Ridge: Thorne, this doesn't concern you.
Thorne: Don't do it, Taylor. Don't you give your voting rights away to him.
Hope: You know, Steffy, I understand why you would be jealous of me. I mean, my line is on fire. Dad totally supports it. I'm engaged.
Steffy: Well, it's hard not to feel envious of someone who's so confident and in control.
Hope: And now you're mocking me.
Hope: Look, I-I get that you think my values are absurd.
Steffy: Well, some would say archaic.
Hope: I am just trying to be a positive role model.
Steffy: Yeah, so you've told... the world. But have you asked Liam how he feels? I mean, look at it from his perspective. You're engaged, but yet, you want to wait until the honeymoon. I mean, I think it's kind of wacked.
Hope: That's what this is about for you. That's what this is. You have been trying to steal Liam away from me, and it makes you a little crazy that everything you're doing isn't getting through to him.
Steffy: Okay, you--you know, what drives me crazy is that you refuse to see what this is doing to Liam. You call it an engagement. Well, I call it torture.
Liam: Yeah, I'm proud how it turned out. Thank you, Hillary.
Bill: There's my boy. Get in here. William Spencer III!
Bill: How's it feel having your first edition under your belt?
Liam: It feels good. It feels good. Actually, it's- it's a big relief.
Bill: Well, it must feel really good getting some relief somewhere since you're not getting any at home.
Liam: Really, Dad?
Bill: To successfully publishing your first edition of "Eye on Fashion" and to a letter from the editor that was well worth the wait.
Liam: You know, if it weren't for Steffy, I'd probably still be working on that letter.
Bill: She's pretty amazing. You two seem to make quite a team. Look what she did for you in one night. Imagine what she could do in a lifetime.
Hope: Steffy, do all three of us a favor and stay out of my relationship with Liam. It is demeaning to go after men who don't want you.
Steffy: Oh, get off your soapbox. There aren't any microphones around here.
Hope: Steffy, just have some pride and move on.
Liam: Look, I'm not gonna deny what Steffy means to me. She's been a great friend. But I'm happily engaged to Hope, and that's not changing.
Bill: You and I have different definitions of the word "Happy." Let me pull something up here. All right, this "Spring fashion first look."
Bill: You narrowed it down to a couple of options. Then you presented it to me.
Bill: Come here. Why'd you pick this one?
Liam: Well, this one's more fluid and balanced. I mean, if you look, the width of the alleys complements the sidebars. It--it creates less bleed.
Bill: And the other?
Liam: There's--it was-- it was too much going on. I mean, the color scheme, the--the drop shadows, multiple fonts-- It's a jumbled mess. It doesn't wor--okay, you're comparing it to Hope. Got it.
Bill: I'm just trying to make a point, that's all. Hope has some issues.
Liam: Dad... (Sighs)
Bill: Her desires, her priorities-- they are paramount. Yours seem to be insignificant to her. Steffy, on the other and--
Liam: Dad. Dad--
Bill: Huh? She's got herself together. She is beautiful. She is intelligent. She is challenging. She's exceptional, and seems to be in love with you.
Liam: The way that you're talking about her right now, do you really want Steffy and me together, or do you just want her around because you're still in love with her?
Ridge: Thorne, why don't you go see if those shipments cleared customs at long beach?
Thorne: Oh, I don't think so. You know, you should have been in that meeting, Taylor. Did Ridge tell you that he allocated the entire advertising budget to Hope for the Future until her wedding?
Taylor: He did?
Ridge: Well, you may not agree with my strategy, but you will see it's best for Forrester.
Thorne: Well, while you're looking out for the company, I'm looking out for your children, since clearly you are not.
Ridge: I appreciate that, Thorne, but I really don't need your help. Whether you understand it or not, that's why I'm having Taylor sign over her voting privileges, so I can determine what's best for my kids and my company.
Thorne: Your company?
Ridge: That's right, little brother. As long as I'm C.E.O., it's my company.
Bill: It's over between Steffy and me because I ended it. I'm in love with Katie. I'm committed to my marriage, so relax. Just be glad that Steffy's available to you.
Liam: I-I'm glad that you and Katie are still happily married. I'm grateful to Steffy for being able to tie all my thoughts together for the letter.
Bill: Yeah, you know, speaking of that, um, what did Steffy want in return for her "Editorial services"? Come on, now it's been my life experience that very rarely does someone do a favor without expecting something in return.
Bill: Unless she's already gotten it. When I came to the cliff house this morning, you two had just returned from a little "Stroll" on the beach. Did something happen?
Liam: She wanted a kiss.
Bill: A kiss?
Liam: A friendly one.
Bill: A friendly one?
Liam: This is serious, okay? I... what was I thinking? I mean, I-I'm-- I'm--I shouldn't have done this. I-I'm engaged to Hope Logan, literally the spokesperson for abstinence. I mean, yeah, the kiss was friendly and all, but I--
Bill: All right, listen, it was just a kiss, right? Don't beat yourself up over it.
Liam: Look, Hope is my fiancée, right? Nobody's more caring. Nobody's more loving. That kiss with Steffy, friendly or not, that was a mistake, one that I cannot repeat.
Hope: Steffy, it'd be really nice if we could work together and not be at each other's throats all the time.
Steffy: Well, we tried that, but it didn't work, remember?
Hope: Okay, okay, well friendship is out of the question, then could I maybe get some acceptance? Some common courtesy?
Steffy: Hope, come on. You are the face of Forrester. You shouldn't be wasting time thinking about us. I mean, live it up. 'Cause who knows? Someday, it might be my turn.
Hope: I don't want to be enemies, Steffy. So can you just do one thing for me? Can you please be the Steffy who, not too long ago, told me that she accepted my relationship with Liam? It is going to be a good marriage, Steffy.
Steffy: Like it or not, your fiancé and I, we're close friends. So... how about this? I want what's best for Liam.
Hope: Okay. Well, what's best for Liam is me, not you. I'll see you later.
Thorne: That's how you've always seen things around here, huh? Your company?
Ridge: Well, you saw my name on the door when you barged in, didn't you, Thorne?
Thorne: Yeah. Fortunately, I got here in time. I think this company needs new direction.
Ridge: Yeah, you voiced your opinion at the meeting.
Thorne: Yeah. Well, I get Hope's line is doing well, but it's one of many successful campaigns, Ridge.
Taylor: I just can't believe that you would put Steffy's Intimates line in-- on the back burner. Why would you do that? Your relationship is already strained enough with her.
Ridge: Because I had no choice.
Ridge: We're getting rumblings that this line is too provocative for a lot of our clientele.
Ridge: Steffy's just gonna have to retool it. Look, I don't know why I'm having to explain this to you guys.
Thorne: You see, this is why I had to tell you and your kids about your voting privileges.
Thorne: And if they were here, they would agree with me not to sign these shares over to him, Taylor.
Ridge: Wait. You knew about this?
Taylor: Well, Thorne thought I should know what all my rights are as Thomas' trustee. At least he has my children's best interests at heart, unlike their father.
Ridge: And Steffy and Thomas?
Ridge: Thorne, this involves my family. This is none of your business.
Thorne: Somebody's gotta look out for them.
Ridge: Well, this sounds more like a mutiny to me. Bring it on.
Liam: (Sighs) Okay. Wait. Oh. Okay. (Sighs)
Hope: There's my fiancé.
Hope: What, were you expecting somebody else?
Liam: Oh. Well, I did change my cleaning lady's tire this morning, so I thought maybe, you know--
Hope: Oh, really?
Liam: So is this something I should-- I should come to expect? My beautiful bride-to-be slaving away in the kitchen and coming to greet me? By the way... (As Henry Higgins) Where are my slippers?
Hope: (Laughs) Yeah, keep dreaming. I don't think so. (Laughs)
Hope: (Sighs) Sit.
Liam: (Normal voice) Okay.
Hope: Oh, I just, um, I want to apologize for being so busy lately.
Hope: I mean, I-I was in Paris, and then I had the press conference, and then I-I've been planning the wedding. I-I'm sorry.
Liam: Don't be. This is--this is perfect. I'm--I'm really glad you could find some time so we can be alone.
Hope: And to celebrate.
Hope: (Giggles) Uh, what I mean-- what I mean...
Liam: (Laughs) Whoa.
Hope: It's amazing.
Hope: It's amazing, Liam! I am so proud of you!
Liam: Oh, Hope, you-- you shouldn't have done this. This is--
Hope: What? No, this is what tonight is all about. We have so much to celebrate-- you know, my line, your magazine, us. How did we get so lucky?
Hope: This is good. There's nothing I want more than to be right here. I love you.
Bill: Sí... (Speaking Spanish) No, no. Bien, bien. Vamos a hablar mañana. Okay. Gracias. Adios.
Steffy: Hey, Hillary wasn't there--
Bill: Vanessa, did you get all that? Yeah, you bet we are. So tell Justin to arriba muy early. Okay, thanks. Sorry about that. Not as easy moving cell towers as it used to be. He's not here. Well, you don't drop by to see me anymore, do you?
Steffy: Y-you know, I-I guess I-I should have called first, but, um, good luck with the towers and everything.
Bill: Yeah, you know, I-I'm sure they'll be expecting a lot more than a "Friendly kiss" if we get those waivers approved.
Steffy: Wait, Liam told you that he kissed me?
Bill: Well, what he said, uh, specifically is that you requested a kiss based on services rendered for your help with the letter from the editor. Thank you again for that, by the way.
Bill: You know, I didn't really think your, uh, first night together would be spent with you typing and him sleeping... alone.
Steffy: Oh, but I told you, I'm not gonna throw myself at him. I'm just much deeper than that, all right?
Bill: I hear you.
Bill: And you've been there for him as a--as a friend and a confidante. Uh, really, what you did with your letter from the editor says it all. You didn't have to ask. You didn't have to beg. You were just there for him, which is more than I can say for that preachy fiancée of his.
Thorne: You're right, Ridge. I am talking about a revolution, for me, Taylor, your kids, and everyone else who has been shoved into the background by you.
Ridge: You sure that's what this is about, Thorne? Or have I underestimated you?
Thorne: I just don't want to see Taylor and your kids get hurt again.
Ridge: Yeah, you keep harping on that. Do you know what I think? You say you don't want Taylor to relinquish her vote so you can help protect my family. The truth is, you're preying on them for your own sick advancement. You think Taylor's your express elevator from the basement to the executive floor.
Thorne: (Chuckles) Only you could be egotistical enough to say something like that.
Ridge: Challenging my power and decisions, that's one thing. But being divisive in my family? I'm not gonna tolerate that, Thorne. You can't possibly believe my kids would listen to you and turn their back on their own father. I'm the one who keeps this company thriving. Everyone prospers because of my leadership. Don't try this again. You know what? You're really out of line. Why don't you get it?
Thorne: No, I don't-- I'm not getting nothing anymore from you, Ridge.
Ridge: Get off of me!
Taylor: Okay, both--no, both of you stop. Stop it! Both--
Ridge: Get off! Get off of me!
Taylor: Thorne! (Gasps)
Hope: Mm, I'm so glad I'm here. This is what I've missed. (Sighs)
Liam: Yeah, tell me about it.
Hope: It's been too long.
Hope: I want more nights like this, where I can be with you and tell you how much I love you and show you how much I appreciate your patience.
Liam: (Chuckles) Oh, I'd love for you to show me.
Hope: I'm sorry. I've been so busy traveling, and with Hope for the Future...
Liam: Well, doesn't make me love you any less.
Hope: I have been everywhere but right here with you, where is, you know, where I most want to be.
Liam: Well... (Sets glass down) The way I see it, we've got the rest of our lives to make up for it, so why don't we start tonight?
Taylor: Thorne! Thorne! Are you okay? Thorne?
Taylor: Thorne, are you all right?
Thorne: Yeah, no thanks to him.
Ridge: Thorne, look, I-I'm sorry. I-I didn't--
Taylor: We should get you to the hospital.
Thorne: No, I'm fine, really.
Taylor: Are you sure?
Thorne: Mm. Yeah.
Ridge: What is that?
Thorne: (Grunts) (Sighs) (Sighs) (Breathing heavily) You know, Ridge, we spent our whole lives losing out to you... (Sighs) Being told by you and Brooke what to do, taking orders. No more. We've had enough. You've been in charge your-- your whole life. You know, maybe it's time someone else sits behind that desk and calls the shots.
Ridge: Who? You, Thorne? You really think Taylor's going to allow that to happen?
Thorne: (Sighs) You never know, Big Brother. Why don't we put it to vote? Let's go, Taylor.
Ridge: Wow. (Sighs)
Ridge: (Exhales deeply)
