Eric: Fashion preview is right around the corner.
Ridge: Very critical time for us now.
Thorne: We took a big hit when we had to shelf Hope for the Future wedding tie-ins...
Thorne: So we have to push hard to recover our losses.
Rick: That's what we have Dad for.
Eric: We're gonna get back to our roots, Boys. We're gonna put the emphasis back where it belongs-- on couture.
Stephanie: I think these are some of the best work you've ever done.
Eric: Thank you very much. But, uh, designs are only part of what we do here. We have to pull together, work together as a family. When we do that, we're unstoppable.
Nick: Late payment charges, notice of default.
Jackie: You are pushing too hard. You're stressed.
Nick: Yes, Mother, I'm stressed
Jackie: You worked all through Thanksgiving.
Nick: Well, so did you. It's crisis time. We need to save this company or...
Jackie: Nicky, we're well on our way with the designs that Pam's getting us.
Nick: But we're going to need a lot more, so clearly I have my work cut out.
Jackie: You know, you've been a very good sport about this.
Nick: She's a nice lady-- a little bit quirky, but she hasn't had an easy life. But all she wants is to feel a man's arms around her, a little warmth, a little companionship, some company. It's not that crazy. I know how she feels.
Jackie: You know, what Pam is doing for our company, it's invaluable and I know that she is very fond of you. But, Sweetheart, you need a real relationship.
Nick: Mother, are you serious?
Nick: Let's worry about this company, shall we?
Nick: And not my love life. Now luckily, Jackie M. is getting what we want, and Pam is what she wants.
Nick: It's win-win. So, you, don't rock the boat.
Jackie: (Scoffs) Nicky. Oh, who would have thought we would be reinventing ourselves as an incarnation of Spectra Fashions? (Laughs) I guess it's our homage, isn't it, to dear old Sally?
Brooke: Thank you.
Katie: So what do we owe the pleasure?
Brooke: Yes. You said you wanted to meet us, said it was very important.
Katie: Well, it must be if you're here. Don't you and Bill have a standing lunch date at the steak house?
Justin: Liam is taking my spot today.
Brooke: Is everything all right?
Donna: Justin and I have something to tell you.
Stephanie: Thank you, by the way, to the three of you, for coming to dinner yesterday. It made Thanksgiving really great.
Eric: I was especially glad to see the two of you drop your differences for the day. You know, your mother and I get pretty tired of seeing the two of you butt heads over the years.
Ridge: Yeah, well it's not very easy to see the two of you at odds, either.
Stephanie: Well, okay. That being the case, then I guess I should say "Thank you" for your not-so-gentle nudging. You got your father and I back on track, so thank you, Honey.
Rick: You know, I've been feeling the same way, Dad. And that's why I've decided not to return to International.
Eric: What? Oh, well, you just made my day.
Rick: No, I want to be closer to the family a-and the hart of the business. And I know we got obstacles to overcome, but I think... I think this new line's gonna do it for us.
Eric: Oh, I think you're right. Thank you.
Thorne: Hear! Hear!
Nick: Sally Spectra-- grand ol' dame.
Nick: Sure don't make them like her anymore.
Jackie: Oh, they sure don't. You know, the last I heard, she was in the Greek Islands surrounded by a bevy of cabana boys. Oh, God, if only we could copy her success.
Jackie: (Sighs) Yes?
Nick: We're going to do this.
Jackie: Yes? Can we help you?
Pam: (Russian accent) Actually, Lady, I am here, um, to help you.
Jackie: Oh. (Gasps)
Pam: (Normal voice) Ta-da! (Laughs) I got you!
Jackie: (Laughs) Pam!
Pam: Pretty good, huh?
Jackie: What were you doing dressed up like that?
Pam: Well, I got to keep a low profile, "Jacks." Can't have anybody see me coming in or out.
Nick: Well, we should have known by... (Sniffs) Is that... oh!
Nick: The smell of lemon bars.
Pam: Sweets for the sweet.
Nick: Oh. (Clicks tongue)
Jackie: You wouldn't have happened to bring anything else?
Pam: Not to worry. I've got the goods.
Pam: Two more of Rick's designs.
Jackie: Well, can--can we see them?
Nick: We can, um, peruse them over lemon bars.
Brooke: So... (Sighs) You have something you want to tell us?
Katie: Are you pregnant?
Justin: No. No, we...
Justin: We definitely aren't pregnant.
Katie: Well, then, um, what's going on?
Donna: (Sighs) Uh, we've, uh... Justin and I have decided to end our marriage.
Brooke: What happened?
Donna: Well, I-I guess we just got caught up in, you know, reuniting after all these years of being apart, wanted Marcus's parents to be together. (Sighs)
Justin: We might have moved too quickly.
Donna: I mean, we really tried to work things out, but we finally realized that we're better off as friends than husband and wife.
Katie: I'm so sorry.
Donna: We're okay. We're--we're gonna be okay.
Brooke: Justin, we love you. You will always be a part of our family.
Justin: Thank you so much. Thank you.
Katie: You treated our sister so well. I--we couldn't have asked for a better brother-in-law.
Donna: Okay. Okay, Guys. He's--he's not dying, okay? (Sighs)
Justin: Yeah, I-I'll still be around. We still have a son together.
Justin: And we have a granddaughter to spoil, so...
Donna: Yeah. Yeah, we're... we'll always be a part of each other lives.
Katie: Does Marcus know?
Donna: No. No, not yet, but we're, uh... we're planning on telling him soon.
Justin: Well, I better get back to the office, give you ladies some time.
Justin: We'll talk later?
Brooke: Bye, Justin.
Brooke: Oh, Honey. Donna, how are you doing, really?
Donna: (Sobs) (sighs) Sorry. You know, it--it was the right decision. It was. I just, um... (Sobs) I just don't know what I'm gonna do now. You know, I-I have enough money in the bank, but I have no job, no direction. I... (Sobs) I don't even have a place to live.
Katie: Oh, Donna, come on. You'll stay with Bill and me. We have plenty of room. I'd love to have you.
Brooke: You could stay with me, too-- whatever you want.
Donna: Thank you, Guys. Thank you. I just... (Sighs) I just think I-- I think I should just be alone, you know? Just--I need to sort my head out and... (Sighs) Just-- you know, I think I need to just get away from it all. I-I'm really thinking about just leaving town.
Katie: No. No. Absolutely not you should not bone right now, no.
Donna: Yeah. No, I mean, w-what else am I gonna do?
Brooke: Oh! Wait. I-I think I have the perfect idea for you, the perfect place for you to go.
Pam: Now before we get down to business, you have to have a lemon bar. Would you believe I made six dozen of these for Thanksgiving, and Stephanie refused to serve them?
Nick: (Scoffs) That is just wrong!
Nick: We love your lemon bars, don't we, Mother?
Jackie: Oh, oh. I'm--I'm quite addicted.
Pam: Oh. The corner pieces are Eric's favorite.
Nick: Mother's, too.
Nick: Eat one.
Pam: Have one, Jackie.
Jackie: Thank you. Oh, it's heavy. (Chuckles)
Nick: Nice. Go on, eat it.
Pam: Now you take a bite.
Nick: Oh. Mm. Mmm.
Pam: No, that is just a nibble, Nick. Come on, take a real bite.
Nick: Mmm. Mmm.
Pam: There you go, Sailor.
Nick: Mm-mmm. (Chuckles)
Jackie: So... mm. What about the designs?
(Cell phone rings)
Nick: Excuse me. Hey, Brooke.
Brooke: Hi. Uh, can you meet me at the "Marlin"?
Nick: The "Marlin"? Why?
Brooke: Uh, well, I need to see you. It--it's really important
Nick: Um... yeah, I'll--I'll be right over.
Pam: That was Brooke?
Pam: You don't--you don't think there's any chance that she found out about what we're doing, do you? Oh, gosh. I hope not. You know when you push your hair to the breaking point?
Stephanie: I just wish Pam wasn't so angry with me. If she just stayed for dinner yesterday, it would have been so nice.
Eric: She'll get over it. You know how she is.
Stephanie: I know, but she's--look, Honey, she's had a rough life, and I'm partially responsible for that.
Eric: Well, yeah. (Chuckles)
Stephanie: I know how much it means to you that Rick's gonna stay in L.A.
Eric: Oh, God. Yeah.
Stephanie: And wouldn't it be nice if the boys really do stop fighting?
Eric: Yeah. We'll see about that.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) It was sweet what he said, though, this morning.
Eric: I know. It meant a lot to him.
Stephanie: Mm-hmm. Thank you.
Stephanie: For hanging in and still loving me.
Eric: Warts and all?
Eric: Warts and all.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) Ridge, Sweetheart, you know, I just have to say you really stepped up, and you really helped put this family back together.
Eric: I want you to take some of that family leadership, Ridge, and apply it to this company. You do that, and we'll have a stronger future than we've ever had before.
Rick: And we got the line to back it up. Between you and Ridge, your new designs are unique, cutting-edge, unlike anything I've ever seen. To be completely frank, I think our new spring preview is gonna kick some ass.
Eric: All right!
Pam: Why do you think Brooke wanted to see Nick?
Jackie: Because they're friends.
Pam: Yeah, well, you don't think there's any chance that maybe she knows what I'm up to?
Jackie: Oh, Pam, I would bet my life that Brooke has absolutely no idea. In fact, none of the Forresters have any idea for that matter.
Pam: Yeah, but I am stealing Eric's designs, Jackie. I could get into a lot of trouble for that. I-I don't want to get into trouble. (Sighs)
Jackie: Oh, Pam, I know you're feeling guilty, but--
Pam: Well, maybe a little. But I am so mad at Stephanie. She has never really cared about my feelings, not once in her life. So why should I be loyal to her, right?
Pam: And everybody else at Forrester, they've--they've never really cared about me, either. I've never felt like I belonged there. You and Nick have always been so kind to me. You always made me feel like I was really at home.
Jackie: (Clicks tongue) You're always welcome her, Pam. (Chuckles) And what you're doing for us-- I mean, you're saving us, Pam. Our company would not survive without your help.
Pam: Well, I want to help you and Nick. That's why I'm doing this-- well, that and the fact that he's totally dreamy. (Laughs)
Pam: Oh, wait. I've got something for you. I am e-mailing you the new designs.
Jackie: Goodie. Goodie. (Laughs)
Pam: (Sighs) How long do you think Nick's gonna be?
Jackie: What? Oh. Not long. Not long.
Pam: I wonder what Brooke wanted.
Donna: Brooke, what are we doing here?
Brooke: Just come down and you'll see. Come on. Hi. Nick, thanks for meeting us.
Nick: Well, hi. Yeah. Donna, didn't know you'd be here.
Donna: I didn't know, either.
Nick: Well, welcome aboard, Ladies. What can I do for you?
Brooke: I have a favor to ask.
Brooke: Donna's been going through a rough time lately.
Donna: Brooke, excuse me.
Brooke: It's okay. He'll understand. Donna and Justin are ending their marriage.
Nick: Oh. Oh, I'm sorry about that.
Donna: Yeah, it was a mutual decision-- you know, decided we were better off as friends.
Nick: Ah. Believe me, I understand.
Brooke: Well, she moved out of Justin's, and she doesn't really know what to do right now. She doesn't want to stay with me or with Katie, and I need to find her a place, you know, maybe where she can wake up and smell fresh air and hear seagulls outside and foghorns in the distance.
Donna: Wait a minute. What--
Nick: "Hear seagulls and foghorns in the distance"?
Nick: Y-you're not thinking that--
Brooke: Yes. Yes. Can she stay here on the "Marlin"?
Ridge: Thorne, you're right. That model did work for us before.
Thorne: You know, I thought that was her.
Ridge: Hey, I have, uh, taken you for granted for far too long. I'm gonna try not to do that anymore.
Thorne: Thanks. And I'll try to cut you some more slack.
Ridge: Like Rick said-- we're brothers, and we need to stick together. Truce?
Eric: Well, this really was a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Stephanie: Yes, it was.
Stephanie: I was so tickled when Sally Spectra called.
Eric: (Laughs) God. Me, too. I love that ol' broad.
Eric: I do not miss the stuff she used to pull, though.
Stephanie: Stealing your designs.
Eric: Stealing designs-- all of it.
Rick: Well, I've got to get to a meeting.
Eric: Oh, wait, wait. I have, uh, one more design to show you. Ladies and gentlemen, the piece de résistance. (Grunts)
Stephanie: (Gasps) Wow, that's stunning!
Rick: I'm telling you, we--we are gonna blow the competition out of the water.
Thorne: What competition? There's not a fashion house in the world that can hang with us. Maybe Jackie M. was close, but there's no way they can come up with designs like this, not even close.
Jackie: Gorgeous. (Gasps) (Sighs) But we'll need more.
Pam: How many more?
Jackie: Oh, a lot more.
Pam: Well, then, I'm gonna need a lot more in return.
Jackie: Oh, I'm sure that Nicky won't have a problem with that, Pam
Pam: Maybe one kiss for every design?
Jackie: (Scoffs) Really, what--what--whatever you want. (Laughs nervously) You're such a lovely woman, Pam. Nicky... (Clears throat) Is very lucky to have found you.
Nick: You want Donna to stay here?
Donna: Nick, I am so sorry. I had no idea that she was gonna say this--Brooke... (Sighs)
Brooke: It's temporary, just until she lands on her feet.
Nick: Right. Well, Brooke, you know that this is... (Chuckles) This is my man cave, right? This is my sacred space.
Donna: And I-I don't want to impose, Brooke. I mean, staying on a boat might sound romantic to some people, but not--not to me...
Nick: (Mouths words)
Donna: Not right now. I mean, I'm kind of already depressed, and you know, staying on a boat, and no career, no life, trying to figure out what I'm going to do, it just might not be such a good idea.
Brooke: Honey, come on. You said you need some time to sort things out, to weigh your options.
Brooke: This is the best place to do that.
Nick: It's really cold in the winter.
Brooke: You don't have to sign a lease-- no long-term commitments.
Nick: You don't know. You--you might have a problem getting seasick.
Brooke: This is the perfect place for you. It'll give you time to think and to just get back up on your feet, okay? That is if it's all right with you.
Nick: I feel I'm being manipulated.
Brooke: (Makes kissing noises)
Nick: Donna, you are more than welcome to stay here on the boat.
Brooke: (Giggles) Thank you.
Donna: (Sighs) Are you--are you sure? (Laughs nervously)
Nick: Yes. Yeah. Sure. Why not?
Nick: No problem.
Donna: Okay. All right. Maybe this could be good for me. M-maybe Brooke is right.
Nick: No--no place to, uh, get rid of your troubles like, you know, the "Marlin."
Brooke: Nick knows better than anybody.
Donna: Right. (Laughs) And change is good, right? Right?
Donna: I mean, sometimes it's hard, but it's--its good.
Donna: And I have been feeling kind of depressed lately, and I-I hate feeling that way, so maybe, yeah... (Sighs)
Brooke: It's always sad to end a marriage, but you're not alone, okay? You have me. You have Katie. Now you have Nick. And we're gonna be here for you to help you through this.
Donna: (Sighs) (Laughs) Okay. Thank you.
