Taylor: Do you really believe it's possible that we can change the future?

Thorne: You have 55% of Forrester Creations in your grasp. The question is, are you willing to use it for a better future for you and your children?

Brooke: Hope I'm not losing my touch.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: Usually one kiss can get your mind off of anything. Maybe it's my new lipstick.

Ridge: Yeah.

Brooke: (Giggles)

Ridge: Maybe it is.

Brooke: Stop feeling so guilty about Thomas.

Ridge: He just really hates it down there in shipping. He wants to get back to designing.

Brooke: You told him no because it was the right thing to do.

Ridge: Am I really messin' up here? Am I doing the wrong thing?

Brooke: No, you're not doing the wrong thing. The fact that Thomas could even ask means he hasn't learned his lesson yet.

Ridge: I just didn't want to let him off the hook that easily.

Brooke: (Sighs) What he and Stephanie did was horrible. He's paying the consequences, as he should.

Ridge: He caused a lot of people a lot of pain, almost destroyed us. And he left his mother very devastated and very much alone.

Thorne: Don't you feel it, Taylor? The possibilities are endless.

Taylor: Yes, yes, yes. I see it.

Thorne: I have never had power, and neither have you, but we do now. And you and I have been taken for granted for years, Taylor, and now your children are being pushed aside. How long can we live like this?

Taylor: I-I want to do what's best for my children, believe me.

Thorne: Well, Forrester Creations is their legacy, just as much as it is mine.

Taylor: You know, Stephanie didn't just take advantage of Thomas' vulnerabilities she--she betrayed him...

Thorne: (Scoffs) Yeah.

Taylor: And she betrayed me. That--that disgusting lie she got him to tell everybody-- it made me look like an idiot up there being left at the altar for the second time by Ridge. But you know, it's-- it's more than that. It's--it's the way that-- that this ultimately hurt my children, the disappointment, and--and just another loss. They just wanted to see their family back together, and I want to do what's best for them. It's just that I want to-- I want to think about this I-I need to think this through carefully. This isn't something that will just be easy for me to do. It's a huge decision. I know that. If I do this, if I make a play for the company, it could have serious ramifications.

Ridge: It's an e-mail from Rick at International.

Brooke: What'd he say?

(Door opens)

Hope: Hey.

Brooke: Oh, hi, Honey.

Hope: Hi.

Brooke: How are you feeling? A bit jet-lagged?

Hope: Uh, a little bit, yeah.

Ridge: You can always take off, uh, early today if you want.

Hope: Oh, thanks, Boss, but I can't. I am too excited.

Brooke: I'll bet your trip to Paris was a success.

Hope: I know. It was. God, it was so amazing. Um, there was something that I wanted to talk to you guys about, though. Um, Steffy's lingerie line.

Steffy: Hey, Dad, um, we're gonna order some food.

Thomas: Yeah, you want anything?

Brooke: Uh, actually, it's good that you're here, Steffy, 'cause Hope was just going to tell us something about your line.

Steffy: Oh, really? Hi.

Hope: Uh, well, when I was in Paris, I got some feedback, um, regarding the Intimates line, and people said that it was a little too provocative.

Steffy: Too provocative? For who? You?

Hope: For the international market. Given the comments that I heard, I think we should consider toning it down a little.

Steffy: Well, that's hardly your call, Hope.

Hope: No, you're right. It's not. It's yours. You're the C.E.O.

Taylor: You know, my-- my children got their hopes up. They--they were led to believe that their father would be coming home, and that their family would be reunited, but it didn't happen. And--and you know how much they wanted that.

Thorne: Taylor, it's not going to happen. Ridge isn't coming back.

Taylor: Oh, I realize that, and Steffy and Thomas know it, too. They have so much resentment towards Ridge... (Chuckles) They can't believe the way he handled that. I just... I don't want to make it worse.

Thorne: Well, you'll be doin' this for them, for your children, Taylor, giving them a brighter future.

Taylor: Yes, but as a mother, in good conscience, can... (Sighs) Can I set in motion a revolt against their father? Because that's exactly what I would be doing. I would be starting an uprising against Ridge.

Steffy: The Intimates line is lingerie. It's supposed to be provocative.

Hope: I am just repeating what I heard, okay? A lot of our clientele think it's too much.

Steffy: And you agree, of course.

Hope: I'm sorry, but, yeah, I do.

Steffy: Well, I don't. This is the most tasteful lingerie line we have ever had, and I have put everything into this. I mean, the designs are contemporary and beautiful, and the ad campaign is sexy and classy, and I'm gonna back it 100%.

Brooke: Ridge, we can't ignore the feedback. We have to listen to our customers. In times of a recession, people become more conservative. We've seen it before in the past.

Ridge: Steffy, I'm very proud of you. I know how much effort you put into this line.

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Ridge: But the truth is, recently, I've also been getting complaints about it being too suggestive. I just got an e-mail from Rick at International saying the same thing.

Steffy: Oh, great. Brooke's son. Another Logan trying to sabotage me, Dad.

Brooke: Nobody's trying to sabotage you.

Steffy: So what are you going to do? Are you going to kill Intimates?

Ridge: No, Sweetie, I'm not gonna kill it. Just tone it down, make it less provocative.

Steffy: Wow. (Sighs) Okay.

Ridge: Sweetheart, I hate to do this to you. I'm sorry. But it should be done.

Steffy: Yeah, I'm sorry, too. You know, it always felt like you had Thomas' and my back. But it's like you left us.

Thomas: Dad, it feels like you're turning your back on us.

Brooke: You shouldn't feel that way, Thomas.

Steffy: How is he supposed to feel? I mean, he was banished to the basement, and me-- I have to answer to Hope and Brooke. That's not fair. I mean, can't you see how oppressive they are?

Hope: Thomas is in shipping because he lied. I'm sorry, Thomas, but you did that to yourself.

Brooke: And you, Steffy, I've asked you repeatedly not to interfere in Hope and Liam's engagement, and you just won't listen to me.

Steffy: So this is personal.

Brooke: It's not. We all want what's best for the company and what's best for the family. Ridge has made his decision. We all need to respect that.

Steffy: Then we lost you, Dad.

Thorne: How many times have they done it to us, Taylor? Brooke, Ridge, my mother-- shoved us in the background. We let them do it. We've allowed it to happen.

Taylor: They've treated us like... it's hurtful, and I-it's-- it's humiliating. You know what I worry about? Thorne, I worry about my patients. What in the world do they think about me? I--how can they take anything I have to say seriously when they see how screwed up my life is?

Thorne: Taylor, don't, okay? You are a beautiful, intelligent, strong woman.

Taylor: No, no, no. Listen, you know how I was when you first met me. When I met Ridge, I had the whole world in front of me. I was on it. I was dynamic.

Thorne: And nothing's changed.

Taylor: Yes, yes, it has. I-I-I don't feel the same about me. You know, I-I don't regret the years that I had with Ridge. I don't. We have beautiful children from it, but... I just--I don't feel like I've been treated very fairly, and I-I've gone through a lot of loss. I have. And so have the children. They--they lost their father for goodness sakes. He walked out on them. They've lost their positions in the company. Thomas is down in the basement. And--and--and Steffy is being marginalized. (Scoffs) Oh, but look where Brooke is. Brooke is up at the top with Hope. Hope has now been hailed as "The Hope for the Future." She's the bright, shining star. You know what I feel? I-I feel like there-- there's been, like, a conspiracy or something against my children.

Thorne: We can make sure that doesn't happen.

Taylor: I'm tired of being pushed around. I am. And I-I-I want to see my children succeed. (Sighs) But, Thorne, to start a war? (Scoffs) To have the children go against their father and--and widen the rift, I... I can't do that.

Brooke: (Sighs) I am so sorry.

Ridge: I really don't like being caught in the middle.

Brooke: You are in a difficult position.

Ridge: I also don't want Steffy and Thomas to feel like I don't value their contributions. But that is exactly how they both feel.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Thomas: I'm sorry, Steff.

Steffy: You know what? I'm not even surprised that Dad sided with Brooke and Hope. I mean, it really is a common theme these days.

Thomas: I can only imagine how Mom feels. All she ever wanted was for us to be happy, and all we've ever wanted was for her to be happy.

Steffy: Well, maybe Anthony is right. You know, maybe things are gonna change for Mom. He's a psychic.

Thomas: What?

Steffy: Look, okay, Mom had a reading, and--and she didn't buy it, but he said that on a rainy night, this stray cat was going to appear, and then this--this guy was gonna just show up at the door, and--and he was, I don't know, like, the one.

Thomas: Wow, what are they puttin' in the coffee down there? Everyone knows it doesn't rain in L.A.

Steffy: It rained the other night. And I was at Mom's house, and you know what? We looked outside, and there was a cat on the patio

Thomas: Shut up.

Steffy: I-I swear!

Thomas: All right, what about the guy?

Steffy: I don't know. The only guy I saw there was Thorne.

Thomas: He's probably just checking up on her. He's been worried.

Steffy: Yeah. No, I really like him.

Thomas: I've been spending a lot of time with him now that we're working together in the dungeon.

Steffy: (Groans)

Thomas: I've got a lot of respect for the guy.

Steffy: Well, you know what? We're kind of alike. I mean, we're the underdogs. We get pushed to the background, and passed over and...

Thomas: Yeah, he can really relate to what Mom's going through. He's played second fiddle to Dad his whole life. Mom's played second fiddle to Brooke.

Steffy: Wait. Wait a minute. What--what if the mysterious man... what if it's Thorne?

Thorne: I get you don't want to cause trouble. But I think it's time. It's time to stir things up.

Taylor: Oh, I don't know.

Thorne: Look, you've been the dutiful ex-wife and the--and daughter-in-law, and I've been the son who wants to please. That has been our role. That's what we do. But it's time for a change. Wouldn't it be great to have a voice? To finally-- to finally be heard, Taylor? You have the power. You and your kids can start a new era at Forrester.

Taylor: Yes, but to go against Ridge? He is their father.

Thorne: Oh, Taylor, I'll say it again. I'll say it again. How many times have they done it to us? They have been riding this wave for way too long. It is time to redistribute power, to give someone else a shot. You said it yourself. You've already lost so much-- your best friend, Ridge, now your children are being pushed aside. If you don't get a hold of your future and their future, those two are gonna be left in Brooke's and Hope's dust. Listen, you and your kids have the power to exercise majority control of Forrester Creations. Do you understand how powerful that is?

Taylor: Yes.

Thorne: Well, then we'd be crazy not to act.

Taylor: I know. I know.

Thorne: I want to see you happy. I want to see you smile again. If you move forward with this, it will make all the difference in your life, in all of our lives. If we combine forces, nobody can stop us, Taylor, professionally and personally. This opportunity-- it's not going to come again. So don't let it pass by, okay?

Ridge: I don't want my kids being angry with me.

Brooke: I don't think they're angry with you.

Ridge: Disillusioned, yeah.

Brooke: They blame you for too much, most of which you don't deserve.

Ridge: I don't know, Logan. Have I messed things up here?

Brooke: Ridge, you are C.E.O. of this company. You have to make difficult decisions, and, unfortunately, people do get hurt. Thomas and Steffy have to realize that it's nothing personal.

Ridge: Ahh, but to them, it's very personal. I just seem to be constantly disappointing them.

Brooke: You're their father. You love them. They know that. They're just a little upset right now. But you made the right choice by keeping Thomas in shipping. It's good for him. It's character building. And you also made the right choice by toning down Steffy's Intimates line. If there are rumblings that it's too risqué, we need to respond to that.

Ridge: I just still worry about my kids. I can't really help it.

Brooke: Don't worry. You're a good father, and you're doing what's best for them, and one day, they will see that.

Ridge: Will they?

Taylor: Thorne, I'm so grateful for your support. They way you're backing me up-- me and my--my children, I-I know that you-- you really do want what's best for us.

Thorne: Yes, I do.

Taylor: I-I can't think of the last time that anybody has stood up for us. I-I can't.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Taylor: You're such an amazing man.

Taylor: You have the most beautiful heart. That's what I have always loved about you, Thorne.

Thorne: (Chuckles)

Taylor: (Sighs) See, that's the other thing that concerns me, is that I... I don't ever want to... I don't ever want to cause you pain... again. I'm sorry I had to bring that up.

Thorne: (Sighs) It was a terrible accident.

Taylor: I caused it. You lost your wife, and Aly lost her mother. Thorne, I've gotta tell you, it haunts me. It haunts me every day. It's haunted me to this day.

Thorne: (Sighs) You have to learn to forgive yourself. Listen, I forgave you years ago. I don't want this tragedy of the past to stand in our way, okay? And Darla wouldn't, either. She wouldn't. She'd be the first to say to go forward, to go after your future. She would. And that's what I want us to do, what I want you to do. Fate... fate has given you a gift, a gift. All that good karma that you've created through your life, Taylor, it's come back to you. It has come back to you, so use it. Run Forrester Creations with your children. Give them this opportunity. These kids are talented. They know the business. But most of all, damn it, they deserve it.

Taylor: Yes, they do. They do deserve it, and so do you.

Thorne: Okay. I'm ready to take this journey. If you're ready to move forward, Taylor, I will stand by you every step of the way. You'll have a man by your side who thinks the world of you. You stand up to my brother and to Brooke. You do it for yourself, me, and our children, because together, you and I will never be the underdog again.

Taylor: (Sighs)
