie: No, no, no. Come on. Please. You--you have-- you have to listen to me. I know this is complicated, but we can't ignore Steffy's history with your father. They--they were involved-- passionately involved.
Liam: I know that, Katie, and it was wrong. It was wrong because he's married to you.
Liam: But that's over.
Katie: Is it?
Liam: Yeah. Well--
Katie: I mean... (scoffs) are you certain that this holiday vacation is just a family excursion? I mean...
Katie: You deserve better than this, and so do I. Steffy should not be a part of this family. Hope should be. And if you're honest with yourself, you'll agree with me.
Liam: Yeah? Oh, right, yeah. No, I'll be there. Yeah. I gotta go
Katie: You have a lot of thinking to do. (Sighs)
Stephanie: So you saw Jackie, and you didn't get any more information from her than I did.
Eric: That's right. What about Beverly? Did you track her down?
Stephanie: I did. She didn't steal the designs. It was a terrible thing to accuse that poor kid. (Sighs)
Eric: Patch things up with her?
Stephanie: Oh, well, I don't know for sure. But it was an amazing day. I learned a lot about her and all those young people that live down there with her. (Sighs)
Eric: Wow. Tell me all about that.
Stephanie: I will. But first things first. We have a thief here! And I want to find out who it is. I want to know who helped Jackie steal these designs, and I want to prosecute them. And I want Jackie and that thief in jail.
Pam: I was watching you and Eric the whole time.
Jackie: He didn't see you, did he?
Pam: But what's gonna happen to me, Jackie? Am I going to prison?
Jackie: Oh, honey, don't be silly. Of course not. (Chuckles) Look, this worked for Sally. It's going to work for us, too.
(Door slams closed)
Steffy: You're still determined to get me out of this family.
Katie: Oh, you overheard?
Steffy: It's wrong, you know, telling my husband to end our marriage.
Katie: He married the wrong woman.
Steffy: Did he say that to you?
Katie: It's so obvious that he still loves Hope.
Steffy: Okay, you see what you want to see.
Katie: I think that Liam feels that this marriage is a mistake.
Steffy: Then why hasn't he left me? I'm not holding him at gunpoint.
Katie: Because he believes he's made a commitment, and should honor that.
Steffy: And he has made a commitment. And he should honor it.
Katie: Well, there are lots of things that people should and shouldn't do.
Steffy: (Scoffs) Okay. Is this about Bill and me?
Katie: (Chuckles) Well, you must understand why that might bother me.
Steffy: You know, of--of course I do. Katie, things happened-- inappropriate things, all right?
Katie: Yes, with my husband and now you're married to his son.
Steffy: And I love his son. Look I understand your concerns, all right?
Katie: Really? You do? You know what it's like to have the man that you love whispering in someone else's ear and planning a future with her?
Steffy: It never should have happened.
Katie: No, it shouldn't have.
Steffy: But that is in the past. I have no desire for your husband. And--and it's ridiculous. I love Liam. We're married. We're totally committed to each other. And I have a real issue with you telling my husband to be with somebody else. I am not some kind of home wrecker.
Katie: Well, that's debatable. And I intend to protect my marriage and my niece.
Steffy: Okay. (Sighs) I-I-I don't--I don't know where this is coming from-- maybe your insecurities?
Steffy: But look, I am not a threat to you. I'm not gonna make a-a-a move onto Bill, all right? But this--this feud you have-- I am a Spencer, and you need to accept it, and we just really got to put this behind us.
Katie: I think you're asking an awful lot.
Steffy: Katie, I understand your issues and why-- my history with Bill, the way my marriage happened. But Liam has had every chance to leave me and be with Hope, and he hasn't. He's not chained to me. Our marriage is gonna last, and, Katie, you really need to accept this.
Katie: Steffy, I wish things were different. I really do. But they're not. And things have happened that are not right.
Steffy: Okay. I admit that I was aggressive in getting Liam to marry me. I admit that. I went after what I wanted. And I believe--you know what? I still do believe that I am best for Liam. But I cannot walk in here and hear you telling my husband to leave me and to be with Hope. It's wrong. And frankly, it's really cruel. Look, I am completely committed to my husband. I put him first. I absolutely adore him. I satisfy him in every way. Katie, I... (Scoffs) I'm asking you, please, can we just put this behind us? Will you accept me into the family?
