Anthony: I'm sorry.
Taylor: It's okay. We all have an off day.
Anthony: No, I'm sorry you're so sad.
Taylor: Well, I don't know that that's true. I--listen, I just came to drop by the food items for the food drive.
Dayzee: Oh, no, no, no. Just--just-- Taylor, give him a chance.
Anthony: Do you have a picture?
Taylor: Of what?
Anthony: Your driver's license, your doctor's license? I don't want to look at them. I just need to hold it in my hand.
Taylor: (Sighs) Let's see.
Dayzee: Go ahead.
Anthony: (Sighs) Your life is about to change you've been so lonely. A man... you won't have to go after him. He'll come right to your front door.
Taylor: Yes, a-a lot of men come to my door-- gardeners, mailmen.
Anthony: No, no. You'll see a sign he's coming. There will be a storm. You'll find a stray cat that same night.
Anthony: And that's when you will know that something new is about to begin. Please wait here. Please wait here a minute. Please.
Taylor: Okay. Thank you.
Anthony: I've gotta go back to work.
Taylor: What exactly am I waiting for?
Dayzee: (Chuckles) Um, he actually really doesn't do those anymore. It was kind of a special favor.
Stephanie: Well, actually, I was not sure that you would stay if you knew it was me that wanted to see you.
Donna: Uh, um, just a-a little bit tighter.
Amber: Yeah, you don't want it fallin' off
Donna: Yeah, he-- he knows, Amber.
Justin: I did it. Aw.
Donna: You did, and you did a great job.
Justin: Yes, this is my first time. I never got a chance to with--
Donna: I know.
Amber: You never, what?
Donna: He never got a chance to do that for Marcus.
Amber: Well, you know, there are all different kinds of fathers.
Donna: Yeah, that's right. There are.
Amber: You know, Marcus, he's gonna be a really great dad.
Amber: I just wish that, uh...well, I guess you guys know what I wish.
Dayzee: (Muttering) Oh, there it is.
Dayzee: You know, you can't just walk into a place of business and just start kissing people.
Marcus: You're mad that I'm late.
Dayzee: How would I know if you're early or late? I don't keep tabs on your behind when it comes in from lunch break empty-handed.
Marcus: I-I'm not empty-handed. See, I actually got everybody in shipping to donate to your food drive.
Dayzee: (Gasps) Really?
Marcus: Now all we gotta do is just go to the car and unload everything.
Dayzee: (Squeals) Let's go do it.
Marcus: Mm-hmm. Let's go.
Marcus: All right. (Chuckles) Isn't--isn't that Stephanie and Taylor over there?
Marcus: Looks like trouble.
Dayzee: Mm. It was bound to happen.
Marcus: You know, I thought you weren't talking to Stephanie yourself.
Dayzee: Not talking to people is too much work. Besides, it doesn't help them like you think it would. Come on. Let's go.
Marcus: All right.
Taylor: (Sighs) You have something you want to say to me?
Stephanie: Did I get the wrong message when I saw you at, uh, Hope's fashion show?
Taylor: You didn't think I would be civil? Making a big public spectacle isn't my scene, Stephanie. I'll leave that for you. What do you want?
Stephanie: Well, I... (Chuckles) I guess at this moment, you probably think it's-- it's impossible for us to ever be friends again. So I guess I'm going to ask, what do I have to do to make that possible?
Dayzee: You and the guys at shipping did very good.
Leilani: Marcus wins for biggest donation, okay?
Marcus: Okay. (Laughs)
Marcus: What, is this my prize?
Dayzee: Um, would you rather have a sardine sandwich? Seriously, an ounce of free coffee with every food donation, and people bring in those little cans of sardines that have been in the back of Grandpa's closet since he died. So we--who's gonna eat that?
Marcus: Somebody could fish with it.
Dayzee: That's what I like about you. You know, life hands you sardines or a baby that you did not expect, and you don't even complain. You just, like, figure it out.
Marcus: Uh, plus I'm cute. Don't forget that.
Dayzee: Who told you that? Amber?
Marcus: Why? Is that one of her lies?
Dayzee: Maybe this time, she was right about something.
Dayzee: Mnh-mnh. Eat your muffin. (Chuckles)
Justin: She seems like a very contented baby.
Amber: Yeah, once she's fed and changed, she's a happy little girl.
Amber: I wish her mom could be that way instead of always wanting something more. Do you guys mind if I ask you where you stand, you know, on--on the question of me and Marcus? Because raising Rosey together with him would make me so happy.
Justin: Well, that's really Marcus' decision, Amber.
Amber: I-I would just really like your support.
Justin: We've been supporting his relationship with Dayzee.
Donna: (Sighs) Amber, I-it's-- it's not like we think you're a bad person.
Justin: Actually, we do.
Donna: I'm--I'm sorry, but, yeah, we kind of do.
Taylor: What would it take to make it possible for us to be friends again? Well, maybe if the dream I had long ago came true. Why don't we call Anthony in here and ask him if that's going to happen?
Stephanie: And what dream would that be?
Taylor: The one where you're my real friend. The one where you actually cared about me instead of using me as a decoy to keep Brooke away from Ridge.
Amber: I know I've done some terrible things but... I wasn't always this way.
Justin: You tried to pass my son's baby off as somebody else's for money. How are we supposed to forget that?
Amber: I guess you can't. I'm sorry. I mean, you guys have been so nice to me. I just...
Donna: Well, I guess it's fair to say that we have seen a different side of you since Rosey's been born.
Amber: It's okay. I'm not gonna run off with her or not let you guys see her. Just...
Justin: How do we know what you won't do? You tried to rob Marcus of his child. Do you have any idea what that can do to a man?
Amber: Look, I don't-- I don't know what to say to you guys to make you understand any easier, okay? I guess--I guess I just must've been crazy. I mean, have you ever been so desperate that you don't even recognize yourself? And for what, huh? Living some not-so-happily-ever-after life with somebody who doesn't even like me? I know everybody thinks that I'm at home, and I'm--I'm crying these bitter tears because things didn't work out, but the truth is, that little girl there-- she is my salvation. Just by her existing and being who she is, she has untold all of my lies. And I had--I had this trap that I had built around myself, and that little baby, she set me free.
Donna: That's exactly the way I-I felt the day that Marcus found me. Justin never knew that I was pregnant. I gave up our son for adoption, and you never knew. I mean, he's forgiven me, of course, but it is-- it's hard sometimes, Amber. And that's why he's-- he gets so mad at you when you lie to Marcus like that. Look, I-I'm no one to throw the first stone. And if--if Justin can forgive me, well, then I'll forgive you. And if Marcus thinks that you make him happy, well, who am to stand in the way?
(Cell phone rings)
Amber: (Sighs) Thank you.
Amber: (Sniffles) (Sighs) Hey, Marcus. Hi. No, um, Rosey and I, we don't need groceries. We have all the essentials. And, um, your parents, they just brought me lunch. (Chuckles) Yeah, just--just for a visit. They're actually here right now.
Marcus: Well, don't let them mess up Rosey's nap, okay? Or she won't sleep tonight. All right. Later.
Dayzee: What's goin' on over there? Is Amber bonding with your parents?
Marcus: Well, anything is possible.
Dayzee: Clearly with Amber, the impossible is no obstacle.
Marcus: She's really not that bad. Still, I better go take a look. Thanks for the muffin.
Dayzee: You're welcome. Sorry about your walking away with less that you brought.
Marcus: So have you heard from Thomas lately?
Marcus: And that's okay with you? I mean, you guys were pretty tight.
Dayzee: Yeah, we were.
Marcus: You miss him?
Dayzee: I miss who he was trying to be. It's better this way.
Marcus: Good. I'm glad to hear it.
Stephanie: I love you, Taylor you are a woman that I admire and respect.
Taylor: Well, that may be true up to a point. But you also saw a woman that had some vulnerabilities and that you could control and dominate.
Stephanie: I love you as much as if you were my own child, as if you're my own flesh and blood.
Taylor: Well, I, you know, uh, that's not really my definition of love. I think what has been between us has been more of, like, a bargain we struck, or more accurately, more like a-a trade for qualities that we admire in each other. You've always had a lot of trouble trusting that good would prevail. And I've always been a little too altruistic for my own good, and you did teach me how to stand up for myself, but guess what? I am not going to have you defining who I am anymore. I'm not going to have you telling me how to feel or how to think or how to make a fool out of myself over Ridge one more time, ever. And you're asking me to stand here and figure out a way to restore our friendship? Even on its best days, I wouldn't want it back!
Stephanie: I've hurt you terribly. I know that.
Taylor: No, you just did what you always do. You used people like chess pieces. I mean... (Chuckles) I put myself in checkmate, and I took myself off your little chessboard of life.
Stephanie: Well, I guess that says it all, doesn't it? Um, you know, it-- I-it's just that I was... I was just kind of hoping that maybe we could, you know--
Taylor: What is that? What--what is that?
Stephanie: Oh. Um, well, if... if we're to be fair about things, um, I was thinking maybe, um, maybe we could work this out.
Taylor: You are unbelievable.
Amber: Hey. You didn't tell me you were coming over.
Marcus: Didn't think I had to. So you put moms and pops to sleep already?
Amber: Oh, they just left. I think I'm growing on them.
Marcus: Uh, don't you be growing on anybody, okay?
Amber: Uh, why not?
Marcus: Because every time you try, you go in too hard.
Marcus: Hey, how's my baby girl, huh? Hey, Rosey. Hey, Baby. How's my baby?
Amber: You were at Dayzee's when you called, weren't you? You know, she really needs some new CDs.
Marcus: (Chuckles) I'll make sure I tell her.
Amber: And by the way, what's Dayzee got that I don't have? Mm, aside from, you know, hips and a business of her own and... hmm, never mind.
Marcus: Don't you feel bad for all those people with ugly babies? What?
Amber: I was just wondering what other lies that I told you. I just figure that I should just clear everything up now while we're starting fresh and new.
Marcus: Amber, we're not new. We have a baby together.
Amber: Well, see? That's what's new. That's new.
Marcus: (Chuckles) Okay.
Amber: Did I tell you I went to law school? Hmm? I didn't tell you that my parents were terribly in love, and my father died before I was born, did I?
Amber: Liars lie, okay? I was a liar. I am just really trying to undo all of that right now. So I'm not bilingual. Mnh-mnh. And I was never in the national spelling bee. Oh, and that coyote thing? I-I never had a pet coyote and that, um... (Chuckles) The thing that you like to do in bed that I told you I'd never tried before? Yeah, I actually like that a lot. I just-- I didn't want to tell you, because I-I was afraid you would think I was slutty.
Marcus: I don't have a problem with slutty.
Amber: Oh, not even with the mother of your child?
Amber: Just-- I really don't want to be anything I used to be.
Marcus: Amber, there's no such thing as a complete fresh start. You're always starting over with the same raw material.
Amber: I just really want to change, Marcus, okay? No one's gonna want me the way I am. You won't want me.
Marcus: Amber, life gives you what it gives you for a reason.
Amber: Yeah, well, I want another reason it gave me you.
Amber: You don't have to kiss me back.
Amber: But you did, just a little.
Taylor: How's that? Is that clear for you? Are you gettin' my drift? Know what I'm sayin'?
Stephanie: Yes. Yes. I understand that you have very strong feelings about this. I--
Taylor: You made me stay here? You got Anthony to keep me here for that?!
Stephanie: No, look, Tom doesn't need these shares. He's going to inherit half of his father's shares and--and a portion of Eric's shares, and the damage that I've caused cannot be undone until we undo this agreement.
Taylor: I'm sorry. I--oh, I'm not understanding that part. I don't get that part. I don't know how that can undo anything. What can it undo? Help me understand. Is it my humiliation, maybe? Or the damage done to Thomas and his father's relationship?
Taylor: No, that cost us, Stephanie. And your loss of the Forrester company share is the price that you are going to pay.
Stephanie: I did this for you!
Stephanie: I knew you wanted him back. I knew it could never happen any other way.
Taylor: Did you actually just say that? Did you hear what you just said, what just came out of your mouth? You said that you were fully aware that Ridge didn't love me enough to come back to me on his own.
Stephanie: No, no, no, that is not what I said!
Taylor: Yes, you did! Well, it's a good thing that life is full of endless possibilities.
Stephanie: Yeah. Yeah, it is. Yes.
Taylor: I don't hate you, Stephanie. I really don't. I allowed you to use me. I allowed you to interfere in my life. And--and--and it-- the truth is, it's because I did, I did want the same thing you did.
Stephanie: That's what I always thought.
Taylor: But that's over. I have my own mind, Stephanie. And I can think for myself. I am tired of sitting on the sidelines. I am not letting life just happen to me anymore. I am free of that mindset. You know what? My life is just beginning. It's just starting, and I am ready for it.
