Steffy: On top of this mountain-- what better place? Liam today, right now ... marry me.
Liam: (Chuckles) You're crazy.
Steffy: No. Waiting--that would be crazy.
Steffy: I can't think of a more beautiful place to have our wedding.
Brooke: (Sighs) Why don't we hear something?
Brooke: What's going on in Aspen?
Taylor: I'm sure we will. So what makes you think it's gonna be Steffy?
Taylor: Who's disappointed. You know, she and Liam went off to--to have a romantic trip to celebrate their engagement.
Brooke: (Scoffs) Thanks to Bill and the Spencer jet. But Liam and Hope have been engaged for months before that night.
Taylor: During most of which he was progressively miserable.
Brooke: That's you daughter's version.
Taylor: No. I-I mean, otherwise, would he have turned to Steffy so quickly right after he was set free?
Brooke: Uh, it's called rebound.
Taylor: No, it's because Steffy and Liam have a very strong bond, but they also share's a very strong chemistry.
Brooke: (Sighs) I think Hope and Liam do, too.
Taylor: Hope is repressed okay? And I'm sure Liam could feel that with the whole Hope for the Future message.
Brooke: It's a message about restraint and self-respect.
Taylor: Look, I don't have a problem with a message about abstinence, but I really believe that Hope is trying to send a message to Liam that she isn't really ready to be married. That's what that was really about. And then Liam realized that he had a real relationship with Steffy, a real bond -- it's an adult relationship.
Taylor: They love each other, Brooke, and you need to accept that.
(Cell phone rings)
Othello: So what's up? Did your sister hook up with that Liam Spencer dude or what?
Rick: I don't know. I called her on the gondola. She was halfway up the mountain.
Othello: Well, you know what that means? It worked. That means Liam got the message. It worked, bro.
Justin: Dollar Bill, you did it-- brought Ajax Mountain to a standstill.
Bill: I did have a little help.
Bill: Now let's hope that Oliver can keep that gondola shut down for a while.
Justin: How much time does Steffy need?
Bill: Just enough to get Liam out of there.
Mike: How come nobody has told me about this?
Oliver: I don't know, man. Oh, don't worry, Mike. I got it.
Mike: (Groans) Man. You know, you TV people. Where's your crew?
Oliver: They should be here any minute.
Mike: This is not all gonna fit on one car.
Oliver: I guess I'll have to use two.
Katie: Oh. Hello, boys.
Katie: The good whiskey. What are we celebrating?
Bill: Justin and are throwing a couple back in honor of my son's engagement.
Katie: Hmm. Then you haven't heard. Hope's on her way to Aspen.
Bill: I've heard.
Liam: Steffy, we can't just get married.
Steffy: Sure we can. Liam, what is marriage, anyway?
Steffy: A commitment between two people who love each other, who share a vision for the future, who believe in each other. Isn't that the kind of marriage you want? I know I do. So let's be spontaneous. Liam, let's do it.
Bill: Have you heard from Brooke yet?
Katie: Not yet.
Bill: Katie, I know how you feel about your niece and how much you care for her. But I'm telling you that you and Brooke are selling your niece a pipe dream.
Katie: If we thought it was a pipe dream, we wouldn't be encouraging it.
Bill: He's already engaged to somebody else.
Katie: Oh, please. This engagement is absurd. It's Steffy.
Bill: Careful. She's going to be your daughter in-law.
Katie: You--you--you think this is funny, that now is the time to make jokes?
Bill: Well, laugh and the world laughs with you, cry --et cetera, et cetera. Is that what this is really about? It's not about your niece at all.
Katie: Oh, it's about Hope, but yes, Steffy is definitely a factor.
Bill: Liam is engaged to Steffy. He's made his choice.
Katie: Out of the blue!
Bill: So was Hope breaking up with Liam. But unlike her, he's not gonna change his mind.
Katie: Not if you can help it, huh?
Bill: You think I'm taking Steffy's side.
Katie: (Laughs sarcastically)
Bill: I'm not.
Katie: Oh, yes, you are. I don't know how you can say that.
Bill: No, I am in support of Liam and Steffy's engagement because I'm in support of my son.
Brooke: Doesn't disturb you at all how quickly Liam and Steffy got engaged?
Taylor: No. I told you that they had a bond, and I think it's because he saved her life.
Brooke: Mm-hmm. And she's been making the moves on him ever since that night.
Taylor: Oh, stop it. Steffy was concerned about him because Hope doesn't understand him, and she obviously doesn't appreciate him very much either.
Brooke: She's dealing with that.
Taylor: Too late, evidentially.
Brook I'm sure when she gets to him and she explains what happened, it will all be so clear to him, and he'll realize why she overreacted.
Taylor: (Laughs) To what?
Brooke: Disappointment-- something we all have to learn how to live with.
Mike: Listen, we can't keep this thing shut down. We gotta move.
Liam: Uh, who’s that?
Steffy: Well, we need a minister to marry us.
Liam: She's a minister?
Steffy: Well, no, but it looks like she found a minister. Hi.
Ramona: Are we on time?
Steffy: Not a minute to spare.
Ramona: Excellent. Well, I told the reverend what you had in mind.
Steffy: Oh, good.
Man: Glad to be of service. And it's nice to meet you.
Steffy: Oh, you, too. Thank you. Oh, um, Liam, this is Ramona Bruland. She's the TV host for "Keeping up with Ramona."
Ramona: And I am the fairy godmother. Nice to meet you.
Liam: Nice to meet you, too. Reverend. (Sighs) You're really serious, aren't you?
Steffy: I am.
Liam: Sorry. I-I-I'm--I wasn't expecting this. I'm--I'm surprised. I mean, I came up here to-- to, uh, I-I...
Liam: So we can really do this? I mean, we can--we can get--
Man: All you have to do is sign the documents at the courthouse.
Ramona: And I'm the witness. I have two souvenir rings from the gift shop.
Steffy: Liam, I-I meant what I said. I want to marry you, Liam. You can't keep hoping for something that's never going to happen, believing promises made but are broken again and again. When you proposed to me, you proposed to a woman who would do absolutely anything for you. Sometimes you have to go to extremes to get what you want in life. And that's what I'm doing. I am doing this for you, because I love you, and I want what's best for you. You asked me to be your wife. (Chuckles) And I said yes. So be my husband. Marry me.
Hope: Liam! Liam, I'm over here.
Liam: Let's do it.
Steffy: (Sighs) (laughs) Okay.
Man: Let's take our places.
Hope: No! You can't do this! I can't...
Rick: We're probably gonna have another passenger on the way home. Can you add Liam Spencer to the manifest?
Man: Yes, sir, absolutely.
Rick: As soon as I hear from my sister, you can file that flight plan.
Man: Straight back to L.A.
Rick: As fast as you can. We'll probably have a very upset woman on our tail.
Katie: If you were so certain that Liam had made up his mind, you wouldn't have sent him away.
Bill: Uh, I sent Liam and Steffy to Aspen so they could have some time alone together.
Katie: Away from Hope.
Bill: Away from Hope, away from the press, away from anybody else who has an opinion about what my son should do with his life.
Katie: You didn't tell Hope where they were, because you didn't want her tracking them down.
Bill: No, I didn't, and I still don't.
Bill: Because they're away celebrating their engagement. They should have some time alone together.
Katie: And if Hope suddenly shows up, that's gonna change things, right?
Bill: Not in the way that you think. Liam is not a vengeful person. He gets that from his mother.
Bill: Look, if Hope found Liam, he would be forced to hurt her. He wouldn't want to, but that's what would happen. Now I tried to explain this to Hope, but she wouldn't hear anything I had to say.
Katie: Of course not. If what you say is true, and I don't think it is, she wants to hear it from Liam, not you.
Bill: No, that's not what she wants to hear, and Brooke has convinced her that's not even a possibility.
Katie: Bill, this is me you're talking to, okay? I know you. You did not arrange this little impromptu vacation to spare Hope's feelings.
Bill: Let me tell you something. Liam has been in the spotlight for months, and it wasn't of his choosing, yet he's been smack-dab in the middle of Hope's abstinence campaign. When it gets out that he is engaged to Steffy, that spotlight is going to turn into a supernova.
Bill: Hope is America's sweetheart. The press is going to vilify Liam and Steffy.
Bill: So yeah, I sent them away for a while before they're gonna have to deal with that.
Katie: I don't like this. I loathe Steffy.
Katie: She lies. She's manipulative. And she's the most selfish human being I've ever come in contact with.
Bill: You're gonna have to learn to accept this, Katie.
Katie: Oh, no, I'm not gonna do that.
Bill: Well, it'll become a problem in our marriage.
Katie: It is a problem in our marriage. Just weeks ago, she was after you. Then she goes after your son. She comes between my niece and her fiancé. She's with Liam now, and you think it's just great.
Bill: Because she's better suited to Liam.
Katie: No. You're gonna tell me the truth. If you can't have Steffy, then you want your son to have her, is that it? You're gonna keep her close and keep her in the family-- is that what this is really all about? Because if it is, then--
Bill: You gave me an ultimatum. And it made me realize exactly how much I love you and exactly how much our marriage means to me. I ended it with Steffy. She is good for my son, not for me.
Katie: (Sighs) I'm sorry, Bill. But I will never accept that woman in our family. Never.
Man: So Ramona didn't really tell me what sort of ceremony that you want.
Steffy: Oh, a quick one.
Steffy: You can forget the whole "dearly beloveds" and the "forever hold your peace."
Man: Yeah, well, that may be the way that people get married in Hollywood.
Ramona: Yeah, we're way more laid-back here in Aspen.
Steffy: Well, then laid-back is perfect for me.
Man: Well, then, Liam, Steffy, you picked the right place to get married. People come to the top of this mountain to look down on God's creation in awe and to be filled with a sense of connection and peace... the same peace and connection that you have found with each other. Now not that long ago, Ute Indians stood on this very spot and offered up blessings for health and happiness. I now offer my blessing. I wish you both a lifetime of well-being and contentment. May your love be as strong as this mountain, but like the mountain, you may experience serenity and coolness other times, fierce winds and--and thundering storms. But like the mountain, may your marriage endure.
Hope: Liam! Liam, Liam, just look over here.
Man: Let the beauty around you inspire you. State your intentions to each other. Do you, Liam Spencer, vow to honor, love, and cherish this woman, forsaking all others...
Hope: Don't do this. Don't--please, baby, don't do this.
Man: As long as you both live?
Taylor: Well, I haven't gotten a call. It's been a while.
Brooke: She was on her way up the mountain. We'll hear.
Taylor: I know you're confident that this is gonna work out for Hope.
Brooke: I have faith in Hope and Liam and what they share.
Taylor: But what you don't comprehend is that Hope and Liam are not even on the same page. Look, I really respect the fact that Hope wants to be conservative. I think that's great. But for a couple to be abstinent, that has to be something they agree on. It can't be imposed on a young man indefinitely, especially when you have an engagement that's here today, gone tomorrow.
Brooke: Hope knows that she made a mistake breaking off the engagement. That is why she's going to Aspen to find him, to explain how she was feeling. And once she does, I think he'll understand. They love each other. And Hope is a wonderful young woman with lots of values and morals and ethics, and she's a great role model to all the young women around the world. So don't tell me she can't have that and can't have Liam, because I won't believe it. Liam is also a fine young man, and he respects her, and he respects her message that she is trying to put out there. He made a commitment to her, Taylor. He's not going to turn his back.
Taylor: But you're forgetting one thing, Brooke-- Hope broke the engagement. She ended the commitment, and now he's committed to Steffy. And that is the commitment that Liam is going to honor.
(Bianca Moon singing "Make You Feel My Love")
When the rain is blowing in your face and the whole world is on your case I could offer you a warm embrace to make you feel my love when the evening shatters and the stars appear and there's no one there to dry your tears I'm gonna hold you for a million years to make you feel my love those storms are raging on the rolling sea and on the highway of regret the winds of change are blowing wild and free you ain't seen nothing like me yet I could make you happy make your dreams come true there's nothing that I wouldn't do go to the ends of the earth for you to make you feel my love to make you feel my love
