Katie: I'm in here.
Bill: Oh, now that's what I like to see. Waitin' in bed for me, huh?
Katie: Oh, I'm just reading, enjoying a little quiet time.
Bill: Quiet time? I don't want to disturb you. There's a game on.
Katie: Get in here, Spencer. (Giggles)
Katie: (Giggles) Are you hungry? There's some bad Chinese food in the fridge.
Bill: I had something to eat with Justin. What's that?
Katie: It's a book.
Bill: I can see it's a book. What kind of book?
Katie: Oh, it's just a trashy novel I'm reading for pleasure.
Bill: Mm. Mm, I-I could never do that...
Bill: Unless I'm reading about my homeys-- Gates, Buffett.
Katie: Oh, right, or how to take over the free world?
Bill: Exactly. Otherwise, what's the point?
Katie: (Chuckles) So I guess I should cross that book of poetry off your Christmas list.
Bill: Why would I want to look at a book when I can look at you?
Katie: Oh, that's smooth. That's pretty smooth.
Bill: Well, I am pretty smooth.
Brooke: (Sighs) (Giggles) Well, hello to you, too.
Ridge: You waited up for me.
Brooke: (Sighs) I was working on Hope's wedding plans.
Ridge: You should be glad you left the office when you did.
Brooke: Why? What happened?
Ridge: My little brother is stirring up trouble. How much more family drama can one man take?
Brooke: I'm sure you can handle it. (Sighs) I have faith in you. The question is, can you handle me?
Thomas: Hey. There you are.
Thomas: Where'd you run off to?
Steffy: I was just, um, lookin' for Liam.
Thomas: Did you find him?
Steffy: Not yet. But I will.
Brooke: Okay. (Sighs) You're not going to be able to relax and enjoy me until you get whatever it is off your chest.
Ridge: Thorne's telling Taylor not to give me the voting rights on Thomas' stock. Suddenly, he's becoming the protector of my ex-wife and my children. I think we might have a mutiny on our hands.
Brooke: Don't be such a worrywart.
Ridge: It got pretty heated after you left.
Brooke: You and Thorne argued?
Ridge: It also got kinda... physical.
Ridge: Thorne and Taylor kissed.
Brooke: (Scoffs) A kiss kiss?
Ridge: A kiss. Yeah, yeah, it looked like that. Awkward.
Brooke: Well, it's kind of cute.
Ridge: No. No.
Brooke: (Sighs) Come on. Thorne and Taylor might be good together.
Katie: This is nice. All is right with our world.
Bill: Yeah. (Sighs) I hope my son can have this someday.
Katie: Mm, he will. He's marrying the girl of his dreams, just like you did. (Giggles)
Bill: He's been havin' a rough time lately.
Katie: He does seem a little distracted.
Bill: You have your niece to thank for that.
Katie: Well, he did a good job with the letter from the editor.
Bill: Well, he had a little help.
Katie: Oh, from you?
Bill: No, not me.
Katie: Then who?
Thomas: You're playing with fire, Steffy.
Steffy: You know what? If I thought Hope was the right girl for Liam, then I'd back away.
Thomas: Are you sure this isn't about Hope? About winning? Getting back at her by taking her guy?
Steffy: No, not at all. Look, I care about Liam, and I think I'm falling in love with him.
Liam: I still can't believe you did all this. (Chuckles)
Hope: Well, we've been talking about having a night like this for weeks.
Liam: I know. I needed it.
Hope: Mm, yeah, I know. Me, too. And you can say it.
Liam: Say what?
Hope: I know I've been neglecting you lately. (Sighs)
Liam: I would never say that. Maybe a little.
Hope: Yeah. (Groans)
Hope: I'm sorry.
Liam: No, don't. You know what? Hope, don't be. It's really hard to find time for each other when we're both so busy.
Hope: Well, we are just going to have to make time, Liam.
Liam: I don't like how I am when you're not around. It's like I'm a different person, you know?
Hope: Well, in a few months, we'll be together forever.
Liam: It can't come soon enough.
Liam: No, seriously. It can't come soon enough. (Chuckles)
Hope: I know.
Thomas: Do I need to remind you that Liam is marrying Hope in a few months?
Steffy: Uh, no. How could I forget? There's posters everywhere advertising the happy nuptials.
Steffy: But you know what? I-I feel bad for Liam. He's being shoved in the middle of an ad campaign.
Thomas: (Sighs) Look, I don't want to sound like Mom, but don't you think it's a little strange that you were in love with his dad, and now you've fallen for Liam?
Steffy: Okay, you know what? It's over. I have no feelings for him. I mean, I-I-I like him. I respect him. But that's as far as it goes.
Thomas: Okay, so where did this pull to Liam come from? I know he saved you from drowning, and you're bound to be connected to him, but--
Steffy: Okay, yeah. It--it affected me. You know, when he saved my life, I-I-- I saw him in a new light. Before then, I-I really just... I thought he was like a boy. And I thought men had to be, I don't know, powerful and sometimes maybe a little mean.
Thomas: Like Bill?
Steffy: Look, Liam made me realize that not all men are like that. No, Liam--he's real. He has integrity. He's kind. He's caring. He's loving. He's everything I want. He's everything I need.
Thomas: And he is engaged to Hope.
Steffy: But that wedding is months away, so a lot can happen between now and then.
Katie: What was Steffy doing helping Liam?
Bill: (Laughing) Ow, ow, ow. That's--that's--that's attached, you know?
Bill: She was at his place when he was working on it.
Katie: Well, why is he hanging out with her in the first place? I mean, he's engaged.
Bill: They're friends.
Katie: Oh, please. (Scoffs)
Bill: They're friends. Look, Liam--Liam was stressed. He was struggling with the letter. He fell asleep, and she was kind enough to finish it for him.
Katie: How sweet.
Bill: She was just bein' helpful.
Katie: (Scoffs) Yeah, right. Brooke told Donna and me that since you shot her down, she's been circling Liam, and I guess her instincts are right on. We should keep an eye on her hopefully, Liam is smart enough not to fall for any of her games.
Liam: I don't want you to feel guilty about being so busy.
Hope: I do, though.
Liam: Well, don't. I mean, I... (Sighs) Don't. I-I-I know how much your work means to you.
Hope: Not as much as you do.
Liam: Yeah, it's been rough, you know, not seeing you and not being together, but, um, I'm so proud of you. And--and I want to see you succeed, and I like seeing you happy.
Hope: You make me happy.
Liam: I also like seeing this ring on your finger...
Liam: And knowing we're gonna spend the rest of our lives together. I... (Sighs) Can't wait to be your husband, Hope.
Hope: (Sighs) Liam... we are gonna have such an incredible marriage. I can't wait to be "Mrs. William Spencer III."
Hope: Got a nice ring to it, huh?
Ridge: (Sighs) At least one of our kids is happy.
Brooke: Steffy will find a man.
Ridge: She and Thomas are frustrated with me right now. They feel pushed aside, like I'm giving all of my attention to Hope.
Brooke: That can't be an easy position for you. But Steffy and Thomas are adults. They shouldn't feel like they have to compete against Hope. You have enough love to go around.
Ridge: (Sighs) It's really tough being a parent.
Brooke: Yeah. And Steffy just makes it harder on herself.
Ridge: Yeah. Sometimes she does.
Brooke: Steffy's been very vocal about the way she feels about Liam. She doesn't care if Hope is engaged to him. You know, if she respected Hope and the family, she would just back off. But I don't think she's going to.
Thomas: You really think Liam is going to change is mind about Hope?
Steffy: For his sake, it'd be the best thing.
Thomas: And for yours?
Steffy: What she's doing to him is wrong-- broadcasting it throughout the entire world?
Thomas: Yeah, I know. It's very personal.
Steffy: Well, nobody wants their private life dragged into public. I mean, it's--it's not fair. But that relationship is built on Hope-- Hope's conditions, Hope's rules. It's like he constantly has to prove himself to her.
Thomas: Well, if he wants to marry her, he's just gonna have to wait.
Steffy: Well, Liam's pretty messed up about it. And I'm worried about him, but you know what? Hope is too busy basking in the limelight to notice. No, she's clueless. She has no idea her relationship is in trouble.
Hope: (Gasps) Oh, my God.
Hope: I forgot to put the lasagna in the oven.
Liam: (Laughs) You made dinner?
Hope: Yes. I think. Maybe. I don't know.
Liam: Well, wow. Uh, that was really nice of you. Come on. Let--let me just--
Hope: Thank you.
Liam: Let me go put it in-- ow! Oh!
Hope: Are you okay?
Liam: Yeah, I'm okay. I'm okay. It's nothing. It's been happening a lot lately. (Laughs) I'm just--I'm just a klutz, you know? It's... uh, you know what? You know what? I'm--it's not okay. I'm not--I'm not, uh, I'm not okay.
Hope: Liam, what's wrong?
Liam: I, uh... (Sighs) Do you know I-I-I-- I left my phone in the freezer this morning? I've gotten maybe two hours, maybe, of sleep every night this week. I, uh, the other day, I wore mismatched socks out of the house. I-I started yelling at a guy at a traffic light for blaring his music too loud just because I didn't like the song. I'm messing up at work. I can't focus. I'm not, um... (Sighs) I'm not doing very well.
Hope: What are you saying? What can I do?
Liam: I love you, you know? A-and this--this... waiting is... it's, uh, I-it feels unnatural, all this waiting, and...
Hope: I don't want to wait, either.
Liam: And I know this isn't-- this is not your fault, but I kind of... I'm kind of feeling like a chess pawn in the whole Hope for the Future campaign thing. I mean, it's--it's like it's... (Sighs) Taking over our entire relationship, and--
Hope: Honestly, Liam, I'm feeling the exact same way.
Liam: Why don't we just get married? Can we do that? I mean, why-- why--why--why are we waiting so long? I mean, we love each other. We want to be with each other. I-I can't--I can't-- I can't do this. I can't wait months and months. Can we... would you move up the wedding date for me? Would you do that?
Ridge: Don't worry. (Sighs) Steffy will respect Hope and Liam's relationship.
Brooke: (Scoffs) I certainly hope so. Things are going so great for Hope. She's in love. She's gonna be married to the man that she adores. Her clothing line is a success.
Brooke: I am just so happy for our little girl. I don't want anything to interfere with that.
Katie: I think that you should allow Liam to live the life that he wants to live, not the life you think he should live.
Bill: Mm, well, father knows best.
Katie: (Chuckles) In this instance, I'm not so sure. And-- and just for future reference, this area over here and--and over there--
Bill: That would be called the bedroom.
Katie: Mm-hmm. Yeah. It's a Steffy-free zone-- no talking bout her, no thinking about her, no mentioning her name-- not in the bedroom.
Katie: Deal. (Giggles) Besides, I don't think that we should be talking at all.
Bill: No talking? Really?
Katie: Not really. Unh-unh. Mnh-mnh.
Bill: Well, that does feel pretty good, but you know me--I like to talk, and once I start talking, I--
Katie: Mm, shut up. (Chuckles)
Steffy: Look, Liam has been so frustrated, he can't even function. I mean, he was supposed to write a letter from the editor, and he couldn't do that, because he couldn't concentrate, so I helped him.
Thomas: That was the favor he thanked you for?
Steffy: Okay, um, the kiss was my idea.
Thomas: He could have said no.
Steffy: Well, you know what? I think he needed a kiss, and I think he needs a lot more than what he's getting from Hope.
Thomas: And you want to give it to him?
Steffy: You know what? I-I just want to give him my love, my attention, my devotion. He deserves so much, and I know-- I know I can make him so much happier than Hope. And I'll have the chance. Since Hope is waiting for marriage, I got all the time to work on Liam.
Hope: You want me to move up the day of the wedding?
Liam: I-I know it's asking a lot, and your mom is--is doing all these--these--these plans, and it's supposed to be, like, the wedding of the century, uh, and I real--I do. I really want it to be, like, a special, special day for you, but I... (Laughs) I just-- I want to get married, Hope. I really--I don't care what kind of flowers we're using, or who's on the guest list. I just--I-I-I need to be, like, your husband, like, stat.
Liam: I--and I'm-- it's not necessarily fair for me to ask this of you, but I'm kind-- I'm kind of at the end of my rope here. I mean, I really am. I don't know. I'm--
Hope: I'll do it.
Hope: I'll do it. I'll move--I'll move up the date of the wedding.
Liam: You--you will?
Hope: Yes. I don't want to wait to get married, either.
Liam: Oh, my God! Oh, my God!
Hope: (Laughs) Oh, my God. Oh, this waiting has been too hard on both of us.
Liam: Can I tell you something?
Liam: I thought I was the only one. I really did.
Liam: So, uh, we're getting it--so tomorrow maybe? Or like next week, or--
Hope: Well, no, okay, not quite that soon, but soon. Soon. But, I mean, I have to tell my parents and everyone at Forrester.
Hope: I mean, there's no way around that. I have to.
Liam: Sure. Yeah.
Hope: But given the circumstances and everything that I'm asking of you, I want to get married just as badly as you do.
Liam: (Sighs) So weeks instead of months.
Hope: Yes. Yes. I mean--I mean, there might be some resistance, but, I mean, it's--it's my line.
Liam: Right. Yeah.
Hope: You know? A-and so yes. Yes, you have my word. Yes, it'll happen.
Liam: (Sighs) We're getting married.
Hope: (Gasps) (Squeals) We are! We're getting married!
Steffy: No. No, I can't let this happen.
