Steffy: Can't we be a family again? We were so close. I thought you wanted that.
Ridge: I did, Steffy...
Ridge: But based on a lie.
Steffy: And I get that. And what Thomas did was horrible. But what's changed? Nothing.
Ridge: Look, Sweetie, I don't need to be married to your mother for us to be a family. You know that.
Steffy: Then please don't just leave us for Brooke. Dad, I can't go through this again. I can't lose you.
Hope: No! No way!
Brooke: (Laughing) I am serious. Stephanie was really singing.
Katie: Oh, my gosh--singing?
Brooke: I know.
Donna: With Eric?
Brooke: Yep, he was playing the piano, and she said that she would do anything I wanted, and that's what I wanted, so-- I mean, it was quite a sight.
Donna: In front of the entire restaurant?
Brooke: Well, it wasn't really crowded.
Donna: But still, it's brave.
Brooke: Yeah, it was brave.
Brooke: Not just for her singing, but she was vulnerable to me, too.
Hope: I'll get it (Sighs)
Brooke: Well, anyway, you know what? It doesn't really matter the way she sounded, right? I mean, she told a lie, and it affected a lot of people, and now she's trying to make amends.
Liam: Hey. Oh! Oh!
Hope: (Giggles) Hey. Come in! Come in! I thought you'd be at the airport by now.
Liam: I know. No, I had to come see you.
Hope: (Sighs, laughs)
Liam: I heard about your mom and Ridge. Is it--is that true?
Hope: Do you see the look on her face right now?
Hope: Yeah. My parents are back together. (Giggles)
Liam: A lot of that going around lately, huh?
Hope: Yeah. (Laughs)
Steffy: Bill, I love you.
Bill: I love you, too.
Justin: Worrying about Liam handling his first solo business trip?
Bill: No, he's gonna be fine. Actually, I should give him a call before he leaves for the airport.
Justin: I just spoke to Donna. I'm assuming you heard.
Bill: About Ridge's non-wedding? Yeah
Justin: Yeah, it should be great news for our wives.
Bill: It is.
Justin: Okay, so what's going on with you?
Bill: It's great news for Katie, not so terrific news for Steffy.
Katie: So where's Ridge? Is he still with Stephanie and Eric?
Brooke: No, he went over to Taylor's.
Donna: Wait, he went to see Taylor?
Brooke: Well, he went to see Steffy. She was very disappointed about what happened today, so he went to console her...
Brooke: Or at least try.
Ridge: Steffy, you're not losing me if I go back to Brooke. I just don't want to disappoint you.
Steffy: Then come home. Yeah, Thomas lied, but that should not change your feelings for mom.
Ridge: It doesn't.
Steffy: So what, you love Mom, but you love Brooke more? (Scoffs) (Sniffles)
Ridge: Sweetheart, Brooke and I would still be married if it wasn't for that lie. You know that.
Steffy: But you're not married. You're not, so you don't have to go back to her.
Ridge: Leaving Brooke for something that she didn't do-- wouldn't that be wrong as well?
Steffy: Okay, so you're just gonna go back to Brooke and just forget about your kids?
Ridge: I'm not forgetting about you at all. My children always my top priority, Sweetheart. Keep in mind I still have to think about me as well.
Steffy: (Sniffles) Dad, we are talking about me! You have me! (Sobs)
Ridge: Steffy... R.J. is still very young. You don't even live at home anymore.
Steffy: Oh, my-- oh, I didn't realize you stopped needing your parents after a certain age. It's just so easy for you to leave me.
Ridge: I'm not abandoning you, Steffy. It doesn't matter who I'm married to. It doesn't matter where I live.
Ridge: You are my daughter. And I will always be by your side. You're right. There's no age limit for needing your dad. I know that better than anyone. And I pray that you're always gonna need me, that I'll be the first person you come to for anything.
Steffy: I am coming to you. I am begging you to just think for us once.
Ridge: I'm sorry.
Steffy: Then leave.
Steffy: Please just go!
Ridge: Sweetheart, also keep in mind, please, that I very often have to do what's best for me, too. I am not abandoning you. I love you very much, and you know it.
Justin: So your wife's sister gets this life-changing news, and you're thinking about Steffy.
Bill: All right, don't give me a hard time. I'm very happy for Katie and her family. It's a huge relief. But I know how badly Steffy wanted her parents back together.
Justin: It's not like she's 5 years old.
Bill: That's not the point, Justin. If you'd seen them in the South Pacific, the way that Ridge and Taylor and Steffy came together to search for Thomas, they were a family, at least what I've always imagined a family to be.
Bill: Not taking anything away from Ridge and Brooke, but seeing Ridge and Taylor together, I understand how they worked and why Steffy would fight so hard to get them back together.
Justin: All right. (Sighs)
Bill: Anyway, that's not why you came here. What do you got?
Justin: Exactly. I need your John Hancock on the top copy. Thank you, Sir.
Bill: Not a word.
Justin: Come on. You don't have to say that, all right? It's between us.
(Cell phone ringing)
Steffy: (Breathing heavily)
Steffy: Hello? (Sighs)
Bill: You okay? I heard what happened.
Steffy: Not okay.
Bill: Where are you?
Steffy: I don't know. I'm just driving.
Bill: You shouldn't be driving. I can hear how upset you are.
Steffy: I don't care. Nothing matters to me anymore. (Sniffles) Nothing matters.
Bill: Steffy, pull over.
Steffy: I'm hanging up on you now.
Bill: Don't hang up I want to see you. Where are you?
Steffy: I don't know. Driving by the beach.
Steffy: Yeah, maybe.
Bill: Meet me at my house.
Steffy: (Scoffs) No, I don't think I can deal with Katie right now.
Bill: The cliff house. It'll just be the two of us.
Steffy: (Sighs) Okay.
Bill: I'm on my way.
Brooke: How did it go?
Ridge: Not so well. (Sighs)
Brooke: Were you able to get through to her?
Ridge: I don't think so. (Sighs) She's just, uh, taking this all very had.
Hope: I'm sure she's just in shock right now.
Ridge: I think we all are, to some degree. (Groans) But Steffy's just in a bad place right now. It's almost delusional about everything.
Ridge: I'm really worried about her.
(Car horn honks)
(Truck horn honks)
Steffy: (Breathing heavily)
(Cell phone rings)
Ridge: Steffy, please call me when you get this message. I'm worried about you, Sweetheart. I just want to know that you're safe.
Brooke: She's still not answering?
Ridge: No. Maybe I should have stayed with her.
Donna: Well, she's not alone, right? I mean, isn't she with Taylor?
Ridge: Taylor said she left after me. I've tried her cell phone. Mother said she wasn't at the guesthouse.
Brooke: Maybe she just needs a little time. Give her the night. She'll call you in the morning.
Katie: Well, uh, I think we should head out.
Donna: Yeah. (Sighs) And you know, I-- maybe it's kind of wrong of me to say, but, congratulations.
Donna: I know a lot of people were hurt, but the truth is out, and I couldn't be happier for you both.
Brooke: Thank you. (Laughs)
Katie: You know, this has inspired me. Everything that you and Ridge have gone through and you're miraculously back together-- it just--it makes me want to do something amazing for my husband and for my marriage.
Brooke: Like what?
Katie: I don't know. But I just want Bill to know that I am unconditionally committed to him.
Brooke: That would be wonderful. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that you have to show the people you love how much you care about them.
Katie: Thanks. That's good advice.
Brooke: Did you hear anything?
Ridge: No, not yet.
Katie: You know what? Don't worry about Steffy. Honestly, I know she's upset right now you--you feel bad about it, but she's tough. She's gonna get through this, and I'm guessing she's gonna call you tomorrow with a clear head.
Ridge: Yeah, I hope so.
Ridge: Maybe it's the rain. I don't know. It just makes me nervous wondering where she is, what she's doing. (Inhales sharply) I just wish she'd at least text me and tell me she's safe at a friend's house or whatever. I--
Katie: I'm sure that's where she is. She's with a friend. She's with somebody who's listening to her telling her not to give up on her dad. Wherever she is, I'm sure she's fine.
Steffy: Come on! (Sighs)
(Car door opens)
(Car door closes)
Bill: You're okay. I'm here now.
Ridge: If you do hear from her, let me know right away. (Sighs) All right, thanks, Madison.
Brooke: What about Summer? Steffy could be with her.
Ridge: That's a good idea.
Brooke: I think I have her number upstairs.
Liam: Okay, now I really have to go.
Hope: Mm. Can't you fly out tomorrow?
Liam: No. No. The meeting's first thing in the morning, but I'll be back before you know it.
Hope: Oh, great. What am I supposed to do tonight while those two make up for lost time?
Liam: Sit in quiet reflection thinking about how wonderful I am.
Liam: Hmm? Okay.
Hope: Okay. Okay. I like it. Yeah. I do feel kind of bad for my dad. I just--I really want Steffy to call him back.
Liam: Yeah. Well, she's probably blowing off steam.
Hope: Yeah. I'm sorry. I can't help it. I mean, I feel really bad for Steffy, but I just-- I mean, things couldn't have worked out better for my family, and I am so happy for my mom.
Liam: Well, I love to see you smile.
Ridge: I'm sure she's okay. Just if you do hear from her, please let me know. And ask her to text me, all right? All right, thanks, Summer. I'll see you tomorrow.
Hope: Don't mind us. We will get out of your way.
Ridge: Well, at least one daughter's happy.
Brooke: (Sighs) Yeah.
Brooke: This has been very difficult on Steffy, but she will reach out to you soon, I'm sure. Right now we just have to trust that she's somewhere safe and with somebody who cares.
Bill: All right. I'm gonna get you a towel and grab one of Liam's T-shirts.
Steffy: Thanks. Where is Liam tonight?
Bill: He's out of town-- business trip. Here you go.
Steffy: Thank you.
Bill: You're welcome.
Steffy: So we have this place to ourselves?
Bill: We do.
Bill: Must have been terrible. But its better the truth came out now.
Steffy: No. The truth shouldn't have mattered. My dad had a chance to bring our family back together, and he blew it. (Sighs) (Groans) Yeah , I mean, he was lied to, and I know that was wrong, but that shouldn't have stopped him from fixing things. You know, he'd just rather chase after Brooke and beg her to come home. I know she's gonna hurt him again. You know, my mom wasn't the only one left at the altar. I was, too. I don't think my family's ever gonna recover from this. Thomas and my grandmother-- they definitely made sure of that. They just deceived us all, you know? And I don't know how I'm gonna help my mom or if she's ever gonna get over this, and my dad... (Chuckles) well, he turned his back on me again, and I really feel like I have nobody on my side and I have nothing left to give, and my dad just walks out on me over and over again. (Scoffs)
Bill: Hey. You have me, so you are not alone in the world, and I don't want to hear any more about your life not being worthwhile. There is not a woman I know who has more going for her-- intelligence, beauty, strength, commitment. When we were searching for Thomas, and I saw your level of devotion, of loyalty, I was in awe. Sometimes I would just find myself staring at you.
Steffy: (Laughs) (Sniffles)
Bill: Did you know I was watching you, admiring you?
Bill: And when we found your brother, I have never been happier for anyone in my life.
Bill: When I kissed you on that plane, Steffy, when I told you that I loved you, I meant it.
Bill: Never in a million years did I think I would find myself in this position, but I have I am captivated by you... my beautiful Steffy.
