Steffy: Warm you up? And I got coffee, too. (Laughs)

Liam: (Laughs) Well, thanks.

Steffy: You're up early.

Liam: Yeah. Yeah, I couldn't sleep.

Steffy: (Sighs) I had to tell you the truth, Liam.

Liam: Yeah, I know. I'm--I'm glad you did.

Steffy: Mm. It's better this way. You know? Everything out in the open. No more secrets. We know exactly what to expect from each other.

Ridge: Thomas. What are you up to?

Thomas: Uh, I just forgot Steffy asked for these yesterday.

Ridge: Madison was saying you've been humming and whistling all over the building lately.

Thomas: What? No. W-was I?

Ridge: What's her name?

Thomas: (Laughs) What makes you think it has anything to do with a girl?

Ridge: Do I know her?

Thomas: Yeah, you know her pretty well. It's Hope.

Brooke: You aren't saying very much. You don't like the designs?

Hope: Oh, no, they're beautiful.

Brooke: Well, I asked you which one you like the best.

Hope: Um... (Sighs) Um, uh, this one, I guess.

Brooke: Honey, what's wrong? Is it Liam?

Hope: No.

Brooke: If you're not feeling well, you can go home.

Hope: Thomas kissed me.

Brooke: Thomas who?

Hope: Thomas. Thomas. Thomas. We were talking last night, and he was being really sweet and--and supportive, and then things got... I-I-I don't know, but he--he kissed me.

Brooke: (Scoffs)

Steffy: Don't go to the office today.

Liam: (Scoffs) I have to.

Steffy: You're the boss take the day off.

Liam: Have--no. I gotta go to work. I gotta go.

Steffy: You gonna try not to think about it? No, what I did.

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: I--trapping Hope in the gondola and not telling you. You understand why I did that, right?

Liam: We don't have to talk about that anymore.

Steffy: Liam, I know... I know you're still thinking about her.

Liam: (Sighs)

Ridge: When I asked about a woman, I meant somebody you're seeing.

Thomas: Well, I'm not sure if Hope would be interested in that, but if she is... (Chuckles)

Ridge: Interested in what? Wait a minute. You and Hope?

Thomas: Yeah. Dad, I really like her. I mean, she's not Forrester. She's, uh, half Logan, half Sharpe. She's all I can think about. And the way she handled things with Steffy and her commitment to her collection and making -a difference in the world... Hope is the kind of woman I want in my life. And I think I'm exactly the kind of man she needs in hers.

Brooke: Thomas? As in Thomas Forrester?

Hope: Yes, but please don't freak out.

Brooke: Oh, my gosh, Honey. How did that happen?

Hope: I-I-I don't know.

Brooke: You said you were talking.

Hope: Yeah, we were. We were talking about his idea for a new line and my collection and the impact it's had, the effect it's had on people, the way I've affected people.

Brooke: Including him?

Hope: Apparently.

Brooke: (Sighs) This is so weird.

Hope: Yeah.

Brooke: So he's falling for you.

Hope: (Stammers) Okay, but that's crazy, right? That's weird. Like, he--he's--he's gotta know that I'm still in love with Liam.

Brooke: Yeah, he should know that. And if he doesn't, you better make that really clear.

Ridge: Thomas, wait.

Thomas: Dad, please. Don't sound so serious.

Ridge: This is serious, Son. If you and Hope are involved--

Thomas: But we're not involved. I mean, there's an attraction.

Ridge: On your part or hers?

Thomas: (Sighs)

Ridge: Thomas, Hope is coming off a-a broken engagement here.

Thomas: Dad, she's trying to move on.

Ridge: I don't think jumping into something else is really the best way to do that, do you?

Thomas: Oh, come on. Does that really sound like Hope? Connecting with me off the rebound? She's not like that.

Ridge: I don't think this is a good idea.

Thomas: Well, I'm sorry, Dad. You may call the shots in the office, but you don't call the shots in my personal life.

Ridge: Thomas, I'm just concerned.

Thomas: Why?

Ridge: Because I don't really know where this is coming from.

Thomas: I didn't see this coming either. I've never felt this way about Hope. I mean, why would I? She and Liam were headed for the altar. But when she broke off the engagement, watching her deal with the aftermath of Steffy and Liam's marriage... something like that would make most people bitter. But much as she lost, she didn't lose her sense of self or her concern for others. Look, Hope doesn't just talk about principles. She really lives by them. She deserves to be with a man who appreciates that.

Steffy: Hey, you said you were getting dressed, too.

Liam: Uh... (Chuckles) Yeah, no, I am. I am.

Steffy: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Take your time.

Liam: I've gotta go. I gotta go.

Steffy: No. I don't want you to.

Liam: I gotta go.

Steffy: (Groans)

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Liam, um, thank you. Thank you. (Sighs) I so love what we have. And, look, I-I know we're trying to sort things out, but, um, we'll be okay, won't we?

Liam: What does your mood ring say?

Steffy: That... (Chuckles) We're marred.

Liam: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: And I'm still your wife.

Liam: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: For better or for worse. And I mean, you-- you asked me yesterday if I knew what love was, and I couldn't answer you.

Liam: Yeah. (Chuckles)

Steffy: Okay, but look at me. Now--now I can. You know, love is-- is when you're able to tell someone the worst thing you've done and then you wake up the next morning and you feel even closer to them.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Look, Hope kept changing her mind about you. But I haven't. I know what I want, and I don't... I don't doubt us, and I definitely don't doubt you, because, you know, deep down in my heart, I know you are the only man for me. You are. Mm. Okay

Liam: (Mouthing words)

Steffy: Eh, go on. Get outta here.

Liam: (Chuckles) Thank you.

Steffy: Okay. Do what you have to do. (Sighs)

Hope: I don't think I was sending mixed signals. I-I don't think I was sending any signal.

Brooke: Thomas obviously thought it would be all right to kiss you.

Hope: I don't know what he was thinking, Mom.

Brooke: You didn't talk about t?

Hope: No, not yet.

Brooke: You should.

Hope: (Sighs)

Brooke: Honey, if what Thomas did made you feel uncomfortable--

Hope: You know, it-- it didn't.

Brooke: How did it make you feel?

Hope: (Sighs) I love Liam, you know? A-and I always will, but he's married now, and he's moved on.

Brooke: And eventually, you will, too.

Hope: Yeah. Clearly, Thomas wants to help me do that.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Hope: But, you know, it's nice that he understands me. And he appreciates what I'm trying to do with my collection, and--and how I live my life.

Brooke: Uh, yes, but, Honey, if your heart is still with Liam...

Hope: Well, maybe it shouldn't be.

Thomas: You don't have to worry. I'm not rushing into anything, and I don't expect things to change overnight. I know it's gonna take some time. Take it slow.

Ridge: Are we talking about work or Hope?

Thomas: We're talking about me and my attitude. I've been making myself miserable lately-- walking around, complaining about being in the basement, and how nobody appreciates me, life is so unfair. Yeah, I know. Real mature. You don't hear Hope talking like that, do you? And her whole life came off the rails. Her engagement, her line, the big wedding tie-in. Fate smashed it to pieces, and how did she respond? At first, she tried to fix it, but when that didn't work, she moved on.

Ridge: I don't think she's exactly put everything behind her.

Thomas: Not yet, but she is trying, and she is determined to make the best of things. And she has inspired me to do the same. I don't see why we can't do that together.

Brooke: Oh, there you are, Thomas. (Sighs) I just came from seeing Hope.

Ridge: She told you?

Brooke: They kissed.

Thomas: (Sighs) What did Hope say about it?

Brooke: Well, she didn't really know what to say, and frankly, neither do I.

Ridge: Well, I can totally see why you'd be concerned.

Brooke: (Sighs) Thank you.

Thomas: You're worried about Hope. I get it. I know. It's--it's unexpected, kind of like winning the lottery. But that is exactly the way I feel. And promise, I'm gonna make Hope feel that way, too

Brooke: (Sighs)

Hope: Liam.

Liam: You got a minute? I mean, we...

Hope: Yeah, okay.

Liam: Can we talk? I don't even really know how to get into this, um, or if I should.

Hope: Uh, no.

Liam: Uh...

Hope: Say it. What's up?

Liam: What's going on with you and Thomas?

Hope: (Sighs) Thomas?

Liam: Yeah, I saw you kissing.

Hope: (Sighs) What, were you spying on me?

Liam: No, no, I was just-- I was in the building.

Hope: Why?

Liam: Hope, my wife works here.

Hope: Right.

Liam: So... um, can we talk? (Chuckles)

Hope: About Thomas? Great.

Liam: Well, I'm just-- it doesn't seem right, you know? For--for one, he's Ridge's son. That's--

Hope: Look, Liam, we're not related. And what doesn't seem right? Me kissing Thomas, or me kissing anyone?

Liam: Well, for one thing, jumping into a relationship on the rebound is never typically a good idea, but I--

Hope: Oh, you did not just say that to me.

Liam: (Chuckles) Yeah, okay. Yeah, no, you're right. I have no right.

Hope: (Scoffs)

Liam: But--but--

Hope: (Stammers) No, Liam, you don't.

Brooke: Ridge, you can't be okay with this.

Ridge: No, I'm not. Look, this is-- it's not gonna go anywhere.

Brooke: It's already gone further than I think it should.

Thomas: A little late, aren't we?

Steffy: Oh, I'm sorry. I spent the morning with my husband.

Thomas: Really? Did he tell you about last night?

Steffy: Uh, he was with me.

Thomas: Not all of it. He was actually here.

Steffy: Yeah, seeing Hope.

Thomas: He didn't actually see Hope. (Sighs)

Steffy: He didn't?

Thomas: No. He saw Hope and me kissing.

Steffy: What?

Thomas: Yeah.

Steffy: Oh, my -- you and Hope kissing?

Thomas: She's amazing. I know the two of you don't get along, but I just-- I think she is just--

Steffy: This is perfect. No, perfect. Oh, my God, look. I-I am not a fool. I know Liam still has feelings for Hope. But I-if he saw the way she was moping in the hallways like this, I--oh, my God.

Thomas: Yeah, he wasn't too thrilled about seeing her happy either.

Steffy: Oh, no, this-- we're gonna make this happen.

Thomas: No, Steffy.

Steffy: No, Hope--

Thomas: I did not tell you this so you could use it.

Steffy: Thomas, Hope needs to move on. This is great.

Thomas: So does Liam.

Steffy: Okay, so we'll sweep them off their feet.

Thomas: Wait, hold on.

Steffy: No, no, no. You--you don't get over somebody by talking about your feelings. You get over it by feeling something else.

Thomas: You want me to go for it.

Steffy: Oh, yeah. Go big. Pull out all the stops. That's what I'm gonna do.

Thomas: What, are you and Liam having problems?

Steffy: No, but it's not like we're having the time of our lives either. And you know what? We just got married, you know? We're young. We're in love. We should be doing all the romantic things...

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Everything that we dreamed of.

Thomas: Yeah, pure romance.

Steffy: Yeah, fireworks. And that is how you're gonna get Hope out of that funk. Hey, if anyone can do it, it's you. She's a Logan. You're a Forrester. Thomas, just turn on the charm and make her forget about Liam Spencer. Oh, my God.

Hope: Liam, you can't tell me who to date.

Liam: Oh, whoa. You're dating Thomas? Holy--

Hope: You know, that's really none of your business.

Liam: Oh, okay, all right. Okay, you're a little vulnerable.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: Got that. I'm just saying--

Hope: Oh, my God, Liam, stop! Stop it! Stop...

Liam: What?

Hope: Talking to me like we are friends.

Liam: We're friends. We're friends.

Hope: No, no, Liam. We're not. You are Steffy's husband.

Liam: Oh, so I-I can't be concerned about you at all?

Hope: No, you can't. What we were to each other, that relationship that we had doesn't exist anymore, okay? A-and there's no coming back from this. There's no working it out. There's--there's no getting used to it, Liam not for me, all right? All we can do now is accept that this is the way it is and--and move on

Liam: Ahh. Is that-- is that what you're doing? Moving on with Thomas? 'Cause I gotta tell you, that's weird. (Stammers) I don't know. I don't think--

Hope: Oh, Liam, I want to feel normal again! I want to smile and laugh and not feel like my entire life is a disaster.

Liam: It's not a disaster!

Hope: Yes, it is! Look at us, Liam. Look at me and you and... your marriage. It's a mess. And it wasn't supposed to be this way.

Liam: You're right. It--you're right. It shouldn't have happened.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: (Sighs) Is that what you believe? That your wedding shouldn't have happened?
