Thorne: Hey, it's time to get ready, Kendra.
Brooke: Oh, Honey, everybody is so excited.
Brooke: You have to be very proud. I know I am.
Hope: Oh, well, thank you. Thank you, but I will wait for the reviews. (Laughs)
Brooke: I'm sure they're be glowing.
Brooke: Are you okay? You're not worrying about Steffy, are you?
Hope: Uh, you know what? Steffy's gonna do what she always does.
Hope: She's gonna throw herself at yet another man...
Hope: Except this time it's--its Liam. But I'm not gonna let her make me feel insecure. I'm not, okay? I-I know how Liam feels about me, and I trust him completely.
Steffy: It's gonna be great. Oh, great. Thank you so much for coming. Oh, um, excuse me. Hey, Dad. I saw your designs backstage. They are exquisite.
Ridge: Thank you, but it's not just me. Hope had a lot to do with it as well.
Steffy: Okay. Hope is on the label, but I know you and Granddad did all the heavy lifting, okay?
Ridge: Sweetheart, Hope deserves a lot of support today, including from you.
Steffy: And-- and you're right. I-I support her professionally. But I also saw Liam earlier on today.
Ridge: How is he?
Steffy: He's... lonely.
Steffy: You know what? He is a single man. He's not married. He's dating a girl who is a committed virgin. Take the fact that he saved my life, and I'm not gonna treat him like some kind of stranger, all right?
Ridge: Hope has very strong convictions, Sweetheart.
Steffy: Okay. But they're her convictions, not mine. You know, she has to make her own decisions. You know what? The more I hang around Liam, I really don't think he can wait any longer. And I don't think he should.
Liam: Hey, Guys.
Steffy: Hi. Hey, Liam.
Liam: Hi, Steffy.
Ridge: You, my friend, are definitely the man of the hour.
Liam: (Scoffs) (Laughs)
Ridge: Thank you.
Liam: Glad I could be there.
Ridge: Me, too.
Steffy: Yeah, I'm pretty happy about that myself.
Taylor: Hello, Liam.
Liam: Hey, Dr. Hayes.
Taylor: It's so good to see you here. Are you here for the show, or are you here to hang out and visit Steffy?
Liam: Uh, no, Spencer Publications, Ma'am.
Taylor: Oh, well, it's gonna be quite an event.
Liam: Oh, yeah. It's gonna be huge. You can count on it.
Brooke: They almost lost her, Hope.
Hope: I know. I know. And now Liam's their hero. You know, I'm glad. I'm glad. I would never want anything bad to happen to Steffy. She is my step-sister, whether she wants to admit it or not.
Brooke: I just want you to stay focused.
Hope: I will.
Brooke: Tonight is the culmination of a lot of hard work.
Hope: Yes, it is. It's my big night. The designs are fabulous, and I'm--I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.
Liam: All right, I'm gonna grab a seat.
Steffy: Oh, actually, I have a spot reserved for you right there.
Liam: Uh, thank you. That's--that's okay. I'm gonna stick to the back.
Pam: (Scoffs) First one out the door at the end of the show?
Pam: I'll be right there with you.
Steffy: All right, Hero, have fun.
Pam: Whoa. I know that look.
Steffy: What? You know, I-I think I'm gonna check up on Hope.
Stephanie: Psst, Pam.
Stephanie: (Whispering) Uh, we're having some credential issues downstairs.
Pam: Gate crashers?
Pam: I'll handle it.
Stephanie: (Normal voice) Wait. Please be tactful.
Pam: Of course I'll be tactful, Step. Riffraff.
Eric: Ridge, shouldn't you be backstage?
Ridge: It's all handled, Dad.
Eric: Well, who's doing the final checks?
Ridge: Hope. This is her show. I think it's gonna be great.
Taylor: You must be so proud of her.
Ridge: I am completely proud. She's worked very hard on this. I want it to go off without a hitch.
Hope: Careful of your turns, okay? All right, thanks.
Steffy: Big buzz. You ready for this?
Hope: Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?
Steffy: Oh, I'm just asking. It's a big night for Forrester.
Hope: I know.
Steffy: Well, you seem a little distracted.
Hope: Nope, I'm just going through some stuff. It doesn't have to do with you. It doesn't even have to do with Liam.
Steffy: Okay. Well, you don't have to change on my account.
Hope: (Laughs) Trust me, that will never happen.
Steffy: Look, Hope, I admire you, you know, for sticking with your principles. Just don't hold it against Liam if he doesn't share the same views.
Hope: Look, Steffy, we've talked about it. Liam loves me. He respects me. And I'm not worried.
Marcus: All right, Cherise, Brittany, Fontana, you all know your changing stations and your dressers, okay? All right, looking good. Let's move. All right.
Oliver: I'll be standing by if anything goes wrong with those girls, all right?
Marcus: That's a good move. (Chuckles) Hey. Hey, Baby.
Dayzee: Hi! Mwah!
Oliver: Uh, I'll go check out the runway.
Dayzee: I think we made Oliver uncomfortable.
Marcus: Nah, Ollie just needs a girl in his life right now.
Marcus: You know, I've been here before but not--
Dayzee: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm.
Marcus: Mm. Okay.
Stephanie: Steffy could have died.
Ridge: It's all right, Mother. She's okay. Thank God Liam was there.
Eric: She has seen a doctor, right?
Ridge: Yes. There's no concussion, no side effects.
Stephanie: What would you have done if you had lost that child?
Ridge: I don't even want to think about that.
Brooke: You really need to do something about Steffy.
Taylor: Oh, my gosh. What are you doing?
Brooke: You know what I'm talking about-- Steffy's sudden fascination with Liam.
Taylor: What would you have me do, tell her to quit talking to him? Uh, he saved her life.
Brooke: You're encouraging this.
Taylor: No, I have come to learn that trying to micromanage my grown daughter's love life is not a very good idea.
Brooke: So you're in favor of it.
Taylor: No, I am staying out of it.
Brooke: I can't believe you're being so insensitive.
Brooke: Hope and Liam are in love.
Taylor: Well, I was in love, and I was married. Did that stop you from interfering?
Taylor: No, I don't think so.
Brooke: That's what this is about, payback?
Taylor: No. No. Gosh, Brooke, no. As if you should be lecturing me about the rules of love, you're the one who lives by the credo "All's fair in love and war." Hmm?
Brooke: Just tell Steffy to stay away from Liam. If you don't, I will.
Liam: Uh, Mr. Forrester?
Ridge: Yes, Liam?
Liam: You got a minute?
Ridge: For the young man that saved my daughter's life, I think I can spare more than a minute
Liam: (Laughs) Yeah, that was, uh, that was something pretty crazy. Every time I think about it, it's... just--
Ridge: Thank God you didn't walk away from the door when she never answered.
Liam: Yeah, I know. Pretty out of character for me. I mean, I normally wouldn't just unlock somebody's apartment door and walk in like that.
Ridge: What, did you just have an instinct that something was wrong?
Liam: You know, I-I-I knew that she had to be hurting pretty badly after what happened with... uh... with my dad.
Ridge: Yeah. Where you there to lend support?
Liam: Yeah, I guess. I mean, what your daughter and I went through was pretty intense, but, um... it doesn't change the way I feel about Hope.
Ridge: Liam, I am extremely happy to hear you say that.
Liam: Yeah, you know, I mean, I just thought you should know. Uh, you're just as much a father to Hope as you are to Steffy, and I would never want to hurt either of them. Yeah, I was there for Steffy when she needed me, but... I'm always gonna be there for Hope.
Thorne: Listen, at the end of the show, you'll do four passes on the runway, okay? I mean, it's the showstopper.
Hope: I know. I got it.
Thorne: All right. People, let's go. We open in a couple of minutes.
Hope: I have nothing more to say to you, Steffy.
Steffy: Okay. No hard feelings?
Hope: Look, nothing has changed between Liam and me, okay?
Steffy: I know that.
Hope: And I'm gonna stay true to what I believe in.
Steffy: And like I said, I admire you for that, okay?
Hope: (Laughs) No, you don't. You view it as an opportunity to go after my boyfriend.
Steffy: Hope, I am not trying to mess up your life, okay?
Steffy: But people tend to get sick of the whole Hope for the Future preaching thing.
Hope: Wow. I-I'm trying to be a role model.
Steffy: Okay, but this is not a children's line.
Steffy: No, this is for women, real women, something your boyfriend's craving. Good luck.
Thomas: Groups three, four, and five, Dad narrates, then the showstopper. Everything's in tandem.
Thorne: Two minutes, People. Two minutes.
Thomas: (Whistles) Hey, you hearing me?
Hope: Yeah. No, I got it.
Thomas: Whatever's bothering you, Hope, you need to leave it backstage. There's too much riding on this.
Hope: (Clears throat) I'm fine. I'm fine.
Thomas: All right. Don't rush your passes. You're gonna be great.
Thomas: Hey, Dude, can you give our little star a pep talk?
Liam: Uh, yeah.
Liam: What's going on?
Hope: Oh, nothing. Nothing. Just pre-show jitters. That's all. Are you filling in for Jarrett?
Liam: Uh, yeah, I gave him the day off. I, uh, I wanted to be here for you.
Hope: Mm. You did?
Liam: Yeah. I've got a question for you.
Liam: It's kind of important.
Hope: Oh, can it wait? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I have to go on, okay?
Hope: (Inhales sharply)
Liam: Oh, hey. One more thing.
Hope: Oh. Mm. Mm. (Giggles)
Ridge: Ladies and gentlemen, our very own Hope for the Future, Hope Logan.
Hope: (Sighs) Okay. (Clears throat)
Hope: Members of the press, family, friends, welcome. Hope for the Future continues to grow. We began as a statement from one generation to another, a statement of change, of heightened awareness, defined not only by the clothes that we wear, but by the beliefs that we share. Integrity, self-respect, restraint-- all principles that helped guide us while we designed this amazing collection, and principles that help guide the generations who wear it. Now we know that we cannot hold true to these beliefs without sacrifice and commitment to our minds and our bodies. Whether it's social or sexual responsibility or the richness and tradition of the Forrester name, we will not fall prey to the instant gratification of cheap thrills. We hold ourselves to a higher standard. We are Hope for the Future.
(Upbeat music playing)
Liam: That was so awesome.
Hope: Thank you!
Hope: Mm. Okay, I have to get ready for the showstopper.
Liam: Okay, still have a question for you, though. It's really important. It's about Hope for the Future. So--
Hope: Can it wait? Because I have to stay focused right now.
Liam: Aah! Okay, focused. Got it.
Hope: Okay, great. So I'm gonna hit the runway I'm going to do f-four passes.
Liam: Four passes?
Hope: Yes, four. Uh, and then I have to answer questions from a reporter, so it's going to have to wait until after the show.
Liam: So, uh, what if it can't wait?
Hope: (Giggles) Liam, stop it! What is going on with you? Go! Get out of here. Go. (Laughs)
Marcus: So what do you think?
Dayzee: Hope's really impressive.
Ridge: Looks good.
Steffy: Yeah, it's cute as a button. Just gets a little old after a while.
Brooke: Well-received, I'd say. (Sighs)
Steffy: Yeah, Hope is very sweet and innocent. I'm sure she didn't really get that from you.
Brooke: It kills you to see Hope succeed, or is it Liam?
Steffy: I'm not following.
Ridge: She's an inspiration, a trend-setter, a role model-- Hope Logan. I'm very proud to call her my daughter. Ladies and gentlemen, the centerpiece of our collection-- Hope for the Future's showstopper modeled by... guess who?
