Hope: I saw you, Beverly, taking pictures of the whole collection, and then suddenly, they end up on the Jackie M. runway? I'm sorry, but it's hard to believe that that's a coincidence.
Beverly: I erased those pictures. You saw me.
Hope: Did you have them saved on a computer, too?
Beverly: What? No.
Ridge: Already e-mailed from your phone?
Beverly: I didn't do it.
Stephanie: Why do you continue to lie? I mean, it's so apparent this is exactly what you've done.
Jackie: Hmm, the effect that you have on Pam...
Nick: Well, ah, the joy of curling a woman's toes.
Jackie: You don't seem to mind her.
Nick: I think it's a fair trade, Mother. We get what we need, and so does she.
Jackie: Yeah? Well, you just keep doing whatever it is that you are doing, because this line is a hit, Nicky. Orders are pouring in from today's show. (Chuckles) I rather like being in this knockoff business, don't you?
Pam: I've got a confession to make, Sailor. When I used to work here, I was sweet on you like banana cream pie. (Laughs)
Nick: Well, Pam, aren't you engaged to Stephen?
Pam: Not anymore.
Jackie: Jackie M.'s in a bit of a pickle at the moment.
Jackie: Nick-- Nicky-- he could lose everything. If he doesn't get his hands on some good designs, he actually could lose the company.
Jackie: You could help him.
Pam: So let's see... (Gasps) (Gasps) (Gasps)
Nick: These are outstanding.
Pam: And Eric's got a ton, too. Want me to get 'em all for you? A handshake? Really? (Laughs) I don't think so. We are sealing this deal with a kiss, Mister. (Gasps)
Oliver: Yes. Mm-hmm. Right. Right. (Whispering) Go ahead, with it, Audrey.
Pam: Hey, Oliver.
Oliver: Yeah, sure. Uh, yeah, I-I'll, uh, I'll tell him, uh, you called, okay? Finally. Where have you been?
Pam: Baking. Stephanie said I could.
Oliver: It's been crazy around here.
Pam: Really? Why? Wh-what's going on?
Oliver: You haven't heard?
Pam: Me? No. What? I haven't heard anything.
Oliver: Our designs were stolen.
Oliver: Jackie M. had them all, and she presented them at their fashion show.
Pam: Holy macaroni.
Oliver: Terrible, right?
Pam: (Exhales slowly)
Oliver: I mean, who would do such a thing?
Pam: (Sighs) Yeah
Oliver: Yes? Uh, oh, Thorne, I'm sorry. Uh, yeah, I-I don't know what we're gonna do.
Stephanie: I trusted you. We all trusted you. We gave you a really wonderful opportunity here.
Hope: And this is how you show your thanks?
Beverly: Okay, you see? This is why I didn't want to take the internship to begin with. I knew something like this was gonna happen.
Hope: What? That you would steal?
Beverly: No! That something would go wrong. Something always does, and I get blamed.
Hope: Well, Beverly, do you think there's a connection there?
Beverly: Look, I don't know the first thing about fashion. I barely even know who Jackie Marone is. How would I steal designs for her? I came because you said you wanted to help me, and I believed you. Why must I learn the same damn lesson over an over again to trust anyone? (Scoffs) I'm fired, right?
Beverly: Good. I'm outta here.
Stephanie: No, you're not! You stay right here, Missy. You're not going anywhere. I'm gonna get some answers. I'm gonna go see Jackie.
Oliver: Yeah, I'll hold.
Oliver: Hey, what'd they want to see you for?
Hope: Well, that was probably a mistake. (Sighs)
Brooke: Letting her leave?
Eric: (Sighs) I don't know what else we could have done. I mean, there's no real proof.
Hope: (Sighs) It was her.
Eric: Yeah, still...
Ridge: What do we know about this girl? Anything?
Brooke: Just what your mother told us.
Hope: Mm, I mean, if we can believe any of it. Miss Beverly "Hills."
Eric: Yeah, that cannot be her real last name.
Hope: No, no, it--it's not. It's just--sh-she told a story about her mom naming her Beverly because of the city, you know, hoping that she' rich and famous one day.
Eric: Yeah, well...
Hope: I... I-I don't know. It's just-- it's hard to believe anything that she says.
Jackie: Oh, back so soon?
Stephanie: I just came over to tell you a couple of things.
Stephanie: First of all, it wasn't so hard to figure out who your little spy was. She's been fired. But I do think it was rather heartless of you to go after such a gullible young girl. Easy enough, I'm sure, to bribe, considering her circumstances.
Stephanie: I hope you gave Beverly enough money to make it worth her while. But knowing you and how tight you are, you probably only gave her a couple of hundred dollars. Imagine using... (Chuckles) A young kid like that, just aged out of the foster care system. She probably thought she hit pay dirt.
Jackie: Foster care?
Stephanie: Mm-hmm. It's a terrible thing that she did to us, considering how kind we were. But I have to say, using her to do your dirty work was absolutely reprehensible.
Jackie: I know that you probably won't believe me, but I have absolutely no idea who you are talking about. I have never heard of this girl.
Stephanie: (Laughs) Right. Right. Right.
Jackie: I do not know her. She didn't steal a thing.
Dayzee: Beverly, what is going on? I just got your text. What do you mean, "You’re done"?
Beverly: I'm beyond done, Dayzee. I am not putting up with that.
Dayzee: Look, I know an internship isn't glamorous. I mean, you gotta do all the boring grunt work, but it's all part of learning the business.
Beverly: Yeah, jail?
Beverly: I knew something like this was gonna happen. (Voice cracks)
Dayzee: What's up? What's wrong? What's going on?
Beverly: They want to call the cops on me, that's what's going on, Dayzee.
Dayzee: I can see that you're upset. Beverly, why do they want to call the cops? You didn't do anything...
Beverly: Oh, great. You think so, too?
Dayzee: No, no, I'm just... what happened?
Beverly: “Stay right here," she said, like I have to answer to her.
Dayzee: Who, Stephanie?
Beverly: (Scoffs) I'm not her prisoner. Treating me like a criminal--like I'd steal anything from her.
Dayzee: Whoa, steal?
Beverly: Oh, and that Hope... (Growls) She acts all nice and friendly and... (Scoffs)
Dayzee: Okay, okay, okay, okay. Just talk to me. Something was stolen?
Beverly: This other company had a fashion show today, Jackie M. They showed stolen designs, everything that was supposed to be in the Forrester show. And guess who gets blamed for it? That's right--me... (Voice cracks) Like always.
Pam: Thanks so much, Scott.
Eric: Pam, good, you're back.
Pam: Oh, hi. Uh, you need some coffee?
Ridge: No, we'd like you to set up some interviews. We're looking to hire a private investigator.
Pam: Uh, s-say what?
Ridge: A private investigator. You heard that Jackie M. stole our designs, right?
Pam: Yes. Y-yes, I'm so sorry, for both of you.
Ridge: The good news is we think we know who did it.
Eric: Stephanie trusted her. She brought her into the business.
Pam: But there's no proof?
Eric: Exactly. That's why we want to hire somebody.
Ridge: Mother thinks she can get a confession out of Jackie.
Pam: Oh, I-I don't think she'd tell.
Ridge: Probably not. Beverly certainly won't admit it, either.
Ridge: The new intern. It seems likely it's her. It's only a matter of time before we prove it. Buzz me when you get some investigators lined up, okay?
Pam: Yeah, of course.
Eric: Let's get back to this.
Ridge: Come on.
Pam: (Inhales deeply) (Sighs) Wow. (Sighs) (Sighs)
Pam: (Quietly) Nick! Nick, hey, can I come to see you?
Nick: More designs are ready?
Pam: No. No. Th-this is causing way too much trouble. Innocent people are being hurt now. I mean, sticking it to Stephanie was one thing, but, Nick-- (Indistinct conversation)
Nick: Pam, are you there?
Pam: (Sighs) Hurting Ridge and Eric like this, a-and now-- now th-they're accusing this young girl of doing it. Please, I-- m-maybe a pep talk from my number one sailor will help, but I-I don't know. Can I come see you?
Nick: Of course you can come over. I'm right here. Just calm down, and be careful.
Pam: Okay, I can come? I'm coming.
Brooke: So Pam's calling investigators?
Hope: I don't feel like we need one. I really think that it was her.
Eric: Well, maybe, maybe not. At least an investigator could prove it, one way or the other.
Ridge: Track the e-mails from her phone. Cross-check when Jackie ordered materials.
Eric: (Sighs) Mm-hmm.
Brooke: Wait a minute. Didn't Beverly starting working last week?
Eric: Yeah, about that. Yeah.
Brooke: And that would give Jackie enough time to put a show together?
Hope: Well, uh, it would if they were working around the clock. Uh... I saw her taking the pictures. It... it ha--it has to be her.
Eric: I'm not sure that makes any sense. I mean, she would have had to have access to all the designs from day one, and she was still trying to find her way around the building. She was still learning names.
Brooke: And then to get the designs to Jackie M., uh, and how would they even know to contact her in the first place?
Hope: Oh, no. Did we accuse the wrong person?
Beverly: I should have known better. Why I got excited about some internship...
Dayzee: Stephanie just-- she wouldn't accuse you without a reason.
Beverly: Okay, I was taking some pictures of some of the dresses.
Beverly: They were pretty I don't know. You know, I can't afford dresses like that, and I guess I thought it'd be nice to look at them every now and then on my phone. Anyway, Hope caught me. I didn't know it was something that wasn't okay to do.
Beverly: I apologized, deleted the pictures.
Dayzee: And then they showed up on Jackie M.'s runway.
Beverly: (Voice breaks) It wasn't me.
Dayzee: I know. I know.
Stephanie: How dense do you think I am?
Jackie: I don't know this Beverly girl.
Stephanie: Okay... then. Uh, well, at least you'll be back to just designing your own subpar designs.
Jackie: It wasn't her.
Stephanie: It wasn't her?
Stephanie: So you admit it? It just wasn't Beverly.
Jackie: I didn't say that, Stephanie. You mentioned she was new.
Jackie: How new?
Stephanie: A week.
Jackie: A week. Okay, so if I had some help in stealing your designs, enough to put on a fashion show, don't you think I would have needed slightly more than a week?
Jackie: I mean, no one can turn out a collection overnight.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) No. Hope caught her taking the photographs of the designs.
Jackie: Well, she may have been taking photographs but not for me. Look, I-- I've got no loyalty to this girl. Why would I defend her? Please believe me. You're wrong about her.
Stephanie: All right, it wasn't Beverly. Who then?
Jackie: Oh, nobody. I've told you, its coincidence.
Stephanie: Oh, right, please! You know I'll figure this out, and when I do...
Stephanie: You know, if you would just tell me the truth, it would save me so much time and so much trouble. Okay, play these little games if you want, but you know I'll figure this out. And when I find the person, we're going to arrest them, and we're going to prosecute them, and I'm not fooling around, Jackie. So you tell your friend the thief-- (Scoffs) You tell your friend the thief, I am coming after them.
Oliver: Yeah, I'll get him the message. Sure.
Madison: Pam's gone again?
Oliver: Yes, and I have to get down to the photo studio. I'm sorry. (Sighs)
Madison: All right, thanks for your help again.
Oliver: No problem.
Madison: I swear, if she's at home baking right now... (Sighs)
Hope: Hey, Madison.
Hope: Um, do you have phone numbers for the interns?
Madison: Uh, there should be a contact list around here somewhere.
Hope: Okay, great. I need to get a hold of Beverly, like, right now.
Stephanie: What do you mean, get a hold of Beverly? Where is she?
Hope: Uh, well, we couldn't exactly keep her against her will. (Sighs) Stephanie, I think we made a mistake.
Stephanie: I do, too.
Hope: (Sighs) Did you talk to Jackie?
Stephanie: She never heard of her.
Hope: (Sighs) Oh.
Stephanie: And I believe her.
Hope: Okay, yeah, yeah. I mean, the timing, it just--it doesn't--
Stephanie: Yeah, it doesn't work out, and that's exactly what Jackie pointed out to me. Beverly hasn't been working here long enough.
Hope: Stephanie, I feel horrible.
Madison: Here's the contacts for the interns.
Stephanie: Oh, is there an address there for Beverly?
Stephanie: I'm-- I'm gonna go to her house. And... I'm going to apologize.
Hope: Okay, I'm coming with you.
Ridge: All that time we put in, effort wasted.
Brooke: They took our designs. (Sighs) They cut into our profit. But I know you, Ridge. This will inspire you.
Brooke: You and your father, you'll find that place, and you will have that creative surge. And once you do, nobody's gonna be talking about the Jackie M. showing.
Ridge: Oh, Logan.
Ridge: I'm so glad I have you.
Brooke: As long as we have each other...
Brooke: We can survive anything.
Dayzee: Well, Stephanie shouldn't have accused you. I mean, you took pictures. Big deal-- that doesn't mean anything.
Beverly: Yeah, tell her that, or Hope. I mean, they don't care. They got the idea in their heads, and nothing was gonna change their minds.
Dayzee: Well, let's go back. I mean, we can explain it.
Beverly: Let them think that I stole it. I don't care. I'm done with them.
Hope: Okay, so we're gonna get on the freeway up here and then head east of Whittier. We're gonna find her. (Sighs) We're gonna make this right. (Sighs)
