Katie: (Breathing heavily)
Bill: Katie. Katie!
Steffy: Your sister needs to relax, Brooke.
Brooke: What did you do?
Steffy: See? You Logans, always jumping to conclusions. If I can't hug my father-in-law without his wife freaking out--
Brooke: You were being inappropriate.
Steffy: She overreacted, just like she did with Liam, telling him to annul our marriage. Brooke, she is out of control, and if she doesn't rein it in, Bill's gonna cut her loose.
Stephanie: These are so wrinkled. Why didn't we send them out to a laundry?
Dayzee: Beats me. Why don't you tell me that? So have you talked to Pam?
Stephanie: No, she won't return my calls.
Dayzee: Have you been to her apartment?
Stephanie: (Sighs) Why didn't I just serve those lemon bars?
Thomas: Two coffees, please.
Thomas: (Sighs) You were amazing at Thanksgiving, Hope.
Hope: Oh... (Sighs) You know, I just did what Ridge told me to do.
Thomas: He wants you to be happy, and he knows you're not gonna be until you give up on Liam and realize how much more awesome it is to be with me.
Thomas: Thank you.
Hope: Oh, thanks.
Thomas: Mmm. Cheers.
Dayzee: You know, Pam isn't upset because you didn't serve her lemon bars. (Chuckles)
Stephanie: I didn't approve the idea of the wedding. I don't think he's right for her. I was really genuinely concerned.
Dayzee: I get it. You didn't approve.
Stephanie: Well, am I not entitled to my opinion?
Dayzee: Of course you're entitled to it.
Dayzee: Nobody has to like it, and Pam didn't. She let you know that.
Hope: (Sighs) Oh, thank you. (Sighs)
Thomas: Mm-hmm. (Sighs)
Hope: Your, uh, your grandmother is over there. I should go thank her for dinner the other night.
Thomas: Whoa. Hey, do you want to talk Stephanie, or do you want to talk to me?
Hope: Uh, well, that depends. Are you going to bring up my lovely toast to the newlyweds again? Because I believe--
Thomas: Well, it was moving-- the fact that you could find it within yourself to still wish the best for Steffy and Liam.
Hope: I didn't want to do it.
Thomas: But you did, as hard it was.
Hope: Thomas, please don't make me out to be a saint. I-I-I only did it because I had to, so can we drop it?
Thomas: (Sighs) My sister is gonna have to find someone else to mess with.
Brooke: Leave Katie alone.
Steffy: Uh, Katie is the one who needs to back off, not me.
Brooke: What has she ever done except to try to protect her marriage?
Steffy: I really wish you would focus on your marriage instead of being all caught up in mine.
Brooke: She knows how much Liam and Hope were in love.
Steffy: Were. Past-tense. That part of Liam's life is over.
Brooke: Well, then anything she has to say won't make a difference.
Steffy: Brooke, Bill is fed up, and I've tried talking to Katie, but she won't listen to me.
Brooke: Because she doesn't trust you.
Steffy: Okay, then you talk to her.
Steffy: And you'd better move fast, because she is driving her husband away.
Liam: Uh, sorry. I'll come back. I'll...
Steffy: No, no. Hi.
Steffy: Missed you.
Liam: Everything okay?
Steffy: Mm, mm-hmm. Everything's fine. Yeah, Brooke is gonna talk to Katie. She's not gonna be a problem for us anymore.
Bill: Hang on. I'm calling 9-1-1.
Katie: (Sighs) I'm fine. I'm fine. (Sighs)
Bill: Are you sure?
Katie: I hate feeling like this. (Sighs shakily) I'm just-- I'm--I'm--I'm stressed out, and I'm sure you know why.
Stephanie: You called, and you said you wanted to talk about something.
Dayzee: (Gasps) Yes, someone, actually um, it's a friend of mine. Her name is Beverly.
Dayzee: She's a great kid. She's motivated. She's super smart. And I would love to give her a job here...
Stephanie: Well, go ahead.
Dayzee: But I don't have the hours.
(Cell phone rings)
Stephanie: I don't mean to be rude, but I have to take this call.
Dayzee: It's fine.
Stephanie: Thank you.
Hope: Hey. (Laughs)
Dayzee: I didn't even see you come in here.
Hope: Oh, you were busy with Stephanie.
Dayzee: Oh, yeah. I don't want to interrupt.
Dayzee: I mean, you guys are on a date. Hmm?
Hope: Uh, a date? I--oh, I don't--I don't know.
Dayzee: It looks like one.
Hope: I don't know if we're calling it that. (Laughs)
Dayzee: (Chuckles) Well, it looks like a good one, just judging from the smile on your face.
Hope: It's not hard not to smile around Thomas.
Hope: He's a sweetheart.
Dayzee: (Laughs) Scenery's not bad, either.
Hope: Yeah. (Laughs)
Dayzee: (Chuckles) Seriously, like, every woman that comes in here has a crush on him.
Hope: Does he come here a lot?
Dayzee: Yeah, he's, um, you know, he's been giving a lot of his time. Um, would you excuse me, actually? There is someone here to see me.
Hope: Yeah, of course.
Dayzee: Hey. Stephanie...
Dayzee: This is Beverly, who I was telling you about.
Stephanie: Oh. Mm-hmm.
Dayzee: Beverly, this is Stephanie Forrester, the woman that changed my life. (Chuckles)
Stephanie: Oh, I pay her to say those things.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) Hi, Beverly. She changed my life.
Brooke: I can't believe Katie's marriage is in jeopardy.
Liam: She probably doesn't think it is.
Brooke: Do you?
Liam: Do I agree with my wife? Yeah, I do.
Steffy: All right, make it happen. You happy now? Liam's backed me up. Yeah, she thinks I'm, uh, workin' an angle.
Brooke: I don't think you care about my sister's marriage at all.
Steffy: Bill isn't asking the impossible. He hasn't ordered us to be friends. He just wants Katie to accept that Liam and I, we're married. Hope's accepted it. Why can't your sister?
Liam: That is really important to him, Brooke.
Steffy: Brooke, please, talk to her. Make her understand what is at stake.
Bill: Call your doctor.
Katie: I don't need to call my doctor. And I don't need you treating me like I'm gonna fall apart. I need you to listen to me. Steffy is--
Bill: Steffy... Steffy is Liam's wife. She's a member of this family now.
Katie: Thanks to you.
Bill: You're upset that I got involved.
Bill: I get that. But, Katie, I will not have you telling my son that he should have his marriage annulled.
Katie: What's this?
Katie: (Scoffs) Work. This--this is what I have to deal with-- this-- every day. You brought this woman back into our lives. Now this is what I have to face every day, your worst decision!
Bill: Steffy will only be a problem if you make her one.
Katie: No, no, no, this is not about me. This is about you. This is about your feelings for her. You were infatuated with her. You planned a future with her!
Bill: Her future is with Liam now.
Katie: So you don't feel anything when you-- when you look at these? Nothing, huh? Nothing?
Katie: Don't lie to me. Of course you do.
Stephanie: So, um, uh, Dayzee said that the two of you met at the shelter.
Beverly: Yeah, she helped me out a lot.
Stephanie: You seem, um, awfully young to be on your own.
Dayzee: Yeah, I mean, she aged out of the foster care system.
Stephanie: So... so that means you don't have any family or extended family?
Beverly: And, mnh, never knew my dad. My mom's locked up.
Stephanie: Oh, that's-- that's tough.
Beverly: And Dayzee found me somewhere to stay. It's a good place. I'm lucky.
Dayzee: But it's not where you should be, though. I mean, you've worked too hard, kept up with school. Uh, she has her G.E.D.
Stephanie: Oh, congratulations.
Beverly: I want to work, and there's just not a lot of jobs out there.
Dayzee: Trust me, if I had an open spot here, it would be yours.
Stephanie: Well, what sort of work do you think you'd be interested in?
Beverly: (Sighs) I don't know.
Stephanie: Um, well, do you have any hobbies? Sometimes, that can, you know... (Chuckles) Show what you might be interested in.
Dayzee: Actually, she is waiting for her financial aid to come through for college. Her test scores were great, but with the budget cuts, it's just kind of all up in the air right now.
Stephanie: Yeah, I know. It's--it's very difficult to get any kind of aid to go to college, yeah.
Dayzee: Well, I mean, especially for Beverly, with her background. She's a great kid, though.
(Pats Beverly's arm)
Thomas: So what were you and Dayzee talking about?
Hope: Uh, you.
Thomas: She wasn't warning you to stay away from me?
Hope: No, just the opposite, actually. Mm-hmm.
Thomas: Good. I like the way that woman thinks.
Hope: She likes you, too.
Thomas: You jealous?
Hope: No. (Laughs)
Thomas: Dang. (Chuckles)
Katie: Admit it, you feel something.
Bill: Of course, I feel something, from a business point of view.
Bill: This is advertising, Katie. I'm supposed to feel something. That's the point. That's why thy made Steffy the lead model.
Katie: Yeah, 'cause she's beautiful and hot.
Bill: And most importantly, my daughter-in-law.
Katie: Thanks to you.
Bill: I did this for my son.
Katie: So you can just turn off your feelings, just like that?
Bill: Yes, Katie, I can. I'm a pragmatic man. I don't drive down a road that leads nowhere. I stop, and I turn around. And that's what I need you to do right now. (Door opens)
Liam: Hey, Dad. Man, what is it with me, today?
Steffy: Um, you know what? We'll, uh, we'll come back.
Bill: You'll stay. I'm gonna make this short and sweet because I am tired of the bickering.
Katie: (Clears throat)
Bill: We are going to come together because we are a family.
Bill: You and Steffy are going to learn to get along, to work together because I have appointed her to the Spencer board of directors.
Katie: You what?
Bill: This isn't how I wanted to tell you, but there it is.
Steffy: Ill, I-I don't-- I don't know what to say.
Katie: Yeah, neither do I.
Bill: There's nothing to say. It's done. We're on the same team, so you better play nice. Liam, come with me. I have to sow you something--
Katie: (Scoffs) No! You're not walking out of here after dropping a bomb like that.
Bill: Its team Spencer, Katie. Work it out.
Katie: (Sighs) (Sighs)
Stephanie: So you don't have any idea at all what you think you might want to do?
Beverly: I know I want more than what I've got.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) Who doesn't? (Chuckles) That's fair enough. You must have some goals.
Beverly: I want to get out on my own.
Beverly: I want to go to college.
Beverly: I want to be somebody. I mean, not-- not anybody important or famous. You know, my mom was into all that-- celebrity magazines, and she-she named me Beverly because that's where all the, uh, rich, famous people live-- Bev-Beverly Hills.
Beverly: But I don't care about that. You know, I just want to be somebody who matters.
Stephanie: Who matters, makes a difference in the world. Now, um, okay, if Dayzee, um, if Dayzee told you that it was all right to come with me, would you? I'd like to take you someplace and show you something you might be interested in.
Stephanie: Okay. Good.
Thomas: Can't get your mind off him, huh?
Hope: (Sighs) I'm sorry.
Thomas: Don't be.
Hope: I just loved him so much.
Thomas: I get it.
Hope: Do you?
Thomas: Like you lost something that made your life whole.
Hope: Wow, that is how I've been acting, isn't it?
Thomas: Well, you planned your whole future with him, Hope.
Hope: Yeah, I did, but you know, plans change, whether you like it or not, and... (Sighs) (Laughs) (Laughing) Oh, my God.
Thomas: What? What's so funny?
Hope: Uh, me. I'm a riot. I'm sitting here moping about a guy who turned from me and then married your sister in a New York minute, while meanwhile, I have this amazing, charming, sexy guy who wants nothing more than to just be her with me, and I can't stop thinking about this other fool. (Laughs) What is wrong with me?
Thomas: Absolutely nothing is wrong with you.
Hope: Thank you. That was a rhetorical question.
Thomas: Couldn't help myself.
Hope: (Laughs) God.
Thomas: (Chuckles) Do you realize what just happened?
Hope: What? (Laughs)
Thomas: You laughed, a real good laugh about your oh, so precious Liam.
Hope: I did.
Hope: Does that mean I'm healing?
Thomas: I see joy, mirth, dare I say happiness?
Hope: (Giggles) You're a nut.
Thomas: You're beautiful.
Hope: Thank you.
Bill: What do you think?
Liam: I-is this mine?
Bill: New office, new attitude.
Liam: (Gasps) Why-- (Gasps) Dad, I don't know what to say. That... thank you. You didn't, uh, get new offices for Katie and Steffy, did you? 'Cause if anybody needs a new attitude around here, it's our wives.
Katie: You might as well go. I have nothing to say to you.
Steffy: Sure you do, Katie.
Katie: I need to talk to my husband.
Steffy: Okay, tell me what I can do to make this easier for you.
Katie: Oh, I think you know what you can do.
Steffy: I didn't know Bill was gonna put me on the board.
Katie: You didn't refuse.
Steffy: You heard him. He wants us working together.
Steffy: Katie, I'm willing to do that. You are not a Logan anymore. I am not a Forrester. We are Spencers now.
Katie: I didn't have to trick anyone to get to be one.
Steffy: Okay, you know what? I'm not even gonna respond to that.
Katie: That's because you can't.
Steffy: That's because it's not gonna get us anywhere. Katie, let's just put the past behind us. Look, I know Liam likes you. He wants to be close to you. And I don't want him to pull away because the way you treat me, but he will.
Katie: And so will Bill. Is that what you're saying?
Steffy: No, I-I didn't say that.
Katie: But that's what you're implying, that my marriage is somehow in trouble over this.
Steffy: Okay, you know what? (Sighs) I won't dis your marriage if you don't dis mine. Enough, okay? I'm calling a truce. Game over. Can we do that? Can we find a way to get along? Will you accept me as your daughter-in-law?
